A prince and a commoner romance story - a classic genre with a fairy tale inspired title to boot. Both MC's also enrich and help the other grow, which is very endearing. As well, I'm not sure if other reviewers have noticed or have commented on, the prince is a jealous type as well. I can relate very well with that trait, which he exhibited several times in the story. The female MC is very like-able; and has a distinctive art / look I have not seen in other anime, which is a plus. The supporting cast to the prince is also very commendable and in particular, I appreciated the teases/flickers of romance between the 2 main attendants to the prince. ***SPOILER*** Sorry, but I need to express the following important sentiment: Positive ending but IMO, it was incomplete/un-satisfying to me with regards to the relationship of the 2 MC's. Again, positive ending, yes, however I wanted a full-er confession or similar I guess that the 2 MC's would clearly be together with each other. Please watch it and perhaps you'll see what I mean.

I just love this so much. I even loved season 2 more than season 1. (I'm really hoping for a season 3 by the way, there's enough source material so yea) Story: 9 The story is just great. It doesn't really have this one big storyline but some things from the first season came back (like the Raj stuff) etc. I just simply loved it. Art: 10 I love the art way to much. Character: 10 The characters are what makes this anime so great to be honest. Serious characters, funny characters. This anime has them all. The development is also great. Raj who became friends with Shirayuki for example. Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 10

I'm sad but I 'm hopeful that we do get a third season of this show because this is something, a lot of people need to see. Story: As for a story, it a continuation of the first season. I loved the story, but their was one story line (that I can't say which one because of spoilers). The story is great but it a 9 with that story line. Art: The art is basically the same nothing really special. You have your very cute art so that why I give the art an 8. Sound: We did get a new intro, and ending and honesty I loved both of them. It an improvement from the last season, and the ending I feel was very well done. As for Dub, and Sub I watched it Dub (like the first season). You have the same set of VA who did the voices. Austin Tintale was the outstanding role, and I always say that with anything with him in it. The sound is a 9. Characters: Now for the characters I gave it a 10 on season 1, but it an 8 now. I think through the one time that the story line happened, it made me hate some characters (even the ones I was supposed to hate). Although it not a bad thing I can still see negative after this season. Enjoyment, and Overall: Enjoyment value is a 10, I can enjoy my time with an anime like this. The overall value is a 9, I think the story is the main reason because of it, but I still love it (and I want a third season).

Sometimes you don't need anything special for the series to be great, specially if the flow of the history is as enjoyable as this. I like how this was a complete watch, with quite a lot of development in few episodes. I usually find myself digging quite longer series that take decades to unmask all the characters, give them a backstory and resolve all the conflicts... So i was more than happy when this took me two days to finish, and i was more than happy with the result. One thing I enjoyed a lot is the design. Loved the castles, the clothes of the princes and the dresses... It felt like reading those princess books i used to love when i was a kid, heck sometimes i would stop the scene jut to look at the clothes and jewels because they just look so great. To finish, yes, Akagami isn't a mc with something special to her, she literally is just nice to people. People forgets how far you can go in life being nice to everyone, truly.

I will try to keep this review short and simple. Basically, this story is quite good in my opinion. It takes a place in a fantasy setting, which is quite different and unique from other shoujo anime. However, there are some clichés and the characters are quite bland. But I still think this anime is really good and kind of enjoyable for a romance / slice of life anime. If you are that kind of person who likes to judge and criticize an anime based on how good the plot, characters etc, then this anime is not for you. I will recommend this anime to people who just wants to relax. By the way, I think this season is better than the first season because there is some amazing action scenes in it, which makes the story more interesting.

Yet another completed anime with a manga that I started in High School and never finished because I'm the most impatient person on the planet... also, I completely forgot what happened in the manga (pretty sure the anime hasn't caught up to the story) but that doesn't matter right now! This review will be a combination of season 1 and 2. Story; In the kingdom of Tanbarun, a young prince has the craving to use his powers to get the most beautiful women in the kingdom to become his concubine. The women ends up being our main heroine, Shirayuki. Known for being a fantastic herbalist in the kingdom, her loving grandparents that've passed away and of course her uncommon red hair. To decide her own fate, she cuts off her hair and runs to the nearest kingdom to start her life over again. While taking shelter, she runs into a strange boy named Zen. Without a second thought they become friends in an instance. Accidently getting poisoned, learning he's the second prince of the kingdom of Clarines and following him in hopes the colour of fate will show the way. You get to learn about the kingdoms relationships, what's it's like to have the responsibility of being a royal, how effort can bring your fate to reality and how important relationships are (not just when you're from the royal family). Art; Bones Studio has done so many amazing anime's and this one is no exception! Sound; The OST for both season 1 and 2 was sweet and light, just like the series... no complaints but also not download worthy (nice to put a face to the anime songs though!). Characters; Development, backstories and emotions... all of them were top notch... but there could always be more. Overall, I enjoyed this romance fantasy. There was a lot more romance in the first season and the end of season 2 just didn't feel as amazing as I was expecting. I don't know if they left it like that because they didn't want to continue the series (or let any other studios pick it up) or if at the time this is where the manga was and they didn't want to stray from the story. I know their love was still blooming, they were young and she was just a normal girl when he was the second prince to the kingdom... but I wanted MORE ROMANCE!!! I shall be adding this manga to my "Plan to read list" in the hopes that the English translations will come out sooner then later AND that there will be even more romance and heart-gushing moments that'll make me blush.

:・゚✧>>This is one of the cutest romance animes I know, its not too old but it came out it in mid 2015 as a fantasy romance anime and when it came out, it didn’t have much hype around it but still to this day it's an amazing anime. I remember from the first episode itself, loving the main character Shirayuki cause not only is she so adorable, Shirayuki is everything we look for in a girl protagonist, she’s strong, brave and independent. :・゚✧>>Shirayuki wants to become an herbalist which I thought was so unique and cool about her as a character, Shirayuki’s love interest Zen Wisteria is utterly amazing, I couldn’t get enough of his slick smooth personality and his feelings towards Shirayuki is so cute, he loves her so much; I absolutely couldn’t with them, I literally get butterflies watching them, it’s an amazing love story with so much pure wholesome love. :・゚✧>>But no only them, but other characters like Kiki or Mitsuhide, who take care of Prince Zen are completely great additions to the story. There are so many scenes that I would replay in my mind over and over again, scenes that would make my heart pound, and moments that would make me want to jump and scream because of how happy I am, I would tell anyone to watch this anime.

You need to watch the first season to understand the second but let me tell you the sequel is no joke. Everything the first season lacked, the second season makes up for three times over. First of all, the comedic value was through the roof; a lot funnier than the first. I wanted action, I got action! There was a lot more sparring and fight scenes in the second season and let me tell you—I was here for it! Without giving too much away, the second season keeps you guessing. It had me at the edge of my seat because nothing is as it seems. Was there character development? Yes yes yes! With the return of many characters from the first season, you get much more enjoyable this time around. If you liked them the first time around, you'll love them this time. Prince Raj, who in the first season was nothing more than a pretentious entitled prince, seems to turn over a new leaf and truly want to make amends for his past indiscretions. Obi, a skilled fighter who acts as both Shirayuki’s guard and Zen’s messenger, begins to demonstrate more of his feelings and interact with the other people in the castle. It’s good to see that Obi isn’t as unbothered by life as it seems. Even Prince Izana, a true mystery himself, becomes more open. There were a lot of great decisions made this time around and it’s a much more satisfying experience. It had everything you would want in a romance anime, and more. Just when you think the lovey moments can’t get any cuter, they do. Shirayuki and Zen will finally be able to face the future and their feelings head on and it’s such an enjoyable journey to watch from beginning to end.

Many improvements have been made for the second season of Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, although the anime is consistent with some original flaws. The love story between main characters Shirayuki (the eponymous "Snow White with the Red Hair" and Zen Wisteria has developed nicely, albeit somewhat too slowly for this reviewer's pace, and it is evident through some episodes that Shirayuki's inherent goodness affects those she comes across with (perhaps that is the reason the title is named after Snow White, however disappointing the implied savior complex that title can come with). The story is much more nicely development from the first season, a key complaint from this reviewer (although, where is there a central villain who is irredemable? Where is a villain with equal prowess as the main characters). It can be said that Zen's older brother, the heir-apparent to the throne Izana Wistaria occupies this role. However, even he seems to encourage this relationship between the two at the end, and makes no significantly insidious moves to warrant villainy. For this reviewer, too much goodness can leave the anime bland and too one-sided. Without a conflict to drive this anime besides the social constraints of a relationship between a second prince and a pharmacist, the improvements made are negligible, without the meat of a fruit that is ripening too slowly (hopefully, a third season can rectify this). 9/10

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime Story: This is a great anime, but not because of the story. Very simple and nothing really extraordinary about it. However, it never bored me even once. It builds around the characters so it feels like the story is just fine as it is. I enjoyed much more this 2nd season than the 1st. More action involved and we learn much more about our heroes. 7/10 Art: It's very very beautiful. The characters, the clothes that they wear and really everything look impressive. I especially loved Obi's look. 10/10 Sound: Sound and music is always a hard nut to crack. I was happy with all the voice actors. I'm always amazed by how well they do there job. I can't say anything bad about music, but it wasn't exceptional so I will give a strong 7/10. Characters: Prince Zen and Shirayuki is a cute couple and they are really the best people for each other. However, Obi some reason was way more interesting than any other character in the whole season. I started looking forward to any scene that he is in and luckily there are plenty of them. He nearly has the same amount of parts as Zen and Shirayuki. As you may suspect now, he was my most favorite character all along. He is very straight forward and the most relaxed person in the show, but he leaves a bittersweet taste to my mouth. He is surrounded by this heavy, nearly painful atmosphere. He is often has a cheeky smile on his face and he really likes teasing people around him. I could say lots of other things from him, but all in all, he is a great guy. I loved his character and his look. I liked everyone, but next to Obi I have to mention Ranji too. He is the only person who massively changes through the season. I don't think the characters are amazing or very deep, but they are all so lovable. They made me forget about logic or story or anything that I would look for in other animes. The whole thing just clicks so well. I give 8/10 because of Obi and Ranji. Enjoyment: I really liked it! I liked it so much that I decided to read the manga. It's calm and relaxing. It was a very nice experience to watch it. 9/10 Overall: I don't normally watch fantasy genre animes, but this was great and it was really a heartwarming experience. 9/10

One Of the best sequels ever! Story became more engaging, characters start to grow up, like Raj; at first he was just an ordinary jovial princes but he end up one a princes that Shirayuki can bepride of him, another character Izana (one of my own favorite); he was charismatic at first glance but in season 2 we understand how he felt and why he is so strict to his brother & Shirayuki. MCs: I love the portrait of Shirayuki character, sometimes she annoyed me because if shi was unworthy of queen's position, she is too kind for every person, a queen should be controller & charismatic (izana also think like this) but she is good person as a ordinary girl or coroner and Zen felt in live with kindness of this girl.

(This is a review of both the first and second season of this anime.) I recently heard about this anime from a friend and it sounded interesting. I decided to give it a watch, and I was glad that I did. This is a really cute anime if you're in the mood for something cute and light-hearted. It was a really good one to watch in February around Valentine's Day, especially, but it has good spring and summer vibes, too. The visuals are really nice. The backgrounds and scenery are pretty to look at, and the animation is good as well. The story is cute, and it had me hooked right away. The characters are very lovable. The music is cute, but nothing amazing. This isn't a serious anime, it's not going to make you re-evaluate morality or anything. It's just something cute to watch if you want to relax and take your mind off of things for awhile, and I would definitely recommend it.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime 2nd Season, an exciting sequel! Overall, I find that this second season remains on the same basis compared to the first season even if I found the plot more interesting. It's a pleasure to follow the protagonists of the series! However, even if they are more than ever together and they even kissed, it's a bit of a shame that the relationship between Zen and Shirayuki does not evolve as I hoped, including a marriage. It's not a big deal. The animation and the character design remain the same. Otherwise, in terms of the soundtrack, I like the opening but the ending is a bit below. The OST is constantly good. In short, this season is always a pleasure to follow!
