Story : (6) - slow start - quite interesting however some parts are confusing there were some very deep meanings in this movie and I love how they related this movie with "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Art : (10) I was seriously blown away by the art. This anime/movie has one of the most beautiful animations I've seen. The coloring is fantastic and it just leaves you speechless by how beautiful it is. Character: (4) This was the part of the movie that I disliked the most. The characters are too typical and you can pretty much predict from the start who they like and who they will later end up with. There were some moments where I sympathized with the characters though. Overall : Although it wasn't the best I've seen, I definitely enjoyed it. It really got me thinking about the communication between people. I think this is a very wonderful anime movie and that if you have time, you should definitely watch it.

A Ferrari Without an Engine: The Visual Definition of a Waste of Time With a background of more than 11,000 episodes watched and hundreds of works completed, I believed I had already developed a “thick skin” for bad anime. I’ve seen works with poor animation, cliché plots, and forgettable stories. However, Nerawareta Gakuen achieved an unprecedented feat: it genuinely made me angry at the sheer waste of potential. Let’s be fair with the only positive point: visually, the film is a masterpiece. The art direction, lighting, character design, and especially the landscapes are breathtaking. Sunrise Studio (famous for Gundam) delivered what feels like a luxury “Tech Demo,” created solely to showcase how well they can render light reflections and magnificent sunsets. If you watch the film muted, imagining it as an animated screensaver, you might actually have a pleasant experience. However, the film commits the cardinal sin of forgetting that it needs to tell a story. The script is an absolute disaster. The narrative is so disconnected, fragmented, and nonsensical that it feels as if the writing team was under the influence of some hallucinogenic substance or experiencing a collective delirium during production. Nothing connects. We have a premise of time travel mixed with psychic powers and school drama, but the execution is pitiful. The antagonists’ motivation (saving the future by banning cell phones in the past?) defies basic logic and insults the viewer’s intelligence. The director seems to have been so obsessed with creating beautiful scenes that he forgot to direct the plot, resulting in a pile of gorgeous visuals that lead nowhere, with characters acting erratically and without explanation. It’s frustrating because the “packaging” promised a work on the level of Makoto Shinkai, but the “content” has the depth of a puddle and the coherence of a fever dream. Conclusion: Don’t watch it for the story, because it doesn’t exist. Nerawareta Gakuen is the perfect example of “style over substance.” A beautiful shell, hollow inside, that only served to steal 1h40 of my life that I’ll never get back. A visually stunning disappointment. A motivação dos antagonistas (salvar o futuro proibindo celulares no passado?) desafia qualquer lógica básica e insulta a inteligência do espectador. ;-)

If you want a wallpaper, you can use this movie. That's the only good thing about this movie. Absolute trash, it lacks any structure, any proper plot. All characters are cliche and friendship solves everything at the end. Sometimes, you can't even tell wtf is going on plot wise. MC has no idea what is going on but the moment his grandpa does some magic, suddnely he is the second coming. They definitely used up all the budget in animation, because it certainly didn't go into the writing. Also, one of the female MC keeps being abusive to the main MC because she loves him. And we are supposed to find this cute.

I hate it when the writer and director thinks he is a genius and that he is the best by making his story Complex and confusing and that no one understands it. I am sad because the wonderful drawings and beautiful characters were wasted because of the bad plot. He thinks that his story is wonderful because he makes a lot of things Complex and confusing. Man, we can't read your thoughts. There are millions of possibilities that can be put in place of the important missing things. Also, what is the point of the story if you want me to figure out what the story is? Do you want me to write instead of you ? Just tell me what the damn story is and don't make me confused while I try to understand what happened. The sad thing is that I loved the characters and the world, so I am angry. However, if it was another bad story, I wouldn't have cared, but I loved the movie, so I feel like my head is going to explode, especially since I watched the movie at the beginning of my entry into the world of anime and I had beautiful memories of it, but when I rewatched it, I discovered that it was bad. 😞 I just want to sit with the writer and ask him what he was thinking and what the story is. My head hurts from thinking too much because any possibility I put may not be the true and the correct one . Is anyone one feeling like me ?😂 i love the animation and the music but its not everything the most important thing is the plot and the story but when you hide it you will ruin everything Excuse my writing, I used a translator Google

-CONTAINS NO SPOILERS- Not good, not too bad. The story is very confusing and maybe even makes sense (which I don't think it does haha), but for me it's not even worth trying to understand it completely. The positive points of this movie are basically animation and the romance of the protagonist Kenji and the character Natsuki. The rest of the cast of characters aren't as endearing, especially Harukawa and Kyougoku (basically it's a less weird copy of Nagisa from Evangelion). Another positive point is the art direction and the music direction that together is harmonious, in short animation has a quality worthy of a movie. In conclusion, I don't recommend it, but the movie is not all bad either.

Talk about a misleading title. I went into this expecting a generic shonen action-fest, and instead got a slow-paced romantic drama. The artwork is gorgeous, done in a hyper-colourful Shinkai-esque style, and the animation is expressive. The story raises some interesting themes, but suffers from a lack of focus. The major characters feel oddly disconnected from the conflict unfolding at school (what passes for the psychic 'wars' in the title), and that side of it doesn't really develop or resolve in a satisfying way; it just gets dropped as the film shifts its focus elsewhere. This becomes an ongoing problem. The strongest part of the film is the first hour of build-up. Once it gets into the endgame, half-explained plot points get shotgunned around so much that it's hard to latch onto any one thing. The characters themselves are pretty good and generally sympathetic, though the girl-next-door has that annoying trope of constantly punching and abusing the boy she claims to like. Overall, it's a pretty enjoyable movie that is a delight to look at, but never quite manages to pull its plot threads together into a cohesive whole. Its approach to science fiction and tone reminded me of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, but it's not as polished a film as that one.
