“Shingeki no Kyotou” was one audition of a special of the series Shingeki no Kyijon screened on the Tokyo sky tree. I haven't attended it in person, I do think it would have made for such an experience to be able to. The context was simple, a bunch of official edits of the main series with fabricated dialogue to make up for a parody of the Titans attacking the Tokyo tower, while the main characters of the series are defending it. Don't think that you've missed out on a huge thing, because all of the shots used are featured in the series in a way or another, however, they didn't have to be all related, a thus, a lot of shots from season two are being juxtaposed with the ones of the first season and order to trick you into thinking it was the same thing, and it actually worked in a pretty cheesy, but cool way.

Attack on Skytree is basically a bunch of attack on titan scenes that you've seen before but with the Tokyo Skytree edited into them. The dialogue has been changed to turn this collection of scenes into an attack on titan parody about protecting the Skytree from a titan attack. The main problem that this special has is that the only way to view it seems to be a video someone recorded on their phone and posted on youtube which doesn't make for a great viewing experience. The story itself is mediocre since it's just an attack on titan parody centered around the Skytree. The animation is good but it's mostly scenes you've seen before. The voice acting and music were okay. Overall this is most definitely NOT worth watching for basically everyone. The only available way to watch this is a phone recording, the scenes are re-used and its basically just something to entertain the people who were visiting the Skytree at the time.

Another one of those Attack on Titan specials shown at Tokyo Skytree (completely unnecessary, especially for those who didn't have the opportunity to experience the event live in Japan). The concept itself severely limits the experience. It's content designed to be consumed in person, as a themed attraction, and not something that works well outside of that context. When you remove it from the original environment, with its big screens, immersive sound, and the entire atmosphere of the event, what remains is an extremely stripped-down and unimpressive version. And that's precisely the problem. For those who, like me, only had access to fan-made recordings, often of low quality, with poor audio and shaky image, the experience becomes quite frustrating. There's no well-produced official version that allows you to truly enjoy the content. The result is something that feels incomplete, almost like watching a poorly edited "film" lacking any technical care. Furthermore, unlike other specials that at least try to expand the universe or bring some relevant extra content, this one adds absolutely nothing to the narrative. There's no character development, no significant new scenes, not even a strong entertainment appeal. It's material that exists more as a promotional piece than as content that stands on its own. Another point against it is precisely the poorly utilized sense of exclusivity. Instead of adapting the special to a format accessible to a global audience, with a polished version suitable for streaming or home video, it ends up stuck with amateur footage. This creates a huge barrier and, in the end, pushes fans away more than it attracts them. Overall, the impression left is of something empty, without real purpose outside of the original event. For those who want to consume everything related to the franchise for completeness, it might serve as a curiosity, but even so, it's hard to say it's worth the time invested. I don't recommend it. It adds nothing to the story, it's not particularly fun, and it suffers greatly from the limited way it's accessible. Rating: 4/10. Nota: 4/10.
