The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses

This anime was quite good. But if you ask me it's a masterpiece or not I will definitely say NO. ANIMATION The animation was gorgeous and amazing. Its an 10/10 for the animation. No problems with it STORY In some places, the story felt boring but the last 4 eps were really good. The story progressed quite a lot in these eps and it was fun to watch too. But in the middle of the anime I felt bored due to the lack of story progression. The plot was a quite wierd. There are a lot of wierd things in the romance genre itself but this story also got one of it. CHARACTERS We don't have a lot of character, so it's quite easy to keep track becoz the sole focus of this anime was on the 2 main characters. We don't get to see a lot about the other characters in this anime maybe in the upcoming seasons i guess. On the whole it is a light hearted romance anime btw two middle schoolers which is quite fun to watch. If you like romance genre a lot then this anime is a best one for ya. The story plot was pretty wierd but its fun

Strong points of the anime: - cute - overall looks good - may give you "the feels" Weak points: - plot is really dumb. Not to spoil much but I wouldn't let this girl handle cleaning a bathroom urinal. She must be costing her parents thousands or tens of thousands of $ each month on glasses. She's lucky she lives near the school, or a car will isekai her at the first crosswalk. - the dude is a huge simp. All he cares about is her looks and her hair, that's it. Doesn't care about knowing her as a person, even when she's in trouble and needs something specific this guy is daydreaming about how pretty is it. That being said, I wanted to give this show a go because I liked how it looked. It was above average pretty. But I couldn't take the plot serious after she forgot more than 3 times her glasses in a few episodes. I can see kids between 9-14 enjoying this, especially if it's one of their first romance anime that they watch. But for me, the only fun I had was laughing at how stupid the girl was. And I also enjoyed the visuals.

A wholesome show with a unique look that unfortunately leaves much to be desired with its story and characters. The strongest point of this anime was the unique combination of CG backgrounds and objects paired with 2D character animation and vfx, as well as the cool but sometimes goofy camera animations. This alone is already enough to recommend the series, but not with much weight because its weakest point was the lack of interesting narrative and progression in the story. It's all very much in a bubble that stays still in time. There is not much payoff to be had here. Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta would have benefited from having significant sub-plots that can drive the story in more interesting directions and give viewers a sense of conclusion for each "arc". Instead we are given a failed attempt at a romcom sitcom mix where the comedy is paid little attention to and the romance is unsatisfying. Yes, this anime is supposed to be a comedy, but one can't help but wonder where the comedy is. There's not much to laugh at, most situations the main characters end up in are either wholesome or cringe-inducing. Speaking of characters, the setting and interactions between characters is another mixed bag. Most episodes are set at their school benches having Mie-san and Komura-kun talking to each other with almost no look at the outside world. They do leave this spot, but it is like they are isolated from reality because nothing around them matters. Sure there are a few interactions with some characters the class but none of them feel meaningful, and the only meaningful interaction with another character was relevant only to progress the romance dynamic between our main 2. That's what you call a tool, not a character. The anime does not teach the viewers much about Mie-san as a person other than the fact that she forgets her glasses to school every single day even though she can't see shit without them (much sense, very logic). Whenever she loses them her brain power apparently drops considerably as well which is rather painful to watch for a show that does not give off any "goofy comedy" vibes. Most meaningful things learnt are from the perspective of Komura-kun. Regarding Komura, he also suffers from the issue of being way too dense to be likable as a character (imagine he's the personification of "Love very scary!!"), and they are pushing this cliché a lot. The soundtrack was meh, but the opening and ending songs (and their visuals too for that matter) were really good and memorable. Looking at specifically the 2D art and animation in the series as a whole it was mediocre with some good moments when showcasing how "pretty" Mie is by having her hair very animated, but other than that it was mostly the mix of 2D and 3D (2.5D if you will) that left an impression. Overall this is a 6/10. Possibly even a 5 if I give in to my objective self. If you watch it, watch it for the unique visuals. This isn't it if you're after a fulfilling and fleshed out character drama/romance story, and certainly not it if you're looking for a laugh for that matter.

I think it is a very good heart warming anime a good boy/girl love story but i do wish it would be english dubbed I also think that if more anime would English dubbed more people would watch them I know plenty of my friend won't watch unless it's english dubbed Let us know if you agree and also why does myanime want to tell me what to write Here are a few ideas of what you may want to include: Is the story unique? If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up? Do you think the art style is fitting for the story? Were the characters well-rounded? Did they have flaws and strengths, or were they unusually strong/smart/stupid? Did the characters react to situations and events in a realistic way? Do you think others will enjoy/dislike this series, even if you didn't? Why?

I wish i could like this anime but there are things you simply grow over when you watch romance anime. 1. MC is wimpy, unsure, constantly is full of himself and thinking about helping Mie instead of actually doing it, after he gets grip with reality he finally does. 2. Comedy repeats again im not against comedy but when they use same trope 18 times in one episode it gets bit boorish. 3. Graphics and animations are nice but constant switching to weird 3D effects is unnecessary sometimes it gets too annoying. 4. You would expect some character development from Komura nope he is same at the end as he was at start wimpy and screams internally when even touching Ai glasses which is like, what ? I guess this anime would be better if Komura could internally grow bit much more and instead of focusing on his so called love and "OH MY GOD I TOUCHED HER GLASSES" or "OH MY GOD SHE IS TOO CLOSE" would rather take some action instead it would be better. I understand that he is young but this is too much... you wouldn't get any of this even from younger person. Can i recommend ? Well if you are not tired of tropes and wimpy MC and just small amount of development then yeah... watch it i guess.

I loved the manga, this adaptation is good to average... it really needs a second season (it surely can be finished in two seasons). Its the normal romance story about kids... dont expect grand and profund thinking about two kids being kids, the story its not about self discovery or learning about of love. its just a simple love story. there is only one point that i cant stand. I could pass out the strange pseudo 3d... but man could komura stop making noises ? it feels wrong that he has to make strange sounds everytime... i mean i know if he babblers a lot cause you know shy kid and those stuff but all the other noises are too much.

This was one of those animes that I was content with. It wasn't anything new or crazy in terms of story progression and theme. The 3-D visuals were definitely something that the animation studio was playing around with and I feel it made some scenes feel out of place because of the choppy transitions from 2-D to 3-D. Episode 10 is where this anime peaked. The emotional connection between the two MC's was developed quickly yet smoothly through that episode which made the final 3 episodes feel slow. The ending episode was really disappointing as well, I was hoping for something bigger but I guess that's just a good Segway into another season potentially.
