*this user is tearing her own hair out* EVERYONE SHUT UP !!! you don't do this to one of most well made comedy isekai, KonoSuba is a brand and now you've ruined !! S3 doesn't exist in my dictionary. what have they even done ? i don't know if it's just how the LN goes ahead but it sucks....S U C K S !! the animation is so lackluster, it's almost eyesore at certain moments. but i can forgive that. the plot seems a little too strayed but maybe that's how the cookie crumbles. but i can forgive that. the characters have lost ALL THEIR CHARM !! Kazuma is no longer funny but annoying, Megumi ?? she is like a background characters, Darkness is no more that masochist adorkable girl she was...and AQUA !! MY BABY AQUA is no longer the snarky silly stupid funny girl...she is an alcoholic shadow ? WHY ....why so ? i don't know !! it was not enjoyable...i am sad because KonoSuba used to be one of those best made isekai-comedy but now it's legacy is ruined. I WILL NOT FORGIVE ANYONE WHO CAUSED THIS.

After 5 years, Konosuba is back and better than ever. While the comedy we know and love is present in S3, the biggest improvement is the story. Darkness is the focal point of the season and goes from being a purely comic relief masochist to a genuinely interesting and developed character. The story arc this season covers is in my opinion, the best yet and genuinely emotionally investing. While it’s a series known for its comedy and jokes, Konosuba can tell a good story too and this season proved it. After the long gap between seasons and the studio shift, a lot of people myself included were skeptical about the job Drive would do with Konosuba. Last year’s Megumin spin-off showed they were capable of taking the reins of the franchise and they followed up with a great season 3 of the mainline series. The charm of the series is still very much apparent. Aqua, Kazuma, Megumin and Darkness’ dynamic is as fun as ever. The biggest selling point this season was the story surrounding Darkness. As everyone knows, in previous seasons Darkness is kind of this dumb comic relief masochist who has the occasional cool moment, but for the most part is kinda just a meme since she lacks actual combat abilities. Don’t get me wrong, I loved that Darkness and she and Aqua went back and forth as my fave characters. But this season, I got to see a totally different side of her that I never knew existed. Despite her actions, Darkness is actually really considerate, thoughtful and an amazing friend willing to sacrifice her own happiness for others. Seeing all the things she suffers with this season in silence and how far ahead she’s been planning ever since last season just gave me such a newfound appreciation for her character and put her definitively as my best girl. The other girls definitely take a backseat in this season for Lalatina’s development and you’ll hear no complaints from me on it. Megumin recently had a spin-off and Aqua is too damn drunk to get a development, but the cast as usual bounces off each other really well. The banter, the silly moments, the over the top explosions and steal spells, they’re all there and well if you loved em before, you’ll love em now. You kinda know what you’re going to get from Konosuba at this point and it’s definitely not something for everyone, but I do whole heartedly think it’s one of the funniest shows the medium has to offer. Further on the comedy point, I will say though that this season has a little more screaming than I remember in konosuba. The gag is not really funny, but not the end of the world for me, but I’ve seen some people bothered by it and even writing think pieces on it, so just be aware that is a thing. Production wise Drive haven’t missed a beat. Feels like a perfect continuation of Studio DEEN and honestly an upgrade in many respects. Biggest praise I can give is that you can’t even tell a new studio is doing the show. By now you know what you’re getting with Konosuba comedy wise and it’s very much confident in its humour. But story wise this is the best it’s ever been. If you’ve ever watched the show and wanted a little more out of it narratively, I think you’ll be quite satisfied here. I’m just happy to have this show back. konosuba season 3 gets a very easy 10 out of 10

Pros : Characters are still lovable, funny, and remained the same throughout the years. Cons : This season felt boring to watch , in comparison to the other seasons. Much slower pacing, scenes weren't as exciting mainly. Lot more dialogue. The jokes / screaming got stale and lost its impact the more it happened. The animation was quite worse compared to the other seasons. Music / Comedy also significantly fell off. There were a couple funny scenes but it was not consistent. I would have dropped this show easily if it was not Konosuba. Really enjoyed the first seasons due to the characters but this season was not it.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 3 maintains the strengths seen in its predecessors. The character interactions continue to be a highlight, brimming with humorous moments that enhance the viewing experience. However, there is a noticeable decline in animation quality and slight alterations in character designs, though these do not significantly detract from the series' appeal. The primary concern lies in its adherence to the established formula of previous seasons: characters show minimal growth, the overarching narrative remains static, and their ultimate objective seems no closer. The initial episodes attempt to shake things up by introducing new characters and a fresh plot device meant to drive progression. Unfortunately, these efforts are undermined in the latter part of the season, which revisits resolved storylines and recycles many previous jokes and comedic scenarios. Fans of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! will likely find comfort in the third season's familiar charm. However, those anticipating narrative progression may find it disappointing, and some viewers may perceive its humor as repetitive and lacking inspiration.

Note: This will cover the whole franchise up until now, I don’t find much to say for each entry as a whole. Somehow, KonoSuba stormed the world 8 YEARS AGO through some gifs and shorts as the most hilarious anime ever, and obviously that ended up attracting some haters later on. Personally I think of it as “haha funny” the anime, I don’t remember enjoying the first season much, but every major entry afterwards always got some smiles and chuckles out of me, and for me, that’s all I ask for when watching comedies. The plot is the typical of a light novel isekai, otaku/geek/neet guy dies, gets transported to a medieval fantasy type of world that conveniently for him functions like an RPG, meets lots of girls which he forms a party and/or friendships with, and battles against a Demon Lord and his army. The difference is its comical, almost parody kind of a approach to it, the protagonist is the opposite to the shy and kind white knights of the genre that are around since the 2010s, he is a pervert and lives off everyone at his first chance, and doesn’t mind throwing hands at women if he feels the situation calls for. He is a 90s protagonist in an era full of main characters that belong 20 or 30 years in the future. And the best part is how, unlike other worse protagonists in that regard like Rubeus or Meliodas, he always catches shit for that and has to pay for all the shit he does in one way or another, nobody sees Kazuma as a white knight in a shiny armor because he isn’t. Not that he doesn’t has his good points, as he is also not overpowered and always has to come out with some ridiculous plan and improvise on the fly while making use of the abilities of his much more powerful female companions to get stuff done. Expectedly, things rarely goes their way and he has to do more and different stuff in the middle of the situation they try to fix, usually causing a lot of trouble that does get punished. The same thing applies to his party, the female characters, which, yeah, are a big part of the reason why the anime is popular in the first place. They are cute and fit a stereotype but also become memorable for being reverse parodies of the roles they are supposed to fit. -Aqua the goddess and archpriest/mage of the party, probably the most powerful creature in the whole world with a vast amount of different useful spells, and yet instead of the wise and more experienced character, is the dumbest and often useless because of bad compatibility against their enemies, plus she is lazy, an alcoholic, childish, and always waste money. -Megumin is another wizard with tremendous destructive power in the party and instead of a wise an experienced old man or woman, is a little chuunibyou girl (despite actually having powers) and only focuses on one single spell to master it, that lets her show off in front of everyone and be remembered by them because of that, she becomes completely useless after just one cast of her only spell. -Lalatina Dustiness Ford, nicknamed Darkness for reasons I can’t pretend I care to remember, a noble knight/paladin that, even though she shows her etiquette in front of other nobles, in reality is everything but classy, she is clumsy and possibly the biggest pervert in the whole show, with masochistic tendencies. She is also the tank of the party and even though she is referred by others as muscular, her design doesn’t reflect that one bit, she looks like just another girl. Plus she is a terrible fighter and that is part of the joke, she is the tank but a terrible fighter and masochistic, you see. So basically the whole gimmick of the main characters, and by extension the whole show, is that the gang that is supposed to be the promise and hope to save the world from the big bad that threatens everyone, are just a bunch of idiots that constantly fuck up even when they do achieve something, and bounce off each other and thus become lovable for the audience, but would be very irritating to actually have nearby. Same thing applies to the rest of the characters, the secondary characters friends of the main cast are good at almost everything and lovable, but are otherwise dumb and terrible at very specific things and thus always mess up. The enemies, generals of the demon army, are there just because they have to but more often than not mean no harm, that’s why they either become friends with the main party after they are defeated, in a fighting shounen-like fashion, or only get on the offense after the good guys attacked them first. Thus once again, the problems happen because of the heroes fucking up. The extension of the joke is how the world works mostly differently from Kazuma’s expectations of the fantasy worlds and otaku stereotypes he is used to. Typically weak enemies can be very hard to deal with, the strongest creatures attract lots of enemies they are weak against, no one has the personality he expects them to, everyone constantly messes up, and hell, even the most normal person in the world, YunYun, is always lonely because she is normal and not an idiot like everyone else. And that’s the joke, the show is called something like “Bless this Wonderful World” and yet is nothing like the dreamlike idealized world of the protagonist, but not in an edgy attempt of a dark subversion of the typical fantasy story, but in a comical way. For those that don’t tolerate lewd stuff, the show is full of ecchi because of the perverted characters, but is often very tame, especially for coming out these days, and said content is usually present because of the protagonist, who always gets shit as a consequence. The show is not a harem at least in the beginning; no girl really likes Kazuma at first because of how much of a pervert and a dick he can be. And even then, from what I understand, his characterization and the lewd content are far tamer than in the original light novel. I’m actually thankful for that, as those bits are the thing I like the least from this franchise. Now for the entries in specific: -The first season is more of an introduction phase as expected, whole episodes are dedicated to introduce the main characters, but there are clear pacing issues as enemies and future friends (Wiz) and secondary characters (YunYun) are introduced out of screen for the sake of rushing through the first major fight, they even needed to reintroduce YunYun properly on a later entry. And even then, there are a bunch of minor missions that could have been omitted in order to introduce those characters properly. Another issue could be the abuse of running gags, such as Aqua getting traumatized for being eaten by frogs on three out of ten episodes. -The first ova gets a bad rating from me, as it is only an episode of Kazuma being a jerk towards his party and female friends, meaning, it’s just the worst bits of the franchise. -The second season suffers from having to properly reintroduce the characters that appeared out of nowhere in the first season, and it’s a bit more pervy than the previous one, but it also has a more clear linear plot, beginning right from the end of the first, and can also become a bit more serious and action oriented in its final moments. -The second ova is about Kazuma wanting to show off and unknowingly being ridiculed by the girls, in my mind is a superior payback for what he did in the first. -The movie is the best entry in the franchise in my opinion, it can be a bit annoying for its sexual content around Megumin; some will probably be bothered by how it makes light of Kazuma almost being raped; and it is undeniably a bit transphobic, plus the movie takes itself a bit more seriously by prolonging the final fight compared to the original novel. Despite that, it is the one with the most and more linear plot, it is the only one that feels self-contained, and is the most focused on characterization as it fleshes out Megumin and the beginning of the romantic aspect of her and Kazuma. Plus Sylvia is probably the mo…

KonoSuba! - Let's all hail the OG Isekai fantasy masterpiece King of Comedy for its long-awaited comeback! Let's not fake ourselves any further: the return of acclaimed novelist Natsume Akatsuki's mainstay series of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! a.k.a KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!, after 2 spectacular seasons in Winter 2016 and Winter 2017, plus the 2019 movie Kurenai Densetsu a.k.a Legend of Crimson (which you SHOULD definitely watch as its canon to the main series) and last Spring's Megumin spin-off (which is actually very good), the hype for more KonoSuba content for 8 years running in the anime adaptation space has never died down. As fellow KonoSuba fans, you already know the drill when Season 3 was announced alongside the Megumin spin-off back in 2021: more KonoSuba is great Isekai comedy to ever meet the face of the small screen, and Season 3 coming back 7 years later, still pars, and even exceeds all expectations to absolutely no doubt. With Season 3 continuing the epilogue from the Legend of Crimson movie of Volume 5 onwards to Volume 7 of the LN, our ragtag comedy gang is back from Megumin's home place of the Crimson Magic Village, for the gender-neutral MC to almost have his time with said Crimson Demon to earn himself a close-than-thou romantic relationship in the process, to then thwart all of that as they head back to Axel and be worshipped as the gang who defeated a demon king. And then there's that "Hello, I'm Kazuma,"  and life returns to normal. Most notably, Kazuma's journeys are now with the aforementioned Princess of the Six Flowers: Iris Stylish-Sword Belzerg (or just referred to as Iris), the first princess of Belzerg, and coincidentally, one of his most cherished partners of the party: Darkness herself, through which she undergoes a transformation for the worse that could potentially end the eccentric gang in turmoil. Needless to say, we should all expect how perfectly trashy a character Kazuma is with all of his gender-neutral personality, and he NEVER fails to warrant his needs and wants in the most absurd of comedic ways. Same goes with Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness, whatever Kazuma exacts on them is their folly, and they must make sure to control him more than ever, especially for this season where circumstances have gone even more awry to the point of make-and-break situations that could change the fate of the long-standing outcast of a lunatic party that has slowly grown to be respected heroes in the long run. You truly cannot say that the hate for Kazuma and his party is warranted, and although they've become better beings through progression, it's that same nonchalant personality that really brings out the best of what Natsume Akatsuki has to offer for his mainstay series (which has finished since May 2020). What's different this time is the studio change from Studio Deen to Drive, having taken the reigns after J.C.Staff with the Legend of Crimson movie (whose art style is good, but rather iffy to look at and doesn't quite fit the series). Even with an extensive production staff team overhaul bringing in new people, as well as director Yujiro Abe (while keeping veteran director Takaomi Kanasaki as chief supervisor of the franchise), the former has proven that he has done a very good job with the unproven studio for Megumin's Bakuen! spin-off, and Season 3 is that refinement of continuing what Studio Deen has done all those years back, and bringing in modern improvements to make the series feel right at home regardless of how long time has passed. You could say that KonoSuba practically hasn't changed much, and you'd be right. The spectacular and classic OST is there, but I'd feel that Machico isn't stepping up to the calibre of her past songs in the franchise. Don't get me wrong, "Growing Up" is an intentional OP song to show how much the cast has grown, but as a song alone, it's easily the weakest of the franchise to date, and I really feel nothing for it. However, I really quite liked the ED song by Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness's VAs for its usual out-of-pocket comedy, with the tadpole and its transformation into the gross frogs that never fail to consume them each and every time. It's a franchise icon, and you'd be hard-pressed not to love the ED. Overall, what can I really say about KonoSuba, being the best of the best when it comes to pure, undulated Isekai fantasy comedy that still reigns king above all? It should be a no-brainer at this point, and it comes highly recommended, especially if you're a newcomer to the franchise.

If there's one franchise out there that can be described as 'the gift that keeps on giving', Konosuba deserves to be in that conversation. What started as an anime adaptation back in 2016 quickly attracted a global audience. Since its airing in 2017, fans had to endure a 7 year long drought before this season finally aired. It's part of the mainline series that brings back our comedic adventurers, led by the hikkimori Kazuma Satou. When it comes to the premise and overall style, Konosuba needs no introduction. It sells itself through the sheer amount of comedy, satirical jokes, and overall lighthearted storytelling. There are dramatic moments from time to time, but most that is played on by humor. That has been Konosuba's strongest point as the show never took itself seriously from day one. Watching the third season gives a familiar impression when we see Kazuma on his adventures with Aqua, Megumi, and Darkness. Among one of the first segments includes them encountering an elf who feigns being a damsel in distress before their true colors are revealed. This is played off as more of a parody after Kazuma discovers the truth. And yes, that is how Konosuba usually cooks up its comedy. Among the most noticable strengths in this show is the unorthodox chemistry between the main cast. While the group has gotten very close to each other, there are still many moments when each member can't stand each others' personalities and habits. For instance, Darkness' sadism carries into this season that Kazuma still has a hard time adapting to. Megumin's chūnibyō characteristics continues to appear frequently to the annoyance of her friends. And Aqua, who can forget about her childlike-tendencies? Fundamentally, each of the main cast are flawed in some way. Kazuma himself is also his own worst enemy at times when he makes irrational decisions. But hey, who are we to judge? This anime is absolutely self aware of what it's doing and that's to use these flaws to spice up that popcorn entertainment. Konosuba's third season also introduces us to some fresh faces including princess Iris and her aides, most noticably Claire. Iris' tomboyish personality along with her curiousity causes Kazuma's daily life to spiral into chaos. Luckily, Iris herself turns out to be a rather friendly person and views Kazuma as a friend. He serves as a guide for Iris and rids of the lonliness she feels. Despite the comedic nature of their relationship, most it is innocent. Konosuba's humor sometimes go over the line but this season sticks with its roots. On occasions, it still pulls off wacky gimmicks such as body swapping or Darkness' everlasting sadism. Other times, it occasionally dives into more emotional drama in the case of Darkness' story arc this season. Just do yourself and get used to it. It's not going to change any tme soon because this is Konosuba. If we compare this show with more modern mainstream anime, the visual quality is subpar at best. Some fans go as far as label Konosuba a "low budget" anime, but this is mostly done intentionally. The main selling point is the cartoony moments and character expressions rather than how stellar the art looks. Let me just say that since the first episode back in 2016, this anime hasn't lost its touch. You're going to get the same style of Konosuba's art budget and that's not some secret. The promotional material and visuals showed that Konosuba will always be what it wants to be.

What’s a comedy show without comedy? The characters on screen seem familiar and comforting, but they behave lifelessly, as if they’re just there to grab my attention—attention worth its metaphorical weight in gold according to ad companies. This season of Konosuba feels like a low-budget, cash-grab attempt. The animation studio for this season changed from the reputable Studio Deen, which did the first two seasons, to the new Studio Drive. I thought Studio Drive was only going to handle the Megumin spin-off, not take over the entire IP. Studio Deen essentially pulled a Madhouse on us, making two great seasons and then handing it off to a smaller studio to milk it dry. They did the same thing to Promised Neverland S2, Seven Deadly Sins S3, and many more, where they hooked an audience with an IP, then fed them subpar content and robbed them blind. I can’t believe they’ve done this! My concerns started with episode 2 when I watched the entire episode without laughing once and wondered if I’d suddenly lost my sense of humor. Watching Kaiju alongside this season of Konosuba added to my worries. But then I watched an episode of Dungeon Meshi, laughed my ass off, and realized, “it’s not me, it’s you.” The show was the problem. There are entire stretches of 20-30 seconds of just PowerPoint-like slideshows disguised as animation, switching between two sets of pictures like a beginner animator on YouTube. Compared to the vibrant animation budget and love given to the previous two seasons, it feels like a different show. Yes, animation matters. In a comedy show, animation is crucial. Even a soundless comedy can be funny if it’s animated well enough. I feel bad for the supremely talented voice actors who participated in this debauchery. I can hear them trying to convey a certain scene with their voices, but what’s on my screen doesn’t match their passion and direction. Maybe I’m deaf, but it feels like the OST is missing in half the anime. I like the ending theme, but the opening is generic. The story stands out a lot more in this season due to the lack of comedy, and not in a good way. The generic background story that’s supposed to stay in the back of everyone’s mind is now pushed to the forefront, making the show look like a bad theatrical drama. WHOEVER DID THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THIS SEASON WAS TRASH!!!!! They ruined Kazuma’s big moment that I didn’t even know about, but it makes so much more sense once you have the context. This really was a slimmed down, bare-bones satirization of the previous seasons. If you’ve seen the first two seasons of Konosuba and liked them, I suggest you just watch episodes 5, 8, 9, and 12, which were the peak of this season. Episode 10 was especially bad. There was nothing but panning shots, mouth movements, dismally empty soundtrack, and a complete lack of comedy replaced with the cheapest melodrama you’ll ever see. The biggest disappointment of Spring 2024 Anime for me. Ratings: Art: 6/10 Not as good as it should be Animation: 5/10 Bare minimum for a show airing on TV Sound: 3/10 Whoever did the sound design for this season needs to be fired asap Story: 3/10 This isn’t supposed to matter since this is a comedy Characters: 5/10 Caricatures Enjoyment: 6/10 Wouldn’t watch this if it wasn’t Konosuba. I’ll never forgive Drive! Overall: 6/10 I know the math doesn’t math but I love this series. “I’LL NEVER FORGIVE THE JAPANESE!!!”

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 3 continues the adventures of Kazuma and his odd bunch of misfits as they encounter more royalty, nobility, and drama of their own. Kazuma develops a suspiciously criminal sister complex, Aqua indulges irresponsibly in heavy alcoholism, Darkness contributes to her masochistic self-loathing, and Megumin struggles to stay upright after her super flashy one-hit-wonder "Explosion!" Story & Character: 8/10 It's difficult to develop a cohesive plot while managing a plethora of characters who don't take their lives seriously, especially after three seasons. KONOSUBA III does well to stay relevant by not dwelling on small details for too long. The story continues as a sitcom-style narrative with comedy-first elements that keep it refreshing. Although the story deviates at several stages to set the premise for the next episodic adventure, it feels seamless and the comical nature isn't sacrificed. Character development hasn't always been the best aspect of KONOSUBA because it draws on the already established stereotypes of each main character. This time around, the stereotypes are intensified, with each character indulging in more unhinged activities that test the patience of everyone around them. Despite the shenanigans, each character gets a moment in the spotlight, exposing their vulnerable sides under a segment of absurd and offensive comedy. Side characters feel especially involved this time around, with their relationships being developed alongside Kazuma and his clique. It was great to see specific nobility and royalty playing a more active role in the series with body swaps, noble thievery, and arranged marriages alike. Art & Sound: 7/10 The KONOSUBA art style is iconic within the community, and this season does it justice by building on it with absurdity. The animation lacks in many scenes but is easily counteracted with the large variation of different super-deformed character art styles. The slow burn and delayed movement add a lot of buildup and awkwardness that make KONOSUBA an iconic comedy. In terms of sound design, KONOSUBA does well with the thematic use of soundtracks. The dramatic and comical soundtracks overlap many times in the series to break emotional tension. The intricately timed audio cues and voice acting make this season's sound design just as good as its predecessors. I personally enjoyed more of the falling-apart dialogue that Aqua usually expresses, which I rarely saw this season. Overall & Enjoyment: 8/10 I can't be caught glazing too hard without discussing a few shortcomings - The story felt fast-paced in the sense that it didn't dwell too long on a certain scene or topic. In terms of comedy, it helps to have a shifting narrative so the comic effect doesn't stale, but in plot development, it felt very rushed. There were loose ends involving side characters that weren't revisited, often left on a comedic note and not revisited, like Dust and his macho photographer. Apart from that, I enjoyed KONOSUBA 3 a lot more than I was expecting. Aqua being an irresponsible alcoholic has got to be the most authentic character representation in modern anime.

I love Konosuba and yet S3 had me wonder what the fk was going on with the VAs Before, you'd have some scenes devolve in to screeching and yelling and insanity, but it was always mixed with lots of other scenes that weren't that. S3 had EVERY SINGLE FKING SCENE with the VAs acting like they are losing their fking minds Obviously this is not exactly in the source material and ad-lib, and I wonder who exactly thought pouring the entire bottle of soy sauce on rice would taste better than a nice peppering of the liquid to give contrast and palate cleansing

It's not terrible, but it's not up to par with everything you've come to expect from Konosuba. Temper expectations to avoid massive disappointment. When I finished the series my first thought was "It's almost like this was done by someone that has no clue on how to make Konosuba." And you know what? That's exactly what happened. The entire season is carried by the seiyuu and your existing emotional connection with the characters. Drive just doesn't get the nuances that JC Staff nailed perfectly. Meticulous attention to detail made many of the gags that were only fine in the LNs absolute gutbusters in the anime. Until now. There isn't one gigantic blunder, it's mediocrity of 1000 "good enough for contract work" failings that don't deliver what you expect when you see the Konosuba name. If someone claimed the whole season was AI generated, I couldn't instantly dismiss it. But when you see the art, you know this wasn't the work of AI. The art is unacceptable. There are too many places to count where faces of main characters don't look right. It's all the more jarring when the seiyuu nail the characters perfectly, as if season 3 had been recorded right after the movie, and the characters just look wrong. I don't think it's wrong to expect a real anime studio to get the faces right when solo doujin eroge developers can do it. In a world of digital art that's simple college geometry. Joke timings are a little off. Some things need time to breathe and don't get it. Some comedic still shots last too long. Fan service that was in the novels isn't here, and what is here is watered-down enough that it's not on brand. Everything pedestrian with season 3 demonstrates just how much JC Staff understood what made the web novel a hit. Fortunately, a lot of the familiar BGM tracks have been used. They actually help make it feel more like Konosuba anime than S3 probably should. Conclusion: The fault lies with the anime, not the source material. The novels covering this are fine. JC Staff managed to take the source material and make it better at every turn. This is the first time that the Konosuba books are better than the anime. Drive has botched Konosuba almost as badly as Passione botched High School DxD. If you're a fan, you're going to watch it anyway. Just don't expect too much to avoid disappointment.

This season is like watching Thor Love and Thunder after Thor Ragnarok. A major setback due to the writers overdid the jokes. The things that made the previous seasons good now basically in every scene of every eposide. Have you enjoyed the funny facial expressions in the previous seasons? Now you got it in every second. Have you enjoyed the funny music in particular situations? Now you got it in every second. Have you enjoyed the slow paced unfolding story? Now its even slower, barely moving. (Although the 2nd part of the season is somehow better) Have you enjoyed the "konosuba" filler screens? Now you got more! I know this is a show, that supposed to be funny, and Konosuba one of my all time favourite anime, but this season overdid it. For me its a 7 (or even a 6).

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 3 was honestly surreal to watch considering the length of time since the previous season but man did it not disappoint. A season full of all the same hilarity the previous ones delivered, with the same lovable cast although with a bit more focus on emotional moments which I believe they handled really really well! It's so wonderful to see the quality maintained with this season because at first I was really worried they wouldn't be able to, but nope I'm still laughing out loud every episode and falling in love even more with these characters. This was definitely Darkness' season, and with her being my favourite character I was overjoyed at how much development and attention she got. I really do think they nailed the emotional moments this season, obviously Konosuba isn't exactly renowned as the most serious show but man did they get me welling up with a few of these scenes. There were so many standout moments this season, the stuff with the princess was absolute gold and god I loved everything Kazuma did this season he was even funnier than ever I think I actually squealed when he did the "𝒽𝒶𝒾, 𝒦𝒶𝓏𝓊𝓂𝒶 𝒹𝑒𝓈𝓊" bit I was like NO WAY IT'S BEEN SO LONG YEAHH!!! The animation was great this season, I loved the stupid faces everyone was pulling and man they went off in the big moments which both added to the hype and humour they really just nailed it all this season. Soundtrack was great too, I always love those character EDs. Overall a wonderful continuation to a wonderful series, you won't be disappointed!

LALATINA STEAL THIS SEASON! Overall, this season is growing better, i mean, not saying that previous season is bad, but, i feel that every season of Konosuba is growing better and better. Comedy: 10 The comedy between crazy party Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin and Darkness is still great. They are like a comedian group which can't replaced by other characters Story: 9 The story is also good, i'm enjoying this season but sadly there was only 11 episode. The last episode of this season is something like a "key" for the next whole story of Konosuba universe. Music: 9 Yeah, Machico on the opening, and Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness VA on the ending, is that a great formula for Konosuba. But the variation of BGM a litlle bit missing on this season, i miss the jazzy BGM when Darkness Masochist's side appears. Overall, this season is very recommended and ABSOLUTE CINEMA!

After 7 long years, KonoSuba is still as enjoyable as it was before. While the third season of KonoSuba had great action there were some shortcomings. I found it a bit disinteresting that the third season focused more on character development than plot development. It felt like this whole season was more of a filler than actually contributing toward the end goal of defeating the Demon King. While I did find the character development episodes to be enjoyable, I also would like to see more action this season. Even with minimal action, the comedy was way better than the last two seasons in my opinion. The animation although flunky at times does a well enough job as it provides chaos and variety unmatched. I'm not tryna glaze too much, but the attention to detail in some of the action-based moments like whenever Megumin does her explosion spell was eye-catching. However, it isn't anything compared to shows like Demon Slayer or Solo Leveling which is why it was good but not great. The sound for this show was amazing though. The many side effects throughout the show enhanced the comedy on the screen. Opening and endings were fine and just the typical things you see in any isekai, nothing astounding. I enjoyed Darkness's arc throughout the second half of the season. It was a nice balance between actual drama and comedy which I found exciting. It was great to see how Darkness viewed her party and established better chemistry towards the main characters in Kazuma's party. It was somewhat refreshing in a sense and I loved this part of the show Overall, the season was very good as the comedy didn't hinder the story progression providing a good balance between humor and drama which was entertaining to see.

This show I enjoy watching despite never being one I loved or favorited. The comedy was great, awesome premise from season 1. So this is coming from a non fan stand point. They missed the mark in this season. It was blatant and obvious in early episodes. I finished it anyway, laughed sure but where is the sustenance this season. Ouch to those who put a lot of effort in making it. Great ideas executed poorly unfortunately. I'm not gonna pick apart why because everyone will get their own interpretation and some loved it for sure and we can't blame them, tastes are individualistic. All I'm saying is that if a non avid lover of this show can tell this season was a mismark it speaks volumes. Sure I laughed and all that but everything else... eesh. Might not be so bad if you know that before going in, maybe, who knows. I can only speak my truth. Those who despise it, I understand. Those who are on the fence and still want to give season 4 a chance like me, that's cool. Those who love it, thank you for giving us the opportunity to get a 4th season.

Konosuba its one of my favorite anime of all. But this season looked like a filler. When i thought The season would finally start (at episode 10), it ended. So yeah... Fun season but its a filler. The Princess arc its fun and we had a spot light for darkness on her own arc. Yet, its not even close to The spot light megumin had on her own movie. Darkness need more Love! The story its fun. And this is it. I like they introduced a cool "main quest" with The treasures, but that wasnt developed any further. The same for The Princess, that gone faster than she came. I wanted it to have more impact on The story. Overall, enjoy able but not exciting. 7/10

Soo Glad I didn't have to wait long for this! Art - 9/10 The studio change didn't screw over the art direction and it looks Just about as Konosuba as Konosuba ever has and that is a great thing, the explosions are larger and the ecchi moments have settled down a bit!. Characters - 10/10 Holy shit every character is soo good, they can all make you laugh and feel something in the span of like 5 minutes, perfect character writing for a show that isn't too serious. Story - 9/10 Kind of a trapped story in 1 Spot for this season, but it does well remaining in the few locations that it is given and the story proceeds smoothly. OST/Sound Design - 10/10 Voice actors sound like they are having soo much fun and the OST's always put you in a good mood. Enjoyment - 9/10 Probably the best Konosuba season yet, and from the light novel possibly only going to get better!. Overall 9/10 Great third season, wasn't let down and enjoyed it every thursday.

What happened to Konosuba? It is still an ok show but I remember loving the first two seasons so much that I binge watched it. The humour seems to have shifted to a barrage of low effort gags with constant screaming involved. We also barely get the whole squad, in the beginning the focus is on Kazuma and in the later half on Lalatina. That would be fine if the story wasn't so bad or the other characters weren't so bland. It is really missing the randomness of the first two seasons. The animation quality seems to have gone down as well with studio Drive. Seems like a low effort anime sequel to me that lives off the success of the first two seasons of studio DEEN. To further emphasize: I despise the constant screaming.
