One of the first romance anime I watched and I love it sooo much. And don't now why there are some negatives reviews, the animation is peak, the story is awesome. I completly recommand watch it. The story is unique and captiving. It's sad because they use all of the 7 tomes for the season 1 so why need to wait a looot before we can hope a season 2 to drop. I put this review because.. why not. If you want some same peak romance anime with godanm annimation, I recommand Redo Of Healer, it's pretty similar and the animation are quite beatiful too !

this anime is a wholesome office romance and a top pick for a watch that lets you wind down, shut off for a little, and just enjoy fluff (⑅˘͈ᵕ˘͈ ) the absence of any gratuitous drama makes the plot very light and enjoyable, giving the show an opportunity to focus on the three main couples! the cast is small and the anime uses that to a great advantage as each couple has their time to shine. for having an adult cast though, all romantic progress was notably slow but it kinda fit the wholesome theme so i didn't really mind as far as slow burns go. i hope for a second season so we can see the couples (especially our main one) develop (preferably also without any toilsome drama to weigh down the show). i give this an 8.5/10 but will round it up on mal :) edit: i've decided i'll round it down lol SORRY

Reasons to watch: -Every episode will leave you happy and relaxed. -Adult relationships, set in a "too good to be true" office environment where the boss is Buddha. -The side characters all end up being best friends. -It's the magical romance for adults that you have been waiting for. Reasons not to watch: -You hate romance. -You don't care for relaxing slice-of-life. -Cute cartoon cats make you sneeze. -You don't have a computer or TV or any way to stream it. Don't try to rationalize the supernatural elements. It's all metaphor, right? Just watch and enjoy. And because the MAL algorithm wants more info to publish my review: This is an unusual take on the office romance genre. What if Wotakoi was a relaxing magical story with supernatural elements? The art and music are great, and really suit the style of animation. I'll be adding the music to my playlists. Both our main protagonists, and the side characters, have depth and show growth over the course of the story. They are the sort of people you hope to meet in real life.

This was one of my favorite anime of its cour. I looked forward to it every Tuesday and I'm sad to see it go. It was a great screwball comedy with a warm heart despite both the leads being shy and aloof. The supporting cast were also wacky and welcomed, and it was nice to see the group moments as the romance built. Sometimes the pacing felt a little slow, but that was partially due to the nature of the main characters who are both rather reserved people. If the anime returns for another cour, I will 100% watch it immediately. I can't wait to see what happens next. If you like low key romance between colleagues with a bit of a fairytale flair, then this anime is for you. If you're looking for something with a bit more assertiveness to its romance then you might get bored. This is the type of anime that's good watch when you want something calm and nice.

It was a good anime for sure it had lot of cute moments for kyun-kyun fans the storyline basically goes on a slow flow from start to end that's for sure it doesn't have ups or downs from my perspective it goes on a steady pace the character design were good for sure but lacked emotional touch i guess but it was a plus point also they expressed feeling from there eyes mostly on that part production house did a good part the animation was good but could be a little more better Conclusion is that it comes and goes from your life without creating much impact but gives uh some good moments during the watch phase

This was actually a nice surprise and a whole star better than I thought it would be. This anime is wholesome and uses that to propel the developing relationship between the two main characters forward. There is also no extraneous drama so the plot isn’t dragged down by over the top dramatic developments. Although one thing that this series would have to improve on going forward is that the development of the two main character’s relationship does often come at the expense of the other two couples. If this series were to continue, that’s what should be the focus of developing the story; continue to develop all three main couples whilst also having no extraneous drama.

A workplace romance with little new to offer despite the premise. Good to see an adult cast romance, however the characters act pretty much like high schoolers. We learn very little about any characters despite some very pointed expositionary dialogue at times, which is even remarked on in the show. Yokai elements aren't over explained, but are also a bit too undefined and repetitive, making them just seem like a gimmick. The secondary characters provide much needed balance to the icy main pair, but are pretty trope-y with basic personalities. Romantic progression isn't too rushed, but is also a bit too slow that borders on boring. A rough final episode in multiple ways, the final scene itself seems to emphasise how little has progressed since episode 1. There's a weird eye fidgeting animation throughout the show that became distracting almost right away. Despite the premise and world building, a bog standard romance with little progression, shallow characters and relying on the most trope-y of tropes of the genre. 5/10

Did you ever watched an anime and felt like something is missing? First of all there’s gonna be quite a few comparisons of Ice Guy with Wotakoi for a purpose of showing how better Wotakoi managed to handle some aspects. If you like slow-paced romance anime you should deffinitely give it a try. Thing is that it’s slow-paced maybe little bit too much... Relying mainly on wholesome moments with lot of blushing does not have to be always as rewarding. There wasn’t really anything which would spice the show up and make the progress in neither of the relationships development more obvious and impactful. As an enjoyer of pieces like Wotakoi and The Dangers in my heart I found it similar in several aspects. In case of Wotakoi mainly setting of the show and in case of the second one wholesomeness and childish blushing type of scenes which are like main part of all their encounters and boy there is a plenty of them! Nevertheless both of the previously mentioned shows had better set up of these interactions as well as the relationship development throughout the series. STORY:6/10 Story takes part in office work enviroment which is lately used more often, but I still apreciate much more then generic high school setting. In contrast with classical office theme there is more diverese enviroment as our main characters have multiple tours, business trips, natural phenomena etc. Office enviroment as such is made on point so it makes all of these mentioned only good addition. Nevertheless narrative of the show is special thanks to it’s mythology theme. Show differs from others office romances because of this idea uniting diverse fantasy characters and setting like that. As any effort to be original should be aprreciated and I didn’t see any animes of this type in my 400 completed pieces, I’ll do so. Plot seems little bit stoic because there is a little of tension building, thereto all scenes that tries to do something close to this are mainly shallow "wholesome" type with again lot of blushing. Obviously it’s slow-paced anime similar to slice-of-life and not drama, but it doesn’t need overly dramatic scenes just something which makes the whole process of convergence of characters more complex. Everything seems going too easy and smooth and in consenquence these wholesome scenes start to be repetetive quite quickly and plot as such can be lanky. Culmination of this series was also dissapointing as it was made in cliché way „we end where we start". In addition there is no major progress in their relationship if you consider they are adults. Holding hands and lap pillow is something which is really not that of an leap if you are older than 18. It’s same thing that bothered me in Wotakoi kissing scene as well, because in my opinion is always better to make things happen naturally then postpone it in every opportunity which drops credibility and satisfaction of important interactions. In case of the Wotakoi there was at least reasonable adjustment to make it like that as MC was introverted geek with no experience who finally acknowledges FMC’s with all her flaws and pluses, so he don’t want to rush anything. If you also consider bad past relationships experiences of FMC it’s only understandable. So what’s the point of me saying this? Simply there is pretty much no reason for authors to make this romance so immature as characters weren’t introduced with any serious reasons to act in such immature way as grown ups. Himuro is the closest to be like that as he has a hard time managing his emotions, but there is literally same type of "teen" reaction used for each character in romantic situations. If you remember wotakoi again we have only two pairs and they are completely different. CHARACTERS:7/10 Main characters Himuro and Fuyutsuki have nice chemistry, but unfortunatelly in the end of the series they still seem pretty distant. Again probably the main cause of this is either intention of the authors to make it really slow OR stoic scenes which doesn’t really make such a big progress in their realtionship. There were two maybe three exceptions which were more impactful, otherwise it feels more like teen romance or romantic subtext show without deeper progress then the emergence of love between adults. Still both of their characters are mostly fun to watch with little bit of an reverse characteristic sexual traits where Himuro often acts more femine then Fuyutsuki as he’s usually more blushfull, emotive and sensitive thanks to his Yuki Onna personality. Now my favourite character Komori-san which could easily had sequel herself and I would love it. She often acts as an "matchmaker" to our main duo and her main purpose is comic relief. Either way she is supporting character, I catched myself to be pulled into hers and Saejima’s relationship development more then into main one. Other supportive characters are fine, but not as standoutish as Komori which brightness the screen as soon as she enters the room. Buddha Manager was interesting way to portrait an office boss. ART:9/10 What needs to be highlighted is artstyle of the characters which was most likely major focus. The way how especially female characters like Komori and Fuyutsuki look in some shots is almost breathtaking. Some details can be top-notch precise when screen is focusing only on one character. The expressions and emotions of characters are very easily readable because of so well detailed artwork. Surroundings and architecture is made almost just as well. The way how authors worked with colors while creating made the art looked very realistic. SOUND:7/10 First of all the beat of the opening always made my head bounce like on concert of Busta Rhymes. I am usually not big of a fan of lofi beats, but this one fits my taste perfectly. In comparsion ED has jazz-type like beat supplemented by the singer's pleasant voice which slows things down. Music and sound throughout the show wasn’t anything special. ENJOYMENT:6/10 As an average slice-of-life enjoyer I don’t mind temperate approach to the story. However this time mainly plot processing and MC didn’t manage to pull me in as easily. There wasn’t any boredom from my side, but neither any deeper interest. OVERALL:6,5/10 Are you an wholesome romance comedy enjoyer? Go for it! The main thrust of the are very well made animations and some romantic or funny interactions between few truly interesting characters like Fuyutsuki, Yukimin and my favourite Komori, but other than that it’s nothing extraordinary. Still it’s an above average heartwarming anime to watch to shorten a long evening maybe even with your partner. Unfortunately The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague doesn’t match my requirements to recommend it wholeheartedly.

This anime is really good. After watching this, I plan to read the manga as it was really good and I got curious about what will happen. The anime keeps you hooked from start to end. There is no thrilling plot. It is a very relaxing, easy-going, quite slow paced anime. The characters are all mature as they are adults so, there is no unnecessary drama. The main characters are level headed and have fantastic personalities. So it it very hard to not support their romance and their relationship. The side characters are all very engaging and have quite quirky personalities too so it is really nice to see them interacting with one another. The romance between all the characters, especially the main leads, are a bit of a slow burn, but they are fulfilling and worthwhile. The characters have a lot of growth in them and you can slowly see them change and become a better version of their selves over time. I really enjoyed this anime a lot. If you want to feel relaxed, see characters have growth, and see a cute and fulfilling romance than this anime is worth it.

This anime is CUTE. The eye animations when they look at each other is super cute. The snowmen are cute. The snowstorms when something embarrassing or romantic happens are cute, even the other characters are cute. Post-school romances are usually harder to find, but this anime does a good job of making a nice, cute, "workplace-centered" romance work. The downsides being: It's very slow, the humor is dry, the characters can be dry at times too. The female MC's personality is supposed to be dry and low key which breaks standards female personalities in anime, but that is a nice change of pace for some. The setting is even in an office, so inherently not very exciting. Even so, every episode I end up smiling.

Many people may find this anime are too good to be reality.. but it is what it is... I enjoy alot of flat anime like this more than action anime.. if you like romance or slice of life with a little unique version I really recommended this anime to watch. I really like the art, i've been watching alot of romance anime but their problem always on art, I like the story but art will give some weird or even sometimes i don't like it.. but this anime is bring so many colour to my eyes and make my heart calm everytime I watch it

A slice of life with a sprinkle of fantasy. People in this show can have certain inheritance that makes them special. Our main guy can control snow based on his emotions. I love this premise because there’s a lot that one can do with this power. Even though this anime did not take full advantage of its premise, I still had a sweet time with it. The main couple were both reserved people, but one can express his emotion through his snow ability. I love the dynamic where one character helped control the emotion of the other character. It made the other feel like the missing piece all along. With slow pacing, there were plenty of cute moments that slowly but surely built the couple’s relationship. They did not interact a lot, but each interaction was sweet and precious. It’s probably the most chill romcom anime of winter 2023, but it had all the sweet moments. 8-8.5/10

This was a very nice little romance anime. The two main characters were really cute and had a fun dynamic. It’s not often you get a series where the male lead is a soft blushing fellow always getting embarrassed and freaking out over his love interest. And the way it’s expressed using his “Yuki-onna” heritage was super fun (especially the snowmen). In fact, the whole ‘fantastical creatures’ aspect of the series, with many of the characters being descendants of famous Japanese mythical monsters (?) was a cool premise. The only problem I really had with this series is focus; I would have loved it if we could have seen much, much more of the main pair, and less of the side characters. The side characters had their own charm, but they weren’t nearly as interesting to me as the main guy and gal. Adult, office romances, are few and far between, and having screen time divided up among all the various office-people caused me to kind of lose interest. Needed them to spend more time on the title folks. All in all, a fun read. I believe the manga for this has recently been licensed; I may check it out, but not sure yet. Will definitely peep a season 2 if they make one though.

In the beginning you will (obviously) feel like there is no character development and at the end you will feel like you did in the beginning.. Even though this show is kinda heartwarming it brings absolutely nothing new even when you mix the supernatural.. How did the writter managed that feat? Well first of all, like I said in the beginning, there is no character development. Second the romance's pace is slower than me on Sundays. Third it didn't really bring anything new to the table, there are a lot of other rom-coms that did what this anime tried to do, but way better. Fourth the last episode was a real drag to watch, it felt right from the start that absolutely nothing would happen. Fifth if you take the very little, and I mean pea-sized, romance from this anime it absolutely dies out. It has nothing. Since this is supposed to be a rom-com and there isn't much "com" to begin with and the rom is, again, pea-sized, taking the pea out of the plate would mean you would have no meal whatsoever. I'm giving it a 5/10, and this is a stretch already. Because it is kinda heartwarming at times and the characters are kinda likeable.. and even though you will get hand-holding by around the end of season 10 and the first confession at season 27, and if you are lucky your grandchildren will be able to witness this MC's first kiss (if medicine and science manage to extend the human life expectancy).. Despite all that, I can't really blame the romance of being stale, because it isn't.. it's super duper uber snail-like slow, but it is still moving.. I guess..

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague The title should have been " The Flustered Guy and His Adorable Colleague " the story is really good the first episode has more progression than alot of 12 episode anime which is exactly why the anime gets better each episode, the anime shows that not being direct and not going to an ecchi route still maes a good romance even in modern day anime where " soft jokes " are considered normal . Both the MCs are fine but there's one char who's not the main char yet steals the show and thats non other than my beloved " Komori " she stands along side Fuyutsuki, the perfect main char energy with adorable looks !! I'll read the manga with the motivation to get to see more of Komori, The main couple still got my eyes HAHA ! Well the show is a great watch if you prefer mature romance than shoujo/school !

After finishind the anime i can finally write a review about it. To get it out of the way, the premise of the anime is: Our main character is the descendant of a snow woman, so he produces ice depending on his mood(Strong emotions mostly). And we have our main love interest, who is pretty stoic. Although the premise seemed interesting, safe to say it was a bit underwhelming. The main problem i have with the anime is that: It seems that the author wanted to write an Highschool rom-com but ended up writing one that takes place in a working enviroment. Characters have their own lives. but they are never developed (We only see them hanging out together). Also they don't act like adults whatsoever; he reactions are cringe. and not the "anime" cringe we know of. My second biggest issue with it is: Side characters are absolutely useless, we have a romance brewing between the fox girl and the black haired boy, for example. Nothing happens AT ALL, all of the scenes between the two are straight fluff, glazing the main " couple" for days. It gets old FAST, after the second epishode i just starred fast forwarding their scenes. My third and final problem is: How absolutely mundane this production is, my bar for romance anime is pretty high i would say. But this level of boredom from a singular media is just insane to me. I don't recalll everthing perfectly, but i swear there legit are a few epishodes with almost nothing of interest happening. Overall i believe 6/10 is a fitting review for this anime, do i recommend it? Maybe if you want to watch some adult romance, also would like a gimmicky plot point, also already watched wotakoi; Go ahead! give it a shot.

As much as I wanted to rate this higher, I couldn't. To start, I love the art animation, the setting. It's a wholesome story and I loved chill vibe (no pun intended). Where it fails though, is feeling incomplete. Every episode I wanted just a *little* bit more, but never got it. I figured the end of the show would be fireworks, but it was a bit anti climactic and didn't deliver in a way I had hoped. If it wasn't for that, I could put this at an 8.5-9/10. That being said, if there ever is a second season, I'll check it out and I do think it's worth watching, but there is better.

I never thought a show about dry romance could be so good. Ok let me explain what I mean by ‘dry romance’. It’s like the difference between dry humor and other kinds of humor. Kind of like deadpan comedy, it’s comedy delivered without gusto or any kind of inflection. These are just my personal definitions but what I consider the difference between deadpan and dry humor is this: deadpan humor focuses on juxtaposing absurdist comment/situations in a tone that makes them seem totally serious, while dry humor takes a more casual approach to the delivery (closer to sarcasm). The reason I’m bringing all of this up is because while one of these characters does take the love very seriously and has all of the absurd anime reactions you’d expect from an anime, the show is very laid back, casual and cool with its delivery. I don’t know if this was intentional, because it could be seen as the creators just not giving a damn, but the way this fantastical world and the romance is shown so mundanely and casually actually works in the show's favor. It’s possible I was just tired out from all the overly energetic shit, but this rom com just felt so much more mature. I mean it’s not really, but Fuyutsuki in particular was just so refreshing with her laid back attitude that she made the atmosphere of the show just so easy to watch. The color palette was bland, the music was quiet, the line deliveries were calm and serene, even the mystical elements were just ordinary and the romance itself was just chill and casual. All of this created such a welcoming atmosphere. Like more just a cute day in life rather than a cringefest of crazy children. Himuro’s mystical powers aren’t this dazzling thing, but just a cute quirk. It’s dry and that’s just what I needed. Now some of the side characters are really annoying and almost break the casual vibe, and I won’t pretend like it’s super deep or anything, it’s just a show with a nice atmosphere. It’s still love, but not all love has to be super romantic. Sometimes it’s just nice.

The premise of the story seemed quite interesting but throughout the entire series it felt like something was still missing. The concept or story line could have been executed differently than what actually unfolded throughout the mere 12 episodes. Leading a normal life as a descendent of an ancestral being sparks the imagination in such a spectacular way. To be honest the missing piece was the "WOW" factor. Romance is not my favourite genre, but I have started to enjoy it more recently and this certainly did not meet my expectations as some of the other series I have been watching. There is a lot of similarities to other series like Wotakoi but you won't feel the same enjoyment as the season comes to a close. The animation was one of the best parts of the anime. It was absolutely stunning and kept me engaged even when the story begun to fall off completely. It kept me wanting more in a very strange way, not in the way where you get excited for a new episode but in a way that you are hoping that the next episode will give you what you're looking for. I also did like the opening and ending themes and the VAs were great. For anyone looking for something to watch to just pass the time I would totally recommend it, but if you're looking for something new and exciting this might not be the watch for you.

I'm not sure I'd compare this to Wotakoi, although it is a laid-back adult romance. I'd recommend going in expecting a laid-back comedy about people who don't find it naturally easy to navigate the world forming a community. It's simple and easy to watch, very relaxing. Honestly picking apart this anime in a critical sense would miss the point, it's an enjoyable and relaxing show that I'd recommend to anyone. They got everything right they needed to and didn't overreach. Will it get a season 2? Not sure. I am interested in the manga now though so it's done it's job from that perspective. Frankly, just give it a shot. Especially if your stressed/anxious/nervous.
