Please don't watch this anime if you're looking for huge character development and a gorgeous moving story, because it's simply not the reason why it was created. I don't want to analyze every single aspect of this anime, I just want to say that it was VERY enjoyable. The reverse harem parts didn't feel weird or out of place and they especially didn't feel overbearing, which is extremely important to me. It was a story with elements of reverse harem, not a reverse harem with episodes filled with legit anything the writers can think of just to make the male characters harass the girl. Ritsuka (the main girl) was actually pretty strong and not a damsel in distress, which is something I really enjoy seeing. Another thing that surprised me about this anime is that you just don't expect the songs. When they first start singing you think "Ok... What the hell is going on" but it works!! You almost look forward to the songs as the episodes progress to see what they'll do in that situation. They absolutely are not masterpieces, but they fit with the story at least. Also about the songs, the sort of MVs playing during the songs are truly iconic. They sing while fighting. They exorcise demons. There's a choir of little pomeranians at one point. There's even a song called "Emo Liar". C'mon. How is that not great? Overall I felt like giving it an 8 cause while in my opinion it IS a great anime, it just didn't feel right considering the entire thing. Very enjoyable though, that's for sure.

Story: I think the idea for the story was good, but being a musical I think it kind of ruined it a bit, they would just start singing out of nowhere and most times in situations where you wouldn't even understand why the song was being sung Art: I liked the art, the colors were cool, the design of it was great and I liked the girls uniforms Characters: In the begining I really liked Ritsuka she seemed like someone who could stand up for herself without being too much of heroine, but as the story began unfolding it seemed to me like she began to be a bit helpless Overall I think the idea of it was great but I don't think it was well utilized, however, I don't think it was a waste of time either.

Just watched the last episode of Dance with Devils and was highly disappointed. It was just so shit and unfulfilling. Like the romance was there and then it was denied, YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT. I found Ritsuka's character development and the reasons for why the demons (beside Rem) fell in love with her to be near non-existent. The animation was okay but it could of been better, I saw too many derpy faces and the lip-syncing wasn't the best. This story did have potential but I feel like it kinda got flushed down the toilet. The scene just before the credits was like "Ooooh~ possible sequel." No. Just no. I don't want to sit through any more bullcrap. I have lost hope in studio Rejet (or should I call them Reject).

When I thought about beginning this anime, I was unsure about it. If you ask me now, my instincts were right. I don't say it's the most horrible anime I've ever seen, There are some animes that really got from me much lower points, but for me to give 7 to an anime is pretty uncommon. Why? The story itself was interesting in a way, but in a certain point, I hardly cared what is going to happen. I didn't get much excited from the cliché moments. It felt more like a way to spend time, especially in the beginning. About the art, I must say, it wasn't horrible, but these things don't really interest me from the beginning. I'm from those who can watch animes drawn by hand. But Rem's shoes just annoyed me. About the sound. Except for the first line of the ending, I couldn't find myself loving both opening and ending. I admit, I don't listen to ost much. But in each episode, there's a song (In the first or second one there are even two!) To say I'm going to listen to them ever again... Hell, no. I didn't love them at all. They didn't sound good at all and were pathetic, they could just say it with words. I watched anime about singers, and most of the time they sing in a certain context, as stupid as it is. But I also love musicals, so that for itself should not be the problem, I was excited by the idea of "musical anime" but that's until listening to the songs themselves. Most characters were pretty boring, and sometimes I found the not so important Azuna more interesting then Rem or Ritsuka. Isn't it sad? About enjoyment... As I said, it was more like making time pass by than really enjoying. Why did I watch it to the end? I'm not sure myself. Shortly, the anime felt pointless, Not horrible that I so regret watching that every time I'll think of it I'll get irritated (There are some animes like that), but surely not one I'll watch again or recommend.

It was mediocre at best and annoying at worst ... with just the idea of incest. ~ Please forgive any spelling errors. English is not my native language. I've seen worse reverse harem anime. But that doesn't mean this anime is good. The animation was good enough and the character design was ok, even if some of the outfits were...well, interesting. The songs in between weren't all bad. But mostly I found that the songs were firstly: "not necessary" (everything in the songs could have been easily explained) and secondly: "not necessarily good". As in many reverse harem anime, the female protagonist was a great blur. You learn relatively little about the "cute boys" who are (romantically) interested in our "heroine" for reasons I don't fully understand. And I won't even touch Lindo. ~ Again, sorry for any possible errors.

You must watch this with English dub! Its like watching ghost Story all over again!! Its hilarious!!! So let me just break it down to you: Intro and outtro was nice. Catchy and I enjoyed it! Animations and drawing style was good. I liked it all! Specially the way they added all the special effects! I watched it with dub, which made all their songs and singing/duets horrible translated. Which made it ten times more fun. It was like watching ghost Story English dubbed all over again haha :D Story here is where it get a little bumpy. I really enjoyed the concept and the story of the anime..and to some degree i actually liked the ending outside the castle. (Not saying anymore to prevent spoiling) what i did not like was what happen after that. Im unsure if they were debating of making a season 2 or what the heck that ending was... like they could at least tell us what happens more along with the demons and the vampires.. like add an extra episode instead of just rushing that vague ending with a short lame squeezed in song duet! I really wanna know what happens after!! And the continues !!!! Hate it when they leave it up to our imaginations.. But yes relaxing anime, super chill to have in the background while working yet interesting enough to make u wanna keep going..

This anime isn’t made to be enjoyed seriously. It cannot be, I laughed way too much in some scenes. So in my review I consider this as a parody like anime Story Nothing great but nothing bad too. The pacing is very inconsistent, sometimes an episode flies off and sometimes it feels like it’s an hour long episode. As far as the story and plot go, it’s nice, it’s a dark fantasy romance with some twists and sentimental tension. We have the typical love triangle, forbidden love and family member messing in because he’s scared for his lil sister. I really don’t see major plot problem nor pacing problems Art It’s just really pretty. I’m kinda biased since I like a lot the artist’s style but it’s well animated. Honestly apart from some moments like in every anime, it was good Sound It’s both a pro and a con. The seiyuus all did a fantastic job and they sing very well but erm about what they were singing. Many songs with their visuals were hilarious to listen to and look at. Not gonna spoil anything but the way they burst into songs in the middle of nothing, while singing bullshit and having crazy visuals, I couldn’t stop myself (that’s also why I strongly think it wasn’t meant to be serious). The opening and ending are both incredible, the opening had a more serious feeling and the ending gave twisted circus vibes. The ending was so good that I don’t even think I skipped it once, I preferred (badly) singing along Characters We have 3 categories of main characters -The heroine : She was nice. She was different from many reverse harem anime, not insufferable, just a normal highschooler -The love rivals : Rem was pretty boring ngl, but he was still sweet with the heroine so that gives a pass. Then Lindo who is the incest love interest, he is the heroine’s cousin. He was more on the funny side, going to extreme measures to protect his family. He also have the pancake scene that immediately makes him a great character -The 3 nerds in the background : Their utility ? Bickering in the background while the love rivals try to make moves on the heroine. Really those 3 are great, I’m talking about Mage, Shiki and Urie. Making them more like side characters was also a great choice because that way we can focus more on the love triangle. Oh and there is also Roen, he’s a good boi with a pretty funny song Enjoyment As I said, the pacing was nice, characters too and it was very funny. Of course I had a great time. I laughed so much, and still do, at that one song from the boss fight. Overall My best advice would be to not take it seriously, just take it as it is. Funny lovable characters, serious plot, nice pacing overall, very pretty animation, banger opening and ending, hilarious music sequences. It’s a pretty thing with a nice romance and laughs. Hell it’s not even a reverse anime in my opinion, since it focuses more on a love triangle. 8/10, would love to see more dogs singing the chorus

spoiler warning, there are spoilers throughout this review: When I first started watching this, I accepted my fate entirely. I knew without a doubt how ridiculous and dramatic the show would inevitably be. And it definitely met my expectations. From the sado-masochist emo boy, to the objectified ariana-grande style dressed himbo, the effeminate guy who sweeps his predatory behavior underneath the pretense of being a “flirt” and of course the tall, brooding, suppressed blond who’s won the game before it has even begun. This harem anime presented everything I was looking for and every type of man I could lust over without the guilt of them being real human beings I’d be subject to my own depraved thoughts. Except there was one more love interest that came so out of left-field, that I was disappointed in myself for not having predicted it sooner. Because at this point I’d made a game of guessing what the next ridiculous twist would be, and was right more times than I was wrong. Though to be fair that says more about just how much trash romance media I’ve consumed, than an objective statement on the quality of the plot. Anyways, a borderline-almost-certainly incestuous relationship in an anime? Who would have thought? It was a perfect reminder of the very reasons I stopped watching anime for so long, to begin with (besides my own issues with attention and commitment but that's another discussion). What sucked was that his solo song was perhaps one of the best in the show?? Oh yeah, I forgot to mention... it’s a musical!! Honestly, I only realized this a couple of episodes in, which proves just how slow of a person I am, but I loved it! Any intense or charged moment of dialogue or tension would immediately be interrupted by a song. It was laughably awesome. Kind of wished I binged this show whilst high or something instead of routinely watching it as part of my daily routine, but I don’t think it would have been necessary to enjoy the full extent of ludicrousness on display. Watching this simultaneously alongside a fantasy romance novel about demon princes genuinely enriched the whole experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend doing so. I was already lusting on the low for demons/ devils/ supernatural dangers so the feelings were fully developed, to begin with. As they always have been, which might have to do with religious guilt and the unprecedented levels of h-word ness that I contend with on a daily, but anyways... The brother, who is actually... her cousin!!!? I genuinely loved this sorta justification, because it definitely did make me hate the yandere redhead less, and the bile that was slowly working it’s way up my throat every time I would see her in his vicinity was starting to get lowkey unbearable. It did kindaa open the floodgates for me to simp for the redhead, because let’s not forget the anger issues and vampire heritage that credit his sex appeal, and my heart actually ached for him by the end of the show. Maybe it’s because I’m an empath, and perhaps because the bar is so low for anime men in romance that the fact he’s her cousin is not enough to faze me, that I actually began to ship him... with me. Haha you thought I’d support an alabama-inspired dynamic, just because it’s in my own bloodline if you skip a couple generations back, doesn’t mean I endorse cousin-on-cousin incest. Anyways... the ending! The fight with the vampire dilf-king was legendary and I enjoyed the precisely one minute of autonomy Ritsuka was given, girlboss moment, pop-off vagina slay my queen! Did I support the eventual pairing, honestly... yeah? It was pretty obvious and if I was given the choice between a 6ft+ guy (who unfortunately happens to be blond) and my cousin-who-i-thought-was-my-brother I’d arrive at the same conclusion. But the three other guys!!! Self insert moment here but honestly speaking bestie, like from the heart, I’d probably split my week up between emo boy, himbo and the Lindo and fully vacate to the demon realm, like I love my family but if I stay in this realm I might just have to witness myself ruin my own life, lol. Anyways gonna watch another reverse harem anime because they seem to be the only thing that incites a dopamine rush these days. Definitely recommend it if you are as unhinged as I am and have an affinity for content that is so-trash-that-its-genuinely-perfection.

This is my first review so excuse me if it's bad. I just needed to, after watching this show. This is your warning to click away and watch something worth the time. But if you're into shows that leave everything to be desired, then by all means, watch this. I was looking for a good reverse harem show when I stumbled upon this recommendation. The whole musical aspect was a little bit of a turn off for me but none the less I decided to give it a go. To start off I'd like to say the most enjoyable thing about this show was the art, but that's just about as much as I can say. There was little to no story besides everyone chasing after some magical book so they could rule the world. Being pinned as a romance, you'd at least expect some type of build up with the MC's but you won't get that. Instead you'll get a bunch of guy's looking at a girl once and suddenly falling in love with her. She's nothing special to mention, I saw background characters look more interesting than this bland and boring girl. She continued to amaze me with how stupid she was, blindly following guy after guy to wherever he tried to take her. The last two episodes were the only time's she did anything close to fighting for her cause. The musical aspect of this show was not good at all. Not to hate on the singers because I'm sure they didn't write the lyrics but half the songs made no sense at all throwing random words back and forth. I watched the Dub of this show so maybe the Sub makes more sense or sounds better but truly, for this show being a musical you'd expect better songs. Finally, I just like to say it feels like the creators of this show truly didn't care how it turned out, they simply just wanted something to promote their game. I've seen other show's that have done the same and pulled off something 1000% better than this disgrace.

(NO SPOLIERS) I have given overall a rating of 5. I am having a hard time rating this anime though, because honestly it is not good. The characters are poorly developed, the singing parts seemed to come out of nowhere at times, I felt as if there was not much closure at the end, and really the plot is not anything note worthy. Despite all that, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It made me laugh, I was invested, and I have watched it twice. The thing is, I could not tell you why I enjoyed it so much, so honestly if you have not seen it, give it a go. I am still giving this an overall average score, because as much as I loved it, from an anime standpoint it was not anything that would or should stand out too much, and does not have the qualities that GOOD anime has. Keep in mind, I really enjoy typically stupid, trash anime.

Let me tell you something. This is, hands down, the best anime I have ever watched, and it is now my favorite BY FAR. If you love musicals, you will DEFINITELY fall in love with this anime just like I did. Ritsuka isn't your average "damsel in distress" type of girl. Most of the time, she takes matters into her own hands. Not once did I smack my forehead from her ignorance. If anything, she's a smart anime character. Her best friend Azuna is the BOMB also! Lindo *swoons*, Rem, Shiki *swoons*, Mage, Urie, and Loewen (Roen? Whatever *swoons*) are male characters that make for an amazing reverse harem. Did I mention already I love musicals? The songs in this anime are the catchiest things I've ever heard. The fact that they all SING their own SONGS is just... *swoons again, faints*. The intros and outros themselves are just two reasons to watch the anime, just saying, lol. "DANCE WITH DEVILS" IS A MUST-SEE, PEOPLE!!! <3

This anime was total shock for me!! I wasn't expecting anything but I really liked this one.. The begging it was confusing, we didn't understand anything about what were happen but It was on propose.. That was what get me stuck to the all story! The girl wasn't like usual, a weak girl it was more strong than the others normal females characters. And I like the fact that the love between characters wasn't the principal theme of anime that was a great think. And one thing I can't forget the battles with music!!! Oh my god!! That was so great!!! I LOVED THAT!!!! For everyone who likes musicals, shoujo and supernatural anime I think you should see this one!

One of those shows that's so bad it's good for the ironic watching. The musicals: 8. I watch it for the campiness. I laughed every time they burst into song. Singing Pomeranians! The rest of the show: 3. Kinda dull and mediocre. Art was okay for a reverse harem. Characters were one-dimensional and tropey, and didn't say anything particularly smart, insightful, or entertaining (outside of the singing). Averages out to a 6, my score for a flawed show that I enjoyed. If I were to show it to someone else, the best way to represent the show would be to string all the musicals together interspersed with brief plot summaries.

You know, I really enjoyed this- not because of harem or sexy boys in suits, but because it was genuinely good. It held my attention over every episode, the songs were great, and I loved the characters. It's a harem done right. The girl isn't some passive victim who lets things befall her, but she is strong-willed and while still naive, she doesn't let that stop her. I loved how it was a musical- it couldn't have been better! The songs added to the anime by far and I loved the voices their actors gave them, though I do wish there were some english versions so I could understand them with out subtitles.

I am being generous with the points: I did not enjoy this anime overall, but the individual musical numbers with each love interest expressing creepy vibes were somehow the most entertaining part. I went cold turkey into this with no prior knowledge and the baffling musical numbers just kept me hanging on until I could see how this dumpster fire ends. The pilot sets up a really intriguing mystery and the female lead actually has a personality and reasonable reactions to the sketchiness of the love interests, and then both of those things plummet the moment that episode ends. This anime does also suffer from a "it's technically not incest" love interest.

This has to be one of the most atrocious series I've ever watched. Like "Devils Line", for whatever reason, the ending completely retcons and makes pointless everything that had happened in the plot leading up to it. This, by the way, is assuming that we are choosing to be generous in calling the writing of this show a "plot". The "lore" is confusing, the characters have barely a single layer of consistency to them, the dialogue is forgettable when not awful, and the anime seems to regularly forget what had happened only one episode prior. Please do not even get me STARTED with the characters. Not a single character has more dimension to them than a sheet of printer paper, and the main character herself has to be one of the most stupid and amnesiac protagonists I've ever had the displeasure of being forced to watch onscreen. In fact, the series relies on her making some of the worst possible decisions just to have bad things happen and move the plot forward, which also means that all the other characters around her have to behave as stupidly as possible to support her in her attempts to get herself killed as soon as possible. If you hate miscommunication, you're going to want to punch a hole through your screen watching this. And aside from that? Not only do we get regular sexual harassment, but also incest! Yes, you heard that right!! Even better, we get a song about it. How fun!!!!!!! On that note... for an anime called "Dance with Devils" there sure is little (barely any) dancing happening. Instead, we are graced with musical numbers that range from laughably bad to legitimately appalling (song about incest, anybody?). Better yet, they only seem to get worse as the series progresses. I'm so relieved that I watched this with a friend, because by the end we were groaning the second each new song's title card popped up. Maybe I did this to myself watching the English dub; I'm sure that the Japanese dub was at least a little better given that Japanese VAs are required to learn singing as part of their curriculum, but as it is, the English versions were an unprecedented level of awful. Between the forgettable (when not confusing) instrumentals, off-key droning, and jaw-droppingly cringe lyrics, there's fun (read: agony) here for everyone. I'd argue that these songs are so awful that there's no way that this was not done on purpose to deliberately humiliate the voice actors and actresses. Actual lyrics, by the way: Chatting with my friends, cream puuuffs and teaaaaa I like all these things 'cause theeey maake me happyyyyyy And about the voice acting: mediocre at best, about as exciting as listening to company training video at worst. If not worse than that, actually. More cartoony voiceover has never really been my cup of tea excluding some very rare instances, but here they took all the most irritating elements of that style and crammed them into one show. Blargh. Mage possibly had one of the most grating voices of the cast (closely followed by that Maksis-one-liner nuisance Roen), Ritsuka's screams were about on par with a mouse getting stuck in a mousetrap, and Rem seemed to get deader and flatter with every episode. In fact, listening closely to Rem's lines not only served as a great meter for my own degenerating mental state and attention, but also gave me the impression that the voice actors were legitimately losing hope with every consequent episode. The decline in quality would be funny if it were not so sad. I rarely drop any anime, book, movie, or whatever, but admittedly finishing this was a legitimate struggle. If I hadn't been watching this with someone else, I would've either fallen asleep from boredom or simply turned it off. When we started watching the show, we were sitting comfortably on the couch; by the end, we were sprawled across it, barely cognizant of anything that was happening around us. I'd give an even lower rating if I could, but I can't knowing that there's even worse shit out there that I haven't even seen.

This is one of those anime that completely pulls you in with its plot, even if it occasionally tests your patience xD. The story is dramatic, mysterious, and full of supernatural tension and despite the moments where the sudden singing made me want to scream into a pillow, I still ended up enjoying it a lot. Not all the songs were bad, but some of them definitely had me questioning my life choices xD. What really surprised me was how emotional the whole thing became. It’s packed with tension, laughter, and sadness, and by the end I was honestly shocked I didn’t cry when the main character made that decision :’). It hits harder than you expect, especially after getting attached to the characters and their chaotic relationships. Overall, it’s a dramatic, stylish, slightly unhinged supernatural romance that keeps you hooked, even when you’re annoyed, even when you’re laughing, and even when you’re yelling at the screen. And that’s exactly why it’s so fun.

2 stars only bc Mage and Shiki are goated. MC was genuinely so unlikable, Rem was boring, Lindo (Secondary love interest) is MCs cousin, and I genuinely did not gaf abt Ritsukos mom or Azuna. The plot was so boring and I found myself not caring at the literal climax of the story and everything the love interests said was predictable. Shiki x Mage on top, I wish Mage was a butch lesbian. Uh idk what else to say abt this but I still wanted to write a review so rewatching this wasnt a complete waste of time. Watch a different reverse harem unless you like to suffer, ngl some parts were ironically enjoyable like when the characters belt into song at random times in the episodes, or when MC screams like Raku chan from kawaii neko sugar girls.
