Ok my first review isn't even from a japanese anime but a chinese one AND GOD I have a lot to say about this one. This review is spoiler-free unless I'm saying otherwise (TL;DR at the end of the spoiler-free part) Link click is a supernatural, mystery show with our 3 main characters running a photo studio. To pay their dept they found another job, this job consist of using the two boys power to act like private detectives with the girl Qiao Ling pretending to be a witch who can travel back in time. The impulsive boy, Chang Xiaoshi has the power is to go back in time through a photo and takes possession of the person who took the photo and at the time of the shot for 12 hours. The calm and composed boy, Lu Guang has the power of, after he saw a photo, seeing what happens in the next 12 hours after the shot was taken. A photo can only be used one time. And just by that you can see the synergy between these two powers and the possibilities they have. BUT to prevent anything bad to happen Lu Guang imposed 3 rules to Chang Xiaoshi: 1: You have only 12 hours (seems pretty logical) 2: No presonal actions, only do whag Lu says. 3: Past or future, everything must remain the same. And it is on that third rule that the whole story is around, I'm sure you can already foreshadowing many interesting situations and don't worry about that because it is interesting. The quality of this show is good, I wouldn't say amazing but it is more than decent, Animation is good, OST is good with that opening and ending along with some insert songs are fucking gems, sound design is great (I love thls photo shot sound effect for some transitions) and characters/ backgrounds looks gorgeous and different from each other. As for the VA... Well it's probably because I'm not used to chinese voices but I sometimes feel that some dialogues are lifeless espacially in a dispute To end this spoiler free part, I will say that this show in the pinacle of chinese anime and you should watch it, Link click has the ability to hook you up instantly and fall in love with all of their characters, Be prepared for emotianal rollercoasters and insane twists because that's all this show is about. I have one odd comparaison that seems fucked up but has actually quite some things in common, it's violet evergarden, an episodic experience but shows a lot of characters growth and feeling attachement to them. We also see stories of people as an observator of future and the fact that it must remain the same is hard to swallow for Chang and it is heartbreaking sometimes but link click goes further than that even in the main plot mastering the art of the pacing and the cliffhanger and I'm gonna develop that in the spoiler part that starts now TL;DR: Link click has mastered the art of pacing and the cliffhanger the entierty of this show is calculated to keep you interested, it's the godamn masterpiece of chinese anime. ********* SPOILERS STARTS HERE ************ When I finish the first episode of a show I ask myself 3 questions : Was the premise interesting and can be interesting for more than 3 episodes ? Is the quality of this show is good ? (OST, VA, Sound disign, Visuals, Animation) Do I want to watch the next episode now ? And the answer to those question are YES, YES AND YES TO THE POWER OF 9000, honestly one of the best 1st episodes I've ever seen. (I'm gonna say right now that the opening is a banger) The show start very quickly, Qiao comes "we have mission, find proof of fraud from a financial director", instantly taking action, Chang is in possession of Emma the assistant of that financial guy. The show will diverge from this "spying to acquire intel" more to a "We are good guys, and we want to hell people" but for a first episode this is exaclty what we need to feel invested. Anyways back to the episode so he takes possession of emma and follows the instructions of Lu, who had seen the photo and whats gonna happen for the next 12 hours, he pinpointed the exact moment where he could see the intel without changing the past. Chang refuses the bastard advances and finished the work he needs to do to not change anything. Back to emma's home Chang notices the texts from her parents worrying about her. He tells them "I miss you" . The next day the meeting starts and it's frustrating for our boy Chang because the only thing that he wants is to punch him like a semitruck because I think we all know that he deserves it. But he didn't because he remembered the rules. After that an emotianal scene where the only thing emma wants is to see her parets after seeing that text chang sent. Chang that chang goes back to the present, mission accomplished ! After a few exchanges between the two boys, Lu opens his phone, Emma is dead, ending starts. Fucking masterpiece and that ending in addition to being a banger, works so well with all the cliffhangers, I can't stop vibing at this ending before clicking next episode. For the rest of the episodes, 2 and 5.5 seems a bit out of place but are still cool to watch, but for the other ones it usually follow this pattern, Interesting action/story part (10/15 mins) > Build up > Cliffhanger I don't know who directed this show but god he knows what he's doing. And the arc that are in their concept not very original but adds a nice touch of suspense with the powers, like why can we change the future without consequences, why winning instead or losing or saying things that souldn't be said don't change anything. Well BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL FUCKING DEAD AT THE END and completly baiting us in the middle of the arc. Or when chang can see his first try to save the kid while possesing the kid. Things like that keeps the viewvers interested as fuck. Now for the final episode. I love it isn't a strong enough expression. It's perfect, Final try for preventing emma scuicide (Emma's cause of death went to scuicide to murdered to scuicide again, amazing) mini recap of all the adventures they went trough and everything leading to a nice conclusion BUT NO, Emma is still dead, Qiao stabs lu, cliffhanger, ending starts, season 2 teaser HOW CAN YOU BE THAT GOOD OMG. honestly I'm so hyped about this. These cliffhangers works the best with shows like that why, because it's an original show planned with 11 episodes and no info on a potential second season so when tou arrive to that last episode, you think that it's gonba finish well but no, it's unpredictable which makes that cliffhanger feels 100 times better (unlike main characters """dying"""" at episode 6 and like "oh no he's dead, well too bad" and then comes back 2 episodes after (I'm talking to you JJK). One final word for this review is that I hope chinese anime like link click or Tiang guan ci fu will continue to rise and give people quality anime

I think this is the beggining of the new are of anime. I've watched many Japanese anime over the time. This was the whole new experience. I want to see season 2 and furthermore more good anime like this from Chinese anime industry. Just start watching. When you've ended, you will want to watch it again to feel the feelings again. Opening and Ending music are absolutely cool that you will want to hear time to time. Characters are so cool that you will want to imitate. Story is new, realistic and deep that you have never felt it before.

This is a masterpiece, pure genius. I really enjoyed Odd Taxi, but this one was even a level above that. Holy sheeeet. The opening and ending songs are dope. The ending, in particular, is great. The art is unusual, but it works. Some viewers might not like the art, but I dig it. The best part is the story and the characters. All the main characters are class. What makes this anime spectacular is the story. Normally, time travelling gets butchered. But this anime has limits and rules. The concept is ingenious. Various stories are interconnected, and the ending will leave you with bated breath. Quite a few episodes end with brilliant cliffhangers, and then that awesome song drops. Sheesh. The ending was lit af. I have a very particular taste. This anime is unlike any I have seen before. If Hollywood were to turn this into a movie or series with actors, it would be an instant hit. Odd Taxi and Shiguang Dailiren are a class above all the other anime this season. Shiguang has managed to get a 10 from me. It is that good.

It's been a long time since I've sat down to write a review; but Link Click / Shiguang Dailiren has been a powerful enough force on my life to where I feel as though I need to take some time and talk about it. Right at the top, if you would prefer a tl;dr, I give the show my full recommendation for a plethora of reasons - most of which will be detailed below (though will be avoiding some of the spoilery parts). It's smart, fun, compelling, genuinely exciting, and an extremely effective vector for conveying empathy for people you've only just met. First and foremost, the execution of each individual component of the show works in concert with one another - the storywriting, scenarios and characters are all being amplified by the well-executed art, animation, soundtrack and voice acting. It would be easy to see any individual part of the above faltering and bringing the rest down with it, but the quality is consistent and compelling throughout. The characters in particular shine with their emotive voice actors, great personalities, and emotional intelligence. Ultimately, there isn't a weak episode in the full season, and in fact, some episodes are so profoundly excellent that they deserve their own shoutouts. The first episode is fast-paced and introduces us to our characters, conceit, and overall plot. It has a lot of weight to carry, and it does so effortlessly - telling a really tight, smart, and intriguing short story within a single episode. It's one of the most effective first episodes I've seen in a long time (alongside To Your Eternity), and had me hooked immediately. It showcases how Link Click is, fundamentally, a show about empathy. By having our main characters essentially "becoming" another person for 12 hours, we are given a broader perspective on the struggles that someone we don't even know is going through. Not only that, but we are also celebrating the very relatable, very human things which have stuck with them from their past and are a source of comfort for them today. It is an excellent first episode, and in watching it, should give you a very good idea of what you're in for - especially the effective way they set up cliffhangers with the ending song. That becomes a recurring theme, and it is always so, so good. Episode 5 (titled "Farewell") is quite possibly my favourite individual episode of any show, and it exemplifies what makes Link Click so special. It is the conclusion to an arc, and by the time the credits rolled, I physically needed to take a break and go for a walk. The way it wraps its story up is masterful, and leaves you looking back on all of the dialogue, interpersonal relationships and actions taken which have led to the conclusion with new eyes, and realizing what the significance of all that came before truly was. It is profoundly difficult not to simply spoil what, how and why this is so effective; but it is absolutely worth going in blind and experiencing it organically. To try and convey it from a high level, it's the kind of episode which makes you reflect upon your own life, your choices, and how you treat / care about / love those around you. I could easily write up a blurb about every episode with similar reasons for why it is so strong and affecting, but for the sake of brevity, I'll say that the overarching plot which ties everything together is satisfying, and comes to a very natural boiling point. The overall mystery is compelling, and because you care about the main characters so much, it feels like there are true stakes - you want to see them succeed, you want to see everything be okay, you want to see them change things for the better. The only unfortunate part of this is the fact that the very last scene of the very last episode is a huge cliffhanger, but it sets up so much to come in the future. There is a lot to speculate about, clues to look for, and so many stakes at play. Despite all of this praise, there are a few faults here and there for sure. The pacing near the end got a bit fast, and some scenarios which seemed like they should have been given a lot of time and weight instead rolled by really quickly; but also, it kind of makes sense by the conclusion. The kind of thing where you realize "oh there are another several layers to this which I didn't even realize were going on," so while it can feel anticlimactic in the moment, it makes sense by the end. Also, having watched the show on Funimation, the translation / subs were often bad. Like actually bad. Several steps below tolerable, and actively conveyed incorrect information or sometimes total gibberish. Hopefully fan subs can come out in the future to make for a better watching experience, especially because the show deserves it. (Could easily go on a rant about why Funimation is just the worst streaming site / app here; but maybe another time) All of that being said, none of the faults encountered when watching Link Click were enough to take away from the overall experience, and the most egregious of which (subs) is something which can be improved upon independent of the show itself. In the end, I am left singing nothing but praise for this feisty and creative donghua. It punches well above its weight, and deserves every accolade I can cast upon it. It is in the running for my personal anime of the year (which I guess means I'm including donghuas now) alongside other greats like Odd Taxi and 86, and I will be waiting for the second season with bated breath. It's painful that it's looking to be a two-year wait, and especially with such a tense and intense cliffhanger, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless. Thanks for reading! Have a great day =]

This is the best anime I've ever seen. Everything the textbook says about good writing: setup and payoff, show don't tell, character development, world building, depth, stakes, this anime has it all. It doesn't give you all the answers about the consequences of the time travel in the story right away, but rather let's you piece it all together and arrive at your own conclusions as the story progresses and things are revealed. And if you are wary of how the show presents itself through the posters and art (or god forbid, the fan made content), don't worry, this is a serious story without nonsense. It's a Chinese seinen, and you will see some Chinese specific culture in it. There is a Japanese dub if you'd like to watch it that way though (but the names are all over the place). What else is there to say, go watch it. Just watch it. I know you hear this a lot, but just... ignore everything else and watch it. It's incredibly good. (hot take: no one is innocent in this story)

Ah, behold the enigmatic allure of time travel, one in which I am akin to myself, a concept so captivating it renders even the most astute observer dumbfounded. Such is the beguiling charm of LINK CLICK, a donghua that seamlessly weaves together action, mystery, and a healthy dose of tear-inducing drama. From the very first episode, I found myself ensnared in its cleverly crafted mysteries, each twist and turn leaving me perpetually on the edge of my seat. Oh, how it tantalizes the mind, keeping me perpetually curious and frequently catching me off guard with its unexpected revelations. And let us not overlook the artistry of this masterpiece. The refreshing and utterly unique art style breathes new life into the genre, offering a sense of originality that is both rare and refreshing. It is a testament to the importance of innovation, both in storytelling and visual presentation. For those who relish in the machinations of cunning characters, like those in Death Note, LINK CLICK does not disappoint. Its protagonists are as crafty as they come, and their plans and schemes rival even the most intricate puzzles. Ah, and what of the music, you ask? The OP/EDs are a veritable treat for the senses, each opening and closing theme possessing a distinct charm that is impossible to resist. I dare say, they are among the few that I actually refrain from skipping, except in the most dire of circumstances dictated by cliffhangers. Speaking of cliffhangers, they are perhaps the only source of consternation in an otherwise flawless experience. Their excessive use leaves me perpetually on edge, craving resolution yet simultaneously relishing in the suspense. In summary (TLDR): If you crave a donghua that is equal parts suspenseful, exciting, and brilliantly crafted, look no further than LINK CLICK. It is a journey filled with twists, turns, and moments of sheer brilliance—a true gem in the vast landscape of animated wonders.

It was just really good, I loved the characters and it wasn't overly predictable anywhere. Plus the animation itself is incredible I loved the character designs and overall art style. I found that the characters were all unique and added greatly to the story including the side characters. You empathise for them and I personally felt I was fully immersed in the world created. I especially liked the inner battle of the character seeing them confronted with these issues and how they dealt with certain choices they needed to make along with the way they dealt with choices made by characters around them.

You aren't ready for the ending... It seems rather innocent in the beginning. But don't give up. If you are confused about what's going on, and how this universe works, that's intentional. It works you into the story. Starts you off slowly, and introduces different concepts and characters that you should pay attention to. I will admit, it may be difficult to see where the story is going at times. The two protagonists are great complements of each other, and offer comedic relief at times when necessary. They do very much drive the story forward, and you will feel yourself becoming connected to them. The art style is unique and refreshing. I like that it's something different, while at the same time, managing animations almost flawlessly. It's not at the same level as AOT or DS, but it does things better than most. One last thing I will say, I loved the concept of this story. It's difficult to talk about this too much without giving away the story. If you enjoy mysteries and time travel, you will love this. This for me was a true masterpiece, no question. It kept me and my wife on the edge of our seats, so much so, where we were staying up late (with an infant child) to continue watching. (just wanted to edit to say that the ending song was an absolute banger, and fit perfectly ever time).

In 2021, I had covid, i was quarantined and opened an anime site to find something to watch to distract myself and OH MY GOD. The hidden jewel I found. "Oh, these two dudes look very pretty, and it’s about time traveling, I will check it out." If I KNEW HOW DOWN BAD I WOULD BE FOR THIS SERIES Characters Cheng Xiaoshi is the type of sunshine character who shines brightly, he is the protagonist, and dives into the pictures with the help of Lu Guang, the other protagonist. Even though Cheng Xiaoshi theoretically has more screentime, they don’t take Lu Guang's shine away. Lu Guang is a dude who randomly appeared in CXS and Qiao Ling's life, and they just kinda adopted him lol. I love these two boys so much its not even funny. Lu Guang is still a mystery, about who he is, where he comes from, etc. But he is still a very intriguing and interesting character. And about Cheng Xiaoshi, we know he is an empath (hes so real) and little about is backstory. I hope we can get to know them better in the future! (s3). About the supporting characters, all stories show so much humanity and pain. The supporting characters make you attached. Emma is still my roman empire tbh. Storyline Oh my GOD. It's CRAZY. I frckn LOVE the concept of time traveling so much so I enjoyed it a LOT. The fact that these two boys go back in time to help people is amazing and cute. I love the effort they put into every single character storyline and makes you feel as if you were in CXS' shoes. You REALLY empathize with them. The story also takes turns with cute scenes and the story too. It's not all pain and angst (well, most of it is tbh). Animation Its comforting, plain in season 1 but it becomes better in s2. It's extremely enjoyable tho, the colors, the background, the ambience... Everything fits. MUSIC MASTERPIECE. ITS CRAZY. THE MUSIC OF THIS SERIES IS SOMETHING I THINK ABOUT EVERY SINGLE DAY. In summary, if you like pain, go for it. Link Click is a series i have been hyperfixiating for 3 years now and i DO NOT regret watching it. Currently waiting for s3 :) Thank you covid, you changed my life (literally). You will fall in love with the characters, the stories, and after s2, you will be invested. trust! Definitely my favorite series, an underground gem.

I do not write a lot of reviews here - this is my second (after Nichijou, fucking loved that show). Link Click is one of those creations that stayed on my mind for a long time, even after completing it. I was obsessed over the ending and excited over the second season's storyline. The ED is one of the best I've ever heard, and it's fantastic how seamlessly it is integrated into the ending of each episode. Once you start it, you can't stop until you finish it; it is t h a t good. The storyline keeps its suspense, it keeps you on your toes, but it still manages to be a chill watch. It is heart-wrenching, but you find solace once you see yourself in Time Photo Studio. The characters are realistic, and Cheng's pain is portrayed really well. It is also interesting how the main plotline is not revealed until the very end; this made total sense to me because we are adequately introduced to the main characters and their dynamics through the side plots. It is also good that the donghua did not waste time explaining how their powers work on a fundamental level and how they got them. When Shiguang Dailiren shines, it really shines. It punches you in the gut with all the emotional scenes, which are depicted well, and makes you feel comfy with good dialogue writing. If you have not watched it, you should give it a try.

Story: 10 Art: 10 Sound: 10 Character: 10 Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 10 I don't typically feel compelled to leave reviews for highly-rated shows, but this donghua blew every other animated series I've ever seen completely out of the water. It is ABSOLUTELY incredible, and it's soul-crushing to see almost no one talking about it on the internet. So, without further ado, let's get into the review! This might be a bit long, so please bear with me. A short summary first: Guang Lu and Xiaoshi Cheng run a photo development studio. Though that may seem like a very ordinary and maybe even boring job, the two actually share the ability to dive back into time via photos. Together, they complete odd time travel-related jobs that are brought to them by locals while staying true to three rules: 1. Xiaoshi and Guang can dive into each photo for a maximum of 12 hours. 2. Xiaoshi must follow Guang's every direction. 3. "Past or future... just let them be." Now that I have the summary out of the way, I'll get into what I loved about this show. What drew me in from the get-go was the art. Man, is it stunning. When I first laid my eyes on the promotional poster, I thought, "This looks so different from any other animated series I've watched thus far... no way such quality is maintained through the show." I was both right and wrong! I guessed correctly that the series is not Japanese (it is, in fact Chinese, and hence a donghua, not an anime), but the consistency of animation quality is where my hypothesis missed its mark. The animation style is true to the art style of the poster, and I was hypnotized by it immediately. It's beautifully executed and a pleasure to watch in action. Not to mention that the opening theme and animation sequence immediately flexes on the viewers with complex animation of hand movements... it's a feast for the eyes. And speaking of the opening, the opening and ending themes are absolutely a pleasure to listen to. They starkly contrast and yet complement each other, and even though the subject explored by the opening theme is a bit on-the-nose, it's catchy and fun to listen to. Now, the characters! I CANNOT emphasize enough how much I love the characters in this donghua. I'm heavily biased towards Xiaoshi, but even the supporting characters are very likeable (with the exception of a few that I won't be mentioning for plot reasons) and well-written (yes, even the unlikeable ones). Guang and Xiaoshi make for a wonderfully dynamic duo; they work well together and complement each other's strengths and weaknesses very nicely, and as a whole, their friendship is natural and interesting to watch. Despite being nothing but arrangements of pixels with a connected identity moving across the screen, all of the characters feel like they could exist in real life. They're just... human. Also, did I mention how nice it is to see two people working together with time travel? I feel like it's tempting to make just one insanely capable main character when it comes to the topic of changing the future and past, but the fact that "Link Click" instead has two people guiding each other and working together is something that I really appreciate. When dealing with something as complex as time and butterfly effects, I find it difficult to believe that just one person would be capable of handling it. But I digress! The humanness is what I love about "Link Click" so much. Despite being primarily a drama and supernatural series, it tackles a variety of other genres: slice of life, romance, thriller... even sports! At its core, it is a series that discusses life as a whole and the human drama that, for us people, is its foundation. Every story in every episode feels real and emotional, and it hit me hard time and time again. I don't think I watched a single episode without shedding at least some tears. What's even more impressive to me is the plot consistency, and again, human perspective in relation to time. For me, "Link Click" 's nuance comes from its approach to the concept of alternate realities. It is within human nature to be skeptical, especially when it comes to time travel. "Just one tiny change wouldn't hurt anyone, right?" That is a question that Xiaoshi struggles with throughout the series, and it's a question that many of us have probably asked ourselves in relation to time travel. It's an honest, human question that I cannot fault Xiaoshi for exploring. When you're shoved into someone else's body and forced to confront their daily struggles and choices, it can be hard to resist the temptation to make just one tiny change for the sake of a better future. Literally anyone put in the same situation would probably make the same mistake. And yet, at the same time... sometimes, small changes can also lead to a happier present and future. "Link Click" explores both the beauty and horror of time travel. On one hand, there's the positive "what if", as well optimism for the future (and the fulfilling of said beautiful future), and on the other hand, there's cruel reality. "Link Click" balances both incredibly well through the human experience and it's absolutely amazing. Coupled with the well-set-up cliffhangers at the end of every episode, the result is fantastic. Long story short? Even if "Link Click" doesn't seem like it would be up your alley, I think it would be a MASSIVE shame to miss out on it. The characters are well-written, the plot fleshed out and detailed, and the whole concept of time travel explored with nuance. While watching, I never once thought to myself that something didn't make sense or was poorly executed, which made for a great experience. (I guess that the one exception to the latter episode would be the ending of the half-episode, but it's a half-episode and "Link Click" does so well everywhere else that I ignore whatever disappointment I felt watching that episode whenever I think about the show.) All in all, I hope this review was helpful and I can't wait for season two.

I watched this series on the recommendation of a friend. I had never heard of it before he said this show was dope. Wow, does it ever impress! The premise is simple. One guy can see the past captured by a photo and the other guy can jump into the photo's past-timeline. They can't change the past in any significant way, but they can gather information to help the present. The whole series is a episodic mystery, involving an unusual form of time travel. It is amazing! *** I did my best not to include them, but there may be some spoilers *** The last two episodes were extremely impressive and logically sound. That last episode, though, was INSANE. In all my time watching the show, I had a million theories for how it would end, but I never would have anticipated exactly what came in the last 5 minutes of the show. I'm shocked by the events but equally curious to see how they are resolved in the next season. My only fear is that the writers will take the series in a direction that is out-of-place for the series, with its heavy emphasis on human nature as the driving force of plot action. I guess I'll find out if my high hopes are well-vested in a year or so. (EDIT: The studio says 1.5 years of production time starting from August 2021, but that they hope to reduce it.) Now, for a simple breakdown of the overall rating of 9: Music/Sound (9/10) - Extremely fitting and apt soundtrack for the series. The OP is a bop and the ED is perfectly timed to accentuate each episode's cliffhanger. Art (8/10) - The art, though simplistic at times, is a staple of Chinese Donghua. The rough aesthetic given off by every room/set-space is gritty and cements the series in the "dark and dreary world" where the MCs investigate heavy topics, like murder, fraud, rape, kidnapping, etc. Characters (8/10) - The characters are straightforward, but I give the writers an 8 for their excellent development of the side characters' and photo-peoples' personalities, despite their relatively brief appearances. I wish that Cheng XiaoShi was not the only MC whose background was deeply explored in this series. I would love to know where Lu Guang and Qiao Ling get their drives from. Even after the end of the season, I still struggle to understand exactly how/why Lu Guang and Cheng XiaoShi came to be friends, aside from their same abilities. Story (9/10) - The fresh and gripping storyline might compel one to binge watch the entire season in one sitting. The worlds of the photos are brutally realistic, and each new mystery solved feels like an opportunity to explore a new world from an entirely different anime. There are only a couple issues I had with the story's continuity in the last two episodes, but that mostly stems from the sudden introduction of the new plot mechanic. Enjoyment (10/10) - When it comes to mystery and drama series, I tend to be a very picky viewer. If the stakes are too high (i.e. MCs are nearly dying every episode), then I can't relax and watch it. The writers of《时光代理人》do a perfect job of "balancing the stakes." The MCs have two goals, gather information to change the present and don't change the past. The stakes are the possible irreparable damage to the timeline. I can sit back all day without having to worry that my main characters are going to die every two minutes. I could watch Cheng XiaoShi and Lu Guang run through photos all day, because the stakes aren't physically deadly, but are rather a metaphorical weight on the shoulders of the MCs. Overall (9/10) - GREAT! This series is simply great. The mysterious drama is easy to watch and enjoy while providing enough intellectual stimulation to not feel like a Shonen anime. The detective work they do is wild, but the characters are generally very realistic. With a guaranteed second season coming up, I believe Link Click has the potential to put Chinese DongHua even further into the spotlight with other mainstream animations.

I was instantly drawn to this anime because of the artstyle and I didn't even know what the story was about. With that said, I think this was a great way to get into the series as I explored the plot together with the characters instead of knowing more than them. This is my first ever review on here, because I just have to talk about this to someone (& my IRL friends won't listen xD) So: The first thing you'll notice is the art of course. It's so well done in my opinion. The colours and the lighting in each scene is done so carefully! It supports the whole atmosphere of the plot in my opinion - it's relaxing but at certain moments it gets thrilling. The second thing that got me hooked right from the start was the Sound! The OP is so good and the ED really adds to the mysterious aspects that happen at the end of almost each episode! I can listen to the OP & especially the ED forever and wouldn't even think of skipping them! (I even made the ED my screensaver on my laptop because of how nice the animation is there too!) The one thing that made me stay was the story and how the characters interact with eachother. Normally I can sense a plot twist from miles away but with this anime, I got surprised by what turns it took in each episode! Rarely any anime has me this hooked and excited for new episodes, so I'd highly recommend you'd give it a try yourself as well! Especially if you love the combination of relaxing, thrilling and mysterious moments.

Super delighted to be able to have watched this donghua. It was absolutely outstanding in every aspect I can imagine. Perhaps the thing I loved the most were the relationships/bonds created as the story progressed. Very action-packed, a mystery each episode, and it left me with my mouth wide open each time. The music is very beautiful and it adds so much emotion to the donghua itself. The opening and ending compliment the series fantastically. Shiguang Dailiren/Link Click was definitely one of my favourite things that I've discovered this year. I'm really excited for season two and all the new adventures that'll accompany our lovely characters!

firstly, you only got 12 hours secondly, follow my lead and change nothing Thirdly, past or future.. Just let them be. (short review for people who get bored easily-spoiler free) - An interesting well made story (check) - different art and story style (check) - open-minded to different culture and language because it is Chinese (check) - A bromance/friendship between the two male lead characters (check) - Different case every episode serving the main anime plot. (check) people who are interested in linking the future and the past like me, would ultimately enjoy this anime. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (A bit longer review "contains minor spoilers about the main plot but not the events") A lot of anime have a great story but not so great implementation. This one is NOT one of them. They could get an outcome exactly similar to what I would imagine thinking about body swapping and solving cases based on that. I totally enjoyed a lot of messages about values and beliefs, like the popular do not change the past so the future won't get affected, women empowerment, friendship, family and so many precious emotional aspects. Also, I never watched a Chinese anime before. But I can definitely say that it is not going to be the last time. The only comment I have is that I felt like I am watching an animated commercial because there is background music 90% of the time. All in all, I loved the experience and the atmosphere of this anime so much.

Absolutely fucking incredible and time travel done in such a unique way - the animation is absolutely amazing and the sound design and OSTs are godly - I haven’t been locked into an anime or show as much I was for this in such a damn long time - not only is the story so damn intriguing and one that sucks you in but it is so emotionally heavy and something I just wasn’t expecting - after each episode it genuinely left me stunned - the plot twists and how everything adds together by the end is insane - I also love all of the main charachters and there personality’s are just so likeable - this is easily my favourite donghua and it isn’t close

Time Travel, Detective type, Thrillier…3 words that kind of sum up what the series is about. To give you guys more perspective, think about the game “Zenless Zone Zero” by Hoyoverse. They own a DVD shop that has hidden services. Link Click works the same way except they own a photography business with their own services. Link Click is something considered as “the hidden gem” sort of show. As soon as I read the synopsis, I immediately got interested. For the rating, one thing that easily raises its standards is its story writing and plot twists. The art is somewhat decent because well its a donghua, not an anime. The music IS AMAZING!! the background music fits the narrative, the opening’s catchy, and the ending song used as a transition is so impressive. Overall, I recommend the anime! If you came from watching BSD, Moriarty the Patriot (for the thrill and detective vibe) or Erased, Tokyo Revengers (for the time travel), I recommend this one!

I just completed an absolutely EPIC anime! It's the kind of show that reignites your sense of wonder and makes you feel like there's still so much amazingness left to discover. Here's how it hit me: Story: 10/10 - Absolutely captivating! Characters: 10/10 - So well-developed and engaging. Animation: 8/10 - Visually impressive. Sound: 10/10 - Really enhanced the experience. OP & ED: 10/10 - Instantly iconic! Seriously, the plot twists in this series were mind-blowing! I haven't been this surprised and impressed by a storyline in ages. And the emotions? They felt so real, so raw. I even found myself getting genuinely emotional during some scenes, which is saying something. If an anime can have that kind of impact on someone who considers themselves pretty tough, you know it's truly something special. If you're looking for an anime that will grip you, surprise you, and leave you feeling something profound, this is it. Go experience this masterpiece!

This is one strong donghua, and is definitely a worthy entry in adult animation. It starts out kind of slow, and I thought it was going to be purely an episodic adventure. But it's not. The writers spend the first half of the season doing a fantastic job setting up, and foreshadowing, what happens in the 2nd half and beyond. If you like good writing, Link Click has it in abundance. The artwork is solid and I found it quite pleasing. This might have the best animation of any Chinese production, although it isn't off-the-chain action packed. Still, it is very quality rendered, without a lot of the cost cutting measures you see in other Chinese animation. At first I raised an eyebrow over the characters. They didn't initially make much sense. But as noted, the writers took their time setting them up. As the series moves along, they come into sharper and sharper focus. Eventually I found they made perfect sense, based on their past, present, and future, experiences. It's so hard to not jump the shark with time travel shows, but this one is nicely done. It shows the writers put some thought, time and effort into the results and consequences of the characters' choices. Very little slips by, in the long run. These writers certainly deserve kudos for a job well done. A very able English VA cast makes a big difference here. They were well directed, too. As was mentioned, this series could have easily jumped the tracks, but everything was pulled together in a masterful way. This title is a snapshot of superb. If I was grading it, I'd give it a 95/100 for a solid A. I don't often do this, but if you make it through the first season I can't recommend watching the 2nd season enough. It's even better, as it pulls all the pieces together into a congruent whole. You COULD just watch the first season, and let it go at that. But you'd be sorely shortchanging yourself. Click on it

This Chinese anime or Donghua as they call it is really good, but my only complain is that the names are throwing me off! I have to keep a separate wiki tab to see who is being referenced. (Only Emma is the name I remember from this season). The only media with Chinese I follow is the Kingdom manga but they have separate Japanese names for everyone so it isn't that difficult to grasp. Other than that, the duo main characters are really good and the concept of photo-diving is very unique, the cliff hangers every episode gave was nerve wrecking. Highly recommended if you are diving for the first time into Chinese Animation, looking forward for Season 2!! P.s. Banger ending 10/10
