Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers

Summary- Magical Destroyers will DESTROY your heart. Came for the girls development, left when it was ruined. Im not going to pull my punches here. Im an avid lover of psych. mystery and horror etc. And this anime just flat hurts. I grew to love the silliness and quirkyness of the girls. I accepted the cliche and niche otaku trope. But i couldnt accept the end or any of the major plot. I loved the characters and hoped for a nice resolution. Only for ragebaiting levels of denial and the erasure of their entire development to be given. Stop watching after you see what you want. Listen to the ost maybe. Its a banger. Im very upset over the loss of a good plotline. The gritty details Shortly before the ending the entire plot goes stale to spicy to stale again randomely. I got nothing to say negatively about personality for any of the characters. Backgrounds are blank slates and the mystery is "cringe". I thought they did well and got their goals to the finish line. But right before we get a promised rise to the top, the author has all the effort, progress, identity, stripped and burned like their otaku culture. Almost rage baiting levels of denial. You could leave the anime at a good note after their Wanku concert is over. I dont suggest finishing it or at minimum dont take it to heart how the twist reverses all the point of the story. I got invested specifically in the dynamic of the magical girls discovering themselves and their past or reason to exist. For them to have a climactic fight against superior foes. Only to be defeated and struggle to win despite it. Like a bleach esque fight. But. They didnt get that. In fact. The prize for winning was losing everything they were. All the personality. All the reason to like them. Not to mention the dark ending making everything meaningless. At the very. Very end. You get 1 single line. The catchphrase said a lot. Thats it. Make your guesses about what that meant. Infer what you can about the future. About how much the magic girls cried and suffered about their fate. Just for everything to end right there.

a deconstruction, of a deconstruction, of a deconstr- OK, but - throughout all the layers to this series, its humor and self-awareness make it one of the more enjoyable anime in recent memory. it's flashy, referential, spirited (and all to such extremes) that it is hard to look away at any given moment, because some small (but worth seeing) detail might get missed. it certainly has something, somewhere, for everybody, and so its a great one to watch with someone else/a small group. it's a polarizing one for sure, which honestly makes it all the more exciting so see it in its complete audaciousness. buuut all in all, regardless of where you stand at the end of everything, at the VERY least, it isn't an anime you will forget anytime soon. that's worth its merit, i think

Ich habe den Anime angefangen zu schauen weil die Beschreibung vielversprechend und interessant klang, da es sich um einen Original Anime handelt wusste ich nicht worauf ich mich einlasse. Ich hätte nicht viel verpasst wenn ich ihn nicht geschaut hätte. Story: Die Story ist sehr bizarr und random, mir kam es oft so vor als würde man auf Krampf versuchen einen Anime zu machen der anders ist das war manchmal schon sehr übertrieben. Jeder hat einen anderen Humor aber bis auf ein paar Momente hat mir der Humor in Magical Destroyers nicht zugesagt, die Comedy Aspekte sind schon sehr speziell. Der Plot Twist am Ende kam wirklich komplett aus dem Nichts, und kam so rüber als würde man jetzt unbedingt überraschen wollen..in der letzten Folge wird angedeutet das es eine Fortsetzung geben könnte, ich hätte mir eher ein abgeschlossenes Ende gewünscht. Ich habe den Anime eigentlich nur fertig geschaut weil ich nicht gerne Animes abbreche und zwischendrin die Hoffnung hatte das die Story vielleicht überraschenderweise an Tiefgang gewinnen könnte. Meiner Meinung nach verpasst man nichts wenn man sich diesen Anime nicht ansieht. Für mich ist "Magical Destroyers" der schwächste Anime in dieser Season. Charaktere: Die Hauptcharaktere sind die drei Magical Girls und Otaku Hero,ich fand keinen Charakter wirklich gut sympathisch oder unterhaltsam. Es gibt einige Nebencharaktere die aber wirklich so gut wie gar keine Relevanz haben. Der Bösewicht ist langweilig und hat eine ziemlich ausgelutschte Hintergrund Story. Das Charakter Design war ganz gut, witzig fand ich vor allem "Pink Chan" mit der Gasmaske. Animation: Der Art Style ist mittelmäßig,mich persönlich hat er nicht angesprochen. Die Animation war außerdem von der Qualität sehr inkonsistent. Musik: Das Opening ist sehr durchgedreht und verrückt, nicht mein persönlicher Geschmack hat aber gut zum Anime gepasst. Der Ending Song hat mir gut gefallen. Fazit: Ich gebe 3 von 10 Punkten, ich habe mich bei diesen Anime oft gelangweilt und darauf gewartet das die Folge endlich vorbei ist. Es ist nicht der aller schlechteste Anime den ich gesehen habe aber da ich kaum etwas positiv hervorheben kann und mich überhaupt nicht auf die wöchentlich erscheinende neue Folge gefreut habe kann ich den Anime nicht viel besser bewerten.

I think this anime has a very strong and obvious message. do what you love and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. I think the plot is pretty original as well. I feel like they could have created more emotion for viewers. I mean like creating a deeper connection to the characters and making some aspects/ secnes more tragic so that you kinda feel what the anime is showing. the art style was cool and I liked the character designs, they are the stand out of the show and add much more depth and uniqueness which most other anime lack. would give a 7.5 but its more like a 8 than 7 imo.
