Quite a rare piece of content for an anime, this is not just intros and outros, but interspersed with character skits of them discussing various slice of life situations, giving a sort of "post story", and just a bit more time with each of the characters. I have to complement the voice actors here, because it really feels like they were putting themselves back into the shoes of everyone. I'm unsure the order they filmed these in, but it's arguably some of the best voice acting work in the series. The isn't all that much to say about the intros and outros, but they are exactly what you would expect. If you haven't listened to them in a few months it's as good as it gets, but if you just completed the series I could see it being boring, and less of an exciting nostalgia trip.

YuYu Hakusho: Eizou Hakusho - Opening & Ending Encyclopedia is one of those specials created exclusively for fans of the franchise. It offers no new story, character development, or content that expands the *YuYu Hakusho* universe. Instead, it serves as a collection of the anime's opening and ending sequences, acting almost like a commemorative music video compilation for those wishing to revisit one of the series' most memorable aspects: its soundtrack. The concept is incredibly simple. The special gathers the opening and ending themes featured throughout the TV adaptation, accompanied by their original animations. It is essentially a musical encyclopedia, just as the title implies. Consequently, its quality depends far more on the viewer's affinity for these songs than on any other factor. For those who followed YuYu Hakusho during its original run, especially in the 90s, I imagine this special holds significant emotional weight. Rewatching these sequences likely evokes a powerful sense of nostalgia, as they are integral to the anime's identity. It is the kind of content designed to celebrate the work and allow the audience to reminisce about memorable moments through music. My experience was slightly different. I watched the anime relatively recently (about a year before seeing this special), so the nostalgia factor wasn't quite as intense. Even so, revisiting these songs was a very pleasant experience. Even without decades of sentimental attachment, they remain excellent compositions that capture much of YuYu Hakusho's personality. Another detail that shaped my experience was the fact that I watched the anime with the Brazilian Portuguese dub. Since the dub translates the songs into Brazilian Portuguese, hearing them again in this special offered an interesting opportunity to pay closer attention to the lyrics in a language different from the one I originally heard. The soundtrack remains, without a doubt, the highlight. Both the opening and ending themes feature striking melodies and a distinct identity of their own. They manage to convey everything from the sense of adventure and action to quieter, more melancholic moments, reinforcing why they remain so fondly remembered by the franchise's fans. On the other hand, precisely because it is merely a musical compilation, this special ends up being extremely niche. There is no new content, no original animation, or any material that justifies its existence for those uninterested in revisiting the series' music. If you are looking for something that expands the Yu Yu Hakusho universe or offers a supplementary story, you will certainly be disappointed. Ultimately, I consider Eizou Hakusho: Opening & Ending Encyclopedia more of a curiosity than a truly essential special. It is a simple tribute to the anime's excellent soundtrack and fulfills that role well, but it is unlikely to be memorable for anyone without a strong emotional attachment to the franchise. For fans, it might provide a few pleasant minutes of nostalgia; for those who have only recently finished the anime, It will be a pleasant experience, albeit highly disposable. Raiting: 6/10. A proposta é extremamente simples. Nota: 6/10.
