When i was starting with this anime i wasn't sure if im going to watch trough it all but i decided to stay and after 3rd episode i was already hooked. -Anime is good, almost non-existent annoying fan-service. -Good character interactions. -Fun YES/YES but also seriousness where it should be. -I would be happier if relationships move faster. -World is weird but it takes only few episodes to get used to it and after you will not pay any attention to it besides few bizarre things that occur here and there. -Story is bit predictable since we all know what is going to happen at the end but we don't know how to and there are sure some surprises that you wouldn't expect at all. -Characters are very different from each other(yes you probably can find this types in different anime) and this is what drags me to it since i have one meter for every character and that is if all characters would look exactly same would i be able to tell difference who is who ? And yes in this anime pretty much. This is anime is actually done great and without any unnecessary things. 9/10

This is a really silly shonen that focuses on the life of a human attending a school created for demons. I am enjoying the series so far, but not quite so much that I've fallen in love with it.. yet. You know a series is going to be good when you can recognize almost every voice actor within the first few minutes. With the comfy storyline and familiar voices, this series almost feels nostalgic or sort of deja vu-esque. The art, sounds, story, development, and so on are enjoyable but almost predictable to the point of being cliche. There are one or two components I hope develop further to make this more interesting and unique than it is presenting so far. If the series dives down those roads I think it might be worth reading the manga and re-evaluating this rating. If not, I still expect this series to be pretty enjoyable overall - unless the writing takes a horrible turn somewhere it should be a light-hearted and easy to watch series.

Considering how boring and generic the synopsis and concept of the story is, it did a pretty good job of being entertaining and keeping things fresh. To start off, it is an isekai, but not rly, since the main character (Iruma) has the chance and ability to go back to the living world at any given time, which is a completely different approach to the isekai genre, of not having an escape from the magical world that the mc has been transported to. Everything is as colorful as it gets, especially the hair color of characters, the art is definitely made to catch peoples eyes, it's comically flashy and appealing. A flaw that I think most isekai suffer from, this one included, is that the ''magical world'' that the mc gets transported to is just like any human world from a slice of life or something, characters are nice and welcoming, even if they are devils or demons. The only thing that changes is the setting in which the story is set in, character interactions and stuff is just like any high school slice of life to say the least. As I mentioned at the start, the story did a good job of keeping things fresh, every 1-2 episodes something new happens that features a new problem that needs a solution, which might seem boring, but the problems and the solutions are somewhat unique, considering it's an isekai. Overall, it's good, I was a bit reluctant to start watching it immediately after finding it, but it was worth it.

I was first introduced to the series via YT Crunchyroll collection videos, which I deemed quite funny, so I decided to watch it I wasn't disappointed. Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is an interesting blend of comedy, superpowers and school with lots of unusual situations thanks to school being located in Demon realm. Side characters are entertaining and have unique different personalities, main characters also grow through the season and not in strength alone - they develop as Iruma friends and supporters. Honestly, this anime was so addictive to watch that I hardly can stop watching (it is one of strengths of this anime). Every new episode was different, and in a good way. It was never boring because main and side characters work so well to entertain viewer. And thanks to different personalities, characters sometimes interact in unusual ways that spice up the comedy. Also, Iruma himself is a strong character, not in brute strength, but in heart. It's a rare sight in anime when 14 y.o. act mature and can splendidly overcome obstacles - and not thanks to being ridiculously OP like in some battle shonens, but thanks to sharp mind and determination. His convictions in firework arc were simply beautiful. He is, indeed, deserve praises of fellow demons. I wish there were more Ameri, because she looks like a strong female lead and is gorgeous in terms of beauty and character. Hopefully, there will be more Ameri x Iruma interactions in latter seasons. Opera and Sullivan are also very amusing characters, looking forward to seeing them in future too. P.S. Opening is a mess of syllables more than song, yet it is so catchy that I sang along sometimes. Probably looked very silly haha

I didnt want to watch this anime. I first saw it on netflix and honestly, it looked like a childish cartoon full of really cringy shounen elements. I was wrong, I was so so so so wrong. Starting with the bad parts of the story. The premise is nothing really unique in terms of shounen or even isekai. Kind hearted kid gets transported to the demon world and affects people will his radiant personality. It sounds lame and to be honest, it really is nothing to write home about. The world is not very well defined. We dont really know what's happening outside of the protagonist perception. We also dont really have much of an indication of how age, money, the economy works in this world. It would seem this is big issue for an isekai but it manages it well since were brought to the story through the eyes of a human. The power dynamics are also not so well defined, its hard to understand the different powers and how to strengthen them etc, specially in the first season. the art and music is mid at best. But the source material for this is really good and it improves specially in the next season. For the good parts. The characters are really well written. In the first few episodes, it feels archetypal but actually the characters are developed really well. Specially their reasons and motivations for why they do things. You really see ALL the characters grow in their own way and the meaningful way the main characters humanity helps them. Its a masterclass in friendship. The author really knows how to write good relationships. Not just between the main character and other people but between other characters and each other. Lastly, its funny and interesting. Its very relatable and watching it makes you feel warm and happy and wholesome. the first season might not be anything special but that's because it is setting up the rest of the story and the characters. I really suggest for everyone to read the manga as it is really rare for a story to just keep getting better. In the end, this story is an example of how to write characters that everyone loves and how to use tropes well that actually add to the story.

Iruma is 14 year old kid that got Isekaied to the demon world. He was sold to one of the highest ranking demons to be his grandchild and is now attending demon hogwarts pretending to be a demon.... with all the other demon kids that eat humans. This is a very silly anime. You just have to look at a screenshot to see that it's directed at kids. But... It's funny, it's cute and the actions/reactions on screen make sense. Usually they force everyone's attention on the bland MC because MC. Here it's earned each and every time. There are even little things that always felt out of place in anime addressed here. Like Iruma gets told off for endangering himself instead of asking the faculty for help. Like REALLY told off with a real adult/kid interaction. The love interest falling for him being earned through continues support and respect. It's silly and it's fun. For those earned moments I'm bumping it from an overall 7 to an 8. It also had me cackling a few times which is always a good thing.

*may contain spoilers* I don't usually write reviews, in fact this is my first time writing one but I wanted to share my opinion on this anime. story: 5/10 the plot of welcome to demon school is pretty average and not too unique, its about a kind boy named Iruma who was sold of to the chair demon Sullivan and brought to the demon world and became Sullivan's grandson. He attends a demon school and tries not to stand out, the story is nothing special imo and has been used before. art: 7/10 the animation of this anime is nothing special but i really do admire the color scheme/palate. its very bright, cute, and easily recognizable it was actual one of the main reasons why I wanted to watch this anime. The art is very childish and reminds me of a show that would be on Disney jr for some reason. sound: 7/10 I'm assuming that by sound it means the op/ed and the voice acting. starting with the op ill admit that the op is very good and easily got stuck in my head. I also loved seeing the pretty, bright colors in the op. moving on to the voice acting, I don't think its anything special but i really do like irumas voice, it fits him very well and sounds so cute. as for everyone else they sound pretty average. I would having given this category a 5 or 6/10 but i really like the op so it gets a 7/10 overall for me. Characters: 6/10 The characters are also nothing special. we have iruma, a cute boy whos kind, everything goes well for him, and he naturally stands out. asmodeus is the character who follows around the mc and praises them for every little thing they do ( kind of like the elite four and lady satsuki). clara who can sometimes be cute but also sometimes just annoying. and ameri the student council president who is the cold on the outside but childish on the inside (not sure if that was the best way to explain that). Iruma is personally my favorite character and I'm thinking its because he reminds me so much of midoriya. I personality don't care for ameri but its probably because she likes iruma and overall just think she is an overrated character. she also gets on my nerves a little for some reason. Enjoyment: 8/10 simply put, i love seeing asmodeus, iruma, and clara bond and i think their relationship is so cute! I enjoyed this a lot for that reason. Overall: 8/10 I would definitely recommend this anime and i think that this anime is very underrated. Its a unique anime in certain ways and very enjoyable. definitely a hidden gem.

An excellent shonen comedy with elements reminiscent of older shows from the same genre, this show manages to feel nostalgic while adding minor adjustments to the formula that make it feel fresher the more you watch. While the story is nothing new, the characters are easily the best part with each of them having distinct personalities to the point that even recurring side characters become memorable. The jokes are also never at the expense of a character's writing, no "accidents" here, so for someone who cares little for such jokes, there are very few jokes here that actually miss completely. The sound design is also very good with the ost being expecially notable as it sounds like a mix of Halloween and Christmas music. The only really low point in this show is that the art is just alright. It's perfectly serviceable, but might be a factor in why this show gets skipped. There's also the fact that the OP and ED don't sell the show very well, but you appreciate the more you see it. I heavily recommend anyone burnt out from most modern shows to give this one a try. Easily the best comedy in a long while.

Despite having a light-hearted show, season 1 delivers a very good job in entertaining me as an audience with a colorful environment, and the story is somewhat decent enough to keep up with, and the characters are as interesting and lovable as they can be, especially best girl Azazael being tsundere, or grandpa Demon (Sulivan-sama) being grandpa. One thing I don't like is the opening of the show, mainly the song in the opening, it is too loud and way too poppy for my taste, All in all, Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is a fun, enjoyable for everyone to see, and I would say that this would be a starter anime watchers for the isekai genre.

**Might be some spoilers ahead** Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is an anime of two halves. First half has great pacing, character build up was good. The character, though not great, are good at doing their parts. The comedy and story progression were decent too. However, the second half of the show is beyond horrible. They throw out the three things that made this anime enjoyable, the comedy, the side characters and mainly the pacing. The whole second half focuses only one arc, that could have been finished in only 3 episodes, but they took too long. And if you stretch a story as flawed as this, the faults become larger and larger. This show had so much potential. However, it turned into another disaster.

All of my reviews and scores are subjective, I can aknowledge the short comings in this show such as the rushed animation. But I love this dang show, watching dumb blue hair kind boy protag and his silly struggles in funny demon world with funny demon friends. Twas a fun ride with a memorable cast, not an objective masterpiece but I loved it. That's really it, I don't have a whole lot else to say at this time. The characters are wonderful and the show in general is a simple n fun concept. It's good writing and for some reason it really clicked with me.
