InuYasha was my first TRUE love. I had seen other animes before, but they were the classics like Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Yu-gi-oh, you know those ones u watched when u were little. I started InuYasha when i was in grade 4 and i am still obsessed with it now (and im in grade 11.) Its probably incorrect for me to declare it my all time favourite anime/manga because i've seen dozens it i know i'd just be saying it cuz im biased. Which is why i will simply leave it as my first true love. Anyway because it is my first true love i shall rate it overall as a masterpiece. And yes i know it has its flaws, but i cannot help it. It was a magnificent experience for me And Sesshomaru will remain my all time favourite anime character. I don't care how many more cool characters come along, he is my one true love (followed by Inuyasha himself). Anyway the story was prolonged, could've cut straight to the chase, but then again what famous anime does that anyways? Look at Naruto! I personally find the story absoultely horrible and the character relations were just dreadful. So to see Naruto recieve so much praise just turns me off. AND THAT DAMN SASUKE!--But screw Naruto this is InuYasha we're talking about. The Final Act brought together the ending of the story wonderfully. And it was the most enjoyable part of the entire series. Long live InuYasha! And thank you Rumiko Takahashi for bringing it to life!

First review, soo bear w/ me. Okay. Inuyasha, Inuyasha, Inuyasha. How I love this anime dearly. Overall rating [9] To me this anime could have been a straight 10. But it kinda had its down the drain moments. For one, i wanted this anime to continue. Even with 167 episodes...Inuyasha itself was very enjoyable. I grew up on it. The first ever anime to watch. [Besides, sailor moon..i didnt know what anime was at that time]; Inuyasha is truley the reason why I love anime till this day. Music. The music was the BEST ever. Also having the best OSTS. Never would I thought that I would have all of the endings on my ipod. The music helped me w/ every emotion. The music made me shed tears like a baby. Not yet have I found music quite as good as Inuyasha's. Story. Okay. The there were times that i just wanted the story to cut to the chase. It was kinda run on too long. It wasn't horrible/ But it dragged on a bit long, with at times nothing changed. Looking for jewel shards and when fighting Naraku, he [as usual] FLED. Im a sucker for love stories. And Inuyasha seemed to have just a tiny missing piece. It was obvious that Inuyasha and Kagome liked[loved] each other..I dont know what the hell took so long.. gosh. It had its funny moments which i loved dearly, and the moments where you thought that they were gonna kiss. When I watch Inuyasha now, I must remember when it was made. Its not 2010 arwork for sure. But its alright. The characters had a bit of chane during the anime. Inuyasha went from a severe jerk. To more warm hearted. PS. He saved his friends in EVERY situation. Sango's and Miroku started to conduct feelings :) . Sesshomaru was fucking badass the whole time. I loved it. Even becoming more soft [ You felt his love/care for Rin] etc.. [Getting tired]..this anime was very enjoyable. The music is outstanding. Its a funny romance with action. The episodes are re-watchable. You can be a huge fangirl.* Even though it drags on a bit. Its truly recomended.

Inuyasha was my first ever anime. It was the beginning of something new for me, as cheesy as that may sound. I realize now that the series might not have been as spectacular as I had protrayed in my elementary years. Character growth was a major issue in this show. Many of the main characters like Kagome and Sango lacked developement of any kind. During the fillers, the onslaught of minor characters killed me. I found myself resenting almost ever single petty character, demon or human, that would take up one whole filler episode. The artwork of the series was great, as expected of Rumiko Takahashi. The anime transferred the art from the manga perfectly and nothing else can be said. While listening to the soundtrack of this show, I am always reminded of how much the music impacted the show. The music was beautifully composed and preformed. Some of the opening and ending themes could have been chosen more carefully, but was great none the less. The plot was, at times, very repetative. The fillers were agonizing to watch for a lot of people, including myself. I did enjoy myself watching when there was an actual storyline. Overall, the story could have been better in many aspects. My rating is fair in my point of view and so is my review. Looking back, I really did enjoy myself watching this anime, no matter what people think. --Rennemeow :)

Wow where do I even begin. First time I watched Inuyasha was in 2009 and again in 2021 so not your usual fan because of nostalgia. Inuyasha is a packed anime, so I will write only the main points. Nobody spins a tale and write characters developmemt like Rumiko Takahashi. A complex storyline which isn't fit for young kids mind with action, fantasy, teenage love, and a memorable cast. Inuyasha is fantasy tale set in Feudal Japan. As usual for Takahashi her gags are the best and lighten the mode from time to time. The characters are what make Inuyasha a masterpiece. I never seen such realistic character (yes even the demons), their emotions are so real you will be invested in them. The MC is loud, rude and sweet, but not your typical Shonen MC, here everything has a reason. You see Inuyasha it was about the characters, who they are, and why they made their decisions, yes there is a pretty damn good plot but it was not as important as the characters feelings and why they were acting the way they were, making this a character driven story. This is not a generic protagonist vs. antagonist story. “Defeat Naraku” may be the overarching unifying plot that drives the story toward some end, but the heart of InuYasha is in the characters and the mini plots. And all the characters and dynamics that come out of Naraku's past doing. The anime is from 2000 yet the animation is crazy good for 99% of the series, I'm sure Sunrise and Kyoto Animation put a lot of money in there. OST? well just the best OST in anime history

hello people back with my 4th review on a childhood classic for many inuyasha and do i love this show a lot of people hate it i dont know why so this review will be a good one story 10 out of 10 Based on the Shogakukan award-winning manga of the same name, InuYasha follows Kagome Higurashi, a fifteen-year-old girl whose normal life ends when a demon drags her into a cursed well on the grounds of her family's Shinto shrine. Instead of hitting the bottom of the well, Kagome ends up 500 years in the past during Japan's violent Sengoku period with the demon's true target, a wish-granting jewel called the Shikon Jewel, reborn inside of her. After a battle with a revived demon accidentally causes the sacred jewel to shatter, Kagome enlists the help of a young hybrid dog-demon/human named Inuyasha to help her collect the shards and prevent them from falling into the wrong hands. Joining Kagome and Inuyasha on their quest are the orphan fox-demon Shippo, the intelligent monk Miroku, and the lethal demon slayer Sango. Together, they must set aside their differences and work together to find the power granting shards spread across feudal Japan and deal with the threats that arise. art 10 out of 10 perfect for its time its awesome sound 10 out of 10 the music is just awesome one of the best osts ever characters 10 out of 10 i love all the characters aside from naraku but kikyou gets so much hate for no reason shes a one of a kind character if her and kagome did not like inuyasha there would be a bromance Enjoyment 10 out of 10 this anime rules i loved watching it so much Overall 10 out 10 i think everyone shoud watch it

Maybe I'm overrating this series, but to be honest, this has become my favorite anime of all time InuYasha presents a non-so common type of story, since it has all the action an violcence that shounen use to have, but also features romance, something that's not common on shounen, but in shoujo, we can see how a true love between InuYasha and the priestess Kikyo in the feudal age becomes the start of a terrible fight for the Shikon Jewel, since the demons want it's shards to be stronger, and after Kikyo's death, now her reencarnation Kagome (or Aome, as she's known in the Latin American dubbing) must acompany InuYasha to search for the shards as well as tries to keep a normal life in her age (modern age) and her school The artstyle is very good, it looks similar, but a little bit more detailed that the one used in the manga, my only critic is that the hair looks a little bit "square", but nothing too bad, also, it's nothing when you see how outstanding and well worked the character desings are Music and sound effects are just magnificent ("Change the World" is probabbly my favorite anime song), and very inteligent, since it's clasic japanese music with a modern touch The character are all amazing and very well developed, from InuYasha, the aggresive half-demon that starts to appreciate more his human part, to Kagome, the regular girl who learns to be braver and stronger and finds love in InuYasha, as well as their compains the perver monk Miroku, the naughty kitsune Shippo and the monster exterminatress Sango (I personally love how Sango is a strong woman, but doesn't lose her female style) The series is really enjoyable, since it has lots of comedy (like Kagome saying "Sit Down!" to InuYasha, and this being smashed in the ground by the juzu on his neck, or Miroku touching Sango in a lewd way), as well as because the emotion, the action in the fights where blood is welcome, and a plot very well done, sadly the original series finished airing with an open ending, but that's a little flow in lots of good things I'm not good at reveiws, as you can see, but I hope you liked my try to reveiw a series I just love a lot

Looking back to an anime that came out about 20 years ago, many people made unfair comparison over the currently running one as they are more flawless in many terms. However they should know that shows such as Inuyasha is the defining template for all other following anime. Anime such as Inuyasha takes a lot of time because it is not a fast pace ride but rather a more long term enjoyment. Back in the day people make cartoon and anime so that we can really enjoy it because we may have nothing much than just TV, some computer games and hang out with friends. Time has changed many things, including our habit of spending our freetime. Thus, anime has to develop quickly so that we can finish the whole story soon. But, believe me, if you have enough time to spend, please consider watching Inuyasha or Naruto. They are really good, especially when you have a relaxing mind, and can allow you to have a most fullfilment joy you ever had. Come back to the anime, I would say Inuyasha is truly a turning point for the anime industry at the time. Being both a fantasy, historic, magical, romantic, comedic and tragedic at the same time, rarely did I see a better representation of all the genres above. The music was amazingly well done that so far I cannot see any show could surpass it, even with kimi no nawa. Every OST is so easy to enjoy and bring back the great nostalgia that I had when I was watching them at the early age. The stody start slowly with light heart comedy, tragedic, romantic and adventurous but later turns very serious over the course of the series. Moreover, each episode features a completely different adventure that unique to each other, and unlock even more events to follow later as well. We may not burst into tears as the emotional moments was spread quite a lot in many episodes rather than being accummulated in a few last rides like Your lie in April, but when you finish watching it, the lesson would be carve into your heart for a life time. Inuyasha is truly a wonderful masterpiece that deserve the attention of the new generation. Finally, I just wish there could be some more material involve the consequence of the whole series, after Kagome come to live with Inuyasha. I would love to see that story and for sure pay to buy the manga and anime as well.

When you're a pretty new viewer of anime (like me), it can be hard knowing whether or not to watch an older series. Many people who may have left reviews for this show say they used to watch it as a kid, or saw it on Toonami. I am neither of these people. And, oh boy, was I glad to step out of my comfort zone for once. Story: 9/10 It has many Shounen tropes, yes. But that's not really a surprise coming from an early 2000's anime. But I think the best part about Inuyasha is how its similar, but completely different all at the same time. The story follows the adventures of a half-demon called Inuyasha, a girl from the future, Kagome, the pervert monk Miroku, the demon-slayer Sango, and the little fox demon Shippo. I'm not going to go into details about each character, but they are a very important part of the story. The group travels feudal Japan in search of the evil demon Naraku, who possesses the Sacred Jewel. Sounds pretty cliche, right? Yes, and no. What makes the story of Inuyasha so enjoying and fun to watch is the lore, along with the plot. It's so interesting slowly learning more and more about the human and demon world, and what happens when they collide. What exactly is a priestess? What can they do? Why is it a big deal Inuyasha's a half-demon? The story does slowly answer these questions, and they always do it amazingly. Perhaps the most interesting part of the story lies in the past. Fifty years before the main story of Inuyasha, the mystery surrounding Kikyo, Inuyasha, and Naraku is a great part of the story, both in enjoyment and significance. Art: 8/10 I wouldn't say the art was bad, but compared to other projects of the time, it could have been better. It doesn't distract from the show, but it would have been nice if the first season looked a bit better. By season six, the art greatly improved. The art style itself is very appealing, and has a very unique look. Sound: 8/10 There's nothing wrong with the sound in particular, but when you watch 167 episodes with the same soundtrack, it gets boring. You know its bad when you've memorized every track played in the series. The sound effects are also repetitive. Perhaps if the soundtrack was redone, even just once, it wouldn't feel as boring and repetitive. Character: 9/10 The characters is why I, and many others, love this show. All of them are relatable in some way. They all have some sort of quirk or gag that really makes them stand out. Really, I don't think I would have sticked through this entire series if the characters weren't great. That being said, with this many episodes, there's bound to be the bad ones. And there's a lot. Most of the villains are forgettable and bland, like a copy and paste. Almost every fight with one of these characters are the same. They're powerful, Inuyasha uses a new power, and beats them. Oh! I almost forgot some of the most important characters of the series. Kagome and Kikyo. I'm not going to spoil anything, don't worry. On the internet, you may find many differing opinions about these too. I'm going to try my hardest to keep my bias out of this review. Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo (which you find out in the very beginning of the show) and there you go, love triangle. The whole thing is just so... annoying. Anyways, both Kagome and Kikyo always played the damsel in distress role (mostly Kagome). We know they have incredible power, so why do they always have to be saved? This isn't considered a character flaw, it's just bad writing. Character development is something this series does amazingly well. Inuyasha, Kagome, and Kohaku are probably the best examples of this. If i were to watch the first episode right now, they'd seem like different people. You really see how they grow and change, and it feels great. Enjoyment: 10/10 Despite its flaws in the characters, plot, and media elements, I enjoyed the heck out of this show. I would constantly find myself staying up way too late just binge watching this, and I loved every second of it. Yea, Kikyo always annoyed me. Yea, the villains were boring. Yea, Kagome was useless like always. But it was still fun. Overall: 10/10 It's incredibly hard to pinpoint exactly what made me love this series, but if I had to choose something, it would be the characters. You can't help but love the main cast and root for them, and see what adventure they'll go on next. It's fast paced, and the fights and fun to watch. Inuyasha is the perfect show for a Saturday afternoon, to just relax and have a blast.

This show has to be without a doubt a classic anime. This show has everything from romance, comedy, and action to great villains, gripping story, and character development. That show is InuYasha. The story of InuYasha starts off with our main female protagonist Kagome Higurashi who has just turned 15 years old and is dragged into feudal Japan by a demon who wanted the Shikon Jewel. After that encounter she ends up in the forest of InuYasha and spots our half-demon main male protagonist sealed to a tree and removes the arrow that blinded him to said tree. Kagome gets confused with InuYasha's former love interest Kikyo, the former priestess who guarded the Shikon Jewel. After a series of events, Kagome shot an arrow at a demon bird who stole the shaken jewel and shattered the jewel into tiny shards. Now they are on a journey to collect the jewels shards and stop the notorious Naraku. There is a plethora of characters to talk about. Kagome is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo who can sense the shikon jewel and is a skilled archer. She has trouble balancing her life with InuYasha and the group and school life leading to hilarious comedy. InuYasha is a half-demon and loses his demonic power on the night of a new moon. He wields the mighty Tessaiga, a sword that can slay a thousand demons with a single swing. However, he can't really use it that well. He is very ill-tempered and childish and puts on a tough guy act, but actually cares about his friends. Now, to talk about the most badass villain in anime history... Naraku. This character is what people like in villains. He's manipulative, calculating, dark, and powerful. Not to mention what he did to InuYasha, Miroku, and Sango was just brilliant and set the standard for great anime villains. The animation for 2000 is actually pretty good. The action scenes are well done. I really love the voice acting in InuYasha. The English Dub is really good. My favorite voices are Richard Ian Cox as InuYasha, Moneca Stori as Kagome, David Kaye as Sesshomaru, and Paul Dobson as Naruku. They were some of the ones that stood out for me. The thing that shocked me about this show that I didn't realize until I re-watched is that it was really funny. When I watched this show when I was younger I didn't really catch up on the humor side of this show, Now that I'm older I can't stop laughing at the running gags in this show. My overall view of InuYasha is that it is a really enjoyable show to watch. Even though it's 167 episodes it's worth it. The show can get diverted from the journey to search for the shikon jewel to Kagome's life at home, but it makes for good comedy. InuYasha is a classic show and it's one of my first anime's I have watched next to Dragon Ball Z. So, I'm going to give it an 8/10 and highly recommend this show.

InuYasha was my very first anime, so it seemed appropriate that it would be the first review I ever wrote! I certainly enjoyed it for the entirety of its run, and although the conclusion wasn't satisfying, a few years later a continuation was produced under the title InuYasha: The Final Act. It picks up right where InuYasha left off. It was fun to also have a majority of the setting take place in feudal Japan, while part of it took place in present day Japan where Kagome attended school and spent time with her family. This show is far from perfect, but the characters, plot and music all drew me in. Story: The plot intrigued me from the beginning, and I enjoyed watching the conflict unfold over time. We're introduced to characters who are united in one goal because of some tragedies that happened in their lives. This made the story more believable and enjoyable to watch. Like most anime and manga being produced around the same time there were quite a few filler episodes, but nothing too bland to watch. I loved how the show could be dark and emotional but also quirky and humorous. The action scenes were well done and there was always a sense of peril for the characters, and sometimes defeating an opponent took several episodes or even had its own arc. There is a love triangle, which could get exasperating at times, but it had a good resolution that I think most people will be pleased with. Art: Considering this was made in the early 2000's, the art isn't half bad. You do get used to after a few episodes. There were some episodes where it looked like a different animation team was used though and the characters faces looked odd. Sound: The voice actors for both the original and the dub were great! Sometimes I can't stand the dubbed version of a show but InuYasha is very enjoyable in English. I especially thought InuYasha and Kagome's voice actors were well chosen. The music does get repetitive but it suits the show and the emotion of certain scenes. I love almost all of the opening and closing themes and they changed every 30 episodes or so, so there are a handful of them. Characters: I thought the character development was really well done. InuYasha and Kagome's relationship started out a little cliche, as in they hate each other but over time begin to develop feelings for one another. But they grow so much over the course of the series. At first, all InuYasha cares about is collecting the jewel shards and becoming a full demon. This perspective changes as he befriends each member of the group and becomes softer. Kagome is a strong heroine, and she's not afraid to put InuYasha in his place if need be. She is constantly putting others before herself, which does get her into trouble often, and usually InuYasha has to rescue her, but her heart is always in the right place. The lecherous monk Miroku, demon slayer Sango and cute but tough kitsune Shippo all have tragic pasts and each of them is fleshed out nicely throughout the show, which I loved. There are many more supporting characters that make appearances throughout the series that I think added a great dimension to it. Overall, the characters are what I loved best about InuYasha. Overall: This is a great show for anyone who enjoys adventure, romance, comedy, tragedy...it has a little bit of everything. I definitely recommend it and you have more than enough episodes to enjoy (167). The story that Rumiko Takahashi has created will draw you in from start to finish, but not without a few dull moments here and there. Give it a try! I'm sure you'll be entertained :)

Inuyasha:Overall review(Spoiler free) Inuyasha. An anime of a different breed. Appealing to a general audience, with a unique variety of elements. I started this anime as just a nice, casual anime to occupy my spare time, not expecting too much. 30 episodes in I was still unsure of where this anime was really taking me. Then I really started to notice character development was superb, and naturally slow as most people don't tend to change over night like some animes exaggerate(Always exceptions though ;D). A review can be really helpful when deciding to get into a 193 episode anime! Inuyasha has a nice way of unveiling introspective thoughts that reflect different personalities of thinking incoprorated into a brilliant anime. Everyone from the intellectual to the die-hard action oriented guru can get into this anime. It does start off rather slow, and the filler episodes do tend to keep key storyline details enveloped in them. I personally enjoy animes I can take something from, and Inuyasha has a lot to offer, parts that will make you reflect not only on the anime itself but, your own journey in life. This anime tends to be written off as romantic, but there really isn't much other than relationships occuring as if they would in real life. By chance(or in some cases fate, this is a fantasy setting). This is a rather action oriented anime, but the action isn't overdone nor in every episode. They find a unique way to ensure battles, and conforntation stays fluid and interesting. Sometimes, the knowledge of how they overcome an enemy is far more interesting than the battle itself. Most of the characters, even ones who are only around for a couple of episodes tend to be enjoyable, and attention to a characters personality is amazing. Characters seem to think so independently you'd swear each character's personality were being written by seperate individuals. Well, this was my first Anime review and I enjoyed Inuyasha so much I will be investing in the manga. Inuyasha has 193 episodes and 4 movies, the movies are seperate from the anime so enjoy whenever you like. I hope you find Inuyasha enjoyable, as much as I did or maybe even more! As a Whole, I give Inuyasha a 7.5 out of 10

Inuyasha, one of my all time favorite anime. Its a classic. And it will always be. Story: The plot of InuYasha was so original in my mind. It is something that if this anime didn't exist, i would never have thought of. Sure, a lot of anime have romance, a historical background and action but also many of those anime have based their stories off of inuyasha. Every episode was different and new, but at the same time was enjoyable. Never did i feel bored while watching this anime. There were so many different plot twists and so much drama and romance that it kept me wanting more. Art: At first, the art for the anime was good, it was not great, but it was fitting for the story. But later did i realize that the art had started to improve, and by the time i was around the 100th episode, the art was outstanding. The character design had become much more detailed and smooth and it made this anime more suitable to everyones taste. (i would still like it if it kept its old style too though). Sound: i ADORE the OST's for InuYasha. If you watch the episodes with more detail, you will notice how fitting each and every little song goes with what is happening in the episode. None of the music is too outrageous or unfitting for the scenes, but instead gives it more of an impact and makes it more memorable. The voice actors also did an outstanding job (that is for sub, i didn't enjoy dub very much though.) To conclude for the sound, the music left such an impact that you would remember all the scenes if you were to hear a specific song. Character: All of the characters for inuyasha were great. The villians were always clever or had something up their sleeve, and never were they too weak or stupid. (not including the non-serious "villians") Although there were several enemies on the stronger side, but those enemies are the ones who just pushed inuyasha and his companions to become stronger. Every character of this anime had an important part, whether it was to help realize true friendship, love, or courage. Also the attitudes and personalities of these characters just brought the anime all together. Although Kagome did subtly annoy me at times with her stubborn-ness, but alls well that ends well. Enjoyment: There were no episodes of which i was bored. Overall: Inuyasha was one of my first anime i had ever watched, and it will ALWAYS be a favorite.

I'll just say it, when I got into Inuyasha, I had to get up at like 3:00 in the morning so I could watch it and tape it. Mind you, this was when I was still in high school too. However; after seeing every episode of this show, I can say that it was totally worth it. As I continued to watch it, I came to realize that it was probably one of the most well thought of shows that we hadn't seen in a while. It's characters developed well, the Japanese art work was done well, the Japanese music, especially; the songs were just great; my two favorites being; Come, and Brand New World. It was very fun to enjoy and really loved. However; it did have it's flaws though I will say. There were times when it did have its real goofy moments, especially; when Shippo and Miroku came into the picture. The contestent arguering between Inuyasha and Kagome, while funny at times, kinda got a little out of hand, and the fact that Miroku was mainly a pervert was kind of a turn off, even though he was mainly built for comedy, but did have his serious moments. So yeah; the main characters were a little goofy but mainly serious. However; there were two other characters that I had no problem with at all and really enjoyed from their intro to the end. The first was Seshomaru! Though he was cold and devious like the main villian and not afraid to threaten his minion, Jaken and being very cold towards Inuyasha. He did begin to really develop when a new character named; Rin joined with him. But he's just a stooge compared to the chairmen of the board. Naraku, in my best opinion was not only a great villian, but is probably the best villian that I've ever seen in any anime show. He was everything that you'd want in a villian. He's mysterious, he's despicable, he's silent, he's diabolical, he's deceitful, he's cunning, he's classy, he's over the top, he's everything that you'd want to see in a villian. He also had a great design, had a great english actor for him, and what really made me like him was the fact that he wasn't afraid to kill off any of his henchmen at any time, because once you had finished your part of the plan it's; finger across the neck for ya. In other words, you dead, finished, panito. He was just so great, and I really loved of what a great villian he was. Inuyasha was a very different show for me, but overall; I greatly did enjoy it. It's another one of those shows that I intend to collect one day and watch it again and again.

Okay inuyasha was a really long anime and i wouldn't want to give it a try no matter what. Firstly, I am really afraid it's hard to find the episodes of inuyasha but i guess it was popular enough to find some sites to watch it. Secondly, I am kinda afraid i may dropped off the anime halfway. Guess I didn't, the whole story was quite simple and it's filled with fillers that don't really relate to the main plot but I guess these fillers serve as a subplot that actually support the whole story which isn't as bad I guess. So I shall give this story a 7/10. Though I wish those fights was elaborated better, its mainly whose stronger whose killed, if there was a little strategy to reasonate the fightings, it will definitely be better. For the art, I will give it a 6/10. I am definitely sorry to say but kagome ain't really drawn well and the way they drawn and portray her is totally like a spoilt brat.. seriously. I can't stand her most of the time. For the sound, I will be giving a 8/10 since I really like the op and voice acting so its not that bad after all. As for character development, i will be giving it a 9/10. I mean they could have better develop naraku instead of just being some soul who cannot find peace and hence regenerating forever... Also, as much as I enjoy this anime, I hope there will be more to elaborate the after life of what happen after the jewel shard is destroyed.

Inuyasha was a show I used to stay up late to watch on Adult Swim when I was a lot younger along with Wolf's Rain. I really liked it back then and it was my favorite show but when I watch it now.... To start out with the storyline is pretty good and it interests you for a little while but it really seems to drag on without too many differences between each episode, the only thing that varies is the people they meet. The character design for the main characters is pretty good but for the demons and such that Inuyasha and company come across the character development honestly kind of sucks. Everyone they come into contact with after a certain point is boring and 2D, at first you were interested as to who they would meet on their travels but there are only so many different variations of bad guys you came run into before they become awfully generic. I think it appealed to me as a kid because, when you're younger, you are entertained by bad guys, loud noises and just general mayhem and if that's what you're looking for then this is probably a pretty good choice for you. Inuyasha was my favorite show for a while but looking back on it.... it really wasn't anything too special at all.

InuYasha, masterpiece of Rumiko Takahashi, and the blend of Sengoku era action with romance is undoubtedly one the best and most popular anime of 2000s. The first season in particular is excellent as the idea of a time-travelling modern girl and the hanyou with their intricate past and future strikes a rapport with everyone. As the story progresses a set of great characters with deep pasts are revealed and the plot thickens. The fifth season in particular is one of the main turning point of the series with a nail biting suspense. But as the anime goes on, the story gets more dragged and a bit of ho-hum as the inu-gumi are way too busy pursuing their goal. On the whole it is a great series with consistently good character design and first class sound effects. Its theme score too is one of the best as the theme songs by the best singers (Ayumi Hamasaki, BoA, Namie Amuro, Do As Infinity etc.) keep changing as the mood of the series changes. All in all a memorable anime with an epic feel.

Inuyasha is a very good anime, especially in the beginning. But if you are one of those people who feels like they have wasted there time watching an anime that does not have a very satisfying ending I wouldn't recommend this to them instead read the manga since the anime ended before the intended ending of the manga (which is now finished). The comic relief is good and the filler episodes can be enjoyable. I really liked this anime and it remains at the top of my favorites list, it may not be a perfect anime but then again what would be a perfect anime for some probably should never see the light of day. Anyway I wouldn't recommend this for EVERYONE but I assure you most of you will find it enjoyable. (Theres alot of Bishies too! :)

This anime was my first so called "serious" anime that I started watching around the age of 10 (now I'm 25) and has a special place in my heart. It became an obsession that kept me fascinated and excited after every episode, wanting to know how the story develops and kept me constantly waiting for the following episode. the series is full of lovable and relatable characters, funny moment, beautiful character development and generally a show Id recommend kids watch. The nostalgia still resonates, even after more than a decade, and I can still rewatch the series (even though I watched it several times) and enjoy the episodes and the childhood memories it brings. inuyasha is such a great character- strong yet vulnerable, rude yet respecting, awkward but also confident, funny, badass, caring, protective, human but also a demon. this is by far my favorite anime of all time which always brings a smile... for me? inuyasha is NOSTALGIA-NOSTALGIA-NOSTALGIA!!

Inuyasha is one of my absolute favourite animes - one that I could sit through all 167 episodes without feeling bored the slightest, weeny bit. Inuyasha is fantasy, horror, tragedy, romance and comedy all rolled into one masterpiece. The story keeps me chasing from one episode to another as the protagonists collect(or lose) the shikon shards, new characters are introduced and the true face of the main antagonist was slowly unravelled. The characters are lovable and funny and the antagonists, though really badasses, can be quite pitiable. The story development is complex with two time zones and numerous characters yet it is easy to follow as the story is narrated clearly as the series progress, so it keeps you up to speed on who's who and what's happening. Each main & sub character is given a backstory so you can relate to them and are able to support each of them and their goals. Despite the tragic background this story is based on, Inuyasha also has humour peppered throughout the series and it's perhaps the funniest (and most fun) anime I've watched. This anime also has a happy ending which is my type. I recommend watching this anime with a coke and popcorn as it's going to be an extremely fun and enjoyable ride.

Well, first of all, this is my first review, what is fair, considering this was my first anime. And, as so, one of my absolute favourites. The story... I gave it a 7, so, good. I really liked the concept, the world that was build. A feudal era with fantasy. It`s very enjoyable. There are parts of the show that are funny, there are parts that are serious, there are romance scenes and the fight scenes. And the balance between all of these factors ends up being very good in my opinion. Many people must not thing so but why? Because of the main problem of this anime. The repetitiveness, that, for what I have been told, it`s the main problem of the shounen animes in general. The fight scenes start to get a bit overused, the jokes are used many times, the choice between Kagome and Kikyou starts to annoy you a bit. I don`t mind so much, since, as a said, it`s very commun. If you see an anime with more than 100 episodes you`re already suspicious of this "repetitiveness". But of course I penalized the story of Inuyasha because of this. The begginning is gorgeous, the middle is repetitive but, yet, good, and the end is kinda... an extension of middle, with no much climax. But I forgive this because there are a second serie, continuation of this one, with the "real end" The art in Inuyasha is very beautiful, in my opinion. This anime is kinda old, but has many beautiful traces in the characters. It`s easy to confuse some secondary characters, but there are so many, drawing them all different is a difficult challenge. I will give it a 8, for very good. Talking about the soundtrack now. Inuyasha has an amazing bunch of openings and endings, every one different of another. The soundtrack itself is good also, I still remember some characters themes. The music is so good, in fact, that I was between a 8 and a 9 here... and gave it a 9. The characters are between fair and good, 6,5. They are not copys of eachother and they have personality and even some development. But then, there are the negative points... everytime a character has some development... the next episode comes and put it all on the starting point. At least I feel it, especially on the romance of the principal couple and on the secondary couple. [Bit of a spoiler starts] Inuyasha can`t decide between Kagome and Kikyou and then makes a decision only for, a bunch of episodes later, be undecised again in the exactly same circunstances. The same happens to Miroku [End of spoiler] The character that had a visible and perfect development was Sesshomaru. Not so rushed, but it didn`t take unnecessary backsteps. Kagome had a kinda development also, is easy to identify with her, you see? Also Sango, she is strong and a lovely character. And sweet Rin, of course, I love her so much. Inuyasha and Miroku was the ones who was always doing the same mistakes once and once again. Also, I didn´t like the main villain. He is cruel and coward, and that`s o.k, but sometimes he did pointless things that got him exposed, I don`t remember concret examples, was so long ago i saw the anime. He is not a dumb villain we can laught of but there are no charm on him as an intelligent and manipulative villain. He is manipulative but... don´t know... something was lacking. He is not a character we look at and say... "DAMN, that was one unforgetable villain" [spoiler]Actually, I felt more conected to Naraku`s offsprings than to him itself (even Hakudoshi was better)[End of spoiler]. The enjoyment is a very good, a pure 8! I obecessed over the anime at that time and was sad when it ended. It`s an anime that I recomend, especially for young teenagers. But my dad enjoyed also so... free age, and a friendly anime for family! Total score: 7,6
