I don't know why MAL does it to us, introduce an entry so hard to find that you might instead dedicate your research time to solving world hunger (and probably would come up with positive results) and leave you there for months, sometimes years looking for a place to watch it with no hope. However, the satisfaction that follows finally marking something “completed” keeps you being for this guilty pleasure low form of torture. On a personal note, the poster assigned to this short does not do this animation justice, it gives off the vibes of some generic PS2 low-budget movie which isn't necessarily far from the truth, however, the unique One Piece atmosphere fills every nanometer of the presented environment. The classic One Piece humor all over the place, the crazy over the top cartoonish designs, and the throwaway side plot that only serves as a presentaétion device for the whole magical adventure.

ok, for a short little animation like this, it wasn't that bad. It revolves around the strawhats being attacked by marines and going through some weird coral thing with layers and traps, from arrows to baseball marines (LAWL) they have it all. it introduced some cool concepts as well as characters (mainly the marine's and the baseball marines) it was somewhat enjoyable to watch, I didn't enjoy it because its 3d, and has god awful animation and camera movement. The animation is like runescape LOL overall i would rate this a 7 only because I enjoy watching these random ass entry's. But yea, the anamation sucks booty.

Hmm, it’s actually pretty fun, I have to admit. This episode is a very simple short, but it manages to be quite entertaining given what it sets out to do. It features the same 3D animation style seen in some One Piece games; because of that visual familiarity, I didn't feel the awkwardness I usually experience when seeing anime characters translated into full 3D animation. In fact, I thought the visuals worked well here, especially since they suited the short's more cartoonish and exaggerated nature. The story is basically the Straw Hats trying to escape a Marine tower that is out to capture them. There isn't much more to it than that, but honestly, there didn't need to be. It’s a simple setup designed to throw the characters into a chase sequence full of frantic running, mishaps, and a few gags. I found it fun precisely because it captures the classic spirit of pre-timeskip One Piece, back when the Straw Hats would frequently find themselves in absurd situations and have to run away from trouble. Since the short focuses so heavily on that dynamic, the characters work well. Each one gets their moment to shine, and their traits are used straightforwardly to create comedic situations. There’s no attempt at character development or revealing anything significant about them, but that’s not an issue, as the clear intention is simply to provide a few minutes of entertainment. The animation also pleasantly surprised me. Even though it’s a 3D production that obviously lacks the visual style of the traditional anime, I felt the expressions and movements matched the work's exaggerated tone. Some scenes feature really fun movement that helps sell the jokes. It’s simple, but it works. Another interesting detail was the use, at certain moments, of something very reminiscent of "toon force." It is clearly used as a gag, and given the absurd context of the situation, it doesn't come across as something meant to be taken seriously, though I found it interesting to look back on. It’s amusing to think about how One Piece would later make much more prominent use of this kind of cartoonish logic in its own scenes. Here, obviously, it’s just a visual joke, but it’s still an intriguing detail. Overall, I don’t have many complaints. It’s a simple short with a story that doesn’t add anything to the main work, nor does it need to. It functions as a bite-sized Straw Hat adventure; the animation is solid, there are some funny moments, and it successfully captures that lighter, chaotic One Piece energy. It isn’t essential viewing, and I certainly wouldn’t prioritize it for someone looking only to follow the main storyline, but for fans of the crew who want some casual extra content, it’s worth a watch. It’s short, fun, and flies by quickly. Ultimately, it’s exactly the kind of extra I wish I came across more often: it doesn’t try to be more important than it is and simply delivers a few minutes of fun. Rating: 6/10. A animação também me surpreendeu positivamente. Nota: 6/10.

Watched after One Piece 3D: Straw Hat Chase Did not expect this to be the return of the Kung Fu Dugongs but I am here for it, very similar with my last watch in how it would have been so much better if I could have watched it in 3D. This short film is only 10 minutes and uses way more 3D techniques which makes the film very cramped. It was difficult to find out what this was made for but it leads towards a similar kind of roller coaster as a promotional material for it rather than just a random short film. The film was fun and easy to watch but still ugly art and lack of story (which is fair considering One Piece taking 50 eps to make a short story rather than the 10 minutes that they had for this).
