Story: The story was a little predictable and kind of cliché. I knew what the plot was of the show was going in, so I wasn't as shocked as some people were. The age difference between the main pair (11 years was what I found on the wiki I read) was a little weird for me (I know people with about the same age difference, but they met a lot later in life), but I know there are different cultural norms and some of what we think is seen through our cultural lens. *Spoilers* The ending with the gang members in random jobs felt kind of weird and not talked about and simply thrown in on the end. *end spoilers* Art: The animation was beautiful (one of my main draws of any anime that I watch). However, I didn't like a lot of the chibi stuff that they did, although this is only a personal preference. Sound: Loved the OP and ED and the insert songs worked well. Character: The characters were funny, but they seemed really one dimensional and similar to other characters. Enjoyment: Was OK to binge in a day, and if they add another season I would probably watch it, but I'm not gunning for a rewatch anytime soon, Overall: Good, but not great. I have definitely spent 5+ hours watching worse stuff.

Firstly, the plot summary is completely misleading. This is not some will they won't they shounen ai nonsense where they make us pray for something as concrete as a kiss. Instead, it's tone is very similar to Junjou Romantica or Sekaiichi Hatsukoi--the drama is less about the nature of the relationships and more about how they behave in those relationships. Unlike those two anime, however, the two main couples do not live in a tiny community where everyone is gay, nor are they all closeted with the people close to them. Instead, we see couples who are quite open among their straight friends. These friends are very important to the main characters, not just props or plot devices played for laughs or drama. It's also great to see how dynamics within each couple also affect the other couple. I really do think that this is a unique show. The characters are not the old seme/uke stereotypes and are all remarkably dynamic. We see them grow and change, becoming more confident in who they are and what they stand for. We see new friendships forming and old friends drifting apart. We even see a number of women--none of whom are the shrill buzzkills sometimes present in bl anime. Anyway, I held off on watching this because I thought it was going to be terrible. When I finally watched it, I loved it. Recommended for all bl fans.

*sighs* that feeling when they ruined the show with dumb tropes for absolute no reason. (whatever this is a BL, would have been shocking if it didn't include any absurd shit.) 1. kensuke and hasekura's relationship their relationship seemed straight up fake. Kensuke doesn't seem romantically or sexually attracted to Hasekura in any way. Hasekura seems to manipulate him into it it looks like kensuke only wants to be close, (as friends) "could we still be friends if were together?" kind of mindset 2. kousuke and setagawa's relationship I never realized there was a 12 year age gap between Kousuke and Setagawa (yes I was retarded enough not to look into it) weirdest part is Setagawa is still a minor... I wanna wrap it up quick as I can so I dont have to essay on every point boring show, generic characters, mid art, okay animation, ass relationships and an grown ass man grooming a 16 yo

Hitorijime My Hero embarks on a sort of dual narrative journey. The series endeavors to dissect themes of belonging, forbidden love, and and self-discovery. We learn about the life of a high schooler grappling with the complexities of rekindled friendships and emerging feelings, and another student who finds unexpected guidance and love in his relationship with his friend’s older brother. The first storyline revolves around a close friendship tested by unspoken affections and conflicting emotions. However, this relationship dynamic uncomfortably broaches the topic of being compelled into a sexual orientation or rushed into coming out this raises concerns about consent and mutual respect. While the intention is to portray a charming and humorous relationship, it often veers into uncomfortable territory. Though as the story progresses, what unfolds is a relationship that is somewhat fun and has endearing moments, including lighthearted jealousy and playful banter, which lend a sense of wholesomeness to their dynamic. In the second narrative, we delve into the morally ambiguous territory of a relationship between figures of authority and their students. Despite attempts to romanticize the connection, the portrayal overlooks critical ethical considerations, presenting a troubling message regarding the boundaries of appropriate conduct. Surprisingly, this time, that's not my primary worry. My biggest concern is that The “love interest” warns the student against falling in love with him, yet paradoxically, when the student begins to distance himself and seek affection elsewhere, the “love interest”, out of jealousy, urges him not to hide his true feelings and proceeds to initiate a kiss. I would like to mention that shounen ai is something I am not very well versed in but something I’ve found interesting in as of recently, I’m not quite sure whether this is a common theme or not. The progression of both storylines is swift. The narrative concerning the childhood friends, swiftly evolves from a tale of awkward reunions to a more complex exploration of unrequited love and self-realization, sacrificing the potential for a more nuanced development of their relationship. The anime also chose to tell its two distinct stories sequentially, had it tried to gradually unfold them side by side, it could have enhanced the pacing. Despite its moral and narrative challenges, it does not skimp on moments of levity and genuine human connection. The occasional comedic interludes and well-animated expressions bring a much-needed lightness to the otherwise concerning narrative. I enjoyed the mention of “homonym” and when a certain someone said, and I quote “they’re gonna take my shirikodama” which refers to a mythical ball said to reside within the human anus. The anime's approach to exploring the depths of human relationships, identity, and acceptance is commendable, albeit flawed in execution. The portrayal of love, wrapped in layers of controversy and moral questions, ultimately finds an unexpected footing within its own unconventional, comedic rhythm. This amalgamation of humor and drama doesn't always harmonize with traditional romantic ideals, yet it crafts a distinct space where affection, in its myriad forms, flourishes against the odds. In doing so, the series carves out a niche for itself, presenting a story that resonates with those intrigued by love's multifaceted and often perplexing nature.

I am a very great fan of other types or out side of the box animes where age gaps are present. Its a real thing in real life so why shouldnt it be present in an anime? I love this couple and their dinamic in the entire anime & manga chapters. I loved this couple the moment they vibed with each others and founded out their feelings with each other, growing towards each other and exploring more than they tought it would be. I a fan of age gaps and the fact that Kousuke is a teacher it spices up the entire level of their interaction. Almost forbiden love. But as a BL anime, its a good addition to the other BL animes out there.

No. Just. No. The main relationship of this anime is gross, uncomfortable, and inappropriate. It's bad enough that an Adult (28) is pursuing a Minor (16)… But the Adult abuses his position of power, authority, trust, and friendship to manipulate and take advantage of the protagonist. Hitorijime My Hero actively and continuously points out how this relationship is illegal, inappropriate, and dangerous. The show goes out of its way to remind the audience that this relationship is not healthy or safe… AND THEN DOES IT ANYWAY. This story sets BL and Gay Stereotypes back 20 years, and reinforces the false idea that gay men are predators. But when a show with this production value and style decides to tackle this content… and CHOOSES TO NORMALIZE inappropriate, dangerous, unhealthy relationships??? Why… just why… Masahiro is a struggling teen with a shaky home life. His mother is a sex worker, his father is never mentioned. Masahiro struggles to make friends and hangs out with thugs to avoid his home life and find a group where he feels like he belongs. The entire show, all I could think was, “Masahiro desperately needs a consistent and dependable adult that he can safely confide in. Someone who has his best interests at heart and can help guide him to a better future.” And for a short time, Kousuke takes that position and helps Masahiro become a better person and make new friends. And then Kousuke ABUSES that trust and safety he built with Masahiro. The show actively verbalizes and represents this abuse and betrayal. The show heavily explores Masahiro's fear of Kousuke being fired as a teacher, or even being arrested because their relationship is illegal. At one point, OTHER ADULTS actively manipulate and 'test' Masahiro to ensure Kousuke won't be punished harshly by the authorities should they find out. This anime is not trying to accurately depict a sad reality of many young teens. This anime is not trying to paint these interactions as negative or unfortunate. Hitorijime My Hero actively supports and encourages the grooming of teens by adults. It puts a flowery bow on the conscious abuse of authority and trust, and then calls it 'romantic.' Hitojime My Hero proves that it is self-aware and is all the more disgusting and despicable for it.

There is a lot - and I mean a lot - to be said about this anime, but in short: This is not a "romance" - it's a story of abuse. This entire story is about a 28 year old predator grooming a 16 year old boy, emotionally manipulating, gaslighting, and taking advantage of him. I'm not sure why we're glorifying an actual predator (ya'll, Masahiro is 16 and a MINOR being taken advantage of by his 28 year old TEACHER). This isn't 2 adults, it's a child being taken advantage of by an adult. Stories like this glorify r@p3 and abuse, and normalize unhealthy, toxic, and manipulative relationships. Stories like this are HARMFUL. (spoiler) One of just many examples of emotional manipulation and psychological abuse: The scene where Kousuke's friends trick (on Kou's orders) Masahiro into thinking Kousuke was going to get arrested for being a literal p3d0, all to test him to make sure Masa would take the fall/blame so Kou wouldn't get in trouble. And Kou's friends follow through with Kou's request. Ya'll...........come ON. Be weary watching this, or better yet, don't bother. Not even sure how this was even published with all of the major issues through it. If you want an actual romance that's not riddled with predatory behavior, I recommend titles like Given, Sasaki and Miyano, and Dokyuusei.

Hitorjime My Hero glorifies both grooming and pedophilia and includes horrifyingly cringy and cheesy lines. That's how I would sum it up. The art is good, but the storyline left me dreadful and appalled. The amount of manipulation and toxicity in the relationships between the characters are so painfully obvious, yet all characters choose to dismiss it. Masahiro describing Kousuke as a guy who just happened to be born before him, that he's in love with him; gave me the icks. Why are we normalizing a relationship between a 16 old impressionable boy and a 28 year old man. It is wrong on so many levels and the mere audacity of describing it as "love" is unacceptable. Needless to say, I'm disappointed. Not to mention that this is a mlm relationship and gives horrible representation. Is it really that hard to make gay stories include healthy relationships?

I never write reviews about any anime but for this one, I felt like I had to. I’m going to go off on a rant lol, but this anime was kinda ass. (slight spoilers ahead) A few Things that I didn't enjoy about this anime was how many of the scenes gave me so much second hand embarrassment that it was hard to watch. The whole story felt like a big "lack of communication" trope. The plot felt so pointless and the characters hardly had any development if any. The art style is whatever, I personally didn't like it. The characters were so oblivious to anything that occurred around them except for the seme from each of the relationships. The couple's dynamics didn’t even fit with each other, one couple felt like it consisted of 2 semes and the other with 2 ukes and these relationships were just overall toxic and unhealthy. Not to mention how this glorifies the idea of being forced to do something for your s/o even if you aren't comfortable with it bc if you don't then they won’t like you. This also glorified pedophilia with the large age gaps in the relationship between the 16 year old and the 28 year old teacher. Side note in one of the episodes it tried to show how people are going to think what they want to think and how not everyone will understand this kind of relationship. Someone tried to call it disgusting and one of the characters try to justify it by saying “that's my family you’re talking about” and by doing this it shows that he's under the impression but there's no problem with this kind of relationship and since it's his family it means he and others have to agree with it, which is not the case. The only good thing I can think of about this anime is that it's a bl and ngl I feel like that's the only reason why it's liked. Some ppl not all, would have given this a much lower rating if this was a straight couple. I'm not saying that liking the shounen ai genre is a bad thing bc i myself do enjoy it, however if you fail to realize how lacking the plot is and decide to praise it simply because it is a bl then not only do you have poor judgement in content to consume then u also are subconsciously finishing this sort of relationship because this is an extremely unacceptable and inaccurate representation of gay relationships (if ur offended then this applies to you). Relationship 1 which consisted of the large age gaps in the relationship between the 16 year old and the 28 year old teacher was absolutely disgusting and poorly thought out. Not only is a nearly 30 year old man dating a minor he is his teacher!! If you don’t understand why this is significant then I'll explain it. Even though they did have a relationship (friendship) prior to the time that he was his teacher, having this kind of relationship with a teacher is extremely dangerous. Regardless of age or anything having this kind of relationship creates great potential for abuse of trust and power. And the uke from the second relationship really tried to justify it (I know they tried to make them on the side of metal but I was laughing the whole time). In the second relationship Even though they are the same age and don't have a teacher-student relationship, it still feels like an uneven distribution of power within the relationship. That uke in this relationship seemed like he was Illustrated to be as childish as possible. An example of this is when in the beginning of the anime not only did he not understand what the seme meant when he gave him the ultimatum, he couldn't even understand what he meant when he told him “I have never thought of you as a friend”. Even after he was forced to do whatever that was in the beginning he still decided to continue having a relationship with himBecause he realized that during that process he had feelings for him which in a way glorifies Stockholm Syndrome. Even though he did not kidnap him he did rape him. Even though the uke agreed to doing it, he only did that because he felt like he had to and in a way this is still a form of rape (if you don't see the problem then you are the problem) In conclusion this anime is trash in the romance and shounen ai genre, however this excelled in the horror genre because I was extremely terrified at what I was watching. But seriously though wtf was that. Like if you need other better Shounen ai recommendations comment on my page or msg me I also have bl and yaoi manhwa/manga/manhua recommendations if u want.

SPOILERS As a someone who enjoys reading shounen ai and shouja ai, I was excited to watch this anime. Buuut my expectations went downhill. AT first, the beginning couple, Hasekura and Kensuke were adorable to me. I completely ignored Hasekura's manipulative and non consensual behavior. Kensuke himself is a bland and annoying character, stereotyped to THE MAX as the "uwu girly piss baby" character. After the first 3-4 episodes we barely ever see them again. The main character, Setagawa is fairly interesting, I have to say. Both main couples are terrible, with the overpowering top character and the smaller weaker bottom. Worse, THE AGE GAP. I am GENUINELY concerned with people who thought this was cute, IT'S NOT. While the during the time I was watching I constantly found myself cringing whenever they interacted in a loving manner. The art is pretty okay, as a self taught artist it wasn't too bad to me, though I've seen better. Animation is stellar, nothing else to say. The anime would've been at least okay if they hadn't coded both relationships as manipulative and bad. Story-5/10 mediocre Art-7/10 good Sound-6/10 Character-3/10 poor Enjoyment-2/10 Dreadful Overall-4/10 Do I recommend? Depends. It has good story beats but it's overshadowed by its terrible romantic relationships and characters.

Hitorijime My Hero is best described as absurd. How many times can a character literally sprint away? 5? 10? Around a school, outside, in the rain, up a mountain, out of a tiny apartment? How many times can a supporting character literally explain everyone else's feelings for them because they have no self-awareness? As many as needed, because he would not have a purpose in the show if not for that. Oh wait, he also has to coerce his friend into sexual favors. That too. The men are badly written women essentially. The women are nearly non-existent, candy-haired specters on the edge of the action. No one has a real personality save the lead, Setagawa, and unfortunately his face is often set in an expressionless stare. The lead coupling is entirely inappropriate, and there's not enough cuteness or substance in the development of that relationship to ignore it. Without going into too much detail, the main character is a 15 year-old who has an unhealthy and unstable home life, and who has been used in his other relationships for years. His love interest is significantly older (4 years, 5 years? it's never stated explicitly), and should know better than to take advantage of a highschool 1st year, especially one with that background. It's sad. One plus is that this show has more than one gay relationship--they are explicit and open, and their friends are accepting. It's less about the will they, won't they teasing that a lot of shows in this genre lean on. That said there is still a lot of time devoted to unrealistically poor communication and misunderstandings, and contrived barriers to these relationships--most of which are imagined. Though I got through it, this show was a major cringe-fest. Recommended for watching while drunk, or hungover.

(SPOILERS) Hitorijime My Hero was an amazing show to watch! The best thing about the show is the art, it is honestly so beautiful and I can't get enough of it but the best-looking parts that stood out to me are the night sky throughout all the episodes and the rainy scenes towards the ending (specifically the train scenes). The only part I found that looked a little weird was the fish tank inside the bar (but that's only like two scenes so I won't dock points). I loved the characters! Like most of the characters are unique and the only thing I wanted was some more backstory for the gang member Yabase and the Bartender Natsuo. I just can't help but feel those two characters should be expanded on (maybe they are in the manga but idk I haven't read it yet). Like Yabase looks like he cares about Setagawa and Natsuo at least kinda seems to care about Kousuke but we don't really know anything else (we kinda of get some explanation on Yabase but I don't feel like it was enough). The story was pretty interesting! I haven't seen anything quite like it and overall it was a really enjoyable show, definitely a good show to binge-watch! (Fav characters are Yabase and Hasekura <3)

Story/Character: I didn't really enjoy Hasekura and Kensuke's story, only because of how absurd and off-putting Hasekura was as a character. The only reason why I gave the story a 7 is for Kousuke and Masahiro's story. Hasekura is as weird character who is both overbearing and not memorable. He forces Kensuke into have relations with him, threatening to dismantle their recently-patched friendship. When their main arc is over, their relationship isn't developed. Hasekura is just in the background, given one or two lines at best, and is just used as a device to move the plot forwards. He isn't a likable character. Kousuke and Masahiro's relationship really saved the whole story. Their story made sense, these characters made sense, and the anime gave viewers an opportunity to understand these characters. What they did, what they said, it all made sense. I don't know if there is a manga version of this anime, and if there is, if Hasekura and Kensuke's relationship is portrayed better there than it is here. Art: The art was not inferior, but it wasn't my style of art. Sound: Not very memorable. Was mainly just background music for whatever scene was going on at the time. Overall: I don't know if I would re-watch this series or recommend it. Honestly speaking, Hasekura and Kensuke's relationship really darkened my opinion of the series in general, especially because their relationship was the foundation for the first few episodes. It was weird how the anime moved from one relationship to the next, and didn't let the two relationships co-exist that much, which was weird since Kensuke and Masahiro were close friends. It was as if it couldn't decide which relationship to focus on, so they chose both. But Hasekura and Kensuke's arc was so short that they had to switch gears right away and move the focus. It didn't seem like the story flowed, but rather, seemed more like a river with a whole lot of dams that blocked the water from flowing. In retrospect, you can kind of see how the relationships intersect. But while you're experiencing it, it's as if you're going in one direction and then suddenly stopped, and then pushed into another direction without any closure.
SalamanderMagic
If I reviewed this the same way I would review any other anime, I would give it a 4/10. The plot is haphazard and has a rather awkward flow to it. The first few episodes follow around Kensuke and Asaya, and there is a small arc about their relationship. But after that, the show completely shifts focus and moves on to an entirely different relationship. Kensuke and Asaya become side characters and are only mildly relevant. It's unsatisfactory. The side characters are also pretty horrible and are extremely flat. BUT, with all that being said, it's still easily one of the better yaois I've seen, and so I really think it deserves a good rating for the genre. The animation is honestly pretty bad, but that's kind of the norm with show's like this, and it's not so bad it ruins the show. While the main relationship (teacher x student) is problematic, it's not outright abusive. The show is enjoyable to watch and the plotline is interesting. Hitorijime My Hero is a step in the right direction for BL.

So, I read and watch a lot of BL and most of the time, I'm really disappointed. I hate that rape seems normal in a lot of shows. That is not how a normal relationship works. 'Hitorijime my hero' has a some problems, but overall I enjoyed this. (You have to keep in mind that the main pairing doesn't develop until episode 4) The secondary pairing (ep. 1-3) wasn't my cup of tea personally, so I just talk about the main pairing Kousuke/Masahiro. They are really cute. Teacher/Student relationships are one of my guilty pleasures. Masahiro is a cute little dork and Kousuke, the teacher, is really friendly and nice to watch, even though his nickname is literally "bear killer'. Most of the time they don't even feel like teacher and student, more like friends, because Masahiro is the best friend of Kensuke, who is the younger brother of the teacher. One thing I really liked about this show is the missing rape plot. It's nice to see a loving and pure relationship between two men,if you ignore the age gap. If you don't like shows like Junjou Romantic or Love Stage, you should give this one a try. TL;DR: Shonen Ai with corgi, instant 10/10

First of all - I read the Manga a few days ago, and I were really fascinated about the characters. I adore love stories and even if I'm not a big BL-fan, I enjoyed the story to the full. I chanced to hear about the Anime and watched at instantly. The story is about a sensei-gakusen (teacher-student) relationship, but the first episodes didn't show much of it. The characters aren't affected much about other people thinking about a gay relationship, though to their teacher-student contact. What I really like about the story is the humor (I laugh out loud) and the depth of the characters. The sound of the Anime was a bit disappointing, because I think another melody could support the story so much better. After all I can say that I really enjoyed it. Just watch it! :) (I'm sorry, the text isn't perfect, my first language is german not english, but I hope you understand all)

Compared to the previous yaoi anime that I’ve watched, you could say that this one's pretty simple. It’s simple yet there's just something about it that makes me want to watch the next episode and then the next, next, next, until I reach the end. If you ask me, I always prefer 1 couple per show but for Hitorijime My Hero we’ve got two. This show introduced us to the first couple first – Kensuke and Hasekura. It was a bit fast really and I think for an instant it was a bit corny too especially on Kensuke’s part who’s still thinking about the past particularly on what he said to Hasekura. It’s just that he’s making a big deal out of it, just say sorry dude and then move on. Well, I guess it’s just easier said than done eh? But if you just erased that part, I think this couple is pretty cute. After Kensuke and Hasekura worked out their relationship, we were then introduced to the second couple – Kousuke and Setagawa. For this couple, I think it was a bit weird and awkward because aside from the age gap (which is actually pretty normal in yaoi btw) they started in a master-underling relationship, plus Setagawa is Kousuke’s younger brother’s best friend! But thinking back, if you just really take notice of their every interaction, you’ll realize that there’s definitely something between them. Yes, it could be awkward dating your best friend's older brother (and not to mention your teacher) but I passed along that emotion the more I watched this anime. Plus, their conflict we’re kind of emotional, and I think that really added spice to this anime. If the couples in this anime were men and women, you would think it was cliché but there’s just something about this anime that I can’t seem to brand as just “another typical yaoi anime”. Ofcourse story wise, it was indeed typical but I still like it. I don’t want to jump into conclusion just because I’m in a yaoi mood lately that’s why I like it, but I would like to think that there’s just some inexplicable things this anime has that pulled me into it. Lastly, I also loved the art and the funny scenes. Most yaoi anime I’ve watched lately feature animals, and for this one, it’s a cat and then later on a dog. It’s just so cute!

Well This anime.... Art 7 - The art is really pretty I liked it, nothing felt out of place like all the characters belonged, and they all looked different enough to not confuse one character for another, you can see this just by looking at there eyes and face shapes. From the art we really get a sense of the characters different personality's like one of the main character's Kensuke showing every worry thought and feeling including lies on his face. There are not to many environments which does help not get to lost where you are and what the characters are suppose to be doing can be a downside to some because not much variety. The op did annoy me but I will explain this a little later but what I did appreciate about the op and the only good thing I will say about it really is the colour choice I thought the brightness was refreshing and nice and all the colours went well together as well the character's still felt the same in the opening because of the art. Animation 4 - if animation doesn't bother you just move down to the next paragraph. Animation has never really bothered me in anything before but at some points of the anime I felt like I was being shown a power point presentation if we take the opening as an example it is loads of pans and still frames and the very little animation going on is not very interesting, which is why I can't stand it personally because they could have done so much with an opening like that but it felt so wasted. I also can't help but laugh every time I see a character run, it is so unrealistic it feels like a parody of some one running elbows out wide animation gets really janky in these parts if you like a bit of weird animation this will be right up your ally. I feel like the animation is lack luster in general. Character 6- As mentioned in the previous section the art really helps build on the characters and gives them so much personality and uniqueness but there are some things of note here, not all the characters were as interesting as they could have been I feel there was so much squashed potential here. There bond was apparent though and its nice to see really especially in a later episodes with Shige in the flash backs you really see the momentum of this friendship. With the back stories that are reveled you can tell why the characters act like they do but it would have been nice to find out just that little bit more about the supporting characters so we could get a sense of where they fit in. A major factor for the 6 is there could have been more development but what we got was still nice to see. Sound 5 - Wasn't much music choice either it wasn't what I would say bad or good just bearable but the music did express the scene well and I feel it is the sort of background music that grows on you as you find out where they use it why they are using it and how it fits in to the scene but the first few times hearing it I wasn't such a big fan. I hated the op music though I am the sort of person to never skip it but this op just grated on me, I think it might have been because of the animation though. I felt for this opening it felt like it should have been more upbeat for the bright colours and images that were getting shown but it felt to slow and low energy, although music is defiantly one I recommend listening to yourself to get a true picture of it. Story 6 - The first episode sets up a very interesting premise with the stand point of a hero, and through out the anime they kept coming back to the original story point which for people who love continuity this anime is very good because everything links together in some way from the past to the present. There were some things I personally couldn't stand like in the beginning of the series the relationship between Kensuke and Hasekura felt a bit like sexual harassment with the way Hasekura was acting towards Kensuke and also felt like he was holding his friendship over his head using that to his advantage. As well with the student and teacher relationship it is illegal no person in there right mind would ever do what they did half way through the series although this relationship still felt more real because of the buildup to the ending, with the directions the story take. The story normalizes Gay relationships rather than saying it is weird just accepting it for what it is which is refreshing to see in a genre like this, it dosn't need to be hidden, besides the student teacher part that does need hidden. The ending was worth it building up to that moment all anime it was very satisfying to see it executed at the end. Enjoyment 5 - For my own personal enjoyment it was to be a 5 some of the smaller thing kept annoying me like the opening that pulled me away from it while having amazing things like the overarching story keeping me pulled in. I wanted to mention the comedy here because there are what I seen as funny moments and sweet moments which really make you feel just happy to be on the journey with the characters. Overall 5 - The art and story and character really shine in this anime and if this is what you prefer about your anime it is going to be an amazing watch for you and I highly suggest so. I feel like this is an experience that most of us could pass up on though and not really have missed anything amazing from our lives but it has its sweet moments and even a bit of re watch value. If stuff like music or animation is the most important thing to you I would suggest looking the opening up separately and deciding from there or just giving this one a miss. If you decide to watch the show I hope you enjoy it and if not I hope you found something fun to watch.

It is definitely cute. the artstyle is very colorful and bright. The characters are sometimes typicial yaoi stereotypes ( like the clueless one, the hot silent and cool one, the older cool one, the hyper and childish one, the too good for this world personality one and so on) but I didn't really mind that. The show is very cute and does focus on the emotions and hardships of the relationships between the characters. Although sometimes you do think that shit is going to go down and then it kind of disappoints by deflecting the situation and it all being a misunderstanding Overall I really did enjoy it. The show is very cute and really well animated.
KatsumiYoshida
In the begining, the story brings some hope of being an enjoyable and different plot, not more of the same (even being visible the cliche), this impression is best saw in the initial comedy moments and the fast development of the secondary relationship. But, well, it's easy to realise that all of this impression changes in the further episodes. It isn't bad at all, but it's as an ordinary yaoi manga, quite fun but nothing new and that catching. And the animation is visiblely low quality, the scenes with more movement are worth of crying (u will see this when they run, it's pretty disappointing
