NGL, by far the worst anime I have ever watched. I honestly hate the creators for stealing 4 1/2 hours of my life from me which could have been used to do literally ANYTHING but this garbage.90% of the show foreshadows an OP protagonist powerup/moment, but when it actually happens, he gets to the scene too late and doesn't achieve anything. If he hadn't arrived, the outcome would still have been everyone dying. This is what pissed me off the most. Either you let the good guys win but die, or you let the good guys win and live happily ever after, or you let the bad guys win and the good guys die. What you DON'T do is make EVERYBODY lose, so that it's absolutely pointless from start to finish. And I thought the jewel was supposed to be sentient. If so, it should have just told Iris to wait 5 minutes because the guy was coming to save the day, instead of going "suicide, uh-duh... yay". Fuckin pissed me off.

First off let me say the Synopsis does not reflect the current 'Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle", but likely refers to one of their other works or planned works. I also don't feel quite as harshly about this show as others have, I do agree that last 2 episodes felt like they phoned it in and didn't try but it could simply be a weak set up for their next 'step' if there is one. This is not a show that pushing the limits, it's not trying to do anything ground breaking and will likely never be anything more then a 'decent' watch at best. It follows a fairly generic trope as most anime do and it does so fairly well, I can only imagine the other reviewers expect every show they watch to cause an epiphany or be some groundbreaking masterpiece. It's a fun and somewhat cute 'decent' watch that can easily be binged through, though after that binge you may well be scratching your head to remember it's title because it won't leave the strongest of impressions and the title doesn't really play into the show like I've generally come to expect from recent anime. I definitely wouldn't call it trash nor do I regret watching it, I do look forward to seeing if they continue forward with any sort of storyline but it's certainly not with bated breath, simply something that will likely be added to a watchlist and binged through when I find myself looking for a way to waste some time which is what lead me to watch this project.

This anime started out soooo good but it changes soooo sudden; the pace of the anime can best be described by the anime "Angel Beats!" except Angel Beats! has a better 12 episode anime summary of the story. The anime absolutely needed another 12 episodes, at least, to feel like a well-paced anime but I understand...budget. Keeping *BUDGET* in mind, what they delivered is decent (to good) but definitely INCOMPLETE and rushed (because they were constrained to 12 episode); I hope the manga isn't actually like the anime in pacing lol. Most of the characters were flushed out and guessing what some of their personalities were going to be was quite obvious, nothing new as far as anime goes. The same kind of goes for major plot points that occur in the anime.

Honestly, if you're on the fence and aren't sure because of the top reviews and rating, give it a shot anyways. People ripped this series a new one, and it was already on my list to watch, so I just binged it. I don't regret it at all! This series gave a great foundation to the plot for the first half, and then was fast-paced in the 2nd half, as is typical in a 12-13 episode series. However, I felt the build-up and twists that come in the second half are really not that bad. If you think back on the story and how each action lead to where you end up, it really does logically make sense. But, you need to view it as a game progression and as if you're watching the video for a game versus watching an anime based on a webcomic or manga. Game construction is very different than other stories, yet also similar, and that is reflected in an anime production of it. If it didn't reflect that construction and concept, it wouldn't be bringing the game to life. Overall this series reminds me of a Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts RPG kind of game and the story really reflects that in its simplicity and progression. Just like those types of games have different endings based on your decisions and game completion, this series gave that sort of an ending. You come so close to top completion, only to fall short at the end and get the ending you didn't want because it's not the happily ever after you pictured for the characters. (I'm looking at you FFX-2....) So with that in mind, you can understand the storyline, the pace, and the train of actions behind every development. In short, this is an anime based off a game. Keep in mind you're watching game progression turned anime and you'll have a better experience watching this series. I really hope there's a Season 2 as it sets it up really well for another season!

Up to watching and completing this anime, 11 eyes was my least favourite anime just because I had some moral complaints about part of the story, which ruined the anime for me personally. HOWEVER, Shironeko Project takes the cake. There is no comparison to anything I've ever watched, it's just that bad. In my opinion it started off okay and I was able to at least enjoy the setting and the genres, up to episode 7. After episode 7 however, things just go downhill faster than light travels and it just got the point where I'm so annoyed at the anime, so frustrated so irritated that even after complaining about it on social media and after thinking about it, it still is getting on my nerves. If you want to watch anything decent, DON'T WATCH THIS ANIME, it's not decent at all, it will only trigger you and you'll be questioning your decision about watching it in the first place...

Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle is about the struggle between light and darkness. In general, it is an underdeveloped story, being its weakest point. And also a very hurried ending. The characters are quite correct, although they don't really get to be passionate. There's a lack of depth in them. The male protagonist has a somewhat flat personality, but he does his job well. The female protagonist also looks good. As for the designs, they're medium level, they're not horrible, but they don't stand out either. The ending is very rushed, and I'm sure it will leave many people unhappy, but it's not bad at all. The Opening is of a high level, while the music in general doesn't stand out too much. In general, it's an entertaining anime, but with great shortcomings in its story, lack of development in the characters, and a hasty ending.

When it comes to me, like new title, it was looks good with concept of this story. After 3 eps I told myslef: It is good anime ill ad it into my favourites. SO .. No it Isn't good anime! Characters are stupid and their lore is incomplete. If I can compare, that chars was wrost then in SAO.. Not good, not terrible. Soundtreck was good 1 good point :D I enjoy art. But at last 3 episodes, I hate it. In last ep they might do SOME animation on wings, it looks terrible like he fly on jetpak. Fight animations was boring in last 3 eps too. About story, the main disapointment im my side. I love concept of story. White and Dark pair, enemy, world.. BUT FORGET ABOUT ALL you expecting. Story is totaly incomplete, you don't get any lore, you dont get any good character ( expect Groza and Valas, only good characters in whole anime ). At least what will you epect, you lost 5 episodes ( 3-7 ) of nothing... Main bosses are so tacky.. I Don't even know, maybe its just my feeling, but this anime get way from good concept with good animation and art, to fu**ing hell of shit titles...

If I had stopped watching this show after the first ten episodes I would have called it a fun, easy to watch show. In no means great, but just some simple popcorn entertainment on the same level as Wise Man's Grandson. However, the last two episodes go 'F*ck it', do a total 180 and just ruin the whole show. Nothing about it fits. The tone is completely off, the character choices make no fucking sense based off of everything we've seen so far, they bring someone back from the dead and completely change his character, and one of the peace-loving characters that you're supposed to love basically comits genocide ande everything we've watched up until now basically becomes null and void.. What a crock of sh*t.

I don't understand how in gods fucking name that this shit didn't get put into the comedy category because this garbage is so damn bad it's hilarious. The main characters are more bland than an ice smoothie. The "hero" wants to create peace between two groups. Wow~! How fucking original! The animation sucks balls. In one fight, his shoulder and knee shields are shattered. They make it extra clear that this happened because they zoom in on it. But, in the frame after, there back! Not only that, but apparently losing a few scraps of metal makes it so that you can't protect yourself because in the next frame the shields are gone again and he gets cut where the shoulder shield was! I know that a five second weak ass fighting clip isn't that big of a deal but for me, and many others, shitty story planning is a major turn off. Nothing makes any sense and the ending was the worst of all. Ok, so you know how the point of endings are supposed to fill in the missing spots in the story. Well... this fucking garbage decides to destroy every thing we thought we knew and didn't even hint at what the fuck happened. Once I finished the last episode, the only thing I could say was, "What. The. Fuck." Please. Save your self and don't watch this. It isn't for the weak hearted.

Story 4/10 A bit of a mess really the only way I could truly understand the story after watching was through reading spoilers from people that have played the game. There were some good parts though some of the episodes were interesting particularly towards the end as I was quite interested to see what would happen and then the finish happened it wasn’t terrible but it definitely was a little disappointing. Art 6/10 This looked fine the world and characters looked reasonable though nothing overly special. Sound 7/10 The music here was excellent probably the best part of the show the sound and voice acting was reasonable. Characters 5/10 I did like some of the characters here they weren’t overly complex and you could figure out their behaviors and motivations pretty easily but I still liked them and I was certainly willing to cheer the two main characters on especially towards the end when things were really in the balance. Enjoyment 6/10 I did have some fun here especially towards the end where I really wanted to find out what was happened but prior to that there were some really slow episodes and the ending was a little disappointing to me. Overall 6/10

It's no mystery that this is a terrible show to watch. However, I do not intend to put blind hate in this review. It is clear after doing a bit of research, that this show is not intended for your average anime watcher. Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle, as the name implies, is a prequel to a bigger story. From that I assume that this story will require prior knowledge of the main story. As such no one who has not played the original game will be able to provide a fair review (in my opinion). Overall: I, and many others, think that this show was a waste of time. There were moments where I really wanted to enjoy the story, but couldn't due the glaring flaws of this show. I would only recommend this to any fans of the original game. If you have not played the games, do not watch this show. Story: Just from watching this alone, I highly do not recommend this show to anyone who doesn't know the original game. As it is, it provides little context, world-building, and character development as I believe this is a supplemented in the game. Art: Flashy, colorful, a bit over the top. It is easy to call it cheap and cliche, but if you get a kick out of that you might like it. Sound: The music and sound design fits very well and does bring atmosphere. Unfortunately, it does not reach its full potential as it is bogged down by the rest of the detrimental factors of the show. Characters: Simply put, they are incredibly cliche. I believe that most character development is found within the original game and not here. But as it is in the show, the characters can only be described as boring. Enjoyment: There were many moments where I found myself, wishing the show didn't waste time. It's unfortunate as I truly thought that this story had potential up until the last few episodes. Side note: It seems that there is going to be a Nintendo Switch game for the series as a whole will be released in Japan.

Never in my life have I written an MAL review. I have not even been on this site for such a long time but, this anime made me change all that. After 12 episodes of pure visual and audio torture, I really have to ask, where all did they go wrong? The answer to that is EVERYWHERE. 1) The overall plot: The first episode had me hopeful, it was a bit fast paced but it was a very good base plot. In my opinion they had a lot of room to work and should have easily made a good story. But nooooo we are somehow gonna twist it into mainstream crap that you can find anywhere. 2) The Characters: To sum it up, pure trash. Zero development, zero unique traits, zero effort into actually making anyone even a bit more interesting. They literally copy pasted like the 5 main traits from any major anime . One guy who is OP, one who is his follower, throw in a couple of love triangles and boom "NEW ANIME". 3) The ending <Little SPOILER> WHAT JUST HAPPENED?? I'm okay with dark endings but really what the heck. It was so stupid, there were no personal/moral conflicts with what was going to happen like it was basically a bland soup. To sum it up: Don't watch it . Save yourself from the torture , you are in the wrong place. If you do watch it try not to punch the screen and destroy your entire house in a fit of rage.

This anime is the example of anime you will forget in a week. The plot is childish (Darkness vs Light). The art is quite good but not exceptional, the chara-design is bad but it come from the video game so can't complain about that. The problem with that anime is the staff don't know what they are doing,a lot of thing are rushed like the training of the MC or the fight i wanted to see the MC training see him because of this training but no they ellipsed that but they decide to fucking made 2 episodes about characters eating foods and swap clothing(these 2 episodes are one of the biggest waste of my time ever). All in this anime is bad, except the art ,don't watch this!!!

So, after watching this anime i can easily say I revaluated lots of what I have seen before. Not because it is that good, mostly the opposite. As for start, the story is an easy 1 for me. Nothing new, overused cliché everywhere. Apart from the bad pacing i think this anime has missed its genre. Around the midle of it there whaere a "slice of life-ish" part, wich was the only thing this anime did right(apart from the sound). The poor art also didn't really contribute to the already failing story, then came the characters... For me, apart from Groza a couldn't bring myself to like any other characters. I will give it a 3 because at least they tried to develop them in that previously mentioned "slice of life" arc. I gave a fair 6 for the sound. The soundeffects in the show were quite mediocre, but the opening and ending had a really nice tune to go with. Nothing outstanding, but still okay. Overall: 2 I didn't enjoy it at al, if i recall correctly, there were 2 episodes I just ran trough, becouse i almost died of boredom.Even though it had a few episodes that managed to bring some enjoyment, the anime sadly lacks in almost all part, wich in the end leads to a very unpleasant experience.

Another season, another game adaptation. It's nothing atrocious, but it's also nothing to write home about either. I felt the earlier episodes were better, i think once our main protag goes to the land of light and they focus more on the light characters the show becomes less interesting. Most of the light characters are boring and you find yourself skipping through the episode to get to the main protags story. The last episode is pretty awful, and it ends on a cliff hanger. So you'll either have to wait for part 2 or play the game? Unless you plan to play the game I'd pass on this series. 5/10

The first 11 episodes are ruined by such a poorly written ending. Like the whole series just ended up being set up, with no clear indication of what it was setting up. So the audience has no understanding of what they're supposed to be anticipating in a potential sequel. Apparently the source material was a game? Was this supposed to be a 9 hour cutscene to set up the plot of the game? an Advertisement maybe? A writing team forced to only use material that didn't interfere with the plot of the game? I really don't know. And frankly, I never will know because I never plan on playing the game after the time I wasted being led along and then dropped at the door of some cash-grab mobile game. Overall, this series was a complete waste of time. The concept was great, but I question the real goal the production team had when making this show.

The fact that this show had so much potential but at the right moment takes the worst and most unexpected turn with every episode ending there stays a new hope of a better next EP but this show messes up that so bad overall worst anime I ever watched you better watch boruto that this dumb excuse of an anime. The character design were pretty good art style decent enough but the plot it just skips from being a peasant who lost his family to a knight in just 1 EP. It had so many time skips and unnecessary the potential was good two kingdoms light and dark they can't be united heroes goal unite them by becoming the dark king...

I was drawn to this anime, because the art looked like final fantasy with a moe edgelord as the protagonist. I wasn't expecting it to be great or anything, but I was hoping it'd at least fill the gap while I was knitting something for a friend's kid. WELL. Fill the gap it did, just not in the way I expected. The first episode moved so fast that I couldn't remember if they'd ever said the protagonists name. By episode 2, I realized they were avoiding it entirely, and by episode 3, I realized that the terribly generic and uninspiring moniker of "Prince of Darkness" WAS his name. Now, this is not the first anime to use generic roles or titles as names instead of you know, actual names. Maou to Yuusha did the same thing to great effect a number of years ago. But you see, Maou to Yuusha was GOOD. It had characters that were interesting. It had characters who did things that mattered. This show does not. It starts off with generic and uninspiring plot twists featuring generic and uninspiring characters doing generic and uninspiring things. In fact, everything in the show was so generic and uninspiring that by the time I reached the final two episodes I had no idea what the point of the anime was or why I was supposed to care. You know what the worst part was though? Mr. Generic Prince of Darkness didn't turn into a cute black cat to compliment the queen's literal cute white kitten. Disappointing. If he'd turned into a black cat at the end, it would've been worth slogging through.
