Very good, I watched season 1 & 2 from start to finish and it's a bit of a tear jerker near the end. Not trying to spoil anything but you will get some feels if your following the show closely. They do a good job with the voice acting feeling out the scenes, and they dont throw the obvious at you every episode like other romance animes which is nice. The characters are a little cliche but they got their own unique feel. Be a really great date show for couples in a serious relationship or for single people just into serious love stories. It's not meant to be humorous every episode, plays out almost like soap-opera where it all feel very real. I'd definitely recommend someone into romance anime to watch this. It's nice to see an otaku protagonist being treated like a human being for once and not a walking gag-reel for cheap laughs. 8/10 Only flaws is there's a little too many slow mo shots and the characters are pretty stiff. No fancy animation here just raw emotion and great dialog. watched it Dubbed and enjoyed it very much.

well, for a quick review of this anime, id say i would recommend it to someone looking for a mild drama, romance anime. 3d kanojo is this anime where your mc is this otaku that get to know that nice looking girl. he got his best friend ito as that best pal that you wish the best for cause he so adorable. what made me want to write a review is more about the story. most anime ive seen seem to lack in character progression, yet i feel like this one have a nice linear progression from start to end(pretty subjectiv i guess). i wouldnt say this is my favorite but i really felt satisfied after watching it, witch is pretty rare to be honest. also, this has a close ending which doesnt let you enging on some cliffenger. that is a big plus for me. overall 8/10 story 7/10 art 7/10 music a good watch overall !

Highly recommend if your a weeb/otaku/nerd/geek. Lets keep this short. Remember this is my opinion of the show, and people has its own individuality thats keeps us unique form one another. Anyways, the anime has its flaws and its far from masterpiece (has a potential though with the plot) but it was great and a fun experience. An introverted otaku nerd guy whos been bullied with low self esteem got a pretty hot girlfriend yeah like it happens in reality. If your a weeb/otaku you can somewhat relate to this guy. Watching this is full of emotions a hell of train ride. The ending was great. I’ve only watch few anime with a real satisfactiory ending and this sits on my list high. From a lowly life otaku who’ve been bullied to a successful man living a great good life. Im glad I watched this series

Animations were a big issue for this series, and the pacing was very rushed. The selling point for me was actually just the story line, though I kinda wish we seen more... Overall I had to give it a seven because it was good, nothing more nothing less, sadly. If youre looking for a series to pass time that has a nice story line, but mediocre animations Id definitely recommend this, because I enjoyed it. I would recommend trying to watch it in one sitting though. It was actually disappointing to see that, Ayado and Ito didnt change at all in the seven years, she was still a trick, and he was still hopelessly following her.

"There will be times when you realize you won't regret that one choice you made" That's exactly what went with me for 3D Kanojo: Real Girl. I never really started with the original work in Manga form so I can't really say anything coming from the original work. But if you can see this review and the one I wrote on the first season or first 12 episodes, you will see me bashing down on both of them for bad execution of work. The first thing ever to hit your eyes would be art and animation. And boy, is it bad with this series? Just as with the first season, art style is generic, background and foreground barely fit, characters' animation and movements are as bad as ever, the pinkish tone is still there and even got worse during the wait. There is now even some kind of high lighting that makes most scenes hard to see. Then blurry outline frame in yellowish light and shoujo manga bubbles everywhere. Sound and frame matching is luckily or unluckily still that bad. But the voice acting is now, strangely enough, felt more realistic than I thought it was in first season. No. It's still not expressive, as ever. But it's realistic. Like what your conversation in real life would be like. So now it's a good point, you idiot of a reviewer? Make up your mind. And of course, I chose that it's actually good. Exactly because of that, every conversation starts to sound serious and important, despite the rush in execution of plot line. Every line in character speech feels like it has a better purpose than just being there. Of course, this doesn't quite apply to comedic cuts. Still not good enough to redeem for the bad on art though. This series only redemption is that its story and plot line was relatable. You might laugh at me later down in this review, but it sure is relatable. Now, with a second season, that story line, however mediocre it was, has new drops and tit bits that doesn't let you think back to your own experience. (FROM THIS POINT ON, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS AHEAD, YOU CAN SKIP ABOUT 2-3 PARAGRAPH TO SKIP THE SPOILERS). Pretty early on you see new thread of romantic relationships other than just that of protagonist and main heroine like with protagonist parents, his otaku friend, his best female friend (sounds sexist), his brother and at pretty late point in time, you see a by no mean to-mean-anything-marriage-relationship of a man without a face. If you have a family and you are the passive type of human, protagonist's parents and faceless man's should be your marriage in a way (says a guy with no experience in marriage at all). You didn't 2 didn't get married to each other for no reason after all, just talk it out and it might solve any kind of problem, as long as you are still sincere. The school life romantic threads are not much to say but their development makes you scream (or to be exact, made me scream) "Ah! Youth!". Though I never did experience a romantic school life, I can see the worries, the change of view in the world around, the change of thinking in each thread easily. That makes them, while not too good and might not be requited, still something precious. Then lastly, main line of thread, the 3D, the real girlfriend romantic thread with protagonist. If you care to pay enough attention, you might have picked up on the strange 6 months period of romance set at the start of the series. It's nothing new. But the depression of "she didn't dump me, that's the thing that stings the most" is just so real for something made for this series' typical length. It hurts, but it's exactly why you have to keep standing firm on your feet, start walking onward and wait. Wait for whatever might come, you forgetting, you deciding to stop being the kid who was in that pain anymore, or hopefully, something good... And something good happened, right at the time every other step was taken, and protagonist was almost giving up and decide to let it all be just parts of his past youth. Main heroine came back. And now, with both men who were never fighting for her let her choose without forcing themselves onto her to reach the final happy ending where friends are reunited, love ones are bound together. And then, they lived happily ever after. Isn't that just what you want to see? Isn't that just what you want to experience once in your life. It's beautiful. But it's beautiful exactly because it's not something will happen to you. In the end, I as a reviewer still can't win against the fact it was a beautiful mediocre story about love, romance and marriage. It still won't change the fact I was pretty satisfied with protagonist's decision to walk on, yet unable to move on though. That's the beautiful thing in romance. Once you get into it, you can never really get back out. 10/10 for enjoyment.

3D kanojo is as tropy as it can get, almost every character you see on screen is simply a copy of one that's been done a thousand times. The story isn't even that original as well and also falls into a miriad of tropes. But that being said, it's kind of the strong point of this show. It doesn't pretend to be something more than a masterclass in tropes, it's cute, it's innocent and it doesn't really challenge anything. At the end of the show I found myself happily smiling and saying: "oh my god this show is so cliché!" but the smile here is the key point, it's a show that can make you smile and that alone is worth your time. Don't go in expecting to see something great, but something that's quite all right, and that should be worth something at least.

*Short Non-Spoiler Review* A HUGE improvement from the first season. This anime series is definitely worth the watch thanks to the 2nd season. What you might like about this anime: - Sweet moments that'll make your heart doki doki - A good amount of drama to spice things up - Solid character development - Unique story arcs for each relationship - A conclusive ending What you might not like about this anime: - The female MC's brother - The annoying indecisiveness of high school students - The somewhat slow parts of the anime, which are few in number when compared to the first season, but still present In summary, if you're looking for a solid school romance anime with just the right amount of drama and fulfillment, then I would recommend watching 3D Kanojo. While the first season dropped the ball completely, the second season more than makes up for it.

The first season of Real Girl was straight mediocrity. The relationship had no chemistry which is central for a romance. The characters were annoyingly frustrating. The story was predictable. The animation was bland and simple. By all means this should not have gotten a 2nd season. Yet it did, and I watched it fully expecting more of the same. For the most part I was right, but I kept watching it to the point where I was actually looking forward to it week after week so what gives. The story continues for our main couple who still have as much chemistry as a lion and a sheep as they navigate through their relationship. More relationship drama is thrown in with our side characters getting in on the action. This in tune has an effect on our main couple who use these side developments to help grow theirs as well. Most romance anime have a threshold that never gets crossed. This could mean hand holding or kissing or simply confessing. 3D Kanojo Season 2 likes to go beyond those thresholds and I cannot be happier for it. Real Girl isn’t afraid to to show the progression and growths that come with a romantic relationship. These growths are prime for character development which was desperately missing from the first season. Every character’s ending is wrapped up nicely without any loose ends which makes that story feel complete. Some events and revelations are predictable which is a bummer but oh well. Animation is much of the same if maybe with some slight improvements. The sound however is something I must address. The opening song is pretty plain and not memorable in any way as I usually forget it three minutes into the episode, but the ending song is something special. It has this feeling of sadness yet also some hope. In a way it’s very telling for this kind of story which just makes it all the more sad yet beautiful. In the end, I’m happy I stuck with this show and gave it a second chance. For those that watched the first season and were not impressed, try giving the second season a chance. It might surprise you.

The story is honestly so unique, and even though I don’t really write reviews, I feel like I had to say something. I really hate how some people call this romance anime trash because that’s just not true. This anime seriously messes with your feelings in the best way. The last three episodes had me feeling everything tears, happiness, excitement, all of it. The ending was perfect, no complaints. The animation looks amazing, the voice acting fits so well, and every episode keeps you emotionally invested. Having three couples in one romance makes it even better. For people hating or spreading misinformation, just stop. This anime is easily a 9.5/10.

Story: 7/10 Characters: 8/10 Animation: 6/10 Music:7/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Overall: 7/10 (For the entirety of anime) 8/10 (for second season) 6/10 (for first season) This in a way touched me. It had realistic elements you would see in a real life lover relationship. First and foremost, let me just say this. Season 2 is way better than season 1. In Season one I was a bit burnt out. Characters pissed me off, animation was absolute shit. I was about to drop it if it wasn't for the comment section saying it get better. So being the pushover that I am I watched the entirety of the series. And God I have been satisfied like this in a long time. Season two gave phenomenal character development for all the characters, improved relationships in a realistic way, and hit me in the feels hard, only to give me the most satisfying ending I could get in a romance anime. Animation was better than season 2 but was still bad. This anime did get me somewhat exhausted, it did get me conflicted and frustrated with characters, but overall it showed impact and almost had me crying a few episodes at its finale. An anime that get me in the feels is to me quite impressive. Overall I enjoyed this anime.

... This is the very first review ive done in my time here in MAL Season 1 was a complete ( not entirely) trainwreck or so to say. But damn, Season 2 brought a lot of improvements... the anime as a whole was enjoyable. We get to see our characters doing their things. I actually liked Tsutsui and Iroha’s relationship... they get to harden of their relationship in a timespan of 6 months. There are some funny parts and some sweet moments here and there, and those things made me enjoy Season 2. I like the background design, but it tends to give me light headaches agh. All in all, its not a bad anime! ~ man, This is the first and worst review I have written ~

Phew, I managed to finished until second season and I'm glad I did it. Second season bring the most out of 3D Kanojo, the drama and conflict become more substantial and impactful, the character getting more matured, the animation become more consistent. I am glad they fixed how the story gives you conflict, it is more rewarding (and less upsetting) and I liked it, didn't expected I am gonna teared up watching this anime. The characters become more fleshed (the jerkness of some characters kinda go away), mature, and you just kind of respect them more. I am amazed how they become more careful handling the characters development in this season. The animation is still wonky at a times, but become more consistent and better. I think this is a proper finale and overall improvement compared to previous season in every aspect, the ending is clear you don't need to worry about anything despite I am wanted to see more moment from Tsutsui-Igarashi in the last episode, but a happy ending really. A solid 7 from me, definitely a good watch (if you can ignore a lots of thing from previous season and finish it until the second season ofc).

This anime made me cry and gave me hope. The first season of this show is based around the budding of the relationship of if TsunTsun and Iroha. The story, while pretty straightforward is just two people knowing the quirks of each other. This continues into season 2 but the bulk of the work gets done in S01. S02 revolves around the other friends a but I think that is exceedingly fair. It would be boring to watch something that is based around just a few characters all the time. Especially the supporting characters become much more involved [Gotta love Ishino, she is the best support character that I have seen in a long while. She definitely won my heart.] The main takeaway from S02 is that no-matter who you are, love with all of your heart and you will never be disappointed. I personally think that this is one of those very Romance anime that, while following a generic plot, manages to excel with story telling and doesn't really leave us in an uncertain loop of cliffhangers. Personally I can relate to the MC, so that makes it all the more special to me.

Well in the second season they got it much better, characters progressed well, all except the MC but I guess that's what they were aiming for and yes it gets tedious. But the good a better sound track, artwork and story is much more fulfilling this time around. I cared more about the characters this time around. Since they got a second season their budget must have gone up too. If you dropped this mid first season or dropped it after the first season the second is worth a watch they do much better. The drama is here too so get out your hankies. xD

Well, it might be a bit too late for review, however, I prefer towatch anime series in one go, so forgive me on that. Note that I'm a guy so there might be some gender bias in this matter. This anime is unbelievably get me hooked, considered something a bit in Shoujo style rarely get me interested. The story itself is quite robust and intense, with some irritating turns of event as spices. (Which I find it very irritating, annoying but captivating at the same time.) The romance itself is very strong. The MCs are quite robust designed in their characters. However, MCs' friends are not made to be that robust, maybe because it can rival to MCs. However, I think it'd be better if MCs' friends were to be made as robust as it can go or else they're not look like equal human to me. Nonetheless, Characters design is quite good. So I give 9/10 on this. For art, I was so surprised that shoujo style 'kira kira' didn't creep me out like it normally did. I think it was due to the robustness of the story. Charactors are well drawn. One thing I find so irritating was characters' skinship, like leaning on each other, hugging or even kissing are in no way realistic. Too much space between them like they are some hard stick hugging each other. Come on, consider the intense romance and pain, who the hell gonna hug like that, no way. I can only give 8/10 on this For sound, I kind of disregard the OSTs coz I don't really care about it and I also don't like it. Voice acting was good. I kind of really like FMC voice. So in this regard I gave it 9/10. Enjoyment, I really enjoyed watching this anime, to my own surprise. Insentity of the story and romance got me hooked. But as mention earlier, other couples other than MCs are not that intense and make them looked like more of the sidekick and less as human being. So I give 9/10 in this. Overall, I gave 9 for this serie!

Wrote a bit of a scathing rebuke on the haters for the first cour, but honestly as a whole, this show really delivered exactly what I wanted from it. Sure, the story was a bit predictable for the main couple, but it really worked for me. At the same time, the focus on the other couples did a great job of adding a lot of interest to the story outside of the main pair. Idk, anything that can get me to tear up for multiple episodes in a row gets at least an 8 for me. As long as the ending isn't ruined, that score will normally hold, and this show absolutely delivered with the ending.

The second season got more 'normal' and I suspect that more people can relate to the characters in the second season as they progress towards 'normality'. One thing I found badly done was the premise of the story and the ending. It was lame and felt rushed. But I wonder if a certain subsequent novel that became an anime was inspired by this series. Wish they had made the last episode into another season though. It's a fascinating theme to explore. One serious problem I had was with the character of Igarashi Chika. I'm met people like that and while they seem normal, they're actually monsters inside. Too many cases of family ignoring such boys and the various types of abuse they cause within families.

I watched the first season of 3D Kanojo: Real Girl and I was left very unimpressed. I'd heard really good things about the second season and after watching it, decided I wanted to think about it before reviewing it. My short takeaway: What an improvement. I'll assume you've seen the first season for the purposes of this review. Story & Characters: We continue our story of our odd couples as they tackle real issues in high school, while also balancing their relationships. Hikari and Iroha are obviously our main couple, but we also get to see how the interactions between other characters turn out. Itou and Ayado have different feelings to work through while Ishino, to varying levels of success, attempts to get in the eyes of the stern Takanashi. We also get to see some time devoted to Hikari's brother, Kaoru, and Takanashi's sister, Anzu. The first half of the series mainly focuses on our side characters and how they try and tackle their relationships - all of which are awkward, at least to some extent. The second half takes a bit of a turn, as it drives by differing emotions between our characters, and gives the series quite of a different feel from both the first season, and first bunch of episodes from this one. I was not expecting such a sudden tone change to end off the series. Speaking of different, this is a complete 180 for our main man, Hikari. They completely reverse his character to be way more understanding, and less like an obnoxious teenager. This is easily the part that makes this season so much better than its prequel. You understand where he's coming from and even though he still attempts to tackle issues on his own, he does it in a way that doesn't come off as boneheaded. Iroha might've gone through the least change from season to season, but her storyline turns a little bleak when faced with some very difficult decisions. All four of Hikari's classmates also develop nicely. You still see some shakiness that makes them, them, which makes it feel like their character is left intact from the previous season. Ayado is still nervous around her crush, Takanashi is still overprotective of his sister, and Ishino is still that aggressive voice. Kaoru and Anzu have some fantastic moments as well, and even though they didn't have the storytelling behind them that our other characters did, I really liked how the series portrayed them together. There was a segment dedicated to Hikari's parents as well. The way it was told seemed rushed to me though, even though it had some decent moments, but since it linked back to Hikari, I didn't mind it. I'm really not sure what happened in the first season to make the story feel so insignificant, but stories told in this season were so much more impactful and realistic. One thing I noticed is that Hikari's love for anime and games was barely evident in this season. Before, there were so many jabs taken by both him and Itou, but here, that's almost non-existent. Maybe the downside to that is that your romantic story is a tad more cookie cutter, but it does mean that all the terrible jokes made because of their personality, are pretty much gone. There's no questioning if the story got significant better - it did. Some audiences won't love that Hikari and Iroha were basically side characters in the first half of the season, but when you have solid supporting cast stories, it's definitely worth it. You always save the best for last. We saw this is Horimiya, and it makes for a great parallel. However, the second half really does focus on not only them, but the grander picture. I actually really love how they ended the series off, even if it does have moments where you question some of the things that happened to our characters between certain scenes. (Story 8/10, Characters: 8/10) Art: You really have to hand it to Hoods Entertainment - they really stepped up the animation. It's far from the perfect quality, but at least now, it's watchable. The first season had some horrible animation moments, but that's basically all gone now. Part of me wishes the final scene's shot was from a different angle, but hey, we can't all be perfect. (7/10) Sound: Even though this series made major strides with it's other categories, sadly, sound doesn't seem to have gone through noticeable improvement. The OP and ED are both meh, the OST is still fine, and the VOs don't feel like they fit a lot of the time. Natalie Rial (Ayado) is an up-and-comer, but this probably isn't her finest work, while Adam Gibbs (Takanashi) has been around forever, and I didn't love his work here either. Nathan Wilson (Hikari) still seemed fine, but the cast mostly feels like an awkward fit for this series. (5/10) Overall Enjoyment: 3D Kanojo: Real Girl 2nd Season puts up, possibly, the biggest improvement season to season that I've ever seen. The stories feel way more impactful, our characters don't feel obnoxious all the time and the animation saw big improvements. If you slogged through the first season, and are hesitant to watch another, but like romance anime, I believe this should be on your watch list. (8/10)

Everybody deserves to be loved, even when they don't think they do. Honestly the protagonist of this series could be really annoyingly dense at times. He apparently takes after his father in that regard. Both of them are obsessed with the idea that there's no way they could deserve the love they receive from their respective partners. Characters coming to terms with those strong emotions is at the core of this show, and seeing them slowly transform from not being to accept those feelings to the happy ending we get is so heartwarming it's almost sickeningly sweet. I'm supposed to be a jaded cynic and this show had me balled up in tears over the sappy ending. The message of the show is clear, true happiness is found in the bonds we make with other people and everyone deserves to feel that. No matter the difficulties we face love will be able to overcome it, such a simple and human message that comes across so clearly through the whole show. I loved this season more than the first and loved seeing some actual lasting character growth replace the constant back and forth. I'm a little disappointed nekomimi-senpai wasn't able to get the happy ending with his high school crush, but they left it open ended enough to imply it might happen somewhere down the line. I think it's funny how these romance-centric shows always have to have at least 2 other side couples to complement the main one. It plays on are natural inclinations to want to ship characters together and make sure that everyone has someone to fall in love with. 9//10 I cried

Gotta say it was quite the ride. On the first season it was very hard to watch as the plot keeps going haywire, some part of it were great and the other not so, even reach a horrible state that force me to put the show on hold for a few months. S2 on the other hand was beautifully done. The plot progress fixed a lot of messed up from s1 and cleared some trouble in the three main couple. We got a more serious plot progression where as they highlight more of the main story conflict making the show more fun to watch. Overall I'd say watching 3d Kanojo is worth it, although season 1 might come as hard to watch, once you went thru season 1, season 2 is gonna be like the reward waiting on the end of this ride.
