I believe this is a fun show... if you enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, and/or have a very creative mind. I found that this was a great show, about 4 down on there luck, angery, sad, betrayed individuals that rekindle trust between each other. Of course this isn't a 10/10 masterpiece like FMA, AoT, or JOJO's... but it didn't have to be to be enjoyable. I find that too many people expect too much out of a show now-a-days, not everything can be a 10/10 experience. More so, if you just relax and enjoy content and appreciate its strengths, nothing stops this show from being a 7 or 8/10 for me

Ningen Fushin is by no means anything groundbreaking or special in the oversaturated Fantasy genre, but I think it knows what it wants to do, stays in it's lane, and does what it does well. I personally enjoy this show's premise which is what makes it stand out primarily. A group of adventurers got screwed over by their respective guilds, and they all come together to form a guild of their own (The "Survivors") to make ends meet while carrying their personal baggage. Because of this, the relationship between the Survivors is rocky at first, but they slowly learn to trust each other and maybe even become friends by the end of it all. However, it's a slow process that doesn't happen all at once which makes it feel natural and more engaging. It's not like they become best buddies by the end of the season either, but you can still see the clear progress they've made through their various jobs; originally coming together only to survive, to covering each other's back during combat, to caring about each other's personal matters. I guess you can think of it like the character dynamics of Konosuba's main cast in a way, just with much less comedy and a more grounded take on this concept of misfits coming together. Like I said, this slow buildup is what makes the characters feel a lot more organic, and you wanna see their bond strengthen despite all the hardship they've gone through due to people taking advantage of them. Speaking of the characters, the Survivors crew come from all walks of life as well. Nick who was taken in by a guildmaster as a kid then got fired from it, Tiana who was formerly being a prestigious mage, Curran was a dragon girl devoted to following who she thought would be the savior of the world, and Zem who was a priest falsely accused of sexual crimes by a little girl. All that is to say, in addition to the jobs the crew takes in the present, you also get multiple sections where the story decides to focus on the backstory of one of the Survivors and shed some more light on what fate befell them before the start of the show. It can sometimes interrupt the main story a bit too much and can feel segmented, but it lends more credence to each of the characters and shows that they still have trauma that is unresolved and is something they constantly think about. It's not like their betrayals are forgotten about when they come together, but instead they use those plot devices to strengthen the bond between the Survivors while also learning more about them. It's done quite well in my opinion. So all in all, I do recommend Ningen Fushin if the main premise of this show sounds interesting to you. The main cast alone is what made me watch through the whole thing, even if other parts of the show were average or "fine" at best, like the animation and overall plotline. If you're particularly a fan of Fantasy, I think you'll like this show anyway, and for everyone else, I would say it's worth your time if the first few episodes catch your eye in any way.

This will be more of a rant than a reivew. Long story short, go read the manga, if you end up liking it, go check out the light novel. I usually don't write reviews and am usually very generous with how I rate anime/manga in general. If it is somewhat enjoyable or there was some aspect of the show which was 'well done' or even one moment which was memorable. Just one those fact present, I would give the shows a decent rating. I come from the manga, where the art was quite to my liking and the pacing of the story was great as well. Sadly the manga is stopped/discontinued after 40 chapters. So disappointing.. thought the anime will be somewhat decent but turned out not that great. Maybe I should have managed my expectations? I thought after the Demon Slayer, Mushoku Tensei anime. Companies would give more emphaisis on Art and Pacing. The anime skipped so much stuff it is too disappointing. Oh well. Since I like the source material, I don't want to rate the anime any less than 7/10.

Starts out interesting with a curious take on the adventurer party type story, but then the story takes a detour into comedy/side quests and then gets serious again. I get the feeling this might be a case where the source material has been butchered mercilessly, but this show goes from classic serious approaches with people that were betrayed learning to trust again, and having a glimpse at people with substance abuse issues, but then we have weird episodes about confronting an ex girlfriend and diving into our MC's obsession with an idol group... I don't know. It went from an interesting story to a very odd thing I couldn't get into anymore because I was alienated from the plot at that point

This is the kind of series thats hard to call bad or good, the plot is kinda both episodic and not, art is average and animation is below average and music just like most anime is decent. One thing i can say it does well is the characterisation, main and side characters while they did not woo me, are decent to above average to the point i can say there is no annnoying or bad character at the very least. A lot of parts on this anime are okay/good as standalone parts but they don't mix very well together with each other, the episodic parts don't move the overarching plot after all even if they are not bad and obviously the not so good production values on this show bring it down. If you are the type to prefer the journey including the sidequests rather than the destination, then yeah watch this.

Hard to review this one. I can see a large amount of potential in the series, and if it got a few more seasons, or was a 24 not 12 episode season 1 maybe it'd be fantastic. The characters are well written, their backgrounds, motivations and current psych profile are detailed. However it just feels a bit "blah" on the implementation at the moment. There's lots of allusions to world stuff that never goes anywhere, It feels like a "fallen current/future world turned to magic" but there's no details or reveal on that anywhere. Over-all it feels like a not-quite-there advertisement for the manga, which I hear is a not-quite-finished advertisement for the Light Novel. This is always a failure, as each medium, while being a "hey also check out" should completely stand alone by itself also. I enjoyed this series, I would like to see more. However I really can't bring myself to recommend it to others as it just feels incomplete.

Yet again, another fantasy show that tries to take a different approach to the genre. As someone familiar with the genre, I can see the effort put in by the author to make it unique while still following the standard plot progression. It's unclear if "Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai wo Sukuu you desu" follows the hero's journey narrative pattern as it's still in its early stages. The first season focuses on world-building and character development. However, it is notable that not every story needs to fit the classic hero's journey pattern to be enjoyable. Unfortunately, the show leans too much on drama, which detracts from the overall experience. The group of adventurers doesn't do much adventuring, which is atypical for the genre, and the show tries to be a complicated soap drama while being straightforwardly superficial, as oxymoronic as it sounds. The art style is discernible but not memorable, and the main characters have unique traits. The reviewer recommends this show for people who enjoy the standard adventure fantasy but notes that it ultimately falls into the average category of moderate shows. Despite some unique and intriguing aspects, the show doesn't quite stand out from the other similar stuff.

This show is great. It doesn´t have the sharpest animation in some action scenes not gonna lie but don´t let that stop you from giving it a chance. It´s not an isekai and it definitely not a typical fantasy show either. It´s a show that you want to check out. Aside from some of the action scenes, it stays consistent with the level of animation for the most part in my opinion. And I think the art style fits well with the characters. Other than that it´s a great fantasy anime. I apreciate this show because the story is pretty interesting with very likeable characters with pretty good backstories. You really get to feel empathy for what happened to them in their past and end up wanting to see them overcome the issues that such experiences caused them. The opening and specially ending are awesome by the way. It´s a show that made trauma feel like trauma and how they aren't healed yet but better than where they first started was something was something very realistic and nice to see. This is a show that is worth watching and I really hope it gets a S2.
