Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun

the perfect anime for those that enjoy light, funny, and heartwarming shows. as someone who prefers shoujo over everything, there are few exceptions that pick up my interest. this show was one of them. it had all of the elements that i enjoyed—i laughed so much every episode and as the series progressed i found myself caring about the development of the characters; i even read the remaining chapters of the ongoing manga to catch up on what the anime has not covered yet. the main character iruma-kun is a selfless individual. you can't help but root for a character that tries his best, is kind, and puts others first before himself. the way he impacts and motivates his classmates through his selflessness is inspiring to watch as well. other supporting characters such as the misfit class, the teachers and staff, etc. all make this show even more well rounded. if you are a fan of shows such as my hero academia, haikyuu, and demon slayer i believe you will like this show. the animation may not be as appealing as others and may seem more child-like but it adds to the charm. it reminds me of the old shows i used to watch as a kid. the opening and ending songs are also very catchy. overall, this is one of my new favorite shows. i will be rewatching while i wait for season 3 :)

Very entertaining anime from minute 0 you become fond of the protagonist. It makes you laugh very entertaining. Highly highly recommended the protagonist is a love you become very fond of the characters. The truth is very good anime I recommend it. For now it does not have a second season but I recommend it. Very good animation and soundtrack. The character design is very creative and entertaining. Well they threw my review down so when I write this it already has a second season, it is a very funny anime where we see a protagonist that his royal family did not want him so they sold him to a demon. His new grandfather not only treats him like his grandson but gives him the unconditional love he never had as his life begins in the underworld. Highly recommended if you gsuta konosuba.

honestly i tend to give every show i watch a 10/10 but honestly i really truly loved this show. i didnt think i'd enjoy it as much as i did since i don't typically enjoy fantasy school action-esque shows but this was amazing and addictive. i loved the comedy, the plot, just everything! i got attached to all of the characters, even the VILLAINS :,,,( every character has their own individual story and they're not pointless background characters. it's not a romance but there are so many potential love interests for iruma that you can't help but root for all of them!! basically i loved this show so much that im willing to watch the dub just so i have an excuse to rewatch it LOL i don't wanna read the manga because the anime is just that good (and i rarely ever do that) i'm looking forward to season 3!

This is one wholesome anime and suitable for family. I come in without any expectations only to leave feeling good. Love the characters and familial story. The broadway style performance from perhaps one of the most bizarre and irritating character in anime I ever know, yet she simply caught my heart towards the end. Irumi is cute and Emeri is waifu. It is amazing how many of these characters is so meaningful and how they develop their relationship with a good mixed of comedy. This is the go to anime when one seek for something relaxing with cookies and afternoon tea.

It's random like Gintama, but more PG and no poop jokes. Watch an episode when you need to chill and have a good time! Thought it was going to be stupid but I was bored so I gave it a go; after 2 episodes I'm completely hooked. The show is super fun to watch and is great for a good laugh. I don't know how else to describe this anime but hilarious. It's great. I busted out laughing many times while I'm watching all by myself, loud enough to seem a bit crazy LOL. I went in expecting nothing and came out with everything. The comedy style is light and PG, and has lots of randomness. It's random like Gintama, but more PG and no poop jokes. Watch an episode when you need to chill ...

I enjoy the character of Valac Clara that totally like a kid and the council president Ameri-san. They look both cute in their way: The rate of this anime: Story:8/10 Art: 7/10 Sound: 8/10 Character: 7/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Overall: 8/10

"Mairimashita! Iruma-kun" is very funny and enjoyable. Its synopsis seems generic at first, but this show pulls it off in the best way possible. The demon world is well made, it pokes fun at several shounen tropes in creative ways, and best of all it's hilarious. Its comedic moments land with great precision and impact. Of course, all this is possible due to how well written the characters are. The main cast is likeable with a good chemistry. Each of them has fun personalities which could be perceived as archetypal, but they pull off thanks to great voice acting and writing. The production is also pretty good. Animation pulls off the physical humor and the magic looks epic. OST is a banger with fun songs. The character designs are also cute and bring out the demon aesthetic. The overall artwork comes off to me as a storybook coming to life which is awesome. "Mairimashita! Iruma-kun" shouldn't be missed.

Actually just made an account so I could say how good this anime is. Watched all 24 episodes in 2 days and I normally watch one episode of anime a day. Read the manga too afterwards, lord help me. Stg tho character development is actually shown sometimes, same with romance, same with abilities and fighting skills (as we head towards an actual villain plot that was developed relatively lateish in the season, but especially later on, you shall SEE) SUPER TINY MINOR SPOILER ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- now time to explain my jazz x crocell ship jazzcell time he's a thief, shes a star, hes dangerous, shes curious of people that arent her fans, its like the theme from Lupin (netflix show french watch with subs)

soo this anime isint very original nor perfect but it got me in to it in like 5 minutes the story is also really nice but not really original but its ok it gets a 10 for its enjoyment the art is nothing really special tho the characters are really enjoyable but i think it could of been better we didint really get to know irumas parents and nothing really big happend in season 1 but im sure season 2 will fix that and there were no real fights either way its a great watch but its still lacking in ways and there are many demon school animes it is not special and there are still flaws like in characters even tho i really like them

I initially thought this would be some generic, boring anime that I would drop after a couple episodes. Turned out to actually be very funny and charming, the characters are unique and although they are cliched in some aspects that actually works in their favor. The only real downside is that there are a ton of side characters so in some episodes it feels like they're trying to cram as many in as possible, which would be fine if each and every character were developed, but they aren't. To be fair though, the show does mainly focus on the protagonist and his two friends. Speaking of those 3, they are a very, very, very good trio and balance each other out perfectly. The dynamic between them is impeccable and their friendship is probably the best part of this anime. Furthermore, the art is also pretty decent and at worst is still serviceable, and don't get me started about the music. The OP is a banger and some of the other songs are also great. From what I've seen online this anime actually seems to be rather underrated, so give it a shot if you're looking for something new to watch. It might just surprise you.

A fantasy anime that brings you back to childhood worry-free days! If you want to take a break from all kinds of anime that you guys have watched so far, may it be serious, good, or bad. The story and plot are simple and child-like but that is what makes it enticing to watch. You do not have to think hard, just go with the flow of Iruma as he goes into a journey in the Netherworld and fill yourself with joy and laughter. This is one of the best animes i have ever watched hard 10/10 in all aspect! Who knew the netherworld could feel like heaven? In the beginning it seemed like a big joke that's destined to fail based on Iruma being sold to a high rank demon, Sullivan, and plot twist, Sullivan wanted Iruma to be his grandson. I was confused whether its going to turn out to be a serious story or a parody. but the next scenes were really good and made me laugh. He made good friends, Azz-kun and Clara and the others, a doting grandfather, Sullivan, and reliable butter, Opera. His life was turned upside down for the better. He used to have an unfortunate life and now he's living like a royalty, knowing his grandfather is one of the big 3 and suppose to be the next demon king. Whats important in this anime is that you do not take things seriously. Even the life-and-death moments like when Kirio Ami plotted to destroy the school, it felt like it was just passing through with no major twist. And that what makes it enjoyable, everything light, good vibes, great atmosphere. Although there were times that i felt critical, that was when he was still unsure of staying in the netherworld and going back to the human world, and Opera gave him an idea to do so and that is by going up the ranks, and another was when Amelie's father offered him help to go back, but fortunately in the end it felt like it was implied that Iruma wanted to stay for good. The whole show im looking forward on the adventures of Iruma, how he would avoid the dangers of the netherworld as a human, how many friends he would gather, what are things he would do that would sky-rocket his popularity despite desiring to be invisible, and if there's a possibility that he could turn to a devil with wings in order to truly fit in the netherworld without the risk or fear of exposing himself as a human. Im looking forward for the 2nd season and i want to know what happened to Iruma in the after credits, how he ended up with a different attitude and whats behind the heavily chained door. This ends my review, Enjoy watching everyone!

I'm gonna be straight up, I have never written a review before, but as someone who grew up watching anime and as a child exposing myself to Rosario x Vampire and similar anime, when I began watching this anime it quickly entered my top ten- maybe even my top three anime. I found Iruma and I didn't know I needed this type of show. Iruma is a happy anime with a slow moving plot that acts primarily in the background until the school festival arc, but we'll get to that later. Lets talk about Iruma, he's an innocent kid really just doing his best. His parents would sell him for a literal cornchip if they didn't know they could get more work out of him in another way, they're terrible, but they're not a part of the story. There's no sad, tragic past because there's no time for it. Iruma was lonely, but it wasn't something always looming in the background. He was busy trying to work hard to make his life the best he could without knowing how to take the steps to get out of it. He's a sweetie, he's loveable, and he works really hard to keep up with Azz and Clara since he just wants to be with his friends. Now Asmodeus is a strong rich boy who is incredibly powerful for a first year. In the first episode he is as haughty and prideful as he seems, you would assume that you would hate him, but you don't have the chance, no no no. After Iruma accidentally german suplexes his ass he becomes a comical underling of Iruma. His pride is stripped away, he is now Iruma's sword, and throughout the show you can see that simple bond form into a loveable friendship where Asmodeus and Iruma start to really love each other as very close friends would. They lift each other up. Asmodeus learns what a friend is, and Iruma learns how to work hard for his own goals that he now has the chance to start making. Clara is a wild card if a wild card had hilarious musical numbers when the rest of the deck was introduced. She's zany and wacky and amazing, and while a lot of these characters quirks are repeated, it is only to highlight important moments of growth between the comedy. In a world full of different kinds of demons, there are of course going to be succubus. Clara wants to learn how to seduce men- but not because she actually knows what seduction is, she just wants to always have Iruma play with her. The drawback? She does not have a sexy bone in her body. She works really hard though, and her 0% sexy level slowly rises to (if I'm remembering correctly) 3%. Her attractiveness comes from her innocence, the one thing she wants is to have fun, and from that attractive joy she slowly learns how to be more attractive. In the manga this is followed up and built upon and it stays in her character. Clara is not only hilarious, but like every character in Iruma, there is something wholesome and loveable about her. In the lower rated reviews they say there is too much repitition and no story, and I believe if you think that then you either didn't finish all 23 episodes, or you haven't been paying attention to the building of the foundation for the story through the different characters we meet. Season 2 is going to be a blast and even more enjoyable than season 1m but I strongly reccomend watching Iruma to just sit and relax. Let yourself be pleasantly surprised by the friendships in Mairimashita Iruma-kun Note: I gave art a 10 not because of the quality but because of the interesting looks of the characters and how they reflect their personalities!

it was wild but not too crazy. And had a little action. The characters were each interesting in their own was, tho I think some were not used enough and some could have been used less. I would have liked to see some of them more the characters I mean, I liked the relationship with Ameri and Iruma and how they first met. I am excited tho for season 2 after the ending and want to see how things play out from there. I did find it funny how Iruma did not have to try as hard as I thought to hide he is human, only a little.

This anime is something else. I am not typically into the "nerd escape fantasies" like this definitely falls under, but it does it incredibly well. What makes it weird is how it almost feels like it's making fun of itself, all the tropes it does for escape fantasies just makes it feel like there's no way it's taking itself seriously and is definitely self aware. The character constantly wins, at everything, is super popular, has a lot of chicks that wants to bang him, etc. You don't roll your eyes though, it's just part of the ride, and you laugh as it goes on because of course things work out for him. It has moments that's cringe, but it's done in a way where you sorta wanna see what happens next because of it. The characters in the universe are constantly giving the main character reasons to come out on top and his obstacles or "demons" he has are so insignificant to how great he is doing but he doesn't see it that way. So you have here a male mary-su, a marty-stu, with a generic story and everything... but it keeps your focus and you enjoy it. Without spoiling anything, let's just say it's a journey even though on paper it doesn't seem like much is happening. This is not by any means an anime you watch for an epic story or plot, it's designed in a way where you can view it as a joke or take it seriously and still enjoy it and it's very well done.

i thought this anime would be some unfunny fantasy anime with harem and things ,but oh boy i was wrong. Sound the opening was like wtf for me at the beginning but at the end it was actually fine when i got used it.the ed is not bad too.Now i can't seem to get the op out oof my mind :") characters the characters are all likeable. The character design look unique to me :") art style the art was good it was different than most of the anime which i have seen :') Conclusion the anime is fun and enjoyable.I would recommend it to everyone even if you don't like fantasy genre :+)

The fusion between Mx0 and Rosario To Vampire is here, with a little trace of the protagonist of Hayate No Gotoku. Summary: an unlucky boy is sold by his family to a demon. He must live in the world of the demons without letting know that he is a human or he will be get eaten!!! Enjoyable (for the presence of Clara). Animation ok. Pace with some ups and downs. The most of the things are already seen. Pretty much simple story. So and so done. Clichés and stereotypes could be used better. Not emotional. Funny because of Clara. Easy to follow. A funny comedy. The OST don't have a great impact. Here and there predictable. Closed with a cliffhanger. Character design lovable and a little particular. Fan service not so much present. Clara is the craziest waifu!

8.5/10 (S1-S4) Demon School Iruma-kun is a cliche, if not enjoyable turn your brain off fantasy about a young boy rising to extraordinary circumstances. Rather than striving for innovation, Iruma’s plot is very paint by the numbers. There are various tropes present in this type of story one can come to expect: a happy-go-lucky hero changing the system, “tournament” arcs, the power of friendship, wacky antics, contrived power ups, etc. Yet where Iruma-kun works well is its ability to balance its large cast of characters with its overarching story themes. Not only is the supporting cast fun and colorful, but none of them feel like archetypes and are reasonably fleshed out. There are also several intriguing mysteries, fun lore, and a plethora of fuzzy subplots throughout. Its pacing is reasonable as each season ends with enough nuggets of information to keep the viewer watching. Like many long running stories for boys seen today, however, our hero Iruma still has a long way to go before reaching his plot goal or seriously facing the antagonistic force. Demon School Iruma-kun is neither boring, irritating, or offensive—it’s just a simple story executed well. It’s lighthearted, got likeable heroes, and balances action and comedy perfectly. It’s also well animated and has cute character designs. Demon School Iruma-kun’s final product is comfortable and ticks all the right boxes.

This is everything I needed from a show. I could watch it over and over again and never get bored. All of the characters are quite complex and get a lot of screen time, so this way we get to know each member of the class and I absolutely adore how it is done, you basically can just watch them interacting with each other and it would be more then enough, it is so fun and it continues like that throughout the following series and it is simply perfect. The soundtrack is amazing, both opening and ending are insanely addictive. It mixes many genres in a way it's simply perfect, it is objectively very funny 10/10 anime!

***Attention: I watched this show dubbed for reasons I will elaborate on*** I dunno; if you like the run-of-the-mill anime you can put on while doing something else, I recommend this show. I tried my hardest to get into it in the beginning and watch it, but just due to the nature of the anime, it is not something I could put all of my attention into. This show became the show that I would put on while making dinner, doing my hair, cleaning my apartment, etc. It is a really good show to do other things because, unlike so many other animes, you don't have to pay all your attention to it to comprehend the premise. It also reminds me of Western animated shows in the sense that you can put on a random episode and still get the premise because a lot of what occurs during each episode is not a continuation of the previous. All this is not to say that it is NOT a good anime because I believe it is. Do I think it is revolutionary? No, however, it is a feel-good anime that makes you laugh, and you cannot go wrong with that. All and all, if you want a feel-good anime that you do not need to use your brain to watch, I highly recommend this anime. But if you want more substance, maybe try something else.

Don't be fooled by the sub-8* rating.. this anime is one of the best comedies ever aired so far. Funny and interesting characters that actually HAVE a character (every..single..one..), plot that actually makes sense and goes on, and clean animations & narrative. The art in the manga is already good and the animation & sound teams did a great job bringing it to life! I can't recommend it enough to both adults and teens -- enjoy watching 😁 (this is where I wanted to stop my review but apparently I gotta go on.. If you're not convinced yet feel free to keep reading :p) The story itself is a unique twist of the standard high school comedy genre, with a good level of involvement from the Isekai genre, in which the main drive is our protagonist being some sort of 'impostor' and trying to avoid being exposed as a human. I'm no fan of Isekai anime in general but I usually fancy anime that have a school-setup focus, because I believe that gives the most freedom to the creator's imagination to go wild.. and WILD it is for this particular one. As for sticking to reality, the creator chooses the easy way out of certain stuff that 'trouble' the MC quite a few times, but I appreciate that as it lets the COMEDY aspect be the main focus of the anime.
