Well, at first sorry about my English and if there are any mistakes. Brave 10 is a ninja shounen anime about Sanada Yukimura and his ten heroes. I started to watch it becouse I like shounen, but I had not any big expectatives about it. When I watch the firsts episodies, I thought: -This is a fucking bishounen anime, man. -The story is pretty bad... -Why Isanami is so stupid? Etc. But I didn't drop it. Why? Well, I say to you: this anime is bad. But it's not boring. There are some bad animes that when you are watching and episode you are praying for the end. Not in Brave 10. That's a good point. Story: 4 The plot is simple and the development is very bad. All the anime Saizou is kicking asses with Isanami screaming "HELP ME SAIZOU!" and criying very loudly... While this they meet new characters that will be heroes too. That' s all. Art: 8 The animation is good, so the fighting scenes are decent. The style is good too, but it doesn' t feel like a shounen anime (is more a choose-your-bishie style xD). Sound: 7 The OST is good. It isn't a OST that I will listen in my MP4, but it is good to ambientation. The opening is fucking catching (xD). One of the better points of this anime is the seiyuus. There are a lot a famous seiyuus in this anime (Ono Daisuke, Kamiya Hiroshi, etc.) so if you want to listen your favourites seiyuus this anime is a mine. Character: 4 There are too many character for 12 episodies, and the most have no deep or development. I like Sanada Yukimura and Nezu Jinpachi, but there are very bad characters. For example, Isanami is the typical Mary Sue. I prefer to not talk about Kamanosuke. The only character that has a personality development is Saizou, but it' s a veeery typical development. Enjoyment: 7 As I' ve said, the enjoyment is good. I prefer the bad, simple animes that are not boring than bad, strange and stupid animes that pretend to be "deep" and they are only boring. Brave 10 is not a masterpiece, but at least is fun to see. Overall: 5 Brave 10 is a 4 anime, but I give it a 5 for the enjoyment. So, I don' t recomend this to you if you aren' t: -A fangirl. -A shounen/ninja anime super lover.

Obviously I loved the feudal Japan background. The fights are not stretched forever, usually 1 or 2 episodes max. These are necessary to advance the story. The plot is fairly predictable and shallow: faction conspiracies, good vs evil, resolving matters by fighting your way through, brotherhood, etc. The first episode is actually one of my favorite and I do believe the story should have followed a bit more its spirit. For instance, Saizou's skills and unwillingful attitude were worthwhile and promising but the feeling fades away as the story goes on and he gradually becomes next to useless. Basically, he's super strong against his comrades before they join in the Braves and also against the general cannon fodder type ninjas but that's another story with the enemy main characters. It's a pain when you see a main character show off so much for lesser results. I also understand that they needed to make time to introduce the other characters since the story goal was to revolve around 10 braves fighting together. They should have appeared way faster. For example, Jinpachi Nezu appears at episode 8 or 9 I believe.. wait! what? But there is only 4 episodes left! Story: 6 - Fair : it's pretty much what you expect from a ninja combat based anime. As described above, nothing more or less. The ending comes way too abruptly in my opinion. Its has if they wanted to get it done and go onto the next project. Art: 8 - Very Good: I liked the style, nothing epic. Enough said. Sound: 7 - Good: I enjoyed the opening, mostly skipped the ending. The overall BGM during specific events and encounters were adequate and matched the anime theme. Characters: 5 - Mediocre: I was expecting more, sadly didn't get it. The character development is typical and very basic. You will find some flashbacks about Saizou, Isanami, Anastasia, Miyoshiseikei to add extra understanding of the storyline. Enjoyment: 7 - Good: Even if the story and characters weren't flawless, I had a good time watching it. Overall: 7 - Good: It's definitely an anime to watch if you like combat-oriented storylines and a nice addition to the ninja theme. It's nothing epic but definitely entertaining. I would definitely watch it again if I eventually get bored and don't have anything better to do. Extra comments: I would have enjoyed seeing a serie of 25-26 episodes out of it. Simply to extend the story and introduce deeper content, elaborate on characters, get Saizou to finally kick those bad guys' ass properly, see Isanami get abusively destructive with her power and also to get a decent fight done between Kamanosuke the psychotic warmonger and Saizou. It would have contributed greatly to a longer and better ending.

Saizo is an assassin who runs into a young girl by the name of Isanami. Her bubbly personality along with her cute charm annoys him simply because he's always been under the impression protecting someone will weaken his fighting ability. She also annoys him by doing things like crawling in bed with him and tripping over things. This honestly would be considered an endearing part to Isanami's character if she were five to six years of age, but instead it becomes part of the annoyance that occurs to the watcher of this Anime because Isanami is actually a lot older then this, old enough to be in a romantic relationship with most of the male characters of Brave 10. On top of this Isanami is a Mary Sue. The easiest traits that can be found are the fact she has godlike powers and the fact everybody likes her and wants her including the enemies. On top of the fact she can't get on anyone's bad side, she also has no fatal flaws. She is shown to be clumsy, but that only crops up when it can land her in the guys arms. The Anime talks about how she's always causing trouble but in reality she isn't causing the trouble because of her actions, the trouble occurs because everybody wants her. She also angst horribly over how she is weak, but it is revealed early on in the series that she has the strongest power of anybody. Might I add the fact she is supposed to be naive about the world, but it comes across more along the lines of her being mentally handicapped. I doubt that is what the creator of her character intended. One of the reasons I stuck with the Anime is because despite the fact Isanami is so obnoxious most of the good guys from Brave 10 are actually interesting characters. The exception to the rule is the wind user. Despite the fact he is obnoxious, he at least isn't a Gary Stu. Despite the fact the other characters are interesting, their characterization and character development tends to fall apart when Isanami is around. Which adds to another Mary Sue trait about her, the fact none of the main good guys don' always act like themselves around her. Moving onto the art work, I have to say the art work in Brave 10 is horrible. The character designs are clumsy and chunky in places most of the characters shouldn't be chunky. The movement of the characters lacks any dynamic and is stiff. As for the elemental powers that the braves use, they don't really mimic well the traits that go with their elements and they look unrealistic. This I think extends to the bad buys. Some people might say right about here, but the art work is beautifully designed and the costumes are elaborate. Unfortunately, about half way through the show, I realized that the reason all the outfits were intricately designed is to actually hide the flaws in the character design. And might I add that some of the flaws are glaring. I remember one scene where Benmaru is a head taller then he should be. The sound is also something that is very beautiful. However, the music doesn't match the storyline of the Anime at all, which ruins the wonderful opening and closing scenes. Actually, these scenes also have the best animation. The sad thing about Brave 10 was I had high expectations of the show and expected to enjoy a nice historical fantasy. Instead I ended up with a bunch of pretty boy wish fulfillment and the reasons I enjoyed the Anime wasn't because it was amazing. It was because it was so badly done, it was laughable.

The first half of the show was very sweet, enjoyable and promising. It was surprisingly romantic and I very much enjoyed the chemistry between the two leads. In the show's second half, more and more supporting characters got crowded in, the main couple's focus became fuzzy and the story started to drift around and lose its purpose and became less interesting. Looking back on the show as a whole there was a story they wanted to convey and I can understand it and its emotional core, but it's too bad the later episodes weren't written as well as the foremost. I love the main couple's art and design, animation started out good bet went downhill later.

I haven't written all that many reviews before, so I will make this short and simple. Feudal Japan, assassins and ninja's all over the place, nothing groundbreaking there. Ninja meets random girl, girl ask for protection. They meet other assassins and ninja's along the way, things happening, people fight(obviously). The story itself seemed to have some potential throughout the first episode at least, but then I just felt like everything was going downhill. Personally, I don't feel like the creators put much work into the story at all, as everything feels like something they had to rush through in order to make it into the 12 episodes now available. Art: It's a style I don't really mind, it's smooth and well made. Sound: same. As long as you find a decent version either online or through fansubs, the audio is quite good. Characters: now, I just wanna say that random is random. The main leads had something to offer, or at least I felt like they had at first. If you are a fan of a group of "originals" gathering, each who feel like they almost radiate stupidity, then this is most likely something you would enjoy. Enjoyment: I finished this series in 2 days, just so I could be done with it. I don't like skipping a series unless it is really, really bad, and this wasn't the worst I've seen. The plot had potential, the characters looked interesting, and every episode keeps you on a cliffhanger until the next episode, making you wanna see what happens next. Even so, the whole concept is something we've all seen so many times before. Hidden powers, betrayal, and OP villains, you've all been there. Overall: I found it to be a "ok" show. There was nothing extraordinary about it which made it stand out. I do hope for a 2nd season however, in hope for some character development etc.

Brave 10 is a decent anime. PROS: - Outstanding storyline: I don't know about you, but, to me, the story of a merciless ninja who escorts a priestess who has a rune that can annihilate anything around feudal Japan is awesome. The story is one of the main factors that kept me watching the anime; - Great art: Personally, I consider the art can decide whether an anime is great or not. Fortunately, the art of this anime is great; - Exciting action scenes: Looking for a action-filled anime? Brave 10 is for you! There is at least one tense fight or chasing scene in each episode that is guaranteed to keep you watching. The even better part is that the gore is not exaggerated, so you can say the fights are somewhat realistic. Now, let's pass to the more unfortunate parts of the anime: CONS: - Poor character development: Except the main characters, you don't really get much back-story for the characters. Not only that, some of the characters have poorly-developed personalities that I cringed in pain when saw them. This is kind of unfortunate, since a decent character development could have made the anime much better; - Rushed story: With only 12 episodes, you can tell that the story is kind of rushed. The action happens really fast, and you don't even have the time to process all the action happening that the characters already did something else important in the storyline. This is another unfortunate part of the anime that could have made it much better; - Crappy jokes: The anime has a few comedy scenes, and even those few comedy scenes were bad because of the character development. But, this is not really that big of a con, since the comedy scenes are 1-2 minutes long, and if you can "go with the flow", then you won't have any problem. RATING: 7.5 OVERALL: Brave 10 is a decent anime. If you are looking for a great story, for good battle scenes and for good art, then you can watch this anime. If you can pass over the lack of storyline and the rushed story, then this is actually quite a good anime.

Brave 10 is just one of those anime that I feel has great potential, but it's sadly wasted. The story revolves around our main protagonist and the useless girl he saves from danger. The girl is some sort of priestess that possesses great power, but it is only hinted at the entire time, and finally revealed in the most anticlimactic scene at the end of the show. The whole point is that whoever controls this power controls the world, so you already know that people will come after her, so to protect her, 10 "brave" warriors that represent the elements have to be found and persuaded to form a team. The characters aren't anything special, each one has a specific skill and they all vary in shape and size. The only interesting character is the protagonist, which receives almost no character development. Same goes for every other character. The soundtrack is nothing special, not horrible, but you won't remember it. Voice acting is fine, but it is also not memorable. In the end this anime has so many flaws that it really takes you away from it. Story is boring, characters are boring, and the main "antagonist team" was only introduced in the final episodes, so they just came out of nowhere, join that with the most anticlimactic transformation/reveal and the forced romance and you are left with a pretty crappy anime

When I read the reviews here on MAL I pretty much skipped this anime. But after watching some samurai anime and began craving some completed anime with action, I had nowhere else to turn to except Brave 10 and man, it was my saving grace! Brave 10 is ENTERTAINING! I believe thats what the creators intended and thats what was delivered. Just some good ol' entertainment. It was like being able to sit back on a saturday morning as a kid to watch a favorite cartoon marathon on cartoonnetwork while eating english breakfast or something. Story. The story is a mix of same old (i.e if you've watched a lot of anime) with new or intelligent delivery. Strong samurai meets priestess being chased and saves her from her pursuers. Priestess then grows attached to him and decides to stick to him for protection. But its just delivered to the audience in an interesting way that you'll probably watch the series to the end. The one problem I had with this anime is that it was a bit rushed to an annoying point but not too annoying. As the story progresses you'll definitely notice that they tried to cram a lot of stuff into some episodes. I guess its because its a 12 episode anime but they really should have made it longer so things progressed more naturally. Art. The art was great! Nothing new though but certainly not bad. Where the art really shone was in the cool battles. Sound. Nothing memorable but no complaints there. Character. Characters are same old too if you've ever watched a similar type historical anime but they're still interesting and entertaining. I guess if the formula still works there's no need to change it right? But personally I found the priestess a bit annoying though. Enjoyment. I was entertained and so Im thankful to the creators for making this anime. My overall score for this anime is an 8. Hope you give it a try and thanks for reading! :]

So I just yesterday finished watching Brave10 and my expectations were really high but did this anime were that good? Story: It's a story about old samurai named Saizou he's samurai that don't want to serve any lords and want to just live own way. One day old guy named Yukimura offers deal that is Saizou would protect him and would be accompanying him in travels. There is also mysterious girl who is important to many people. This story is really interesting and it also tells some old interesting facts about samurai's. So story gets 9/10 Art: It was really great kind of samurai type art. But weapons were designed really well and special attacks were awesome. Places looked really historically old and it seemed to fit in anime. Animation was also really good and battle scenes were great. Art gets 10/10 Sound: Anime OP song was really good and it starts first in slow and then quickly change speed. Kind of interesting way they went in this opening. ED song is also really good. It fast phased song and promo pics in ending are fit in right places in OP if I should say which one would be better I would say Ending song. Then again voices in this anime are really unique like sword battle music and enemy appearing themes are really put in good places in anime. Then again it seemed anime did not have so many music themes and they played OP and ED theme. Music is 9/10 Characters: There are too many characters to speak about in this anime. But I am going to speak about Saizou and Yukimura. Saizou: He seemed really not care stuff liking guy first but Saizou is really getting developed in last episodes of anime. Saizou really doesn't care about women or sake but always irritating others to fight. Yukimura: He is very funny old man he doesn't really like to fight with others and he hates dark powers but he really doesn’t want anyone to get the power for themselves. Yukimura also like to dance with opponents and he would dance them than fight them. Character's gets 10/10 Enjoyment: I really enjoyed every scene in this anime an there was no boring scene at all which was really suprising. One of the scenes definitely were funny was this other guy who challenged Yukimura to fight with him and Yukimura fight without his sword and finally fall ground and with his one hand throws a this guy's sword in the air. Since this were enjoyable anime it gets 10/10 Overall: Samurai stylish anime with humor and some cool fights in it great scenes and emotions packed with a lot of history explanations. This anime really deliver inexperienced samurai experience to viewers and it does it one of the unique ways. This is really one of the best Samurai anime there is now and I hope to see great series like this one. My Overall score for this awesome anime is 10/10

If you're not liking this thing two episodes in, give it up. I say that about everything I review, but it really applies. The quality of this show is pretty consistent throughout. That goes both for how well it is made, and for the general feel of it. Either you like it or you don't. I liked it enough to finish the whole thing. Some parts annoyed me. Much of it reminds me of older shows. In the end, I'd say it was worth seeing once.

I am not afraid to say that I really liked this series even though i could literally point out things that are wrong with it all day long. It's strange when you find an anime that is lacking in the most important areas but you still enjoy it regardless. That would be Brave 10 in a nutshell. The story is too short and underdeveloped. The artwork is good but it is nothing special. The sound wasn't bad but there was nothing special about it either. Even most of the characters were underdeveloped. Thankfully a couple main characters were developed pretty well, and with a good mix of light comedy and decent action this really somehow worked in a weird sort of way. The characters were drowning in anime stereotypes, but the voice acting and the chemistry between the group were fun to follow. Scenes were rushed and dialogue was lacking, but it didn't bother me at all. I was entertained through all 12 episodes. That's all you can ever really hope for when dedicating time to a series. That all aside, you can tell that this should have been great, but it was just good. Thankfully it's based on a manga series, so this anime has done it's job with me since I'll be reading that next. If you don't care about story (there is one, and it is just simply ok), and you want to see something that's a little fun, then this is worth a look. It is not a masterpiece by any means, but it's entertaining.

I was honestly excited when reading about this feudal-timed Anime, hoping it would star many of those Sengoku Heroes that are often praised in games like Samurai Warriors. Unfortunately in the kind you see in Brave 10, it doesnt do a very good job. Hello, My Name is Ryoki and Welcome to my review of the Anime Brave 10. The review contains spoilers. If you dont like spoilers at all, please scroll away. The scenery is settled in feudal japan, those of you who play or remember playing samurai warriors may be a little bit more familiar with this times. The anime practically throws you into an burning temple where you see a blue haired woman and a priest escape, then as they were stopped and attacked by the enemy - the priest then lets her escape once more through a trapdoor. This was a little bit confusing to myself as i had at least expected an considerable intro. But nonetheless the scene jumps further where you face our main male lead , Saizou Kirigakure. He is suprised by seeing the woman in the woods and doesnt want to protect her, yet still does it when facing immediate danger, which is her pursuers. The girl insist him to go with her to the nearby Ueda Castle , where the famous Yukimura Sanada should live. Later then she tells him her Name, which would be Isanami and tells him nothing before their journey goes on to Ueda Castle. Once there, Yukimura decides to make them believe that he isnt interested in protecting them and when they were attacked at the way back - a mysterious orb began to expand from the girls' head. Yukimura sees the potential and decides to let them stay. As I already said Saizou Kirigakure is our male lead , he is a young shinobi that is mostly known for his cold attitude and also because he refuses to serve anyone. You dont get to know much more about him as the anime tries to cramp in as much as it can from the manga. Isanami on the other hand is our typical Damsel in Distress, sad/happy female lead. She is a priestess that lived in Izumo before a certain group of ninjas attacked and slaughtered everyone besides her. The twist with her is that she is the reincarnation of the death goddess and is only held back by her hairpin that was blessed by the gods. She pretty much is a big key point during the whole anime as they try to protect her from being taken away and to make her happy as strangely the trigger to summoning the darkness is - for her to be sad. This is something that you might like or not, that is to be left with you. Also if you dont like obvious stereotypical character, then this anime is definetly not for you. There is no clever packed in twist and you will be able to distinguish them from a mile away like ; ,,That's the bad guy!'' ,,That's the clumsy but too earnest guy.'' ,, That's the blood hungry guy.'' The artstyle is quite good, nothing that would be overestimatingly awesome, but the animation is fitting and sometimes, especially hard with a dancing scene for example (compare Isanamis graceful dance with the cg robot in blade and soul animation, it is quite opionated which one would fit better i think.) The fighting scenes are also very plain animated, dont understand me wrong - it is certainly well done but also here not exceptional. Unfortunately the sound cant keep much up as well, i have the opinion that if a fight comes up , you really have to feal tension - you have to feel epicness, you have to feel tension - that doesnt mean it has to be rock or a certain kind of genre - but something that keeps the viewers atention on the moves. Unfortunately the op, is something that I wouldnt recommend anyone, maybe fitting to ninja movies but it sounds very annoying to me. Now then based on my personal opinion on story, arstyle, sound and characters and naturall also enjoyment - i issue Brave 10 a : 6 Stream it, if you want to explore this certain universe. At the moment of this review Brave 10 wasn't yet licensed and thus isn't dubbed into english yet. So you will have to deal with subbed episodes. I hope this review could help you deciding if you want to take a look at Brave 10. See you next time.

Pleasant But Forgettable....... Brave 10 is a somewhat comedial interpretation of the historical Sanada Ten Braves folklore. It’s not a bad anime but it’s definitely not exceptional or great for that matter. While Brave 10 might never be considered a classic, it will still manage to entertain and please the anime viewer. Story: There’s not really much to say about the story because the story of Brave 10 is weak and follows more or less in the same footsteps of many other similar anime, rarely displaying any form of originality. It follows the typical cliché character archetypes one would expect from a shounen anime and never attempts to keep viewers inclined to watch. The story has acceptable progression and can easily be understood and followed but offers nothing different or anything astonishing. Animation: This is one of the rather better aspects of Brave 10. The colors are vibrant and do an excellent job of bringing life to the anime. The colors are soft, light on the eyes and never has too much detail. The art direction is also somewhat acceptable. Characters are well designed and fit excellently to the humorous tone of the anime. The areas are also pleasing to look at. The action set pieces can seem a bit bland at times but the sequencing itself is excellent and easy to follow. Sound: The soundtrack fits the anime well but never tries to elevate it, making it quite forgettable. Seriously, you’ll probably never remember Brave 10’s soundtrack. The voices are done well but then again that’s something we’ve come to expect from an anime. Character: This is Brave 10’s biggest problem. There are too many characters that feel as if they weren’t fleshed out enough and some feel as if they were given more development than others. The characters that were given more development are surprisingly developed quite well. The problem is that a 12 episode anime is nowhere long enough to allow acceptable development for so many characters. Enjoyment: Regardless of its flaws, Brave 10 will probably be enjoyed by many viewers. I found it at times enjoyable but it never possessed that “wow” factor. It’s best to watch this anime with zero expectations to prevent a feeling of disappointment Encode: Excellent encode. Rarely saw any pixelation. To Sum Up Ups: Nice vibrant colors that fit the anime’s tone, interesting fighting sequences, acceptable story progression, easy anime to follow, character development is good when it’s there. Downs: Cliché story, bland set pieces, forgettable soundtrack, character development leaves much to be desired Final Words: Brave 10 isn’t a bad anime but it will never be considered great either. Mixing so many different things into a shounen anime was a good idea but the execution of that idea was its failure.

Brave 10 is based on a manga which is loosely based on the Sengoku period. One of the various fables of that era was the Sanada Ten, a team of powerful warriors who were formed by Sanada Yukimura in his efforts to rule supreme. The premise is the formation of the team and is shown primarily through the eyes of Saizo. I can’t say the setting and the premise are that interesting. They are in fact quite basic so far and there have been several other stories based on the same period and people. The most famous example is Naruto but the relations don’t go further than some names as well as both shows being equally gay. Samurai Deeper Kyo (SDK) is another case, this one even centered on the exact same events and characters. The anime adaptation sucked ass but the manga was amazingly GAR to the most part. So after some years I am seeing another take on the same era. I start by checking out the people who made it and I get nothing but bad signs. Studio TMS never produced an above average work (its best attempts were Hundred Stories, Kenichi, and D.Gray-Man). And the director, Sayama Kiyoko (female) is not shown to be very talented based on her roster (her best works are Vampire Knight and Skip Beat). So just imagine what happens when they give an action show about macho ninjas to be directed by a woman who is good only at girly romances. Exactly, she turns everyone to handsome homos. Let’s move to the actual show. Maybe it won’t be that bad despite being made by amateurs. And no, just from the opening I already know it will be far less basic and interesting than dear old SDK. The intro song is nothing but a cameo parade of all the characters and their special abilities. Seriously, where is the interest in watching the show if you already know what they all do? And come on, is this show so shallow that they had nothing else to show other than a parade? Fail. Maybe the intro is bad and the plot is deeper (no relation to Kyo) than that. And nope, in just three minutes the story barely begins and WHAM we are already shown how the protagonist is uber powerful and the lead female is useless and in constant need of his help (it wasn’t like that with Kyo). So he comes here, he goes there, and he meets lots of weird guys he has to fight. Expected. Ok, maybe the action parts will be good. And boy, could it be any worse than that? Not because of the actual battles, which are ok as far as special attacks and supernatural martial arts goes but because of the bad choreography. The transition from one scene to another is completely random and anything could happen just because the scriptwriter said so and not because it followed some sort of actual strategy. They can be fighting for half an hour just to protect or kidnap Miss Pacifism (her name is not important because she is female in a male-oriented show, so I will be using nicknames). without any luck, and then a simple guy can just waltz in, grab her under their very noses, and move calmly away while they are spacing out. You also barely see the fighters move; they use the typical frozen images with a few simple visual effects to make you think they move. Adding to that the background music which is usually a random tune playing in the background and the directing which is completely lazy. Stuff blow up and people get killed and you feel absolutely nothing compared to, let’s say, Rurouni Kenshin or Advent Children . Meaning, the aesthetics are completely basic to the point of not caring to look at the screen. Let’s move to the characters. For starters they all feel like filler characters from Naruto, which is bad because Naruto is gay, fillers suck, and a cast should feel special and not a rehash of a now decadent shounen. So what do we have here? Ah yes, Saizo, the protagonist who is repulsive right away for being constantly bored with his life. I mean, seriously, the only thing he is doing when not fighting is sleeping or running away scared from girls. How is he supposed to be macho if he can’t stand a few boobs? He must be gay (thus this really is like Naruto). And is this a manly samurai action series or a shitty harem? It sure doesn’t feel like the first if it has such a wuss main hero. If it was, he should have been constantly horny, molesting and raping anything that catches his eye (that is, everything), just like all normal men did in the good old chauvinistic feudal times. Kyo from SDK was one of them. But then again this is not really a manly show about gar super samurai from the actual Sengoku era but a lukewarm show with poser idiots who loosely plagiarize historical events, and who are hardly as cool as Kyo or the original historical Sanada were. If the animators didn’t want to show rape or something that immoral, they could just make him not care in the least, like in the case of Katanagatari. The chemistry between Shichika and Togame was very unorthodox and thus memorable, but here it is totally boooring because it feels like yet another show aimed at boys whose balls haven’t drop yet. I mean he is already bored out of his mind, so why is not being bored of girls that hard to think of? Because it wouldn’t be funny? IT WOULD BE FIFTY TIMES FUNNIER; HAREM LEADS ARE THE ONES WHO ARE NOT FUNNY AT ALL ANYMORE! Furthermore, are all these warrior dudes supposed to be manly, talking big in the middle of the fight while doing all sorts of acrobats and magician tricks? Well if they are so powerful then why were they both owned when Miss Useless just gets fed up and just intervenes? She is all “Stop fighting, hurting people is bad hurr durr” attitude and I just want to slash her in half just for that. This is an action show you stupid bitch, take your pacifism elsewhere. But then again she can do anything she likes because she is Miss Sunshine and the rest are a bunch of idiots who can’t just say “Shut up you broad, you only exist so you’ll be kidnapped every half an hour and we are the ones busting out butts trying to save you every time. We are the strong ones here so close that trap of yours and let us do what we know best.” But they never do that and instead constantly try to protect Miss Kidnap Target Practice. So you never consider them to be that strong, or dedicated to their cause, or even good at what they are doing. Seriously, they are pathetic in their job since they always get ambushed in the most simple and obvious way possible. What kind of elite ninjas get ambushed twice a day? Even a baby can fool these idiots. And it’s not like they do a smart comeback to win every time they fall for it. No sir, it always gets resulted with some random super attack they had in store but never use from the very start even if it has no set back. Hell, even Miss Molest-Me-Now has her own superpower, which works anytime the scriptwriter feels like it and not every time she or Saizo are in danger. You can’t even like the characters for their looks, since they all look like whores and gigolos. Seriously, they are all supposed to be sexy and with cool clothes, and then a baby appears and lures them to a trap without even trying. So much for character appeal. Especially for Miss Braindead, who gets completely fascinated with Saizo, although he constantly ignores her and runs away. HOW STUPID IS SHE? The directing is terrible even in non-action scenes. The way everything works in this show is making your I.Q. drop to that of a lizard. Everybody is constantly unable to see someone standing exactly next to him, just because he was out of screen or wasn’t talking. But when the scriptwriter feels like it, he can jump in-screen to do or say something and everybody is acting all surprised. WOW, WHERE DID HE COME FROM? He was standing right next to you, you idiots. And then it’s the whole lousy way they have to try to make things more exciting. There is this scene where that stupid bimbo is completely scared of snakes and points at the place the snake is. So for reasons unexplained she also comes along with that wuss …

This is a bad anime, but enjoyable nonetheless. The story, although mixed with a lot of history, is very poor. The first episode was nice, but then Saizou changed. There were one or two characters I liked. Honestly I expected much more action and good fight sequences. But it seemed as if the fights were mediocre and were there just to help move the story along. A tad too much of twists, with the plot already being convoluted as it is. The animation was good though, and was quite colourful. The climax was meh and the ending was weak and confusing as well. If you're going for story along, I'd say don't. But if you just want an enjoyable anime with some funny moments, this is fine.

STORY: Brave 10 is too concerned with looking cool than telling a decent story. I understand this is derived from a manga franchise, but as a standalone, it's lacking. First, I don't understand any of the characters because they are so flat. Saizou is the typical angsty, loner archetype while Isanami is the perky, clingy priestess girl. Cool. Let's actually build on that and not leave them flatter than a steamrolled pancake. I will give some slack because it’s probably hard to convey characters well in twelve episodes. I did like the actual significance of the Brave 10 a lot. It would have been too easy to assign cliché roles to the characters. Ah, but darkness is not who you think it is. *wink* CHARACTERS: The way this show goes about introducing characters leaves a lot to be desired. Saizou is an ex-ninja who is afraid to fight for someone. The ninja world has left him jaded so he’s something like a ronin. He was okay but not much else than “cool” and a bit hotheaded. Isanami is bland, very bland. She’s like a shoujo lead because she gets kidnapped a lot, loves the first boy she sees, and wishes her breast were bigger. For some reason, even though there is no real development, I like her and Saizou together. Sometimes, I like cliché love. Still, I never felt a sense of urgency for her troubles. Yukimura, I did not really get. There’s more to him than what meets the eyes, but I just did not really care. He’s a great leader, fighter, and all-around funny guy. Benmaru is a grating brat. Take your firebombs and go home, kid! Anatasia, who is super busty strictly for fanservice reasons, is one of the most interesting characters. Her backstory is over-the-top, but she was somewhat cool. Kamanosuke is annoying but very much wants to be loved. I liked Sasuke a lot. He is shy, a forest boy, and an animal lover. Jinpachi, I know too little about. He likes alcohol and women, and he’s got some nice dreads. Pretty handsome for a pirate! ART: The animation is so fluid that there aren't any wacky in-between shots. The fight scenes are cool but uncomfortably short and erratic. I find myself asking “why is this person fighting that person?” The characters’ designs are not to my liking, but the art style is great. I wish some of the color schemes were more imaginative. I think the characters could have undergone one more draft to fine-tune the designs. Still, I'm not complaining because I like Brave 10's art. SOUND: Isanami's voice is annoying. The End. OVERALL: Did I like watching this show? Yeah, I did! But I had some disappointment such as how anticlimactic the final showdown was. I wasn’t familiar with Brave 10 before this, so that might have left me a bit biased. If you can put up with “SAIZOU!” an infinite amount of times, and a story focused more on visuals than plot, then this show is for you!

Another series concerning the edo era of Japan with notable historical figures like Tokugawa, Masamune, Yukimura, Mitsunari, and so on... It is hard to follow though when you are used to the story from sengoku basara but I just followed its story line as episode go by. The fight scenes are ninja type unlike Basara and not much of the lords clash with each other. Subordinates! FIGHT-O! One thing why I didnt give the story a larger rate is due to the ending. It feels like they were in a hurry and cramped it all on the last episode plus that the main character had all the sole epic role of saving the world. Maybe cause I expected that it will be a team work type...but the other protagonist also did well, just saying.. haha.. In a way,it feels like it ended like soul eater to me. the series ended after one main catastrophic event and just return to the normal usual days. P.S. I havent read the manga P.S.S. Masamune doesnt go "ARE YOU READY GUYS?!! LET'S PARTY!!" XD

Story is set in feudal japan where everyone carries swords and is a ninja/samurai...or trying to be one...or is the lord who controls them. (I am trying to describe this anime without any spoilers) Its funny, superficial but for a short series it is good enough esp since most of the episode time is spent in fights( again short in duration but entertaining none-the-less) The characters are just outlined.. you mostly dont understand their actions/or their motivations. Shallow characters with comic potential. Everyone wants to obtain the power Isnami possess...and you want to ask her..why are you so stupid? and also Love at first sight?!...really??!!*face-palms* Overall I rather enjoyed the anime and watched all the episodes in one weekend.

Now, a certain group of fans really dislike how this anime is set in the same era [although Naruto is not set in the Sengoku era] and same genre as Naruto[ninja], but really, that is stupid reason to dislike this anime. Especially if you have not seen it yet. At first I was not sure if this anime was worth my time because of the negative reviews, but it seemed interesting and I thought it would good so I gave it a go. The animation is good and the characters are one of the best things about the anime. Sure it has ninjas, samurais, assassins and the "substitute jutsu" in it, but it should not be a reason to compare Naruto with this Anime. Those are not something that are uniquely created but rather some ancient myth in Japan. So overall, yes, this anime is worth a try. If you want something unique then this anime might not be for you, but then, good luck on finding an 'unique anime'...

This anime has recivied reviews rating in all numbers. Here is what I think to be the better review to explain this. Before i get into the rating please remember this is a 12 episode anime. Story 6 Story isn't bad, it actually is quite interesting. Nothing new but not overused. It would recive a migh higher mark if it wasen't 12 episodes long. They were trying for something great and interesting but did not have the time leaving great build up with the worst kind of ending. The kind that dosen't end. Leaving the ending aside it is very fun to watch Art. 8 Beautful art and Beautful blood not unique but still interesting. enough said Sound 3 Hardly any sound i think there is some at points but unlike other anime you hardly notcie it. Character 4 If it was longer we may have more interesting characters but we didn't. The main character might be memerable to you as a pessimist bad ass. or maybe the female lead who is a comeplte annoyance. The only character who was memerable was the reverse trap who loved blood. sadistic and very amuseing. I paid more attention to him the most for his/her/it's orginality Enjoyment 9 The 9 is based on the fact i am not includeing the final episode. other then the final horrable episode it is quite enjoyable and a good watch while waiting for the other anime episodes to come out. Final verdict 6 There is better and worse out there but this is just something to watch when you can't think of anything. just don't comapre it to other anime because remember it is short. Sorry for spelling errors
