One Piece Film: Gold
ONE PIECE FILM GOLD

Art (7): One of One Piece animation's key points is the vibrant colors and in this case, GOLD. In this movie, lighting and contrast is too bright which can be regarded as eye candy. As for the character design, the women's designs are exaggerated to some degree especially their breasts. One of the notable parts of this movie is the action scenes which was animated quite well. Other than that. compared to the previous movies that Oda supervised and helped create, this lacks a bit in the animation side. Sound (10): What I enjoyed the most in this movie is the music. From upbeat sound to mellow ones, they create the atmosphere perfect for the scenes. From the introduction to the end, the music is one of the parts that is well done in the movie. Character (6): To avoid spoilers, I will try to keep this short and just give subtle hints. Three of the strawhats have a bigger role than the others and is elaborated a bit but other than that, nothing changed. The characters were consistent (assuming since this is a movie, character developments are not that much. As for the new characters, they are very straight-forward and a bit bland. Story (6): The movie is the same with the other One Piece Films which always introduce the villain first before our main characters. A common thread in the OP movies as well is the number of antagonists to which the strawhats would individually defeat with the Monster Trio getting most of the spotlight. The movie doesn't really depict much of the pirate-ish vibe of the strawhat since the setting is a bit more modern and doesn't center much around their piracy. There are bits and pieces for the side characters but doesn't get much hype at all.

"One Piece: Gold" definitely has its flaws, but overall I found it to be an enjoyable One Piece film. The animation and art style are both excellent. The Strawhats going to a casino serves as the perfect excuse to dress them up in new, flashy outfits. The action scenes are nicely animated as well. The plot feels a bit forced at times. There's no real explanation as to why the crew ended up in Gran Tesoro - apparently, Luffy just decided they should go to the casino? And the plot wasn't exactly original either. Nonetheless, it ends up being entertaining. Plus, there are a bunch of characters that have cameos throughout the film. There are moments where the Strawhats feel a bit out of character, though. The newly introduced characters - Tesoro, Baccarat, Carina etc. - are well designed and consistent. They have distinct personalities and, in general, they are good characters. Personally, I would have liked to know more about the other side characters, not just about Tesoro and Carina. The antagonist's backstory was fine, although it felt a bit cliché and rushed. I do understand, however, that there wasn't enough screen time to fully explain and explore his past. Same as how there wasn't enough time to develop each character. In conclusion, One Piece: Gold is a decent work, but not a must-watch for fans of the series. It lacks a bit of coherence sometimes, and it's far from perfect; still, it's an amusing film with good quality animation.

The Casino/Gran Torino concept for the Straw Hats to enter a new adventure with great pacing...this movie was made properly and it has great presentation. It fixes the pacing of the previous arc of Dressrosa. It was highly enjoyable for me with the use of betting and gold as a key theme in the movie. I believe that this movie is well made for the fans of One Piece, especially since it was released at the time of an inconsistent arc of Dressrosa. There was a plan for the team to adapt within the movie within the set circumstances and there is a plot twist which quickly accelerates the end of the movie...which was worthwhile.

This is my favourite One piece movie by a long shot. Great story, music, animation, and fights. The whole gold aesthetic fits perfectly for one piece and I wish the whole show was this slick. The villain was a bit generic but that's fine because the rest is just amazing. One piece animation has never been better. It was so pleasurable to watch. The whole crew gets the spotlight and my favourite Zoro has a really cool scene, Nami has something to do! Overall a must watch for One piece fans and anime in general. I wish this story was cannon to the series and could of have some cool consequences to the main story but no, none of the movies are like that. Can't wait for Red!

I know i might be writing this review very late but since i watched this movie very late i didnt get a chance. This movie is fantastic for every One Piece fan. If you are a normie then you wouldnt understand anything. I would like to keep my review short and simple to the point. At First look, This movie's animation looks outstanding. The studio worked very hard on animating it and they made an excellent job. The characters looked great and their Drip was on fire. The plot setting up on an island casino was surreal, it felt like going on an exciting adventure with the strawhats. Although it was filler, it felt like part of the main story. All the strawhats looked great, and Tesoro was a great villain, my only complaint is that we didnt get to see much of Tesoro's backstory which might be interesting but we got Carina's story which disappointed me. Soundtrack was great. If you are a One Piece fan then you will love it. Better than the previous installments tho. BY far i would rate the following: STORY : 9/10 ANIMATION: 10/10 CHARACTERS:8/10 SOUND:8/10 VERDICT: 9/10 Very enjoyable and if u want to rewatch the series or if u left off and u want to pick up ur pace in One Piece, I would definetely recommend watching Film Gold along with episode 0. Definetely worth the watch. Oh it contains a bit of fanservice for Nami swaaaaaaan and Robin Chwaaaan fans, lmao(on Ep 0) And for G4 fans, definetely great pick, and this movie would be best to watch after Episode 747 in the anime precisely after the dressrosa arc.

One Piece Film: Gold is a fantastic film and, above all, a visual spectacle. It can be summed up in one word: beautiful. But it's not just "beautiful" in the basic sense; it's the kind of production that exudes style, luxury, and personality in every scene. Everything in the film revolves around this grandiose aesthetic, which perfectly matches Gild Tesoro's golden empire. The setting is one of the biggest highlights. The casino city presented in the film has a very strong, almost extravagant visual identity, full of glitter, exaggeration, and ostentation. There's an air of nobility mixed with decadence that combines very well with the theme of gold and the personality of the antagonist. It's the kind of setting that holds your attention the whole time. And the animation… simply absurd. Toei Animation delivered one of the most meticulously crafted works within One Piece. The colors are vibrant, the movements are fluid, and the action scenes have a gigantic visual impact. Even for those already familiar with the series' standard, this film easily stands out. It is, without a doubt, one of the best animations ever seen within the franchise. But the film isn't just about looks. The story is well-constructed and works very well within its premise. It mixes action, strategy, and that "heist" atmosphere (almost like a casino movie), which brings a different dynamic than usual. Furthermore, there are important elements that catch the attention of fans, such as the demonstration of an awakening Akuma no Mi, something that until then had generated many theories within the work. After Donquixote Doflamingo, seeing this concept explored again helps to better consolidate how this power works within the universe. Tesoro himself is a very competent antagonist. He is not only visually imposing, but also has presence, motivation, and a certain charisma that holds the attention. He fits perfectly into that One Piece villain style that mixes grandeur with a remarkable past. Another detail that deserves much attention is the visual design of the characters. As is tradition in the series, each arc brings new costumes, and this one is no different. But in this film, the costumes are on another level. They're stylish, elegant, and perfectly match the luxury and casino theme. It's the kind of design that makes you want to pause just to observe the details. Ultimately, Film: Gold is a complete experience: visually stunning, fun to watch, and with elements that add to the universe of the series. It may not be canonical, but it delivers everything a One Piece fan expects (and a little more). If you like One Piece, this film is a must-see. Highly recommended. E a animação… simplesmente absurda. Nota: 9/10

I liked this film every time it did something we've never seen before. Unfortunately those moments were few and far between the stuff I've seen wayyyyyyyyyy too much of. I kinda wish they could've run with the casino/heist aspect and just run with it. The snail-powered car race, Luffy ascending the tower and the entire dance-off that kick-started the movie were all joys to behold. Sadly it didn't take long to descend into all-too-familiar territory. I feel this film would be considered great if it wasn't coming hot off the heals of the brilliant STRONG WORLD and FILM Z. As it stands, it's a step down.

This was my first One Piece film and what a banger it was! I was actually surprised by how low the score seems, but to me it's a 10/10 one. Firstly, I live place the action is happening at. Gran Teroso is on par with Whole Cake Island as my favorite islands/places. They felt so unique and beautiful, but if course I'll have to focus on only one of them today. The colors, the buildings, the dresses and the people, it all works together so good creating what I'd call a paradise for one's eyes. Secondly, the characters. The straw hats were one level above what I had previously seen in Stampede and Z which was great. They had bigger roles and more screen time than before and so this is a + from me. Thirdly, the Antagonist. Gild Tesoro has to be one of favorite OP villains. No shame in saying that, but he is on par with Doffy for me, love them equally. To be honest they actually share not one or two characteristics whether behavior, looks or other, but still, he felt unique and one I really enjoyed. To be frank, he was the star of this movie for me heheh. The story itself was good, didn't feel unfinished or something like that, unlike other from the franchise and the conclusion was good. Throughout the film I never lost attention and its understandable taking what I've said before into account. In conclusion I think it's the best entry in the OP film universe and would recommend it to anyone. Really elevated my experience as I'm a manga reader for One Piece and now I got to hear the VA's and witness good and clear animation. That's it from me, have a great day!
