Inuyasha is a great anime, and if you like anime, this is definitely one you can't pass up. - STORY - 10 - It is quite an amazing and unique story. (Unique for its time anyways, but still) The synopsis is for that, but I have to tell you, it's awesomer than it sounds. - ART - 6 - IT was probably good for its time, but in this day and age, it is pretty bad (especially Kagome's hair it always bothered me.) It is easy to get used to though. - SOUND - 10 - It has amazing sound, and great openings. I really enjoyed the endings the most though. IT also had amazing background music. - CHARACTER - 10 - The characters were all amazing, and I loved all of them. - ENJOYMENT - 9 - I enjoyed most of it, although I really hated Kikyo (I think that's how you spell it.) I think it was a little too dragged out at the end, but once the Final Act starts, it gets amazing again. - OVERALL - 8 - IT was an amazing anime, but I wish it were a little shorter. I also wish they did more with the ending, but the Final Act made up for it. I'm glad they made it to sum it up.

I'll Preface this with a bit of personal honesty, I grew up with this show during my early years watching on Adult Swim back in 2002 at age 6 (against parental advisement) with my uncle, watching for over 10 years, with 190+ episodes by the end of its "Final Act" in 2013. so no duh I'm HEAVILY Biased when it comes to this Action Shonen. I watched it even more than most kids my age at the time had watched Pokemon, which is now considered a rite-of-passage by most early parents my age. But watching with the blinders-off, after all these years later it hasn't exactly aged well when compared even to Fullmetal Alchemist's first off-cannon run. -Story- Blinders-On: The story held well for me, with Inuyasha and Kagome growing in complexity as I did, gaining romantic subplots as my young mind was beginning to grasp the idea of truely loving a "stranger", yet keeping my young Carnage-obsessed mind distracted enough to keep me from questioning L-O-V-E too much or getting distracted by whatever was on the floor. The more disturbing and sexually suggestive things (Daemon Egg/Pearl in Sango's Vagina, various things involving tentacles) passed right over my head as a kid, though it contributed to things like the V-Chip to becoming standard in TVs back then. Blinders-Off: The story takes its own pace, often allowing for a level of distraction in a world with a very real Daemon problem. but at the same time it can get very filler-y at times, with nearly every other episode being a filler EP after the first 30 or so, varying from hardly noticeable to blatant filler where nothing much happens for 25 minutes and nothing develops in any way. The sexually suggestive moments today come off as a bit overtly perverted, with the previously mentioned Vagina Pearl episode bordering on censored pornography. -Art- Blinders-On: Not much to say for someone like me here, It was perfectly standard to me with few other points of comparison from the time frame and none that really WOWed me consistently enough to be above or below anything else, not particularly stand-out outside of a few episodes with epic landscapes that wowed me at the time. Blinders-Off: Today the art is substandard, under-detailed, and sometimes flatly colored, leaving something to be desired outside of the rare landscape shots filled with detail, presumably to prevent the viewer's eyes from wandering too much. -Sound- Even less for me to say here blinders on or off outside of the common absence of overlap between words and sound effects in the background... It was perfectly fine then and still is perfectly fine. no need to fix what isn't broken eh? -Characters- Blinders-On: The characters where fresh, and outside the clueless female protagonist first shown here in the USA in Sailor Moon, where completely unique to me and perfectly acceptably written, ignoring the awkward initial dynamic between our leading duo. Inuyasha was always cool but not infallibly so, sometimes showing his more personable side, Kagome was trustworthy but unlucky, sometimes creating hilarious moments with monsters and double-entendres. Blinders-Off: Today, the archetypes used for Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango have been beaten to a sometimes literal death by the new blood coming into the Anime industry having also grown up with Inuyasha&Co., using copyright-dodging stand-ins with more boring designs to echo the characters into their own works. the occasional filler Inuyasha episode will pick at the characters, revealing details about them previously unexplored, leaving no stone unturned by the ending. some details, and by extension episodes, being more mundane than others. -Appeal- ("Enjoyment"? The level of being able to be enjoyed? Lets go with Appeal.) Blinders-On: This appealed highly to my young mind and continued to far into my teens. The action, the characters, the twin settings, it was all perfect in my mind back then and to this date I have trouble critiquing it honestly on its faults and merits. Blinders-Off: It's very dated, if it where made today people would call it a bland mashup of well abused character archetypes, settings, and attacks that will have far outstayed its welcome. completely bypassing the taboo 50-episode limit most modern anime set for themselves. -Begin American Anime Otaku Rage- creating major plot points then commuting seppuku all over the place, before they *dare* have any negative impact on the LN/Manga they now exist purely to sell, though those things never make it to America, and the episodes will sell for exorbitant amounts in box sets with far more Blu-Ray discs than they have any right to come on for being a sub-50 episode run, it is expensive bullshit that has no right to exist. -American Anime Otaku Rage End- -Conclusion- Overall, Its a great anime that had a lot of great ideas and story telling for the time, but today it would never survive the expectations of the modern anime buff thanks to being the most heavily copied from anime ever. If you want to know where the most infamous and abused tropes in anime came from give it a go. otherwise please let my darling Inuyasha rest... The years where hard on him. :,( (Scores based on the most unbiased opinion i can provide comparing Inuyasha to modern anime, though there's probably still a bit of bias there. my true bias-included score would likely be solid 10s)

I've seen Inuyasha 2 times all the way through and it's still pretty damn good. This is a great starter anime. It has action, romance, comedy, and an easy to follow story. It is a fun watch at any age, and fans of any gender can really enjoy it. There is plenty of action watching InuYasha battle blood thirsty demons and chase after the villain Naraku. And even my guy friend got caught up in the romance stories. I remember watching as a young teen and being totally caught up in the love triangle between Kikyo, Kagome, and Inuyasha. Now as an adult I have to say Inuyasha is a total idiot, but there is some how a charm to watching all these misguided characters work together and struggle with their feelings. My second time watching was basically the realisation that Sesshomaru, Inuyasha's half brother, is 100 times cooler and would make a much better main character.

"Wow... like Dog ears.." I have to say InuYasha is the anime that I go back to time and time again. Its my blankey of anime. Its a love story crossing the spans of time and follows closely the lives of two people who couldn't be more different. Its starts when school girl Kagome falls down the ancient well in her family's shrine. There she stumbles across InuYasha, a dog demon who was bound to a tree. Kagome manages to awaken the sleeping demon. As a result of a nasty attack from Mistress Centipede, Kagome discovers she carries the Shikon Jewel, which she later manages to shatter into a thousand pieces, which fly across feudal Japan. This begins an unlikely partnership between human and demon as they attempt to track down the shikon jewel shards. Along the way, they meet some hilarious characters, some who join them in their search. Other characters include the evil Naruku, a sexy, silent and murderous older brother and a long dead Shrine Maiden. What I love about this anime are the characters, the biggest part of this anime is the character development. InuYasha is a snarky dog demon with a tragic backstory. Throughout the anime we get to watch him grow and learn to love again. Miroku the leacherous monk has to be my second favourite character. Not only does he get all the great perverted lines in the series but we also get to watch him fall in love and struggle between his desire for his love and his destiny. As much as I love this anime, it does have it's downside. Kagome's constant screaming out to Inuyasha would be way up there on my list. I can't say I love the female characters in this series. Sango constantly betrays the group and Kagome continually needs rescuing by Inuyasha. Not a great anime if your wanting your females to be kick ass and rescuing the guy! My advice, pick a long weekend and grab a warm blanket, popcorn and enjoy!

I never really got to watch Inuyasha that much when I was a kid. I only recently just got around to finishing it. All I can really say is, I'm sad I never got to see it sooner. This is a classic work of art. The story had me hooked from the very beginning. The simplicity of the story is perfect. Definitely an essential anime that needs to be watched by beginners and long-time viewers. The characters work beautifully with each other and the soundtrack is iconic. My only issue was that it adheres to a single story line the entire 167 episodes and in Inuyasha: The Final Act. A few sub-plots here and there but nothing that isn't related to the main story. Overall, a great anime and a must watch.

Inuyasha sticks out as a series that mostly doesn't stick to conventional elements of a long-running shounen title. This series is more of an adventure title in its focus on Kagome and Inuyasha begrudgingly having to partner up in gathering shards of a powerful jewel called the Shikon no Tama whose power is sought by both humans and demons alike to amplify their abilities or make their wishes a reality. The two come to bond better with one another throughout the course of the series and come to gather several allies who join their cause in gathering the jewel shards and later coming to blows with the manipulative villain, Naraku, who is also on the hunt for the shards. Drama, romance and comedy are also mixed into the story with its focus on the varying character relationships, interactions and backgrounds that are explored throughout the course of the series. Inuyasha offers up a good amount of exploration on its feudal era world and the characters that inhabit it, with the series being mostly inspired through Japanese folklore and historical events from the Sengoku era. The plot is somewhat standard as Kagome and Inuyasha track down more jewel shards, encounter various locales affected by either demon attacks and/or the Shikon Jewel, gain new allies who assist in their adventure and eventually coming to grips with Naraku. The story is well-paced for the most part as it doesn't take its time with battles as most shounen titles tend to do nor does it speed through events just to progress the plot, as many points in the series have their role to reveal more about elements to the plot or characters besides shifting things in another direction or making a surprise plot twist. The only shortcomings to the plot for this anime adaptation are the title's tendency to milk filler episodes that do nothing in advancing the plot (notably shown for a decent stretch after episode 80-81ish) for the most part, having long recaps at points throughout the show's run and the lack of a proper finale since the first series concluded during the middle of its manga source material's run. Characterization is one of Inuyasha's strongest areas as many of the prominent characters in the series are fleshed out enough for you to understand their backgrounds, personalities, relations with other characters and possible connections they have to Naraku and the Shikon Jewel. A number of characters deal with tragic developments thanks to Naraku and/or the Shikon Jewel and characters gradually undergo developments where their abilities, personalities and beliefs improve throughout the course of the series. For instance, Sesshomaru is shown to undergo some of the more significant changes to his character throughout the course of the series in regards to his treatment of humans; the love triangle with Inuyasha, Kikyo and Kagome is a rather complicated one due to their ongoing struggles against Naraku and Inuyasha's past history with Kikyo; and Naraku makes for an intriguing villain who exploits the emotional baggage of much of the cast for his personal gain and is responsible for much of the tragic developments that befall the major characters in the series. Visually, the series is a bit of a mixed bag. Scenery and character designs are solid as they sport clean details and vivid color, with some unique designs for many of the demons seen throughout the series. However, animation is quite subpar with frequent use of animation shortcuts such as speed stripes, still shots and reused animation frames getting employed. Noticeably, hand-drawn animation is employed for the title's first 98 episodes and then moves to digital animation from episode 99 and onward, with occasional use of CG animation employed for attack animations or renderings of elaborate effects. The music for the series is mostly memorable sporting opener, closer and insert tracks that are very fitting for comical, dramatic and tense moments throughout the show's run, though insert tracks do get repetitive with time due to lack of variety and later opener/ closer songs milk use of generic or upbeat J-pop songs that aren't very fitting to an adventure title like Inuyasha. Overall for all its hype from my early years as an anime fan, I'm actually a bit surprised with how solid Inuyasha is for a long-running shounen title. It is a mostly solid adventure title that also mixes elements of comedy, drama and romance with how the Shikon Jewel effects Inuyasha and his allies in their journey, whose shortcomings mostly only come from its manga source material still being ongoing throughout the anime's entire run. If you're a big shounen anime fan, this is likely a title worth looking into.

Kagome a young girl who is a reincarnated preistess falls into a well and goes back into time. She meets a half demon half human named Inuyasha which hates her at first because she looks like a long lost loved he thought betrayed him. From there Inuyasha and Kagome start on an adventure of trying to obtain jewel shards and making inuyasha into a full fledged demon. They come across a demon named Naraku that not only steals jewel shards and creates a lot of trouble for them but may have been the very person who pitted Inuyasha and the priestess against each other. I liked this series I just didn't like the love triangle that continued to go on through out the whole show. The other characters were deep and their interaction between each other had some significance. The series ended some years ago and then we had to wait years to actually get to see the end result of not only love triangle but the whole Naraku situation. So after you watch this series I would suggest checking out the other so you can see the ending. There are those who complain about Inuyasha but I ended up really liking the story and the characters.

My all time favorite anime! Wonderful story filled with multi-genres... comedy, action, romance, fantasy, historical fiction, tragedy, etc. I tried to find an inuyasha equal, but it is impossible. Some episodes are better than others though. Lagging may occur but not for long and usually it picks itself up with an amazing comeback. I have yet to find a story that contains as much excitement as this and still not fall apart. I recommend it. Once you start you will hate to finish.

This possibly could have been a small group of person’s D&D adventure. It has all of the basic classes needed for a generic D&D group (Priest - Kagome, Monk - Miroku, Warrior – Inuyasha and, Ranger – Sango). Inuyasha is about a group of strangers who ban together and take on a long quest to save Feudal Era Japan from the evil clutches of the demon Naraku. As the group proceeds on their journey they encounter many obstacles that test their abilities as individuals and as a team. This series provides several cool fights, interesting encounters, and moderately deep character development. There are also a several very cheesy moments, and dialogue isn’t Inuyasha’s strong suit. At times progression of the show can seem rather slow especially towards the middle of the 167 episode (The Final Act is constant action and moves at a rather fast pace.). Overall Inuyasha is a fun and even humorous at times anime series that is easy to get into and watch.

I would be straight and to the point except I am incredibly torn about this anime. It is incredibly popular, particularly due to its run on cartoon and in the end I have to say it is one of my favorites, despite its many shortcomings. So the reasons I hate/love this anime are: (mild spoilers below) Negatives: Inuyasha - He is not a great lead character. By and large I find him annoying. To be fair, there are some very good story lines with him, particularly the struggles with his demon half taking over, but I tire of the tough guy idiot who by force of will wins again and again (I don't like Bleach for that reason as well). Chippo - I am not a fan of the wasted space of the "cute" charachter. He adds nothing of value to this show. Jakken - see chippo above. He also makes rin a more annoying character as if she had no one to banter with I would believe her more. Endless fillers - There are several episodes they oculd have cut out Too much gag humor - I don't mind gag humor, but there is certainly too much and it isn't all that funny. Positives - Sango - great character in general with very good storyline with her brother. I absolutely love those stories. Kohaku is an interesting as well for the same reason Kikyo - one of the most fascinating concepts in anime. I am not weighing in on any "debates" over who was better for inuyasha, as that is asinine. Her tragic character as someone not quite alive anymore, full of a hollow love, a desire to do good but needing to stay alive with stolen souls. All of the storylines that revolve around her are good. She also makes Kagome more interesting, although a negative is that sometimes that can get old. Naraku - An excellent villain. I have to give the dub a shout out because the dubbed Nuraku is chilling. He is both evil and complex, shackled by love but driven by hate and ambition. Really interesting. He also highlights for me why I the character inuyasha is dissappointing. Other villains - I like Kagra as a character especially as she develops over time nd hakudoshi is just freaky and evil. Soundtrack -Sango's theme, kikyo's them, hakudoshi's theme, even kagome's theme at times are very pretty. If this anime were cut in half it would be excellent. One reason I really like the Inuyasha final act series is because they had to condense the story.

Gateway Drug, noun- A habit-forming substance whose use may lead to the abuse of drugs that are more addictive or more dangerous. In theory,a substance such as marijuana, which is easily available, less expensive, and more socially acceptable than harder drugs such as cocaine. Inuyasha is a gateway anime. The series is easily available, it's been shown endlessly on Cartoon Network, merchandise can be found at your local mall, games and videos at any rental chain, and both manga and anime at your local library. To fill in the gaps of missed episodes, one turns to the manga. Catch up on part of the story, and you pick up another series to fill the time, then another, and soon you're a member of this site. The same can be said of other series, Bleach, for instance, but Inuyasha is different. The plot of the series is, frankly, only so so. Good guys and bad guys vie for control of magic item. Could be the second season of Fullmetal Alchemist, could be Lord of the Rings. More annoyingly, as the series ended when it caught up to the manga-only half done at the time-there's no conclusion. However, this is also what makes it so easy to be slowly reeled in. It doesn't matter very much if you don't see the episodes in order, or miss handfuls at a time. The characters don't really change and are always easily identifiable, short flashbacks fill in any really pertinent information, and while an arc might last a few episodes, things are returned to the status quo before beginning again. Haphazardly is perhaps the best way to watch. When one sits down and views entire seasons in a row, the result is less satisfying. The shear repetitiveness: search for shards/Naraku, huge fight, eveyone nearly dies, they all get away, rinse, repeat...it gets to be mind-numbing. And that leads to thoughts like "How many times can you survive being stabbed through the chest, even if you are half-demon?" or "Just how much property damage has the mutt caused in this battle?", a level of scrutiny best not applied to most popular works of fiction. As with all culturally pervasive things, there will be those who cannot stand the series, and those who cannot bear to hear a word against it. Reality usually lies somewhere in the middle. But thanks to Inuyasha, many of us have moved on to explore the wider world of anime, manga and j-pop, and for that, the series deserves some credit.

Story: 8/10 Art: 10/10 Sound: 10/10 Character: 7/10 Enjoyment 10/10 Overall 9/10 If you are looking for an anime for some fine ass vibes, than this one is right up your alley. Rumiko Takahashi is one of my favorite manga arts ever. I love her style, & this anime shows that. The ed's are some of the best I've ever heard, the soundtrack couldn't be anymore perfect, & the beautiful feudal setting with all the tree's & mountains just scream far east. Shippo & Miroku are by far my two favorite characters, because Shippo is just your average cute little bastard, & Miroku is just a very entertaining wholesome dude who knows when to be serious & knows when to be freaky. And on top of that, this show does censorship the right way, because with most 12 episode long anime being teased with censorship always pissed me off, but with this show, the censored fan service doesn't bother me 1 bit, because you get so invested into what's happening on the story, that you don't care if the fan service sucks. Overall, its a great, fantastic, fun, & enjoyable Shonen with some of the best music I've ever heard, & some of the greatest vibes.

*WARNING: THIS REVIEW MAY OR MAY NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED* Story 7/10 Kagame is a normal high school girl. Her normal life ends when one day a demon drags her into a well where she ends up in Feudal Japan. While in Feudal Japan, she meets a half-demon, half-human breed known as Inuyasha. Inuyasha seeks to use the Shikon Jewel to become a full-fledge demon. As they fight a demon, Kagome shoots an arrow through the demon (the demon ate the Shikon Jewel and Kagome shot an arrow in order to kill it) and the Shikon Jewel shatters. Together, Kagome and Inuyasha must travel Feudal Japan in order to retrieve the shards in order to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. The story gets repetitive at times, which is why I took points away, but it didn't bother me, but I know it bothers a lot of people. Art 9/10 The art is great. It's very nice and has a warm and family/kid friendly feel to it. 'Nuff said. Sound 7/10 The soundtrack is nice. For me personally, the kind of music they played isn't really for me. But overall, they did a good job with the soundtrack Character 9/10 What makes Inuyasha truly special is its characters. The interactions between Kagome and her companions are just a lot of fun to watch. Also, the interactions between Sesshomaru and Rin is just so adorable to watch. I just wish they developed Naraku (the main villain) more. Like, I understand he is a person who isn't suppose to have a lot of emotions, but I just wished they showed a bit more of his internal struggles. I mean, they gave Kaguya a character development but the rest of Naraku's minions, I also wished they somewhat gave them some development. Enjoyment 7/10 Overall, this anime is a fun watch. I really enjoyed the anime because of its characters, despite that the story isn't all that great. Overall 8/10 Inuyasha is a great anime if you're looking for some fun character interactions. I really enjoyed the anime and by the end of Inuyasha: The Final Act (after you finish this series, go watch Inuyasha: The Final Act; it is a continuation of this series) I wanted more. The show was so much fun to watch that I just wanted to see more. Thanks for reading. Let me know your thoughts on this review and any feedback you may have for me. Until next time!

Characters Inuyasha: I like his hair and ears. Glad i got that out of the way. He is pretty strong he can fight without his his sword. Inuyasha is possibly one of the most powerful demon out there. At first he kinda a jerk who keeps to himself. Near the end of the series you see his heart of gold shine through. Kagome: Is annoying! This girl has nothing going on other than “SIT BOY” and “Inuyasha!” She is such a one note character who is too dependant on Inuyasha. She has her moments but they are too few and far in between. She is loyal I will give her that much. I feel so and for inuyasha sometimes. Whenever she feels upset she will take it out on him. Sometimes Inuyasha does deserve it but still. Sango: She is a strong capable demon slayer which I admire in female heroes these days. It’s weird to see a girl who can’t hold her own. Sango has a little brother named Kohaku who is being mind controlled by Naraku. She is determined to get her brother back alive. Sango is still a complex character with goals. I love her Hiraikotsu as weapon. The creator is so imaginative when it can to powers and weapons. It does take place in the Feudal times so swords are still a main focus. Miroku: He is sooo perverted. He is also touching Sango or Kagome. He is a man-hoe but I guess back then it was called being lecherous. It does get a little old especially when you sit through the whole show which is 167 episode plus the Final Act. He has a wind tunnel curses in his right hand that will eventually suck him into nothingness. The wind tunnel curse is unique without being ridiculous or very complicated. His character plot is steady throughout the show. Shippo: Shippo is useless. Sharpen your pitchforks after the review is done. I get it if they needed a cute character to distract the viewer from all gore. But heaven sakes make them useful in dangerous situations! All Shippo does is scream and yell for other characters! The only thing he could do was warn characters about incoming threats. Happy from Fairy Tail is what Shippo should have been like: small but resourceful. Sesshomaru: Sesshomaru is the biggest badass I have ever seen in anime! He is really strong. He never displays any form of emotion on the battlefield. He has a servant name Jaken and a companion named Rin. His overall disposition is silent, cold, killer. He is definitely the most powerful character in series. I wish they made him speak more and I will explain that in an upcoming review. Koga: He is a rival for Inuyasha. He is constantly proclaiming his love for Kagome. He is the leader of the wolf demon tribe. He is not in the show often but when he is, it’s a fight between him and Inuyasha. Naraku: He is the main villain of the show. He wants all the jewel shards Kagome has and will stop at nothing to get them. However for the main villain he is rarely in the show. Naraku practices dark demonic magic allowing him to create several incarnations of himself: Kagura and Kanna. There are many others in each plot line. He also makes deals with other demons to steal the jewel shards from Kagome. After all that aside he is a very boring villain. He does not fight the main heroes. We don’t get to learn about him other than a boring back story which get repeated throughout the whole freaking show! BAD! He is cunning and very powerful though. Kikyo: Kikyo is an intelligent and powerful priestess. She is the preincarnation of Kagome. She was the one who sealed Inuyasha to the tree 50 years ago. Kikyo is an important in helping defeat Naraku because her spiritual power is far greater than Kagome’s. Story Cons: The story was a good story but it got way too repetitive. They kept going with the jewel shards arc for the longest time. It was sad because I wish we could have seen them fight within different plot points other than Naraku. It was dragged out much longer than it needed to be. Kikyo and Inuyasha’s back story shows up way too much. Another thing I don’t like is that they scream each other’s names too much. It gets cringey when they call someone’s name and then that person calls their name. I get old fast. Another thing is that they LOOVVEE to narrate what’s going on screen as if we can’t see for ourselves. This can be done well like in some shows where you may not understand what’s going on like in Fairy Tail or Death Note. There are too many villains in this show that makes them forgettable. Pros: This show loveable characters. They are very developed and all have individual goals as well as personal. The action is good I love seeing inuyasha use the wind scar. I never get tired of it. He does gain many other techniques which is cool. Humour was funny especially the fights between Koga and Inuyasha. The musical score was GENIUS! Kaoru Wada is the best composer ever! Some interesting mini villains (The band of seven, Hakudoshi, Kagura and Kanna) The screaming of battle moves that seems to annoy my friends makes the show more memorable to me. When you ask a kid about Inuyasha they are probably going to yell out “Iron Reaver Soul Stealer”. It gives the show more character. I also love when Inuyasha spends time in the modern era because he is so out of place. After everything I’ve said, Inuyasha burns my heart like a candles in the dark. It scarred me with all the characters, the lessons, and the fights. The show taught me many things about life even though the main character is a half demon with a bad temper. Despite its flaws, Inuyasha is a very memorable series. Rate 4 out of 5 Recommend for all ages TheTangyFlower: https://thetangyflower.wordpress.com/

This is just a really bad soap opera with good music. This is also the first anime where I hate all the main characters and cheer for the bad guy to win. That's how bad it was. This review might contain spoilers. I don't think it dragged too long. I mean when you think about the current ongoing anime like Case Closed and Pokemon, at least this long anime had an actual plot that actually wrapped up. Naraku and Sesshomaru are the only reasons I watch this anime and even now when I go back to rewatch episodes, it has to have one of both of those characters otherwise, I won't bother. That's how annoying Inuyasha's group is. I don't get how Kagome is such a likable character. The creator tried so hard to put her in a good light, almost like she is a saint. For example, when Kanna makes her debut and sucks souls, Kagome's can't fit into the mirror because "it's too big". The infant tries to find darkness in her heart and it is very, teeny, tiny that she is jealous of Kikyo. She finds her love's interest dead lover in a river and is given the choice to save her and quickly says yes. Okay, we get it. She's the absolute best person in the world with no flaw at all! Oh, wow, what a catch! Too bad she has such an annoying voice. Her catchphrase is literally INUYASHA!!!! She's the most annoying character on the show. Shippo adds nothing to the story and sometimes I feel like Sesshomaru doesn't add anything either. After episode thirty or forty something, you mostly see him in episodes where he is just walking or standing. Koga never added anything to the story except another stupid rivalry for a stupid chick. For someone who is a demon, why do you need the jewels in your leg to run at the same speed of a demon? I never understood that. Aside from the characters, there were a lot of filler episodes which made no sense. Some would be to retell Inuyasha's past with Kikyo and others would just show them goofing off such as Jakken's Plan to Steal Tetsaiga. There was no point to them and it made me wonder if they were serious at all about their quest. All this made me cheer for Naraku. Well, at first it was his good looks but the annoyance with the heroes came soon after. I did really feel bad for Sango and Miroku. Couldn't care less what he did to Inuyasha. I know bad guys never win ut I really wish he did in this case.

I must say that Inuyasha is a good anime. I like how the writers spend so much time developing the story and the characters, but this is also Inuyasha's major flaw. The plot keeps on dragging for quite some time, which can get tedious at times, however the art style and the general plot is still good. The writers indeed have spent numerous episodes to introduce the characters and the plot, and they do a great job. The story is easy to follow, meaning that there are few to no subplots and side stories. The art style is very detailed, meaning it expresses and introduces the characters very well. 8.8/10

In terms of what I think about this anime, I believe my opinion would be weaker than others who have done so, mostly due to the little time that I have spent and reasoning for starting at the year 2016. I have always believe that it was a good anime ever since it came out from the year 2000, but what stood at for me what the character Kikyo who tragic history I felt sympathy for was the reason why I avoided this anime yet yearn to see it. The anime as a whole at this current day and age is probably not as good in comparison to the new anime. For instance, it is repetitive, it is not as gorely as the author of the manga desired(manga having severed limbs) and some characters ex: Kikyo are definitely more hated than necessary compare to its original work. However, as a 90's anime(sort of), it definitely has the appeal that most people who have watched anime in the past desire such as great openings/endings, the originality of storyline despite it being Power Ranger like at certain points and much less "fanservice". While I love today's anime, I hate how they portray women of exaggerated figures which kills the story and uses the sex appeal as a plot. By the end of it, you are not fully satisfied, but want understand Inuyasha a lot more better, I would suggest watching the "Final Act" of Inuyasha or just read the manga. The "Final Act" I know is a bit rushed, but there are much less fillers which one would be aware of after watching 160ish episodes of season 1 and more interesting. It also contains the scene which I will not forget since it motivated me to watch the whole series from start to finish. Again this review may not be the best one, but I just felt like writing it to show my passion for one of the older animes from adult swim what storytelling was sort of like in addition to characters that portray more than sex appeal or overpower abilities.

This anime is probably my favourite anime of all time, with an amazing cast of characters and great story to tell. I fell in love with this anime through the first 5 episodes and I immediately added it to my favourites. The anime supplies with you with an abundance of humor, romance, action and very engaging story. Inuyasha is definitely on my list of my top 10 favourite anime characters of all time. He is hilarious, moody, rude, I'm always engaged in every scene he is in and I love watching his interactions with other characters, especially our main character Kagome. His character development throughout the anime is outstanding to watch. I love all the characters in this anime and even some of the villians. Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Kagome and Inuyasha are the one of the best pack of friends I've seen and I enjoy every scene when all of them are interacting. This anime does have character immunity I won't say that they don't get into risky situations because they DEFINITELY do, but if there wasn't character immunity I'd be very upset so it works perfectly well with this anime. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

The best anime I've seen, to date. Story: Solid. We're taken along for the ride with this loveable gangs adventure. We laugh and cry with them. As with almost every episode we learn something new about the team and are indulged deeper into their lives. Art: Great! I give an anime little time if I can't stand the art style. As with most great Anime's, the art just got better. Initially, I didn't like how Inuyasha's and Kagome's hair was drawn and thought Inuyasha's outfit (which is actually made fun of by the other characters) was horribly garish but after falling in love with this anime I came to like it all. Sound: Good. Theme songs catchy but not ones to add to my all time favourites. Inuyasha's VA is perfection. Characters: You really fall in love with all of them and I think even the supporting cast are given worthy back stories and thus their developments were really interesting. There was not one character I could say had a weak/uninteresting story. Enjoyment/Overall: Amazing. Give it a go.
