Rosario to Vampire

Rosario + Vampire

Overall the series was good, it had a few obvious downturns but it was nonetheless fun to watch. Cons Probably the two worst things about the series are the repetitiveness and the awkward cliche's that follow in every, and i mean EVERY, 'action' scene. All combat is exactly the same, from initiation to dialogue and the combat styles of each character. Not only that but the romance dialogue gets very cliche and repeats the same scenes many times over for no real reason. Characters will just open up 'lovey-duvey' dialogue mid combat that can stretch for up to and over 20 seconds and completely neglect their opponants who just sit their and wait in a painfully obvious way. Pros The character development wasn't bad and the art is very easy on the eyes. Theirs nothing special about the main character, hes easily relate-able to the average but is fairly unique when compared to many protagonists of similar titles. The comedy in Rosario + vampire was quite entertaining and had some parts where i could have giggled like a school girl. Overall the series was pretty good but is only worth watching if you have the time, its not something you should go out of your way to watch.

I love the manga Rosario + Vampire so it's not possible for this to surpass it, however it did come close. For anyone who liked the manga, this is a good anime to watch. The characters were well developed and funny and i don't see why other reviewers have said they are sterotyped. I admit Tsukune is a bit of a wimp, but isn't that the fun of watching it? The sound and the theme is exciting and lively, and add to the overall enjoyment of it. The only things i can say i didn't like is the fact tsukune didn't use his vampire abilities as much as he did in the manga, but this doesn't matter for people who haven't read it. Overall Rosario + Vampire is an above average anime with lots of action and romance.

This series is definitely for boys. There are boob and butt shots everywhere. The storyline become predictable rather quickly and the humorous scenes become redundant. I had a hard time making it through this series, getting bored often, if you're a dude you'll be fine but if you're a woman beware, you could get bored. Plus side, I heard the manga is better.

I watched this relatively early on during my first proper exploration of anime [some time between 2008 and 2012?], before I had a handle on different genres. This may actually have been the first ecchi and harem anime that I ever watched, and like virtually all anime in those genres, it was fucking garbage. Postscript: This website won't allow me to post this review until I add "more information" and offers several cues to that effect, so allow me to elaborate upon my above-outlined thesis: "Is the story unique?" The story was shit. "Do you think the art style is fitting for the story?" The art was mediocre. "Were the characters well-rounded?" The characters were shit. "Did the characters react to situations and events in a realistic way?" The characters were shit. "Do you think others will enjoy/dislike this series, even if you didn't?" Of course. "Why?" The Leyton Thesis.

The amount of positive reviews on this anime is insane. This is easily the worst anime i've ever watched and i sat through it all just to make sure it definitely is. It's just another generic slice of life harem anime that takes place in a school setting with boring 1 dimensional characters and ESPECIALLY useless female characters that just are there for fanservice and that basically is what this anime is about. Its basically a really toned down and soft core version of hentai. Heck, I'd seen hentai with much better plot, story, depth to the characters than this piece of garbage. This anime is so bad that it's actually kind of funny. It's just that laughably bad and boring. If you're planning on watching this, dont, just read the manga. The anime adaptation just ruins an already pretty bad manga and makes it even worse than it already was. There's not much to say about the characters or the stupid plot. The main character who i already forgot what his name was, i think he was called tsukune, idk. But he's basically your generic clueless high school kid main character that gets all the bitches for some reason even though there's nothing particularly good about him lol. He doesn't even have a long schlong or anything and is just so dull. They basically just sexually assault and seduce him because he is just that pathetic, weak and very easy to take advantage of as a person. He is after all just a normal wimp in a school full of demi humans that can turn into monsters. Everything in this anime is so half assed its just laughable. From the main character's back story to the reason why he moved to this school full of monsters in the first place. There's not much to laugh about at this anime other than it is really bad and the jokes are so unfunny that you laugh at it for being so unfunny. There's also like a 1000 panty shots every episode for some reason, too much useless fanservice that doesnt make sense. High school dxd probably handles fanservice better, though i've never even bothered to touch that anime either. The character designs are the only thing "decent" here. Alot of reused animation and the art style, well it is a 2008 anime after all so it is pretty outdated but not the worst i've seen. Anyway, im not gonna waste anymore of my time because you probably get the point about why this anime is really bad and why you should avoid it if you're looking for an anime that is ACTUALLY interesting. But if you're looking for an anime with alot of fanservice without any actual plot, this anime is for you, but it isnt even the BEST at doing that! High school dxd apparently has higher ratings and probably shits on this anime.

EDIT: I made a video review of Vampire recently on my Youtube channel. If you'd rather watch it in video format instead of reading it then check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWgUwrnBLK4 Today I'm going to be reviewing Rosario Vampire, an anime that for about a year was my all time favorite anime, but now thats clearly not the case anymore. If you've already seen the series I'm sure you're most likely confused by my score but there's a reason for that which I'll obviously get to. I want to get this out quick and just say that Vampire isn't some sort of hidden gem or underrated classic, so if you were expecting me to go into detail explaining that then I'm sorry to disappoint you. The manga is genuinely great however, and I would recommend that to a lot more people then I would for the anime. The anime and manga are DRASTICALLY different, infact season 2 of the anime doesn't even count as an adaptation of the manga since literally nothing from it comes from the source material. Season 1 has a lot of the same characters and some episodes are faithful but after that it becomes an entirely different series. Anyway, I don't usually do this but this is going to be a sort of biased and nostalgia filled review. I'm clearly heavily nostalgic for this series but I'm going to try my best to point out the series' flaws but will also give it some genuine praises if I can. Also this is a review for both seasons, there's some pros and cons to them both but overall they're pretty much the same in terms of quality. Also I'm sure no one will care for spoilers since there isn't anything big to spoil besides the endings of both seasons but I guess I'll give out a spoiling warning, for the anime, I won't be spoiling the manga. Story: 7 Rosario Vampire is "supposedly" an adaptation of the manga which focuses on Tsukune, a human, transferring to Youkai Academy which is a school for all types of monsters. There, the monsters teach and learn just like a regular school except they're all monsters and one rule that they're supposed to follow is to not expose their true monster form. It's a simple concept that works but the one rule about revealing their monster form is never followed so it doesn't really matter after a few episodes into the show since no one suffers any consequences for revealing their form. Season 1 spends a lot of its episodes on character introductions with only a few on just random "filler" which are episodes 4,5, and 8. They aren't pointless such as in the mermaid episode where we find out that Moka can't go into water without placing herbs and other ingredients in since water purifies vampires. But yes, a majority of season 1 is establishing characters into the series and thankfully all the character intro episodes are very enjoyable. This goes for the whole series but the quality of the episodes are fairly similar. There are some that are weaker but they're still solid episodes and none are bad. Episodes such as Mizore's introduction, the season 1 finale, parents day in season, and visiting Tsukune's house are probably my favorite episodes. It's a lot more balanced unlike something like Panty and Stocking; there each episode was directed by a different person and it shows a lot. Episodes range from meh to decent, pretty good, or outright awesome. Here they're still pretty fun at worst and hilarious at best. Most of the anime is episodic where plots tend to conclude within their respective episode but Ruby's episode where they go to the human world is a two parter, and episode 11 is basically just a regular episode until towards the end where it leads into the season final which is also a two parter. Most of the series is tonally very stupid, ecchi, harem, fan service fun but some of the more serious moments I do enjoy. The series barely takes itself seriously but when it does it can be genuinely good even if its still on the dumber side of things. The season 1 finale episodes are probably the two best episodes of the season and maybe even the whole anime. Its a much more serious tone with Tsukune about to be killed along with the rest of the gang since one of the schools committees believes he's not a monster since they've never seen him transform before when in danger. Having previous episodes build up to this works surprisingly well and its a great way to end of the season. Season 2 only has one character introduction episode. The first two episodes we are shown Kokoa, Moka's younger sister, who is honestly one of the weaker and probably weakest mainline character in the series. Besides that, season 2 feels a bit more "filler" like than season 1 since there isn't a ton of characters to show off and give an entire episode to. Episode 3 has the casts' parents, which I mentioned is one of my favorites, but the season tends to just give us some random nonsense but also adding some minor characters and expanding a bit of the story. It's more slice of life but then again some of the better episodes here are some of the dumber ones. Just like with season 1, episode 11 is mainly an episodic story but leads into the season or technically two parter series finale. Here Moka sacrifices her rosary in order to save the academy and prevent a war from starting between the humans and monsters. Because of this, the real white haired Moka is now in control all the time and its bothering Tsukune so he goes to Moka's house and fights his father. These last two episodes are still pretty good and we even get to see the casts' parents again which is great. However, compared to the season 1 finale its not as great, and this is also the series finale which only makes it worse. All they had to do was make one small change and this would be a much better ending and the series would feel conclusive, even if it would be a bit rushed; all we needed was for Tsukune to confess to Moka and have the series end with them getting together but instead we get some bullshit about how he needs time to choose who he wants to be with. It's really frustrating and I get annoyed every time I watch those last few minutes. This is the biggest problem the series or at least series; the ending or lack there of is unfortunate. We even get a "The End" at the bottom screen wince it was unlikely of the series receiving another series despite it being fairly popular during its run. Having a good or even conclusive ending wouldn't save or make the show great but it would've been nice for the fans to get something more out of the anime. Overall, Rosario Vampire's story is mainly very slice of life, fan service harem nonsense with there being very few story ideas coming through from time to time. The series knows that its a dumb harem show and because of that it doesn't need a big or complex story and take itself seriously unlike High School DxD. The quality of the episodes are what matter so that's why not delving into the lore of the series is that necessary, but not having an ending is very frustrating. Art: 6.5 Vampire was animated by Studio Gonzo and they aren't known for having the best animation. That being said, I do believe that there is effort and care put into their series and whether it be the animators talents, time, budget or any other reason, their series don't look great in the longrun. Vampire is FINE, from an animation point; characters are typically on model, girls look cute, backgrounds are fine, but the fights aren't usually that good besides a couple, mainly the season 1 fight. Gonzo can make good looking scenes...sometimes, its just not that often and they tend to be in small cases. The series doesn't need to be visually stunning, the areas that need to be focused on: the girls, panty shots, etc. look good which is where all the time was spent and thats fine. Vampire's audience clearly cares more about that they do for the fights which is why I'm trying to defend the art in some way. It's lacing in some areas, but makes up for it in some other places so…

I'm very indecisive about this. From one hand, as an anime it's bad. I'd rate it a 4/10 overall. There are scenes where the story makes no sense. The characters and the dialogue don't make sense either. But that's why I also I want to give it a 9! It has some humour of its own, which I appreciate. But it's the bad stuff that cracks me up! The dialogue is so bad that it's laughable. The animation is re-used and sometimes it's straight up horrible. It is just a pleasure to watch! Like when Kurumu was "flying" in her fight against Moka or how the girls were drawn in the sea on the beach episode. It was like bad photoshop at best! And I loved it! Fuck it, I give it a 9/10! If you can laugh at these kind of stuff I recommend it to you! I do not recommend season 2 though. It was so boring, with no humorously bad scenes to make up for it.
ShamelessCritics
Lets start by the fact that the camera man was obviously a dwarf! xD Fact Num.2:PANTSU !! PANTSU EVERYWHERE !! *Cough Cough* Fact Num.3 : The Dialog that can represent this anime: Boy: Moka-san Moka:Tsukune Tsukune: Mokaa-san ? Moka: Tsukunee... Well seriously while watching this most likely you will: 1) spend a lot of time talking to yourselves 2) skip parts that are repeating over and over 3) begging for something new to happend... ? つ ?_? ?つ 4) examine what is around your room. For example how dusty your desk is, if the screen has any dirt and many other facts that you would not actually notice!! ( hey that's actually nice you know) 5) GET SERIOUSLY ANNOYED BY SOME FACTS...as a result you will scream to your screen a lot! Well the romance is the casual teasing, with a little progress but nothing actual happened in the end...(;一_一) I came here prepared about what lurks in the darkness of the "Ecchi-Fan Service,no actual plot" genre.... So i can not hate it a lot (just a bit)..I actually laughed in some scenes. Well I do not recommend it , unless you are mentally "prepared" and fully aware of what you are about to do or after you saw something really emotional that "broke you down" !! This was my Shameless critic. I am leaving without remorse!

*Insert obligatory first review sentence here* Now with that out of the way, let's get on with this. First off, let me begin by saying Rosario + Vampire is one of if not my favorite harem manga ever. Let me repeat, MANGA. This thing is not the manga, not in the slightest. The first few episodes seemed promising since they were following the manga however I always got a sinking feeling whenever the preview came on since they decided to advertise a different pair of panties for each episode. Nevertheless, I continued on and boy did I regret it. Story 3/10 - Like I said, the first few episodes seem promising mainly because they actually follow the manga and are paced reasonably well. However, things begin to fall apart by the time the trip to the human world arc takes place. After this point, the story more or less takes a back seat until the final two episodes which has always been a pet peeve of mine. I am sick of romcom shows that think they don't need any plot progression until the last two episodes, I'm looking at you Girls Bravo. Anyway long story short this is not the manga's plot, it is a watered down version with only the bare essentials. Art 7/10 - This coupled with the sound is probably the best part of this anime. The characters and backgrounds look nice and everyone is animated pretty well. I'm not going to go any further into this since I've never cared that much about this field. Sound 6/10 - Like the art, the sound is pretty good. The OP is pretty catchy in my opinion and I honestly love the ED and really highlights what this anime should have been about, Moka kicking lots of ass and looking damn good while doing it. Characters 5/10 - Here we go, this is where the differences with the manga really become distingushed. Let's start with our MC Tsukune, instead of manga Tsukune who is thrust into an unfamiliar environment, relies on Moka for a while until that isn't enough and gets powers of his own that he learns to control, we get just another generic MC who relies on Moka for the whole season except for the last damn episode. Speaking of Moka, part of her appeal was the whole mysteriousness of her other self and how she became that way, but the people making this anime didn't seem to care. In the anime, Moka never evolves past the beautiful, perfect nice girl with a badass alter ego, granted it takes a while before she does so in the manga. Next up is Kurumu, or Tits Mcgee. Even in the manga I never particularly enjoyed Kurumu but she does have some genuine moments in the manga. Unfortunately the most important thing she does in the anime is sing a song in a bikini..... moving on. Yukari the witch is next and I like how they portray witch in this world as between human and monster but not really belonging to either. In the manga she really stands on her own as a character during the club trip arc however even that is ruined in the anime which also includes another character Rubi who, even in the manga, I found her affection towards Tsukune unnecessary. Finally we have everyone favorite character, Mizore. Mizore is what made me want to keep watching since she is my favorite character, but alas even she couldn't save it. Enjoyment 5/10 - From what you can tell, I did not enjoy this anime, I can only see it as an insult to the source material. Aside from the character introduction episodes, no part of what made the manga so great is in the anime. Where is the school festival arc? Where's Hokuto and Kiria? Those guys are part of the reason I love the manga so much. Overall 5/10 - My biggest problem with the Rosario + Vampire anime is that they took a series that started out as just another harem comedy but turned into a thrilling monster action series with harem elements and assumed that what it was in the beginning was what everyone liked about. I would've scored it lower but I just couldn't grade an adaptation of something I loved so low. So yeah, this was my first attempt at a review. I'm sure my arguments aren't that great and I could have gone into more detail in some places, but I just wanted to throw out my 2 cents. I'm open to any discussion or counter-arguments.

Rosario to Vampire is a very generic fantasy ecchi/harem anime that rushes through every plot point too quickly and expects us to believe in the romance between the two main characters by default. The characters kind of make up for its failures, as Inner Moka steals the show over and over again. Kurumu is hot and fun to watch, while Mizore is interesting to say the least. The only main girl I didn't like that much was Yukari because she is a glorified sexualized loli for no reason and has no relevance to the story besides her one episode love interest and helping save the other witch girl. Oh, I should mention the generically weak and dense main male character who has absolutely no reason to be doing what he does, and of course the girls fawn over him because of his love of his "friends" and his passion to save them even though he cannot do anything himself. The plot itself is difficult to even find until the last 2 episodes and by then it's too late to save itself from failing. The ending was, as expected, a "happy" one, but to achieve this they form a plothole in how all the students magically changed their minds about Tsukune being human. It could have been done a lot better, but that remains to be seen in the next season.

What more can I say about this anime? It has big breasted girls, monsters and blood sucking vampires! A must watch for those who prefer humorous monster shows rather than the darker ones. However it does have some down sides. There isnt much character development and the storyline can get a little repetitive sometimes. Also some of the scenes were a little sappy and lovedovey for me, but then I dont like the hardcore romance stuff :P Rosario+ Vampire gets a good 7/10
StarDescent
First of all, before I begin, the manga for this blows the anime out of the water. I'd highly recommend it. Rosario + Vampire is really just taking the characters from the manga, murdering the story, and creating a huge fanbase. That being said, the anime wasn't... Awful. The series is about Tsukune, a human boy who gets put in a Highschool for monsters/demons, and tries to fit in without being discovered. Seems interesting, no? Lets talk about the positives first. The animation style is really amazing. It looks really smooth, and has a cutesy, happy feel to it. It makes you want to keep looking at it. The music is actually really good. Both intros are really good, and the background music for the fight scenes, awkward scenes, and whatnot are all really fitting and really enjoyable to listen to. That's it for the good, really. The plot isn't even there, it is clearly stated what's supposed to be going on (a human boy trying to fit in at a Highschool for monsters/demons) but it never progresses. It's mostly filler, every once in a while adding a new character, every one of which happens to fall in love instantly with the main protagonist for absolutely no reason. The execution of the anime was miserable. That aside, it is enjoyable to watch for humor's sake. It's cute, funny, happy, and it's something mindless to pass the time with. However, if you're looking for a plot on the level of Clannad or something, you're going to want to pass on this one, as it definitely isn't for everyone. If you do end up watching this, please read the manga too. It's MUCH better, and it still retains the silly, mindless feel of the anime. Thanks for reading! c:

Rosario vampire, this anime will likely catch eyes because of them pretty ladies, and that is the summit of what it offers. To be frank there will be some spoilers here and I will keep this brief, I will not describe the opening story because you can just look above and see it. This anime seems to pride itself upon the worms eye view and every standstill talking scene is at least 30% "look at these panties while nothing is really happening" moments. It is ok, but becomes excessive, beyond the succubus character there is no such dire need to shove ecchi into the faces of viewers. Let us delve into the true problem with the show, it does not follow the manga.... well it KIND of does but not in the way you would want it to. Take for example Shirayuki, she comes later in the story than the actual ending of the anime, hell half the anime is taken from after the same events in the manga. To be totally true, the Anime HAS around 15 chapters of the first manga thrown about out of order, but the ending of the show is chapter 10. To further compound this the first season focus' on very little that makes the manga truly great, its like Kurokami all over again, they hit some good points but totally screwed around with some major selling points and just gave it their own spin with no intention of following the story. Story 6: its OK and just that, nothing to write home about, the anime favors harem ecchi while the manga is multitudes better art 8: its good, but not amazing, the biggest plus is that it is not all over the scoreboard depending on the episode. sound 8: good, somewhat memorable. character 6: see above, it can be placed here as well. enjoyment 8: its fun, and thats why this is so high, but this is personal preference. overall 7: will continue on to the second season and hope it gets some good stuff in. My personal quibbles: - as said before the anime does its own thing at its own speed, it could have been so much better... - every time moka transforms (every episode) it goes through the entire sequence and describes what is happening by a narrator. The camera pans her butt, as it enlarges, as well as her chest as a button comes loose. Unnecessary and tedious. - to transform, except once, mokas rosario needs to be ripped from the chain. Somehow every time Aono is trying to embrace Moko his aim is off and it goes directly to the rosario If you ended up reading any of this DO NOT READ THE CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS, the key characters descriptions are pretty much ripped from the manga and you will be sorely disappointed.

I was watching this just now and realized how GENERIC it is. But that's good, because I personally believe it's kind of a comedy about how everything is done and how run of the mill everything you'd expect an anime to do in like five seconds.
Volix
First of all, I just want to say that very few animes make me want to write a review. The fact that I indeed did write one only proves that I do honestly love this anime. -BASIC PLOT- Now, back to the main topic. Rosario + Vampire is your average harem/shounen (I'd say it's more of a harem. There's more googly-eyed, cheesiness than action) with a weak, helpless guy being surrounded by big chested/cute girls, and is always making mistakes and being sexually harrassed by having boob hats or having his arm hugged by boobs... -STORY- (6/10) Aono Tsukune, an average highschool boy fails his grade and ends up having to retake it again next year. By sheer coincidence, his father picks up an acceptance letter to Youkai Academy. Excited as him and his parents are for his first day, he finds himself on a shady, stay-the-fuck-out mountainside just infront of a forest bordering the school. On his way there, he gets ran over with a bike by Akashiya Moka, who later reveals is a vampire... The story did, in my opinion got boring at times -- I found myself skipping through an episode or two in order to cut to the chase. Sometimes the episode was filled with repetition that really wasn't needed, and saved me 5-10 minutes. -ART/SOUND- (7/10) The art (character wise) looked a bit old, or amatuerly drawn especially for an anime which came out in 2008. This is only my personal opinion. Usually, the only time I see this kind of anime is in old American-made hentai (which generally suck... hard), though at certain angles the character's designs looked nice. As for the scenery, it did look very detailed but just like the character art, it did seem a bit retro. The sound was good, but I personally did not like some of the voice acting of the Japanese dub. For some characters, like Auno, it didn't seem to fit with his character. -CHARACTER- (8/10) The character's personalities are very different from one another, and when they're all put together in a group it's quite cute how all of their opinions and emotions clash together. Tsukune - An innocent, and defenceless teenager who is very clumbsy about what he does, and has a hard time understanding people's obvious feelings (common in harem). He feels as though he is a minority at his school, and having a group of girls defend him only makes him feel worse. Though, when he is serious about something, he is determined and strong. Moka - Moka is kind hearted vampire who is living as two different people. The pink haired, kind hearted, shy, cute Moka you generally see is a personality which was created in order to hold the second Moka using the Rosarie on her neck. The other Moka is a silver haired, mellow, intimidating, cute-in-a-scary-way personality. She is generally reffered to as "the REAL Moka" among her family -- this is revealed in Rosario + Vampire Capu 2. This Moka comes out whenever there is a battle, Tsukune is always the one to remove the rosarie (wether on accident or on purpose). Kurumu - Kurumu is a succubus, a creature that uses their bodies and special ability called "Charm" to bend the will of the opposite sex. Though at first, she may seem like the evil type, it is later revealed that she is indeed a nice girl. Kurumu is generally the flirty type, and she seems to love suffocating Tsukune with her boob-trench. SIDENOTE: Yukari and Kurumu often playfully argue with eachother about boob size. Yukari taunts Kurumu saying "they will get saggy when you get older, I still have a long time till I grow up!" And so starts an argument. Though in reality, Kurumu seems to love Yukari like a little sister. Yukari - Yukari is a witch... need I explain what a witch might POSSIBLY be? In the beginning of her appearance in the anime, she seems like an arrogant brat who cares about no ones feelings, and only her own enjoyment. Later on though, she reveals her feelings and why she treats everyone poorly and eventually befriends the main characters. -ENJOYMENT- (8/10) I enjoyed this anime very much. It made me laugh, facepalm, and feel embarrased for a few characters at times. Though I think this anime wont be enjoyable to some if they're picky about character personality and story line. Overall, I give this anime an 8/10.

This review contains no spoilers. It’s safe to read. Also, this review is for both season one and season two (Capu 2). Story: 3/10 Okey, it really has a poor storyline. But come-on~, it’s a comedy! An ecchi comedy! The anime gets more serious in the final episodes… but still lots of humor and great scenes. I like the idea of youkai (monsters) going to a school. Actually, no. I LOVE the idea. Art: 9/10 Candy for eyes. Rich colors. Great quality. Details. In one word: beautiful! Sound: 10/10 Nana Mizuki totally one of the best people on this planet. If you don’t enjoy the story, you’ll definitely like the music! I especially love “Discotheque” and “Trinity Cross”. Also, I totally adore the “Chulu chulu paya paya~♥” song in the background in some (or all?) episodes. All the seiyu did a great work! Characters: 8/10 The characters’ designs are great! In all of the characters I see a tiny bit of me. Enjoyment: 9/10 I laughed a lot when watching this. There also were some scenes that I almost cried. A loooooot of fanservice! Final average score: 7.8/10 My final score: 9/10 I recommend this anime to all the perverted people that are looking for badass sexy girls with a bit of supernatural and action but lots of ecchi, funny scenes! Be sure to watch in a good mood and FIND A UNCENSORED VERSION (seriously, it’s totally annoying when you have it censored).

The story is all about a teenage boy who can't get into high school, but through an amusing circumstance, ended up getting into a school but not an ordinary one called Youkai Gakuen. On his first day of class, while trying to find his way to the school, he stumbled upon a very beautiful girl. They immediately became friends and the boy said that he will surely have a nice time in his new school. Little is he aware of what kind of school he is entering or the true identity of the girl. Rosario + Vampire is presented in a 1 monster per episode format, and new characters are introduced gradually as the series moves along. Admittedly, the format tends to become a little boring for a while because in the surface the story doesn't seem to have any direction, but for people who love harem and fan-service, this is but little annoyance for enjoying the show. The series ended quite abruptly leaving much to be desired, thankfully there is a season 2 (by the time of this writing). As expected of GONZO, the animation is superb, the movement is very fluid, and the girls are really cute - very nice for any harem shows. The fan-service is a plus, and you can never be tired watching the transformation sequence of Moka as she transformed from a whimsy character to a total badass and powerful vampire. The OP and ED is nice, very appropriate for the show. Background music is also superb! I especially like it when Aono and Moka look face-to-face blushing while saying each other's name and in the background it is playing the "lalalalala...lalala...lalalalala" sound, it's really cute and hilarious! I like the anime in general. It's only 13 episodes, not much room for character development. I wish to see more development on the relationship of the main characters, but it is not something that the series focuses on in its first season. Recommended for anyone who loves romance, comedy, fantasy, harem and fan-service.

I feel I love anime way too much when I give scores like these but I know that I also fell head over heels in love with this anime from episode 1. Keep in mind it's an ecchi show and is usually based around some kid who's weak but is an amazing person who's charm can win anyone over. I think what I really loved most about this show, even though it's an ecchi show, is the romance. The character development and the relationship between Moka and Tsukune is just amazing, and they thrown quite a twist in this in the sense Moka has 2 different personalities, or better put she's quite literally 2 different people in 1 and Tsukune has managed to make both of thim love him. It's heartbreaking to live through the painful memories of having to end this show! So much more could be done with it WHY, WHY DOES IT HAVE TO END! (Gonzo had to sell this anime to Funimation so be sure to tell them to push for a third season :D)
