Battle Spirits: Kakumei no Galette

Battle Spirits: Gallete's Revolution is a short sequel to the Dan Saga set centuries after and I guess a take on being a more mature card game cause we got bleeding and guns. And this is supposed to be groundbreaking cause our protagonist bleeds PURPLE. Thats right, this time our protagonist is the minority, purple blooded people have emerged from society called Mauves. And they are discriminated against, the cycle of hate continues and people are killed for it once more. Galette lost his father because of it at a young age. He makes friends with a fellow Mauve Valt Parks. And so this is their story as they navigate themselves through the hate as the Bearers of Light are called on once more. Let's just get it out of the way beyond the summary. You see this thing is 5 eps. This thing is a nice concept for a show, as a show in itself it is only really enjoyable for the card battles unless you really enjoy seeing guns and blood in a genre that usually doesn't have it. The new gimmick is dual sided Rebirth cards which are dual sided. Gallette is a Purple player, but his Rebirth card has a Red flip side, thus able to change his battle outfit mid battle into the series Protag staple color. Valt on the other hand is a Red/Blue guy. Despite all the seriousness, Galette's Revolution goes in a more magical transformation vibe with the battle outfit. Indeed though, they seek Mauves and the worlds rebirth for acceptance and ending of war. But yeah, for all this serious topics, this is like the plot of a 12 ep anime turned into a 5 ep with not even an ending but a cliffhanger, so like what was the point. Sure, Gallette end discrimination once more, can't wait to see how he does it. Hopefully theres enough time next series to do that.
