Plunderer is a series that fluctuates between good and average... But the constant humor, the characters and the action scenes make up for the average animation and the questionable and flawed script. I was going to give it a 7, but since the last episode has many hilarious comedy scenes and even a good hint of romance, I decided to give the anime a 8. It's a shame that it will apparently never have an animated conclusion to the story, the only way is to go after and read the manga, which ended in 2022. Anyway, a 8! Date: 06/05/2025.

The writer(s) should just go to horny jail, but still a lot goes down in this 24 prologue-like episodes. The characters are fun and most of them are really interesting. Sadly, the anime - in most cases - leaves those backstories and interesting details for the viewer to imagine, since it does close to nothing in that regard when it comes to most of the characters. Some, however, have serious development which is really hard to squish into 24 episodes, but they did it and it's most fulfilling. Obviously this means other characters will lack any kind of complexity, so just keep that in mind. These days people seem to focus a lot on looks, and this one lives up to those expectations, it's beautiful, well saturated and nicely animated. The story has tremendous potential. These 24 episodes are like a prologue, and a great one at that. We get to know the main character pretty well, however at some point the hero's burden becomes a bit annoying - viewers don't need to be reminded of things 10 times an episode. What little we came to know of the state of the world is alright, perfectly fit for an introduction, and at this time there is no need for more. There is little to no explanation as to how the villain became what they are today, which can be a bit annoying but as I said before, some characters will be lacking, while others will have great arcs. If they ever decided to continue this anime, it could become a good one. For consumption I recommend water, since female characters are thirst-traps.

3 years 2 months and 1 day. I started the Anime January 11th 2020 and did not finish it until March 12th 2023. I got to episode 17 as it was releasing and have not picked it up since. I cant really say why other than maybe it was because I enjoyed it so much at first. So, I didn't want it to end hearing how it was going south, and how it wouldn't be able to finish properly. But most of the questions I had were answered in the anime after episode 17 (I had already spoiled a good bit for myself 3 years ago to answer my questions however). It is a bit of a cliff hanger ending and there has not been any updates to the anime since but I think it had a nice way of bringing down the curtain. That's coming from someone who waited 3 years to come back and finish it. I would recommend this anime for casual comedy and action enjoyers like myself. I grade easily and Its not quite a memorable 10; However, it is rather memorable and deserving of a watch and a good laugh. I'm glad I finally got the "want" to come back and finish this anime.

Alright. All I can say is that, to SOME extent, I agree with the reviews that were made so far. HOWEVER, I did not find the anime itself to be as bad. There were numerous unnecessary moments - yeah, the story did not have its explanation or development, and from time to time was also super dramatic (for no reason). I won't lie; it raised a lot of questions for me, and I understand why everyone is so disappointed - it had the potential to be much more. Let's hope for season 2, I guess. While the poster, the first few episodes and ecchi elements give the impression that this would not be a show that would leave viewers with heavy emotions, the further the story goes, the darker it gets (I even cried). There were times when the plot and direction of the story really disturbed me, so be mindful of that. Nevertheless, I really did find it enjoyable. The laughter was plentiful, the visuals weren't bad either, and the characters were very likeable. If you want to watch it, just do. Despite the rating you might actually like it if you give it a try, you never know, right?

Honestly, I don't understand why this anime is getting so much hate. It's not bad but not a masterpiece. It's something to watch when you have nothing else to watch. The story itself is pretty bland but not in a bad way. More or less you can pretty much predict what's going to happen but again its not bad. If it had a little more oomph in it it would be pretty good. The Art style is pretty basic too. But it's not horrible. Like I always say it could be worse. also boobs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) The characters in my opinion are really likeable characters, main chick is kind of bland and annoying but still likeable in a way (boobs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ). Main character is a funny perv (like issei from Highschool DxD) and he is hella op (if you like OP MC's this is a anime for you). Finally, all the side characters are very likeable, no issues with them. Again, this isn't a masterpiece anime, if you have high expectations, don't bother watching it. If you're someone who has nothing to watch and you wanna watch something that has, boobs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , strong MC, somewhat decent story then I feel like you will watch it. Gonna read the manga.

Plunderer is... quite complex to talk. The series establishes a very interesting concept, it has some cool mysteries but I don't feel they are used correctly. The series is clearly character-driven but many of them aren't interesting to follow. It's a series with potential, but it often stumbles over its own feet. Let's talk about a few points. Yes, it has ecchi, but you can't watch a 24-episode series with ecchi and complain about it. If you don't like it, stop watching after the first episode because it's clearly the type of ecchi from the beggining. But I often feel that these moments are unnecessarily long, especially those used in jokes, like you might find it funny when it starts but after 5 to 10 minutes of the same joke, you start thinking, "When is this going to end?". For a series focused on character and interaction between them, there isn't really one that I'd say "wow, I really like him/her". Like, there's nothing wrong with them, but they're just uninteresting most of the time, like that blond guy from the main group, He's so unremarkable that he seems more like a glorified extra than a supporting character. You also have the power system, numbers that dictate how the world works; you have something tied to what you do. If you do it correctly, it goes up; if not, it goes down. If it reaches zero, it's the end. That reminds me of the movie In Time, but imagine if that film introduced the time system and then, after the first 30 minutes, simply sidelined it. The protagonist starts out very strong, so there are practically few who challenge him, and he doesn't have to deal with not having enough numbers since most of the top tiers are already well balanced. Even though he's being pursued, he doesn't need to worry about someone stealing their numbers since nobody does that, even though it was introduced as a big deal at the beginning. Furthermore, don't worry if the protagonist's numbers don't seem sufficient to face an enemy; after all, they either hide them or receive massive buffs whenever they want. I would say that the mysteries are the best-constructed part; there are several inconsistencies that you can notice from the beginning of the series that make you think, "Wow, what bad worldbuilding," but they are intentional, Especially considering the revelation that will come later, all of this will make a lot of sense. It's a series with good potential, but honestly, it struggles to work through certain things. The numbering system, in particular, is one of the biggest wastes the series has. I hope the next season improves some of these aspects.

Anime story and the count concept is awesome. However the execution, scenes matching, character development and approaching were too bad, tbh. The description is something that makes you fell this anime is a hidden gem while it's a chicken anime covered in GOAT skin! You will see first an isekai world (it's not an isekai anime) with some magics and old era things. However the story says something else and thats the most interesting part. That isekai-like world is not the actual world. So ofc you will be interested. But thats all there is. You will keep watching just bc of the mystery reveal. It has literally one of the worst fighting scenes with no artstyle and no real skills/power. The ecchi scenes were fine though but if you are onto only action, then this anime is clearly not for you. And one of the most epic scenes was like: "Let's make babies, my ace" (Now you might wanna watch this crap xD)

In short: If you want an anime that has a really good story, is somewhat fun, and you don't care about 90% of it being fan service, well, this is for you! And keep in mind when I say fan service. A LOT OF IT. Intro: The story is centered around a cute, naive, ingenuous, pure (insert more nonsense shoujo tropes here) girl, that sees a harasser and kinda likes him out of nowhere(???) because she is seeking someone to take the "power cell" that was given to her by her mom. Yes, this is a cringe show. This anime is really... messed up. It has an interesting story and really cool characters, but lost its way with all the fanservice. I know that a little bit of fanservice is good, and sometimes fun if executed in a good way, but this anime goes too hard with it. I was a teenager a long, long time ago too, full of testosterone and wanting to see beautiful girls, but this anime goes a little too hard, to the point where it becomes annoying. Animation: 7 It is good. The characters are well drawn and the fights are fun. They really put a lot of work in to make it feel nice to watch. The only downside here is that the fights have a lot of "staring competitions," where two people just "look at each other" and scream mid-fight. But it is pretty and above average. Sound: 5 I'm no sound expert at all, but this anime was a little bit off with its sound design. I really do not know if it was the dubbing, or the sounds themselves, but something was off and I didn't like it too much. Character: 5 It is shallow. The character development is kinda there, but it does not go deep or show any progress. They have their own beliefs but everyone is really naive, the villains are very "wow I'm bad," and the MC is "I'm powerful, let me show you how powerful I am." ...and proceeds to get his ass kicked by ANYONE in this show that is not a side character. Story: 5 The funny fact is that the story is really good, but the development of it is not. If you can balance "skipping the bullshit" with watching the plot, it is fun. The world is, as always, rich and full of lore, but it is really undeveloped. 90% of the fan service (and THERE IS A LOT in this show) could have been skipped. Some scenes could have been changed to be more meaningful. Sometimes things just happen to "make the MC do something," and it is always "create a problem to sell a solution," and everything that happens is to make the MC look cooler or more badass. Another problem is the power scale. The MC is called "really powerful" and so on, but almost everyone kicks his ass and he gets schooled by everyone. Enjoyment: 6 It is well-paced and sometimes really exciting. But as I wrote before, the quantity of fan service really throws this off. The characters are always naive and that makes the anime a little less interesting. Overall: 5/10 This anime had the potential to be REALLY fun. It is worth your time if you don't have anything else to watch, but if you have another thing in mind, just skip this.

What an absolute hidden rusty warn down gem. I say this because it isn't gold or really even all that great, but its unique with an interesting power system that is applied to all parts of the verse. The protagonist starts off being pretty creepy and the female lead is also quite boring. Getting to the middle of the season is where things sit at enjoyable to watch. If I had to choose a show that was most similar I'd probably say Black Clover. Unfortunately though, for whatever reason, the writer of this story attempted at some kind of philosophical backstory to try to give the protagonist some kind of trauma the audience is supposed to sympathize with. This backstory then proceeds to consume the entire rest of the show, and it's sloppy. If the show continued on the pace it was going in the middle episodes, it would've performed much better.

I´ve would recommended this Anime Plunderer because just have to see it, it has everything fun, you can enjoy it, you can laugh, nice fight scenes the anime quality is also very high. I like anime like this when the characters can live so freely and show their traits perfectly. Plunderer is an anime that you could watch every year and you´d never get bored like Black cat wew I think everyone would enjoy this, cuz its unique. Art Style is like its own story. When Licht Bach comes up with funny moments the only thing you can do its watching him until the end cuz its Loveeee

Like so many of the majority of Anime series that get overlooked and finally lost to obscurity, this series albeit sizeable for 1 season, should have definitely lasted AT LEAST 1 to 2 more seasons! Plenty of source material, an AWESOME storyline arc, and a great cast lineup of memorable, loveable, and unlikeable characters. I love how each episode had me glued to the remote, ready at any second to hit next or enter when asked if I wanted to bypass the credits and move on to the next episode or skip the intro music. I love to keep the party going nonstop with no breaks. Many a bladder pains can attest to my refusal to pry my eyes away from the screen lol. Anyway, even though it's been an extremely long time since the series aired season finale, many other pandemic time framed series have been making a comeback and all of us loyal watchers/readers are still around and ready to get back in the saddle for season 2. So let'er rip!

The plot twist when the "demon of the abyss" shows up gave me a lot of hope that this was actually going to turn out to be a great show that mislead me early on with a slow buildup and derpy sex humour, but pretty quickly it descended back into bad clichés and nonsenscial plot points. I can't recommend it, but maybe the nonsense is a result of adaptation rather than inherently bad writing. I have no idea because I haven't read the Manga, but I would hope that it's better. Apparently the review needs more information (I don't think it really does, but here we go) Is the story unique? --- Sure, the premise is interesting enough. It's handled in some very predictable and unfortunate ways, but as stated above, the demon of the abyss creates a suddenly very interesting dynamic in the world building. This is completely let down by every other aspect, and there was one scene in particular that was absolutely fuckin wild. Is the art style fitting? --- For the most part it was fine. I would've preferred a bit more grit to it, or more committment to the harsher elements, but the animations was certainly not terrible by any means. There the characters well rounded? --- lol no, Licht is basically a sex offender, and for a sec I thought the story was going to give him some reason for his behaviour that would relate to his Minus Count, but really he's just like that which is pretty shocking. Additionally plenty of bland copy paste archetypes to be found here. Did the characters reaction to situations in a realistic way? --- Kind of, for a lot things, but definitely no when it comes to Licht's perverted nonsense. Will others enjoy or dislike this? --- I think plenty of people would dislike it, and I'm sure some people would enjoy it well enough, but ultimately there are so many better shows you could be watching instead.

Its not what you think it is, it begins as a harem, comedy and fantasy anime but it becomes something more. There are a lot of twists in the story, the anime does not do the manga justice, there is alot of filler despite the fact that manga was ahead of the anime, it's worth watching nonetheless, there is alot of ecchi but some good serious moments and the season ends on a big cliffhanger. There is an air of mystery about the world and how it became like that, its almost completely missing from the anime except for a few moments, If you're disappointed with the anime then I suggest reading the manga, it is actually good, the twists keep the story interesting

I finished this anime in 2 days it was fun anime to speedrun kinda... Story is solid and if you like ecchi anime you won't be disappointed. I gave it score 8/10 maybe it's to high of a score but if I could give it a real rating it would be something like 7.8 so it's one of better animes that I have seen, still not near good enough to compare with some better shows but time I spent watching this was enjoyable. Anyways I plan to watch season 2. Artstyle of this anime reminds me of "That time i got reincarnated as a slime" and it looks really solid. I really don't know why people give this anime score 2-4/10 I mean its much better then that it deserves more... Underrated anime in my opinion avrage score of 6.57 is way too low. If you have time over I feel like you should give it a chance also its only 24 episodes so you can't speedrun it like me.
