Nothing is worse for the adaptation of a still-publishing novel than a filler ending, especially if the anime turned out to be rather popular, as is the case with Ore no Imouto. The problem with filler endings of course, is that it's extremely difficult to make a sequel that is still faithful to the original material. I imagine the producers at Aniplex were quite peeved and banging their heads against the wall about 6 episodes in, when they realized that their anime could be milked for at least another season. But what can they do now? There isn't enough episodes left to change the filler ending. Then one sensible producer, whom I will dub Jim, pointed out that there is this thing called the interwebz, and they could just post new episodes up there, if only for the sake of continuity. And all the studio were happy and had party that night, and Jim got a big promotion. If you watched the original 12 episodes and liked it, then you'll probably like this, because it's more or less the exact same thing, only a slight different (and longer) ending. This arc DOES feature Kuroneko over Kirino, so if you're a fan of her then go wild. And of course to fans of the novel, this IS a faithful adaptation, so if you didn't like the filler ending then you'd probably like this one. Everything else, art, music, characters, still maintain the high level of quality as the tv series, so it is still the Ore no Imouto that we know and love. Nothing else to say really, except with this new ending, hopes for a second season are high. *fingers crossed* =3

I'm critiquing this anime based solely on the present story progression without any hindsight pertaining to the light novel. It has been my experience that reading the original material before watching the animation may result in set expectations that might negatively impact one's opinion of the animation. That being said, no I did not enjoy the specials at all. I understand this was an effort to continue the series with what little ongoing story material not covered in the televised series. However, from what was presented in the specials, I think that the overall series would've benefitted more from original televised ending. I do understand that the stories in light novels often continue even after their animated counterpart's intended ending and because of that we viewers are subjected, at many times, to sudden cliffhangers that leave the stories open ended. If a light novel series proved to be successful, the story may be revisited with a second season of animation. Animated specials, on the other hand, contain materials that were not featured in the televised series for reasons uncontrollable by the producers. They often feature side stories that provides insight into the story but not enough to further the development of the story on their own. For that reason, the animated special of Ore no Imouto failed. It was too short to be a second season on its own and contain too much development to be half-hearted animated special. The animated special continues the story with what is considered the "true path" in line with the story development from the light novel. Kirino was removed from the main cast while Kuroneko and Kyosuke was pushed to the center stage. There were minor re-introductions of several secondary characters like Saori and the game club's president as well as the introduction of new characters like various members of the game development club and Sena Akagi. This too was another weak point of the animated specials. I never did like Kirino, however, she is the glue that ties this story together; removing her and placing Kyosuke as the story's focus was a stupid idea. Kyosuke, of course, can't function without being a hero coming to the rescue of young maidens and for that Kuroneko replaced Kirino's position. The story hinted at the romantic tension implied as the schoolmate replaced the younger sister's position but with all due intent, the romantic development between Kuroneko and Kyosuke was much anticipated. However, even that was cut short by second cliffhanger ending the animated special provided. And to further comment, nothing is more frustrating than seeing two Japanese teenagers taking such a puritanical approach to dating. Sena Akagi was hilarious and interesting for exactly 30 seconds. The gay joke dies quickly. The rest of the cast received no development. I won't comment much on the music or art as those rarely impact the value of an animation to me unless in the case that they were extraordinary; they weren't but they weren't bad either. I do no hate animated special or the Ore no Imouto series but am just disappointed at the decision the production staff has taken. They could've just waited a while longer for the author to release more novels and created an eventful second season but instead they opted for a lackluster continuation that dragged on throughout the summer. In short, the animated specials were a story of Kyosuke and Kuroneko NOT doing anything.

I've already watched both seasons of OreImo, and decided I wanted to rewatch them and write reviews for each section right after finishing them. If you're on the fence about watching this show, here's how it is: OreImo is a damn good Romcom, and if you enjoy that kind of light hearted show, you should definitely watch it. This here is the "True Arc" ending to season 1. Basically, this is what happened when the first season surpassed expectations and the anime producers thought "We need to find a way to milk this more. That produced these 4 episodes of alternate ending to the first season, which I hear follow the manga. And god damn is it a treat. Now, if you're going to watch this, I expect you've seen the first season. If you haven't, don't be an idiot and start at the beginning. Since you've seen the first season, no need to delve into plot. You'll get a fair amount of what the first season delivered: fun characters, a decent setting and a fair amount of comedy. These four episodes however focus much more on Kyousuke than the first season, since Kirino is sort of removed from the scene for a while. Since one of the main characters is gone, we obviously need new characters, right? The main addition to the cast is the colorful Akagi Sena. She's... a surprising character, who adds a new dimension to the whole 'Otaku culture study' feel that this anime has. Other than that, a few other characters are introduced, but they are mostly secondary. We also see Kuroneko coming to the front of the stage. She's a now a student in Kyousuke's school, and as a result of this, the two become closer than before. It leads to some pretty entertaining situations, and in fact, most of these 4 episodes consists of Kyousuke sticking his nose in Kuroneko's affairs and trying to help her out. So really, these 4 episodes are a pleasant addition to the first season, and if you enjoyed that, you'll enjoy this. I will say however that although this is only 4 episodes long, I actually enjoyed it more than the first season. There were far more laugh out loud moments, as the writing seems altogether better than previously. There is also a sense of progression, where Kyousuke is helping Kuroneko out, learning things about himself and all this in 4 episodes, whereas the first season sometimes seemed a little slow, with little actual progression going on. It's a short little changing to the old ending and a promise of more good to come. And if you plan to watch season 2, you had better watch these cus I made the mistake of not seeing these the first time I watched season 2 and goddamn was it confusing.

I’m not going to use arbitrary numbers since that’s not going to help you understand what I just watched. These episodes are the true ending of Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai (or Oreimo [or My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute]), so it goes without saying that you need to watch the first season of the show in order to understand them. Now it’s hard for me to quantify this series on a scale of whether I like it or don’t like it (I really like it), because it’s just so damn charming and I get the feeling it shouldn’t be. This 4 episode ending carries on the endearing nature of the show, but adds a little more spice to a few of the side characters (mainly Kuroneko) since this is the alternate route where Kirino actually leaves Japan for track and field training. There’s also a bunch of new characters (some you may be more familiar with than you realize) which opens up a whole new dialogue. I can’t help but be oddly smitten by this strange grouping of characters and story points and I feel like anyone would be too provided you’re not here for incestuous diddling. Spoilers. I’m simple and I like my romances much the same (I’m not here for romance, I promise). These episodes that make up the “True Route” are very characteristic of your high school romance, but they still capture that spirit of comradery and rivalry that remained constant throughout all of Oreimo. It’s just a continuation of the series so anything that I said regarding art, sound and any other technical aspects remains the same. It’s still colorful and has a great soundtrack, moving on. This isn’t like the first ending to the series which was really sweet (because the siblings finally got along). Instead it’s a little more bitter which is alright, because a series like this can’t be too sweet for too long. They’re worth the watch since it’s a totally different ending to the series and it’s cool to see this story about visual novels (most of the eroge presented are VNs as far as I can tell) be treated like one. ALSO, make sure you watch these if you’re continuing on to season 2. OTHERWISE the beginning will spoil all the new characters/events that take place.

This arc is the true ending of Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai from the novel which serves as an alternate ending to anime's lackluster filler ending. It adds to the character development to Kuroneko; fans of Kuronecko will love this ending while the Kirino fans may find this to be lacking. The quality of the anime remains the same with the special.

If you are watching this a decade later just as me, you probably had the opportunity to watch another work from the dearest Taketatsu Ayana, Dagashi Kashi Season 2. This ONA has the EXACT same problem Dagashi Kashi had: "where is the protagonist?", we still have Kyousuke and the upgraded to main character Gokou "Kuroneko" Ruri, but honestly I don't get the hype over her, maybe it is yet another Hanakana character that people love for the seiyuu and not for itself. Anyway, the main issue is "where is the 'imo' of 'oreimo'?". Kirino doesn't show up until the second half of the last episode, and considering episode 12 TRUE ENDING is at least 50% the same as the episode 12 of season 1, you could say that Kirino was vanishing of her own show for almost 70% of the time, what's the point? They weren't trying to show how Kyousuke missed her, the writers were developing Kuroneko's story since she will be a main character in season 2, so his longing for Kirino was secondary in this ONA, despite what he says in the last episode. So most of the time in this ONA the "little sister" thing felt collateral to what was going on, if it was any other series, alright this ONA would have been good, average score a bit too high imo, but still at least a 7, but that is not the case, this was supposed to be a show about a "little sister", where the little sister shows up in the last moments, they didn't bother to make the episodes about Kyousuke missing her, only about Kuroneko. That's why I felt that Dagashi Kashi 2 is the same as this, and oh the irony that Ayachi happens to be in those two shows, still I really like her.

This was a very compelling alternate version even though I haven't read the novel of it. I thought these specials were amusing and promising with the exception of Kiriono's appearance, which, in my opinion, made the series empty. Here are my thoughts on these specials: Story (8) Not as interesting and gripping as the original series but it was good. The only story I ever like in the specials is Kuroneko's feelings for Kyosuke. I get excited and happy whenever she's around him. Art (10) Like the series, the art is flawless and artsy. Sound (7) There's nothing say that much about the background music; it's just there for the dramatic moment, nothing less. Characters (10) The characters, notably Kuroneko, have progress a lot in these specials. Who knew Kuroneko takes care of her siblings while her parents are out doing work and Saori being a rich girl living in a huge mansion. What an unexpected surprise from these two. Enjoyment (9) I genuinely enjoy these hilarious alternate specials. There were humorous jokes about being perverted and girls loving yaoi and emotional scenes of Kuroneko and Kyosuke. I guess you can say it was melodramatic and comedy. Overall (10) Even though Kirino was in America practicing for her race track, I enjoyed the specials. It was very fun and dramatic.

OPINION TEXT ONLY - Contains spoiler First of all, before I make any remarks on these special episodes, I scored Ore No Imouto Konnani Kawaii Wake Ga Nai with a 4. There were lots of flutuations in quality, a big lack of criativity and a very, very annoying Kirino by the barrel full. Nonetheless, I gave these specials a chance. I quite didn't like (or dislike) the first episode (the real episode 12) until the last part, when Kirino actually travalled to the USA. It's in episodes 2 and 3 that I really, really loved these specials. The abcense of Kirino and the main role for Kuroneko payed off. There were lots of enjoyable moments, good dialogues and characters, even though some people may not like the excessive approach on the otaku community. I personally loved the Akagi-Fujoshi thing, the constant yaoi references and the acting. Then, episode 4 kinda disappointed. Standard Ore No Imouto episode, Kirino as the main star (that's bad) and another bad conclusion. I mean, how''s it possible that after a bad ending, the producers create a series of specials to counter that, and still make the same mistake, ending, yet again, in an awful way? I would like to stood out the excelent and very loveble character Kuroneko, which was very well voiced. Her lines were particullary pleasant, and she kept the show rolling with a good pacing. My real problem with the True Route, is the following: being this an attempt to erase the original ending, it failed miserably, because it ends with another bad ending. That's why, independent of the great amount of enjoyment and particular affection to Kuroneko, I score the True Route with a 7.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Specials, or just take out Specials and put in OVA, is of course the "better" ending of Ore....now i really don't normally write reviews for animes in which i agree with the majority of others and their opinions on the anime in question, but why not. This is definately something to watch if you found the series enjoyable....the only problem being that the two middle episodes don't really add anything to the emotions or story as far as progression (there was plenty enough build up in the series and so much character progression that these 2 episodes only really explore Ruri's relationship to Kousaka...which at this point is not the first thing on everyone's minds as Kirino is the main focus), and the first episode (except for minor details) is a repeat of episode 11 from the tv series. What sucked the most was the fact that Kirino was too much of a side figure throughout what should have been a revised closure since the one in the tv series was easily brushed aside. That being said, i found that i could have just watched the end of the 3rd episode, and all of the 4th without missing much at all, but nevertheless, i did find episode 2 interesting. it's a good watch for sure

Quick Review: I didn't feel satisfied with ending of the first arc/season of Oreimo but these episodes felt like the much needed ending to that series which I enjoyed quite a lot. The episodes add some new content to the plot plus a true ending as well as the arrival of some new characters like the homo eroge lover Sena Akagi and a new relationship coming to light between to characters. In overall I felt this was the true ending to the first season of Oreimo and is a must see to anyone a fan of the show.

Do not read this review unless you've watched and completed the anime 'Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai'. Otherwise it will be usless to you. This "special" is actually the true arc that follows the Light Novel's original story, unlike the filler ending in episode 12 of the OreImo anime. It's comprised of 4 episodes so you could consider this as an extension of the first season. To be completely honest, it was a bit unsatisfying. I know that this arc stays true to the Novel but I was hoping for some development between Manami and Kyousuke. Saori is not given enough time yet again, so she's still in the "shallow character" zone and guess what - more martyrdom for Kyousuke. The only characters that were actually given a significant portion of the time were Kuroneko and a newcomer - Sena. Manami - a supporting character and clearly in the same boat as Sena priority wise, gets shafted and literally only makes 5-6 appearances throughout this arc. Why have the makers done something like this I have no idea but it definitely made this series inconsistent. On the other hand we see plenty of development between Kuroneko and Kyousuke, we see that their relationship is starting to grow and change. I'd go as far as to say that it's slowly developing into a romance but I did get that impression a lot earlier while watching the first season of OreImo. There was always a subtle romantic atmosphere surrounding those two. Kirino is absent for most of this arc (she left for america unlike in the filler ending where she decided to stay) so nothing to write on her; she does come back in episode 15 though. Nothing too dramatic. This arc doesn't really bring that much in terms of the story, even though a considerable amount of times passes in it; half a year if my memory serves me correctly. Basicaly it was just a way for the makers to get back on track, after the filler ending fiasco. I will be looking forward to the 2nd season.

Ah yes, nothing I love more than light novel adaptations with confusing watch orders caused by, presumably, executive meddling. We're asked to disregard episode 12, or rather to watch it again but this time slightly different. Without meticulously checking against databases like this to make sure you're watching the right version you're more than likely to find the episodes in some bizzarro order and be confused by this whole section of the anime adaptation. Save yourself some time maybe and just don't watch any of it, OreImo is trash to the core anyway and not worth troubling yourself over. It should only be handled by hardcore masochist weebs such as myself who'll watch anything the random number generator they use to decide what anime to watch next spits out (yes really.) It's not that I don't think there are things about this series that are funny conceptually, I just find the overarching tone of actual blood-related sibling incest to be incredibly distasteful. It's good for a meme, but not for actual digestion as a story. Any time something good or funny happens it's undermined when you remember what show you're watching. Not horrible to watch and certainly never boring, just something I can't in good conscious give very high marks to. So, 7/10

*Contain Spoiler* yup this anime is good, a good relationship between a brother (Kyousuke) and her sister (Kirino), in the start they didn't get along but one day suddenly Kyousuke found a erogame that her sister dropped by mistake and then he founds out about her Otaku hobbies that was the starting of their good relationship. then he even helps her to keep her hobbies as secret and when their parent found out about her he even convince their parents to let her keep this hobbies and even cover for her erogame :D Whenever she get in trouble he just tell her "Leave it to me" and then helps her in so many things like make new otaku friends whom she can speak about her hobbies, when her school friend found about her hobbies. and as they spent time together and he helps her he found out that her sister also has cute side. she hits her, kicks her but he still helps her in all way he can. than i really like the way they made 2 episode of 12th episode one as "good ending" and another "true route" but i really liked the "True Route" (last 4 ONA) in which she suddenly disappears one morning without telling him anything and went to America. after that Kyousuke started to feel lonely without her and one day when she messages her to throw her collection then kyousuke run to America to help her and bring her back. I really liked this Season of OreImo, and the attitude and behavior of her sister didn't bothered me bcz i have a sister who is just like Kirino really Pissed me off some time but when she come to me like "bro plz help in this" there is no way i can refuse to help her. Story : from starting to till end how they started to now each other, how their relationship changed over time i really liked this season's story. 9/10 Art : well i m giving Art full points bcz there are different illustration of OreImo in every single episode in the end and i really liked some of them. and as for the animation and art in anime yup they are really good. 10/10 Sound : now this is really something to make different ED songs for every episode. and i also liked OP of OreImo. 9/10 Character : hmm nothing to complain about the character well bcz as i told i have a sister and she is just like Kirino the only difference is she is not otaku XD and as for rest of the character i really like Kuroneko (Ruri Gokou), ahhhh she is so cute ♥♥♥ 9/10 Enjoyment : well there is no doubt about it that i really enjoyed this anime, so many events, happy times, sad times, fighting, making up, till the end "true route" really enjoyed this anime. 10/10 Overall : as for overall i m nothing much left to write in this part :p 9/10 now this was my feeling for season 1 but for season 2, are they fucking kidding me.......

I'll just go ahead and say it: the best thing about the "True Route" is, that Kirino is largely NOT in it. It's no secret I hate Kirino's character, which made watching the original series a veritable cringefest. Thankfully, this short alternative arc largely focuses on Kyousuke trying to deal with the absence of his sister and helping Ruri (Kuroneko) fit in as a freshman, find friends and get through some challenges. It also introduces a few new characters that add nicely to the story. While the original series was really strong on the social commentary and presenting the dark depths of the otaku lifestyle, these 4 episodes were much more focused on the characters and way more fun to watch. Yes, it's partially the absence of Kirino, but it also feels better for the tighter storytelling. It was great to finally see Kyousuke actually being rewarded for his kindness without some bitchy tsuntsun screaming and beating the crap outta him in every other scene. In the music department, OreImo was pretty strong to begin with, but the ending songs are really good here too. If possible, I'd like to see more of this. I much prefer this version to the "original" ending, since we can see way more character development and it helps putting the entire thing into perspective. At the time of this review. I haven't watched the second season yet, but if it's anything like these four episodes, I'm sure I'll have fun.
Huzzahtimelines
After watching the first season of OreImo I was mildly surprised. It wasn't completely mediocre as I had suspected, and the show definitely showed potential, although that potential was never really fulfilled. Will the continuation finally break out of it's own shell? Let's look at Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Specials. Story (6/10): The first thing I noticed when watching OreImo's Specials, is that the plot seemed to have calmed down a bit. As you can recall, the first season of OreImo had some pretty bizarre arcs in there, that degraded the shows character focused story. This time around the plot seems to have taken some chill pills, and has taken a more slice-of-life approach. Because of that, the story is actually better than the first season, giving the viewer nothing more than a nice little story that isn't too complicated. That's all I can say about it though. While the story is pleasant to watch, it isn't really trying anything special. There's some decent comedy in there, but it isn't nearly as funny as the first season. The drama, the little there is, doesn't really pack a punch. Art (7/10): I've complimented the artstyle in OreImo before for having a very nice looking colour palette with good looking character designs, and that hasn't changed. What I really liked about it though, were the wide variety of outfits that the characters were wearing, and sadly, that isn't the case here. This isn't really caused by a lack of effort, but more by the setting. High School students in Japan usually wear the same outfits in school, and with that, the variety is thrown out the window. It makes sense of course, but I am sad that such a good aspect of the show isn't shown in these specials. The animation is average, not really bringing anything unique to the table. But since it's a slice-of-life show, I can't really fault the show for it. It doesn't need to excel at animation. Sound (6/10): The soundtrack is pretty much the same as the previous installment. It fits with the scenes, but isn't really memorable. I have noticed an improvement in the voice acting department, especially on Kuroneko's part. The voice actress seems to be a lot more comfortable with her part this time around, and it is quite noticeable. Characters (7/10): It's an interesting turn of events for our characters, isn't it? Kirino is faffing about abroad, Kuroneko goes to the same High School as Kyousuke, and now they seem to be active in the computer club, adding a new character to the cast. So let's start off with Kyousuke. I've said before that Kyousuke was a good male lead, showing just the right amount of compassion that you would expect, but also having some unique quirks, and twists on his character that make him interesting, and he's no different here. He does have some development in the specials, which is nice to see, but it doesn't really seem like anything major. Kuroneko seems to be holding up quite well as the female lead this time around. The chemistry with Kyousuke might not be as funny as with Kirino, but she does present some sincere moments with him, that are entertaining to watch. She does shine at the end of the specials however, providing for some really good scenes. The new character, Sena, isn't really that good though. She seems to be more like a replacement for Kirino, being an otaku herself, although a bit different. Yes people, this is the yaoi fangirl of the show. Run while you still can. Saying that though, the yaoi aspect of her actually provides most of the laughs in the specials, when she starts ranting about her interests. Other than that though, she doesn't really bring anything interesting to the table. Overall (6/10): OreImo Specials is kind of an oddball. It seems to have removed a lot of the flaws the original show had, but seems to have negated a lot of it's really good aspects. So would I recommend it? To repeat myself, if you're not into the whole incest-thing, no. Otherwise, it bridges the gap between the previous season, and the next season, so it is essential to the overall plot. Therefore, if you're interested in watching the next season, it's essential you watch this first. "So anime characters don't automatically disintegrate when they leave Japan?"

This is the "true ending" to season 1. You are supposed to watch these 4 episodes, and then watch season 2. These 4 episodes generally focus more on kuroneko (and the akagi sister) character. Sister is mostly absent and I kinda liked how this series felt without her character. Kuroneko joins MC's school as a highschool student and as MC's junior. She has trouble fitting in and MC decides to help her out. This arc feels kinda different to the rest of season 1, because it very much becomes a harem series where troubled girls join the harem when MC helps them. Kuroneko is essentially the girl of the arc. I liked the comedy, while I hated the more serious parts. I especially loved the akagi sister character and her obsession with yaoi.

If you've seen Oreimo, you can probably extrapolate what you thought about S1 here. Broadly speaking, I thought Oreimo was funny and had a good cast and could be touching at times and I agree with that in these specials too. However, this is more Ore... The first episode is the ~true~ ending to S1 (which kind of hurts S1 in retrospect since now there's just a random episode there to hedge your bets that can now be discarded) and it was fine. I kinda skipped around since a lot of it is just repurposed from the end of S1 but I got the main jist of it. The second episode is where it starts cooking. If you are a Kuroneko fan, you will be eating good here. I like Kuroneko but she's probably my least favorite of the main girls? She's not bad but I never really got the spark between her and Kyousuke and this did not change over the course of these specials. The main thing I think makes these specials pop is the new character, Sena. I wouldn't mind if they brought her into the fold with Kirino and Kuroneko and Saori, she provides a new layer of imouto power to the series since Kuroneko is Big Sis and Saori Anyway, I thought she had the best joke in the specials, perhaps even the whole series up to this point, obviously I won't spoil it but yeah, I think she has her own niche which would fit in alongside the imouto pervert, chuuni dork, and... uh... whatever Saori watches? She was building a mech in one episode so I'm headcanoning her as a Gundam fan. Other than that, I appreciate that they do a little more with the game development club. Oreimo S1's novelist arc kinda lost me when Kirino went from legitimately terrible, unreadable garbage to published novelist in the same episode so seeing Kuroneko and Sena actually having to work together (to make something recognized as shit, no less) is actually such an improvement. The Imo finally comes back in the final episode and honestly, I kind of missed her presence in these specials, so it was nice to see. I think these specials heavily depend on two questions: 1. How much do you like Oreimo 2. How much do you like Kuroneko If you like Oreimo a lot, check it out. As someone who may or may not have accidentally watched a few episodes of Oreimo S2 before watching these specials, you're going to need it. If you like Kuroneko, definitely check it out. I'd imagine if you're reading a review for the SPECIALS of Oreimo, you should probably check this out unless you really don't like Kuroneko. Even if you don't like Oreimo because of Kirino specifically, Kirino isn't in this a whole lot so you can enjoy what Oreimo could be if Kirino was just Thanos snapped off the face of the planet.

This ONA just goes to show the side characters are way more interesting, fun, and funny to be around compared to the main characters. In this it revolves more around Kuroneko(Ruri) as is evident by the cover and follows the source material which then opens up for season 2 of the anime. If you plan on continuing this anime you will have to watch this to be able to understand season 2 before starting it anyways as it introduces different dynamics and characters that carry over. Overall, it was actually pretty funny and interesting for a change of pace from the original show. Could easily be a movie with the same structures it has towards the ending.

THIS PISSESSSSSSSS ME OOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF ruri and kyousuke had a pretty good thing going and IM GONNA MISS IT UGHHH. Maybe this is a call to play the VN because the female cast is suuper good. I really wanna see more of Saoriiiiiiiiiii. It would be a 10 but its only a 4 episode OVA and it was only really beating me up emotionally in the second half. good stuff. As always the music in the eds are fantastic you can tell so much effort was put into making this. The artstyle is super comfy too. For these kinds of stories, theres no need to overanalyse. All I know is, so far I've been smiling teeth to teeth throughout from all the WTF moments... Its been a pleasure~

Okay, in short, this is the true ending of the Oreimo anime, and there is no season 2 that continues the story beyond this point. Everything that happens here is meant to serve as the final conclusion of the anime adaptation, resolving the main conflicts and character relationships in its own way. Because of that, viewers should not expect any further animated continuation of the story. If you still want to explore more possibilities and alternative developments, you can continue the story by checking out Kuroneko’s route in the game, which offers a different perspective and deeper character exploration. Many fans also recommend watching these routes on YouTube if you don’t have access to the game. Additionally, these episodes are often considered some of the best episodes in the Oreimo series, as they deliver strong emotional impact, character growth, and a memorable ending for longtime fans.
