At first, I was not into the idea of watching this. But then I came around, and boy can I say i have no regrets. The storyline is on point. The art is my kind of shit. The sound really does not matter lmao. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I would recommend this anime 9/10. The drama is very good, and so is the romance. Really did make me cry to be honest. I don't know if the love triangle made this anime better or worse, but I think it was necessary. Have fun watching the anime! unless of course, you already have!

I watched the anime (keeping in my mind that its a forbidden type) thinking of enjoyment of a kid and adult relationship but i got more than i expected the story twists more dramatically through half way giving me another reason(romance and love between them) to watch more than just enjoyment. So if you are searching for a enjoyable anime plus romantic too and a little of ecchi(perfectly balanced ecchi such that anyone would like) then go for this. Reason why i liked it: a 10 grade students and his teacher(too hot and cute at the same time)romance story which turned more of love at last.Their cute and bashful romance though they are married. You are only be able to enjoy it if you leave for thriller/mystery logic bahind cuz this is different leave your logic(i mean heavy objections regarding plot or other)of Sherlock and watch it.

Story- The main premise of the story is unique, which was one of the reasons I decided the show to begin with. It may seem a little far-fetched to some, but I enjoyed it. This anime doesn’t waste time in getting to main plot. The main focus of the story is the secret relationship of Kei and Mizuho. They try to maintain a sense of normality in their lives despite the unusual and “unique” situation that they find themselves in. Also we find main character struggling with a condition he calls “stand-stills” (not in the synopsis above) and how he learns to deal with it. I can’t honestly say how much of this series or if any episode can be considered “filler” episodes, I found each one entertaining and important as the last. There is a few other romance sub-plots included, which arrive around midway through the series and continue throughout. These don’t really play a major role, but I found them to okay. This show does contain elements of sci-fi in it; however it doesn’t play center stage in the series. It does however create issues for our main characters. Ecchi content is present in this series, but for some reason seemed a little low. There were plenty of opportunities in almost every episode, yet for some reason they did not take advantage. All we received in return were some shower scenes mixed in with a few odd poses and awkward situations. However I will caution you that this show does contain adult content and some suggestive dialogue, so this isn’t for younger viewers. Warning: Some events in this series are mentioned in the spin-off, Please Twins, which takes place about 6 months to 1 year later. Sound/Art- I can’t really say that this area was a major deciding factor in my overall score. I thought animation was fairly decent and the dubbing good as well. However there was some censorship in the series although I don’t understand why they would put in to begin with. Characters- This anime takes time to develop certain characters as well as giving some background information for a select few. They also give characters depth which helped in this category. The one thing did enjoy is that the characters weren’t just there; they actually had them play roles in the development of the storyline. They betrayed Kei as bit of spineless wimp. This is enforced when constantly throughout the series. Overall - Overall I give this series a solid 7, it has its flaws but overall it was a good watch. However it comes up short in some areas. This series is definitely worth checking out at least once despite its premise. I would recommend watching this series first if you are planning to watch Please Twins at a later date. Warning: Please Teacher is a parent story to a spin-off, Please Twins. Some events that take place in the in the first series, will be mentioned in the second. Watch Please Teacher before Please Twins.

At first, you might think that this is just a really extravagant advertisement for Pocky. But not a very good one, in my opinion. This anime was a bit too weird for me. I guess it was okay enough having a teacher fall in love with their "totally age appropriate but looks younger than their actual age" student. That's fine. The fact that he doesn't ever stop calling her "teacher", though, makes it too weird for me. I also had a hard time relating to the characters, especially the main character who apparently goes into some weird state of being when he gets depressed about something. It was too much for me. I'm glad that it was only twelve episodes long.

Please Teacher is a story of how a sexy alien humanoid teacher decides to fall in love with a boy with the personality about as loveable as the lint you find in the back of your dryer. In fact, watching your clothes dryer tumble around and around could be more enjoyable than watching this. Hiding their relationship from those around them, our main characters Kei and Mizuho dance around each other's emotions while simultaneously dancing around a flaky script and so many moments of filler. It's a marathon to get through. The novelty of the show's scenario took a couple of episodes to wear off but once it did I sat there waiting for the next big 'wow' moment, or the next big development to unfold. But the twists and turns are unsatisfying and the supporting cast are usually cast aside for more Kei screen time, who has the appeal of a root canal. Mizuho isn't much more exciting. Her main personality trait appears to be having Pocky in her mouth, longing for Kei because... um... he's the main character, and falling into the personality trope more typical of a 14-year-old jealous girlfriend. Riveting viewing. They're a painful couple to watch. Nothing they do, say or think is realistic. It's enough to make you pull your hair out. There's usually a point in a bad anime where, if you're a couple of drinks deep, it can redeem itself through a so-bad-it's-good moment. Perhaps it's a funny scenario, a laughable piece of dialogue or a fanservice moment that's so over the top you can't help but cackle. Too bad there's none of that here. You'll watch our main character make atrocious decisions, lie to himself, deprive himself of what he really wants and you'll enjoy every minute of it, damn it.

What happens when a girl from Outerspace, set on a mission to watch over planet Earth, is met one lonely night by a frail and timid high-school boy? Kei Kusanagi is an ordinary kid, despite one minor thing: he's actually been asleep for three years of his life. Due to a crazy health condition, he slept away all of the greatest years of his life. Now, having moved away to start his high-school life over again at the age of eighteen, Mizuho Kazami, an alien disguised as his new homeroom teacher suddenly moves next door. Worried about her secret identity as an alien, she trusts in him to keep her secret. Shortly after an unforeseen circumstance at school, they both find themselves marrying each other. The story seems pretty simple, and it also seems like a recipe for the most generic ecchi anime to ever exist, but it somehow manages to defeat that stereotype in just twelve short episodes. Rather than focusing on a full-frontal love triangle featuring absurd amounts of nudity and sex appeal, Onegai Teacher chooses to be something different. It's a real romance story with real, relatable characters that have more than an interest in our main character. They have lives of their own and manage to support the protagonist and his individual story very well, alongside maintaining an interesting and well-developed series of subplots. Each and every character feels alive and extremely developed. They're the opposite of generic background characters; they're a part of everything that is happening no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. It's impressive just how much the supporting characters can drive the plot forward. From faithful friends to other teachers in the school, everyone does their part to make sure the world around them seems as if it's progressing and accelerating alongside the relationship between Mizuho and Kei. Combining the emotions of love and romance with the deep emotions of sadness and despair, the suspense of the dramatic tone is quite an achievement. It's surprisingly metaphysical, and I think that it stands out to be one of the most remarkable parts of the show. It's a living and breathing world with real people inside of it, and it's clear that it is from the very beginning. Colorful, consistent, and commendable, the characters and world design present themselves to be a step above the rest. It's not amazing, but there is a certain distinctness that radiates from Onegai Teacher that truly reflects the efforts made by the producer and animators to make something unique. The animation has small and intricate details that make the project seemingly shine, such as the movement of each character's hair in the wind, or the ruffles in their clothes when moving around. It feels as if studio Daume really attempted to make an additional effort to bring the characters to life, and I think that's what really makes Onegai Teacher special. Considering just how unoriginal and lustful Onegai Teacher seemed at first glance, I wholeheartedly did not expect to enjoy it. It's a love story full of difficult trials to overcome and secrets that desperately need to be kept in order to sustain the relationship between the two main characters. A true romance that can be appreciated in its entirety, devoid of the major sex appeal that most directors rely on to sell their shows. While it's not displeasing to look at, it holds a fair level of modesty and respect for the story that's being told, even if it at first comes off as your typical ecchi fare.

Before I get started on the actual review, credit needs to be given where it's due. And while part of it was from literally just finishing watching all of the "Onegai Sensei" episodes, there's another portion in which I owe my spouse thanks for even inspiring and suggesting I give this a shot. Just like with my top lists, these are all purely my personal opinions. I'm not going to ask anyone to side with me. All you need to do is read these. Whether you want to post up any of your own thoughts or opinions is up to you in the end. I wouldn't be against it by any means. But keep it to constructive criticism. I will not accept trolling or flaming by any means. And before I forget, this will likely include more than just fandoms. I may include manga, movies, video games, other forms of media. Unfortunately, I can't promise it'll go in any particular order except ideas that immediately come to my mind or I'm inspired to write about. So it'll probably seem out of place at times. But hopefully it'll be somehow intriguing. Final warning, most of these reviews will probably be spoilers. So if you haven't seen and/or read any of these but don't want to have any surprises for you ruined, don't read these. Without anymore ado, let's begin shall we? To help properly grade all of these, I'm going to separate them into several parts. And yes, these will also probably be applied to all the reviews. Do note that I will only list the most important main and side characters in all of my reviews, not every single individual: Plot Main Characters Side Characters Music Overall grade Onegai Sensei (Anime) Plot: It started out relatively simple enough. Guy meets woman - although an alien one - and becomes infatuated and slightly afraid of her. However, he thinks it to be a dream and goes to sleep. The next day, the same woman becomes his teacher, hence the 'sensei' part of the title. They start talking with one another, with the teacher admitting and revealing that she was indeed the same figure the boy had seen last night. The term 'alien' really does seem to be used in a context which is defined as 'foreign' because she never once changes her shape or looks like the typical non-humanoid that one would probably expect. I'll admit, I was thinking she would alter herself at some point in time and was thus pleasantly surprised when she didn't. While the focus does stay mostly on the two protagonists, it does occasionally shift to the side characters. And for the most part, it gets really rocky when it does. In fact, I can fairly say that the first five episodes were some of the better ones. By the 6th - 10th, too many emotional roller coasters were added in. And what perhaps made it worse was it was all unnecessary. The anime did, thankfully, redeem itself in the last several episodes. But by then, I was so infuriated at all the curve balls they did toss that I wasn't 100% sure whether I found myself loving or hating the show more. Total Plot Score: 7/10 This had a great start at first. It would no doubt be higher if it had kept on a more steady path. While admittedly, the romance was incredibly rushed, it was at least genuine. Things got truly annoying when the side characters came in. Most were redeemable in some form or fashion. Others, however, I just couldn't overlook. But I'll further elaborate on them in the more appropriate section. I don't mind multiple characters liking the same one. It does add an interesting source of conflict. But when it isn't handled well ... that's when it becomes annoying for me. That being said, if a guy says they like someone else, don't be so damn pushy or make him go into a guilt trip to like a girl he doesn't want to be with. And that was a good portion of what made me grade the plot lower than it could have been. There was potential to make it an 8, probably 9 even. But the annoying and wrath-incurring love triangles made me give it a lower score. Main Characters: Kei Kusanagi: Much like the plot, he started out as a damn likeable character. But during the middle of the story, he became way too fickle and allowed too many petty things like peer pressure to nearly make him give up on his true love. He does - thank gods - make up for his changes of heart and remain with his true love in the end. But ... in between those periods where he was trying to figure what to do or not do, urgh! I wanted to punch him for all he said and did. What had made him the most unique, however, was his illness. That being said, I was infuriated when they gave another character the same condition. It should have stayed so only he had his standstills. That really, really would have made quite a bit much better; if it had remained that way. All in all, however, he was more decent than irritating. I can definitely say I liked him better than others. Mizuho Kazami: The 'teacher' and alien woman that Kei falls in love with. She was by far my favorite character. And no, not because of her role as one of the protagonists. Despite being an alien, she felt more human. She had emotions, a damn soul! Mizuho felt far more real than most of the rest of the cast; to me, at least. And even after all the ups and downs she went through with Kei, her loyalty to him never dwindled. The plot gave her tons of opportunities to leave Kei. But did she ever take any of them? No. Mizuho remained with him until the very end, even during their worst times together. That was by far more beautiful than the actual plot, her devotion to Kei. While the wiki describes her as being easy to distinguish from other humans, I personally disagree. She's not the first woman in an anime I've seen with exotic hair color such as purple. That could be considered normal enough, or at the very minimum believable. After all, dye does exist in such colors so she could have used that lie if she so desired. I think my main flaw with Mizuho was it took till near the very end for her to put her foot down and tell Kei enough was enough. Hearts shouldn't ever be tampered with and I cried for her throughout the entire series when something went amiss. Most of the time it was mainly against both her and Kei, yes. But she never went through her own wishy-washy periods like Kei did. That being said, I found it much easier to sympathize with Kazami. Total Main Characters Score: 9/10 It would have no doubt been a perfect 10/10 .. if they hadn't forced Kei to have no backbone for so damn long. In fact, that was often what he lacked; the ability to stand up for himself. And he does acquire it, yes. But I hate that it took for the series to be nearly over for this to show up! He started loving her near the beginning. It didn't have to be delayed that long. Side Characters: Koishi Herikawa: Don't even get me started with this girl. I wanted to punch her much more than Kei! She reminded me way too much of Haru from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!; being the same clingy girl. And even if not right away, Kei makes it obvious and confesses he doesn't love her! Dear gods ... I just ... urgh! I hated this side character the most by far, hands down. She had nothing good to ever say, she was selfish, she never once attempted to redeem herself just ... nothing! There was not a damn thing decent about her. The series would have definitely been better without her. Ichigo Morino: The second worst side character of the series. She's a good part of the reason Kei got so fickle in the first damn place. Little brat .. sending him on a guilt trip. More than that, they wound up giving her the same illness that Kei was diagnosed. No! Just .. no! It was better when only he had it. I instantly pressed the 'bullshit' button upon finding out this girl had it also. Why? Because it's used in a manner which the audience is meant to pity her and agree that Kei did need to be with Koishi instead of Mizuho. No! No, no, no, no! That pissed me off of every end of this earth. Gods did it ever. Minoru & Konoha Edajima: Kei's aunt a…

WATCH UNTIL EPISODE 7 AND READ THE MANGA PLS, IM TRYNA SAVE YOU HERE Okay, now that I just saved you... I have dyslexia, sorry if I misstype It started like the average male fantasy anime, looked generic asf from afar, but my intuition told me to keep watching, and the more I watched, the more I enjoyed it and got into it, the characters have plenty of soul, the primitive elements from it's time make it unique, and as forced as some plots are, they are still funny, and it's only im the beggining the circumstances and situations of the stuff that happens and gets revealed overtime it's some 10/10 stuff, and I swear to gos this anime had the potential to be a 10/10 stuff, but they just had to rush it, make it shorter, and mess up the end, leaving that feeling of "Something is missing". That kinda ruined it, I still haven"t read the manga, but having the ending already spoiled kills a lot of it's purpose I might read it once a few years go by and I forget some stuff. Despite that... it's a solid 7/10, and not a 5 or a 4, because it's an amazing story, and I appreciate their efforts to do things right with the limited resources, still made a goos enough anime, but gosh, 10 more episodes would've made a masterpiece! It's a gap in my hearth I'm not sure I'll ever fill, but if I could, I would erase my memories about this anime, and read the manga first

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting anything from an anime with this title. I thought I’d give it a 5/10 at best, but I was so pleasantly surprised. The writing honestly felt very chaotic at first. Mizuho being an alien sounded so strange, then Kei’s illness ?? That was a lot, especially for an anime I thought was just an icky romance between a teacher and her student. At least, this strange illness makes Kei an 18 years old but it felt kinda forced just to make this relationship legal. I started kinda losing it when it turned out Kei wasn’t the only one to have this illness, felt like a lot. I still really enjoyed the whole romance part, there’s something that’s very cute about Kei and Mizuho’s relationship. It’s very innocent, just like a first love. Their relationship is very tendering to watch, and they really grow throughout the whole anime. I was kinda disappointed to hear Kei call Mizuho sensei all the time, especially after all the time they’ve spent together. It just reminds you that this relationship isn’t something normal. Aside from that, i’ve caught myself smiling at the screen way more than I thought. They are very adorable together, and they always made me smile or smirk. The others characters are all very touching and we quickly get attached to them. I was really happy to see 3 very different girls (shoutout to Kaede being taller than all of the girls, it’s rare to see tall girls in animes) that were not all crushing on Kei but instead had great writing and very distinct personalities. Seeing how the characters all deal with their emotions and feelings on a deep level was a really nice add too. I didn’t think I’d cry watching this anime, but there was a heavy topic towards the end I wasn’t expecting that brought tears to my eyes. On the technical parts, the art style and the colors were very beautiful and charming. It likely doesn’t go higher than 10fps, but it’s enough to convey emotions properly. Saying the original soundtrack is great would be an understatement, it’s really got such a nostalgic and beautiful feel to it, it’s so charming. It’s overall a very feel-good slice of life. For a romance anime, there is a reasonable amount of display of affection, just enough that you can fully enjoy and cherish the moments characters are seen close together, and not too much to a point you’d get bored of it. It’s perfectly balanced. I would highly recommend it.

This is a priority one! I think that is about the only thing I'm going to remember about this show. The voice acting is terrible and that's the only the start of my problems with it. I don't care for the aesthetics in the slightest, though I understood a little bit more about why because the show is 20 years old. The characters are weak and poorly developed, though I have to give a little lot of credit to breaking from the usual high school celebrations and festivals and whatnot. That being said, I would have taken them on repeat in this case. I was going to drop this entirely about episode 8, but I have a hard time convincing myself to do that with anything. Just know that if you don't watch this, you're not going to miss out on much.
