How to have a great night with your fellow nerd friends: step 1.) skip this damn anime step 2.) if you happen to fail step one, get yourself some alcohol. This author recommends a dash of malibu coconut rum mixed with some cola. step 3.) play the following drinking game; http://missfrancesxd.tumblr.com/post/102982668560/diabolik-lovers-drinking-game Additional rules, in case you really want to forget you ever watched this cinematic crafted piece of well polished but poorly constructed trash can; 1. Drink when: * Yui is being called any downgrading nickname (e.g. Pancake, Masochistic Kitten) * Every time you make a noise in suffering because something unfortunate happened. * For some reason or another, characters are suddenly in the shot, but you have not been made aware they actually moved to this very location. (Also works for when they leave a shot without explanation). 2. When your friend leaves for whatever reason, keep counting how many sips they have missed. If they missed too many, they have to down a whole glass in one go. 3. Once you start this anime and you are drinking, you have to finish it within this very session. (Suffer, then find your salvation.) - - - REVIEW (it's mandatory, here we go) [ Story ] There is none, plus the ending is left open for when a third season might be made. Hopefully never, expectation tragically happening. [ Art ] It's okay. Screenshots look fine. Animation is non-existent. You really got to exercise your noodles and imagine them jumping from a car. Fantastic. The anime is full with opportunities for brain growth. It's like I am playing Brain Academy all over again. [ Sound ] Voice actors are nice, but they unfortunately have bad lines. You are allowed to blame the alcohol, but I don't remember anything of the songs or background music. [ Character ] Designs are nice. Characterization could be better. Every new vampire is introduced and has an episode dedicated to them. Following this pattern of events precisely: 1.) They are an asshole 2.) We see their tragic backstory with help of a neat montage of a flashback 3.) You are supposed to pity them 4.) Yui feels sympathy for them despite the fact she did not experience this flashback 5.) You do not care [ Enjoyment ] Nobody wanted to watch this sober. Even with some alcohol, there were moments I wanted to commit sudoku. I had an existential crisis-- maybe five, actually. Perhaps the best part of this experience was walking away and returning to being told you have to down the whole glass of malibu cola you had left. [ Overall ] We do not recommend this experience, especially if you are not of legal drinking age, but I am a simple drunk reviewer on MyAnimeList.com with a personal vendetta against these god forsaken vampires. - - - I am not very sober, but that's how life is. Suck you laAaAaater

Ok, so, only me finds that comma in-between “more” and “blood” to be awfully distracting? Like what does it mean? “More” Diabolik Lovers, version “Blood”? (WARNING. THIS REVIEW MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS) Anyway! With no further ado, let me get into this. I have a confession to make: this season has become a freakin guilty pleasure for me. It’s still bad, consistency committed suicide like any other sense of ethics and morales I could expect, but goddamn it, it’s painful to say that I actually did come to like the Mukami brothers…or some parts of them at least. Story This second season makes me actually re-think the rating that I gave to the first season because they used to be both 3 on MAL for me, but I genuinely think that this one actually TRIED to make sense in some parts, so the first season went to a 2 instead. It’s like when stuff start getting fairly nice and then somebody in the staff went like NOPE, WE HAD A LACK OF BITING THIS EPISODE! …ლ(ಠ_ಠ ლ)Why can’t you people just accept exposition and development for what they are rather than shove “I’m a bad bad vampire” down my throat? And MOSTLY when it comes to the Mukami brothers! The whole “biting is hot” thing going on in this show has become a running gag from the first season and yet this one still insists on it. Insists even when it makes no sense to. All the Eve&Adam bulshit to a side and also ignoring that Yui was supposed to be a vampire by this time (huge plothole but I guess the original otome game didn’t give shit about it and continued from a state when Yui never actually had the whole issue with the Sakamaki-mom), I thought that the Mukami brothers would have brought a ray of light into my life, as ex-humans and everybody having went through very nasty things. I expected them to try and understand how Yui is feeling, yet I was thoroughly disappointed. You know? I am starting to believe that if I would have forgotten most story of the first season, I think this second season would have been more consistent x2. Yet the fast pacing (15 minutes/episode) definitely played to its disadvantage. The Mukami brothers are definitely more likable than half the Sakamaki’s; for one, I just can’t stand Reiji and Kanato; Shu is a saint, Subaru is kinda cute if he drops the anger issues, while Ayato is…sometimes…remotely… actually a nice guy if he would drop his badass egocentric vampire act. The Mukami brothers? Still somehow douchebags when they remember they have to act like evil vampires, safe for Azusa. Azusa is an angel. ( ´͈ ॢꇴ `͈ॢ)・*♡ Unfortunately, besides the “Eve” nonsense which I refuse to even get into, the rest of the story is not devoid of plot holes and incoherences. During the first season (which is why I would have preferred to forget it…) one of the vampires (I think it was Reiji and then Laito when he chased after her) has implied that Yui wasn’t going to be able to escape from the Sakamaki’s; not only because they would have killed her if she tried, but also because they would have been able to find her anyway with their vampire senses…Yeah, well, the Mukami brothers stole her right from under their noses and nobody used their awesome teleportation skills and spider senses to actually do something to stop it. Then when she was gone, they were all butthurt about Yui’s disappearance, not striking them as odd at all that everything was plain weird.┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌ By the end, the whole story was, once again, about Yui getting bitten over and over, the Mukami brothers fighting the Sakamakis using Yui as a tool to trigger jealousy, Mukami brothers’ angsty past stories, Yui being a b**ch not even caring who bites her anymore (I’m actually quoting Shu here) and PLOTTWIST: 2 more people for Yui to get kidnapped and abused by. Just marvelous! Diabolik Lovers is getting a third season! My! I’m just speechless! One last thing: Karlheinz butting in all this to trigger the Eve-game is just a reason to bring in the Mukami brothers, right? Right. (And I know the “he wanted it so one of the vampires would have become Adam and so, would be able to eventually kill Karl, but I don’t remember the anime ever clarifying that, so to me, it’s still a sin). Characters I would like to concentrate on the Mukami brothers for this section. I’m very confused about them and it’s really not even their faults. They are genuinely the ruined potential of this anime. As I said before, as ex-humans I expected them to understand a lot of things that the Sakamaki brothers could never manage to grasp and to a certain extent I got what I wanted. They are the first heart-warming “family” that I’ve seen in this show. It was amazing how they actually eat together and take care of eachother like Yuma making sure Azusa eats properly; it was something that moved me deeply because I really didn’t expect to see “warmness” in Diabolik Lovers. They actually even share some of their interests and thoughts with the heroine (even though in the end it didn’t matter, because Yui kept being as blank as a board, but anyway…), however that gets ruined when they suddenly “remember” that they’re vampires and as vampires they MUST BITE and be TOTAL DOUCHEBAGS! …excepting Azusa. Talking about Azusa now, he is actually the character with the most consistency. As much as I tried to justify the Sakamaki brothers with their pasts, I never managed to actually put my finger on all of them and their actions. I understand what they went through and I understand the enviroment they kept living in and I also understand that people develop differently even when they’re exposed to the same enviroment (which explains Shu and Subaru), but I kept having this strong feeling that most of them were all just excuses in the end. Azusa is that guy that instead of getting angry at the world, he got “angry” at himself and nothing of what he does is inconsistent with his past or with himself, at least how he was portrayed at the beginning. Then there’s Ruki. He is the first character in Diabolik Lovers who showed actual struggle! It’s the first time that I see despair visually expressed on the face of a vampire in this show. Even if Ruki’s feelings came out of nowhere, my expectations were really low, so it really took me by surprise. His fear, his confusion of seeing the heroine fainted with anemia. His feelings of “impureness” , that he’s not able to become Adam, are fascinating. The reaction of the other Mukami brothers to Ruki and the well-being of the heroine was also something that surprised me. They were still not being consistent by randomly switching between their vampire “pride” and human “nice” selves, but it was fresh. For the rest… Yui = doll. ✔ Sakamaki brothers = generally douchebags ✔ Kou = doucheba-…*spares him the last g for his angsty past that he still seems to suffer deeply about*✔ Yuma = averagely douchy. (I think he’s a type that barks more than anything) ✔ Morikubo Showtaro in the last 5 minutes of the show = OMFG I JUST HAD TO MENTION IT. ✔ Animation & Soundtrack Opening– never skipped it. It’s just that awesome. I’m in love with their vocals. Ending-forgettable this time. Rest of the OST was mostly recycled from last season, but still gives me the chills everytime. Animation ..fairly good. The bleak colors still do their jobs, though it’s nothing amazing. The characters don’t really move a lot and there are a lot of closeups instead. Conclusion Third season upcoming? I’m half horrified and half curious because, despite everything, I still want to see what end Ruki’s conclusion regarding the heroine is going to go and for how long is it going to work. And then, Morikubo Showtaro. I said everything.

This season was, again, outstanding, that's what I give it. #1 reason I love this season of the series, the story. The plot of the story, even though I've never played the game, is breathe taking. It captures the imagination of the viewers and they can't stop watching. #2 is the characters. Each character plays a great roles surrounding the heroine of this story. She has a way of changing each and every one of them in their daily lives. It's not just about them drinking her blood it's more to it than that. #3 is the music & art. The music they use for each episode is outstanding and fitting to each scene. The art is also incredible. Just beautiful. #4 is the enjoyment. I found that once I or anyone who starts watching this series will enjoy this series from beginning to end no matter how boring they think it is. Overall this series and 2nd season was just amazing. Can't wait for more Diabolik Lovers.

this review isn't spoiler free, please continue with caution Ah shit, here we go again I will first start out by ranting on how fucking terrible this anime is. I can't stand the fact that Yui or whatever her name continues to be nice to these fuckwads. They literally sexually assault her every single fucking day, and she still chooses to be nice to them. I decided to put myself through hell and watch season 2 in Sub and Dub, and it was torture. The dub was so blatantly terrible that it literally made my ears bleed. Now, let us start with the actual review. Story; 2/10 This seasons story is so fucking terrible. Basically, Yui is some type of Eve and all these other vampires want to be Adam or something, so they continuously suck Yui's blood. But later they say some shit like, "Ohhh blah blah, we cant be adam cause were not pureblood vampires" or some shit. It's fucking terrible, don't watch this anime. Art; 4/10 It's alright, like I said in my last review of Diabolik lovers, the art style for the male characters is an ass. Sound; 4/10 Lots of slurping sounds, but other than that they pretty much fixed a lot in this season, it's still ass though. Character; 3/10 Nothing changes, they're still terrible people and the anime makes no attempt to make them seem like they're improving. Enjoyment; 1/10 I would rather watch Dora the fucking Explorer than watch this fucking trash again. Overall; 2/10 Pathetic. Disgusting. If you enjoyed this anime I'm not going to discriminate against you, after all, we're all into different things. But this anime seriously is terrible (In my opinion) Oh and, take a shot every time Yui says "Eh?"

First of all, it's MUCH better than the first season, which was mediocre at best. This one is just flat out better. If you liked the first season at all, even as a guilty pleasure, (which, honestly, is probably what it is for most of us who got this far) give the second season a chance. Though why it got a second season at all is beyond me... Well, whatever! WARNING: Spoilers for the end of the first season. And I swear a bit. Story: 6-ish. It's not anything revolutionary or anything, but it is there, which is more than I can say about the first series until the last few episodes. (And even then, it was not very good.) This season, Yui is kidnapped because she's now Eve in addition to almost-Cordelia for some reason. This will not be explained, nor will what being Adam means. Because it's ~*~fun~*~ keeping the audience in the dark about the core of your plot. (I mean jfc! Not a word?) Still, learning more about the characters and the conflict, for what little of it there was, between the new guys and old guys drove the season well enough for me to not drop it. (Totally would have dropped it last season if the episodes weren't so short.) Then, the last episode ends on a cliff hanger and what looks like a promise of a third season. And still isn't subbed. Even though it's been out since the tenth and it's the seventeenth. I had to rely on my below basic language skills and context. I got the bare minimum. I'll be watching it subbed whenever it comes out. Art: 7 or 8. Very nice, solid art, same as last season. I still don't get why everyone's hair is so floofy compared to the game, but that's my problem. But what's-his-face with the eyepatch and glasses. Why is his eyepatch ON TOP OF his GLASSES????????? That is a super awkward way to wear it! And it would look absolutely retarded in real life. Or seen from LITERALLY ANY OTHER ANGLE than what we got. Take it from someone who wears glasses. You DON'T put stuff like that over your glasses. You put them under. GAWD. Sound: 6. I didn't actually notice it as I was watching. So, it's not bad or anything. It's just... Yeah. And then I didn't particularly care for the OP or the ED, so... Yeah. Look at reviews by people who paid attention. Sorry. Character: 7. I liked the new guys much more. This time, they're actually sympathetic characters and not all a bunch of jerks most of the time. (Not Shuu though. He was nice, if apathetic. And never on screen. Or my angry bby Subaru. RIP.) Last season, everything felt smashed together and we barely scratched the surface of what the game provided. Now, I haven't actually played either of the games, but I have read summaries of the routes for the first game, and those boys were SO fucked up by Cordelia and her shit. And the season showed almost none of that, so I didn't like any of them. Not to mention the focus was spread out enough that we couldn't get to understand any of them. And I just didn't like their personalities. Especially not Ayato and R/Laito. (Except Kanato. Kanato was great to watch.) This season with the cast reduced, we could get more of their backstories. So we CARE more about them and I want them to be happy. BE HAPPY PLEASE. And they actually care for each other!!! And treat each other like a family!!!! The Sakamakis were all so frigid to each other this is like a breath of fresh air! (Also, Yuuma is like, the closest to my type this series has, so... Bit biased here. Just, how he looks out for Azusa and how he's got a tomato garden and just everything about him~~~~ Sorry. I'll stop now.) Yui is still our protagonist, so no improvement there. Seriously, they kidnapped you and you can't tell Subaru "they kidnapped me, so no shit I'm not here by choice?" And they're ALL under the impression she just up and left them for the Mukami brothers??? CORRECT THEM, DAMMIT! Even if you don't exactly want to leave, at least let them know you didn't betray them or whatever they think! Enjoyment: 7. (Pls don't hate me.) I watched this after the shit first season and you wouldn't think I'd like it? Honestly. Hell, I'm gonna watch the third season! (Fuck cliff hangers though. Just... WHY.) Most of my bitter dislike is specifically directed at not having any answers after the entire season being paired with that "literally nothing is ever going to be resolved in this fucking series" ending. While I was watching it, I was yelling at Yui, asking the show for answers, and fawning over the Mukamis. So you all know what I enjoyed. I have no shame admitting it here. This is what we came for. Overall: 7 is sorta my average, so let's go with that! It was decent. I liked it. You don't have to agree with me. We are allowed to have different opinions. Just know that you will have questions with no answers, but that was really the same with the last season, so... And last season's questions (like "Why did Cordelia's heart fit inside a baby? And what kind of magic made it try to possess her?" or "There were other 'brides', right? Why? If Yui is the vessel for Cordelia because she had her heart, why would anyone think Cordelia could possess any of the other girls?" and "Why the hell is she there? Seriously? Were the vampires threatening her foster father?") are completely ignored in favor of giving new ones. I guess this is going to be par for the course with this series. Sigh. Still, in spite of its faults, it was still better than last season, so I have to give it that.

I love this story i have always wanted to play the games, the Mukami and Sakamaki family are given more than a few chances to develop their story but it mostly just ends up with them "biting into an apple". Well Yui/Eve's neck. And whats with all the bath scenes?! At least undress Shuu first... Laito, Azusa, kou, Shuu and Subaru's voice actors match their character perfectly. However i'm not keen on Kanato's VA... To be honest i would swap out Disuke for Junichi and move Disuke to Reiji but it goes well Can't wait until Dark Fate comes out and this season has only just finished!

I'm writing this review for the entire series because you can easily explain one while describing the other. When I came across the first episode (season 1) I didn't have high standards set in place, I was just looking to kill some time and decided to try out this show because my friend thought it was "sooooooooooooooo good". The first episode revealed to me the typical harem girl (who had an adorable outfit by the way) surrounded by all the generic boys on the checklist of a reverse harem anime. What interested me was the fact that they didn't all want to be her friend or lover upon first sight. In fact they hated her and simply viewed her as a resource; and I actually thought that even as generic as this has started out that they might delve into this topic a little more. To my disappointment the series played out in the order listed below; throughout, every, single, episode.... - Girl walks around a bit - Girl runs into guy - Guy makes a move on girl - Girl resists, but is inevitably overpowered - Girl gets raped or however you want to put it - Girl passes out then awakens in a bed or couch - Something plot related happens Then the second season appears and we're introduced to new characters, and guess what! The same shit happens all over again except this time the characters are unlikable and creepy, and the main character turns out to be just plain annoying. Not that this matters, but the sounds they make when they're sucking the girls blood sound straight out of a hentai... Also if you want to see the worst car crash in the history of anime watch the first episode of the second season. The last episode of this season implies that there is more to come, and hopefully it never will.

The only thing I have to say is...this is so ass. Like, seriously, the way they treat her like a piece of meat and how she's such a weakling is a disgrace to womenkind. The one with the hat ( yes I didn't even bother remembering their names) straight up calls her a b*itch??? Crazy bruh. Like actually what possessed them to make this into an anime. The plotline is actually stupid. Each episode is the same thing, someone grabs her, harasses her, drinks her blood, acts like a jerk, repeat. The girl cant even eat or take a shower in peace. Why would anyone romanticize this?? Beyond me.

Wow! what a season!. Honestly i was even more surprised when they brought back the same plot, concept, characters, blood sucking intent and misogyny in season 2. Story 10/10 How can i even begin, i have no words. I love how they carried out the same plot all the viewers hated the most and stayed true to its premise of a girl getting sucked on every 4 seconds by 9 guys multiple times an episode, and thats about it. Yeah that's about it, its simple, concise, and you'll most likely relate to how yui feels as you;re gonna get several headaches and concussions hitting your head against a wall. Art 10/10 the art stayed consistent within both seasons, un generic, colorful and pretty and vibrant. Not to mention the hair that apparently defies all concept of physics Sound 10/10 Honestly i can get enough of that same piano ost in the background playing in all scenes. And not to mention the amazing Op's and ED's which have nothing to do with the show. Also slurping noises 10/10 Character 10/10 FINALLY my favourite part. Just as you thought ur inner masochistic self couldn't come out any faster. All the guys are are charming, and not hypocritical at all. I love when they talk about how horrible they feel for the main heroine that she's being tortured upon and then proceed by force drinking her blood like 2 seconds later. If you like your sadistic, psychotic and trashy harem sausage party, then this is the show for you. The main heroine Yui is probably my favourite. Just like you may know, I love my useless protagonists. Especially when they make no development throughout the entire show! like honestly, youd think when your're being dragged, pushed, sucked, tortured and so on, youd have the common courtesy to try and run away right! Nope. Top quality traits right here people. Just stand still while yelling "please stop" repeatedly should do the trick. God I love her Enjoyment 10/10 And boy was this enjoyable. I love how the shock value even disappeared. Before even proceeding to the next episode, I could tell that Yui would most likely be sucked on for blood by at least 5 of the guys in her neck, chest, leg, arm, stomach, feet ect. I love the thrill and buildup of when Yui decides to go back to communicating with the vampires even after knowing the risks and doing absolutely nothing about it and acting shocked when they decided to torture her. Absolutely magnificent. Overall 10/10 This has ot be my favourite show of all time like honestly can you blame it. generic and repetitive story, bland and useless characters, 1 song to theme the whole thing, inner rage about why the main protagonist is so damn stupid, its all part of the package! i cant believe theres a dub -------_____________________---------

TL;dr: Better than the first season in character category, but oh wait, lets confuse everyone with this whole Eve ordeal, make you question things and then nothing will be answered and the ending just makes you more confused. Oh and should be called "Diabolik Lovers: More Hornballs" or "More stupidity." Is the actual otome this bad cause apparently it is pretty popular?? Story: This brings a new set of vampires who are like "I want your blood cause your Eve" and yammering about it nonstop. Now what is Eve and why does this make her a special snowflake? Well the anime decided to say, nah you dont need to know but we'll give you a shot of them looking off into the distance instead of explaining. Literally if you are here for a "story" this one is just as bad as the first one, no even worse. The first season at least "attempted" to explain. Art: LITERALLY THE ONLY GOOD PART. The colors and designs are nicely done. Ah but Ayato's pant leg is still up. Drives me nuts @ m @ Music: Even less favourable than the first season. The ending is even lamer and the opening just sounds so unappealing. Character: These new vampires actually seem to care for Yui waaaaaay more than the original cast. Like think of Shuu, blonde one, from original cast. They remind me slightly of him who was just more chill about everything. Oh and these boys actually think of stuff to do instead of nomming on her every five seconds???!! Yeah they still nom on her just as bad but they actually treat her way better so I applaud for that. Also happy [spoiler: one of the boys threw Kanato's bear in the fire, oh I was crying tears of joy!] Ayato was the one they showed the most out of the original cast and yup still a possesive hornball. Though kudos to him, he actually says her name once -.- Enjoyment: I enjoyed it thouroghly. It still managed to make me laugh so much at how bad it is. Completely and utterly stupid entertainment. Overall: Just as pathetic as the first season in all categories, well Except for art. If you want a good laugh for how bad an anime can be, be sure to check this one out!

Honestly, I didn't think this could get any worse than season 1. I was wrong. I'm not even sure why I bothered to watch season 2. I was hoping to give it redemption, but once again it let me down and I was wrapped into finishing the season to see if the story would lead anywhere. It did not. The whole season was about her getting stolen by another group of "Brothers" who see her as leverage to the original vampire brothers. Supposedly, the original brothers were "concerned", even though Ayato was the only one really interested in getting her back. It takes till the end of season 2 to finally rescue her and we are then introduced to a pair of werewolf brothers who really throw everything off because there was no backstory or anything in the plotline hinting to their characters or their arrival. In the end I think it was a whole chunk of confusion all over again and another waste of time. I do not recommend the series overall.

after watching this i had to see a therapist. the story is so weird. in other word the girl is getting raped by sucking her blood from different vampire, and she is the kind of person that's so stupid and doesn't learn from the 1st time. she keeps going to different vampire every episode, and it ends up in the same way. in the end i feel its an anime that should have never got a season 2. and should have never been aired either. its one of the most stupid and annoying anime that i have ever watched in my life. i want refund on the hours i spend watching it

This is coming from the perspective of someone who has watched both seasons, read the manga, AND PLAYED THE GAMES. I feel like with Diabolik Lovers if you want to know the plot in depth you must play the otome game. Since I already know everything about each character and everything about the plot this anime feels like it was made for the already fans. It's the only way to understand what's going on. To those that don't know: the Adam and Eve plan is to have one of the vampires awaken as "Adam" and give birth to a new race with "Eve" (Yui). The Mukami brothers are trying to help carry out this plan by seeing if they can become Adam themselves. They do this by drinking her blood. Reiji says they won't be successful because only a pure blood vampire can become Adam. In the game Yui must choose an Adam (This is why the ending was so significant). Every episode is pretty much just scenes from the game taken from a character's route. Watching this anime without knowing any backstory can be challenging to understand everything. I would suggest reading up about the story before watching the anime so you can enjoy it much more. I saw the first season before knowing anything and thought it was bad but when I learned more about the characters and plot watching the show again was 100x more enjoyable. Art 10/10 Characters 10/10 I love Kanato ♥

Diabolik Lovers: More Blood in a word: SuchEdge As if one season of this wasn't enough, the anime world blessed us with another! Diabolik Lovers: More Blood (or 'Return of the Edge'). The makers of this anime must of been like "Hmm...how can we make this better. Add more vampires with little to no character depth!!! Perfect." Did I enjoy it? Yes, I did! Why? I like yelling at 12+ edge-y vampire men to staph thinking that they are so cool. It's a hobby of mine. This is pretty much just like the first season. Flat characters and poor story. All the guys are jerks, the girl is an air-head. Animation is pretty when it comes to backgrounds, character eyes, and character hair.

This is going to be short and sweet because there's really not that much material to review with Diabolik Lovers. For those who have seen season 1: If you're looking for an improved story line and an actual plot, you aren't going to find it here. More Blood is just as pointless as season 1. So if you didn't like the first season you probably won't like this one either. Don't waste your time unless you're only watching it to see the pretty boys. For those who haven't seen season 1: If you're looking for some great vampire romance series that has some deep meaning and plot, this isn't going to deliver. But if you're just looking for a guilty pleasure anime to watch with some very attractive boys (10 to be exact) then this is great. I suggest watching the first season before this one though the plots (or lack there of) don't really connect on a level where you'd absolutely need to see the first season. So overall Diabolik Lovers: More Blood is definitely just a guilty pleasure anime and nothing more. The story doesn't go anywhere. At least in season 1 the pitiful plot was wrapped up properly. In MB we don't even really know what the plot is until the second to last episode. And then when it finally is revealed the season ends completely inconclusively. They left it wide open for a third season which I have no doubt they'll make. There is little to no character development at all. Maybe they could do better with that if the shows were longer than 15 minutes. The good points for this anime is the art style is lovely and the music is superb. But other than that Diabolik Lovers: More Blood is pretty one dimensional and not worth the time if you're looking for something with a complex plot and deeper meaning.

This anime is ok. I can't say that it is the best reverse harem anime I have ever seen because there are better ones like Akatsuki No Yona and La Corda D'Oro. The first season was actually better than the second season. The story is kind of boring. The story does not grab the attention of those who are watching it. I am not saying that it is bad. It's not horrible like School Days or anything. They should have just finished off with the first season with an ending where Ayato and Yui becomes a couple. The "Eve" and "Adam" thing was kind of.....I don't know how to describe it. The story doesn't make any sense. The only thing that happens in this season is that a new set of guys have kidnapped the girl and are sucking her blood and calling her "Eve". Overall this anime was ok but not that good. At least it's better than Fifty Shades of Grey!

Story -3- The story of Diabolik Lovers: More Blood follows Yui as she continues her life with the vicious vampires. However, this time a new group kidnaps her. They seem to think that her blood is that of ‘Eve’ and by drinking that blood she gives them the power of ‘Adam.' It is never really explained what these powers would do, and if they were, it was glanced over. That is the whole story, with a lot of biting. There wasn’t real depth, and there truly was nothing unique about the story line. It was clear that it was pulling straight from the game that it was based on. There was no real attempt to make the boys relatable, nor the main character. There were some vaguely interesting points, as the threat of ‘werewolves’ and what was so different about Yui. The werewolves plot was the reason I bothered to stick around long enough. However, just when the werewolves were going to be introduced, the season ended. It was majorly disappointing and left an overwhelmingly sour taste in my mouth. Art -4- The art style was one of the better points of the season. While it was not that horrible of an art style, everyone was shining. The boys were attractive, but that was very much the point of the genre. If the boys were not the best point of the season, then something much have gone very wrong. The blood when shown, was very well done as well and the character designs were interesting to look at. However, everything else lacks in comparison. The background was rather dull, and when something was not the main point of the scene, the studio blurred it out, so that the focus was again on the main point. It was quick and showed how little they were thinking about the show overall. Sound -2- The voice acting was all right, and there isn’t much to complain about there. Unless we are talking about Yui, who would pause and stutter through each and every one of her lines. That was nothing against the voice actor, but the character, in general, was just annoying. Also, the background music seemed only to have two tracks that would repeat over and over again, driving the viewer insane. The sound that was the biggest problem, however, was whenever anyone would bite Yui. It happened every episode, and quite honestly, and it was the most ‘nails-on-chalkboard’ sound. There was most likely some meaning behind the sound being like biting into an apple (I doubt the producers would put that much thought into it, however), but it was so bothersome. Every time one of them would bite into her neck, I physically cringed. This would not have been a problem if they did not bite into multiple times, in every episode. It bothered me so greatly that I could not get over it. It was repulsive and so out of place with the show in a whole that there is no way the sound could ever score higher than a 2. Character -1- Where to start with this one. Every single character was one dimensional and fulfilled some shoujo ‘bad boy’ arch type. Yui, the main character whom the girls are supposed to relate to, was as deep as a puddle. Not only that but she was most likely the weakest female lead. She never thought for herself and was always feeling sorry for other people. It was infuriating. The boys from the first season were not expanded on, and they stayed overall the same as they were from the first season, other than Kanato. He seemed to get a little bit more sadistic than he was before, but that was only once and then he returned to being the same as always. The new boys were all the same as well, only with a little bit less in number. They all had a horrible past, and they all were ‘hiding behind tough skin.' There is a much better way to make the romantic interests interesting, rather than just make them all mysterious. With the characters being so dull and having such simple motives, there was no way to get invested in the plot, let alone care enough about what happens with the characters. Enjoyment -1- It should be clear by now that this was not enjoyable in any way. With dull characters, a simple plot, and sound that physically makes someone cringe, there was nothing to enjoy in this, in any way. There were times that you could find yourself laughing at the sheer stupidity of it all. Multiple shoujo harems do the whole idea much better than this one. Amnesia is the first one that comes to mind. The men are all mysterious, have multiple layers, and the heroine has a reason to be as clueless as she is. Yui has no excuse as she is a priest’s daughter. This is a simple waste of time, the only interesting thing it has to offer is dangled in front of the viewer, only to be stolen away in the last few minutes. Overall -2.2- The only reason this does not score lower is simply that the art was not terrible and the plot at least had something it pretended to offer. Otherwise, this was a cash grab to those who might have enjoyed the game. It is always difficult to change a game into an anime; however, this was just poorly done. Maybe it was simply a bad choice to turn into an anime in general. With such flat characters and a protagonist that makes one groan aloud from her idiotic decisions, it was so bad it appears the problem lies with the source material. This is to be doubted however as any good company can make bad source material into something much more attractive.

Well I'm back to review season 2 of this show, let me tell you,I really wasn't expecting much after that horrible first season. And I don't know if it was cause of me doing that that anything would impress me or because it was true, but I did end up liking this more than the first season so I'll rate it one higher than the first season. Now that's not saying much though, going from a 2 to a 3 isn't something to write home about. It was still a pathetic season but I actually enjoyed a couple scenes here and there this time around. With the new 4 characters, I ended up liking them a little more than the sakamaki douche clan. They at least treat the main girl, Yui, with some decency. I actually enjoyed some ( Repeat Some >.<) of the scenes between them and Yui this time around. While the other brothers just got me irritated whenever they were on screen. These guys are supposed to be the main love interests for Yui and I ended up rooting for thier rivals more than for those douchebags >,< Now don't get me wrong, the rivals have thier douchey qualities as well (cause this show can't have even one all around good guy) but at least with them I saw some redeemable qualities which is way more than I can say for our first 6. As for Yui, she is still as much a one dimensional character in this season as she was in the last one, and still as useless as ever. I really don't know what else I can say about her at this point :/ In this season it looks like they at least attempted to have a storyline but the story itself was poorly explained and confusing. And it kept getting pushed aside or forgotten completely every few episodes just for more scenes of Yui getting passed around like a bag of chips again, up until the last few episodes. By the end it felt so rushed I still don't really know what happened at the ending of it all ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ I can't even say that ending was even an ending. The second to last episode was left on a cliffhanger and it wasn't even close to resolved by the end of the last episode, in fact absolutely nothing was resolved by the last episode. I had to go on the wiki to read what the hell just happened and I got more insight from the story from there than from the show itself. That's what happens when you really start a story 3 episodes before the ending.Confusion. Even though I think this is a little better than the last season it was still a very poor season with little to no character development, non-existent story and unrelatable characters. I'm going to say the same thing here that I said in my last review. I wouldn't waste my time with this show, if you're really interested in watching it I would suggest playing the game instead, you're bound to get more enjoyment from it than from this piece of crap. Learn from my mistakes.(^.^)

I have no idea why I watched this anime to the end as it was very infuriating. As a girl, I find the way yui was treated very degrading. The new brothers are nicer but the still treat her badly to some extent. There is no snippet of affection towards this poor girl even though they all claim her to belong to them. Not to mention she is completely and utterly useless, not being able to speak up for herself. It is disgusting how bad this anime is and the fact that it is aimed towards female viewers. The brothers from both families are not consistent at all. The brothers in the first family are concerned as to where she is but do nothing to retrieve her. The two main guys actually claim that she is theirs while they both suck her blood. I mean where is the possessiveness? The say one thing but their actions depict something else. If I claimed something as mine I wouldn't let other people touch them but oh no, not with this anime it's like a fricken party all up on yui's bod. Just take your share, we don't care! Even though Ayato claims that she is his alone. There are no words to describe how bad this anime was in terms of plot and characterisation. Not to mention no affection what so ever was shown toward her throughout the 12 episodes which I watched all of, praying that it would get better, it didn't. The first season of this was a little better in comparison to this but it was still a drink fest in regards to how they treated yui but at least they showed some ounce of affection toward her.

The story I didn't enjoy the story very much because it has almost no development. The art The art is pretty, but nothing outstanding. The sound It is pretty decent. The characters The main heroine has no personality. And the rest of the characters aren't too complex either. I can't get attached to none of them. Enjoyment I enjoyed certained parts of the series, but it is very repetitive and you can get bored easily. Overall If you are into anime with handsome and dominant vampires give it a go, especially it has only 12 episodes who are approximately 8-9 minutes long. But don't get to excited because it can get pretty boring.
