TLDR: The plot on paper is good the execution is shoddy. Still enjoyable to me as I am easy to please but don't expect any uber attention grabbing moments. Lacks seriousness, but very light-hearted if that's what you like. I think the whole premise of the story is interesting and intriguing on paper. You suddenly wake up in the video game you love not knowing when or why it happened, yet 30 years have passed and another friend of yours who plays was waiting for you the whole time. On top of which the other 7 players that you used to play with are missing which you have to find is another interesting storyline as well. These two separate storylines could be cohesive as finding more players not just the seven could lead to info about what happened and how everyone started living and breathing the game in a literal sense came about, but the episodes severely lack this. Even episodes that seem to pertain to the main plot points lack anything substantial in progressing the story. Overall, it is an anime that seems like the plot is really good and may have some interesting dark or serious moments but the anime's execution is very lighthearted and feels empty. As though, I was watching filler episodes.

When the anime started in its first episode it really caught my attention, its chilling with its unique sense of using background music its quite fun. However, when it reach the moment when they enter into the new world it kind of a let down, because I thought Dunbalf would be the only one who would be transported, I was not expecting that...... them would also actually be (i put dot because prevent spoiler ;) ). The reason I find this part let down because I am worried that its gonna diminish the MC effect meaning the OPness display of our precious MC. I didnt give up on the anime and decided to tag along longer with this anime. What was ahead really pique my interest. They are able to present the OPness of the MC really really well despite of all those ...... that also got transported. The fighting scenes also greatly improved as it progresses in the episodes. I really hope for a SEASON 2 since, our precious MC have more adventures to go, I dont mind tagging along with her, its quite a fun ride.

If you have seen this studio's track record you will know the quality of this anime from the get go. It's not good. The premise of being in a game, throw it out because it doesn't matter that much anyways. Also throw out the fact the MC changed gender. It's at best a gimmick for 2-3 episodes. Supposedly, the first episode is the most important part of any show because this is the time where you get the most eyes and this anime fails hard at that. It is the worst first episode I've seen. The setup is way too fast, then there's this fight of one bad CGI army and another bad CGI army then ends with a montage which seems like they ran out of budget. I will say, this gets better as it airs but a ton of people probably have checked out of this after that terrible first impression but it doesn't really reach "good". It's bogged down by the predictable fetch questing. Go to this guy and get something at this location. At least you get to see some okay-ish places. It's not beautiful but it's passable. Aside from the backgrounds, the 3DCG is pretty bad. It just sticks out like a sore thumb. Also, at some scenes, there's a lack of animation where I expect there should be some. I haven't talked about characters. To say the least, they're forgettable. The music is fine but misplaced at times. It ruins the atmosphere of a fight scene (first and last episodes suffer from this). This anime is probably one of the worst of the season with its subpar production values. It could have been decent if these things are fixed. If this is the quality that the studio is capable of, I think they should be relegated to a supporting studio until they get more experience. If you like the world here, you are better off buying the light novel or manga.

Just finished watching Kenja no Deshi and... ART Honestly, the animation was terrible and could've improved if they at least used decent CGI on the monsters and fight scenes. I get that CGI is used frequently on anime but they could've at least used CGI in a good way. But character designs were at least decent so I give art a 4/10/ MUSIC The music was the common and average fantasy music so I give that a 5. STORY I would've given the story an 8 if the isekai part was explained decently and if some parts were not confusing so I give the story a 7 since I still enjoyed watching. CHARACTERS I give the characters a 6 coz they're not terrible... but I don't get that impulse to love them like other anime like maybe Maid Dragon or Love is War. OVERALL Overall, I think this anime should get a 5/10 but the story was decent enough and I did enjoy the anime so I'll give it a 7/10.

Disclaimer: This being my first review there may be a few things that may be wrong and a lot of my views may not be unbiased and just on facts. Review: Overall thoughts: This anime is mediocre at best but it is not painful to watch. nor is it just straight-up bad. It is clearly a low-budget anime that more than likely is gonna be used more as an advertisement for the manga. There is absolutely no tension, some mystery elements that are poorly done, and at least some comedy elements thrown in that are also very poorly done and never really hit the mark. That being said it is also the type of anime that you can just watch in an afternoon and be fine with it. It is isekai trash basically that never delves deeply into any theme and thus kinda sucks at what makes any story compelling or even fun.
