Well i should say this one's kind of Underrated. The story is somewhat simmiler to Strike the Blood. But not as cringe. Here's what i like about it. Animation:7/10 Story: Pretty Rushed. Alot of missing pieces. 5/10 Action:7/10 Harem:9/10. (I really like the main girl) Ecchi:It has ecchi but not that lewd way. Main character: Clueless typical. Rommance:8.5/10 Comedy: Not that funny. So yeah if you're interested in rommance, harem and echhi watch. (I thought it was a rommance Anime from the YouTube shorts. It is but the main focus is on action and story(it sucks). They kind of mash old story to make new one)

Campione!: Matsurowanu Kamigami to Kamigoroshi no Maou. All Right, as a Master weeb hundred Animes watched, i must say it was really enjoable. It bears the regular anime, ecchi, harem features, but gives it a new coat - wich i like. The story is ofcourse a Shounen type anime story, given 1 thicc boi who gets lots of powaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa by un or known force. This story featuer gods, godesses, in a really good way. The fact that was in the anime about gods, their origin is true, historically accurare - in an enjoyable way. The action is well developed, and even romance is placed in it. Neat! Art is pretty good suits the anime well, the explosions sometimes shabby, but the character designs were really hit the spot. The action was well animated too. Forexaple the Swords. Sound is great, the explosions had depth in it, the soft moans were a light hit for my ears and made my day. Charasters, every one of them are good. Especially Athena, #Waifud. Enyojment? over the roof watch it if you enjoy a well written and nicely storied anime. Overall a high tier anime. Better than some, nowday made trashes.

THE STAFF - Animated by Diomedea, a studio that makes only shitty ecchi anime. - Directed by Kusakawa Keizou, the guy who also did Lyrical Nanoha, a franchise most watch for the fan service. - Based on a light novel, which means a dumb story. There you go, just from the get-go you already know it will be a dumb story full of ecchi that you will be watching for the fan service. SPECIFICS The excuse of the story finds a high school with a grimoire that gives him superpowers after he meets a magical sword-wielding tsundere. And as you can already guess with one sentence alone, this is yet another Shana-clone show. They just try to flavour it a bit by making it begin in Italy, where a huge monster that is supposed to be a god or something is trashing everything. And that is as far as they go. The plot is one big mess, as everything feels like it was written by a 5 year old kid. Just a few minutes after it begins you get ridiculous scenes of complete randomness. Our archetypical hero meets a tsundere exactly when the monster attacks (it wasn’t scheduled), is told by another kid that he has amazing willpower and resolve when he showed absolutely nothing, and grabs the tsundere as she falls down by randomly appearing on a balcony when he was on the street two seconds earlier. And I love how a gigantic monster trashed a seemingly empty city, while seconds before the attack there were people everywhere. After the attack, we get even more Shana rip offs, by seeing the girl using a fiery sword and magically fixing everything that was trashed back to its original state. Great way to maintain the status quo and rendering all conflicts meaningless if there are no repercussions. Then the tsundere offers a long explanatory monologue so we will know what exactly is going on here. Of course in-story there was absolutely no reason to explain all that to a total stranger but who ever said this is a story that tries to excuse anything? For the same reason she befriends the protagonist for no reason and makes him carry her luggage just to prove what a bitch she is. Afterwards we get lots of those forced fan service scenes where she keeps seducing him, he keeps begging for forgiveness when he didn’t do anything at all, and she keeps blaming him for everything when it’s otherwise her fault. What a great way to establish them right away as nothing more than done to death ecchi material. After that we get another battle where the otherwise clueless mortal gets sudden power-ups capable to slay a god and even gets some kisses from the tsundere. The action scenes are a pile on nonsense as all they are all doing is swing swords or books and magic beams make things blow up. Not a single attempt at actual close combat or some sort of meaningful choreography, other than lots of flashy but otherwise meaningless visual effects. And it’s not like they are awesome either, as the production values are just ok and not amazing in any way. And boy, how did the tsundere’s personality turned to such a slut all of a sudden? But whatever, this is as far as characterization goes in this show (sluts) and nobody manages to be even slightly interesting. Thus the protagonist may have the power to slay gods but he is otherwise the same wuss of a harem lead accompanied by an army of whores he never bangs; the same crap we get for three decades now. And by the way, we are STILL in the pilot episode. WHOAH EASY YOU GUYS! The show barely began and all the mystery has already been revealed, the setting is explained, the protagonist can slay gods, has seen the tsundere half naked, and already kissed her? A typical Shana-clone would wait for half the show to be over before doing all that as means to keep you guessing and hoping. The scriptwriter practically left nothing to build up for later! Congratulations; you killed our interest in a single episode. And indeed, as soon as the second episode begins everything has now turned to a standard harem show, where the dork protagonist is surrounded by hot chicks and everything is endless misunderstandings and accidental infringements. Just imagine that every time he needs to give or take a spell, he needs to French kiss a girl. And since every girl in this show is after to have sex with or kill him, the result is him constantly stuffing his throat with girls’ tongues. If a deep throat is needed every time they need to cast a simple spell, imagine what they have to do if they ever need to talk about the meaning of life. Remember how Saber recharges her powers in Fate/Stay Night? And you can even forget the setting of the exotic Italy as well. He returns to his home in episode 2 and afterwards it’s just a Japanese high school with a ton of girls in sailor suits for the billionth time. And I have no idea why he went to Italy when he is otherwise using French kisses. Or why the tsundere is dressed like a Spanish dancer instead of an Italian noble. You can also forget the fancy mythological references too. They aren’t even trying to present them as plausible since you get the Greek goddess of wisdom being Mother Nature in loli form that is using Sumerian language in order to erase the stars over Japan by using the power of Medusa through a deep throat kiss by some sailor suit slut. Makes complete sense, right? And you can also forget about how millions of gods exist in this world for millennia. They just appear out of nowhere, blow shit up, the hero reads a wikipedia about them, French kisses some sluts, random shit blow up, he wins with no effort, the Gods disappear as easily as they apeared, more fan service, and then more kisses. If all you want to see is some guy kissing bitches and kills gods that pop out of nowhere with no effort, chances are you will like it. But don’t expect any sort of interesting story to happen. There is barely any in it. They gave up on this after one freaking episode and went for BS fan service. It’s a throw away show with nothing worthy to hope for. But hey, even the title of this anime implies that. I mean just look at it: The Campy-One. And now for some excused scorings. Pros - A lot of information about God from different culture - Good placement of fan service, it leads into romance instead of just for fun - Not your everyday ecchi where the main character fall down and "miraculously" grab some boobs or see some panties - Unique characters personality. Each girls have their own personality and they have different reaction on how to handle the main character - Mild comedy - Great art style - The battle scene looks cool. There is also some cool words before every skills - There's a mixture with Italian language and accent which is very cool and sexy Cons - Some characters need more explanation - Quite predictable storyline

Keep in mind that the premise is absurd, and normally the scores I give on this level give a lower score normally. The background music ranges from awful, to extremely cheesy, to boringly generic. I like the art, but nothing outstanding. The story, while creative, isn't enough to have me give more than a 3 in story. I rated the character and enjoyment factors to be a 10, the cast is likeable and enjoyable, from random loli Athena, to greatest waifu of all-time-ever-no-bones-about-it Erica (Fight me m8 if ya disagree :P) to a protagonist that makes me rage like Godou (but at least I care enough about him) to the white haired knight girl. The reason I'm scoring so high is the absurd levels of satisfaction in the climax of the relationship between Godou and Erica. I rarely get the level of romantic satisfaction I want out of an anime, let alone an ECCHI HAREM anime. The last episode is garbage mind you, as I could care less about Athena's weird identity crisis. But overall, it is fantastic because it maximizes its genres to the fullest. Oh yeah, and I never got to see the identity of that Soothsayer Alice.

disappointed -- harem took 9 episodes to officially take off jk let's be real I thoroughly enjoyed watching the anime, kept me wanting to watch more (meh maybe its because MC kisses someone every episode) the only problem I had with this anime was that too many things left unexplained (although I guess they probably explain it in the LN)... If things were properly explained, then I probably would've given this anime a 9, or even a 10. (sorry bruh, but I can't understand anything you say about the god's background when you speed through it, even though I am pretty knowledgeable about Greek/Roman mythology) Sometimes though it feels as if the harem is fake -- the people are only sticking to him because they want to win his power over to their side. This is probably because it seems as if all four of them fell over to his side a little too quickly (except for maybe Mariya). The art was pretty good, the animations too. The sound was pretty good too. The intro wasn't too catchy, but I did enjoy the outro. The characters were pretty well represented... however the lack of a prominent tsundere made it seem as if it was lacking (because, you know, every good harem needs that one tsundere) The anime itself was different than most harem animes -- the MC is pretty strong himself, but needs to rely on the girls for his powers to work. For this reason, it's pretty good anime, and I would recommend it people who need a new refresher on the harem genre.

I was suggested this anime by a friend when I requested an anime with a strong male lead. If anyone else is ever suggested this based on that request it is not true. What this anime has though in strides is ridiculousness, so ridiculous that you will be rolling of the floor laughing. To not spoil anything but give you a basic understanding, he basically cannot use his power to defeat a god unless he knows a lot about a god. No magic works on him from the outside only magic cast inside him works. He must then lock lips with his harem for them to transfer the knowledge and have him defeat his enemy. Something about this just made me laugh probably because I had no idea what I was getting into. The characters are so serious but they just make out mid battle.. and you would think they were trying to drown the other with their saliva. All this and me drinking I almost died laughing.

You'll enjoy this a lot more if you shut your brain off...entirely (except the breathing part because you need to be alive to watch this). Also possible spiritual successor to Demon King Daimou. This is a harem anime where your main character (male) accidentally kills a god, becomes uber powerful, then all the girls fall head over heels for him because hes god like literally. Before he even gets powerful, he meets two sexy girls, one which immediately asks him for sex, and the other who first threatens him with a knife, becomes his buddy, then gets drunk and asks him to unzip her dress revealing her lacy white unmentionables. The first girl then locks the two in the bedroom and the rest is history. Fast forward literally 10 minutes later and she's professing her love, kissing him multiple times, and the dude just became the new god slayer. The rest of the plot is him using his godly powers to fight other gods around the area. This plot of fighting gods, which are just monsters really, is secondary to harem/ecchi comedy since there are literally girls every 5 minutes trying to bone this guy. Even in his dreams there's a god girl trying to lock lips with him, crazy. I wish the MC would act a little more like a real person and just give into his inner desires instead of playing the "poor me I am so unfortunate to become godlike and have women want me so badly". That would be pretty cool imo. If you dont want to think and want to watch sexy women try to bang this guy while he feebly tries to move the plot along so he can fight some monst- I mean gods, then this is just what the doctor ordered to kill some time with.

Campione!: Matsurowanu Kamigami to Kamigoroshi no Maou (2012) STORY: Main protagonist Kusanagi, Godou goes to Italy to deliver something for his playboy grandfather. He finds out he actually has a Grimoire and then after a few events he makes a pact with a god to then use his powers to defeat an evil one. He gets a cute girl who is overly attached immediately with a harem that builds throughout. The story itself isn’t that bad, although silly at times it is satisfying. One of the best shows with ecchi to be honest. It is placed in the story with good positioning and the characters do go through a lot without just needless flashes and positions. It is a different one in that the girls accept one is the main and others are side girls to the greatest extent. ART: For 2012 it is really good. It is nicely done with good detail. The characters receive great animation. For me the maids are the main girls in the show with exception of Athena being adorable in both forms. They don’t drop detail carelessly as you would see in many shows. SOUND: The OP and ED(s) are good and enjoyable. The battle sounds are great. The general sounds are also very well done. The girls reacting to emotions and situations of an ecchi nature are also very much satisfying. CHARACTER: Godou receives good development. We get to know him quite well. He is aware of the girl’s feelings towards him but is stuck for quite a while with the position based love syndrome thoughts. (Girls only want him due to his power) whilst that is true as that is the entire situation surrounding them it is also fine and works out eventually. Erica is the female lead and is a wonderful character. Mature and yet childish, in love yet weird. She really makes the show enjoyable. Liliana is a Tsundere character with excepted tropes. Yuri is the shy yet wanting to explore type with expected tropes. Ena is somewhat the more unusual in that she is a mix of Tsundere and Yandere. She is also really great in many ways. Shizuka the little sister is one of the best yet not seen that much over the whole show character. She is an all rounder and very strict. She has a brother complex but doesn’t think she does. Athena is a goddess and is shown in an adult form maybe twice to which is pretty cute. Most of the time she holds a younger look of herself with her powers restricted. She is adorable and cute but her character you must remember is somewhat ruthless. Pandora, we see a few times. She is a ditzy addition but nice overall. Karen and Arianna are the two maid girls that are friends. Karen with Liliana and Arianna with Erica. Karen is a super cute girl with a cat-like facial expression that defines her cuteness and her voice is wonderful. Arianna is equally cute with a tendency to be the worst driver you could imagine. ENJOYMENT: The show is very enjoyable. The ecchi like said is some of the best out there that is mixed well into the story. The story follows along in a really nice way. OVERALL: Absolutely worth a watch and would recommend. It ends really well so another season wasn’t a must but would have been desired.

This show falls in at about a 7.5 for me, it is fun but the pacing is a bit rushed. I like the characters but the main story doesn't really go anywhere or more complete sense. It could have used the more typical 25ish episode run. The characters are a high point but more time to flesh them out would have been nice. This show in a lot of ways is a great primer for High School DXD, which is a more adult show. (except for the spoiler scene) SPOILERS: It was funny having characters kiss when so many shows have holding hands as a OMG moment. The not-sex scene is so funny, because it even changes angles to prove there is not-sex happening.

Robert's Too Late Reviews is rolling on the scene! We're going to be discussing the dubbed version of Campione which I found to be a pretty nice show, and it would have cleared an 8 overall from me if not for a handful of small missteps. Quick of it is, if you don't mind some lighter ecchi elements and harems don't make you want to stab someone, then Campione might just rock the house for ya. Let's look at the breakdown and see if there are any new Red Devils for the RTLR wall of harem queens! Story: 7 I'm a total sucker for mythology and the supernatural/occult, and Campione delivers pretty well in this area. The two biggest mistakes are ones that (theoretically could still be fixed) there aren't enough of the 'avatar' powers the male lead inherits showcased, and there's not that many godly enemies for him to fight. I think this series would have been actually better served by being 26 episodes long, which would give the creators time to showcase the different abilities the male lead gains. There are ten in total, but we basically get about three or four used on a regular basis, and some are not ever used or even explained. If there was a longer run, they could explore what each power is, what it does, and how he can utilize it. The other problem with length is that there's not very many rogue gods for him to face down, and one of them ends up being basically a 'clone' of another. I'm wishing they would do another season, as this story is compelling and fun, just it ends right as its starting to ramp up. What? They could do it still, they waited like what? fifteen years between seasons in Full Metal Panic! so it's not like gaps aren't unheard of. Course I hope they don't wait that long before dipping back into the mythology of this one. Its got a good start, it just needs to follow up. When everything starts humming, the series is over. For example, the last member of the harem basically doesn't show up until the last couple of episodes, even though she is featured in the opening prominently (more on that later) so they have room to work for sure. I mean, he has some cool powers, but instead of using the same few over and over (hello MISTER pig!) they could expound on what the others do. There is also a huge catalog of gods and deities for them to pick through to use as foes for the hero. They have a good start utilizing the ones they bring out, and while one might be able to question some of the connections they make while explaining the gods' true origins, they have a good system started. It's not enough for the hero to know a little bit about the guise the god appears in initially, he has to know the true history of the god's development to have the information needed to know what power to deploy against them. This is primarily gained by kissing his knights and them magically kiss-teaching him what he needs to know. They get a little contrived on how that works, but they wanted to throw in some lighter ecchi elements, and so the kiss-teaching became a part of the story. Speaking of the ecchi elements, they really are on the lighter end of the spectrum. I came off watching Shinmai no Testament recently and into this, and believe me, compared to the super boinking going on in Testament, kissing here and there isn't anything. There's no nips for these buds if you follow my meaning, and only once do I really remember anyone putting a hand on another in a way that might be considered inappropriate (i.e. sexy). That one time happens between two girls, and one's not even human. The male lead is nowhere to be seen when this goes down, and it only lasts a split second. There's a few spots where the girls are naked (especially Erica) when the male lead stumbles by or into them, but never are they exposed or anything like that. Just some heavier kissing, with perhaps a little tongue twisting, but nothing even close to Testament's all banging all the time, or even anywhere in DxD's neighborhood of nip slips. Pretty tame overall. They also keep this part of the content pretty well under control. Again I compare it to my recent viewing of Testament, where they would spend a third to a half of an episode on the ecchi material. Campione does not do this, instead settling for a few minutes of awkwardness before a spicy kiss, then right back to ass-kicking. I find that it struck a really good balance between the different story telling elements. Not too much ecchi, not too much shenanigans, and not one constant battle either. Campione features a nice mix of all these elements and a few others in a manner that keeps the pacing just right. Laugh for a moment before the tension of battle, then break that tension for a moment for an ecchi-level event, usually a blushing kiss, then back around again. The bad guys for the most part are rogue gods, and they have an interesting twist to them. They are more than they just appear as. For example (one not used in the show) a god might show as a Greek fertility goddess, but to be able to defeat her, the male lead needs to know her true origins, which usually reaches much farther back than just Greek culture. They might say that the god was actually an interpretation the Greeks made of an older god that existed in the Babylonian pantheon or what have you. This knowledge, which isn't readily apparent, is what the male lead must gain before he has the power to truly subdue the god. This is the info translated to him via magic-kiss from his knights or harem members. I haven't had the time to double check their mythology, but even if their connections aren't historically accurate, they present them in such a way that they seem reasonable. At first, I found the explanation of the gods origins plausible enough to just roll with in the moment. So even if not accurate, it's not so far fetched to be unbelievable. This gives the story a good bit of lore to work with, and as long as harem cliches and light ecchi elements aren't a deal breaker for you, there's some enjoyment to be had here. Art: 7 The art looks good, I really like the way they have the powers deployed, especially the avatar powers the male lead has. If I ever get godly powers, I hope I can summon MISTER pig like he does. I love the way they portray the powers in use. The colors all pop, and the characters look pretty good for the most part. I didn't notice any huge things to knock in general. The things that did bother me were things like the male lead's 'pocket plane' or ability to move the fight into a special dimension. If you've ever seen Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works, then you'll immediately compare this place to the place Archer has. The difference is that this plane in Campione is filled with golden swords, which makes the place a little gaudy looking and a little silly. Personal preference I imagine, but compared to the Archer's wasteland, the one in this series is garish. They don't stay long in that place, thankfully. The other big knock I have is somewhat spoiler related. If you're eagle eyed enough, notice what Athena is wearing in the opening theme. They give away Athena's final disposition (which isn't too surprising anyway) by what she chooses to wear. I think that's a sign there might have been at least a consideration as to making more of the series, her apparel seems to indicate a closer relationship with the male lead than what they develop in these few episodes. There is one slide in the opening, at the end of the song, that is just silly. It has the entire bevy of beauties draped over the hero in his golden sword place like they are all his honeys and he's the big pimp daddy. I think this distracts a bit from the story itself, as its not as stereotypical as that one shot would indicate. Otherwise things looked fine. Not eye popping, not disappointing, just well, a seven. Sound: 8 The voice actors in this anime are really good, which as we know isn't always the case with dubs. Erica's voice actress rolls that Italian off …

Story 7 Will I though the story was petty good I had to give it a 7, because it felt like they where rushing the story. Their where quite a few things they did not show for some reason. In the one epoise Godo is talking to another Campione about a duel they had, for some reason they deiced not to show the duel in the anime series. Their are a few other examples, but I won't go into anymore inb fear of revaling spoilers. Art 8 I really liked the art and animation it was really well done. The fight scenes where really well done. Sound 8 The music was very good it really fit the mood of the anime, the sound effects for the the fight sence where awesome and the voices for the charters really matched the personiltys. Characters 8 I really like the character, thought they did a good job intoducing them in the story and give some of the back storys. Enjoyment 9 I really enjoyed this seres, even though it seem like they where rushing to get it done. I really like the charcters, my favorite charter was Yuri Mariya. Overall 8 Overall this series was good and I relly enjoyed watching it, even if they did leave out a lot of parts that I would have liked to seen. Also the way it ended kind of left things just up their, mabye this mean we will get a season 2.

Is there any continuation for the story? It really feels lacking. One thing I can say about the series is the story definitely feels interesting yet it is not entertaining. It is an attempt of putting up god-deity mythology but considering that most of the time when a topic of mythology is brought up first thing to think is it's not a peaceful environment to be in. Yet the show attempts to break off this theme and begin a more casual approach which just makes it less exciting. I would go even as far as to say that this is way off better being an ecchi highschool anime rather than this lackluster mythological fantasy adventure theme. Since the earlier seems to be far mor enjoying to watch than the latter. The pacing feels way too fast yet way too slow. Why do I say this?, because there are a few instances where the introduction of the characters are basically skipped. Salvatore Doni for example first appearance was in episode 5 yet immediately plays a pretty impactful role in the story. I haven't seen Kusanagi and Doni meet in the first few episodes yet they already did something. Other things to talk about is the story of Lucretia Zola not being elaborated much, Pandora still lacks any revelation, and etc. There's not much to plot direction (yet) Unless there's a chance on season 2. It's just introduction on a lot of characters, maybe fighting together on a major battle, just that. Also the antagonists feel uninteresting. Its just either the "I just want entertainment types" or "World destruction types". Possibly the most interesting Antagonist(?) was Verethragna. So do I recommend this? To be honest, no. I don't feel like anyone is missing out on anything without watching this one. It does not feel a worthwhile watch and I don't want to make y'all watch something you don't enjoy. But if you still decide to watch it for all I've said then you'll probably enjoy the many erotic kissing scenes featured in the show plus a few in-school moments. 6/10 PS I've heard that the light novel is has much more potential so you may check it out.

this anime anyone should look at is a masterpiece !! I like it a lot, a harem with a rather original story, but one that does not excite. The fact that it was set also in Italy intrigued me a lot but in the end the result is an enjoyable series that does not excel in any aspect, except perhaps for the unusual setting, among other things rather cured, of Cagliari. The story revolves around Godou Kusanagi, a Japanese boy who is in Italy (Sardinia) to deliver, under request of his grandfather, an old stone tablet. Here he has his first contact with the gods and the supernatural, having to even face the mythical Persian god of victory Verethragna. Thanks to the help of Erica Blandelli, an Italian girl known a little earlier, and to the stone tablet - which in reality is a powerful grimoire - the protagonist manages to defeat the Persian god and acquire his powers, thus becoming a Champion : a killer of gods. The plot develops with Godou who must learn to use the "ten powers" of Verethragna, each of which has a specific characteristic (Wind, Taurus, White Horse, Camel, Boar, Young, Raptor, Goat, Aries, Warrior), a check the Golden Sword - an instrument always belonging to the Persian god - which, being of divine nature, can hurt any deity and face both other Champions (Salvatore Doni and Lord Sasha Voban) and deities (Athena and Perseus). In the meantime it also encircles other girls, like the vestal princess Mariya, the knight Liliana and Ena. The mythological component is very important within the soul since multiple divinities are presented, which are characterized and analyzed in a fairly specific and detailed way. It does not slow down or even make the anime boring. The graphics are accurate and detailed for the fights, a little less for the characters; a small comparison must also be made with the anime "Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works" because the "world of swords" by Shirou Emiya is very similar to that of Godou Kusanagi.

This anime is "alright" in a general aspect. The story development executes an understandable set of events while also handling character development considerably well, and we get to see the male lead turn into a dynamic part of the anime. Campione! also gives a good reason to why it's labeled as "ecchi," and I'm sure you won't be disappointed when you watch. Though, after about halfway into the anime, it just feels dragged-on and get's quite boring in my opinion. It was really hard to watch Campione! after about seven episodes, but the conclusion to the animeography made the wait well-worth it.

[SPOILERS AHEAD] I thought this was nothing more than a typical ecchi/harem/action anime, until I realized what a masterpiece it is while watching episode 12. That's when it hit me: an epiphany, a moment of bliss when I became one with the Universe. What i'm refering to of course is the "suggestive" sex scene. Just when I was getting excited about the MC finally getting angry and turning BADASS MODE on, he forcefully gets on top of a girl and kisses her, while saying ridiculous things like "take it in.." and she's screaming in her head "I can feel your power". And the true climax? She says it's the first time he really "kissed" her and he then kisses her so hard that she bleeds a little. This started as a cool anime but then it turned into something so absurd and cringy, that I can't help but love it even if it's not for the reasons than the creators intended. 10/10 would recommend! For maximum enjoyment, watch this as if it were a Filthy Frank/iDubbbz video or "Prison School meets fantasy harem".
daimonfo
Its harem done right. Lots of girls with big breasts, lot of different character developments. All the girls have their own personalities that really differ, its not like the author went on a massive copy-paste just to include more girls. The story is decent. They nailed it with the gods and goddesses and with the greek mythology names. There are plot twists here and there, but I wouldn't consider them crazy good, just decent. I don't like the "Campione" title. Champion sounds much better to me. Or hero. Don't really know why the sudden interest in Italian. But its not my anime so who am I to bitch about it? That's right! I am a random guy on the internet, I have total right to bitch about it. Anyways I don't like the name. Its a decent harem. Way better than the vomit inducing random non-sense out there. It has way more combat, ecchi-ness and harem to give my thumbs up. The male lead is okay, not superbly cool. I recommend it.

Campione! is a harem, magic, ecchi with fan service, hardcore make out scenes and one borderline hentai scene. To say this is a "romantic" ecchi, is pushing it. It isn't on the surface anyways. As far as the story goes, it is your basic harem/ecchi and really isn't anything new. The character development is lacking. The harem story lines are not as in depth as you would like to be. The fourth girl enters in the 11th episode and by the end of the series you know nothing about her. It seems they tried to cram too much info into just 13 episodes. Grant it, this could be remedied by a 2nd season, but until that happens this anime is average at best.

Story Great plot, a good story overall though they rushed it way too much. They could easily make more episodes if they included the details in the novel. Art Nothing much to say, simply loved it. Though it may be my art style taste. Sound Great voice acting. OP & ED was fair enough, though not good enough that I'd listen to them because I like them. Character I liked the characters, their personalities were good, at least for a harem. Though if you're after character development you better go find some other anime, while I have seen harems with good character development this is not one of them. Enjoyment I really enjoyed this anime, it gave me many laughs and it was easy to enjoy the action scenes. It really lives up to its comedy genre. Overall I would recommend this anime to anyone that enjoys a good laugh, at least if you like harem animes I would definitely recommend this. The story, the art, the sound and the characters, I simply enjoyed it all.

Campione is an interesting show, it reaches a fair level for story that doesn't care to investigate itself itself all that deeply. And perhaps that's to be expected of the romance harem ecchi realm it resides in, to not be taken all that seriously. Unfortunately it set its initial expectations too high and somewhat deceives you into thinking it will do more then it actually does. Lets start with the plot and narrative of the story: Its not all that much to write home about. Its a common cliche hero's journey generally. The only major distinguishing feature is through most of the show (aside from building the harem) he doesn't really want to be special nor act all that uptight about being a chosen one, but unfortunately that also leaves the main protagonist as rather incapable of much character development. We basically expect him to already be mostly perfect in character, and nothing really redefines him. Who he starts at is most of what he'll stay as. Be prepared if you're fine with a somewhat shonen-esque action narrative and very little development because aside from the ecchi, that's most of what you get and there isn't all that much else. For art: Its alright for this type of show, I wouldn't praise it as all that special, but then I also don't have much of an eye for art in most cases, so take my opinions on the art with a grain of salt. For sound: Soundtrack is alright, fits well and doesn't conflict with the action and narrative, although nothing about it pops out, other then that nothing is out of place as far as sounds in the show, it all works fine enough to immerse you. Next to characters: This is probably the biggest letdown. My usual expectation for a story that fits in a harem protagonist is that the girls are either interesting, deep, or to be well developed. (if not also the protagonist himself) This is usually the bread and butter of most harem stories that present themselves as actual cohesive narratives. The unfortunate thing about Campione is it does not do this. There are mainly four girls in the harem by the endpoint in the story: There's the obvious main girl who we meet in the first few minutes and sticks around the whole time. There isn't all that much interesting about her. Initially I was thinking, based on how she's introduced and the initial interactions with the protagonist, that she wouldn't immediately fall in love with him and would follow a path of realizing her feelings or such as the show went on, one of those classic main girl syndrome type of deal. That's not really what happens, she instead falls in love with him somehow in the first episode. (not that I can really see it even when it tells me where, how, and why) Given what happened in the first episode I became immediately confused why she was all over the protagonist because there is no transition to it, she's presented like that without context or reason. (when originally in the first episode she was really mad at him for cliche ecchi reasons) As a result she becomes in my opinion quite annoying, which doesn't help when she also acts fairly smug making me start to wish, even just a little, that she'd eat dirt and be humbled. She also does not evolve as a character at all after the first episode, which is made worse when its expected that you accept that she loves the main protagonist without question which to my eyes was quite suspicious and I thought was gonna make her deeper then that. But to no avail. The next girl doesn't require nearly as much to cover as she's a standard shy girl archetype, she isn't exactly open about what she wants and in this case neither is able to do all that much actione-wise. There isn't all that much to say about her as she just follows the standard shy girl archetype to a tee. In her case she probably gets the most actual development over the whole of the show compared to the other girls, but unfortunately its the cliche type of development for that archetype, being the "coming out of the shell a bit" development. Only major character trait outside the archetype is her being bad with technology, which is handled as a one-off throwaway joke anyway and not really worth mention. The third girl we meet is in my opinion probably the most interesting as she at least has a complex and more defined character then everyone else. She also has a personal hobby that continually reoccurs in the story and speaks to actually being the deepest of the characters had it been better exploited. She also gets pretty good character development, nearly rivaling the previous girl, however reason I say this one is less developed mostly because of her short-lived characterization in comparison and how quickly the characterization is resolved. How I'd define her character mostly is innocently naive and extremely loyal, one of her biggest traits is how she doesn't actually understand her own motivations as part of the harem, which isn't developed on all that much, least not after the point where she develops feelings for the protagonist. Last girl doesn't even really show up until the last few episodes and she isn't really characterized all that well, if at all. There isn't much to regard on her and a good chunk of her screen time is devoted to making her a puppet of an antagonist anyway. That's about all there is to say about her, she doesn't change. For all the other characters that we see, they service their role fine, I wouldn't expect much development from secondary characters and for the most part that's how it functions, there aren't any real standout characters from a development view and we don't get any time with much of them. As for enjoyment: I found show enjoyable to watch up to the end, but even then I can't help but rate it low since it seems to expect you don't think about what you're watching while also presenting a rather high level investigation of its main topic, that being a bunch of mythological gods and their background and history. (including how they were developed) The show really does not pace its expectations with its characters, but the narrative itself does most of what you're expecting it to that aside, though the characters are left feeling unfinished. Overall I enjoyed the show while watching it, but was getting annoyed at the characters and their lack of development for the most part and the expectation to not think too much. These type of shows don't need a big twist even in the characters, but if its gonna be a decent romance, (even as a harem romance) you really should expect the romance to seem natural or make some semblance of sense, this show is not that unique just because of its action and subject matter. If you're fine with no thought action romance fantasy or without much character evolution then this show has got you covered, but if you actually enjoy developing romances and interesting harem girls, you probably should move.
