"Who would believe in such a cheap emotion?" The first issue is that that arc lasted for so long. 50 episodes to get out of that forest would be acceptable if the environment was interesting. However, here, we are placed with 1.forest track, 2.the village, 3. Echidna's tomb, 4. the mansion and that’s it. The rare interesting scenes all happen in 3 and 4, the other places serve as placeholders. In fact, 3 is only interesting thanks to the tea parties, as in itself does not hold more value than a Windows xp saving screen. The episodes felt long and that is because they are. The studio decided to go on systematic 30-minute episodes. Overtimes were admirable in season 1 because they usually held narrative value and emotions (and cliffhangers). Here, the only thing that matters is what happens at the beginning and at the end of an episode. This is reinforced with the interaction between the characters which are .. pretty bad. For instance, at one point Subaru tells Garfield to believe in his friends (🙄) then the very next frame, he asks Emilia to let him handle Garfield alone and starts fist-fighting. In fact, every time Subaru opened his mouth felt like someone who was trying his hardest to sound cool. This leads to what Roswaal calls "cheap emotions". What is usually done here to make a character dramatic is to show a flashback of the character's youth with [sad piano music]. I do not think there is a single character who does not appear in a flashback. Even Elsa at some point starts one but is interrupted by Garfield who reminds her that no one asked. I do not need to hear about every character's backstory. That is lazy characterisation. Season one introduced a whole bunch of characters and most of them did not have to show me what happened in their childhood. The episodes being 30 minute long, it is reasonable to think that the quality of the animation would reduce. And indeed the fights do not make up for the dialogues. Take a few fight scenes of season 1 : - Subaru vs Felt, an unimportant fight, yet very dynamic which reminds me that Subaru is supposed to be pretty beefy (something totally forgotten afterward). The environment matters in this fight, Subaru uses a chair to defend himself and Felt her own shack against Subaru. - Rem vs fanatics, another minor fight, still each hit is packed with energy. When the fanatics throw a fireball at Rem, her skin is visibly burned by the impact despite her shielding. The scene is filled with tension. Not much to say for the scenes in this season. Every opponent: Garfield, Elsa and even the rabbits are content with standing still and waiting for the final blow. Tdlr : Overall a huge disappointment. Long and empty episodes, very slow pacing, inferior fights and weak characterisation. At least, the relationship between Beatrice and Subaru and the finale as a whole were cute I guess.

I love re zero season 1 and i think it's so different from any other anime let alone Isekai genre. S1 has really good animation, amazing soundtrack (i still listening to some of them till now since 2016) and the art were pretty consistent for what it is until it finished aired. Re:zero season 2 continues where s1 left off (they followed 1:1 to the novel) and so far its been immensely good, up until recent episodes. I think one of the strongest talking point of season 2 is how the author uses the Trial stuff in the sanctuary arc for a room for character development especially for the main cast. Not to mention the tension and build up horror moments in some parts of season2 PART 1 is really good despite they animating from home due to covid-19 issue. Few months later, part 2 aired, i dont know i somehow expecting part 2 to have abit better art and animation but the quality remains from part 1. I belive that animation quality is one of the biggest talking point of how mediocre it is and becuz of that, it lacks the power to convey to the audience. Spoiler alil bit (I bet no one cares about spoiler at this point) Emilia's trial was the most hyped part by the Light Novel reader and here i am staring at a long episodes of Emilias trial being so dissapointing given that re:zero's story always never misses. If only the art and animation done better i think i would rate emilia's trial much higher, but doesnt mean 3 mediocre episodes of rezero will immediately lower my overall enjoyement. Overall, If you liked s1, s2 will give you more enjoyment but if you dont like s1 why bother to watch it in the first place? to hate and give it a lower score? For me personally, i enjoyed for what it is only the last couple of episodes were let down by mediocre art that has less power to convey the story better. Animation and Art is part of Anime and is bound to have criticism. I am a big fan of the show and i wont let my bias held myself from talking about that part. Thanks for reading, keep watching your fav anime and stay safe during this pandemic. Cheers.

This is so far one of the best season of all times! The story of Re Zero is outstanding & is one of my favourites! The characters are very well designed, very colourful & rich as well. This is one of my favourite arcs in the series, it's currently the longest arc in the entire series but it also gives out so much character development & White Fox production never fails to cease me. The themes of Re Zero is very rich with knowledge & very complex with some realistic approaches based on the decision that Subaru makes like in a Visual Novel & I find it very clever as well. The opening is one of my favourite in the series & the ending as well. I am already looking forward to seeing season 3 but for now. I'll just continue reading the rest of the Light Novels until I hear the announcement of the 3rd season.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season Part 2 fall short off its excellent Part 1 for me. I don't know what happened to the quality of the dialogues in this part of the season. The thriller aspect of it being taken away due to a certain event in a story surely shouldn't affect the conversations flow this much. Re:Zero series has proven to be able to solve the problems the characters has just by conversations in its previous installments, but it felt forced most of the time here. Perhaps the constant use of "this character acts like this because of what happened in the distant past so lets talk it out" puts me off a little. The trials could've been done more interestingly but well I'm not going to complain further since at least it did its job in telling the story completely because these 12 episodes do really serve as a closure for the first part of the season rather than adding more major conflicts to the story. 2nd season as a whole weren't extremely impressive because of this Part 2. However for the development of a few major characters this season was needed this hence why its set up that way so I'll be waiting for the next one and see what direction will they take this series to.

So I haven't finished the last episode still a few minutes left but overall, I lost interest in this series. I didn't want to drop the last few episodes so I forced myself to watch it, no disrespect to fans of the series. Not one of the best for the series. I have no interest in watching the 3rd season, maybe I will pick it up after a few months but yea this was a hard watch for me. The story got predictable after 5 episodes, if your like me then you might not enjoy it but to each their own. Character development: 6/10 Story: 6/10 Animation: 6/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 Overall: 7/10

This will be a review for season 1 and 2. Didn't really know much about Re:Zero before watching besides the main girls names. The return from death aspect was definitely cool and refreshing at the start and while I feel it came to be both under and over utilized in different ways, it kept things at varying levels of freshness. Characters are pretty well written, especially in the later half of season 2 where a lot of them get fleshed out more. I think the first half of season 1 and the 2nd half of season 2 were the strongest, it got a bit dull in between but I'm looking forward to season 3 because it does seem like things are ramping up from here as things fall into place. I fel like the world building was a little barren but its been starting to expand on it more and more pieces falling into place. I'm hoping the anime keeps up with the quality of season 2 part 2 but we will see.

This is my very first review, so it'll be probably not be any good. But still I'll try to write what i think about this anime. For me Re: Zero is a very enjoyable show. It is a whole lot better than many other isekais out there, its a lot well written show with good characters. ADAPTATION: Now I've heard the anime adaptation skips a lot of material from the LN, but imo its an overall a very good adaptation as White Fox is a very good studio and they always try to produce quality shows as my favourite shows from white fox are Steins;Gate and Re: Zero. STORY: Now coming back to S2 . I think this arc was a whole lot better than the first season. Emilia's character development was great in this arc. I think in the previous season, Emilia didn't do anything remarkable but this arc she was a whole lot a better character. SCORE: Nothing to say much about the music, it was overall good with some tracks that are really emotional.

The only anime I would ever rate 10/10 in terms of the actual quality and not just my enjoyment. I love Re:Zero and its story. The MCs power is great in many ways but the thing I like the most is that it allows you to see the characters from many different angles in many different situations. Main bad thing I see about this anime is ,,Re zero is boring" although I personally find almost every moment interesting I can understand that point of view, some people would prefer Subaru overpowered but in my opinion its great to see something new not just some guy with hidden demon powers that just stomps the villain the moment he starts losing. For me the most important thing an anime is being able to bond with the characters and Re:Zero was able to make me do it perfectly. All around 10/10.

After watching both seasons, I would say this is one of the best isekai anime out there with awesome story and character. So many things to love it for but most importantly the message it conveys. I won't explain it tho as it's up to you to decode it the way you want. There are so many isekai anime with overpowered protagonist that it becomes cliche. But this shows that it can be even harder to live in an isekai world if you're a human. Even deadly. The pain, the sufferings and the gore are just right. The best thing is the anime is not rushed. It is at the right pace to build up the story and shows us the important bits. New characters are more interesting and everyone has a good backstory to support their character. All I want to say that that this gets me hyped up for the next season and all the new adventures and character that comes along with it. Thanks, Tappei.

I wouldn't say this anime is bad, it's great in general, but this part kinda sucks than the other ones. Let's start off with [Graphic]. Of course, like the other ones, this still maintains it's great animation. It's not masterpiece, but this still feels as great as always. The action are to the point. A little bit too to the point even. But I still liked it. [8/10] Now, [Story]. And this is where they f***ed up. The story is not as good as before. This whole season's story is too depended on the dialogues and monologues. I mean, it's not bad to do that, if it's done correctly. There's something missing about this season. The dialogues makes the anime feels more solid and heavy to watch but means literally nothing after that. It feels like you try hard to understand nothing. [6/10] Then, [Characters]. Well, not much to say about this than the characters kinda changes a bit in this season. That's, Character Development... I guess? But it just feels too unreal and sudden. Like, how wise could a man made someone who hates him become liking him by just words? Like before, it's too dialogue and monologue heavy. [7/10] Overall, this season kinda disappoint me. And it sucks for me too. Just, I hope the next season will be much better than this one.

I Love Re:Zero, shut up, I dont care what you say. Fight me. I enjoyed a lot Season 1, but if I were to chose, I would stay with season 2. I love the story, and the effort White Fox has been doing to adapt it is amazing. The animation and OST is fcking amazing, as well as how they hook you into it, and Tappei for making such enjoyable character development and story. I do not watch much anime, but I made an exception for Re:Zero, and I dont regret doing it. Overall a 10/10. So lol, recommend it.

If you're into lore episodes and can handle watching 20 episode arcs, sure, maybe try to sit through this. My initial reaction after watching Season 2 Part 1 was; "wow, I hope next season ends the current arc ends quickly, this is getting real boring." Unfortunately for me, this season dragged out the arc with episodes 1-8 being 99% lore/exposition. If I remember correctly there was around 60 minutes (out of the 4 hours in this season) worth of screen time dedicated to Emilia's backstory, and to be honest it was painful. Without spoiling- episodes 9-12 saved this season for me and convinced me to put it back up to a 5. If the whole season was as boring as episodes 1-8, I don't think I would've considered watching the next season of Re:Zero, and rated this one a 1 while I was at it. I fully understand that not every show needs to be action 100% of the time, however, 8 consecutive episodes of next to nothing happening to progress the plot is extremely annoying (keep in mind this is in the context of watching each episode as it comes out, meaning I had to wait a week hoping that next episode would be cool and then being disappointed). If you're considering watching this it probably means you watched seasons 1 and 2 part1, and you'll probably still watch this just to get ready for the next season anyways, regardless of if it's good. I also hope the next season is better, but we'll see.

I couldn't give this series less than this cause of my love with season 1 not because of waifus for sure but we got to see a new type of power return by death and the story was also good but this season i cant express how boring first 20 episodes were i even watched some of the episodes skipping some parts and watching some scenes in 2x speed because the conversations were that boring, the only episodes i liked were the mansion fight and when subaru met his parents other than that i don't remember any good episode which is praiseworthy.Overall this season was not memorable and mostly because of the conversations and not being the anime which it was known for.

Re:Zero has always been good, sure you can find flaws with some of the characters, and you might even hate them, but it ends up feeling complete every season and yet I still want more. Re:Zero this season had a lot of people confused at the intricacy of the story and that's not for lack of clarification but more how intensely deep the plot was. The characters to me were loveable and grew immensely, especially Beako, and there was real change for almost all of the characters in the show WHILE forwarding the plot with great production value. I mean, 30 minute episodes weekly with a great OST and visuals that sure, aren't anywhere near ufotable level, but are good enough for Re Zero. I absolutely loved this season and honestly this was one of the only shows I couldn't wait to watch every week and I recommend you watch it as well.

This season was pretty wavy, not gonna lie. I mean, I didn't understand the story as much as I would've liked to, but for the most part, this part of the second season had a lot of interesting stories to tell. Throughout this half of the season, you learn a lot about Emilia's past, and I think that was one of my favorite parts of the story. Emilia has a lot going on with her motivations and fears, and for a long time, I didn't feel like she had much depth beyond being scared all the time. Her character improved a lot this season, though, and it made the entire series more enjoyable. Emilia's backstory alone could've taken up an entire season, and I would've enjoyed it a lot because it was rife with interesting discoveries; the tone of that part of the season felt different from the rest of Re:Zero, as well, and I enjoyed it a lot. The other part of this season I really enjoyed that has to do with character work is the relationships that were built and that changed over the course of these 12 episodes. I hadn't really gotten attached to the characters in Re:Zero in the same way I have in other anime, but this season did a lot to change that. I really felt connected to the characters because they were having emotional realizations about themselves and each other that made it easier to feel what they were feeling. The story this season, like I said, went a bit over my head; that being said, there were a lot of reveals that made every episode really interesting. The developments within the story were happening really quickly, but somehow, it all felt like it had been paced nicely. That meant there was always suspenseful stuff happening, and I loved it. Overall, this season was really nicely done and had plenty of high-intensity moments. There's more to come, hopefully, because this season did not answer all the questions that were left over after everything happened. I hope I get to come back to this series because I'm excited to see just how intense it can get.

Hello everyone, and welcome to me screaming into the void part two. In all seriousness, the broad strokes of my Re:Zero season two, part one review can be applied to this part too. However, there are some unique criticisms of this part, so if you want, stick around and read. So, part two is technically better than part one and the first season. For example, the story has improved, but this uptick in story quality is temporary I assure you. I also think that the music is better here than part one. However, the art took a minor dip in quality. Even with this dip, it is still a very visually pleasing show. Unfortunately, none of these good things can compensate for the bad writing, and part two has to be stuck at a 6/10 along with part one. *Spoilers beyond this point* So much of my part one review can be aptly applied to part two, but there is one new development to discuss. You see, instead of the story flowing like a tin of cold grease, it now follows like a dump truck filled with gravel. Smooth from far away, but rough and jagged up close. For example, the Subaru and Emilia confession. Subaru took four times as long to say something that Rem said, but with less flow, more insults, and more repetition. A new realization I came to while watching part two was that Subaru does not really think over his actions. He develops plans, yes, but he doesn’t expect bumps in the road, or at least he doesn’t attempt to work through them all that well. Finally, a pet peeve of mine is when a show shows a character from the present in the past and they are in danger. This comes in the form of Emilia reliving her past when she met a witch and a Sin Archbishop. Emilia will be fine. She won’t die, get injured, or save her mother because we know that in the present, she is fine, and her mother died. I write reviews for other anime, not just Re:Zero, and in my Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi review I said, “Many unfortunate realities in anime came to light due to the pandemic in 2020. One of those being that some anime don’t look as nice as they arguably should have.” I thought that Re: Zero had escaped this generalized statement, and it had, for the first part. In this second part, however, small cracks begin to show. Less detail in faraway objects and people, camera angles being less dynamic, the dynamic ones are done quickly to make the animation a little easier, and shapes of eyes, scars, and heights change. The last strange thing was how bright some characters are. Take Emilia for example. There was a shot of her standing out in the sun, and I found myself squinting at my monitor because she was so bright compared to her environment. None of this is a deal-breaker of course, especially for fans of the series, but they are worth noting and critiquing. All my problems are the same as part one, except for two updates on Emilia and Beatrice. Because, ladies, gentlemen, in-betweens, and neithers, I am thrilled to announce that Emilia has finally found her character! It isn’t all that interesting mind you, but it is better than nothing! Not only did Emilia find hers, but Beatrice did too! Again, in all seriousness. Beatrice’s conflict is that she is being pulled in a few different directions that all require diametrically opposing, or at least very different, actions. Her love for her mother, her desire to live, her search for “that one,” and her love for her friends all have very conflicting ideas and outcomes. This makes the last three or so episodes not only watchable but legitimately good. It was so good in fact, that I wanted to see what new development would happen with her in the newest episode. This was a feeling I had only once or twice before with Re:Zero, and it took me by surprise. Something else that surprised me was how good this OP is. It’s a real shame that it only appears in two or three episodes. Again, all my problems are the same as part one, except for two updates. The first one being that there are quite a few stock sounds used, and I don’t recall them being used at all in season one or part one. The second, and more serious reason, is that the music is so loud. There are times when I had to focus on the dialogue, or it would have been drowned out by the music and/or the surrounding sound effects. I have my theories as to why this is, but they are too complex, speculative, and difficult to explain over text, so I won’t do that here. I don’t hate Re:Zero. I’m just disappointed. Re: Zero frequently threatens to become good, and honestly, all the pieces are there and ready to be dropped into place to create a show that’s entertaining, philosophical, clever, funny, emotional, and heart-touching. But, unfortunately, it never has. I will still watch Re: Zero in the hope that it gets better soon. And honestly, I am happy that other people can find enjoyment in this show, but I just can’t. And that is why I will continue watching this show. In the, possibly vain, hope that it gets better. In the end, the story, sound, characters, and enjoyment get a 6, while art gets a 7 for a 6/10.

Re Zero Season 2 Part 2 was decent enough, diving deeper into past memories and finding the point where it all began. I still didn't liked this arc much, maybe because of pacing which is quite slow. The animation was great (as White Fox always delivers) and the story was decent as well. Character Development has been hinted for Subaru in this season wherein there has been improvement in the MC and his overall approach. I am not much into Isekai since it bores me, but this was watchable. I would still give a go if further seasons are made for Re Zero (especially to watch the comeback of Rem)
GostarDeAnimes
This is so good. It's incredible that they spent the whole second season in just one space, a space different from the first season. This sounds so professional to do, which is so cool. I like that Subaru is moving the story just like a protagonist should do, although he's not a super great powerful character. And this seems silly, but I do like that the episodes are so long and without opening/ending most of the time. I do like OPs/EDs, but the fact that Re:Zero needed to cut this and make the episodes longer just to tell more about the story, this is cool! And also the background stories, there's a lot of story, all of them interesting. Anyway, So Good!

Re zero once again hits ts out of the park. More impactful moments, more great osts and insert songs, more insane lore, more of just everything. I won't mark this as spoilers since if your reading this review you have hopefully seen up through s2 part 1 already. But I will say, this season, and this second part as well has prolly elevated Roswaal to one of my favourite characters in the series. Not just that, but another few characters get insane development in this part. Eps 23-25 where just pure peak. I can't say too much else without spoiling, but I would highly recommend you watch this(if you do somehow need any further convincing after having already seen s2 part 1, and s1).
