With pastel matte paints and watercolor sketches, this spellbinding musical story places characters in an Impressionist setting where the ill-defined expressiveness of designs fades in favor of a wild waltz of colors depicting emotions. The range of colors spans from the rainbow stains that symbolize blossoming romantic feelings to the bright, aggressive red that represents mocking anger. Paint itself becomes the medium through which the main character struggles to express himself, engulfing the titular show's couple in the process. Using a paintbrush as a tool of harmony, the indoor scenery pans in a smooth, heartfelt explosion of pinkish lilac. It beautifully highlights a typical relationship as it evolves over time. When strokes appear to depict warlike dispute, it saps pulsating creativity, as the dominant color scheme becomes the gray anthracite of depression. Everything blends together perfectly to illustrate this little story of love and self-hatred in a synesthetic way, aided by Amazarashi's raucous yet oddly tender voice. All in all, it's a highly recommended addition if you enjoy melancholic acoustic songs accompanied by a clip that is animated in a similar mood.

A MUSIC VIDEO ABOUT THE LOVE OF ART - The song’s language caught me off guard. - A narrative-driven song. - That watercolor brush is gigantic, perfect for creating the masterpiece no one wants to see. - “I believed in you. I was wrong.” How awful it must be to hear that from someone who loves you. - Fallen from grace, sinking under the weight of his own failures. - Encountering a tennis ball with a huge face. - He rose again. - “I believed in you. I was right.” How sweet it is to hear that from someone who had given up on you. :) Living as an artist is living on DIFFICULT mode.
