A true masterpiece of the Pokemon franchise, this 20 minute rollercoaster is action-packed yet has a heartwarming undertone that teaches us about friendship and that hardwork can overcome all obstacles; in this case a toppled ramschackle playground. There are also light-hearted moments of comedy that will have you rolling in the aisles, hint: Snorlax antics!. there is no true villain in this short story, it is far, far too complex for that, however, some pokemon do generate antipathy from the audience. Namely, the houndor, however, in the end he bands together with his fellow Pokemon to complete a feat of architecture so magical that it sears the viewer's very retinas with sheer awesome.

LOL that was my first response whenever i started watching this. here i thought i was going to be watching the third pokemon movie and i got this twenty minute short all about pikachu and the other pokemon around the city they were visiting. i found the story of friendship and fun to be cute, heartwarming, and funny. not much else can really be said about it, this short side story is just cuteness of the pokemon series. it is one that features itself around the pokemon this time, not with battles and trainers. classic pokemon art, narration, voice acting all keep it original and enjoyable for fans of the series in the past. overall, this is not something to fast forward through when watching the third movie. take the time to watch it and laugh a little, enjoy it! i know this is a rather short review but honestly, not much can be said about this a twenty minute short other than it is pure fun and cute. i think anyone who is a fan of the pokemon series will find this to be enjoyable and worth watching :)

A simple special that ended up becoming known for the wrong reason. Even before watching it, one thing that caught my attention was discovering that this special went undistributed in some regions for a time, making it relatively hard to find. This sparked some curiosity about whether there was a major reason behind it, but, curiosity aside, the content itself is far more innocent than I had imagined. Like many shorts in the Pokémon franchise, the story sidelines Ash and the humans entirely to focus solely on the Pokémon themselves. Specials like this usually opt for lighthearted adventures, virtually free of major conflict, serving instead to showcase the creatures' daily lives and reinforce the series' classic messages. Here, we follow Pikachu alongside two extremely mischievous Pichu who constantly get into trouble while exploring their surroundings. Much of the humor stems from the Pichu duo's hyperactive personalities; they are always up to no good without a thought for the consequences, forcing Pikachu to step in and either help them out or prevent the trouble from escalating. The narrative is quite simple and predictable, yet it works well within the scope of the special. There is no grand adventure or serious threat to face. The focus lies on small, everyday moments, interactions between the Pokémon, and the cute scenes that make the special enjoyable to watch. Visually, it is a beautiful short as well. The animation maintains the quality characteristic of the franchise's films from that era, featuring colorful backgrounds, highly expressive characters, and direction that conveys emotion without relying on human dialogue. Since almost all communication happens through the Pokémon themselves, the storytelling relies heavily on expressions, gestures, and the musical score, an approach that works surprisingly well. The most interesting aspect turns out to be the message conveyed at the end. Once again, Pokémon reinforces themes like friendship, cooperation, and solidarity, showing different Pokémon setting aside their differences to help one another when needed. It is a simple lesson, yet one that perfectly captures the spirit of the franchise. Overall, it is a fun and lighthearted special, ideal for those who already enjoy the Pokémon universe and are simply looking for a few minutes of casual entertainment. It isn't a memorable story, nor does it add anything significant to the series' lore, but it succeeds as a well-produced children's short with a positive message. Perhaps I expected something more striking given the buzz surrounding its release, but ultimately, I found just another charming Pokémon-focused special. It is pleasant to watch, offers some fun moments, and conveys a good message, though it is unlikely to rank among the franchise's best shorts. Rating: 6/10. Nota: 6/10.

Pokemon meets Looney Tunes. This is how this movie felt.Of course they call it a movie but it's 22 minutes long.I personally would've easily watched a whole hour of this.It was lighthearted fun and wholesome all the way. Also quite funny.Of course,if they'd have this be an episode of the main show, you could've called it filler,so making it it's own thing was a smart call. But even if they did,i personally believe showing how pokemon live in the big cities is a very good change of pace. That and what shenanigans they are up to while their Trainer's not here. Honestly it's a hard recommend. Truly a masterpiece in what it sets to accomplish.
