I have very mixed feelings about this one. As I was watching it my score for it was 5 at best but somehow, after seeing all 12 episodes, it grew on me a bit. Biggest problem I had with this show was stupidity of main heroine. I wanted to scream when she was ignoring every sensible person around, and was choosing walking into traps, dangerous siruations and stuff like that instead. To be completely fair though, Ritsuka had her moments (which actually made me angry, cause if writers could do it, why not to keep it that way for the entire show?). I think she is most annoying in few first episodes which probably makes some people give up on watching the rest. I decided to stick with it only because of that partially musical idea. Songs are catchy and at times made me chuckle a bit, but in a good way. I always saw musicals as cheesy, and it was exactly that. I wish more animes used the idea. Plot was ok. Maybe it was not the greatest of stories, but at least got wrapped up nicely in the end. Relations between characters as well as their backstories certainly could use more screen time, but I suppose they decided to keep those secret because of upcoming game. So shortly speaking. I had more fun than I expected even if some moments made me really frustrated. My final score is 6 with adnotation - you can watch it, but won't neceserly miss much if you won't.

Well, as someone who likes romance genre the most this anime didn't fit me well. Story: The love came out of the blue which I hate the most in romance stories. I would appreciate if there was more effort put into how and when... It's just not deep enough for me. The plot itself is lame. The beginning of her singing how she's a normal highschool girl (when you already know by the title that it's not like that) killed me. They made heroine seem dumb and asking too many questions about things that are obvious. Personally I cannot stand an anime in which the main character is annoying because you gotta put up with it every time you watch it and some people have short temper and drop the anime completely. I barely finished this one. Like I said nothing is explained like it should be. Overall it's pretty poor. Art: I must admit it's very good. Characters: We really don't know much about anyone and even at the very end it's not explained well. Poor I'd say. Enjoyment: Fair enough. Later episodes had me interested. Overall: I've seen worse so I'm rating it with 6 . It's not good enough but honestly it's not that bad either. The anime just wasn't for me. It was made for girls in general and especially for those who like this type. There is a point behind of it and it's a musical so the plot fits it. Even Romeo and Juliet's love didn't make much sense when you think about it. It's same with yaoi. Don't like it? Don't watch hahah

- Story - First of all, this is based on my own personal preference. I just don't get the singing while fighting. Its like an attempt to follow western musical movies that totally failed and ended up becoming 10/10 cringe worthy. It's just so annoying how it spoiled the character's appeal when they start singing! Poor Azuna, at least she's freed from the cringe singings. - Art - The art wasn't that appealing as well. No further comments! - Sound - Well as i've mentioned in the story, the singing were really cringy. The songs weren't even nicely written and it just sounds awkward watching them sing in the middle of a fight. Or out of nowhere. - Characters - Annoying singing aside, the heroine is even worse. Like how stubborn can you get? She seriously have a death wish yet she keeps going like "no i don't want to die" THEN DONT MIX WITH DEVILS CHILD. JUST DONT. Her VA has voiced really nice characters but......its just so cringy on her. The way she squeal/moan in pain is just ANNOYING too. Character design, why would you stop a girl's hair mid her face? Looks so awkward HAHA. 1 point for the good looking guys (Lindo & Shiki). - Enjoyment - How do you even enjoy such a cringy anime? - Overall - Disappointment level too high. Forget about rewatching it, i had to do other stuff like draw just to watch through this anime and finish it!

Dance with Devils, a reverse-harem; a genre which is dictated by it's bland, dumb heroines and stereotypical love interests. Although Dance with Devils is nothing I would call original, it is better than the likes of UtaPri, Brothers Conflict, Amnesia and all the other sad reverse harem out there. STORY(5/10): Dance with Devils is an anime I suggest you keep for a day when you've got no other anime to watch and you want to kill time. It's an anime that can be lame at times what with its out-of-place timing with songs, which are-by the way-supposed to tell us more about the character singing the song as is typical of any musical but the songs in this anime all go on about how much a particular character desires the MC Ritsuka. The redeeming features? Well for one, there is actually a decent romance for the MC and she isn't exactly hooking up with all the boys in the anime. That in itself is an improvement for an anime in this genre. And guess what? The heroine actually ends up with ONE guy instead of leaving an inconclusive end to the romance. Again, there is nothing too extraordinary about the plot which is quite predictable but you wouldn't get bored though and some episodes might actually keep you interested enough to know what's going to happen in the next one. ART(8/10): The art for this anime is decent. It's pretty to look at and rich in color. The character designs are also not half bad. SOUND(7/10): The sound is a conflict. While I never skipped the addicting OP and ED song, the character songs in every episode range from only bearable to highly absurd. There are two character songs I did like in the series, but overall, the lyrics are terrible and make you laugh and point at the screen going "Lame!". If you don't like characters suddenly bursting into songs in the middle of serious situations you can always skip the songs. You would hardly miss anything if you do. CHARACTER(6/10): If you've had the pleasure of watching Diabolik Lovers and Amnesia *cough sarcasm cough* you'd know they posess two of the most interestingly bland heroines you'll ever come across. They have no will of their own and they do what others want them to do. But we're not talking about other anime. Let's get back to the heroine of this anime. Ritsuka Tachibana, as a heroine isn't special. She isn't someone powerful and very often needs to be saved by one of the boys. But if there is one thing people who watch reverse harem will agree with me on, it is that this MC right here actually has a will of her own. She makes her own decisions(no matter if they are always stupid and reckless) and she can stand up to the guys if she wants. She just doesn't let anyone have their way with her without a struggle, no matter how small or insignificant that struggle is. And even though, more than half of the times she is protected by the boys, there are a few moments where Ritsuka saves herself. These traits, do make her a bearable(if not likeable) main heroine. The guys involved in this reverse harem are stereotypes ranging from the quiet one to the yandere. From the playboy to the masochist. You have them all but my favourite is Rem(the quiet one) for he really does love Ritsuka(as does Lindo) and protects her from the sidelines like a shadow. OVERALL ENJOYMENT(6/10): Save it for a day when you've got nothing to do and you don't want to watch too stressful of an anime. I wasn't bored throughout this anime, even for a second, and actually got a few snickers out of it at the lame character songs.

I don't have much to compare Dance with Devils too, because I haven't seen many reverse harem anime, but of the ones I have seen, this is definitely the best. Even though the plot was the typical vampires vs. demons schtick, it was well written and didn't feel overused like other anime with similar plots. The character development was a little lacking in some respects, but the characters were still likable and interesting. I was a little surprised at first by the singing and felt that it was a little out of place and corny, but after hearing a few songs, I really enjoyed them and thought they were well-written. I don't really think they're the types of songs you'd want to sing along to, but they did add a little something special to the anime. I'd recommend this anime to anyone whose looking for a romantic reverse harem that doesn't feel cliché or boring.

Can we just take a moment in how good Lindo looks in a frilly apron? Story: 7/10 Applause in escaping the usual reverse harem curse! Sure we have the usual, one episode per one guy to get to know him, but the end just focused in plot and the main two possible pairings (which is pretty obvious if you watch the opening). I really liked how they didn't just focus on devils but brought in the vampires and exorcists into it as well. Usually they just focus on one mythological race, like say, gods or vampires, but this one has it all. The story is nice and consistent, focusing on the main storyline rather than the romance, which most of the same genre tend to do (unless they can't pick a guy and it just ends up being very half-assed since most of the plot comes from picking a guy). It's nice to see that my original prediction was wrong as heck and the main villain is not, in fact, a devil. Art: 7/10 Uh.... so major deduction on the action scenes. Just couldn't animate it to look natural and not ridiculous. It's times like those that take away from the seriousness of the anime, but the rest is pretty dang beautiful. The character designs are great and all the guys looks sexy. Ritsuka is pretty but not impossibly so, so it takes away from the usual, you have to be super angelically pretty to get all dem hot guys. Really wish they didn't do the sudden change of clothing in the last couple of episodes since it makes them seem like power rangers and transform to fight the evil, but most of the time, their clothing is on point. Especially Ritsuka's final blue dress. It's really pretty. Sound: 8/10 Round of an applause to all the talented voice actors that sung in the anime! The lyrics were kind of ridiculous since they were designed to fit with the storyline of the anime and the anime only and can't really apply to any sort of situation you could end up in, but it wasn't painful to listen to. Rather is was quite beautiful. I mean, the cast didn't exactly include the main singers of the voice acting community (insert most of the cast of UtaPri right here), but I really liked the songs. And they were well placed and made sense and weren't over the top (StarMyu, I am looking at you) and the pseudo-MV in the middle of the episode was animated greatly, so zero complaints! Characters: 6/10 Nyeh.... typical characters for a reverse harem. The aloof, the flirt, the masochist (typical for a horror reverse harem), the bad boy, and the childhood friend (who isn't very friendish and more like family). I want to focus more on Ritsuka here since she ISN'T dumb and follows everything the male cast says. She actually thinks things through before triggering the flag event (because they have to be triggered, right?). She's not some sack of dough and actually plays a big part in the final conclusion. Most reverse harem heroines just kind of let things happen while Ritsuka makes things happen. It was nice to see someone where I don't get angry and pissed off because all she does is stand there and let everything drop to hell (namely Chizuru and Yui). The male cast is, as I said, typical for a reverse harem, but the finding of Ritsuka made my day. Enjoyment: 6/10 I liked watching Dance with Devils each week since it was beautiful and had a good plot and I was curious as to what would happen next. It wasn't really a "I MUST WATCH THIS AS SOON AS IT COMES OUT" but it wasn't exactly something I put off either. It was just a nice thing to watch during the middle of the week between my good Monday animes and strong weekend animes. Overall: 7/10 Appealing to look at and appealing to watch. It's sort of new to the reverse harem genre, and I am willing to watch a second season (since that's definitely how they ended. They're definitely planning on a second season. Please tell me I'm not just being paranoid). But I guess now that they don't have the grimoire to chase, I wonder what they would make the seconds season about. Hopefully a more satisfying end romantically.

I liked this anime so much I had to write a review for it. I haven't written a review before, so I'll just start with getting my biases aside. A lot of people who know of Dance with Devil's creator, Rejet, may recognize the name as the original creator of Diabolik Lovers. If you're going to start comparing DwD with DL, stop. I generally dislike harems/reverse harems and especially anime adaptations of otome games, but DwD is originally an anime that will get an otome game soon. I actually only decided to watch DwD when it was announced because I'm a fan of Rejet (not the DL anime, though) and an avid otome gamer. When I finally listened to the character song samples a month before it aired, I finally got into it. It was something I didn't expect I would like so much at all in the beginning, but here I am now. Dance with Devils is a musical anime. Think Uta no Prince-sama or High School Star Musical. Now take away the music-related plot. There's absolutely no reason they had to sing, but they did. And it's either glorious or cringe-worthy, or both. You can decide. As a 12-episode anime, I think to enjoy this sort of thing you would need to relax a bit... Not be too uptight about it. Just chill and sit back. It's hella cliche, whatever cliches possible they'll throw at you. Like most anime, some suspension of belief might be necessary. Story: 7 If I were a bit more lenient, about 7.5 or so. The plot isn't a masterpiece. Like I said, cliches are common. It's a fight between Devils, Vampires, and Exorcists for the Forbidden Grimoire, with our heroine, Tachibana Ritsuka, as the key to it. There's an episode focusing on every main guy, and it takes a while to get the plot moving. Typical for a reverse harem. But for a reverse harem, DwD has a serious plot (despite the singing). Some of the more important plot developments are shoved together with silly moments in some episodes, making them a bit of a mess sometimes. However, most of the plot points do tie together in the end, although I definitely would have liked more episodes so it wouldn't have been as rushed. Were it longer, with the ending that it got I would bump it up to an 8. Art: 8 Ranges from 8-8.5. Like most anime, the art and animation can be a bit inconsistent. There's a lot of inconsistency in DwD to be honest, but if you average it out it's fairly good. I'm a bit familiar with the original character designer (Maeda Hirotaka)'s work, even though I've yet to actually play any of the games with his art. Honestly, there's something about his art that I'm not too fond of, but I could still recognize his distinct style in the characters despite the designs being adapted by Takashina Yuka. Depending on the cut, the art is very appealing to me at times. To the point I really want to shake the hand of whoever worked on it for depicting the characters (and in particular, my favourite character) so beautifully. Sound: 8 Elements Garden does the music. I'm not too familiar with music, to be honest, so the first title that comes up is Uta no Prince-sama (well whaddaya know). I pretty much like all the music in this, even the ones I don't like that much. I'm more familiar with insert songs than bgm, so I'll go by that. Every episode has at least one song, and some I'm not too fond of but I end up singing along with them, unfortunately. I like most of the main guys' character songs. There are the musical anime versions sung in the anime, and the original character songs, too. They all suit the characters very, very much. The lyrics might be a bit embarrassing in the anime, though. For some of the other songs, I feel like they sound a bit awkward (in particular EMOLIAR, although it's catchy and I do like the theme, it felt all over the place to me), although if I had to choose then I'd say I like them in the end (like KETTO~Yuzurenai Semegiai~ and Crazy about you). The music might be the make-or-break point for someone's enjoyment in the anime... particularly because it's a musical anime and some of it is downright embarrassing. Also, the voice acting is great. Naturally. I became a huge Saitou Souma fan because of Rem, snowballing from ever since I heard his character song sample before the anime aired. It's ridiculous, as I wasn't interested in any of the cast (which was why I wasn't too interested when it was announced). He uses a lower voice for Rem, and it really speaks volumes about his range. Hatano Wataru gets an unusually kind and caring big brother character, Lindo; Kondou Takashi pulls off Urie way too well. Kimura Subaru might have been the only choice for Mage, especially with his songs and the English in them. I'm not a fan of Hirakawa Daisuke, though, and some people had the same opinion that they wanted a bit of a younger voice for Shiki; however, we've all gotten used to Hirakawa now, and he really shows how disgusting Shiki is. Also, sometimes I forget Suzuki Tatsuhisa is part of the main cast, but he also does the Mysterious Young Man role well. The subcast is also good, like Jek and Nesta and whatnot. Character: 7 7.5 maybe. As a reverse harem-themed anime, the characters are pretty important. The entire student council are Devils, while Ritsuka's brother is an Exorcist... which was revealed when DwD was announced, but doesn't become apparent to her until later. Until then, she's caught up with most of the guys' schemes in their respective episodes. If this were longer, we might have learned a bit more about the characters. Unfortunately, only 2 of the guys get the most exposure, while the Devil Trio as I like to call them are more support, and then we have the ??? character. Rem is the student council president and the "leader" of the Devils... or should be, if only they listened. He's rather cold and expressionless. Some people say he has the emotional capacity of a rock because how little you see on his face, since he's put emotions aside and only "uses those around him as pawns" to obtain the grimoire. Urie is Rem's childhood friend. The flirty playboy guy. He's an incubus apparently, and he loves calling all girls and the heroine "butterfly." He has some sort of obsession with capturing them and "holding them until they break." Mage is the ore-sama who hates complicated stuff like scheming. The most important thing is his own strength, and he likes to show it off. Surprisingly, he ended up having a lot of fans since his episode. Shiki is the creepy fallen angel. He's disgusting. Gross. I'm not even insulting him because that's just his personality. A sadomasochistic fallen angel who loves destruction. Fairly popular among Western fans... Lindo is Ritsuka's big brother, and an exorcist. To him, protecting Ritsuka is the most important thing. I think he's supposed to seem cool but all I can think is he's a siscon along with the fact he's the only main guy who doesn't have ulterior motives when it comes to Ritsuka and the grimoire. ??? or the Mysterious Young Man. His identity is revealed later on, but he speaks rather politely but also has reasons to go after Ritsuka. Might know a lot more than the other characters. Let's just say he's extremely loyal. There's quite a bit of the subcast, like Maria, Ritsuka's mother, whom Ritsuka goes to look for after the vampires take her away, so she gets involved with the Devils/student council. Azuna is Ritsuka's best friend who I think deserved much better. And Jek is a vampire who seemed to received short-lived popularity later on. Depending on who you are, you might be fed up with Ritsuka. Personally, I'm defensive of heroines. The somewhat forced main point of her character is that she stands up to the student council and asserts her own opinion equally, which is why they develop an interest in her aside from the fact she's the key to the grimoire. I like that part about her, although I don't like the cliche ("Oh, you talked back to me... You're interesting." sort of thing). She's supposed to be just a normal high school girl, though, …

Dance with Devils is a self-indulgent reverse harem with attractive devils and vampires trying to capture the heart of a relatively plain heroine due to her connection with a powerful force. It's also a musical! The musical aspect of the anime is its strongest asset. The characters would sing out of nowhere, along with some epic music video segments to express how the singer feels. The songs themselves are catchy and suit the tone of the story. The male characters mostly stick to archetypes, but they are likeable enough to let that slide. Furthermore, the reasons why they attempt to swoon Ritsuka actually makes sense and far beyond "The heroine inspires them" or something. Ritsuka Tachibana is the main heroine of the story and she's not that bad. She's average, but compared to her competition she relatively has more personality. The story of Dance with Devils and what brought the harem together are basic on paper but the musical element of it makes it still compelling to watch. Interestingly, it's an original otome anime and not an adaptation to a game. In fact, the game came after this show. As a result, for a harem the story is more or less solid with a specific love interest in mind. The animation and artwork are great. The OST is definitely the showstopper. Dance with Devils may not be deep in terms of story, it's nonetheless an enjoyable anime musical where self-indulgence can actually be enjoyable.

I watched this to humor a friend. Don't do that. If you are not taken in by the music or the character designs then there is absolutely nothing for you here. Even those two elements, which seem the most important aspects of the show, are woefully underdeveloped. Songs are roughly a minute and a half long and display no synergy whatsoever with the emotional beats of the story (of which there are few to none). The lyrics have no flow or literary value and are flat descriptions of the actions occurring on screen. I have already forgotten what any of it sounds like. The main character is a cardboard airhead who is the most standard peace loving and hopelessly clueless shojo protagionist with self esteem issues you can imagine, and three of the five harem boys are deplorable rapey psychopaths. Nobody is given any notable development and each character just repeats the same interactions over and over. They are extremely by the numbers one note archetypes. The plot revolves around the most basic, predictable, and vague twilight-esque nonsense and is dispensed to the viewer entirely via dialogue exposition. For some reason this takes up a large portion of the show, to the point where it overshadows character interactions, which I thought was supposed to be the main draw of this kind of show. There is not a single moment of the show that manages to surprise the viewer or subvert expectations in any way. On top of everything the show seems to struggle to overcome a tight budget and suffers from a great deal of animation short cuts and a lack of transitionary sequences. I hated my experience with this show and it was an absolute slog to get through. There was very little enjoyment to be had even in critically ripping it apart by the second half, since it reveals the only hand it has quite early on. It wasn't even fun to watch as a joke for a friend. If you are not drawn in by the sexual allure of edgy anime boys then run far, far away from this show and don't look back.

I actually loved watching this so much. It's the kind of dreadful that is also hilarious. I didn't know much at all about this anime as I went in and when a character started singing I assumed it was the opening theme and thought, oooh, that's clever, woven into the story. But no. It's the whole anime. It's a goth anime musical. Everyone even gets their own character song. If you have a sense of humour, just try it. I don't think you'll enjoy the story but I do think you'll enjoy the characters songs and plunging into weird abstract music video montages.

♪A dance with devils, Sure they are evil, But at least there are some musical upheaval♪ Dance with Devils looks like like your typical reverse harem, yet with some flair and some cliches utilized well, Dance with Devils isn't your typical reverse harem anime and here's why. Dance with Devils' flourishes with it's "musical numbers" in every episode and this was the element that got LA intrigued by this anime in the first place and even the aesthetics of this anime make it out like it's a theater play and theater plays being VERY popular in Japan, the fusion of anime and musical was inevitable to say the least. The musical numbers in all aspects helps with the characters in this regard, you know your "I want" song to motivation songs especially from the harem in question. But yeah the musical numbers were a neat gimmick that helped with it's aesthetics. Dance with Devils still holds true to it's cliches of the reverse harem genre, mainly the helpless main heroine to the douchebag, jerkass harem, BUT the characters aren't just like that especially Ritsuka Tachibana voiced by Himika Akaneya the main heroine who wants to find her abducted mother and find the "forbidden grimoire" in order to do so and Rem Kaginuki voiced by Some Saitou the student council president, a devil and is ALSO after the forbidden grimoire, so you can see why Ritsuka and Rem meet. ♪As for the rest of the harem, they are mostly venom, but LA can bear some.♪ Much like Mage Nanashiro voiced by Subaru Kimura is the power hungry jerk, but is deep down a TSUNDERE, but the "venom" for LA that LA couldn't care less were Shiki Natsumezaka voiced bu Daisuke Hirakawa, the masochistic creep stereotype and Urie Sugami voiced by Takashi Kondou the ojou narcissist the stereotype. Ohh and add Lindo Tachibana voiced by Wataru Hatano, Ritsuka's older brother...yeah he's in the harem but it's uhh complicated and he has a MAJOR siscon complex with "some" depth to him and some backstory but yeah..."kinda incest but not really". Rem is the ONLY one of worth in the plot, as his motivations and goals clash with one another and quite easily as stoic of a demeanor he has, he shows some obvious feelings for Ritsuka and not be an absolute jerk about it, so yeah quite honestly LA rooted for Ritsuka and Rem, but that's kinda expected when the anime itself pushes this too. ♪Dance with Devils has many mysteries but ain't filled with stupidities♪ As there is one central mystery that of the grimoire, but there are little smaller ones concerning Ritsuka and Lindo and their backstories that link back to the grimoire as a result and once the bigger picture arises, the stakes does gradually rises to the point of war AND the rest of the world. LA does have some flaws towards Dance with Devils however, with as much of "decent" praise LA gave Dance with Devils, the anime does tend to get predictable to a certain extent, the signs are easily there (not exactly helped with the musical numbers) but to defend this flaw, LA WILL say for a reverse harem, this anime brings in a decent level of consequences that can't be changed, redone by the harem, it happens and thus the stakes does indeed get higher as a result. Shiki, Urie and Mage ultimately were a waste of time unless you like them and by the end of it they became satellite characters to Rem. Ritsuka was probably the most interesting character in this anime and for being the main heroine of a reverse harem, that does make a step up from the likes of Diabolik Lovers (obviously), as she's motivated and driven, has a personality because of that and she at the end is NO pushover BUT in comes the last problem LA had with the anime and that is she goes through the typical damsel in distress scenarios ALOT, she does get better as she becomes the arbiter of her own fate instead of the harem forcing her too (which never happens) but nonetheless Ritsuka as a main heroine of a reverse harem, she's very similar to Yuu Kusanagi from Kamigami no Asobi but had some of the typical trappings of the reverse harem genre. ♪Production values, ain't shallow♪ The animation done by Brains Base is VERY aesthetically pleasing to say the least, atmospherically great especially with the musical numbers, LA did like the character designs especially from Ritsuka and her costumes but the rest of the character designs were polished and decently animation with no derps in this respect. Brains Base actually did a decent job in it's animation and another of the great elements of this anime. Voice acting and well singing wise, the voice cast were pretty great all round. Himika Akaneya as Ritsuka was great and though she doesn't sing that much she did get to sing a bit to show off her range and does have a decent amount of range. The harem have most of the singing duties and they were pretty good, especially with their syncing and theatrical cadence at that, from Souma Saitou, Wataru Hatano, Daisuke Hirakawa, Subaru Kimura, Tatsuhisa Suzuki and Takashi Kondou. Yeah to say that the entire cast have to go through double duty of voice acting AND singing, LA will give them props for that, though one small little nitpick (not flaw) was that the singing did tend to be...you know "talk singing" than singing in some musical numbers that weirdly pushed LA out of the anime, but that was just LA and rare at that. The finale was great in all respect as Ritsuka deals with the "big bad" of the anime as it were once again showing that she has control over her own fate and decisions as well as finality towards Ritsuka and Rem and add in a dash of Lindo development. The ending was sad in a ways but still a great ending overall. Dance with Devils is an interesting brand of reverse harem especially with those musical numbers, yes they have some of the trappings and cliches of it, from a harem that mostly is useless and being jerks about it, the main heroine stuck in damsel in distress moments and being predictable, but utilized some of these cliches to do something not only new and refreshing but playing against the genre that SHOULD be the norm, the BEST and most well liked element being that the main heroine isn't a pushover and she drives the plot at that. ♪Diabolik Lovers this ain't, but it was quite quaint, Kamigami no Asobi it can relate♪

When I started watching Dance With Devils it was because I saw good reviews for the anime from several Youtubers. What I found was literally a fetish-based, no-story crap compilation with the emotional depth of my sink. No, that's an insult to my sink as it has much more emotional complexity than the character in this show. Story & Characters: The story goes by the premise that there exist a book of powerful magic, with no back story or explanation, that gives absolute control of the world to those that get it. Vampires and demons/devils are fighting over it and trying to find it by hounding a family that seems to be connected to it somehow. What follows is a show where our weak willed heroine gets chased and seduced by devils saying "Fall in love with me!", "You're mine" or "Give yourself to me and tell me the location of the grimoire". The show has almost no character development, and the little development that is there amounts to "Rem saved me. I love him" and "I somehow feel attracted to you", ending with "Marry me! You are the devils daughter, so we can live together". The plot just keeps getting worse and more cheesy every episode for no reason. BTW, about every 5-7 minutes the character start singing, ignoring their current situations, which ranges from nothing to chasing the MC or being in a battle of life or death. Art & Sound: The art in the show is quite ok, with good character designs (though a bit too "stylish"). The soundtrack consist a large mix of japanese male pop idol singing, which didn't sit right with me. Overall: A bad show, despite an ok art style. I don't get how it got so good reviews, but I can only think that someone got off on the badly presented fetish material. I won't recommend watching this.

Well this anime is a mess. A complete mess that I really loved. Why? At first I thought it's cringy. And it is. From the beginning to the end. The story is strange and it doesn't really makes sense. However it slowly unfolds and makes it quite interesting to watch. To be honest it's just a simple harem story without any deep meanings but who cares when you have those lovable, unique characters? I know it's not that moving, serious anime but I enjoyed it and after years I still wish to see more animes like this. The tipical, gripping dark concept, the lovable, unique, interesting, sympathic characters, the absolutely great voice acting... I loved it all. Even the random songs each character sang. Some of them were actually pretty good... I recommend this anime for those who love interesting dark animes and complicated yet lovely romantic stories and for anyone who looks for simple, enjoyable anime.

I give this a 9 out of 10 because i've seen my fair share of reverse harems, usually the supernatural ones, have all abusive relationships with the lead, even with the love interest literally being devils, still treat the main better then half the reverse harems i've seen.Eye peeling artwork, and more important the one thing every reverse harem is missing. Singing anime boys, best part the in the dub the singing is still subbed, no dubbed awkward singing.Lastly, although there are still troupes in this harem, it does beat quite a few. 1. Main girl actually has another female friend 2.Main girl has parent(s), and family 3.She isn't living with the guys 4.She picks one at the end 5.She shows emotion and personality 6.It's not a happy ending,

Absolute trash! I loved it for this reason. I mean, it's always the same story about a nice shy girl who is surrounded by beautiful guys BUT it's a musical. A musical with trash songs. I didn't know whether to laugh or drop the anime. It's pure japanese trash. These songs are really catchy, I still listen to them every now and then. This is not an anime for those who search a deep show which deals with important and fundamental themes. This is PURE funny trash. If we exclude the ending... I cried a little bit at the end

I thought this would be the perfect anime for me as it had action and a bit of romance, but unfortunately, it was just not my cup of tea. First off, I think the biggest turn off in the anime was the random musical outbursts. They were so cheesy and not even cheesy that it was funny; just cheesy bad. I always skipped over them. The next part that I disliked was the characters personalities. Ritsuka was so annoying and every time she did something she knew she shouldn't, I wanted to scream at her. She acted all goody-goody but she was just annoying and she didn't have any depth as a character. Same goes with Rem. First off, he was always drawn as grumpy and in the English dub, his voice actor didn't put any true emotion into the character but by the way, the character was drawn and acted, there really wasn't much emotion to put into him anyway. I honestly don't think there were any characters that I truly liked. I gave the anime a 5/10 due to the fact that there were some parts that were interesting and piqued my interest but they were rare. I would definitely not rewatch this anime.

In general, I thought this anime was enjoyable. The music was great and the general design was good as well. I found the musical style of this anime to be very unique. All the songs in the anime are some of my favorites and are very catchy. However, the story was poor as were the characters themselves. Both were extremely cliche with no uniqueness. The creators did a good job in reaching out to many fans as the characters each embodied major cliches that are, in general, very popular. The main character, unfortunately, was like many other protagonists in reverse harems and was bland with little uniqueness. In the end, I thought the anime was enjoyable and I had a few laughs from the sudden breaking into songs. Most, if not all, the VA's have good singing so I have no complaints there. I think it's worth a watch because of it's unique musical-like features. ____ Incidentally, this anime has been turned into an otome game. I think the game will be a success as one does not need to worry about the bland protagonist. The characters may or may not be more developed as will the story. Enjoy!

This story had a lot of potential but didn't fully live up to it. It had both its ups and its downs just like any story would. Even though there was more good to the story, the downside almost out ways it. The story would have been better as a movie instead of a series. There were many fillers to make it to 12 episodes. Though the fillers were throughout the series, mixed in with the plot episodes. Filler episodes is one reason why long Anime are never interesting. The part I find fascinating is how they turned it into a musical sort of thing. It was partly enjoyable watching an Anime Musical. Something that is cliché in this genre, is that one of them refuses to admit he likes the main character, Ritsuka Tachibana, throughout the whole series until the end. The ending was what gave it an overall 7. Very interested in watching more after watching that though have it be a movie than a series. This is my very first review so I hope you find it helpful.

OK first and foremost, I thought this anime would suck (bite me :P). I kept seeing it pop up in recommendations from other anime I truly loved, and wanted more of. I gave it shot and was deeply surprised. Ok So just a short note, it's a freaking musical :D!!!! It totally is what made this the best ever. I was surprised and I kind of love it even more for that. Story 10/10 Well let's say it's a such a wonderful concept, and yes, it could of been taken so many different ways and levels. I think that they truly had the best idea and it was wonderfully detailed. The story took you for the ride along with the main character's. It made you feel like you could get lost, and never want to leave this world. Art 7/10 Nothing special, your typical anime art. Nothing stood out, and nothing was 'crappy' per say. I personally love this style, but you know, it's a common style of art. Sound 8/10 The sound had wonderful parts to it, and all the voices blended wonderfully. I can say, I wouldn't mind buying the sound track. Even the sounds effects weren't to shabby. Character 10/10 the character's in general, where wonderful. You learn about who they are, and there purpose along side the main lead. They made it so, you could feel how she does, when learning about them. They didn't rush any part of the development of them, and took time to let it sink in. I was truly surprised. Enjoyment 10/10 I loved this series. I normally don't enjoy things as much as I loved this. It was a rollercoaster of love and hate. I didn't want to put the computer down. It had a surprising element in it, and that made it so much better. Overall 9/10 Loved it enough said, I probably will never give an 10/10 of overall. This came close to being one though. So, if you like reverse harem, cute boys, craziness, and a rollercoaster of feelings, this is the anime for you. Also there might be a second season.

I happened to run into this anime upon chance and thank goodness I did. This is defenately the type of anime I enjoy.Yes dramatic anime can be fun and all but well I prefer animethat has some humor in it and romance as well. Well this anime manages to have that all at once, it can be pretty cheesy at times but that is one of the reason's why is so hilarious. The plot can be pretty predictale but I mean what anime plot isnt?XD If you are just looking for an anime to pass time then I would defenately recommend to give it a shot. The best way to describe it without spoiling it..hmm.. well let's just say if you are one of the type of people who can appreciate rosario vampire for what is meant to be then you will defenately enjoy this!
