Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc

A Flamboyant Masterpiece to the very end. The anime truly adapted this incredible arc from the manga and somehow exceeded my very high expectations. I love how patient it was in portraying the aftermath of Mugen Train in the first few episodes and the quick build up really hyped up what was to come. The fight scenes were all very intense and elevated the manga's fights as a whole. As a manga reader, despite knowing what would happen, I was brought to the edge of my seat more often than not The animation and soundtrack are flashy and dazzling to see. Tengen's sound breathing was very difficult to visualize in the manga (at least in comparison to other breathing styles) yet the anime truly did elevate it to be as flashy as the character claims to be. The anime follows up on the soundtrack style of Mugen Train where the respective themes of the hero and villain clash with each other. The voice acting is simply breathtaking to listen to. You can really feel the emotion and struggle from fight scenes and during the emotional scenes. The dub voice actors will certainly have a tall mountain to surpass The story progresses at a quicker pace than it in initially did at season 1. You can really feel the growth of the main cast and I like how the villains, Gyutaro and Daki, are written, in the sense that they are humanized through their backstory but at the same time you don't feel sympathy for them due to the severity of their actions. Its a good change of pace from how season 1 would get you to feel sympathy for almost every demon they face. Overall, I would definitely recommend keeping your friends hostage and letting them watch this masterpiece of a season. Season 1 was good, Mugen Train was memorable but Entertainment District just brings a whole new perspective on what Ufotable's potential can be As of writing, season 3 has been announced and I very much look forward to how Ufotable decides to adapt it

Story This season continues where the last one leaves off. There is nothing groundbreaking or revolutionary though. You get a simple easy to follow story with some pacing problems. The main cast can spend several episodes fighting the villans with little else happening. The monologues during the fights really ruin the pace of the fight. It is amazing that so little can happen within the span of several episodes and this is an aspect of the story that made me lose interest. The humor is also very cringe, rarely funny and often obnoxious. Art The fights are beautifully animated. Art style is very strong as well. A visual masterpiece. Sound Strong production values in this regard as well. Opening and ending themes are on point as well. Character Ugh. the worst part of the series. There is little of note that seperates the main cast from other anime characters. Zenitsu is by far the most annoying. His complaining is rarely funny and just keeps going on and on to be point of annoyance. The characters including the villans get minor backstories, but they are one note and seem more tacked on than necessary. Even worse then it happens in the middle of a fight slowing the pace of the whole show down. Enjoyment If you like awesome flashy fights, then this is the show for you. if you want a more thrilling story full of twists and turns, then look elsewhere. Some parts were real boring and put me to sleep. I found myself falling sleep on more than one instance. Overall I feel the pacing and characters are the biggest problem with this show. It is very visually appealing and the production values are real high. Overall I think this series is okay and I enjoyed it more than season 1 of Demon Slayer. I still think Tanjiro is boring and Zenitsu is unbearably annoying

Something that I've been doing as of late, was watching each episode of Kimetsu no Yaiba anime alongside the respective manga chapters. It's something I've started to do ever since I realised how ufotable really do follow portrayed most of the manga content almost frame by frame. By that alone you can tell how amazing the anime production has been. Ufotable really outdid themselves. If you think that the first season and the Mugen Train arc had been adapted well and beautifully, this arc was even more flamboyantly beautiful. Every scene had been animated so well, it really felt as if the manga had truly come to life. The seiyuu have done a great job again, and I really love the choices of the seiyuu for the Upper Moon that made appearance in this arc as they really fit the characters well. The music score was amazing too... not to mention Aimer singing both the opening and ending really fit the whole festivities and elegance of this arc.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS This season would be best categorized as beginning slow and becoming fantastic towards the end. Don’t get me wrong, just because the second half of the season is fantastic, doesn’t mean the slower first half was in any way building up to its triumphs. ---THE FIRST HALF--- It’s just meaninglessly boring. I don’t honestly believe anyone who has watched this season can remember anything slightly memorable happening in the first 5 episodes, besides meeting another Hashira. Regarding the new Hashira and his 3 weed-smoking girlfriends, they are an enjoyable addition to the series. It's leagues better than the last Hashira we saw, whose only character traits were being a fire boy and shouting "Delicious" an annoying number of times. ---THE SECOND HALF--- The villains of this season are the best the series has seen so far. The way they interact, and fill each other’s weaknesses, as well as the concept of a sibling bond between demons, is fresh and fun. When the second demon arrived out of nowhere adding a whole new level of tension, and danger late in the season, forcing the demon slayers to up their game, is really when this series is shining at it’s best. Not to mention the animation towards the end, whoo-ee, I never knew colors could pop so much! Another plus to this season is the evolution the characters undergo after their training, having NOTICEABLY improved power, but more importantly; having a clear path for each character (except maybe inosuke) to further improve their power still. The only nitpick I have with the second half of the season is that too much time was spent with the female demon. Her power is straight-forward, and doesn’t add much by itself. ---OVERALL--- A fantastic addition to the series, dragged down by a lackluster first half. In spite of this, the second half knocks it out of the park, with the best villains in the series yet, along with exciting, and competent, power development.

Where do I even start with this one? Well, I just finished this show and I couldn't be more confused as to what I watched. Don't get me wrong, Tengen is cool, the animation is god-tier, but what I struggle to find is anything else. Without going into too much detail, this show is not meant to be taken seriously. It is a shounen through and through. Nothing special, nothing out of the ordinary, just a show about swordsmen vs demons. When they attempt to make it deep, they fall short and lose the potential for characters like Rengoku and Tengen by only giving them a few moments. The sad thing is, I like them more than the main cast. It's just hard to like them in my opinion at the moment when they are designated to their specific tropes. So why is my score a 6 if all I did was bash it? Well, I don't think I have been more hype to watch a weekly for the sole purpose of enjoying some high-quality fights. The main interest comes with the crazy animation and fights that this season delivers. Without that aspect, however, the show falls flat and I hope that there will be some improvement in the future. If you enjoy serious thought-provoking shows, stay far away from this as you will only be disappointed. But if you want a pure hype show about fighting and visuals this is the one.

Demon slayer season 2 has finally concluded and what a ride it has been. It needs not said that the animation and sound were of perfection, that is to be expected by ufotable. Every scene is deserving of becoming a wall-paper as a testament to what art can be when it is at best and made by animators that are fairly compensated. This season shines even brighter than any past because of the way our favorite trio and a flashy Hashira trough their team work get to show the best of their qualities and grow from each other. I cannot recommend this season enough, it is what all Shonen series should aspire to be. 10/10

I don't usually write reviews but I thought I would give my opinion on this (Spoilers ahead because duh) Demon Slayer Season 2 its what everybody was waiting for. In my opinion Demon Slayer has its ups and downs. The story feels generic at times and some characters don't feel like they have any depth. The animation is as great as what you would expect but that's the only thing I feel was consistently good in this season. It starts off right where Mugen Train left with Tanjiro and the rest being upset and all that because of Rengoku. So they all train super hard to get stronger so they can actually be useful next time and then they meet the Sound Hashira Uzui which is pretty nice but also kinda just felt like a reskin of Rengoku. So then they all get a mission to go to the Entertainment District because one of Uzui's wives went missing. They start the adventure get there dress up like women and try to get kidnapped by the anime so they can find the wife. They eventually find the wife and the demon who's behind all this and then the battle starts between the slayers and this demon. They fight her and Uzui decapitates her and its your basic battle we've all seen in Mugen Train and Season 1 but then her super powerful older brother comes out of her because they're like a package or something and he gets to destroying everything. So they fight and fight and fight a lot. Every character gets super injured and almost dies but then comes back does some cool attacks then gets injured again like 20 times. THEY DID THAT THE ENTIRE SEASON. Besides the training part and the recap in the beginning the entire season took place in 1 night. They fought the same people did the same sequence of cool action moves then getting injured for 6 episodes straight. Animation can't save how generic the story felt or how they just depended on animation so people didn't get bored and quit. Uzui THE NEWEST CHARACTER and a main part of the cast just had some tiny little 2 minute explanation about how he loves his 3 wives and his clans dead and his brothers kind of a dick. After the final battle they use the same feel sympathy for the villain tactic that's been done a thousand times before where they show how sad the backstory is and put some sad music with it. In the end I had high expectations for this season but the only thing I constantly enjoyed was animation. There's nothing to discuss about this season besides they just fought the two evil demon siblings. Its the same generic overyhyped show it was in season 1. It would have been better as a movie like Mugen Train because it was structured like that. Instead of Season 1 where it had actual arcs. This could have been much better as a movie and they could have just cut out 1 of the 20 different times Tanjiro gets his ass kicked does some cool moves and then continues to get his ass kicked and it would be the same. This just feels like a quick attempt to get some big profit because since this show is so overhyped and there are so many diehard fans that make it so profitable. The fight scenes get old fast and the episodes just feel the same every week. Ufotable just thought they could disguise a mid story with good animation and Daki's tits and considering its rating it worked pretty well.

Not as Good as Mugen Train arc for me but pretty damn good Art - 10/10 FINE I will give it a 10 finally, The animation actually cooked soo hard this season and there wasn't shitty cgi this season! Characters - 9/10 Zenitsu and Inoske are finally cool characters that I enjoy on screen, Tengen's harem is also pretty funny. Story - 8/10 Just a continuation of last season, not bad though. OST/Sound Design - 8/10 opening is fire, ed is cool and Voice acting is pretty great all around. Enjoyment - 8/10 Great season, Took a bit longer than mugen train for me but maybe because the first 3 episodes felt a bit eh to me. Overall 8/10 Great season overall.

Snooze fest. Sadly, my feelings regarding the movie have continued into this second season. First, as they did with the movie, they introduce a new round of characters alongside the main three, and the story revolves around them and their conflict. The problem with that is that I don't care. I don't know anything about these new characters, I haven't been with them for long, so when things are happening to them, it doesn't hold any significance to me whatsoever. I understand by helping these new characters, the main three and Nezuko are provided opportunities for growth, but again - it's not enough to keep me interested at this point. I want more plot, more development with Tanjiro and Nezuko. I want to see them discover more about themselves and their family secrets. Aside from that, I want to see much, much more with Muzan and the dynamic he has with his demons. Also, similar to how I felt with the movie, this was so drawn out. Why do the fight scenes have to be so tedious and long? It takes far too many episodes to get anywhere, and it leaves me horribly bored. I understand why people might still like it, but for me, it's not fun to watch anymore. Which, is sad because I really fell in love with these characters in season one, so I want nothing more than to see what happens to them going forward. But, I don't think I can continue.

In 2019, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba took the world by storm when its anime was released. In 2020, it happened again with the release of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, which quickly became the best selling anime movie of all time, surpassing even the untouchable Spirited Away. To some, it seemed unlikely to happen again, but, regardless of the odds, in 2021, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc came to the small screens, and, once again, become a sensation. As with any large successful franchise, this quickly brought rise to questions of if Demon Slayer truly deserved such success, or if it was simply by some chance of fate that made it the hit it became. A question that I believe has one simple answer; it does. To begin, the Entertainment District Arc of Demon Slayer is easily one of the greatest in the series. Filled with tons of character, mystery, and fights to be had, it’s the series at its best, exhibiting peak performance without fail. What begins as an ordinary mission quickly becomes something else entirely, and the evolution and turns the narrative takes in this arc are about as good as they get. Our main characters remain just as fun, lovable and full of personality as ever, and the characters newly introduced and given focus show their stuff as well. With the distinctive art style of Demon Slayer, every design is wonderful and fantastic-looking, making every character feel quite memorable in their appearance. As always, the show strikes a good balance of the over-the-top insane comedic moments and the more low-key and sweet, giving us a well balanced experience. And, regarding the art, the animation remains just as crisp and fantastic as always, giving us action-packed, smooth, kinetic battling animations to absolutely lose one’s mind over. The Breathing Styles wielded by our protagonists remain as beautiful a sight to behold as ever, and ufotable certainly held nothing back this season in terms of the off-the-walls lighting and effects tying it all together. It’s a jaw-dropping experience that still feels as if it shouldn’t even exist. Coming off of ufotable’s success, this season of Demon Slayer again brings a wonderful soundtrack in both its boppin opening and ending, as well as the music that fills each episode, both ambient and high-octane. The notable Classical Japanese motif returns in full force and, combined with the use of some musical leitmotifs at key pieces, makes this season’s OST a fantastic one as well. And mostly overall I think I would simply say that it’s a fantastically fun time, filled with laughs, action, and epicness aplenty. Getting each new episode each week was a wonderful experience as the story crept onwards in ways I didn’t expect. It truly made for a really good time I felt, and that’s not to be undersold. - While I don’t find them major deal breakers, it isn’t to say that this season of Demon Slayer is perfect either. For one, at least compared to the first season, the world evolution here is comparatively little, adding only a bit more to the existing features and not widening the scope much. This point isn’t entirely bad, as that wider scale world growth clearly isn’t the intent for this arc, but it remains a factor nonetheless if one is interested in that part of shows. An issue of more notable extent though is that of the season’s pacing. While the later sections of the season have a consistent and fast pace, the early sections of the arc notably drag somewhat. That’s not to say the content in those episodes are unimportant, but simply that they feel notably slower and hold less momentum than the later parts. As briefly mentioned before, I believe this season is (currently for the animated content at least) Demon Slayer at its absolutely best. The season makes the most of season 1 and the movie’s set up to allow its compelling plot to flow seamlessly forward while continuing the growth of our characters from those stories. As such, I hardly think it’s an exaggeration to say that this culmination of what Demon Slayer has done so far holds quality equal to what that title might bring one to expect. In conclusion, the second season of Demon Slayer proves an even greater continuation of the franchise, carrying with it all the greatness therein pertained. With a great and interesting plot, fantastic characters new and old, gorgeous and smooth animation, and a wonderful soundtrack, it all forms a great fun time, even if it suffers from some limited pacing issues and doesn’t do much to expand the world. I’d certainly consider it Demon Slayer at its best and absolutely worth the hype. Grade - A

I'm actually surprised to say that I enjoyed this more than I was expecting to. I don't understand the hype surrounding Usui and this definitely got off to a rocky start when he tries to abduct several female members of the corps against their will and slaps the ass of one (assault). It just wasn't needed and definitely served to set me against his character. Also, the character design on his three wives - they all have the exact same body shape and felt very surface level. I wanted a bit more nuance and depth there, but it was severely lacking. The animation remains Demon Slayer's strong suit over pretty much anything else, but I'm still not a fan of the art style and the story is definitely fights over substance. I just don't get the hype around this series in general when there are so many better things out there - I'm not particularly attached to any of the characters, and whilst this arc did have a certain level of interest because of the battles, the tension just wasn't really hitting me in the way I wanted it to either.

This season is a festival! Go watch it to celebrate Love the character design, good story, better dialogue than previous season, interesting screenplay, great animation, impressive action/fight scenes, convincing season climax. Sets the bar high for the upcoming seasons. MAL wants me to write a longer review, does it want me to write the script of the whole season. That's enough to describe how the season is. If you hate demon slayer, do not watch this season now , watch it later and you'll love it. MAL wants more review content. I don't think people should post essays as reviews, not needed.

One of the most overrated anime I have ever seen. Other than the animation, everything else is clearly mediocre. Cliche plot, protagonists, and antagonists. Cliche random powerups and flashbacks. Anyone who has seen their fair share of shonen would see that this show is unoriginal and predictable. I can only think that majority of the people rating this must be little kids who get easily hyped by flashy fight scenes and don't look for any substance. Below is just the above paragraph copied and pasted to fulfill the minimum word count: One of the most overrated anime I have ever seen. Other than the animation, everything else is clearly mediocre. I am tired of people rating this series a 10/10 and calling it the best thing since birth control. Contains spoilers This series is nothing but an overhyped normie show. All the normies who love it almost never talk about the plot nor characters and only talk about how good the animation is. Part 1: Animation and sound design. The only thing the normies get right about the series is the animation. It is full of high quality sakuga everywhere you look. The compositing is godlike as this is Ufotable. However, even though the animation is incredible and the fight scenes are well choregraphed, there are still some issues. The backgrounds do not fit the style at all, they are too realistic for the world. The fire effects in the background do not look like Rengoku's flames, they look like normal fire. The only other series which has real fire in the background is Ex-arm(this part was a joke, the fire just does not fit the world). I would not say the animation is the best I have seen, far from it. It is incredible, but the dialogue scenes and anything other than the fights feel so still and lifeless. At least they still a bit. The best animation I have seen from a show is Mushoku Tensei. It's animation was like crack for the eyes and everything looked consistently amazing. Including the dialogue scenes. The sounds sound nice and the soundtrack fits. It just has no banger's. Part 2: The story and characters. The story is the most boring thing I have ever seen. It is literally 3 pieces of cardboard and a chad fighting a demon and that's it. There is no deeper meaning or anything interesting going on in the behind. It is just a really long fight scene. Also some parts of the story is just plot armour. Like, Inosuke should have died from the poison. Him being able to resist the poison is actual BS. Also Nezuko going beast mode then falling asleep and then waking up when the plot needed her, was also there. During the story, tone is more inconsistent than the animation of Burrito. Daki goes from threating to useless hoe in the span of a minute, 86 times. The plot is basic so the normies do not have to think about anything and only watch the fights. There are so many inconsistencies. Like how does Tanjiro almost decapitate Daki, but wait he forgot to breathe. Just kill that dumb hoe already. Also how did they not die, they defeated many Hashira before. The group should have already died. The characters are still the exact same with no development. They feel the same and have no depth to them. Zenistu is still an annoying little bitch. There is only one character who is more than one dimensional. The sound pillar Tengen, or the absolute chad who also carries this arc. He has an interesting personality, motivation and goals. He is still basic, don't get me wrong. But for a side character in an arc, he's fine. Also the ranking system is complete BS and if it was accurate, all the upper moons should have died. Also since Nezuko is so strong, why did she not become a lower or upper moon demon???????? Some other things I need to talk about is the voice acting. They speak so slowly that I need to watch the episodes at 1.25% speed in order for them to sound normal. Also the op by the queen AIMER slaps so hard. 4/10 overrated as hell and has such a high score on MAL. This show has a higher score than Mushoku Tensei and Re:ZERO. 2 shows which are better in almost every single way by a long shot.
Endless_01
Quite entertaining but with certain flaws, which stand out especially after checking the history of the manga.... The 2nd season of Demon Slayer is a solid work of entertainment and action that reaches incredible animation standards, however, I think this is one of the points that blind the true background of the anime. Demon Slayer is 80% epic animation and 20% ''meh'' in terms of everything else. The story is nothing unique or remarkable, featuring tropes that have been done before, however, it is the lack of satisfactory execution and pacing that makes this anime look a bit bad. The story progresses quickly and introduces a large gallery of fascinating and cool concepts, but they are never thoroughly investigated and the subplots are left floating in the air, leaving a certain air of unpleasantness due to the lack of substance it presents. The characters are nothing special per se, presenting themselves as one-dimensional beings, rather stuck to their quirks or stereotypes. The few interesting characters are introduced with the least amount of time and the series constantly introduces secondary characters, which we only get to appreciate for a moment and then forget about them. Ultimately, another problem is the narrative dysfunction and the very rules of the Demon Slayer universe. Some things happen just for the sake of it; the protagonists change their power level from one moment to the next. While of course, the series uses time skips (it really depends on them) this causes us to not be able to fully appreciate the story. Progress feels rushed and abused. At this point I have to say that this series is, in a way, mediocre. It relies too much on its animation, and tries to replace solid characters with a gallery of romanticized emotional flashbacks. As critical as I sound, Demon Slayer is good entertainment, but I wouldn't consider it the series of the decade, the year, or the season. Finally, would I recommend it? sure, if you feel like watching a short season of 11 episodes, go ahead, it's not a waste of time per se; it's entertaining, has a lot of action and it's worth it with some good popcorn.

Minor spoilers, but no specific or unexpected ones. I can see why some people might hate on KNY, and say it's "carried by animation", but I don't agree. Tanjiro "reached his limit" like 3 or 4 times during the fight, but just pushed beyond them because "he's the protagonist", and "it's inspirational". I don't like it, it doesn't make sense for him to be able to. The main characters have good dynamic, the comedy is obviously very subjective, but I like it. Tanjiro's motivation for still fighting, or even being on his journey in the first place, is wholesome. In the end, KNY has an inspirational story, even if I don't always like the way it's presented. The art is obviously really good. The voice acting sounds good to me, I like both the op and ed. Sound effects fit, and the osts set the mood well. In the end, enjoyment is what really counts when rating something. I can see enough good parts about KNY to match it to my enjoyment, which is 9, overall very enjoyable, would recommend.

What can be said about Demon Slayer that wasn't already stated before? We all know that it's one of the most popular anime series since 2019, also that has one of (if not) the best animations ever made. It's worth the praise? Deserve all the sucess or it's overhyped? I'll try to express what I think of Kimetsu no Yaiba without being too harsh. Demon Slayer has a pretty simple story. Kamado Kenjiro discouvers that his entire family has being murdered on cold blood by some mysterious creature, that later on is revealed to be a demon, and one of his sisters was alive - Nezuko and now she became a demon after being infected, but instead of attacking other people like demons normally do nezuko can stay just fine without eating human flesh. And know, he will go look for a cure to his sister while he started his training to become a demon hunter. Season 1 has some random fights against the 1st Onis that appeared, some low level ones and 1 of the superior, too, that has included the epic episode 19 that is remarkable for the extremely beautiful moment captured by the GOD tier animation and the insert song that hits the moment just perfect. Before the end all the top tier Demon Slayers are introduced as the Hashira's. And the main trio was entering the train that was the place to happen the next arc (mugen ressha-hen). And now it's time to talk about season 2. They go on a mission to find out the location of the wives of Uzui Tengen, one of the Hashira's that were introduced before and also to fight and defeat an Oni that was behind some bad things going on the Entertainment District. The problem that I have with Kimetsu no Yaiba is that the story is not engaging, interesting or anything on those lines. I mean, sure, you can watch and follow the narrative with no problem, but everthing is so predictable that is really boring. When I'am watching and something is about to happen I already know what it's and I haven't read the manga yet. Also, I don't know why but the author has the necessity to explain every single point of the attacks, tecniques and moments on the batlle scenes leaving us the expectators only wondering: "Am I stupid? Because I can't even have the pleasure to analyze for myself without everything is explained of me." This is just lazy writing. I am sorry. The characters are very uninteresting to me. Kamado Tanjiro is the protagonist. He is honest, a loyal friend and a nice guy, he is so good that he wouldn't do anything different in any situation whatsoever, even if the context asked for some change of behaviour. He didn't change since the 1st S. On the end he saw the heads of the 2 demon brothers that were together the superior 6° Oni on the floor, they were discussing hard after being destroyed and when the old brother was about to say that he wished that his sister was never being born Tanjiro went to shut him up, because he was wrong, like??? what?!?! Why the author has to have the constant need to show that the MC is a completely good human being at any circumtances? It's plain stupid. There is no space EVER to see him as a normal person would struggle and conflict on himself with some specific situations. For example of a comparison, Gon of Hunter x Hunter is a brilliant character because he has a great construction and also good development. At the beginning, he seemed to be a peaceful and nice kid, but at a certain moment of the show, he was just consumed by anger, hatred and other intense emotions. He did things that were just crazy to see that I would never imagine happening. Tanjiro is a MC that never leave me impressed or surprised. He is always the same. Zenitsu is just as whinny and annoying as before and Inosuke is still the running crazy friend he was since the start. Nothing changed. I'm serious. The Hashira's doesn't have any screen time until only when they appear to go on a mission and when they have they die. Literally. What a sad thing. There is no time to connect and feel close with any of them at all. Uzui should have died but Nezuko suddenly could use a tecnique that cure and remove all the poison of him and Inozuke. Where and when she learned to do that? I don't know. She only knows and that's it. Well explained. :D Art/Animation wise, it's pretty obvious to say: One of the best animations of the last decades. Extremely beautiful, not even a single scene that wasn't perfect. Fight scenes were amazing and crazy good to watch, very flashy and detailed. Easily a 10 out of 10 here. Ufotable is carrying this show, I am sorry. The truth has to be spooken and accepted. Sound area: Very good 8/10. Some OST's are emotional and well fitted on the scenes. THE OPENING IS A BANGER. The ending is okay. But I think the soundtrack was better on the movie. Enjoyment 6/10: I could watch easily every episode. It's an acessable anime that I would recommend to anyone. Fights were very nice, dialogues were okay and story is nothing new. Above average but not as good as could be...at least for me. Overall: It's a mediocre shounen and overall an okay anime. I don't think it deserves all the praise and hype but I understand. The audiovisual of this show is just unbelivable. It's almost irresistible. There are better shounen and so much better anime out there. But if you want something easy and fun to watch, Kimetsu no Yaiba is for you.

If y'all think the District arc is one of the best anime arcs ever then you probably haven't watched more anime. I personally really disliked the District arc for its annoying NPC women, for the annoying character Suma, I disliked Daki as a villain, the humor was dogshit, and the flashback showed up way too late. Yes yes the animation is like a delicious milkshake, but that;s the same for the Onigashima Raid in the anime. I have caught up to Demon Slayer, and it is a mixed bad for me. And nope, the District arc is not my favorite at all. I have noticed plenty of praise for this arc, and even a few youtube videos "Therapists reacts to the District arc" and it;s ok if anyone likes the arc, but that doesn't mean that you have to bash the person who dislikes or hates the arc, like me.
patarokek
The overall is very good, Tanjiro makes friends along the way, exceptional animation and very bloody and complex fights. But what really bothers me is watching the same thing over and over. Every arc Tanjiro has to fight a demon that is way more powerful than he is and keeps winning every single fight with the power of friendship. I mean, it's a shounen after all but all of the battles last 4/5 episodes where Tanjiro keeps passing out and coming back like, a thousand times, then when he is almost dying he finds strength to be the one who kills the demon. Every single arc. And then, the demons has a super sad backhistory to make them less mean and more reasonable for doing what they are doing. It's a great show, but it lacks depth and originality

Frankly, I disliked the first season of Demon Slayer, and if you go back and read my review that'll be quite evident. I didn't quite dislike the Mugen Train Arc, but I didn't overly like it either. I was probably somewhere in the realm of indifferent. So, going into this, my expectations were pretty modest. I'm happy to say this wildly exceeded what I thought it could be and this is genuinely very, very good. The visuals here are insane. It could easily be a really high-end anime movie that one goes to see in theaters. I don't know of any series that looks better than this does right now. The pacing dramatically improves here, the action is fervent and the villains are super badass and threatening, both before and during the climactic fight, which spans many, many episodes. In many ways- primarily how good it looks, how hard they nailed the atmosphere and how intense and unrelenting the action is- this really is peak Shounen. This falls just short of a 10 for me because the secondary characters are still loud and obnoxious (though admittedly a LITTLE bit less so here than in previous seasons) and because of the wild, borderline offensively stupid conveniences offered up as explanations in a handful of instances. One that really offended me was a character who was gravely wounded casually stating they can simply "rearrange my internal organs", and therefore they're fine. Likewise, a different character managed to "stop my own heart" (and of course, keep fighting with a stopped heart...) to cure the poison they'd been afflicted with. Those moments made me roll my eyes because they're cheap and stupid, but if you're able to overlook that kind of thing there's a lot to like here. OBJECTIVE RATING- 9-10 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT RATING- 9.5
