DISCLAIMER! Everything written on this review is my personal opinion only as an Anime watcher(I haven't read the light novel yet). Story: Just like the 2 prequel of Date A Live the plot didn't change in this new season. The story of this new season is cut into three major parts. The first part is all about a new spirit which shall not be name for spoiler sake aside from her ability "copy cat"(which is not the actual name of her angel), the second part is all about Origami's past and present circumstances, and lastly about Shido's spirit power and his relationship with other spirits as well how they view him specially for Tohka. Art: The art is beautiful. It really lives up to it's expectation as Waifu Anime. Sound: The OP&ED song are beautiful. The OST use some episode is also amazing specially the orchestral part. Enjoyment: I enjoyed it a lot. I really love Date A Live franchise and as Anime Lover and watcher for a long time. I can really say that this one still holds a very special place in my heart despite the feeling that JC staff butcher this adaption and feels kinda rush i still love it. Overall: There might be a lot of hate for date a live due to it's poor adaptation but for me who haven't seen the light novel itself I must say that it's good to see Date A Live getting a season III and soon a Season IV. Lastly I just wanna mention that you might see this as a generic anime that have a lot of cliche moments and i also admit it myself, but i don't know how to explain it except that this Anime is really Special(At least for me and it won't change just because of others telling me that it's not good). Gotta enjoy what you love after all! :D

To be honest i was planning on giving 10/10 but this season (season3) the way it ended was not really good. i mean its not sad or emotional or something but its more like they just ended this very soon. when i first saw Season 1 it really felt amazing to watch, the story was good too i also shipped [TohkaX Shido] i wanted them to be together but again its a harem anime. the polt of this season was also good but the only thing i disliked was the ending. i feel like half of the story is still left to cover and they just ended it. if you are a fan of harem anime i recommend you to watch this its really good with lots of sweet girls fighting for one guy, ya ya i know that dosent happen in real life therefore you have anime on this.

SPOILER HEAVY REVIEW: DAL S3 isn't as disastrous in animation as people claim. It is serviceable, average and whomever watches DAL S3 for its animation is stupid. Not to mention that not even MAL has an "animation" category. One of the most brilliant stories in recent memory. The sound composition is phenomenal. Episode 12 may hands down be the best finale I've seen since Last Exile and that says a lot as to how great this show was. The art, as always, is great. On a subjective note, I don't care for Natsumi, but objectively she's pretty integral to the story. Overall, this is something you should watch.

Was excited for the third season to this anime. It's always been a solid go to series for me. This season didn't disappoint. About the only complaint I had was the art. It was a little sub par compared to the previous entries in the series, which could be chalked up to JC Staff taking on too much work this year. Beyond that, though, it was still the same old Date A Live. Same fun characters, harem comedy, fun action and a little bit of romance. That ending was sweet. Fortunately they didn't try to make the Kurumi arc as complicated as it could have become given the topic, which often becomes the downfall for may stories out there, like Island. All in all, I certainly intend on re-watching the entire series again. Not sure if they will make another season, but if they do, I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Ive tackled season 1 and 2. After the experience of e watching this anime’s S3, again, I really think this will deserve a similar score to that. I will make this self explanatory because its pretty much the same explanation. -New characters Introduced -Typical slice of life -Romance and Ecchi -Form activated because of kissing a guy That’s all i have to say for now, unless changes are made for the S4. Again four the love of God, this is based on opinions personally so pls dont get yourself offended. Otherwise, if you want to see this then its fine for me, because that doesn’t bother me anyways. That’s all for now, i guess…..

So, first 4 episodes was boring and same can be sound about the last. but everything in between is like a bill if not great. (that’s mine thoughts of the episodes without going into detail about what happens in the episodes itself.) The story overall is very good. the story is great when they start entering the timelines (in the second half) . But that is the best it gets: the last episodes kill the impact of the climax. The sound is good great at points: with the music. "Ground Zero" or "Kurumi theme" is a good example of 2 music that is great during all data alive. There are much more during the show. But the opening is nothing to write home about. As I said above the story is dull at points so it can heavily take away from the enjoyment from the series. If there any reason to what "data a live" is the music alone. "Date A Live" only gets an 8 because the last episodes bring it down. It this season ended at Episode 11 then overall this series would have got a 9.

tl;dr: A sequel season that has a story with a weak first arc and pretty great second arc, though seems to be a not so great adaptation across the board. This is the third season of Date A Live and yet again the previous studio has gone bankrupt and production has shifted to a new one. Story wise it’s pretty much the same as past seasons in that it’s essentially entirely character oriented with the majority of the focus being on the heroine’s who’s arc it is, this season first focusing on Natsumi and then Origami. The arc involving Natsumi has various things going on centered around her ability to transform herself and others, the largest of which was a game where she makes someone disappear and uses her power to replace them, and Shido gets one guess a day until he figures it out wherein each failure results in another person around him disappearing. This is good in theory as it allows Shido to show he has strong bonds with the heroines, but in implementation it felt like a mess that didn’t do that at all. Firstly, a list is essentially provided of who Natsumi could have replaced, and it includes a bunch of side characters. That he should be able to tell if they’re fake as well kind of diminishes the point as his bond with the heroines should be what’s being highlighted. But even worse than that is that he guesses heroines wrong multiple times, which sort of ruins that aspect entirely. The only thing Shidou had going for him was his bond with the heroines, so this arc putting that in doubt makes him look incredibly lame. The solution to this arc was also incredibly dumb. On top of that, Natsumi personality is simply awful during this arc, just like Miku was, though she doesn’t actually do anything as horrible as Miku did. Miku I would say has redeemed herself, but as of this end of this season I don’t think Natsumi has. The background provided on why she was the way she was was pretty weak, in that she gets fleshed out somewhat as having a major complex due to bullying and that she was basically just an immature child throwing a tantrum, but it still didn’t feel like enough to make up for what happened during her arc. So this arc as a whole I would say is the weakest in the series. The second arc focusing on Origami was a lot stronger. It involves a lot of crazy stuff that leads to all sorts of plot holes and inconsistencies, but it was a really interesting story that was a wild ride from beginning to end with a good amount of strong emotional moments. It provides a lot of background on Origami, while also showing her in a different light, and changing her character completely while also not changing it at all. It did a good job at putting a character that had already been in the series from the beginning in the spotlight and fleshed out pretty much everything mysterious about her while also having a lot of serious and humorous call backs to portions earlier in the show. It also has a good amount of Kurumi, which was nice. There are also some random mysterious tidbits relating to an overarching narrative beyond just saving spirits, but it’s still incredibly nebulous at the moment. This arc ends before the final episode though, and the final episode felt pretty much like filler. The majority of this was great though, I would say the funniest episode in the series even, though it felt like it was rushed with each heroine not getting enough time. I would have preferred they had spent more time on that instead of it suddenly getting super serious at the end because the serious aspect ended up feeling forced and though it was decent enough in concept it felt weak how it was implemented. The biggest issue with the show wasn’t the story though, but rather the quality of the adaptation. Just in general, it felt like it flowed really badly and had terrible pacing at a scene to scene level so the scene direction was just awful. The story has always been somewhat random with lots of things unexplained, but it felt especially bad here in that it felt like things that definitely were supposed to be explained simply weren’t. For example, Mana for some reason simply doesn’t show up at all and no one even mentions her. So it very much felt like the script simply skipped over important events and information. Furthermore, production values were a lot worse compared to previous seasons, which is lame considering that I actually like JC Staff and know they actually do put out good work, but I guess for whatever reason they decided to skimp out here. This made a lot of scenes that should have been great simply not land, such as most all the action. Another example is the finale, which may well have worked well if it was animated properly, but with half-assed animation it simply wasn’t able to have any impact. The OP was okay visually, though I did like the song. The ED was decent in terms of audio and visuals. I did like how both of them changed over the course of the anime as character’s changed. The soundtrack was okay. I was disappointed that they played Rhapsody Flame during scenes that Kurumi ultimately had nothing to do with and didn’t play Rhapsody Rage at all.

Date A Live is a series that probably should not have run as long as it has given its simple and very gimmicky premise, but here we are anyway. S1 of Date A Live was actually surprisingly good given what was going against it initially. Good visual presentation, a memorable character cast, and a pretty decent story. S2 follow up on that a year later to very lackluster results, thanks in no part to the much weaker plot lines and annoying additions to the character cast. There was a movie in-between the wait but S3 of the series finally got announced. And when the key visual was showcased..... Yeah I'll just talk about the elephant in the room here: the animation and general visual quality here is, to put it lightly, extremely spotty. Witness the awe and wonder of character faces that go off-model when they aren't completely still, mediocre fight scenes, and sheer lack of polish. Honestly though I feel more sorry about this show than anything given that the studio producing it had several other projects running at the same time and managing them must of been like hell. Regardless, this show suffered because of that. The audio department doesn't fare too much better, but the OP and ED are decent, albeit kinda forgettable, tracks, and there are some good tunes here and there. This show mainly focuses on the capture of a new Spirit named Natsumi and the out of nowhere spirit who is one of Shido's friends. Natsumi's arc had kinda of a mystery vibe at the beginning, and some touching moments near its end, with a lot of tension and stakes, plus Natsumi is quite an endearing and spunky little character. I felt the writing here to be surprisingly solid, and some twists I honestly never saw coming before hand. Most other characters in the show generally feel the same as they usually do. Aside from Natsumi none of them really experience any permanent changes, which sucks in my opinion. Although this season does explore some interesting angles to certain characters which is neat. Speaking of which.... Later on the show then retouches upon Origami's desire to massacre spirits. We get a backstory detailing why she loathes spirits with her every being, and then, an episode or two later, she's approached by some crystal which turns her into a spirit to make her stronger. The crystal's existence to me is one of the weakest parts of the season, seeing as its something that literally comes out of nowhere with no foreshadowing and feels like it was thrown in just to spice up the plot. So of course, this means that Shido has to rescue a spirit-hater-turned-spirit. This is where Kotori finally shows up, and now, time travel. I mean, it was inevitable given that Kotori's powers are clock-themed, not having it there would make less sense. Regardless, Shido has to go back in time to prevent Origami's parents from dying, while acting like an idiot ball was handed to him. His stupidity made this section of the arc frustrating but thankfully it doesn't last too long. The whole arc comes to a close in a few episodes that are decent but aside from the final episode of the arc not that great. The episode the series ends on is a whole volume in the LNs, but aside from the ending it surprisingly didn't feel too rushed. Regardless, it was nice to see a new light of Shido, and the homage to olden-day musicals did put a smile on my face if only slightly. The season is two solid arcs mashed in-between a rather spotty arc, which actually makes this miles better than S2, which didn't really have any good arcs in my opinion, but not as good as S1. Still, its really poor production quality brings down the show a lot and makes it hard to really recommend. It's not one of the ugliest anime of all time or anything, but it sets a poor impression on the whole thing. Date A Live season 3 is a decent offering but one which probably should've stayed in the cooker for a bit longer.

I saw the first two seasons a year ago and when I recently got into this, I felt some nostalgia. The third season was kinda exciting. Although, the last couple episodes were a tad confusing. But besides that, the show really kept me entertained and wanting more. Shido continues to build his harem of "Alien Girls" and was a great person who continues to reach out and help those in need. Natsumi is an interesting character, her back story somewhat sad. Her powers are hilarious. All in all, you see some old faces and new faces. It's really entertaining and if you haven't seen the other two seasons, I highly encourage you see them and you'll be completely drawn to the series as a whole

Ok, so I'm giving this season a 10 for all because I really love the series, but here's the deal... So, I, like many others, have anxiously waited for season 3 to air. We finally get it, and I hear all these bad reviews, and I don't understand why. I sat down and just finished watching it. It kept me watching episode after episode, wanting to find out more and more of how it progresses (not having read the LN's at all). And then... outta nowhere... the final episode comes and now I know y everyone hated it. They rushed it like MAD. It coulda easily been split into 2 episodes and followed a 13 episode model (yes, I know budget and deadlines are a thing), but let's be real. They climaxed Season 3 so well and then just butchered it at the end! Overall it was great, Kurumi will forever remain the waifu of the show. Long-haired Origami kind of grew on me too. There is just ONE thing I don't understand in anime: why don't the characters ever explain what is happening and what the confusion is all about? Shidou could have easily explained his situation right off the bat instead of waiting an episode (or episode and a half) to finally do it and start getting help! Yeah, ok, it's for plot and having material to carry out, but if this wouldn't have happened, maybe we wouldn't have had a rushed episode 12? Just my $0.02... Eagerly awaiting news on a 4th season, but considering it's taken 3 years to make season 3, I doubt we'll get anything within the next year.

After 3 seasons and a few movies, I've overestimated this anime. A lot of people were talking about this anime like how good it was and stuff like that. Honestly, it was kind of good, but not worth it for a top-tier anime. So this anime has a lot of stuff that we don't know yet, for example ''What are spirits?'' ''Where do they come from?'' ''Who is the phantom girl?'' A lot of questions in my head yet it is still unanswered after 3 seasons. Now there is Date A Live season 4 coming, still don't know the exact release yet, but maybe we'll get our answers there. So the story in general has a lot of potentials, but the most of time you just see the MC dating all the spirits so he can seal their powers. Quite simple but you see that the whole time. I just want this anime to show us something different than only dating, and yes I could just go to manga but that's for another time. Some history about the spirits would really appreciate it. The characters are okay, some of them were cute and the other ones were irritating. The action is kind of cool, not too good but it was fine to watch. So in overall I just give it like a 7/10.

Date a Live franchise story is pretty much dumb but entertaining, Date A Live season 1 and 2 were well-rounded and enjoyable. Animation, artstyle, OST, everything was well thoughtout. Until JC.STAFF took over, pretty much everything that JC.STAFF did in 2019 had significantly lower quality of animation and character drawings. One punch man season 2, clearly did not live up to the EPIC standards from Madhouse. So sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, whoever that made the decision that allowed JC.STAFF to utterly butcher all those anime that they did in 2019... FK YOU. I don't even blame the animation staff, they were definitely overworked to their bones. I can only assume that JC.STAFF upper management thought their entire studio would be capable of taking on a billion projects in the short-time frame of 2019 alone. Clearly, a quantity over quality approach. Date A Live series don't deserve this crap, and neither do those other anime titles. Look at ufotable, every single major animation project they took has been fking amazing. In fact, if you look at ufotable's wikipedia page, you can see that the studio take at most 2 major animation project within a year. The only saving grace of Date A Live season 3 is still the likable characters, simple plot, and amazing OST. However, the art and animation is such a disappointment.

This will always have a special place in my heart, and honestly, I get why it’s one of your favorites. I first watched it back in 2016, and then again this year all because a friend casually mentioned that there was a fourth season and I nearly lost my mind xdd. For me, this anime wasn’t just another show. It was the first one that really pulled me into the world of anime. The one that made me want to watch more and more, explore new genres, discover new stories, and fall in love with characters in the most chaotic way possible. And even after all this time, it’s still one of the few anime I genuinely, consistently enjoy. The mix of romance, comedy, supernatural elements, and all the wild plot twists just hits differently. The characters are memorable, the story is fun, and the whole vibe is exactly the kind of thing that sticks with you for years. So yeah Date A Live isn’t just an anime for me. It’s the anime that started everything. And I’ll always love it for that.

Part 1 English Part 2 Bahasa Indonesia -------------------------------------- Well, well, well. If it isn't Date A Live III, the anime that's trying so hard to be good but falls short in some areas. Let me break it down for you. The story is a bit convoluted, with a lot of unnecessary twists and turns that don't really add much to the overall plot. It's a shame because the concept of "saving the world by dating girls" could have been really interesting, but it's not executed as well as it could have been. As for the main characters, Shido, Tohka, and Origami are the ones that stand out the most. Shido is your typical harem protagonist, which means he's pretty bland and uninteresting. Tohka and Origami have some more depth to them, but they're still pretty standard as far as anime girls go. The music is decent, but nothing really stands out. It's just your typical anime soundtrack with some catchy tunes here and there. As for my enjoyment experience, well, let's just say it was a bit of a rollercoaster. There were some moments where I was really invested in the story and characters, but then there were others where I was just rolling my eyes at the ridiculousness of it all. Overall, I'd give a 7.333 out of 10. It's not terrible, but it's not great either. If you're a fan of the harem genre and don't mind a bit of a convoluted plot, then you might enjoy it. But if you're looking for something with more substance, then I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
