Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest Season 3

Binged the entire season. Literally waited until all of the eps were released, not an easy thing. Patience is NOT always rewarded... Characters: just as fun as the first two seasons with some added harem-esque additions (no spoilers there) Plot:.... abysmal and disappointing and bad and other adjectives. It is a repetitive bs plot that basically retells the same thing from each character's POV each episode.... BORING AF!!! Literally fell asleep around ep7.... FFS who wrote this??? Had to force myself to finish it because I loved the first 2 seasons... end of report. Cannot divulge/expunge enough verbiage and adjectives to expound this statement. Supremely, utterly, totally, completely, absolutely, finitely, DISAPPOINTED.

Arifureta Season 3 — The penultimate calm before the storm that's the midway point towards the climax of the adaptation of its final volumes. It's both good and bad at best (at this point) really... It's safe/tumultuous(?) to say for a few years running now that novelist Ryo Shirakome has had his series being lambasted by the overall planning of its absurdly poor and lacklustre adaptation, that it will still feel the same regardless of how many seasons have gone in the years since it first arrived on the anime scene back in Summer 2019. But with 5 plus years gone by and 2 seasons down the drain with a 3-year gap in between each of them, does Season 3 at least redeem some of the misconceptions the anime community had for Arifureta as a whole? With the newest season of Arifureta being a rather lengthy 16-episode season, this, at least to me, is a blessing for the series up to this point, because the AniManga industry has, for years, "perfected" the art of compressing LN adaptations, so much so that content can be taken out of context if you never (or don't bother) to read the source material. At least for this case, it's more of being the exception to the rule, that the producers somehow saw the error in their ways and attempted to do some damage control to the series to bring back some of its glory and finally give the people what they want: an honest-to-goodness adaptation of a work that has been heavily criticized in many ways that we could not think that Arifureta would recover from such missteps. But here we are, and at the very least, the redemption arc starts from here onward. Anywho, with Season 3 covering Volumes 7 to 10 of the LN, we're at the midpoint mark heading towards the climax that Ryo Shirakome has been cooking in the process, which is just as you'd expect: the fight between good and evil in this rather large Isekai adventure to save the weak and make them strong, and kill the narcissists who know no better. But instead of going straight to the Final Boss, we take a breather for the training arcs that have been brewing since the very beginning: the rabbitwoman of Shea Haulia, as well as Hajime Nagumo's own classmates in becoming strong as they face the endless labyrinth trials. Tackling Shea's worries is the easiest matter of the two for Hajime and the gang to counter, because it literally involves her entire Haulia Tribe and the postmortem of events that led to their tribe being ousted by their own demihuman group still reeling from the effects of their fight against the humans, and the liberation of redemption that the rabbitmen under Shea's father Cam's leadership are not as useless as they think. Once that is done and dusted, then come the trials of the Great Tree as Hajime and the gang attempt to surpass and overcome their weaknesses and insecurities in order to save those worth Hajime's time to be brought back to Japan. Once again, to survive in the ever-so-unforgivable fantasy world is to never ever underestimate Hajime Nagumo, for his exploits at this stage of the game are now more serious with his non-BS attitude, alongside his harem of Yue, Shea, and Tio, as well as the remainder of the classmates whom he deems are worth at least salvaging and useful to his endeavour of eventually going back to their original world. At least on the end of his classmates with Kaori, hero Koki, and the rest together with him, they've seen the bad and should expect even worse going deeper into the rabbit hole, because anything and everything could smear life or death throes at any time should they ever be even the bit careless. Hajime is not a man who'll spend time needlessly; he has places to go and execute his plans at the soonest because, to him, time is opportunity, and this saying rings true when he has the responsibility for keeping everyone together, safe and sound. He's not the edgy character that we've come to know since the very start, (no) thanks to the barrage of betrayals he's suffered from the get-go, which teaches him to only value the people that see him otherwise...which in turn, earns the affections of not only Yue and Tio in prior seasons, but greatly to much effect for both Shea and Kaori, especially for Season 3 here. I need not re-emphasize the elephant in the room that is the overall production of the series, and even I'm tired at this point to say that asread. will never honour what Arifureta was supposed to be animation-wise, even when support studios like White Fox (for Season 1) and studio MOTHER (for Season 2) were there to help the lacklustre studio achieve a somewhat presentable look to the series, even by the slightest details of mediocre to average animation. If anything, don't ever count on the animation to help elevate the series' climax whenever it comes. The music...is somewhat also another point of uninspiring. Somehow, every season's OST just gets even worse than the last, and at least on the point that Void_Chords always have the time to shine collaborating with MindaRyn for the 2 OPs this season, which are decent songs at best. The EDs, on the other hand, are a whole other story, with DOBERMAN INFINITY's K-pop and iScream's J-pop songs just being plain forgettable at best (though the latter is the better of the 2). Overall, Season 3 is just the stopgap measure right before the very climax of the series to date in terms of Arifureta's adaptation, and I completely understand if the minimalist of efforts are done here just so to push the heavyweight of the tank onto the final leg of its journey, because "it's not (just) how you start, (but) it's how you finish". If (I believe) this is (to be) so, the staff team better be ready to deliver the epic finality to the series and give its all to give Ryo Shirakome's work its much-needed redemption from its horrible start to the polish it woefully deserves for its final season. As of this moment, Arifureta is palpable and no longer the bad apple that it once was in its own infamy, so much so that if you've been wanting to give this series a go, it's still not too late to do so. The wait now lingers upon the final descent...

The only thing this show excels at is being horny. Most characters are flatter than Yue's chest, especially the side characters. I came here in the naive hope that maybe they'd take it a step up from season 2 and actually get some character development going for the side characters. But nope this whole season is 100% completely predictable and happens exactly how you think it would happen all characters stay essentially the same Especially Koki which is their biggest fumble when it comes to writing. Imagine writing such an inherently flawed and hateable character but turning away every single opportunity to try and change or improve him the moment with Eri was probably the biggest one but in this season again there were again a few major easy opportunities and the writing is just absolutely soulless and unrealistic. If the character is a male then by definition the writing is non existent, and even for the MC it's still not even that good. This show was maybe like a 7 back in episode 1 of season 1 but it's gone steadily down overtime and over these seasons and episode. Actually I'd say it pretty much stagnated already halfway season 1, and stagnation is the same as getting worse. Eri is uninteresting, boring and an ass villain as well. Should have died a whole season ago and yet they are still keep trumping her up. At least we didn't have to deal with actual children being in sexual situations this season but somehow it's still not any better than season 2 and season 2 was already pretty awful. I already quickly started to dislike this show for even a part of season 1 but it's just become worse and worse. Not worth a season 4 but at this point nothing surprises me if they make one.. any sane person can already write down exactly what will happen in season 4 and the worst part is that you know it's going to be true because this show never, ever does something unexpected or any major form of character development. There's always that 1% chance but I've been disappointed time and time again watching them fumble every single opportunity to have better character writing. The story and world building isn't really any better but I can pass that off as normal or mediocre if the characters had been good. But they are not they are just bland even the ones they do give attention range from a 6~7/10 when it comes to writing. With probably the bunny being the least boring SOMEHOW even though she has such a simple character already, somehow that simplicity makes it the only character that feel half decent. I get that it's a brainless isekai Harem anime but that doesn't excuse it being this bad. They literally just ignore 90% of the classmates and the ones that they don't ignore and give screen time they somehow still mostly ignore. Every resolution and conclusion is unsatisfying and bad. Koki is such a punching bag for the writer that it practically makes you nauseous, bro got SA'd had a classmate killed in front of him and by the person that harassed him and still there's no change in his character, the sole reason for his existence is so the writer can kick him down. And the only other male present who's emptier than a sheet of paper (I still don't get why they didn't just take the assassin guy along even he was more interesting) and yet somehow watching him is less frustrating because at least he also doesn't really get any attention and screen time so at least the writer isn't even pretending with that one. I hope to all that is Holy that writer at least realized the irony of one of his few moments being about "I'm nothing but a side character" because goddamn you're just calling your own writing out at that point. Bro barely qualifies as that he's basically a background character. But at least it's seems somewhat self aware. Koki's writing is just beyond disgustingly bad. "We have Mitsurugi Kyouya at home" headass, bro is a Parody of a Parody to the point where it's Post Ironic garbage. The only reason this show can possibly be rated a 7 on average is HORNY. Because that's literally all it's got even the humor which it kind of had at some points in the beginning of season 1 is 90% misses and just feels weird. 4/10 Because I've seen worse, but I haven't seen many things that are worse.

Arifureta Season 1 was one of the first handful of reviews I wrote on MAL and I gave it a 6/10, noting how the story and characters were good, but the art and animation were extremely poor compared to other shows - especially the god-awful CGI. I haven't reviewed Season 2 (yet), but I will say here that I do believe everything about it was an improvement over Season 1. As for Season 3... The art and animation are yet again poor. For a supposedly popular anime that has a lot of fight scenes, the quality of the animation is just generally very low, being on the level of some of the generic slop we keep getting multiple times a year. It's sad, as I believe Arifureta could be so much more. The Story of Season 3 seems to cover several arcs, with the first part of the season covering Shea and the Haulias rebelling against a country that persecutes them, while the second half is the whole group conquering another dungeon. I cannot say much more without delving into spoiler territory, but this season focusses on "self-discovery" and "coming to terms with oneself", with those concepts being major parts of the second arc. Despite seeing across various discussion boards that this season should cover some really good arcs, a lot of what was portrayed just did not hit the mark on the emotional front for me. Although there was a lot of character development, the ever-lacklustre animation and art quality in Arifureta's anime made it fall flat in a lot of places. As an anime-only, I cannot speak for how things are portrayed in the LN, but Season 3 really upped-the-anti on the whole harem-side of Arifureta as well. Although even as an anime-only, I knew the story had harem elements, it didn't over-shadow the action or the emotional moments in either Season 1 or Season 2 (as much), whereas in Season 3, it seems to be a large part of what's happening. I don't want to spoil anything, but quite a few of the serious moments end up being "OMG, I love Hajime!", or "OMG, I'm so jealous of Hajime!" and it ends up kind of cringe, instead of the emotional character development it was going for. Overall, I can't help but feel as though this season was a major rush-job on behalf of the studio, with only enough effort to meet contractual demands being put in. If Season 4 gets released and it's the same, or worse, I might consider this on the same level as Seven Deadly Sins in terms of poorly handled IPs. The part of me that loves this series wants me to say 6/10, the more critical side of me says it's a 5/10 at best - as I'd much rather re-watch S1 or S2 than re-watch S3. I'll go with 6/10 and Mixed Feelings, which is the same as I gave S1 - Less terrible CGI, but rushed/poorly-adapted story evens it out to about the same.

I'm so happy my favorite anime is getting a third season! For the third season, it continues the MC's journey, and most importantly, it doesn't beat around the bush. There are quite a few anime that get a second or third season, but don't make good use of it, instead adding filler or unimportant stories. I like the Graphic Quality, there are no shortcomings from previous seasons. Maybe the only drawback is in the action part, honestly from the first season, this anime doesn't show epic fights, mostly just ordinary fights and less than perfect CGI, for example, like the snake in the previous season which was too stiff. The reason I like this anime is because the MC's nature is not naive, always sticks to his own definition, doesn't hesitate between helping or killing, there's not much drama. I hope this anime will have a 4th season soon, considering that this anime is still not finished with the Invasion spoiler in the last episode. I expected more in the Action part, maybe that's all, I'm looking forward to season 4 guys!

I'm going to do my darned best not to spoil anything in this review. This isn't a terribly daunting task as there's hardly anything to spoil during the entirety of S3. To attempt to watch S3 without having seen S1 and S2 is pointless. Don't even bother. S3 doesn't even really have its own story arc; it's more like a single episode of story content excruciatingly drawn out over an entire season. So what does S3 deliver instead of a story? Relationship checks. Yup, that's it. It's one relationship check after the next after the next and the whole season is like that start to finish, with barely anything else going on at all. Technically they're continuing their adventure, but the adventure itself is essentially an afterthought to these relentless relationship checks. The problem is that Arifureta before S3 is adventure first, harem second. After two seasons of baiting this, S3 turns hard into a harem only. You could be forgiven for forgetting the context entirely, it's that lightly covered in S3. Personally, I would doubt that people are watching this show primarily for the harem, which is nothing special, even below average. The reason to watch Arifureta is that it is a very well done isekai power fantasy. Or was; S3 ends this appeal, there is never any sense of danger at all, no foe or challenge that isn't easily overcome. Despite S3 clearly having a much larger budget than what produced the hilariously so-bad-it's-good CGI of the first season, it's a far less interesting use of time. With S3, Arifureta joins the unfortunately large number of solid shows that were turned into mailing-it-in cash grabs that don't satisfy. I will probably watch S4 with the same skeptical not expecting much out of this series anymore feeling that I hit after Shield Hero S2.

The third was a great season for the series. The main problem I have for the series is the fact that some of the events were omitted or switched around for plot support. The reactions of some characters were out of place. Although, if you can overlook that, Season 3 was great. Can't wait for the final season. The art style was very consistent from season to season. The battles and events of the labyrinths were detailed. I thoroughly enjoyed the season and I am waiting for the news of the final season. I think the true fireworks of this series will be delievered to us in the final season.

When Season 2 ended on such a tense and unresolved note, I was genuinely eager and a bit anxious to see what direction Season 3 would take. Thankfully, it exceeded all my expectations. Watching this season felt like experiencing that triumphant moment in a survival RPG, where after years of grinding and struggling, you finally become the strongest player on the leaderboard. That satisfaction, that sense of earned power and clarity, it hits hard, especially by the end of Episode 16. The story picks up with renewed energy and emotional depth. Hajime Nagumo’s evolution as a character remains one of the most satisfying arcs I’ve seen in isekai anime. From a betrayed, broken student left to die in the abyss, he’s become a force of nature and not just in strength, but in willpower, confidence, and clarity of vision. Season 3 explores not just his outer battles, but his internal journey. One of the core themes this season really hammers home is this: before conquering the enemies outside, one must confront the chaos within. That message deeply resonated with me. There’s a strong psychological undercurrent throughout the season. Hajime and his companions are no longer just battling monsters or labyrinth bosses -they’re wrestling with identity, guilt, past trauma, and the weight of their decisions. It adds a powerful layer to the narrative, making the high-stakes battles feel even more meaningful. What I appreciated the most was how the so-called “harem” dynamic was handled. Despite several strong female characters surrounding Hajime, there’s a refreshing lack of cliché. None of the characters are there simply for romantic comedy or fan service - they all have unique motivations, growth, and an unwavering respect for Hajime. And Hajime, despite all the admiration directed his way, remains loyal and committed to Yue. Their relationship is handled maturely and sincerely, and that’s rare in this genre. Tio also deserves a special mention. Her oddball personality and comic timing brought a lot of levity to otherwise intense moments. She keeps the group dynamic light without taking away from the serious tone of the overall arc. The pacing of the season is tight, the action sequences are thrilling, and the emotional payoffs are well-earned. But what truly got me was the ending. The reveal that gods and demons are now taking direct interest in Hajime’s journey sets the stage for something far grander than anything we’ve seen so far. It’s both exciting and terrifying - knowing that despite everything Hajime has overcome, the biggest challenges are still ahead. Season 3 of Arifureta is more than just an action-packed fantasy continuation - it’s a meaningful, character-driven story of survival, redemption, loyalty, and personal growth. It’s about rising not just in strength, but in spirit. The writing has matured, the characters have evolved, and the world has expanded. If you’ve stuck with the series so far, this season will feel like a huge reward for your patience. 10/10 without a doubt. And yes, I absolutely can’t wait for Season 4.

Honestly the season didn't created much impact with this season, although the story progressed but it felt like the original aroma was off but at the same time it was great too... as always the mc was badass and we saw a few more girls being added in his harem and some taking intrest while the story also covere his classmates stories and those scene's needed for story to progress it still felt dull watchn ( not just particularly directing to side characters ) ...but this season just covered clearing labirynth or dungeon without any third party or some other villain tryn to stop them.. [ basically the season was about detailed background checks of side characters and thier convictions ] while the main story and really fun arc starts next ....so sincerely ask everyone to wait for next season and hope it would come out

Well, I find the anime a great and highly enjoyable Isekai. Season 3 continues the series perfectly and delivers exactly what fans want. This season felt especially relaxing to watch. After a long day it was perfect to just sit back and enjoy Hajime and his party doing what they do best. The highlight for me was how the MC’s harem finally became complete — the relationships feel warm, fun, and satisfying. Some truly sweet and spicy moments between Hajime and the girls that made the season extra enjoyable. The story continues naturally with new adventures, stronger enemies, and more exploration of the world. The pacing is fast and smooth like always — great action, clever solutions from Hajime, and satisfying power moments. It never gets boring and keeps that light, entertaining feeling throughout. Perfect for relaxing and switching off. Hajime is still the ultimate badass we love. This season the harem really shines — the dynamics between Yue, Shea, Tio, and the new additions feel complete and heartwarming. The group chemistry is excellent, the banter is funny, and you can really feel the bond between all of them. Very satisfying development. The animation is solid with nice action scenes and beautiful moments with the girls. The music keeps the epic yet relaxing power-fantasy vibe, and the voice acting does a great job bringing the characters and humor to life. Season 3 is another strong entry in the series. Fast, fun, relaxing, and full of satisfying harem moments. If you enjoyed the first two seasons, this one will make you happy. Highly Recommended for anyone who wants a chill, entertaining power fantasy isekai. WATCH IT. You’ll have a great time with Hajime and his complete harem. 🔥

Well... The third season was ceirtanly something that happend. In this third season.... Honestly not much happens at all. They enter the "Empire" who are an evil faction so generic and so one dimensional that you'd think they were written by Disney. Honestly it's just bad writing when your villains are this easy to hate and you really can't say they did anything right.A sign you're overprotective of your OP MC and you don't want his judgement to be tested in any way shape or form. Then they clear some .... whatever labyrinths and achieve their goal.Just like that.Literally zero effort at least on the MC's side of things. This whole talk of returning home. Something i'll get at a tad later. Three seasons in and the animation has not improved ONE bit. It's still the same atrocious low frame count and CGI pain.Even normal soliders standing around are CGI. The isekai treatment basically. Some weak studio wanted to cement their legacy as lazy good-for-nothing animators by visually butchering a work they feel deserves it or something among those lines.Because otherwise i can't wrap my head around the decisions to hit people with this atrocious quality. Not in this one,and not in any other isekai that gets this treatment. Now..... I'll give the one praise i have for this season. The one thing that makes it stand out from the sea of generic isekai. The ideea of the last dungeon.Of course,as much as i like that ideea,it's wasted on these characters that are once again, boring and one dimensional. But it's still a good ideea and it deserves the praise. Back to the bad stuff. And this is more of a personal gripe then actual critique of the show itself and the writing behind it.Because from the MC's perspective i can't lie and say i don't see it.The returning home bit that is. But i have to say it right now.... I will NEVER understand this wish.To return home to our world. This world. You have a once in a lifetime opportunity to become something greater then you'd ever even thought of,but all you can think of is return to your original world so you can be average Bob. A cog in the machine. Especially in japan where the work culture is crazy toxic and the chances to become an actual slave working for a black company is high.I bet Nagumo can't wait to work for the rest of his days, and return home to his loving wives who are also dead tired so he can see them 1-2 hours a day.Like really man? Really? Of course, once again, i can see it from their perspective as well, especially in this particular fantasy world where the god is actively trying to have you fail and stuff.... But i'd still rather take my chances there and not here where i know for a fact i won't ammount to anything worthwhile. With that out of the way... I must say i never felt any of the emotional highs and rewards of this show.It all felt so cheap and undeserved. And more like a joke then anything serious.Especially with all these one dimensional characters... At this point even the MC is just as one dimensional. And while having one character like that isn't the end of the world...It's bad when all of them are like so. Yeah... I can't really recommend this outside of passing the time.Maybe the manga or LN is better,i don't know. But this anime took all interest i ever had of checking it out.It felt cheap,it felt rushed,it felt just bad all around.Even as a way to pass the time i'm starting to have my doubts.I mean there's still worse you could watch but that doesn't make this one good.

This season was kinda disappointing. Coming from Season 1 — which I think was easily the strongest of the three — this latest season felt like a big step down. If I had to rank them, this one would be at the bottom. As someone who’s read ahead in the manga, it felt like the anime dragged out scenes unnecessarily, with a whole lot of nothing happening for 23 minutes straight. Episodes felt more like setup than actual progression, and that really killed the momentum. Story-wise, it wasn’t anything new or particularly engaging. A lot of it felt predictable, and not in a comforting or fun way. I usually enjoy slow-burn plots or quieter, introspective arcs, but this just felt like filler. There wasn’t enough tension or emotional payoff to make the slower pace worth it. The characters also didn’t help. Some of the development from previous seasons seemed to stall here. Characters who once had depth and internal conflict either felt flat or were sidelined completely. A few new characters were introduced, but they didn’t bring much to the table — more like placeholders than meaningful additions. It also didn't help that the reactions to major events often felt either overblown or totally underwhelming, making it hard to stay emotionally invested. The art style remained consistent, and while it fits the overall tone of the series, it didn’t do anything particularly impressive this season. The animation quality was okay, but there were definitely moments that felt static or cheaply produced, especially during slower dialogue scenes. I think some people might still enjoy this season if they’re really into the world or just want to see how everything unfolds, but for me — especially having read the manga — it felt like a season you could almost skip and not miss much. Hopefully, the next season picks up the pace and brings back the intensity and character depth that made the earlier seasons so good.

Hajime and his harem are back for another season. We are digging deeper into the world's story while meeting new and old characters, with it still being a power fantasy. In this season do we follow Hajime and the others after they have saved the rest of their class from certain doom. We then see them travel towards the last couple of dungeons they need to conquer, to hopefully find a way back to Japan, though they might be sidetracked a bit on the way. For the plot of this season we follow a couple of arcs, with each putting focus on different aspects of the characters. These arcs both make direct progress to what seems to be the show's ending, while also expanding on the world's setting. The arcs vary slightly in the quality when it comes to plot, with some feeling more influential and others less so. This does not necessarily mean that any of them are bad, but just that some arcs are more endearing than others. Though overall does the plot fit into the rest of the show and is a nice extension to previous seasons. Where this season really shines is actually the characters, with how we see multiple characters evolve and show previously unknown sides of them. This is done differently for each character, with some having a gradual change through each arc, while others have a major change in a single arc/episode. But it is all done quite seamlessly as it fits smoothly into everything else around them. These changes in the characters overall really helps the show take steps away from it being Hajime and the girls, and instead moving towards being a group of individual characters. Probably the only place where the show feels like it has gotten worse, is the animation. This is not to a degree where it is painful to watch, but is something noticeable. The way it mostly shows is through an increased use of still images, still backgrounds, and some fights have lost their flair and instead seem slow. The style is still the same and it is not ruined by the issues in the animation, but it just fell a bit in quality. With all that is the show still not necessarily a masterpiece. But I would still recommend watching this season, if this has been a show you liked. Since it sticks to the show's core and is a nice continuation to the story, even though the animation is lacking a bit behind.

I'm going to do a general review of all of Arifureta (its 3 seasons), viewing it entirely as one big anime. Arifureta is the second light novel I ever read; I remember it very well because I caught up with the publication around 2017, reaching exactly what would be the adaptation of the fourth season. Because of this, I have read everything that has been adapted so far at some point. This is my second attempt at watching Arifureta. When its adaptation was announced back in 2019, I was quite hopeful to see the work adapted, but I had to drop it from the very first episode because I found it so bad that I couldn't continue. Only now, after 7 years, I'm giving it a chance. Nine years after reading the novel but never finishing it, I watched the series a bit less as a hardcore fan of the original work, and more as someone going in blind. Story: 6.7 The story is that of an "edgy" Isekai: a protagonist is summoned to another world but is then rejected because his power doesn't meet expectations. Through certain events, he manages to adapt and evolve into the strongest character. Now he's not afraid to kill and only cares about his goals. Along the way, he meets several girls who fall in love with him, and his battle is against the kingdom that summoned him, the religion, and demons. I don't know if my past self thought the story was good enough to give the light novel a 9, but what I am sure of is that the adaptation of the original work is, like in many cases, rushed and quite accelerated. On the positive side, it has some interesting concepts that, while generic, manage to satisfy the consumer of the series. Characters: 6 It's a bit difficult to praise Arifureta's characters. The protagonist is an edgelord—even his companions call him out on it at one point. While this rebel personality (being cold because he was betrayed and not afraid to make tough decisions) is somewhat refreshing to see compared to the typical protagonist who forgives everyone and becomes their friend, or one who has an unbreakable sense of justice, Hajime breaks this mold. But in the long run, this rebel personality stagnates or only shapes itself to help his harem... Which brings me to another huge problem. Personally, I don't dislike harems. On the contrary, with so many protagonists who are terrified of women, seeing one who actually commits to his harem is nice. But there is a limit. A protagonist with 4 girls seems more than enough to me, and from there you can extract stories and comedy. But having the protagonist make every single woman he sees fall in love with him, ending up with at least 7 women chasing him by the end of the third season, just seems exaggerated. The main issue with the cast is the male-to-female ratio; having the protagonist's group consist of just him and 5 women is overkill. If there were just one other guy in that group as a best friend or right-hand man, the anime would improve significantly. Honestly, the protagonist desperately needs a character like Zoro or Ban, or in a more Isekai context, a Demiurge like in Overlord. Animation: 6.7 Arifureta's animation improves with the seasons. In the first season, the monsters were a total disaster and a pain to watch—one of the main reasons I initially dropped the anime. But by the third season, they improve quite a bit and are no longer just cheap CGI. However, that improvement only bumps the animation score from a 5.6 to a 6.7, because it's still your average Isekai animation that clearly lacked love: simple, frozen fights that mostly rely on visual effects to give the illusion of movement. The animation actually "shines" the most when they are just talking or walking. Overall: 6.8 Nine years ago, Arifureta seemed like a great light novel to me, but the anime leaves a lot to be desired. It's highly unlikely I'll watch a fourth season if it comes out, and even less likely that I'll ever rewatch it. As an Isekai anime, I wouldn't recommend it. I would sooner recommend reading the light novel if you're interested in the concept of levels, dungeons, and a rebel protagonist with a massive harem. But if you don't like reading, well, it's not the best option for an Isekai anime, though it is somewhat passable. What I definitely wouldn't recommend under any circumstances is the manga; just like the anime, it simply skips parts of the light novel, and on top of that, the art style is just heavy and bad.

Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou Season 3 The show is good until a point. That point was episode 12, 13, 14 and 15. I did not need to see the best part of 4 entire episodes of each character getting over themselves. Maybe doing it a bit quicker in 1 or 2 episodes would be fine, but taking that much time for everyone to get past their arrogance was just a massive waste of time. Did the director just think they couldn't fit much more in? and just thought, 'Let's overstretch something.' Other than that, the show, as per usual, is a bit of an over-the-top harem with everyone else being left out of the potential love interest for the edge lord himself. Characters will have very little personality aside from I love him or I need to be stronger than him. Some parts were entertaining, and the Empire part was very good. Art-wise, it looks very similar to its normal form, which, whilst I am not a great fan of it, I do appreciate that they stay consistent. This could have been a 6 or 7 if not for the massive filler section.

I thought I'd never have to read a Light Novel, but with the conclusion of this third season i've been forced into change. We've got another decent season but it's impossible to hide the wealth of material they have stripped away. It is now imperative, for any true fans of the series, to dive the source material (LN, as the manga is just worse than the anime). I have made it my rule to never read light novels but i break that promise for the first time with this show, it's far too great a burden to leave the questions of this season unanswered. What's there to love about this show? Guns juxtaposed with magic in a unique system. Very careful attention to detail with character abilities and their consistency. These ablities are utiliized effectively to overcome a myriad of obstacles and monsters. A pleathora of expressive fantasy designs and races. A suprisingly pleasant mouth-watering harem with the main duo oozing with charisma whilst being completely impossible to dislike. This show commandingly dwarfs many of the newer isekai/fantasy, they just get most things right, the writer actually knows what they're doing. The dialogue is great most of the times, when it's not, it's intentionally cringe and it achieves that effect. They don't lose sight of the general goal of the series and the MC is a shining beacon of hope taking centre stage. They know how to be funny, they know how to be serious and it rarely overlaps. There's a rugged ruthlessness, a good sense of hierrachy and deference and a no-nonsense attitude to war and fighting in general. This season as some of the reviews described a "harem season" i disagree. It certainly was a little different as it decided to focus more on the character interarctions betwen the main group whilst speeding through the plot. They gave us an ample selection of challenges to test the strengh of their bonds, trust and their convictions as they speedrun the labyrinths. Whilst i would like to say they did enough, I would betray my true feelings as i'm sitting here drooling, abject begging for more. More dialogue, more origin stories, more consequential tense fights and strangely, more politics. The reason i scored this one lower than the previous season is just the sheer amount of stuff skipped over or lacking effect. Dialogue is unfinished, hurriedly moving to the next scene, whilst i could just sit through hours of talking. It's not an issue of the story-telling but the anime direction. It really is a skill for a director to carefully read through the source, plan and enact the events as close to the original as possible while bringing to the forefront the more photogenic sequences. Whilst it was a somewhat plausible effort seems like we could have had almost double the episodes here or at least 24 episodes. I've seen complaints about fanservice but it's so tame here, nothing to worry about and if we make the mistake of comparing it to the LN we are in utter derision i'm afraid. It seems the wails and cries about the CG were heard there's dramatically less CG and as a result we have dramatically less exciting fights. Thanks guys! The fights were amongst the weakest part of this installment far more stiff, lacking so much effect and weight in it. The stills looked probably the best we have gotten in the series but in motion it does leave alot to be desired. The level of carnage with the guns and Yue's awesome power just have been toned down completely, consequently, the visual spectacle struggled live up to previous expectations. What about the sound? Yeah great as always, incredibly replayable soundtrack and when the atmospheric tracks kick in it really does give you the goosebumps. OPs and ED were good, but they're not sitting in my best track playlists like S1 and S2. How about the conclusion of this third season? Ahh yes in typical Arifureta fashion at the end of episode 16 you press the next button and are left in total despondency. The finale feels like it could have been slotted in after the 8th episode, Studio "asread" isn't great at that. Final Rankings. Art and Animation 7 (Stills are great, motion is average) Sound 8 Story 6 (too much cut content, skips etc) Characters 8 Enjoyment 8 (Was surprised how much i still enjoyed this show despite it's issues) 37/40 - 7.4/10 - 7/10 If you're starving for some exposition and need closure on the numerous adventures of this show, you might aswell join me on "the Light side" (Light Novels). Do not start from volume 7! You will be immeditely confused, I reccommend you go the tough but rewarding road from the beginning. Unfortunately it might probably take you weeks to months to finish but from what i've started reading it's worth it. I hope Asread, mother and whichever amalgamation of studios they go for the next season will just slow it all down and give us as much content as possible. I just can't get bored whilst watching this show i hope i'm not alone. Hope this helps.

Daaaaaamnnnnnnnnnn! That ending felt so incomplete—I seriously hope there’s another season in the works, because there’s no way they can just leave us hanging like that. Overall, I actually enjoyed this season a lot. It was engaging, fun to watch, and brought back some of the intensity I enjoyed in earlier arcs. To be honest, I don’t remember much from the previous seasons since it’s been a while, but I appreciated how this season gave us more insight into Nagumo’s past and what shaped him into who he is now. That backstory added some real depth to his character. And let’s talk about the harem—his little entourage is definitely growing! Lmao. What I really liked was how the show made it clear that Yue is his number one. It was sweet, and I respect that the others understand and accept it—even though it clearly hasn’t stopped them from catching feelings too. Honestly, I’m curious to see if Nagumo will ever truly accept Tio, despite her extremely perverted and masochistic tendencies. Lmao! She cracks me up every time she’s on screen, and their dynamic is just wild. Fingers crossed for another season soon, because that cliffhanger was brutal. I need answers—and more chaos from this crazy cast! I'm not sure if I would recommend, but I would say watch at your own risk!

I have watched its all episodes till now, earlier in the season 1 it was awsome but slowly in the later seasons it is like he is an overpowered character and the rest of the male characters are nothing, in reality they don't have anything (no power, no love interests nothing) and all the female characters are falling for hajime only, like i know he the mc but now its feels too much. The story sometimes feel totally fucked up, sometime i regret continuing this after season 1. It could be a jewel for someone who loves overpowered mc with all the chicks falling for him, but its too much for me. According to me you should think for at least 5 to 10 minutes deeply before watching this.

Well, regarding this anime, there are a few positive points: the protagonist's personality. Even though he’s in a harem anime where *all* the girls around him want to sleep with him, he isn't attracted to just anyone; he makes it clear that Yue is the only one—and later, Shea—who is truly special to him. Another highlight of the series is Shizuku, the swordswoman; although she remains a "secondary" character, the development she undergoes in Season 3, combined with her personality, is excellent. As for another character, Yue, I found her becoming extremely annoying as the anime progressed, and we only got her backstory in this season. Furthermore, the plot is dull and can be sleep-inducing at times, but despite that, it’s enjoyable to watch—mainly thanks to the comedy and the two points I mentioned earlier.

Anime is decent, above average isekai slop, I wouldn’t take it too serious. It’s light hearted with adult themes harem. Animation is below average seems like a budget friendly anime this season. With average character designs Plot is pretty straightforward with comedic jabs of the harem that’s going on The MC gives snobby discord mod vibes at times while the girls just flaunt over him no matter what he does. The side characters besides the girls come off very 2D(classmates) I’m actually pretty surprised it got a season 3 Thia type of anime is a one and done and never gets fully done. I think for the most part people will like the anime, if not at the least have it on the background while you game
