Grand Blue – My Favorite Anime of All Time, No Contest I don’t even know where to begin with Grand Blue—this anime is the definition of pure joy for me. Hands down, it’s my favorite anime of all time. I’ve rewatched the first season four times already—three times on my own, just to kill boredom, and once with my friends (which made it even better). And honestly, every single time I watched it, I laughed like it was my first time. It never gets old. There’s just something about the chaotic energy, the ridiculous facial expressions, the way every scene escalates into absolute madness—it’s unmatched. The comedy hits every single time. And somehow, amidst all the absurdity and naked buffoonery, it still manages to capture that nostalgic, youthful feeling of college life, friendships, and finding joy in the stupidest things. The manga? Don’t even get me started—I caught up with it ages ago, and it was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I still remember those peaceful nights when I’d read one chapter before going to sleep. It became a ritual, a comfort. Just me, my phone, and Grand Blue’s madness to end the day on a high note. Those were the good old days. I miss them more than I thought I would. What I love most is how Grand Blue doesn't try to be anything it's not. It's not trying to be deep or dramatic. It just wants to make you laugh your lungs out—and it succeeds. But it also somehow makes you feel like you're part of the gang, like you’re right there at Izu University, getting dragged into another insane diving club stunt. Grand Blue gave me moments of pure laughter, nostalgia, and connection—both alone and with friends. It's the kind of story that sticks with you not because it tries to be profound, but because it made you genuinely happy. And for that, it’ll always have a special place in my heart.

It's been a while se we laughed this hard. hahaha. This anime brings a lot of smile, laughter, happy moments to anyone watching it. Having a bunch of silly friends doing silly things is something thatr we all yearned for. I really love the comedy in this series, the forbidden black spots on the male private part, VODKAAAAA, devious plot to overthrow one another, and many more! Season 2 is coming July this year and I can't wait to watch it. Looking forward to more about this this *Diving* anime! l⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⢋⠔⠄⠉⠻⢿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠁⠄⢀⣀⡈⢻⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠿⠿ l⣿⣿⣿⣿⡟⣱⡟⠄⠄⢀⣀⠤⠬⠭⠭⠥⠤⠤⠭⣙⡛⠿⠟⠋⠁⢀⣠⣤⣤ l⣿⣿⣿⡿⢱⡿⠃⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠉⠄⢠⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿ l⣿⣿⣿⠇⣤⣾⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠈⠻⣿⣿⣿⡟ l⣿⣿⢋⠞⠿⠟⢁⠄⢠⣶⡆⠄⣀⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠈⠛⠟⠄ l⣿⢇⠂⠄⢀⣤⣻⠄⠈⠉⠄⠄⠉⠄⠄⠄⣤⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ l⡟⠌⠄⣰⢿⣿⣿⣆⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣰⣯⣥⡀⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ l⠁⠄⢸⣿⣄⠈⠻⣿⣦⣀⣤⣀⠄⡀⣰⣿⣿⣿⣷⣄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ l⠄⠄⢸⣿⡿⠗⠄⢀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠟⠉⠁⣀⣠⣴⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ l⠄⠄⢸⡏⣀⣤⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⡀⠈⠻⣿⡿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ l⠄⠄⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢱⣶⣶⣶⣶⣎⢿⣿⣿⣦⣄⣹⠃⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ l⠄⠄⠘⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡸⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⣸⣿⣿⣿⡿⠃⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠆ l⠄⠄⠄⠄⠈⠛⠻⠿⣿⣮⣭⣯⣭⣶⣿⣿⣿⡟⠁⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⢀⣤⣇⠈ l⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠈⢻⣿⣿⣿⣭⡍⠉⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠛⠃⠄ l⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⢠⣶⡟⢀⡄⣿⣿⣿⣿⠟⡀⡀⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄

the best comedy anime i've seen so far, i laughed so hard , i enjoyed every episode at its fullest,i really enjoyed the adult comedy and definetely the story which was a well rounded story that many can enjoy, the characters were also very enjoyable they were just right so they can make the series perfect. I'd also want to add that the art style was definetely the best choice for this series i cant imagine it having another artstyle. I really believe that anyone who watches the first episode will not drop it and instead they will love it. Definetely recomending it.

it starts off funny, the main character experiences alot of bad luck, and is coerced to make bad decisions, the premise and plot however confuse me. it seems the main character is set on pursuing a romantic relation with his...cousin...and there is no indication that they are not blood related soooo yea awkward.... that said this anime kind of got on my nerves as time went on, the humor is basically the same as fart jokes in essence but with nudity in place of the flatulence. Virtually all of that nudity is one sidedly of the male pursuasion....so it felt super awkward watching it occur on repeat as time went on. my thought continued be to "it was funny the first time but now its stale and weird". this one might be a tough watch to get through especially if your seeking the diving aspect of the show early on...the first real aspects of diving dont appear until late into episode 2. this show reminds me of gintama, but gintama isnt restricted to male nudity jokes, gag drinking jokes, and incest....my opinion? go watch gintama, as it is this but 10x more imaginative and funny

I was feeling a bit down yesterday so I decided to try out a comedy anime for the first time and alas, I feel great and happy. This is how I feel about this anime if I have to put it out in a sentence. There's no complex story, it's all about the daily 'adventures' of a freshman Iori who's residing in his cousin's house which is also a scuba diving club. We got ourselves a diverse range of characters who got their own personalities and traits. The story holds on to its foundation as a diving comedy and explores the art of diving giving us the exploration of the ocean and things round about it. Really can't say anything about the story as it constructs itself into one. People always recommend reading the manga saying it's more fun and got a complexity to the story, I may be wrong but I don't think the manga would make me laugh my ass off as much as the anime did because of the sheer 'Titan' expressions, the timing, and weirdness of the emotions playing in front of us. Highly recommend giving it a shot!

Grand Blue are an anime that just really fun to watch and enjoy. Whilst taking a set of college life and a club, the comedy and puns it delivers are just a remarkable one. Despite unfriendly to underage viewers, it was very acceptable and relates more for middle-aged viewer. The story was very lacking cause it seemed just revolves around the MC and kind of plain for the moment. But, it has a great setup and maybe could deliver a good story for it's next season. It almost feel like just an orientation with full of comedy and punchline while just giving a little development between the character. The art in the anime is just normally styled. Face, hair or figures was good but not outstanding. It just feel like the anime need more coloring and put a higher contrast to make it not very bland. Aside from it, everything just became amazing when it comes to the comedy scene. The Oni-styled character just very good to suite the comedy and nicely done. The sound it uses maybe seems normal, not a very different changes in different scenery. (ex: the beach sound in the shop or when in Okinawa) It doesn't gives too much impression and for me it was not too much a problem. However, the VA was very incredible with it. It almost every jokes they deliver was delivered as they intent to. It just felt like VA and character was suited and became it's own persona. The OP was good as the ED was just Grand Blue styled ED. Character are just great. Every character has their own unique and thus bringing a great set for the jokes created. The set of character was neatly created and not overused. Development for character are just simple and short, as it wasn't a story focused anime. But, it just like compact and lively thus bringing a great scene for squeeze the comedy. Also a good point that side character, despite had a short screen time they don't fail to live their own persona and making them easily remembered and noticed. Lacking in other sector doesn't make this anime bad, but fail to deliver the purpose of the anime was horrible. And this anime doesn't fail. As a slice of life and a comedy anime, this thing was just wonderful. A good comedy anime has to be accepted in it's jokes and a good slice of life anime should be able to relate. Easy plot and story making these anime were very enjoyable. Missing some of the good point doesn't ruin too much and thus it is easy to enjoy it on many occasion. Overall Grand Blue was a promising, good anime that was light and easy to enjoy. They successfully bringing their punchline, slangs, and pun to whole other level. Story was not definitely on point, but creates a huge space for development for it's next season if they continue it. I will recommend it if you just want an easy going anime that you'll play along weekends or just to have a day off to slack off and drink it away.

One of the best comedy animes out there. If you are in college, you're gonna love this! The comedy mainly focuses on drinking, parties with the bros, horrible TAs and still being sexually rejected by the opposite sex... What's there not to love! One of the things that really makes this show stand out is the art. The author uses an "over the top" art form to draw the punchline. Characters are during very specific times over exaggerated to show the emotions going on. In conclusion: are you in college, do you wanna laugh? Watch this. It has little to do with scuba diving. The diving part is just a background, *in a very simplistic analysis*.

Finally an anime that made me laugh every 2 minutes. Don't "dive" into Grand Blue unless you're aware of what it is: a comedy about getting drunk. Story: 4/10 Grand Blue focuses more on the comedic part than building an actual plot; which is great for what it is. Just don't expect to be hooked via the story. Art: 8/10 The Art is pretty good overall with some wonderful underwater shots. Character design is decent, not that particular. Sound: 7/10 I'd gave a 10 just for the opening, but overall, is nothing awesome. Just what it needs to work. Enjoyment: 10/10 Oh boy the laughs. Maybe I've watched it when I needed it, but it's a neverending gag that really lightens a bad day. If you're looking for stupid jokes and a really fun anime to watch, this is it.

Iori Kitahara moves to a seaside town to pursue Mechanical Engineering at Izu University. One day he is offered to join "Peek a Boo", his school's diving club. Despite not being able to swim, he accepts the offer after being pestered by the club members. And so his comedic bachelor life begins: Diving, stripping, drinking and even more drinking. The story is about university-life. It heavily focuses on the partying side of it, and most of the jokes are drinking or sex related. Exactly what you would expect from an anime about teenagers in heat. The art style and animation are average. The anime is still funny because the expressions and faces are so obscure it makes me burst into laughter every time. Combine that with the hysterical VA, and you have got yourself one of the funniest animes I have seen. I have said it before, but I'm going to say it again. This is one of the funniest animes I have ever seen. The story is nothing special, but the comedy and characters, especially the waifus, make up for that. If you are still very young, I don't reccomend this show because most of the jokes will probably just whoosh over your head. But if you have experienced the fun and horniness from adolescence, I 100% recommend this show.

Damn, this anime is so funny LOL. Every episode is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud, and I mean it. Grand Blue is a series that follows the craziness of college life set in a diving club, and as you might suspect if you've been to college, the characters' activities are mostly drinking and less diving. The episodes show the daily lives of these silly, amusing people and their interactions are crafted solely to make you laugh -- not really to move the story forward. Based on the comedy alone, this anime deserves a 10/10. If you were hoping for an anime that takes diving seriously, or one with a decent plot, this is NOT for you. This anime is all drinks and laughs, with a bit of diving info sprinkled here and there. That said, while I immensely enjoyed watching this series, I do think other shows similar to Grand Blue executed great characters and plot on top of stellar comedy, while even including emotional moments that don't feel forced. An example of this would be Sket Dance, which is one of my favorite anime/manga, and Kaguya-sama Love is War. Personally, I didn't get invested in any of the Grand Blue characters, even though all of them are likeable because, well... they're really funny LOL. Overall, I'd definitely still recommend Grand Blue for a good laugh! Could've done better with its plot and character development but regardless, it always puts a smile on your face.

Slice of life done right Grand Blue is a series I had no prior knowledge about other than the fact that it is funny. I never read the manga so I went into the show pretty blindly and I had a blast watching this. As far as the story goes, it is nothing special. It is a slice of life and there isn't really much of a plot to begin with, the best way to describe the plot would be steriotypical highschool protagonist gets forced to join a club. Despite the super generic and overused plot, I like the fact that the environment of this anime isn't based around highschool. Grand Blue is unique and the setting takes place in a university rather than highschool, which is something that we almost never see in anime. The opening song is absoloutly amazing and one of the reasons why I even watched this show. The music is catchy and memorable that perfectly fits the tone of the series, the ending however, is good but not something I would add to my playlist. The characters are absoloutly brilliant and well fleshed out for the most parts, some characters get more character development than others, however all of the characters stick to being fun and enjoyable to watch. The series is willing to drop it's playful tone in order to give some characters the required character development and spotlight to make them great. However, there are characters who are just plain silly throughout all 12 episodes and you don't really get their character development and therefore they don't get a chance to grow as characters. A perfect example for this character would be Kouhei, who remains goofy for pretty much the entire show without you knowing anything about him other than the fact that he is an otaku who is obsessed with anime girls. The art is beautiful and eye candy to look at. The underwater sequences are drawn really well and although the character designs aren't that special, I had no problem with the art or the animation throughout the entire series. The best part about this anime is definetly the comedy, most jokes in this show lands and it is one of the most hilarious shows out there. The comedy is well thought out, well executed and it will get at least a few chuckles out of you. Although there are some overused and cliche jokes, such as a lot of misunderstandings. Most of the comedy is really funny. If only this anime didn’t have so many cliche misunderstandings, it would feel more original. As for my enjoyement, I really did enjoy this anime and this show stays consistent with it's enjoyment for the most part, this is something that a slice of life doesn't manage to do very well for me. Although I did think some of the episodes weren't as good as some other ones, I still enjoyed this show for how it is, this show has very minor flaws and I can safely recommend it to comedy fans.

Okay, so I REALLY wanted to put out my thoughts on this anime for a while, so that the one's who are reading this know, YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT. I will keep it without any spoilers that might effect the experience, SO.. (*large inhale and exhale) LET'S BEGIN! If you found this particular anime, then it must be, most likely, in one of these 3 ways - Youtube, Google search for Top 10's or just by random and I will let you know that it doesn't matter which one you chose, I'm just glad you did, BUT if it was by Youtube, then you know, what to expect, YOU KNOW. But if you're someone who didn't by Youtube, then I would like to stop you from doing it, (watching it from there) since It's going to be 10 times, no.. EVEN 100 TIMES BETTER THAT WAY. (Trust me, it's worth it.) But now for some actual thoughts, so get your special oolong tea's ready and listen. The story is tremendously well built and if it could make even me laugh, you know it's good. The simple design for making a normal main character act so abnormal is just bloody briliant. Plus the way that they get it done with is even better and it is alcohol, yes alcohol, the one thing that unlocks our hidden meanings and intentions, like with a push of a button. But don't think that it is only about that, cause it's not, when watching this, you'll be feeling like watching two stories unfold at the same time, which is great since it gives you a little breathing room between your laughs. As for characters, the somewhat realistic nature of the story gives the characters so much deph and diversity. You will never feel bored with any of them, for each one of them have different quirks to show. Also the design and artstyle, even the music, gives it this uniqueness and positive feel, that is simply hard to resist. You can see that every aspect of this anime has been well thought through and deserves it's own praise. Overall I Arcius give it a solid 10/10, cause man it's just bloody amazing and ZeroG studios you guys are definitely one of the best, keep up the good work! I hope this gave you pretty much a feel for what to expect and I hope you love it as much as I did. I'm out, PEACE!

Grand blue is a very basic story anime about a boy who is forced into a college club, that are full of alcoholics, but all take a great interest in diving... that's pretty much the synopsis, But what makes this anime amazing is the characters! everyone is different and doesn't follow the usual mediocre character personality you get in some anime. for some reason i can bond with these characters! i can see my self and my friends in them, its something i haven't done with an anime before! the comedy in this anime can be breathtaking, with some original content that's hard to come by. would recommend this to anyone! even newcomers!

This has been long overdue but here it is ! Grand Blue is one of the funniest anime that I have come across in a while. The comedy in between the character interactions and post plot reveals is just great. Personally, I am looking forward to a second season as soon as possible. The story already has its synopsis written on the anime page, but here are my thoughts about it. It starts off very slow with a lot of comedy right at the beginning and keeps building up along the way and you won't be disappointed unless there's no second installation of the series. The interactions between the characters in their everyday life is just fulfilling to see. Despite the minimum amount of hentai hints in the anime, it's just great all around. You can see the characters evolve slowly, yet keeping you interested as you go, and it's just a blast watching them set traps or get back at each other. The amount of misunderstanding between them in this anime is epic and keeps the comedy preserved for the duration of the episode. For me, this anime is one of the few of its kinds and I'm really glad that it got its anime installation because I'm not really a manga reader. It's worth your while and gives you a little peek into the ridiculous life Iori Kitahara and his friends with lots of fun, comedy and a hint of romance to look forward too. If you're looking for a comedy filled anime to get you up from the depression of a sad series you just watched or just looking for something with a story to be interested in and filled with surprising laughter, this is one of your best bets! Have fun with it and thanks for reading my review. If you share similar interests, please hit me up with a friend request, as I'm starting to look for people to discuss similar anime with. Enjoy !

The story, the art, and mostly all other components are somewhat average. The anime itself isnt anything great if you want to be critical about it but damn is it funny. One of the only anime that has made me take pee breaks from how much i was laughing at certain jokes. This rating and review could be somewhat bias though and let me explain why. I am a 19 year old college student. Most of my friends are currently playing varsity sports and much of times that we hangout it can be somewhat similar to what the anime is showing. Due to that i frequently pause the anime and laugh comparing the anime characters with some of my friends, it can be pretty enjoyable. But overall im sure that even if you cant neccesarily relate to the anime you'll still find yourself laughing.

Twenty year old Iori Kitahara is about to start his new college life. Excited to make the most of his youth he decides to move in with his uncle who happens to run a scuba diving store named "Grand Blue" nearby. Living together with him were his beautiful cousins Chisa and Nanaka Kotegawa. All seems well until he enters the store and finds a gang of macho guys partying naked and drinking. Amongst them, Shinji Tokita and Ryuujirou Kotobuki turn out to be instructors at the store and also go to the same university. Hearing that he was a new fresher to the uni he ends up relunctantly getting dragged into their Diving Club "Peek-a-boo" club activities. Unfortunately, the club was still lacking members on fresher's day and Iori ends up dragging a classmate along too, Kouhei Imamura, a handsome guy who catches the attention of many women except his open Otaku way of life ends up keeping everyone away from him. As the new semester begins, the odd mix of personalities ends up leading to a variety of weird and awkward situations. This show revolves around the college life of characters with quirky personalities that leads to some funny or odd interactions during their everyday lives. You've got a bunch of guys that enjoy drinking and being naked while the girls around them treat it as the norm. Nanaka doesn't mind them that way around in the store but she has a sister complex and gets sexually obssessed with anything Chisa has body contact with. Then you've got Tokita and Ryuujirou's friend Azusa from the all women university who happens to be bisexual, energetic and very open minded. The list goes on... The only people that seem to be normal is Chisa who does her best to ignore it all but that doesn't stop her from being dragged into their activities since they're always around. Iori always ends up with the short end of the stick as he becomes friends with the weird bunch and ends up with all sorts of misunderstandings pinned on him. Sometimes it feels like the jokes are stretching it a bit - a lot of times they don't stray far from macho guys drinking and getting naked or running around in their underwear. However, the jokes do get a bit more interesting in the second half of the show. It also has its rare more serious slice-of-life moments when it's not being silly and fooling around so that the growing Grand Blue gang end up watching out for each other. There's no shortage of fan service scenes. Character designs are aesthetically pleasing although their angry serious expressions remind me of Attack on Titan. You'll see the girls in swimsuits quite often since it's a scuba diving club... and the naked macho guys. I don't think there's a single episode where the guys don't strip naked or are at least half naked - it's the norm for the guys. And where there's alcohol involved in any story there's usually sex too and the show isn't afraid to make a joke of out it either. Certain scenes can be... brutal. As for the music, I didn't find anything that stood out other than the odd karaoke style ending theme although, the OP "Grand Blue" fits in with the stereotype image of summer - blue skies, blazing sun and going all out with passion. It's a weird lively summery, slice-of-life comedy show full of nudity aimed at the young male adult audience, with the odd serious moments that barely touches on scuba diving. It's all about drinking and partying nude - your whole summer YOLO attitude. At least after watching this you'll be a bit more knowledgeable about scuba diving if you weren't already and know what an "Old Man" or "Hamasaki's Wife" can mean in Okinawa.

Grand Blue was not under my radar eventhough a lot of people had already talked and discussed about it considering how well known it is throughout the community because my first impressions told me that it was going to be another generic slice of life anime. However, once i gave it a 2nd change, that is when all of my point of view completely changed. and here is why : 1. Story (7) well there is not much of a story considering that it is still belong to the slice of life category but to summarize the things that you are going to expect from here onwards, it all started when an adult teen named Iori Kitahara went off to his uncle's diving shop in order to prepare for his college life but that was when he encountered the local Diving Club, at first you would probably had thought that its going to be just a normal diving club but turns out it consist of full of buff men who spend more time drinking, partying, and stripping naked than actually diving instead, now that's a plot twist! Anyhow, he also met her cute cousin who was then unfortunately had a wrong first impression about Iori and thus beging Iori's journey with the rest of the crew of the diving club. 2. Art (9) the visuals are absolutely top notch.Probably some of the best ive seen in recent memories and quite an achievement for a comedic anime like this. all of the character's expression and superb animation really does bring the whole setting to life especially when the whole team when off diving in the ocean along with its breathtaking and crystal clear open waters. Although, character's overreacting facial animations are just cherry on top but they are being overused quite a lot that it can sometimes become stail but overall, fantastic visuals and animation indeed. 3. Sound (8) for this category, i feel like the seiyuus did a splendid job playing the roles of the characters. the voices actually blended really well with the character's personalities. if im going to spell out even more, their voice acting might be on par as gintama's character voice acting with all of those overreacting moments which is something very great indeed. as for the music, its your typical and standard slice of life background music without anything noticable but its decent for its own. 4. Characters (9) in my honest opinion, i really like the interactions between the characters. every single one of them had their own style of doing things and unique relationships. for instance, Iori Kitahara and his otaku weirdo friend, Kohei who was tricked to enter the diving club have probably one of the best chemistry in all history of comedic anime. whatever they did from blowing up antics to getting themselves into trouble, they always made me laugh. the same goes to the side characters notably Azusa, she is not one of those kind of "generic women tropes" you can see why if you watch the anime. However, the only character that i dislike are Ryuijiro and Shinji aka the "drunken duo" not in the sense of pure hate its just that their roles most of the time are just getting drunk and strip naked. i do admit that they can be pretty serious sometimes especially when it comes to diving lessons but forcing iori and kohei to join their alcohol party is something that i really dont like from them eventhough those 2 had grown accustomed with drinking alchohol. 5. enjoyment/personal opinion (9) at first when i first found out that the anime is mostly about university students doing crazy stuffs like getting drunk and having a naked party i was turned off by the concept since the cover title literally tells the audience that its going to be an anime about diving. well fortunately it did provided us 3 episodes about diving and im really glad that the characters took it seriously. After i finished the anime, it turned out to be actually great! i was entertained with all of the hilarous moments from it and this is coming from a guy who dont usually watch slice of life anime. if you want to look for comedic anime that doesnt use the cliche tropes and wouldnt mind with all of the over drinking and getting naked stuffs then you should give it a try. 6. overall (9)

*NO SPOILERS* [Story 7/10] It has a basic story. A bunch of university students drinking alcohol and diving. It is a simple story, done beautifully. [Art 7/10] Nothing much to say for the art, it's smooth and colorful. [Sound 9/10] The sound is pretty good. The music, opening, sound effects, ending, everything is on point with the sound. It really catches that summer beach feeling. [Character 8/10] Everything about characters is executed well. The designs, the voice acting, the connection between all them, is all done well. It really has interestingly weird characters which are all admirable. [Enjoyment 8/10] It's an enjoyable anime. It's funny, diverse and everything they've aimed for. The only cons about it is that some parts of the humor are over-used but it's not that bad though. [Overall 7/10] It's a great anime. Combining comedy, slice of life, seinen, you'll really enjoy it from the beginning till the end. The humor, characters, sounds are greatly done. I recommend you watch this anime if you're looking for a goody anime to laugh.

*Disclaimer* Just personal scratch. Advised, possible spoilers. Opinion & Informal Art: 8/10 It was good. Anatomy and proportions were...both normal and interesting lol. The main duo, the MC and his otaku buddy, were normal. The girls too, they were about normal for a male targeted anime. The girls in this show had pretty crazy proportions and figures. Curves, all at least double-D, flawless faces, etc. I don't dislike sexualized female characters too much. It fit into the vibe of this show so I mostly overlooked it. This show was meant as a show to relax and let loose to me. So I thought to just enjoy both the hilarious comedy and the pretty girls. The scenery was nice. There was some nice showcasing of nature: the world under the surface, the wildlife, everything. The faces and mannerisms of the characters are so unique, unique as in really awesome and different; the idea of using distorted anatomy and faces isn't new, but this show did it damn well. The art in general was crisp, clean, and really nice to look at. Animation: 7/10 It was fluid. The animation quality was about average. There weren't any noticeable shortcuts or places where they skimped out. The animation was an average-good. Nothing really to point out that was bad. Characters: 9/10 The characters along with the artstyle and interesting scenarios are what really made this show what it is. The characters never made a moment boring. The characters made this show so enjoyable that episodes seemed to fly by. I wouldn't say well written, but these characters were very much so well done. They didn't need complex back stories or personalities. It was their general dynamics with one another to the scenarios they were in are what made them so great. The character designs weren't too interesting except for the pretty-boy otaku. That was pretty unconventional: the first introduction to him where it pans down to his anime shirt...that was hilarious. Plot: 7/10 It's a show about diving...I mean...uhh...THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION. UNDERAGE DRINKING IS STRONGLY PROHIBITED AND ILLEGAL. SCENES INVOLVING ALCOHOL WITH FORCEFUL CONSUMPTION AND SHAMEFUL ACTS ARE NOT ENCOURAGED. PLEASE VIEW THIS AS A COMEDY. FURTHERMORE, ALL CHARACTERS APPEARING IN THIS WORK ARE OF LEGAL AGE. Development: 7/10 Drinking. Music: 6/10 The OP is super catchy. The ED was meh. The bgm was nice but unmemorable. Soundboard was used nicely in the comedy. No real sound design. Conclusion: 6/10 Open-ended ending for the future of fun. Motivated me enough to pick up the manga. No questions were really there to be answered with the conclusion so there isn't much complexity to this conclusion. It was a standard ending. Overall: 8/10 This was great. It's shows like these that motivate me to continue my hobby of watching anime no matter how bad the slumps get.

I have not read the manga but this was one of the shows that i was looking forward to this season and it did not disappoint. STORY 8: Episodes are usually split into 2 parts and maintains continuity across them. For a show about diving there is very little of it but it hardly matters, the show is gut busting hilarious. And it's refreshing to have the members in college. ART 7: The underwater scenes are average. It doesn't look breathtakingly beautiful as the characters state. But above land the art hold up well and the some of the faces are remarkable, kind of like what konosuba was like SOUND 7: Nice OP. The VA is good. The background score is okay CHARACTER 9: Amazing. They all stand out in terms of personality and their antics are something to look forward to ENJOYMENT 10: Damn, this show is hilarious. I have had to pause episodes becuase i was laughing so much OVERALL: Comedy of the season for me. Highly recommend it
