Skeleton Knight in Another World

TW: sxsual assault and few disturbing scene The story is not that heavy, it's klisé just like the usual isekai anime we used to enjoy. I personally love it because there's no harem plot with annoying pick-me girl fighting over MC. There's no get-slipped-and -accidentally-grab-random-girl-tits type of plot. MC even find a main plot for himself in the middle of his journey: to find a way curing his body. I think it's nice since many of isekai stories don't have main plot, just wandering around collecting new harem. It's a solid 7 out of 10 from me: it's good to enjoy.

This is a pretty good isekai anime, but unfortunately the story is half-hearted and the MC is bad, this anime actually has the potential to be as good as Overlord, it's just that this stupid MC prefers to hide his power, MC has a tremendous overpower power but can't maximize/use it (reminds me of veldora tensura, only using muscle without brain, losing a sword duel against elf mom), if this anime story was made a little more serious maybe it could be equal to overlord, especially in terms of world building, from the beginning of the episode the story is only limited to doing small missions, and freeing slaves, after that, well that's it. even after saving the princess, he then disappears, very unsatisfying, one interesting thing about this anime is only the elf heroin, that's all, and indeed his character is very tempting to my lust. and in the final episode, I thought the one who would defeat the hydra was him, it turned out to be ifrit, so what's so special about this MC? there are many unsatisfying things about this anime story, the identity that continues to be hidden and not revealed, quite disappointing, score 6 from me.

This show... Is bad. But not for the reasons many reviews mention, though some reviews are fine. So I've been keeping tabs on the reviews for it since the beginning, and honestly, most felt overly against the show. Those talking about how the show is literally just endless sexual assault and rape and Arc saves the day, which I felt was disservice given there have only been like 2-3 episodes so far... Sure it wasn't the best beginning, but a story has to start somewhere. Does it matter if the beginning theme seems excessive? Not to me. I'd wait and give this show a chance. However 10 episodes pass and I see that they're not really wrong... The plot is always selling other races as slaves or for sex. There is that one elf in one town who lived there for 10 years and likes the town and is treated well, and that one elf marrying into royalty, but even I would say they mostly felt shoehorned in just so people won't go "Holy fuck this story literally has nothing else to it...", only barely ever touched upon. Those talking about Arc having no questions or wanting to go back home once isekai'd, I refuse to agree with. To get into a fantastical world like that, I'd totally let my thoughts of my own world rot in hell too. I wouldn't find our world something to fondly look back to or want to return. I will agree in that Arc is terribly bland. Even for a MC Happy to be in a new world of a game he plays, this guy doesn't have any motive or desires at all. Which I'm fine with if it manages to explore any themes properly, which is also something this anime fails to do at all. The plot gets excessively stupid with the last two episodes, as another guy points out. Leaves a sleeping/fainted Ariane to herself as he fights, bad move. Doesn't teleport to her when he sees the monster, why. Has the ninja girl show up to save her, okay, this is fine. She is a recurring character/teammate anyway. Arc looks like he'd have trouble with the monster horde, her clan shows up to kill all the monsters. Why? he can easily destroy everything with his magic. The clan proceeds to kill all monsters and fuck off into non-existence, not even trying to sop or apprehend the monster tamer. Place is crumbling, Arc proceeds to let the guy get away instead of a quick Move Point slash to kill him. SOMEHOW that guy had the time to escape from the place, but Arc didn't have enough to simply teleport behind him and slash him once...? Giving him teleportation was a mistake. Given his shield can tank hydra magic and his body armor can tank being bitten by it too, this guy could rape all the monsters alone. Why bring the ninja army for no reason...? Hell even if he got busy fighting and couldn't protect Ariane, he can just use his revive spells again to bring her back to life. There is literally no threat at all. World building is piss poor too. There are mentions of a treaty which if broken might mean elves stop supplying Magical equipment and rune stones. Seems Elves have a lot of good shit. Yet, they get kidnapped for sex and slavery alone...? Not one person trying to find out the secrets of the rune stones? Not one trying to torture for the location of a Magical equipment factory, or the know-how? Seriously? I've read way better stories which shows other races suffering for a myriad of reasons, be it to abuse their powers, their knowledge, history, artifacts, connections, revenge for the past, classic species/race discrimination, sex, manpower, whatever, not just one single minded lunacy like in this story. We don't even see them used as manpower here, they're supposedly sold as slaves and we see male captives too, but we literally do not see them EVER go anywhere or be used in any way. Sex is all the humans in this world know, apparently.. Even worse when the elves actually have some important shit. The one smart seeming thing I've seen in this anime is Arc looking through the keyhole to use Move Point to teleport in instead of using his strength to break the door and cause a commotion. Fights in this anime are also generally boring as hell. Now, Pros- Ariane is hot I guess, but even here I'd go with Echidna from Yuusha Yamemasu instead atleast. For what it's worth, the OP felt pretty extra and fun. ED isn't bad either. Otto Apocalyse's VA for the other Kingdom's emperor, a personal treat. That's about it.
Plk_Lesiak
This might be the most "meh" anime I've seen in a while. It's not terrible by most metrics and avoids some annoying isekai tropes (like harem, which is only present in most vague traces), but it also fails to set up a consistent tone or an interesting story. It tries to mimic Overlord's mature sensibilities with its violence, but doesn't really replicate the dark tone or high-stakes conflict. The protagonist is mostly annoying, more interested in fanboying over fantasy world than doing anything useful. I'd say I liked the female characters, but the main heroine, the elf, is slightly ruined by unnecessary tsundere outbursts. The plot is... Barely there, but at the same time there's too much location jumping and small events to make anything feel grounded. I don't remember anything about the first city Arc ended up in, most characters feel like a blur... There's just no personality to any of it. The elements sound good on paper, but there's no aesthetic or originality here to make anything stick with you. The production quality is okay... But some soul would also be nice. Far from being the worst isekai out there, but still very much skippable.

Potential Spoiler Story : Story basically start with generic approach like slayer anime (u know what i mean) when Mc save the day and kill bad guy. Man i see this a lot. Story rotate around the r*pe thing and slavery problem in whole kingdom with central command power basically Arianne. Then some random furry ninja who help them to kill bad guy. Also massive plot about succession problem (2 prince and 1 princess) when everyone literally plot each other. Just that, Generic right? yes, Boring? yes, Enjoyable? If you turn off brain because man, some part are not make sense. 5/10 Generic average isekai thing Art : The only thing good here is how smooth the CGI is. Art overall just like generic isekai anime. I give 10/10 so hard to animate CGI so smooth like that (see Arianne vs Arc battle at first meeting) Sound : No comment Character : All villain is same level as Online anime (You know what i mean). They are just disposable, 1 episode -> dead -> forget it. No much to tell what is villain objective is. This anime also fail to make villain actually memorable, this anime try to give back story about villain but still they are disposable by plot. Nice try but wont work. Arc is most generic isekai anime this season, No end goal, No personality, No desire. Basically just go follow river and died by river also. Arianne yea generic tsundere girl with massive melon, and again she is basically command every Arc move, nothing surprising, its also generic as hell. Furry ninja girl, no comment because she has less screentime, so cant judge it. 1/10 Fail attempt to make villain memorable and generic main cast Enjoyable : i rate 10/10 really fun to watch when turn off brain but at episode 11 basically i cant turn off my brain because man, its already pass my tolerance of no sense Overall : 5/10 Just overall generic isekai anime in this season. Its fun to watch when turn off brain but dont watch it for story, because u will be disappointed Do you recommended? Yes if u want something fun to watch, No if u want good story Do you want Season 2? No thanks, i prefer read this manga but story is generic so No also i rewrite my original Episode 3 review Thats should be all, Adios! My Original Review 9/10 at Episode 3 Story : Story itself kinda generic approach like the mc reincarnate to current world by sleeping and forget to turn off pc/whatever console maybe. We didnt get any info about his previous life or how can he reincarnate suddenly. Thats part kinda interesting for me. After 1st episode, Story i dont know author really like about r*pe plot thing because so far 3 episode u can see some r*pe scene (not r*pe yet but almost r*pe) at first episode princess almost get rekt, 3rd episode elf almost get rekt. Story itself so far very interesting because so far the only enemy in this anime is human, very rarely see monster, only 2nd episode and its work by human also. So far its pretty excited to see them Art : Not much i can talk, its just typical anime art Character : Character itself, i cant talk much because this anime more about action so they rarely talk to each. We have tsundere elf Maple (damn remind me with bofuri), ponta who like kurama from naruto and we have Arc who like Ainz from overlord. This is basically most epic crossover. so far Arc act like merc Enjoyment : Tbh its pretty enjoyable to see them, animation also so smooth, i barely see CGI involved here (but ofc cgi involve here) but still its top level (imo) Overall : i give 9/10 if they made it smooth no disaster i give 10/10, this is probably hiddem gems of this season. Also after watch this watch kongming, pretty vibe music actually hehe. Reason i tell you this is hidden gems, because noone talk about it and the isekai story take different approach with generic start Thats should be all. Adios!

This anime is like if a child (yes a kid) had an assignment to write an isekai, and didn't do shit for an entire semester, then busted an all nighter to turn in the assignment. Basically, take every generic idea ever and combine them into one show- except make it suuuuuupppeerrr boring. Right off the bat, this anime has a serious problem- and it's honestly one of my pet peeves; THE SHOW DOESN'T EXPLAIN ANYTHING. The MC? No explaination. Backstory? No. How do powers work? Never talk about it. Social standings? Shhh....no more talking. Speaking of MC- at the very least it answers the age-old question of what would happen if a dumbass got reincarnated with super powers. One of the worse MC of all time. This dude might be borderline retarded if I was to be honest. If you got isekai'd, wouldn't the first thing you do is check your powers/abilities? Right? See how strong you are- make sure you know how to control your powers. Etc, etc. At the very least....but naw, this idiot decides to do nothing. In fact, his goal is do absolutely nothing, but eat and sleep- oh yeah and tag along with a busty elf girl cause why not. The dumbest part is that he finds out he can use instant teleportation, which is mad OP. But he never uses it in a fight to his advantage (in fact he gets his ass wiped against a milf elf with a wooden sword). Actually, there are straight up some dire situations he just forgets he has this ability. I tell ya- this MC must've been isekai'd without his brain. The show tries to paint him as cool and laid back, or something. But naw, he just comes off at a brain dead moron. Okay, whew enough. So the MC sucks. What about the rest of the anime? Does it save the show? No...not really. The rest is "okay". I say that because I watch so many iseaki and I know people want to hate, but honestly if still follows the basic cookie cutter outline of an isekai. Is it enjoyable? Hell no. But does it meet all the requirements. Sure, it does. But it doesn't have any personality. It doesn't have a story. It doesn't have any ACTION. My god the action sucked balls. Lazy ass animation with the most generic ass moves. If you want to at least watch for cool fight scenes, you're better off watching water flushed down a toilet. I think the funniest part is that the show straight copies moves from other animes, but I won't spoil it. It even tries to go Game of Throne, but hilariously falls flat with it's "backstabbing" plot line. Alright now for some positives if you still want to watch the show. Ponta and the busty elf girl (forgot her name, you will too). That's it. People say this is discount Overlord. Please don't insult Overlord like that. If Overlord was half as boring, it would still be better that whatever this is. Anyways, you've been warned. 5/10 (average) only cause I'm nice and am an isekai geek.

The very first episode is a rape scene, a guy who is sent to the game and say's "this is reality" while doing the dumbest things possible and at the same time acting weak despite knowing how strong he is. I know this is a rip off from Overlord but the author didn't try to at least take notes from the good aspects from that novel. All we got here is a dumbed version of Ains Own Goal. The forced rape scenes we always see here are very unnecessary either, the main character will have to wait and let them get violated before moving in despite him having the necessary skills already to go against the enemies. He didn't even tried to re-evaluate how powerful he is and how much he would affect the world he is sent into. Also there's no threat that could go against him since he learned all the sub classes and classes beforehand. The last thing you'd think is why he is even a skeleton in the first place, it does not make any sense at all he could be a human and if it's just the avatar can't he just change? I'm so confused as to why it has to be a skeleton. Just watch Overlord.

This series is nothing special. I mean that in the most positive way possible. It does nothing to differentiate it from other isekai that have been created and continue to be created. The basic premise is similar to Log Horizon in that the MC wakes up in his game world, but instead of trying to get out or return to reality he simply rolls with it. The idea here is that MC does not really care about going home and instead wants to explore this new world and have an easy life while doing it. Characterwise, this show is extremely adequate to lackluster. The main cast is ok but quite small compared to other rosters. With only Arc (the MC) and Ariane (Main Female Lead) to carry the vast majority of this show as it is now, there is little in the way of chemistry or banter that elevates it to higher levels within the isekai genre. While a third character, Chiyome (the ninja) joins later in the series, the problem is too little too late as her addition to the cast does little to nothing to expand the chemistry and writing within the show. If anything Chiyome and Ariane go back and forth being the same character which is disappointing for a show that already lacks any significant cast. As a sidenote to the characters, the villains/antagonists of this show are easily the worst I have seen in a while. Most are introduced using poor tactics such as rape and slaughter in order to make the audience hate them but are neither a threat of any significance to the protags or used long enough to warrant ever being treated seriously. So in a show where the main cast is small and forgettable you have a villain cast that sucks and has no depth or level of seriousness to them. Great. This show is boring for those who want anything serious or even competent. It exists as another isekai that is mediocre enough to be enjoyed in the moment if you have nothing to watch, but is easily forgotten as soon as the outro plays.

A show best described as "Made by men, for men." which is a weird concept for the West these days as the "left" demands anything appealing to men to be demolished in it's deranged quest to purge masculinity from our culture. It is a standard isekai power fantasy so if you are like me who enjoys the trope but has grown tired of Generic Japanese Teenage Boy #3901 as the protagonist then you will certainly derive some enjoyment from it as long as you are craving this particular form of entertainment. The production, story and characters merit a completely average score of 5/10 in all honesty but the fact it is making far-leftist feminists lose their minds made me give it a 7/10.

Here in the final episode of Skeleton Knight in Another World we get exactly what we've come to expect—i.e., Arc laughing with joy as he shows off just how overpowered he truly is. In this case, it's him going pro-wrestler on a literal kaiju before summoning his own kaiju for some tag-team action. While there is little in the way of danger (even after that showcase of Arc's weaknesses last week), it's still a fun bit of spectacle. But the true meet of the episode comes not from Arc and his fight but rather from Ariane's as she and Chiyome take on Fumba. While we only get a few quick scenes of backstory for Fumba this episode, what we learn completely changes not only how we see him as a character but how he fits in to the story thematically. Up until this point, Fumba has been little more than a clichéd psychopathic thug. He doesn't respect authority, brainwashes and rapes women, and murders people without a second thought. He's easy to hate and is a completely dispensable villain. However, behind this violent bravado is a problem that's all too familiar for our heroine: insecurity. Thematically, Fumba is a twisted reflection of Ariane. Both of them are from insular societies, both of them are extremely talented, and both are starved for approval from those they respect. But here's where they differ. Fumba rebelled against his inferiority complex in the unhealthiest way possible. He came to believe that he was so amazing that his elders were jealous—that's why they wouldn't acknowledge him. This inflated his ego and made him desperate to prove his strength to the world by beating down others—especially those who looked down on him. Ariane, on the other hand, was suffering in the shadow cast by her sister and mother. No matter what she accomplished, she felt that it paled in comparison. But then she met Arc—a man with unimaginable power—who found her amazing just as she was. His very existence challenged the worldview that she had trapped herself in. Not only did he make her feel important, but he also showed her that humans were not all evil—despite her constantly being exposed to the worst humanity had to offer. Arc showed her that anyone can be a hero. All they have to do is open up their heart and help those in need. While Ariane doesn't know Fumba's backstory, she easily sees in him who she might have become if it weren't for Arc—a person seeking physical strength while lacking strength of character. And now that she has found that inner strength thanks to her adventures with Arc, she can see just how pathetic Fumba is. She knows he is a coward at heart and will fight as such. It's an easy victory for her—especially as Ariane has Chiyome watching her back while Fumba's twisted personality has left him without any true allies. This conclusion to Ariane's arc really serves to elevate this final episode by making it a character piece as much as an action climax. It also works as a great capstone to the series as a whole, making it her story as much as Arc's. All in all, this episode is an excellent ending to a surprisingly entertaining series.

This is pretty average, it is enjoyable 'enough' and it passes the time, but it is not great, it is not amazing. There is nothing truly new here, and normally that would be fine if well executed, but the quality is subpar. The animation is poor, at times it's just outright bad, the OST is pretty standard, except the OP which is this 80's style metal track that just sounds so dated now rather than sounding 'awesome' like it wanted. And the characters aren't given any real depth to them The story is fine, it does it's job and keeps some interest, but it feels like there are pacing issues, and there are definite issues with this in its tone, as it wants to be edgy at times, yet it also wants to be goofy, and that doesn't really work. and I can see why people make comparisons to Overlord and Goblin Slayer. This series isn't 'bad', it's just a poorly executed mess, it's badly made, not really sure what it wants to be, but there is some enjoyment to be found if you are willing to look past all of that I wish it would have better used its central premise, its main gimmick, the idea that he is a Skeleton Knight just becomes a background detail.

Little to None Spoilers. Isekai is like a vast of Sea, waiting to be hooked by viewers who usually like to binge watch shows, and once it hooked, it started to get stink. Story... I don't think there's a story to begin with. Ah yes, its Comedy show, but its using a trick of "He's OP so he do something cool and surprise the hell out of it" joke is quite stale lately. Arc is a 50% discounted Overlord MC, overpowered and also a real Tank, except his avatar is a Skeleton. And also he tamed a Spirit Beast named Ponta, who is very cute and yes cute. Ariane is main heroine, who's hired Arc after successfully rescue her from getting harrassed, and mission to find missing elf in the world. And since both had their own goals, they both start adventuring. And since this series went as far as going Diplomatic relation between this "human-girl" and "elf", i found out its kinda... boring and uninteresting. Soundtrack is... kinda forgettable but the OP PelleK is damn banger, but I am not really a fan of sound effect added in Opening Sequence. Since this is 2 Studio making this series, majority were Slideshow. And several CGI Arc were there. But yeah... not really surprising either, but its clean. I expecting more but I seeing some animation trouble on Last Episode so I assume this series is rushed to hell. And I can't tell whether studio wanted to be a bit "gore-y" or not. Overall... I don`t know, It looks OK but at same time, its Boring. Story - 4/10 Art - 6.2/10 Sound - 7.0/10 Character - 4.5/10 Enjoyment - 5/10

The opening is good, and the ending is a BANGER. The story is bland, i dont like how easy the problems are and quick they finish them. All the nice characters are overpowered, it is kind of fun watching them blast through a bunch of fodder. But after a while you hope Arc and the gang will face an enemy that can take them on. Even the final villain is dealt with a few minutes after the fight starts. I like Arc's personality, and when he is chilling at a bar or in a hotel, its always entertaining because of the way he interacts with both other people or his sidekick Ponta. i didnt care for Ponta that much, it looks like a Pikachu.

Finally one that breaks the mold. No shitty dense mc that can get a harem at a drop of the hat and some actual party development. Holy shit was a breeze of fresh air for isekai genre. I loved every moment of it was awesome, of course if more anime come out like this it will become like the harem isekai stale and boring. Every thing needs enough variety and this definitely checks all my boxes. Really hoping for a season 2 it deserves it. He is still a bit dense but i feel it rarely comes up only really in episode 12 does it show itself.I would also like to be able to see what his capability's are and if he's leveling at all, in episode 1 you can briefly see his stats screen but it's thrown away so quickly i do love stat screens so this is just 100% personal preference. Also wished the final fight was a bit bigger and a actual response from the guards looking at the hydra fighting it freaking fly's at one point and not even a mention or a scene..As a personal preference i love reaction scene's so so much and to me it drops the ball hard here but it's eh would be nice if it was shown but i also see that as a bonus because it doesn't happen often enough in anime IMO. I binge watched it in 1 sitting which i rarely do for anime these days, definitely up there with my all time favorites.

Skeleton Knight is an enjoyable isekai with a ridiculously OP MC that hardly ever faces hardships. Unless you're a social justice warrior feminist on a high horse or a tunnel-visioned sheep, you'll probably enjoy this. It has very little in common with other shows that happen to have a skeleton mc, except for being an isekai. The story is quite relaxed and adventure along the way is more important than the mostly forgotten main objective - which does not feature in the first season really. The music is fun and fitting to the overall feel of the anime. The animation and art felt quite smooth and pleasing though not exceptional (no weird CGI luckily). The characters that are introduced are entertaining and don't undergo much development - bad guys are bad and good guys are good - almost no "grey" characters. Some snowflakes might have a problem with how the anime portrays the seriousness of the corruption of morals that a skeleton saves humans from so if you're a sensitive viewer that can't appreciate themes and satire go watch mew mew power or something.

Story: I read the manga so I'm not going to be surprised with the dark elements present. If you are a bit squeamish, please just don't watch it. Also I never watched Overlord so I can't compare it to that. To me, the story is just a guy who gets into a game as his skeleton avatar. But that's it. Yes, he hides his appearance from most people. Yes, they are "trying" (Idk how often it gets brought up in the manga that I mostly forget.) to remove his curse. But, other than that, it's kind of a click bait. So if you feel baited from that, just remove the thoughts of him being a skeleton and think of him as an OP MC smashing bad guys with his companions. That's it. Don't stress yourself over it too much. ART: I read the manga for the design of the characters, especially Ariane. The anime didn't disappoint me. The colouring made the kind of dark themes the manga has lighter. They do use CGI, but that's a non-issue for me. SOUND: Good sounds, good OP and ED. CHARACTER: Ponta is adorable. Elf is tsundere. Rest are ok. ENJOYMENT: I enjoy it a lot. It's not far from other isekais, but I enjoyed this more than most of them. OVERALL: As mentioned above, you might expect something more into the skeleton aspect. And if you do, you'll feel click baited. If you're just looking for a fun isekai to watch, this is a good one. Thanks for reading my review and God bless.

Yeah it wasn't bad. It was better than the average throwaway isekai but in the end it's still something you watch all in one evening to alleviate boredom; only to forget all about its existance in a week of time. I suppose since I wanted to watch this since episode 2 I did feel a little betrayed but I should have known better. By no means is it a masterpiece but it was enjoyable to watch. The voices at the start feel a little off, like they hired some czech milfs to do some voice acting for a porno but it does get better to the point you don't realize it no more. Sadly you can tell that it had a relatively small budget because of the low production quality (hence the feeling of betrayal I felt) but i'd still give it a watch nevertheless if you have nothing to do and have that 'i want to watch a generic anime' feeling.
Starkle
Truthfully I'd give this a 7.5 if I could. I usually just rate shows on enjoyment factor even if the story is nothing special. Animation can also make or break things, but the animation here is nothing special, it's just good enough for what it is. Character plots don't do too much here but make me care enough. A lot of people compare this to Overlord because the MC is a skeleton, however the stories within the show share no similarities what so ever, so it's not a fair comparison as they are two completely different shows. As far as Isekai's, it's not bad, it's just good enough to fill that void.

*Trigger Warning: Slavery and R*pe* !Generic spoilers are included in this review! This show is your generic Isekai with a loser who becomes his OP Skelton Knight MMO character. It's an interesting story that has some political drama between fantasy kingdoms, elfs, and beastmen. Unfortunately, that's more or less the subplot of this show as most of the runtime consists mostly woman being attacked, kidnapped and enslaved, or just outright sexually attacked. The writer must have some sort of fetish for this or something, and it really detracts away from what this show could be instead. There's also a strange disconnect from all the graphical things with cliche scenes thrown in during the downtime. It just feels really off having wholesome and lewd moments and in the same episode people are getting sliced in half and blood is splattering everywhere. I honestly don't think I won't recommend this to anyone, because there are lots of other isekais that do gritty stories better and this one just makes you feel uncomfortable with how it portrays most of the women. 4/10

Skeleton Knight in Another World: otherwise called regular ass dude in another world, the fact that he is a skeleton has almost zero baring in the story, it doesn't even effect the main mc, as he eats and drinks like a regular human would, why make the mc a Skelton if your not gonna do anything unique with with it the story of the show is pretty generic, as nothing major happen, the whole show they just go from one castle to another saving elf's, the show does try to "explore" racism between the different races but this is done very half heartedly the animation is serviceable but they do re use alot of the animations when they are fighting overall this anime has nothing going for it but if you turn of your brain and you are bored like i was its watchable, i say its watchable because i only had one episode per week but if i had to binge it i couldn't
