I hate this movie it's so dreadfully dull and boring, if you're ever stuck with the unfortunate fate of neverending insomnia this is the ultimate cure. I watched this right after waking up and I still had to pause the movie to meditate for an hour because it was so god damn exausting to slog through. Watching these cursed abominations unnaturally slither around the screen as they clip in and out of existence while changing colours every other shot is enough to give you nightmares. The movie starts with a weird psychedlic sequence of animals mucking around and a little boy fishing up a star and proceeding to fly around the sky while playing hide and seek with this gross bear creature and then finding his way to the star of peace because he yearned for space or something I guess. This takes like 20 minutes to transpire and it's mostly filled with gross giggling while sweet succulent nothing happens. After a while you get to see nasty animal creatures dance around in an inappropriate dance sequence in this scary acid-filled sequence, which this movie being for kids is wild. After they finally decide that the audience has had enough suffering they finally get to doing literally anything and the boy meets Ambassador Magma (yes, the one from the Tezuka manga) and befriends him, but then Maleficent (also yes) attacks the star of peace to take over space. They scrap a bit but Maleficent escapes because yes and Magma takes the snot nosed brat with him because what kind of animated Korean movie would this be without the annoying kids to bring some funny hijinks with them, thank god there's no singing in this one. They also find some girl in a cave who Maleficent kidnapped with their dad and left the daughter on some rock because yes and for some reason when talking they forgot to animate the girls lip flaps for a lot of the movie so she's somehow creepier than the other demented characters. Aside from Maleficent's gross comic-relief sidekick that they hate animating properly for some reason, the other big name in this crossover nobody asked for is... Gigantor! I guess. This movie is old enough that I guess there were no good mechas to rip off yet. Little do the leeches of the Korean animating department know, Voltron is just beyond the horizon. Sleep inducing is the least of this movies problems, it's relentlessly annoying. The only engaging thing going on is spotting the infinite animation errors but even those get tired after the 300th one. So you're left essentially staring at a wall for over an hour, because watching clouds drift by is more stimulating than this rubbish so I can't in good conscious compare it to that.
