Dr. Stone: Stone Wars
ドクターストーン STONE WARS
ZAZC
Oh, it's already over? Goddamnit. I want more already -- and it just ended on me like that. But, I'll review it in my sorrow this season of Dr. Stone, (if you're perhaps looking for a review to know whether or not Dr. Stone is worth it? It is. Get on it) so okay, let's get on to it. But before I begin, Dr. Stone can most certainly be described as cliche or their talks can be bloated at times, though thats a bit rare. But it certainly makes up for it. ~Story (7.5/10): Dr. Stone's story, plot, whatever you wanna call it is, generally speaking, is a good plot. Nothing so profound, it isn't something so deep or thought-provoking you'd have to think for a good few minutes to digest the episode. Rather, when an episode ends, or for me at least, I just feel a rather gratifying feeling, For Dr. Stone, you should seriously expect things to be done with science, and always that. But the thing is, it's realistic, it isn't something they're pulling out of their ass. All things in Dr. Stone are definitely plausible and can be done in real life (some things shouldn't be mimicked in real life, but it really does work!). Which is one thing I absolutely do love about Dr. Stone. Dr. Stone can execute such a simple story, effectively, along with maybe some of the best pacing you'll see in awhile, the pacing never feels off nor is there ever things done superfluously, it's all very sufficient. It all makes sense Though, it kicks off pretty much right where the first season ended, I would give a quick summary of the first season for those who forgot, wanted to see it written down or whatever, I don't know. However, I don't need to, we had Gen **personally**, explain it to us in the first episode. I don't care what anybody says, that was NOT a waste of the first 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Thanks Gen. ~ HOWEVER, there's only one MAIN issue with the Dr. Stone. It's too damn short, you may argue "But bro, it's like 21 minutes (excluding op&ed) of content, what do you mean?" Well, valid point. But shut up. Please. I just love Dr. Stone and want more contenttt. As Ellenwitch put it in their preliminary review for this season, "Stone Wars keeps you interested, only wishing that it wasn't 24mins long, and was much longer, as you'll be wanting the next episode to come out as soon as the one you are watching is finished. We're all sitting here on the edge of our sea[t], anticipating to see how the Stone Wars end." -- and also to see the next season come out preferably the next day. Though, that might be a bit taxing on the animators or there might not be enough content for another cour, yet. ~Art (7/10): The art in Dr. Stone is pretty great.. and weak, this season definitely has improvements compared to last. I'm glad it's more consistent, however, I don't like how sometimes is just consistent then the next moment, not so much. The art in the OP looks great though, I don't have much to talk about this here, but all-in-all, they did a great job, there are times where the art definitely is an easy 8/10, for example, most of ep 8&10, and other times, where it's a 2/10, and mainly for that I have to give it a 7. But the animators still did an amazing job overall. ~Sound (10/10): I don't need to explain, do I? The OSTs? AMAZING! The VAs? ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, IF NOT, PERFECT ACTUALLY! THE OP AND ED? THEYRE RELAXING. MAYBE OP3 ISNT AS GREAT AS OP 1 OR 2, BUT IT'S STILL DAMN NICE. THE ED? SO DAMN GOOD. But I wanna say: Great job to the VAs for doing an such a perfect job portraying the characters. Like Senkuu for example, when he finally heard that big oaf's voice over da phone, and aswell as him being a scumbag, his VA acted him out perfectly. There are times where it isn't a 10/10, but that's quite rare. If you're looking for amazing quality in terms of sound overall and with the VAs and more. Dr. Stone is where it's at, 10/10 overall. ~Characters (8/10): Pretty much the same old characters we should all love. But Dr. Stone truly has shown some sides of the characters we didn't see before... and just managed to make us like them even more than before! Some of the noteworthy ones is the man himself, SENKUU!! You can't forget Gen, Chrome, Kohaku, and Tsukasa. Would've said Ukyou too, but we barely got to even meet him. Overall, all the characters may not be so realistic, but they're all pretty great. Love the dynamic and all that stuff. All you need to know is, Dr. Stone = great lol ~Enjoyment (9.5/10): Not even Senkuu's science can explain how 20 minutes go by in 5! ~ Overall (8.5/10) Definitely better than last, especially episodes 8-11. Easily 9/10. But that concludes my review, thought I did alright for this. Hope y’all enjoyed, have a nice day. Different opinions are welcomed

Nitpicking over the science stuff is stupid because it is a fictional anime and making scientific things as difficult as the reality doesn't sound entertaining. So I don't mind senku pulling things out of his ass as long as he explains how he did it. But all that said, this anime has no real sense of danger or any real sense of thrill, also what with the fights why are they so lackluster?. Season 2 is called a stone war, Yet not even a single person died. When you know that not even random fodders are gonna die then why would you feel any real sense of fear for your main characters. This really is a fairy tale at this point hell, even fairy tales have more consequences than this. On top of that the story is so damn predictable. You always know how things will turn out. There is no suspense that puts you on the edge of the seat. Good guys will win bad guys will lose this is how things always go. I mean seriously the bad guys are so strong that they can easily destroy our main cast without even trying, but our main cast has very strong plot armour For example, There was a scene where our Main character was building a weapon to beat the big bad guys and bad guys knew about this, Yet they wasted their time beating some fodders instead of rushing to the location and snapping the neck of the main character.

(Spoilers) Dr. Stone Season 2 was just as great as last season maybe even better even if it was 11 episodes long I really enjoyed it Story 9/10- After Senku created his version of a phone and gave it to Taiju and Yuzuriha who been in the Tsukasa empire they create a plan to get the miracle fluid back and what happens after it is amazing and somewhat sad. I've enjoyed the anime story as we see what Science can do with what Senku can think of and how to receive the miracle fluid which makes the anime even better. Art 8/10 and Sound 8/10- Art was good as it looks beautiful with each character design and background with how bright the colour looks. The opening was enjoyable to listen to and the voice actor for the sub and dub did well in their character roles Character 9/10- Senku and the others in the anime have been working well in there plan to getting the Miracle fluid and I like how the anime uses most the character for different roles for different things to give them something to do and not make them some side character that arent important Enjoyment 9/10- The anime was really enjoyable as when there is a situation Senku faces he figures out a plan in order to carry on which I love as he is the main protagonist who isn't strong but instead intelligent and uses his knowledge to create many inventions that just makes it more enjoyable but the anime is still funny in some episode which makes me smile. Overall 9/10- I've enjoyed this season, the story, sound, characters and art were all enjoyable and it just made me want to watch each episode due to how good it is and I'm happy that is getting a sequel.

Definitely wanting and loving and expecting and will be waiting and will support the upcoming CONFIRMED 3RD SEASON. Really liked the anime especially after the 1st season left us with the war between might kingdom and science kingdom. Really did not expect the turn of events and how the Dr. Stone Stone Wars ended. Its full of emotions, for example, the relationship of Tsukasa and Senku, it felt really much like brotherly warmth, a warmth we longed for especially in this suffering we have in the real world. This warmth that comes from knowing that they could do anything together and that they always have someone like a family when they are together. Really great anime, however, at the ending there is still this painful emotion, even though knowing that Senku will try his best to revive Tsukasa, really hoping the 3rd Season will continue to be amazing. I really like this anime because, despite of showing all the science stuff and how they are made, which is very interesting already, they are able to keep up and continue to made an impact with their story. Not like other animes that focuses on the making of stuff and their story is all over the place. For this reason Dr. Stone attracted me, just like I have said earlier, because of its nice amazing science stuff and interesting story plot that catches the viewers attention. AGAIN, I REALLY LOOK FORWARD TO THE 3RD SEASON. For those who havent watch this anime yet, please do try it, you learn stuff, and you also will be touched by its story. 2 birds in a stone! Do Enjoy!

What a fantastic second season of Dr. Stone! Unfortunately for this season, it came out at the same time as Attack On Titan, Re: Zero and Jujutsu Kaisen... the story of Dr. Stone gives me a different king of hype then the three above, that's why I love and appreciate it so much! Let's get right into the anime basics. Story; following the first season, Senkuu and his allies from the Ishigami village are getting through the winter season, trying to figure out how to create a non-perishable food supply, infiltrate Tsukasa's base for the miracle liquid cave and somehow revive/un-petrify all of humanity one-by-one. You get see see everyone grow as a team, everyone's true colours (whether they're kind, nasty or literal idiots) and by the end seeing how the relationship between the two villages unfold! Art; I haven't gotten far into the manga, but I know for a fact that the scene's and characters looks are pretty damn close to the manga! Sound; I wasn't sure about the OST at the start of the anime... but by the end I loved it to death! I wish they didn't include the tank into the intro *haha*. Characters; The Ishigami village grows in numbers when they start to pull in members from Tsukasa's side. You get to learn about everyone's past, how they feel in the new petrified world and what their goals are for the future. Overall, I really enjoyed this season of Dr. Stone: Stone Wars. *** SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER *** I was shocked... and still am actually, that the "Dr. Stone" (in Senkuu's eye's) was a bar of god damn soap that he first made with Taiju and Tsukasa back in the first season. I really hope that when the third season of the anime comes out it'll stand out a lot more then this season. I don't know if they did it on purpose, but I hope they look at the anime scheduling in the future!

It's very fortunate for us fans to have gotten a second season of Dr. Stone not long after season one ended, and man, what a season has it been, although, not of the same length, but still managed to pack so much content that it felt like a three cour season that we finally realize, unironically, the story is only started, for what these two last seasons were only the prologue of a long and complex story that stretches as far as the horizon and beyond. Story (9/10): After the reveal of the title of the season a year ago “Stone Wars”, many fans were worried that the series is heading for what it doesn't excel at the most. Warfare. After the mediocre mini-tournament arc of the first season, we all agreed that if anything the series fails at is action-centric combat, it is the perfect show that brings the nerd out of us, the type that dislikes physical conflict and craves science and intellect, so it was a natural reflex for most of it to get turned off by the title alone, fearing it's going to be one gigantic battlefield with blood and slaughter only for Boichi to dunk on us and introduce us to what's probably the best part of the show, narratively speaking. The plot feels more fast-paced, adapting several chapters each episode which keeps you on your toes the whole episode which twists and turns especially nearing the end of the season. Art (8/10): Season one taught us it was never about industry-defining animation, and more about an onion enjoying science and building civilization, it was good enough to not such and bad enough to not stand out but it was not holding back the show, which is most important. Sound (9/10): If not for the opening and ending theme songs, both seasons would have been on the same rank when it comes to sound composition, but I would be lying if I gave the win to this season, although the opening and endings were good, there were not as good as season 1's. The voice acting was not that much different either, the same performance all way around. Characters (9.2/10): I gotta give it to this season character-wise, for starters, the cast is bigger than ever but also, more intimate and varying. So many good characters are introduced and expanded upon, even Tsukasa grows as a character and shows real remorse. Development at its peak was documented this season, no complaints here. Enjoyment (10/10): Watching the first season, I fear that with how much I liked it there was never going to be another season of the same show that compares, but luckily, I was proven wrong, it's just how the series works, almost an afterthought. The essence of the story remained the same, only with a bigger cast and riskier stakes. Overall (9.04/10): I see no reason for skipping this season, if you enjoyed the first season, you would love this one, if you didn't like the first season, you would enjoy this one, it's an upgrade through and through.

Dr. Stone is one of the gems of all anime. The second season and the arc about the war between Tsukasa and Senku brilliantly showed two different ideas of the world. Each of them had their reasons which clashed in the war. Senku won in the end, but it does not mean that Tsukasa's thinking was found to be wrong. What he believed was left to be an ongoing problem that they would have to solve in the future. The whole is supported by great graphics and music exactly matched to the nature of the scene and the emotions it brings. A big key to the success of anime is also various characters, whose different personalities and stories diversify the plot. The characters' behavior leads either to epic moments when we hold our breath or to overly funny moments where our stomach hurts from laughter. Dr.stone's creators showed the emotions of the heroes not only by laughing or crying, showing them as real people, and I think they should get a lot of praise for it.

This text contains small spoilers. You're in no danger if you choose to read this and haven't seen the second season, although it might change the way you watch it a bit. What, were you really expecting a war? Fights? Let me chuckle a little. You don't seem to know what this is about. It was obvious from the get-go that the "war" would be resolved using the head, with strategy... with science. As contradictory as it may seem, science is the closest thing to magic we have in this world. Using this tool, this body of knowledge, we can cure and eradicate diseases, communicate across unthinkable distances, take humans into space and even make accurate predictions about the future. Magical, don't you think? Dr. Stone shows this magic in a unique and incredible way. The setting, a stone world with humans who do not know the power of science, is ideal to highlight the importance and beauty of each of the rediscoveries. But you already know this, after all, if you are reading this is that you saw the first season. The situation is different now, conflict is just around the corner and the future of civilization is at stake. We have been preparing for this since the last episodes of the previous season, as Senku prepared at that time his best weapon: communications. The gunpowder, swords and even the tank and dynamite that make their appearance in the final stretch of this second season are only ways to keep the enemy at bay, but do not represent a real threat, as Senku's goal is not, and never was, to hurt or kill, but to unite. As the chapters progress we also realize that those we called enemies are not out to harm either: Nikki is an adorably rude fan of Lillian's music, Ukyou's only requirement to help is that no one dies, and Tsukasa really only seeks to create a better world. Regarding the latter, Tsukasa is an antagonist I can't entirely disagree with - who wouldn't seek to make this a better world if presented with an opportunity as good as this? Likewise, his method (not reviving the "bad guys") doesn't seem far-fetched to me either, although destroying the statues might be a bit far from necessary. On the other hand, honestly, Senku's goal of reviving everyone and having everyone think together how to survive seems idealistic and naive to me (if you can give Senku that adjective), since you only have to take a look at today's society to see what the result of that is. As happened in the penultimate episode of the season, both ideas must fight hand in hand and support each other to reach an agreement and achieve the greater goal: to survive and regain civilization. Story aside, TMS Entertainment once again delivers steady and consistent animation. While it is true that some fight scenes are almost static, I don't think you can find any other objection to the work the studio is doing with this series. Musically speaking, the soundtrack is accurate for an environment like Dr. Stone and what a wonderful opening and ending themes this season has given us, especially the latter, which I have repeated over and over again in my playlist. On the voices side I want to highlight the amazing job Kobayashi Yuusuke (Subaru in Re:Zero, Arthur in Fire Force) is doing playing Senku; seriously, could he do it better? He perfectly represents the whole personality of our protagonist and exalts each of his characteristics impeccably. In this last aspect it is certainly also nice to hear Nakamura Yuuichi as Tsukasa's voice. In conclusion, in all honesty, I couldn't have asked for anything better when combining two of my great passions. Dr. Stone is, personally, a work of art that hits the spot in each and every aspect. Without a doubt, a 10 billion/10 billion lock for me. P.S. How amazing was it for people less than two centuries ago to be able to use a telephone? Probably as surprising as it was for the villagers of Ishigami 3700 years in the future.

I'm really happy Dr. Stone exists, you know? It's such a unique concept for an anime, and the way it tells its story makes it feel so different from anything close to this genre. If I start with the negatives of this season--there aren't many--it would probably be that the story with Tsukasa took precedence over scientific discoveries. That's not unexpected, mind you, it's just that it meant that Senku playing around with science and creation wasn't happening as often. I didn't mind it all that much, though, because the story was pretty intense and engaging, for the most part. So, one of my favorite things about this season is how emotional it was. Obviously, the brilliant humor of Dr. Stone was all over the place, but as things escalated with the story, we got to see how amazingly this series can do emotional scenes. I wouldn't say the characters in Dr. Stone develop so much as they are built upon by the story showing us new or elaborated parts of their personalities (besides Tsukasa, obviously, who has to get developed for the story to progress); throughout the emotional moments of this show, it allowed me to really feel connect with Senku and the other characters, so I'm happy those scenes were more frequent than in the first season. The story itself, in hindsight, was so interesting because of the way it ended. I won't spoil anything, but it did really well to open up the story to future plotlines. Even though the rest of the season was interesting as is, the ending almost justified everything up to that point. Also, I'll be honest, I didn't think Dr. Stone was going to be able to pull off this whole "being at war" thing--which was a big plot point at the end of the first season--but it handled the Tsukasa/Senku conflict in a way that both stayed true to Dr. Stone's tone and felt realistic for the characters. There isn't much else to say on this season, but I really enjoyed it. I don't think it was as entrancing as the first season, but I think the pacing of the story improved a lot, so I enjoyed it just the same. I'm extremely excited to see what comes next for this story because, in a world that's starting over from zero (no pun intended), there's no limit to what Senku can do.

great. I would have liked it more if the action animation was more fluid. While the hand drawn animation was mediocre I am grateful the it wasn't plagued with ugly CGI. Where the show shines is the science aspect of the show. The story is good but I think for all those who paid attention in your chemistry class you are going to love him talking about talking about science and chemical reaction. There are no ingredients that he can buy from a shop for his experiments. He has to make everything from scratch in this post apocalyptic world. That means from soil, plants and rocks. The show has a good antagonist, someone who wants to destroy science because science will be used to create weapons. I recommend it to all science enthusiasts. Looking forward to the next season. Looks promising. My rating: 8/10 (Great)

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars continues the brilliance of the first season with a unique and well-crafted story. The arc is intense and clever, with plenty of inventive strategies and science-based action. The art style and animation fit the adventurous and inventive tone perfectly, making every plan and battle visually engaging. The new characters introduced are well-integrated, adding depth and interesting dynamics to the main cast. All characters are well-rounded, with realistic strengths, flaws, and reactions to the challenges they face. The opening, as usual, is energetic and matches the tone of the series. Fans of shonen, adventure, and clever storytelling will likely love this season, even if they don’t usually watch anime.

Dr. Stone is back and it just keeps going strong. I said about the first season that it's one of those rare gems where there's nothing to complain about and it seems this is how the whole series is shaping up to be. Music to my ears personally, because this is quickly becoming one of the most engaging and fun anime stories I've ever seen. But before we progress science further, we must defeat an ambiguously gay muscular communist and his definitely gay eugenicist boyfriend. Let's go! The way the Science Team progress through the technologies continues to be incredibly exciting. I also love Senku's bold approach where he just goes "nah, fuck it" and skips like 200 levels on the tech tree to make something super advanced directly. And with enough effort and intelligence, it works out. Seeing everyone work together is pure pleasure and the high stakes and narrow time limit add tension to the whole ordeal. As things go on, we are introduced to more and more new characters but despite this, the mantra that all of them are amazingly deep and engaging and also have magnificent chemistry with each other holds incredibly true. It's a true testament to writing prowess that you can have a cast this large where nobody feels redundant or forgotten about and all interaction between any combination of characters is consistently fun. Dr. Stone is a Shonen Jump property, but honestly it doesn't feel like one and I mean that in a good way. As the name of the season tells you, this is a war arc and it ends in a predictably epic mass confrontation between everyone involved that is sufficiently epic and bombastic. And while there's more than enough hand-to-hand clashes to go around, you'd expect the big fight to end a war arc to have a lot more punch fighting and stuff, but this isn't the case. This is a huge part of what sets Dr. Stone apart - the battles are won more by wits, quick thinking and teamwork. In that sense, this war feels a lot more like a real one as it holds true that preparation and strategy have much more impact on the outcome than individual strength or pure numbers do. Even so, when the characters do square off in straight up fights, the action is stellar as always. The last few episodes were pure gas and gave us many iconic moments. Overall, Dr. Stone started strong and is only getting better. I won't go into more detail because it's just not necessary. There's so much to love here and there's something for everyone. You're doing yourself a disservice by ignoring it. I'm ten billion percent sure you'll enjoy it, so jump in now!

AhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Was this season incredible! I am not kidding when I say each season had me screaming by the end of it. There was so much tension build up, character development, and deeply heartwarming moments. And of course the humor that absolutely cracks me up (Personally after watching both I feel the dub is a bit better as more of the jokes land better for me). A lot of new characters are introduced as well and they are so much fun to learn about. One of the things I loved most was at the most intense battles, they made them last an appropriate amount of time. A lot of Shonen has the habit of making a single battle last like 45 episodes and by the end you just want it all the end. Not this show. They have it last long enough that you get to see what's going on while at the same time not so long that I'm going to get bored. If you haven't watched this yet, go and do it. You will not be disappointed in the slightest

"Dr. Stone: Stone Wars" is a remarkable anime that combines a thrilling adventure with a captivating scientific exploration. As a science enthusiast, I was impressed by the level of detail and accuracy in the depictions of various scientific concepts and technologies that drive the plot forward. The show seamlessly integrates science and fiction, making it not only entertaining but also informative. One of the highlights of the series is the interaction between the characters. Each character has a unique personality and set of skills, which come together to create a dynamic and engaging story. The characters are well-developed, and their relationships and motivations are explored in depth, making it easy to become invested in their journey. The animation and art style of "Dr. Stone: Stone Wars" are visually stunning, with vibrant colors and smooth animation that bring the world to life. The fight scenes are particularly impressive, with dynamic camera angles and creative use of science to create thrilling action sequences. The sound design is also noteworthy, with an engaging soundtrack that perfectly complements the intense action and emotional moments of the show. The voice acting is top-notch, with each actor bringing their character to life in a way that adds depth and nuance to the story. In conclusion, "Dr. Stone: Stone Wars" is a must-watch for any science enthusiast or anyone looking for a thrilling, action-packed adventure. The combination of thrilling action, captivating scientific exploration, and well-developed characters makes this series an outstanding achievement in the world of anime.

I gave Dr. Stone a 6 and this a 3, so you can probably deduce quite a bit from that. More so, my first take in Dr. Stone was how the first 5 episodes were incredible. You really could graph how I feel about this show in its entirety as a steady downward slope. I was disappointed by the ending of season 1. I came into this excited that Tsukasa would finally be relevant again: because the show was at its best when he was on screen... And that still didn't pan out. The writers just didn't know how to make him relevant again. Opting instead to just have a continuous stream of minor villains who were neither interesting nor important. Not only this but the show somehow became even less "science" the whole premise of the show. It just went full science fiction... which is fantasy and not science.

SCIENCE.....SCIENCE.......SCIENCE.......SCIENCE!. An amazing creation by man, believe to be present by the gods some declare to be as powerful as god. If you o not understand the above line, just skip it and read ahead; ignorance is bliss. This season was spectacular because a science lover like I [not boasting, really love practical uses of science] could be in awe am amazed by the rapid advancement and understand why it was so instantaneous. If some declare it not to make sense, YOU dONT KNOW SCIENCE. Remember, science was never given time. Time was given science. The world needed rapid development always, in all terms, but we have now come so faaaarrrr ahead we have forgotten what the true awesomeness and skill required for the invention of straightforward material and things in our lives were; THIS SHOW GLORIFIES THE OPPOSITE. It teaches us how the basic building bricks of science can rocket propel you to space at the right pace. If you don't like science, it's okay. It would be best if you enjoyed the plot; it's simple yet attractive due to its boldness to hold onto the singular point of planetary revival. That's all; it's a MINd BOGGINGLY TEN BILLION PERCENT A BANGER OF A GOd OF dYNAMITE 9. Take care, thank you for reading.

I never thought I would say this.. but I’m writing a review. This is simply to point out one of the best fucking animes I have ever seen. Like I am not kidding - simply put it was the story that awe’d me, from the start of the first season. The mild idea that the humanity was petrified into stones for 3-whole-millenniums and at one point they awakened, and have to start crafting the techology and the buildings back is so messed up. But it gets you hooked up, since it’s hell of a journey to take a ride on! But I’m not gonna talk about the first season, considering I AM writing a review under Dr. Stone : Stone Wars at this time. I have to speak up of the greatness and the betterness of the second season, as it suits my interests better - the conflict and the complexity of things. As it is obvious from the first season: Senku and Tsukasa are at war, or rather at an disagreement. Those emotions and misunderstandings of both sides unveil in this Stone Wars arc, it totally heats up things for the characters. The conditions of topics get more serious - as do Senkus projects, that’s why everyone is here for! We get to see more ideas, more formulas etc. To talk about the point of views of both sides - I may have to side with Senku’s ideal of the world. Everyone deserves a second chance, even if they are messed up in their own way. No matter the person - they may have been cruel, but everyone changes at some points. Well there’s my opinion on their ideals. Ofcourse with a new season, there will be more backstories, more emotions and the roots of the story of why that and why this - the complexity of the story tells us what we don’t know and pulls a big plot twist on us. That gives the anime more depth to live out for and gives us more purpose to follow this story along. I won’t be diving into the details because that may attract the urge to drag out the spoilers to prove my points. Also I gotta credit the amazing OPs and EDs, what gave a good sound between the clips of each episode. Honestly living for the catchy songs and visuals, no matter who says that it may be bad, you just gotta see the music and the visuals in it’s own light. Ofcourse I’m not saying to not voice your opinions, as I’m displaying one myself. I gotta mention that I also have never even realized that there’s music playing in the background in any anime, since I am focusing on the dialogue all the time, but as long as it keeps making the anime more watchable - I appreaciate it. The animation is top-notch (althought I still wouldn’t have rated it any differently since I prefer plot to animation technique). The characters seem fine and don’t have any problems. I am confidently rating this 10. Now, I am very against the idea of writing essays voluntarily (flashbacks to school). I am not very good at voicing my opinion or using the hard words so go easy on me for this chunk of paragraphs. Thank you!
Uneducated_Revs
Dr. Stone’s first season was a nicely wrapped surprise for me, it has a lot of things but what worked for me the most was its educational charm while entertaining you with light-hearted characters and comically focused situations. Although it never meant to be that serious or at least to some extent, the first season suffered the most in terms of development when making its plot more dramatic and when raising its stakes, along with the seriousness though it has a couple of pretty endearing episodes that if you’re caught off-guard they could easily tear your eyes a little, still it was a fun season that gave me some good laughs here and there and a generally good time. At the end of season one, it was teased that the next season’s arc will be the “Stone Wars” and I wasn’t that much into it, since it seemed that it will have a more plot-heavy structure, a thing that wasn’t the strong points in Dr. Stone, to begin with, instead of the whimsical almost auto conclusive episodes about silly and not-so-silly experiments. Surprisingly enough, S2 went almost full-on to a plot-heavy structure and sent the experiment aspect to a second seat, although at first glance this would be a bad thing, it turned out to be one of the strongest points of this season. Characters were more engaging and the story always felt like it was moving forward, all the whimsical and funny stuff remained but it was treated differently, more naturally merged into the plot as it should be to the point that the only one or two episodes that were more focused on science were among the weakest, this, of course, is a problem by itself as it shows how the anime still struggles to balance things out, still they weren’t that bad per se, so it is a minor complaint. By the third act of the story where the climax has its highest moment stuff gets a little predictable, more specifically one of its main characters has their arc unfolded with crystal clear clarity that it is hard that someone would be surprised by all of its twists. This development kind of stained some of the events that transpire in that part but it has some great and intimate moments near its conclusion. Dr. Stone maintains its entertaining and comedic aspects, and even evolved them from the first season, it has some issues related to keeping its stakes high and while it is still a pretty fun show it is a little more tamed in terms of comedy than the previous one. While I appreciate having a light-hearted anime like this one as a form of escapism to our less than good reality, what still keeps me watching Dr. Stone every two weeks (as I like to watch two continuous episodes) is its celebration of human development philosophically and scientifically. It’s pretty easy and pretty common for a story to send an anti-human message that “we are the real virus” and “technology will be the doom of us”, I don’t think that this way of thinking is baseless, however, if we’re capable of destroying that much with the technology we also are capable of conscious and ethic development, maybe I’m imprinting my ideologies but its anti-capitalist message of using technology to serve and save all the people without looking at their race, gender, etc. and not to empower just an arbitrary selected few hit me hard in the right notes, it is pretty simple, highly romantic and idealistic but I believe that this is one of the strongest messages of Dr. Stone. “If the Earth can’t support seven billion people, then all seven billion of us just have to figure out a way! That’s how science works!”

This follow-up from the first season is amazing! Each episode had me wanting to watch another - this was possibly even better than the first season, which was also amazing! The characters fit well into their roles and it is clear how much potential and how much more they can develop this story. I personally feel like there was a lot of wasted potential at times with this art style. When you look at individual blades of grass, you can see the amount of precise detail that these animators are able to capture... but sometimes, it just felt like there was room for this to have been even better, by the same animators. There is something about knowing that Taiju has the same voice actor as Saitama that makes his loud voice hilarious. The voice acting and sound effects were very good and realistic.

Review of dr stone s2 anime episode 11: Its now the last episode, episode 11, and its good! after they finally seized victory, even tho the only casualty was tsukasa, they were able to claim the enemy stronghold as their own.. so with that done, they all build their scientific base and began to make a freezer, in order to preserve tsukasa until they find a way to petrify him.. as the only way to bring him back to life was to petrify him before bringing him back to life, using the regenerative benefits of petrification.. thus begins their journey around the world, to bring everyone back to life.. well, the anime itself was filled with surprises and some twists, but the anime overall is really good.. anyways, i rate the anime a 5 out of 5 stars, 5 for story and 4.5 for art.. 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/talk.anichan/posts/2196500253817336
