Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki Part 2
現実主義勇者の王国再建記
How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Part 2
KANLen09
The father of modern political philosophy and science, 15th Century-borne Niccolò Machiavelli, is a very influential figure for his unscrupulous acts that are proclaimed in his most famous (or infamous rather) work on The Prince (Il Principe), being heralded as the instruction guide for new princes and royals, accepting that the aims, such as glory and survival, can justify the use of immoral means to achieve those ends. But as is with this very controversial work that's debated for centuries after his death, there was one consensus that was generally agreed on, and it's innovation, partly because like many other prose works of the time, it was written in Italian Vernacular, giving rise to the popularity of literature in the Renaissance Period. The Prince's aim was to teach that the "effectual" truth was to be taken as more important than any abstract ideal. And novelist Dojyomaru took and transformed that ideal into an Isekai where a modern person of intelligence and conceit was summoned to a fantasy world where the kingdom he was summoned was facing political and social pressure, and needed to be reformed before it could be lost to potential rivals typical of the kingdom wars and takeover and what-have-yous. And since this is the continuation of that series from last Summer, to say that Realist Hero wasn't for me would be a sore understatement. I do love shows covering politics and the like (a la Log Horizon) because it gives me reason to jog my brain, but after bearing through yet another season of this, I have but only one answer to it, and that's by some quotes: - “I imagine that the intelligent people are the ones so intelligent that they don't even need or want to look 'intelligent' anymore.” ― Criss Jami, author of Killosophy - “Whenever a theory appears to you as the only possible one, take this as a sign that you have neither understood the theory nor the problem which it was intended to solve.” ― Karl Popper - “It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong.” ― Richard P. Feynman And this quote might just be the best answer to sum this series as a whole, short and sweet: “Absurdity is the ecstasy of intellectualism.” ― Criss Jami, author of Salomé: In Every Inch In Every Mile It's no surprise that deep within the reaches of Realist Hero, nothing stands but generic Isekai and with a harem to match, because what else could you try to match sophisticated intelligence like Machiavelli's to make it "realistic". It's like cooking something but adding sugar instead of salt (or MSG rather) to make the taste balance topsy turvy, and yet still, manage to fail in every regard. I like references when done right and that the general audience understands why the context is used, but Realist Hero just quotes them like "It's the definition of law and order, written in black and white" to appease the people whom didn't understand one fair bit, yet continue to trust that the same people will understand the motives of the one in charge and trust that whatever the hero's doing, he's doing it for the best intentions of the kingdom. Whether frenemies or strangers that he comes by, he does it by the book to ensure that everyone is treated equally, which in an imperfect world, would sound almost to the point of narcissism. That's why it's labelled fiction, a imagination of a "what-if" situation if past Centuries' kingdoms would've been led by modern-day civilization, and for that it's fine, but doesn't harness any realism values at all. Everything else is just the same, just nothing to note about. At least Inori Minase's OP is better by a wee bit, and the ED got an upgrade to not being PowerPoint-worthy half-assed lazy material with Aimi's ED to boot. If you love it, you definitely will love it, and vice versa. I can't imagine anyone with common sense will like this one since it's just constant quotes to signify a brand new age, and it's still the same utter convoluted nothingness as the 1st Cour that came before it. This series is just too smart for its own good, and that "playing smart" is its Achilles' Heel, for better or for worse. Meanwhile, just watch Tensai Ouji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu a.k.a The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt, that one is far less liberal on the socio-political aspect and more comedic that's a better representation of being a more realistic Realist Hero.

I really love this anime. Characters are unique in their ways. The story is fun and it is rare for this kind of genre. There is also a lot of knowledge inserted throughout the story and you can apply that knowledge in your real life. The art & sound are not top-tier anime but the quality does not drop throughout part 1 and part 2. The story and character can compensate for art & music. I really wish it will have season 2 (now it is only season 1 part 1 & 2. If you have never watched this anime before, I strongly recommend to try once. Let's support this anime together :)

I am happy that everyone here may actually be coming here after watching season 1 or maybe thinking of giving it a chance, It pains me so much to see the blind anituber bandwagon hate for isekai these days, though some are deserving of it, it also leads to some very unique and amazing ideas like this and fabiniku (the other great isekai this season) being thrown under the bus! Isekai is just an excuse at this point to get a clean slate, leapfrog, and create your own world with your Set of rules, this is absolute CRUX OF THE WHOLE ANIME IN THIS ONE genjitsu yuusha will be a failed product if it tried to do what it did back on earth. Now I get this can lead to a basic as Fuck annoying SAO clone anime but it also leads to the creation of true masterpieces like Mushoku Tensei, honzuki, slime, etc Though it may seem presumptuous, I am confident enough that with the level of World Building that has been given to this anime we can call it a great world like the above 3 (Tho the story and characters are not yet at the level of the former 3) “Just to fulfill the isekai checklist it had to make that same mistake, Add a harem” ~ Me in season 1 review I must admit I was wrong there…. Actually, these political marriages make a lot of sense hell we had them just about a few centuries ago too. This I have seen a harem being justified in anime without just ecchi XD, Liscia, Aisha, merchant girl all make for some powerful allies and also help him consolidate his powers due to their familial ties. Most of these make the harem aspect more sensible yes, HOWEVER, the girls themselves still remain very poorly written sometimes purely due to the fact that they don't add much to the plot other than being the MC s Q/A BOT. Liscia still only accompanies soma so that he has someone to explain shit to OFC while also being a Waifu XD. Aisha gets no dialogues at all unless it's about sexy time :3, Ronoa, even though she joined late, remains the most interesting of the bunch but gets limited screen time. The plot however improves even more after season 1! The setting is beautifully laid down, to start with a kingdom that isn't too well off yet has the potential, stereotypes such as magic being an end all be all halting technological advancements, refugees piling up due to war, War being just an excuse for many nations to further their power and much more! A history nerd is sure to love this premise and also the execution which is done exactly as would be expected and hence makes soma his own kind of cool! I can't sing more praise without spoiling, but be sure to check it plot(8/10) The best you can get if realistic fantasy is what you desire, The business aspect does not go into spice and wolf or maoyuu levels but remains relevant and believable and slightly better than last season. The war aspect is perfectly portrayed! Sacrifices, refugees, Bold yet hard choices are made and the topic of slavery is also handled in a mature and proper manner, unlike most anime where it is just for sympathy points. The other quirky and well-written characters other than souma are a welcome change, however, the main harem girls still were not explored quite as well, I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT CARMINE AND LISCIA RELATIONSHIP BUT THE ANIME JUST GLOSSED OVER IT AND WASTED ANOTHER PERFECT OPPORTUNITY. Characters (7/10) Characters are like walking on a tight rope the main girls for the most part remain as uninteresting as they had in season 1, I would really love it if this is rectified in future seasons(if there are any). Souma, Jeanne, and hakuya remain the strongest and most well-written characters, there is a good amount of mystery in hakuya’s character, and souma is a flawed and not immune kirito clone which makes the story much more fitting of its realist hero title. Certain new characters, although pretty unimportant are also quite promising and are also hinted to return hence this may as well turn into a massive colony of characters the kind that we see in tensura. I have ranted enough about the girls so ill omit it here. Art and animation (6/10) Not great, maybe a slight improvement in animation from last season. The art, although consistent is rather bland to the point that every character looks the same except ofc the eye and hair color. The background art is as generic as it comes in JC staff land but it's not bad to look at, But a jump in art quality certainly might have helped. The best part is the Well detailed MAPS that explain the current standings quite well I love every scene that includes it! OP art is a standard boring adventure character showcase. ED art is weak and forgettable as well. Sound VA (8/10) Nothing of note, most popular VA doing their role as well as they can, no standout performance but none are bad at all. OP is music-wise ok, ED is slightly better than OP IMO. If you liked the first season you are sure to love it even more ! If you arent sure yet and wanted to check out s2 reviews before watching, do not hesitate watch the first 3 of the first season , season 2 is the same but better!

The return of politics, the anime and it came back and did more of the same. My opinions from season 1 didn’t really change, it was just nice to see a different outlook on the isekai genre, however, it wasn’t necessarily perfect especially because the anime started to feel like it was dragging throughout the middle and there were certain parts where literally nothing would happen. Overall I thought it was a decent continuation of season 1 that I think some people might enjoy. Art: 5 With this being more of a dialog-based show with a minimal amount of action the animation isn't as important, at least to me. I also thought character designs weren’t amazing, but the colors would pop out nicely. Sound: 7 A somewhat underrated part of the anime. The sound design was surprisingly solid, but it wasn’t really jaw-dropping, but the sound would be used to create a good atmosphere in scenes throughout the anime. Characters: 6 More of the same from season 1 with the most prominent addition being Roroa, who was enjoyable whenever she popped on the screen, but the character development was decent, to say the least. This still has to be the biggest drawback for me. Story: 7 This anime did a really good job of grabbing us back in especially with the stuff about Carmine and how that entire situation played out. I must also say that it ended very nicely and it was good to find out more about the past king, However, my biggest gripe has to be that the anime felt quite boring and dragged quite a bit throughout the middle which is unfortunate.

I enjoyed the first season, I also have no hate against Isekai anime, I enjoy them a lot. I thought that it had laid out a very interesting foundation. So wow, was I really disappointed with this second season/half of the show. I feel like so much went wrong here and by that last episode I was like like "bruh" what? That last episode really lowered the rating of the show. Story 3 The story felt very blah and some of the things Souma focused on or went over I just started zoning out on. So if the last episode wasn't the way it was, I probably would've have left this at a 5, but that last episode added what felt unnecessary and made so much of what was previously laid down questionable and in the air. Sure, one could say there was foreshadowing, and at the same time I felt those hints were so vague that really it was easy to be like here's the answer, "See the connection?" and then we'll all go, "Oh wow that was so smartly laid out," when really it felt kinda lazy. Art 5 The art was fine, nothing absolutely breathtaking, nothing horrendous. Sound 6 I liked the OP, it was nothing amazing though, and otherwise most of the OST was just pretty fine. Character 3 The first season introduced all these characters that I wanted to see more of and in this season many of these characters get dropped or just reduced to like their base personality traits and feel more like hollow cutouts. I also had a hard time just going along with Souma just being like, "yup I know politics because I read a book, so I am great and do not fail at being a king." Yes, I saw him get affected by some of the job, but it still ended up working out, and it really didn't feel like the stuff he was affected by really held all that much weight. Also again even the harem characters felt completely reduced to stereotypical harem traits and they no longer felt like they had depth. Conclusion I really wanted to like this season, I thought the first season had really hooked me in, and I was interested to see what was next. Again if the last episode wasn't the way it was this anime would've ended up at like a 5 or 6 in rating, but really that episode did the whole show in for me. I will say there is a heartwarming satisfying interaction at the end, that felt more earned than a lot of the anime. Honestly, I could have gone without watching this.

If you've watched the first part, then you kind of know what to expect here, however I personally feel the second season is significantly weaker. The art is poor, in many places it feels lazy and like they put in the minimal amount of effort, and the CG while not terrible is unmistakably sub-par. The sound is average, there is nothing special here, nothing standout, in part 1 we had insert songs, here we don't even get that, we're not getting the 'song performances' that were a feature of part 1 What was good about Part 1 isn't as predominant here, instead, it mostly deals with the aftermath of Part 1 The problem is a lot of the story elements have evaporated, in the later half especially, where it mostly descends into unrelated sub stories, and shifts into wanting to focus into being more of a Harem anime than anything else. It had harem elements before, but Part 2 brings those to the forefront. One thing is, it's not as clever as it thinks it is, for example, it keep referencing Machiavelli's The Prince, yet there is good reason to believe that it was not intended to be taken literally. Machiavelli wrote the treatise for the tyrannical new Medici ruler of Florence, who had previously tortured and banished Machiavelli. Florence had been a Republic before the Medici's took over, and Machiavelli was pro Republican. So he commits many duplicitous or tyrannical acts often without mercy, and yet people are just 'fine' with it. In Part 1 his social reforms were met with pushback, which was the entire plot of Part 1, Yet in Part 2 his tyrannical actions are met with crickets. I quite enjoyed Part 1, I was looking forward to Part 2, but Part 2 turned out to be a massive let down.

I watched Part 1 and Part 2 as they aired, but I've had the time to go back and re-watch and subsequently write a proper review for the series as a whole. In terms of Isekai, "Realist Hero" is not your typical trash or enjoyable slop. Yes, the cliché "Demon Lord is out to destroy the world" plot-thread is there, but it's more a narrative device used for world-building, rather than anything to do with the actual core of the show (as of yet). Our MC, Kazuya, is not a typical level 999 Hero with all skills maxed-out, nor does he have a cheat that allows him to slay hordes of enemies and save everyone. He's a humanities student, with a vast knowledge base of modern-day political and societal practices, along with a good understanding of civilisation's history on Earth. The story is about him using that knowledge to help save the Kingdom of Elfrieden from economic collapse and potential starvation, after the throne was suddenly given to him without much explanation by the previous King. Quickly realising that he's out of his depth, he uses the tools at his disposal in a modern-thinking way to recruit multiple talented individuals that can help him in his endeavour, eventually bringing the Kingdom of Elfrieden back from the brink and into an age of prosperity. When compared to typical isekai stories, this one is novel, and I personally found it to be a very enjoyable watch. Now, some may say that this show is a bit too much "tell, not show", as sometimes it's mentioned that Kazuya put such-and-such a reform into place, or something happened far too quickly, but, honestly, I cannot imagine watching several hours of a guy writing documents and talking with retainers about a reform or new law. It would have been a boring snooze-fest had that been the case. The anime at least tries to strike a happy medium with showing certain things and only bringing up others in dialogue, and again, I think it does a good enough job at this to keep the story and watching experience enjoyable throughout. I do however understand where some of the complaints are coming from though, as it's revealed (not really a spoiler) in EP12 of Part 2, that Kazuya has only been in the new world for 8 months, and although each of their months are 32 days long (a year is 384 days there), he accomplishes a hell of a lot in those 8-9 months. Then again, when it's a world of magic that is semi-industrialised, you're King and can push whatever law/reform you want through, and you have incredibly loyal and talented retainers, it's not as far-fetched as it may first-appear. Another benefit of this show is the varied cast. Each member of Kazuya's team is recruited due to a talent that they possess, and they therefore have their strengths, but they do also have their weaknesses. They're specialists in a specific field. Now, yes, there's a harem here, especially in Part 2, but all the ladies have their own goals, personalities and reasons why they fall for Kazuya. It's not a case of simply looking at him once and wanting his babies. It's also refreshing that we have decently fleshed-out men present here too, who are wildly different from one another. In regards to the harem, it's fairly well done here, and as the story is a bit more grounded in the sense of typical medieval politics, it makes sense from a narrative perspective too. I definitely don't think it ruins the story. Lastly, the art and animation are serviceable. Definitely not some insane quality stuff, but passable for a series that has a lesser focus on hard-hitting, fast-paced action. Overall, if it wasn't already clear, I really liked this series. It's something I've had no issue re-watching, and can't help but hope for a follow-up season in the future, even if it seems unlikely. As this is kind-of a joint review of Part 1 and Part 2, as a whole I'd rate the show 8/10 "Very Good", and I would recommend it.
MrManfredi
I am so disappointed. I hate what was revealed in the last episode. I don't want to spoil anything, but even without that, I couldn't rate it higher than 5/10. It was boring. Characters are shallow like puppets. I couldn't feel anything. I forced myself to complete the story, which is another red flag. It had a promising first season, despite shallow character development. Last episode changed everything. With hindsight, I'm sure I wouldn't even have started watching this anime. It all looks like a waste of time now. I won't watch season 3 even if it airs. P.S. This stupid automated AI feature won't let me post my review as it is stated above, so I have to add some organized Q&A info to pass the check The story is not unique and is very predictable (especially regarding his harem, etc.). I did not enjoy it even though I like the concept of isekai development anime. Art style is decent. No problems on that part Characters are like insignificant puppets. I couldn't empathize. Some were introduced for no reason. Character reactions were as flat as characters. Events were boring. I could not immerse and wanted to drop the series Anyone who hates time leaps and multiverses will hate this story.
Deadlotus_M
Just finished it and I have to say, it's a downgrade comparade to the first season, mostly because it loses the surprise effect, the "oh this is definitely a different Isekai" feeling of the first season. So here we have a definitely worst season, my reasons : - Roroa was really underwhelming, I expected her to be an antagonist or at least to give the MC some trouble but she's just another waifu. - There are two episodes in the middle who's flat out boring (the slave merchant one and the next) I saw myself skipping through them, I didn't even though about it in the first season. - It doesn't go deep in the politics, Wich is a shame. - For me the queens magic was kinda obvious, so it was not a big reveal, neither the direction or the soundtrack gave it the impact that it should have. Other than that this season is pretty much the same as the previous for me. At least we had a kiss for Kasuya and Liscia right ? Some development at least. It is a good show, nothing incredible but will entertain you, it can be boring at times and the soundtrack is pretty forgettable but the story and characters can carry it. For me it's a solid 6,5 it could definitely be better and if it wasn't for the 2 very skipable eps I would give it a 7 like the first season. That's it, thanks for reading - from your deadly lotus Ps: this is my first review in MAL, what my life has become for me to be here ? Idk

Having watched from Season I to Season II, this story is a prime example of an isekai series trying to be different by selling an intellectual and cognitive narrative, but alas, it failed. A. The Things I Praise: 1. Top-Tier Voice Acting The voice acting is arguably the biggest highlight of the show. The performances are consistently excellent across the board. I honestly can’t even believe that Minase Inori, my absolute favorite voice actor, is part of this project, her presence alone makes it much more enjoyable. B. The Things I Criticize: 1. Wikipedia-Level Geniuses Kazuya Souma's tactics are actually just basic, real-world common sense (like crop rotation, basic taxation systems, or disaster management). However, in the eyes of the characters in this isekai world, these elementary concepts are treated as miracles of a god-level genius. 2. The Dumb-Down Curse To make Souma's civil tactics and bureaucratic reforms look brilliant, the old ministers, corrupt nobles, and neighboring kings are deliberately written to act extremely stupid, incompetent, and illogical. The politics only work because the competition has no functioning brains. Look no further than Liscia Elfrieden. Despite her status as a crown princess and a future military general, she genuinely believes that building good, smooth roads is nothing but a danger because it could allow the enemy to quickly invade the capital. As soon as Souma explains the basic concept that "good roads are essential for our own economy and military mobility," Liscia gasps in amazement as if she had just heard a divine revelation. And yet, that is the most basic infrastructure logic in human history! 3. Repetitive and Boring Progression After the novelty of the initial kingdom-building wears off, the story falls into a highly predictable and repetitive cycle. Every arc follows the exact same formula: a new problem arises, Souma explains a basic real-world concept, everyone gets amazed, and the problem is instantly solved. It strips away all forms of tension. 4. Flat and One-Dimensional Characters Aside from Souma, almost every character in the show lacks true depth. The supporting cast exists solely to agree with everything Souma says and praise his ideas. They have no agency, no conflicting motives, and no independent personality outside of being loyal subjects. C. Conclusion: Despite the obvious writing flaws and questionable execution, it remains a decent watch for when you're tired and just want a popcorn show that doesn't require any hard thinking to understand.

The second season of realist hero continues to suck at being realistic. All people in the world are still retarded and treat an average person as god incarnate for saying the most basic things. My favourite scene this season is when the main character repeats someone's plan back at them and then commends the person he stole the plan from for being 'quick to catch on' to the plan. Add in a suggestion to exchange receivers and apparently this interaction is enough for a character to beg him to marry her sister because his sheer inventiveness would be such a big deal for their nation!! Sadly the issues are not contained to a collection of lobotomised characters worshipping someone with half a brain. This season reveals slightly more about the worldbuilding and manages to ruin most of it. Part of that is due to the pacing, apparently the first two seasons span only nine months but he basically fixes all problems, turns slums into a place I could live and manages to deal with the 'refugee crisis'. By the way, this refugee crisis was a thousand people living in tents (A third of the continent was conquered and this nation has two million people??) and dealing with them was less of a priority than 'beautifying the city'. Overall the world building is just bad, the pacing is too fast and the progress feels like a minecraft youtuber doing some 'mining off-camera'. Credit where credit is due, this season does attempt to explain the weird actions by the king in the first season but I didn't find it to be a particularly good explanation. All in all this is a watchable anime but it's just not good, which is a shame. If you weren't sure whether you liked the first season, it doesn't get better and I can't recommend it.

Really interesting anime, from a realistic viewpoint into economy and how modern concepts would fit in a dark age set world full of magic and finding ways to make them fit together well was cute. Felt like I was getting a fun lecture on the basics of economy, trade and how foreign affairs in a pre-industrial world would look like. Finishing season 1 felt satisfying, left me wondering more about what would happen and where our MC was taking the kingdom, after starting off almost being sold to another kingdom by a bankrupt king and ending up fixing the starvation and money issues he gets crowned king and gains a hesitant fiancée on his arm the story slowly progresses of him dealing with finances and trade in their own territory, growing tention and rebellion from the land's 3 general armies, a war is broken out and he fights them all through what I would say was an interesting and effective way of dealing with the conflict that sparked my interest even more. The relationship between the king and his future queen was interesting, felt more realistic than just him gaining a harem and the girls falling madly in-love with them, her feelings of not really wanting to share her beloved, but having to accept it through tradition and duty. Season 2 fell a bit off for me, again interesting season, from dealing with slavery (which took up 1 episode, but had a slight build up to it) to how disease is dealt with in a magical world, the season just quickly built up his harem, which we all saw coming and was a bit predictable, all characters so far though has been likable and interesting, which I would say is a plus for the show, other than the big wind generator (blowing-fan) at the start, the season was alright, not as interesting as season 1. Conclusion, it's a good show, not something mind-blowing, but unique and interesting, would recommend as a comfy show to enjoy.

I did not write a review for last season so I'll log my thoughts on both combined here. It is just what you would expect from an isekai power fantasy, with a bit of a political twist added on top. It hits all the usual tropes and cliches, and I'm not even saying that as a necessarily bad thing - I knew what I was signing up for from the start and it matched my expectations pretty well. Solving stupid issues in stupid easy ways because of his "other world knowledge" and such, it is just par for the course. Despite being easily predictable, it can still give you a bit of that good power trip feeling so was usually ok. But I have to admit, at times the show just spent such a disproportionate amount of time focusing on some of those stupid issues that even my preparation was not enough to cope with it. Gotta reduce the score a bit from what it could've been if they paced it better. The second season is for most part just "more of the same", or maybe even not enough so. Unfortunately it doesn't progress considerably beyond what was already shown in the first season. There is a lot to look forward to on the political scene, both in terms of uniting the human kingdoms as well as the war (or maybe negotiations) with the demons, but we get nothing aside of rounding up the war with the neighbor from last season. Even the new city he started last time is still not finished. It would've been mostly a filler season if not for one attempt at a grandiose "plot twist" or an explanation of some character's previously odd and seemingly weak motivation. Without spoiling further all I can say is it will definitely surprise you and spur some debate and controversy, but it is questionable if it was really necessary. I personally think it does not add anything and is quite meaningless, aside of the potential to use it again in the future which unfortunately was not clarified at all. So just another negative point in the score from me here. I do hope the show carries on, it still has much left to explore. If it ends at this point, I may have to revisit my scores and subtract another couple points for leaving it half-assed.

SPOILER FREE REVIEW - This anime doesn't do anything revolutionary, this anime doesn't do anything special or unique and it doesn't try to be anything it's not. In a way, that's what makes this anime, honestly kind of a masterpiece. It's not one of the best shows you'll ever watch, it's not the best of it's genre by any means. But it's an incredible show with some of the most beautiful flushed out flourishing character design i've seen in a very long time. The story was great. The execution of the plot was terrific. The anime has it's own charm and it follows that charm and it's world building remarkably well. I actually adore this show.
LividBunny
This part of the series was wonderful, there was way more country development, management and not much combat but still wonderful. There isn't much to be said as it was about the same direction as the first season took and my expectations grew even more. Relationship between the characters get closer and even more at the end. The resolution of one of the main line did kind of sadden me and wish it had a different outcome and even shared the emotions of the MC. I just hope it isn't ditched any time soon. Here's hoping to another wonderful sequel.

This review englobes both seasons of the anime when it comes to the isekai genre I would say that it is one of the sanest of the genre. of course there's the inevitable Harem and slavery aspect almost native to the genre nowadays that is a bit sickening however aside from that I do feel like the whole portrayal of a pragmatic but emotive hero is a breathe of fresh air. I was done with the whole nonchalant trend of heros and seeing the MC was a breathe of fresh air. howeverall I personally think that it is a great anime to chill and relax to. that is why I recommend it overall note : 8

-Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki- As one of the isekai anime, this is an anime that is different from most other anime. In this anime, unfortunately you won't find much action, but you will be presented with lots of dialogue and the country's political life. I think this is something very unique and interesting, because it happened in our own world (such as border disputes, international agreements, power struggles, corrupt aristocrats, refugees, etc which are problems that are still happening in our world today). I, as a person who understands these things and learns them, am very satisfied with the stories presented. there is also a lot of knowledge interleaved throughout the story and you can apply this knowledge in your real life. The story is fun and rare for this kind of genre. So I think Realist Hero is a great anime for those who are interested in things like politics, history, economics and such. (but with the spice of romance and harem in it, in my own opinion this is not too disturbing). All the characters are memorable and work well together. I really like how they kept their pace and didn't rush at all but did everything to explain everything that needed explaining. The story is great. The execution of the plot is excellent. This anime has its own charm and builds the world very well. I really like this anime and if possible of course I really hope this continues into season 2.
Zentokirax
The concept is good but what is shocking is that trying to adapt it into 20 minutes of episodes. A concept like this could be very very long, so it was a challenge for sure. And I can't say they managed it so well but they at least seem to successfully convert a long novel into anime. Realist Hero can become boring from time to time. For me it looked like the studio cared about the show so they didn't tried to rush too much. Some dialogues were so long that they took literally more than one episode if I remember correctly. So I would say that Realist Hero is a good anime for those who are interested in stuff like politics, history, economics, and such. But I wouldn't say it's a great one for its audience either since one side of this anime does not meet its name, the Weeb side. There is harem, fanservice, anime-style romance jokes, etc. so I wouldn't dare to call this anime great or a masterpiece in my opinion. Of course, I am not saying that a person can't like politics and weeb stuff at the same time, but I think that the two are not so very compatible for a show. People may think otherwise and some people can really like this show. I think that this anime is definitely enjoyable to some extent.

i enjoyed this series so much the world building works the series up slowly at first but then starts steamrolling and it just works. the reveal in ep 13 is incredible and comes out of nowhere and is a perfect season end point. the characters are all memorable and work well together. i am looking forward to the future of this series cant wait till season 3 hopefully it is sooner rather than later. in summery i highly enjoyed it and 10/10 recommend to watch its a good starting point into isekai anime as it stands out with its character development and avoids common tropes for the most part but even the ones it dose have work well with the story.
