An added half-season 2.5 in one long episode for Konosuba. The same thing but with even more explosions. If you liked the anime watch it. If you think it was meh, watch it for Megumin (best girl). Animation is the same but because there is a lot of "superior magic" instead of standard combat, it was far above your average episode. The jokes are on par with the rest, but I think it was funnier here. I like how they developed more the Destroyer's creator and Megumin, but the rest of the team isn't developed at all. They still have a problem with character development : I think Megumin was developed more in 1h30 than Kazuma in 2 seasons. In the second half, it becomes far too epic compared to the rest of the anime, but the comedy aspect is reduced a lot. However, it's still a parody of a real epic anime, and it is funny.

"THIS...IS MY POPULAR PHASE~!!!" - Kazuma KonoSuba and the gang are back with all the comedic karmic hijnks and this time they get a message from the Crimson Demon Village that the Demon Generals are wrecking havoc in their village and needs Kazuma's gang's help or to be more or precise Megumin...Yunyun tags along as well. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!: Kurenai Densetsu pretty much focuses on Megumin as a focal character of the movie, something that the previous seasons more or less glossed over (or was looking at other members Kazuma's party at that time)...Yunyun gets some screentime and slight development too. For the most part we do learn more or less Megumin's backstory and how her personality became what it is "of sorts" as well as the Crimson Demon village themselves as they are as much of an extension of Megumin is to this movie and her development to be the "best mage" and everything. Yunyun gets her limelight too. Now Aqua and Darkness do get their due with their "quirks" but besides Megumin and Yunyun, Kazuma more or less gets more of his karmic luck or in this case, his "popular phase" with the girls to come into effect to drive the plot forward especially when it concerns the major villain of the movie Sylvia the newest general that's "wrecking havoc" on the village. Sylvia much like the previous generals before her have the same affliction, in making you actually sympathize with them to a certain degree, just this time thanks to the crazy chunni batshit explosive insanity of the Crimson Demons villagers or Kazuma's party coming to wreck ALL her plans. Sylvia also cares about her army and wants to "continue on living" whilst wanting to destroy the Crimson Demon Village for humiliating her time and again. In a ways LA can see Sylvia as the culmination of Kazuma's party antics they've unleashed in the previous 2 seasons and all the consequences it would impact a "villain" all bundled together, somewhat embodying KonoSuba's and by extension Kazuma's karmic luck all in one, thus why LA can sympathize her as much as she's a villain AND at the same time root for the Kazuma's party to win at the same time. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!: Kurenai Densetsu did a GREAT job in giving this kind of dynamic nature towards the protagonist's actions and the antagonists' motives together with this movie. Though LA found that LA found some plot beats being VERY similar to the first season's final episodes, if anything Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!: Kurenai Densetsu only upped it to the point LA was expecting a territory-obliterating EXPLOSION and man Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!: Kurenai Densetsu's finale DELIVERED TWOFOLD with that finale and one hell of a batshit insane but rather logical plan from Kazuma (once again). The animation done this time by JC Staff....doesn't change anything as it seems that the same animators for the anime series were tasked with the animation again and ohh boy did they pull out all the stops for this movie in spades. The animation if anything keeps the aesthetic of the anime series to a T but when the animation needed to be amazing especially with the comical reactions from the core cast and the EXXXXXPLOSIONS, they delivered. The animation studio surely changed but it's STILL KONOSUBA right down to it's animators. The voice cast is back and does LA REALLY need to say how great this voice cast is especially from Jun Fukushima as the ad-libbing Kazuma to Rie Takahashi as Megumin...and Aki Toyosaki as Yunyun. BUT LA will also give props to Akeno Watanabe by essentially giving a hammy performance as Sylvia and to how batshit insane she can REALLY act and Syvlia was the vessel for this and man did she deliver. Of course Sora Amamiya and Ai Kayano did great as aqua and Darkness respectively and most of the Crimson Demon villagers pretty much exuded Rie Takahashi's Megumin cadence (which was expected). Brilliant voice cast expected from KonoSuba. The ONLY thing Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!: Kurenai Densetsu did as even as a nitpick was that there was a small bit of time where Kazuma and the gang essentially fluffed around but oddly enough that's what you call "buildup" and giving us a "breather" before the batshit insanity of that finale came into play to the point of you saying "that escalated quickly". Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!: Kurenai Densetsu may be a longform vers. of a full arc of one KonoSuba anime series turned into a movie, but MAN did it exceed LA's expectations and just more or less topped itself as to how batshit insane and comedic it can take itself with it's karmic luck on both Kazuma and Sylvia and by topped LA MEANS TOPPED ITSELF for setting up, building up and baying off almost everything it did and went off to an explos- *cough* went off like neutron bomb of a finale. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!: Kurenai Densetsu WAS Megumin's.......and Yunyun's movie and made LA grow to like Megumin even more with this movie!...and Yunyun. Megumin is Best Mage..and Best Girl of KonoSuba~!

So, this is my first review, also i don't speak english (I'm from Mexico, so hablo puro español), so if my english is bad sorry. So, the movie was AMAZING. But first i suppose we have to talk about everything. The story was....ok? Simple, but what do you want? The plot is simple, is just kazuma and the others having more adventures, it was ok, nothing relevant. Now, the art was BEAUTIFUL, and it looks like not everyone loved the animation, but in my opinion it was amazing, i mean, it was maybe in the level of the series but, upgraded a little, maybe it's not Kimi no na wa, but loved the art and the details. The characters are still the same, amazing like in the series, everyone are still the characters that we love and the new villain Sylvia, maybe it isn't the best villain but, it's so entertaining. I enjoy this movie a lot, i laughed like never before and maybe i'm not being the most objective, but i can guarantee that your going to enjoy a lot, i mean, my dad watched the movie with me and he was also laughting, all the people in the cinema was laughting and i just can say that, i enjoyed a lot this movie and i just can put a... 10/10

Konosuba - The Movie Konosuba had always piqued my curiosity after hearing so much about the show. And I was never sure what to think of it. After my own acquired experience, I cannot support the hype surrounding this comedy. It was slightly above average, but couldn't convince enough. What I can't deny, however, is the fact that the series was well balanced and ended up with a rather subtle film. In fact, I'm almost as proud as a father whose child has finally learned to walk. At least the feeling should be close. With this film, KonoSuba actually got the best of the best out of itself. Since this is probably the last we'll ever see of the show, it's at least a good thing that it made a more positive end. In the area of the plot, as expected, nothing has changed, but this is not necessary for a comedy either. However, they have at least provided some explanations and stories for this world. The animations have undoubtedly increased rapidly. The still spongy drawing style really catches your eyes, in contrast to the backgrounds and dynamic explosions. Somehow it makes it all the more bizarre. This film also has a rather subtle structure for some gags. For the most part, hardly anything happens here and the jokes are limited. For this purpose, the scenes in between were designed a little more, so it didn't feel like torture. As expected, the characters are still the same bang-bang and that's a good thing. The series can only live as long as the characters stay the same assholes and make each other's life hell. And so be it, I will certainly not forget my Memories about this Anime. But I will not be able to keep them completely remarkable either. Nonetheless, it is definitely recommended for fans of the "comedy" genre who also accept dirty humor.

The essence of the story is more about the origins of Megumin and her friends and family. As usual Konosuba always provides funny and perverted comedy that's what I like. Actually, I don't really expect much with the movie because it must be similar to the series too. The advantages in this movie are that it shows more magical power and good animation when fighting, the rest is the same, even less jokes and fan services. Perverted Darkness is also less in this movie, I hope she is more perverted because it's so funny to see her. Aqua is also nerfed here, unlike in the series where she is always the main star in battle. So this movie actually made Megumin the main star and brought their victory. Hopefully there is a continuation of season 3 that is waiting for, because I want to see the perverted darkness and the perverted Kasuma too.

Let's try this again. You want a genuine review? Here's my genuine review: Aqua's socks at the end 10/10 There. That's it. That's all I have to say about this degenerate movie. The rest of it was OK. Now usually this is where I would like to end the review. However, MyAnimeList has a minimum word count for the reviews, so here's where I would include the lyrics to Forever by Chris Brown. Oh wait, apparently, I can't do that. What did he want me to include? Content, style, and personal enjoyment? Let's see, the story and characters were pretty standard for the series. Another quest where the heroes mess up and have to fix it. Very little character development. Kazuma is kind of a pedo. Very creepy. As always, the art was pretty good (especially the curves). The sound was good too, although I would have preferred the movie to be in English because I am American. My personal enjoyment was very high. I definitely recommend watching this with friends. I also really enjoyed the demon-woman thing until [SPOILERS] I found out it was a dude. Total boner killer. I guess it explains why Kazuma's stand was rainbow-colored. That should all hopefully be enough for the word count. One, two, three, four. Hey, hey, forever. Hey, hey, forever. It's you, and me. Movin' at the speed of light into eternity, yeah.

Few days ago i finished watching Konosuba Movie. So i wanted to share the experience with you guys. But thought i should ready script or wanna make the review orderly. after days of thinking i understand i never was good at review let's write whatever i want to. After watching both season and lough so hardly i was excited for the movie. And the movie experience was more better than i thought. Basically it's 1.5 hour version of the series. But more hilarious in my opinion. The plot was simple about visiting yunyun and Megumin's village and fight a devil king's general. Though who watch konosuba for plot right. About yunyun and Megumin both got bit more screen time and fan services. I heard lot about the bad animation, and yes the animation was never steady but bruh they deliver what you wanted. The animation never lack the overall movie. So i recommend you to watch the movie if you haven't watched it yet. Plenty of sarcasm waiting for you.

First off, I won't waste your time if you've already seen the past two seasons; If you've enjoyed the past two seasons, watch this. With that out of the way, I found the comedy in this movie to surpass the past seasons with some scenes. There are quite a few jokes that fall flat, and some scenes that may drag on, but the scenes that hit, will HIT. And for a nice change of pace, we get a hint of some romance finally, and I'll say it was pretty darn satisfying. Kazuma is as deplorable as always, so if that is something you have trouble with, I dunno what to tell you. Big recommend, watch this one with friends for your best experience.

in my opinion Konosuba the Movie is satisfying... A video game-loving shut-in, Satou Kazuma's life should've ended when he was hit by a truck, but through a twist of fate, he ends up reincarnating in another world--and dragging the troublemaking goddess, Aqua, the wildly dorky mage, Megumin, and the unrelentingly delusional lady knight, Darkness, with him. Now, the Crimson Demon village that Megumin and Yunyun are from is facing a threat that could mean it's ending. Kazuma and his gang follow Yunyun, who returns to the Crimson Demon village intent on saving it... when they are faced with their greatest threat yet! What will become of the unremarkable adventurer Kazuma's life in another world?!

Ok this is my first review i usually keep my opinions to my self or with friends. But i'm a huge fan of Konosuba and this movie was fantastic. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life it was pure comedy gold, the jokes were perfect and never missed. Some people are saying the animation was lacking in some areas and i do agree, but it doesn't bother me at all everything about the movie was amazing. The characters were done so well and the progression made with already established characters was so well done. Overall i think this movie was amazing and its probably my favourite comedy ever. I had to take a break around 40 minutes in so i could remember how to breath and i highly recommend it 10/10. Sorry if my review wasn't in depth or well constructed this my first review.

First off, great movie and added some back story for Megumin and the Crimson Demon clan. I'd watch over again if it wasn't for the current quarantine. Secondly, there were criticism regarding the animation. I think some here are mistaking the difference between animation and illustration. Illustration wise I'd normally agreed it would look lazy and rushed, but the difference here is they sacrifice illustration for animation to flesh out the humor. The characters sometime goes into this simplified detail in order to convey humor through body, facial movement animation. There were gorgeous illustration of the characters during fights but the ones that were memorable to me are the silly, exaggerated movement of the characters. But this is easily missed because how well the story and humor is written. I also love the voice actor performance as they all seem to go all out and enjoy themselves. At least to me, it sounded like they were having fun and trying their best to bring out the humor of each characters degeneracy. Not to mention the soundtrack and sound effect is used well and not overtaking the scene. Overall it exceeded my expectation and I fear it may be over looked due to the current situation. If you watched season 2 of konosuba, this is essentially a movie format of it. The story doesn't effect the main series overall but sure as hell as funny if not more than its predecessor!

Legend of Crimson is clearly aimed at Konosuba fans, particularly those who ha've read the light novels and can catch all the winks the movie throws them. Anyway, whether or not you you've read the LNs, you already know what to expect from this movie: perfect characters chemistry, hilarious voice acting, a great soundtrack and many Explosions. Rest assured, you'll get them all. They, remarkably, decided to add some twists to the original plot, managing to make it something more than a 90 minutes long Konosuba episode and increasing the enjoyment even for those who already know the story. The animation is in line with the series: not exceptional but still fluid for most of the time; hovewer, when it needs to, it really shows how a movie budget can be spent to create incredibly marvellous sequences. Funny, light-hearted, adorably dumb and as entertaining as it can be, Legend of Crimson is a must-see for fans of the series.

I honestly have waited too long to see this movie. Despite everything, it must be emphasized that the title of it has not deceived us like some others, also that the main problem was the supposed disappearance of the crimson demon clan. (It is difficult for me to write in English because I am a Spanish speaker, but I will do it in the same way so that you can understand my review) Continuing, the film still maintains the essence of what KonoSuba is, Kazuma's perversion, Aqua's stupidity, Darkness's masochism, Yunyun's loneliness, but, Megumin's participation has been more highlighted. It is obvious that they have given us several scenes of fanservice where we imagined something between Kazuma and Megumin, which will never happen. Even so, the film maintains the main characteristics of the characters, they did not forget the anime, the manga or the light novel. It was also considered to reveal something of Megumin's past, such as her origin and her past before meeting Kazuma, the same with Yunyun. Anyway, there were bad things in the movie, like other reviews, this movie was only a long episode, such is the case of Yuru Yuri or Re: Zero, although clearly in those anime he mentions that they are long episodes, KonoSuba He did not do it, but, to all this, we must congratulate the voice actors who, just by listening to them, you can see that they put effort into creating this, I know that this premiered in 2019, but, as already He had mentioned, I am not a Japanese. It's amazing how they could combine adventure and comedy, obviously, Konosuba is a parody of the typical Isekai anime. KonoSuba takes it to another level and shows that the parodies are interesting and it is not only laughing according to the scenes, I would like to mention more but I do not want to give spoilers to those who have not seen the movie. From my point of view, I loved the movie but it was only a long episode, it did not break my expectations but it left me with the intrigue of that open ending, it does not matter, we can read the novel or the manga and discover what happened. Explosion!

I actually saw KONOSUBA: Legend of Crimson in theaters the day it came and decided to rewatch it as soon as it came out on Crunchyroll (which I had been anticipating for a while), and I have a few things to say after rewatching it. First, the art and animation are both so amazing. I knew that the first time I watched it, but watching it a second time really just blew me away. Each scene, background, and even the facial expressions look like they were made with so much care. JC Staff really outdid themselves with this one. I can't forget to mention the voice acting. As always, the voice actors do a phenomenal job voicing their characters, especially Jun Fukushima as Kazuma. And we can't forget Rie Takahashi as Megumin! Her explosions were amazing, she is so talented and really brings Megumin to life whether it be her retorts or her explosion magic. The story is actually very good for a comedy isekai with no real storyline. They took the time to introduce some side characters who we only see a handful of times, but who are still unforgettable. I never write reviews, but I just had to express how much I am in love with this series as a whole. The world, the characters, everything, I am just in love. Well, that's all I have to say until my next rewatch! EXTRA: here's what I wrote as soon as I saw the movie in theaters. Absolutely the funniest anime I have seen in my life. I’m so happy I was lucky enough to see it in theaters, everyone was laughing and it was so enjoyable. It just reinforces that it is my favorite series of all time. This was written on 11/12/19 after I saw the movie in the theaters.

Watched it in a local Indonesian cinema with both English and Indonesian subtitles. I noticed there are slight differences between the subtitles but not as much that would degrade the viewing experience. The movie is essentially few Konosuba episodes compiled into a 90 minute movie. The animation itself is mostly the same compared with the TV show even when the studio that worked on it is different. The movie itself is a full nonstop laughter, the whole studio is basically laughing from the start till the end. The comedic timing of the movie is very good and it actually makes the storyline goes forward, quite different compared to some series and movies nowadays that actually makes the story stopped for the joke. All in all, its a very wonderful experience to watch Konosuba in the cinemas and its probably the hardest laughter I got from watching any movie.

Overall 9.0/10: Best laugh ever in movie, so good that I cry at the end. This is movie is 3rd installment of KonoSuba, direct sequel to second season therefore you should see both seasons first to understand every characters and jokes. But actually, if you watch only 1st season you will get almost 90% of jokes and minor spoiler didn’t matter that much. . [Funny as ever + tight pacing = I became maniac 1.5 hr straight] -Starting with character being themselves jokes, it’s like “Yeah we are doing KonoSuba now” -Go straight to main plot quick, they were going to visit Koma village, Megumin(Best girl)’s hometown and everyone there are all Crimson Demon, crazily powerful and Chuunibyou. -Jokes escalated from one to next and next. There some repeated jokes and not funny sometime, which is normal, but they give another one quick don’t let you have any down time. -Voice acting was good as ever -My main complaint with jokes is there are too much rape and sex jokes which I didn’t mind them individually but do it like every 10-20 min kinda too much (Contexts are different, so it didn’t repetitive and I laugh every time anyway) . [Smooth animation, faces are fluid as ever] -When I heard that JC.staff doing this movie instead of Deen, I thought design might change. In reality, not at all since director was the same. Plus with more fluid and smooth animation. -If you don’t like how faces were drawn in TV series, you won’t like them in this movie too. -99% of budget for EXPLOSIONNNNNNNNN, yeah fight scene in this movie is best of KonoSuba. Super hype than ending of both seasons. [“Be true to yourself”, not only laugh but also heart] -Ending of 2nd season was somewhat Aqua arc. This movie is full brown Megumin arc. We got more back story on Megumin and Yunyun and their relationship in the past. -Real appeal of KonoSuba girl is they were so shitty that they can’t be more to themselves that this. -At climax, there was drama about Megumin feel guilty for being selfish for improve explosion magic rather than other magic that help others she cares. Although resolution was pretty obvious, but I cry anyway. That how much these characters meaningful despite being shitty and stupid. . [Who should watch this?] -Anyone who like KonoSuba. This is KonoSuba in it’s best form. That’s it. -For anyone who read to this point without knowledge of KonoSuba, it’s best isekai comedy, RPG game parody with stupid broken party and main hero how also asshole but love gender equality, true man. Just keep it a shot.

tl;dr: 120/120 points <3 <3 ~ simply season 3 (first half) of konosuba with the same spirit as season 1 and 2. - this movie already deserves at least 8 point because it's part of the mainstory, so i'm pretty much rating konosuba season 3 first half in here, while most anime movies are just prolonged filler episodes with a very high budget. and that's why you get, they continued the spirit of season 1 and 2 and gave as the goofy moments we love, the goosebumpy explosions and the comedic plot twists. there were two scenes which went a bit too far, especially considering that you're watching it in public in a cinema on a big screen.. since my review ends here you can stop reading if you don't want to read which scenes i'm talking about, there are no big spoilers in any means but still: (1. orcs in konosuba are all female it seems, and they love to rape men, watching kazuma getting almost completely naked is a weird scene for a cinema movie and 2. kazuma being locked with megumin in a room and him considering touching ( or even raping?...) while she's asleep.. yeah that's a bit too much, considering everything, no clue how this scene was actually in the movie)

The movie of Konosuba was such a fun time, but that doesn't mean it comes without its downsides. For example, Kazuma is almost raped by a bunch of Orc women, and not only does it feel in very poor taste, but it is extremely hard to watch due to how they try to pass it off as a humorous joke. That's the only real bad thing I have to say regarding the movie, but I still have gripes with it. Like small moments of characters not acting like themselves (Darkness who's afraid that the Demon Army has shown up). But the majority of the movie was very enjoyable. The humor revolving around the stupidity but overpowered nature of the Crimson Demons was well done, even further reinforced when we learn about their origin. This movie just about solely focuses on Megumin, Yunyun, and Kazuma. Aqua and Darkness both take a backseat for the movie which I don't exactly have any issue in. As long as the characters with the focus are allowed to grow as characters which they do. Yunyun gets her time to shine alongside Megumin which has been the whole joke revolving around her in the second season. The music and animation also reach a level above the show and even shows off a very well thought-out hype final battle. This movie raised the stakes of the show, progressed characters, showed off more of the world, and delivered the best hype the show has had thus far.

TL;DR : If you have seen the anime itself, then I would recommend this as this would give you alot of enjoyment. If you havent seen it, I will recommend this after watching the anime, though if you dont, you will still get around 70-80% of the enjoyment. Story : The story is established on the previous. plot of the anime, that is that kazuma, our mc, has to defeat the demon lord. So it once again pursues the plot and if you have watched the anime like my self, you would think that it comes around 8-10, though if you still love it without knowing the plot, you might rate it around 6-8. Thats why I gave it an 8 to balance it out a little. Art : There is not much art which might appear to your eye in the first 40-50 min. Though the last 30 min are just full of crazy art. I appreciate it cuz they drew it by hand and some touches through PS it seems. That does not dismiss the hardwork they put into the art. That is why I gave this a solid 10. Its very eye catchy and very pleasing to the eye as well. Sound : The sound imo is just great. There is nowhere they cut shortcuts, rather there is just many areas to appreciate it. The wind, explosion, magic, subtle bg sounds and simple sounds such as walking, skirting of wheels which really show their investment. I didnt enjoy the novel as much as I enjoyed this movie. Character : some development is found with many new ones getting created. With a wacko found and megumen's secret of power(?). As a person who watched S1 and S2, I loved it. Though I didnt like some parts but thats just me nitpicking cuz im an avid lover of romance genre. The character tops with a 10, though to appear more realistic I gave it a 9 Enjoyment : I LOVED IT. The amount of work they put into this is something I would like to appreciate. Even though I didnt like some parts of it, it was amazing. Immersion can be a serious issue as I was not immersed when I first watched it, had like very little fun. The 2nd time, it was absolutely a blast.

This review has all the points of the entire series including Season 1 , Season 2 , Ovas and ofcourse the Movie Oh man too bad MyAnimeList does not have have ratings for Enjoyment above 10 points because i would give this masterpiece of a show above 100 points. I mean if a thing or word like Anti-cliche existed then it would be called Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Correction !!! This is not Anti-cliche ..This is Anti Anti-cliche because everything becomes soo unexpected after one minute of each episode (I have already watched all the previous seasons and ovas and this review is about all of them. I was going into this show to find gold and came back with not diamonds but something far more precious thing that a diamond could never reach. I don't know why but after a few episodes my mouth actually stared to hurt and i wondered why.. it was because i laughed my frickin mouth off every 20 seconds in this series. I read some reviews saying that this series has no story or it is plotless. You guys are DEAD WRONG. Not every anime has to follow the same plot of getting isekaid by truck-kun and meet some girls and have harem or romance. This is in fact a masterpiece of a show that many people drop after 2 episodes saying it has no plot or making up some lame excuses. Believe me whenever you start watching this you will have a dumb smile on your face every single time whether you admit it or not ... Yeah now the characters are simply the best.. We got our main character kazuma who is not at all like the other isekei protagonist and he has some real frickin sense Then we got Aqua the goddess which people may say who is completely useless but in reality is actually completely useless ( Just kidding guys she is completely useless ) usefull on rare occasions lmaoo Then we got the star of the show ( for me ) which is darkness who may seem horny and craving for s*x but is actually a masochist.. Yeah she is masochist not horny you guys. She gets pretty embarrassed if having to fu*k a guy. ( don't get the wrong idea she is actually pretty strong and awesome and makes all kinds of noises while getting hit on purpose because she is a masochist if you know what i mean ) Then we got a girl who may seem like a loli but is actually 17 years ol i think who just lives to do one thing in her life.....EExxxxplllloooooosssssioooonnnn Yeah the characters are pretty awesome Now for the animation it definitely deserves 10/10.. Every fine details are beautifully animated and you will never get bored seeing this Overall 11/10 because it deserves that rating. Alright guys that is it for my review until then....Exxxpllloooosssssiiiiiiionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
