Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu 2nd Season

The Dangers in My Heart Season 2

This anime changed my life. I had always thought: "Female authors don't really understand how to write realistic, believable male (especially main) characters." Oh boy how wrong I was. The author of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu does an astonishing job at conveying every emotion that the main character, Ichikawa, feels since the very beginning, during his entire transformation, and until the very end of this anime adaptation. This second season focuses on the development of the unusual relationship between Ichikawa Kyotaro and Yamada Anna, as well as Ichikawa's view of the world around him, and Yamada's struggle between her professional and personal life. We are introduced new characters, and we get to know more about former characters in the show and the relationships between them. If you already watched the first season or are unsure whether to jump into BokuYaba, I can only tell this to you: If you like the overall genres (romcom, scchool, slice of life), then I totally recommended that you give it a chance. I rarely put a 10/10 score but this series deserve it all the way. I'll be looking forward to the third season of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu with great interest. ~AkiyamaSairei

Went into this anime without any expectations, honestly thought it was just another anime with an edgy try to be relatable MC. However after giving it a couple of episodes I saw vulnerability and character development that were conveyed in ways rarely seen in anime, I went from hating and just laughing at the main character to genuinely rooting for him to change and to pursue what he wants, this is the type of anime that will make you want to root for the main characters like they're friends, and it was easy to build an attachment to them. This is like a sweet love letter to romcom anime, I highly recommend.

One of the best romance anime I have seen in a long time. This anime is therapeutic to watch because it's so wholesome! I feel genuinely happier watching this anime. An anime that seems simple and childlike but has very complicated adult-oriented themes. An art style that seems nostalgic and almost a throwback to other old romance animes with school settings. This anime touched my heart in ways that I did not know anime can. Not many romance animes shines on themes related to anxiety, low self esteem, and insecurity. But this anime slowly cooks the viewers into these heavy themes while balancing humor and slice of life elements. You feel almost a connection to the core cast. Because everyone been through schools and emotional rollercoasters and you can't help but to relate to some of the emotional obstacles that some of the characters face. This anime is amazing at slowly introducing characters that start to grow on you. The interactions between every character are enjoyable to watch. Although I do criticize that I wish to see more of the side character interactions with the main cast. But regardless this series is fun, emotional, and psychologically deeper than you think.

This is one of the best anime I’ve ever seen in my life, possibly the best! If you enjoy love stories with calm, patient development and a somewhat realistic romance, along with that classic anime-style romantic touch that fans adore, this anime is perfect for you. The character development is outstanding, and the bond we form with each character throughout the series is truly indescribable. The story, while including a few typical romance anime clichés, is always well-crafted and manages to break away from the usual patterns. The focus is firmly on the characters and their relationships, without wasting time on unimportant matters or tedious problems. Conflicts are resolved quickly and directly, giving the anime a calm, fun, and dynamic pace without unnecessary tension.

The Dangers Of My Heart Season 2 is a predictable follow up to an already predictable first season, but that might not necessarily be a bad thing, when the show nails down it's specific genre so well. It's slow, it's foreseeable and it's not afraid to stay that way. The first season of The Dangers Of My Heart never surprises and neither did it's follow up. It tells a classic story of a shy, introverted, teenage student continuing to fall in love and building a realationship, with his beautifull, quirky, and snack-hungry classmate, accompanied by an absolutely beautiful OST by the amazing composer Kensuke Ushio. This kind of simple blueprint is one that Japan has adored for a very long time when it comes to teen romance , and it makes sense why, some of the most beautifull parts about love are the beginnings, the awkward glances, the first time holding hands, the first kiss. We love seeing our favorite characters fall in love, and shows like The Dangers Of My Heart gives us 4 straight hours of just that; two people slowly falling in love for the first time. Veeeeeery slowly. And here lies the problem with this classic formula. When you only focus on a single love story between two people for two whole seasons, things are going to get quite stale, and in trying to perfect the slow-burn teen romance story blueprint, The Dangers Of My Heart sadly also ends up suffering from the pitfalls that the genre brings with it, and it subsequently falters in the face of more modern and forward thinking romance anime such as Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Horimiya. These two series in particular bring just as, if not better characters to the table, and the reason why is very simple: character development. The Dangers Of My Heart has great characters don't get me wrong, but every single one of them have only one purpose to the plot, and that is furthering the romantic development of our two main characters. I was hoping that by season 2 we would maybe get a single character arc for one of the side characters, the main girl Yamada Anna's female friends would have been perfect for this. If you take a break from the main love story and focus on one of them, you can show the viewers another side of teen love, maybe one where it doesn't work out, maybe one where the person you love doesn't love you back. There are so many stories to tell about teenagers in love and in 25 episodes The Dangers Of My Heart only tackles a single one, it does so excellently don't get me wrong, but if someone asked for an anime romance recommendation, this show should never be at the top of that list, simply because it never challenges it's very predictable formula. In a modern anime romance landscape filled with shows that have changed our perception of what a good teen love story is, The Dangers Of My Heart decides to take a step backwards, so it can rely on a now, more old school romance plotline, and while it does so perfectly and without struggling in certain parts, like some other slow burn romance shows of it's type, it simply gets left in the dust by more nuanced and complex stories, that anime has blessed us with today. Why is Reality Like This? Why do anime like Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu Season 2 leave us with such a confusing feeling about our own lives and the enviable reality of anime? This season, like the previous one, gave us that touch of an ideal world to project ourselves into and get excited about our own reality, often harsh. But that's not where I want to go. The second season of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu was certainly built the right way. It didn't need more or less, just like the first season. Countless outbursts to see the romance of the two happening and progressing beyond what you expected. The colors of the anime immerse us in the environment they are in, the songs will always make you remember the vibe and the anime itself, always cheering you up. That said, the anime is certainly one of those that messes with the brain chemistry, so much so that you end up wanting more when it's over. Certainly an impeccable anime, and one that will certainly leave good memories for us viewers. In anticipation and eagerness to want more (and we will, I hope), for sure, Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu is one of the best anime ever made. Congratulations to the entire production and direction. See you next time, friends.

Entertainment: 10/10 Only the entertainment criteria is used for scoring since that's the most important aspect for me Art style: Almost perfection, the facial expressions of the characters and the scenery was a lot different from the other anime i usually watch but I fell in love with it as I watched more and more episodes Characters: Really nice, almost every single character/couple introduced has a bit of backstory introduced to back up their reasoning and dialogue, making it a lot more interesting, Plot: Perfection, perfect pacing, storyline, dialogue, jokes/punchline everything you can name Sound: Really good openings and ending, but the first season op played at the end of the last episode was enough to win me Entertainment: Really enjoyed the anime overall, probably the best romance anime in terms of plot and pacing. Glad I didn't drop this anime during the first season of the anime during the first 3 episodes and getting to witness this masterpiece

The way the anime progressed was really satisfying and in most cases we know what happens in these "Rom-coms" but I still was surprised and excited by many events that took place in each episode and never found myself bored or felt that something was being dragged on, I honestly binged this anime first and second season in two days and that's because I was too excited to see what would happen next so I couldn't take a break without being eager to see how the story progressed and what wholesome and cringe moments happened next. I've always liked these types of animes, but this one was really refreshing to this genre I'm used (not really sure why) , and executed the pace and even the characters really well, although the story was focused around the two main characters (like usual) it still provided a great understanding of the impact that these characters have on the two main characters as well as the impact they received from them. Overall one of the best romance animes I think I'll ever watch and I can't wait to see what happens next season if there hopefully is one!!

ENG: I was robbed, definitively and unequivocally, it is cinema… Yes, it is the same trope of the popular girl who falls in love with the boy rejected from society with no social skills, but even so, and against all odds, it surprises every time and never ceases to surprise, the story always goes up and that is the best thing about this anime, when you think you've already seen it all and it can't surprise you anymore. Boom! Something incredible and, despite how stupid it sounds, expected but unexpected for the story slaps you in the face. So, as Scorsese himself said, you got me, it's cinema...

This anime came with a bang in this season. It was fun watching, and waiting to watch it every episode made it more interesting. Watching every episode made me feel emotionally attached, and the character's development was good. The story was good, and I watched many animes related to this genre. Characters had their flaws, but finally, they got what they wanted as a normal romance anime, the way they handled their flaws and how much want each other together made them realize the importance of each other. If you want a good school romance anime, give it a shot and don't stop in between unless you watched 4 to 5 episodes. I hope that next season will come in a short period.

The Dangers in My Heart, Round 2 - Are you sure that we're reading the title right? It's "The (Cringe) Dangers in MY Heart", not "The (Masterpiece) Dangers in OUR Heart(s)"? AniManga rom-coms are pretty typical: same formula of "boy meets girl", have some common interests that gradually form into feelings of love, and blah blah blah. But for Mitsudomoe mangaka Norio Sakurai, Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu a.k.a The Dangers in My Heart is single-handedly, hands down, his best work ever of a rom-com that manages to defy all expectations between a couple that has rather radical shift of beliefs from the beginning, to breaking down walls that puts their relationship front and center of the show. Now, that with Season 2, which continues the adaptation to Volume 8 of the manga, has further amped its popularity as one of the best rom-coms of the modern age. Back in last Spring, like many of you, this show really resonated a lot with me, save for the constant complaint that is "The MC is a cringe Chuunibyou who only has fetishes for the girl that is seemingly out of place". And at the time, it is really true that Kyotaro Ichikawa started off as a rather suicidal person who wishes for nothing but blood on his hands on the most popular girl: Anna Yamada. But as time passes and both Ichikawa and Yamada begin to know each other more, that's where their relationship flourished, and their credit rating only goes in one direction: UP, all the way to the No. 1 spot as a couple who has had the most development in any kind of rom-com shows ever. Throughout Season 1, I briefly mentioned that Kyotaro's intent to kill Yamada, became the affectionate tool of his love for her, thus the series' intended title of "The Dangers in My Heart". Because if you don't know or haven't yet realized, that title basically is the embodiment of Kyotaro Ichikawa as a whole, experiencing the REALISM that is the multiple dangers that could affect his heart in many ways: from the immature suicidal thoughts to subsequent meetings in the library where both Ichikawa and Yamada can be themselves and know each other as they are in their ever-growing stages of maturity. The constant "screw-ups" that Ichikawa thought he has for quite the longest time of thinking that he's a failure and quite literally the "screw-up" that affects other people's chances of success (as much with Yamada securing more roles from fashion shoots to even voice acting in media), Yamada however, does not see it as a fault, but rather accepts that it's part of his growing journey and allows that fact to help him make his life feel better going forward. I love to see couples encourage and support each other when circumstances hit them the most, and if you ever needed a more-than-perfect example, Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada would be one: the literate definition of a couple PERFECT for each other. Even if the side characters of Yamada's clique and Ichikawa's friends aren't seen as much this season, they're still idiotic childish boys and winggirls in the pursuit to give the couple more dangers to each other's hearts, and you could not have asked for a better cast of support characters who are all the more willing to see their best friends turned into lovers. Clearly, the production got a huge upgrade from the last season, and Shin-Ei Animation pumped all of the wowzers to give us the sequel, elevated to the nth degree. And this is none better showcased than Season 2's OP song and its gorgeous cinematic visuals, produced in collaboration with Wit Studio and both storyboarded and directed by Shingeki no Kyojin a.k.a Attack on Titan's chief director, Tetsuro Araki. It's simply a masterclass on how to make opening songs pop together with stunning visuals, and really, praises to the effort being done here. While Atarayo's OP song for Season 2 is no doubt great and musically vibrant, Yorushika's OP for Season 1 still takes the cake for me. And between both of Kohana Lam's songs for both seasons, they do have their likes, but I vibe more with Season 1's ED. Not to say that the OST has downgraded, but the consistency is kept so the emotion is still there for feels. Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu a.k.a The Dangers in My Heart, at least for Season 2, has been a major triumph in this rather unremarkable Winter 2024 season, with literally no competition in the rom-com space and allowing its dominance to be felt all across the start of the year in its first 3 months. If anything doesn't topple this show from its kingdom heights, then I honestly don't know what will do for the year going forward. Flippin' brillant.

There is no romance anime in the world that draws out emotion like this in my opinion. It hits all the cliche plot points, but because Yamada and Ichikawa are such lovable characters this anime works extremely well. Not to mention the fact that these two have actual chemistry. If there's one thing that bothers me about romance anime in general it's that a lot of the couples that we're supposed to root for don't have any chemistry when they're actually on screen. These two absolutely do. The art and sound are completely perfect. It hits an excellent level of quality throughout more or less its entire runtime. The soundtrack is one that I listen to daily. Especially the main thing, which has the same title as the actual anime, is one that I adore. It sounds like Minecraft's music when C418 was still the composer. I truly think that among romance anime, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. There is nothing quite like this. I highly recommend it. It made me tear up like 5 times and I still tear up every single time I put on the final episode.

The dangers in my heart season 2 continues off from season 1 but focuses heavily on the romance between ichikawa and yamada building up the relationship between them and watching them fall in love with each other it’s very sweet to watch and enjoy. If you like Ichikawa wanting to murder her then you’re short of luck as this doesn’t happen as he’s growing to like her but if generic high school rom com is your stuff then you are in luck I say it’s generic but it’s also has a way of doing it uniquely (not stating for spoiler purposes) but it works well and I did catch myself smiling and watching a few EP back to back Overall it’s a great 2nd season with the development and the school year and I hope to see some more in a season 3 or movie :) Overall 9/10

Usually romances of this type end up not giving enough satisfaction to its viewers. They end up more or less cringe or with no progress at all and continued to play on the comedic side of things. Bokuyaba S1 was more of a preview to the start of Yamada and Ichikawa's relationship. S2 succeeded more or less in developing the characters' "self" as well as their relationship to one another. To put it simply, they became more honest with themselves which is very satisfying and somewhat closer to reality. If you want a heartwarming easy to watch anime, you definitely can't go wrong on this one as each episode was definitely a ride full of enjoyment where you won't even notice how much you're smiling!!! Bokuyaba is definitely one of the gems of its season!!

I got goosebumps at several scenes due to the well-used soundtrack and the beautiful photography, for me in particular it was one of the best comedy/romance adaptations I've ever watched, I really hope for a third season, it really deserves it. impeccable choreography soundtrack fits perfectly into each scene charismatic characters This anime has everything to be one of the best of the season It's been a long time since I felt happy watching a romantic comedy. the manga adapted up to chapter 113 so there is more romance than the anime demonstrated, the problem is that there are few chapters so probably a new season will only be released in about 2 or 3 years

This is a beautiful romance I'm awestruck by how good this anime was, because for me, it's probably up there among the best romance anime ever. This anime teaches you how to love yourself and how a relationship should be actually like mutual understanding of each other feelings, emotions and taking care of each other etc. In starting it looks like an common romance type anime but soon as it goes will give so many surprises. What surprised me was how well written the romance was. Both these characters are beautifully written and grow at a great pace throughout the show. The fact that they're both inspired by each other, is exactly what makes this romance so brilliant and somewhat rare. There's also a beautiful scene where they both tell each other how they changed each other's lives and made them who they are today. Ichikawa's character writing impressed me the most. Even in S1, his character development was the standout feature for me. In S2, it picks up right where it left off, and doesn't drop pace at all. When you look back at the start of the show, it's hard to believe that Ichikawa used to be the way he was. His character development is paced so perfectly. There's so much to admire about him - the way he thinks, the way he learns about himself, the way he always wants to be better than he is today and the way he genuinely loves Yamada. Another great feature about this anime was its pacing for the romance. The romance moves along at a great pace, throughout the show. It doesn't slow down once. Which is again rare in romance anime. The direction is phenomenal. With a show this well written, the direction, animation and the soundtrack should be able to match that. And it certainly did. The director also directed Teasing Master Takagi San. And I remember that even in S3, every single episode was close to a masterpiece. I'd say it's the same case with Dangers in My Heart S2. A lot of that is because of the direction. The soundtrack is brilliant too and it really stands out during the build-ups of heartfelt moments. Overall though, I thought this was a phenomenal romance and it really took me by surprise

Since this could very well be the end of The Dangers in My Heart, I figured I might as well write a review. So far (and probably until the end) Dangers in My Heart will be the best romance anime of the decade. Not only that, but it has become my favorite romance anime of all time, and EVEN better than that, it will be one of my favorite anime ever released. A quick synopsis of the story is about a boy named Ichikawa Kyotaro who has a odd fascination with fellow student Anna Yamada. What may be this fascination you may ask? Well, Kyo wants to murder Yamada. BUT DO NOT WORRY, if this automatically drives you off, this ends in a few episodes as Kyotaro realizes he actually has a crush on Yamada, and in my opinion, is where Dangers in My Heart starts. Through the 2 seasons, Kyo and Yamada realize that they like each other and every episode is a new story in their awkward relationship. If you are a fan of romance, or maybe just want to try and get into the genre, this anime will be perfect for you. Also the animation is amazing and both openings and endings are killer. You should not miss out on this show.

Simply a must watch romance for any romance loving viewers. First few episode may not seem like anything crazy good but at just the right pace, in just the right moments, in just the right way it start to flow and build up to the most incredible, wholesome, heart warming, lovey dovey, emotional, deep, mesmerizing and intriguing love filled romance journey the visual media could portray. The visuals and animation aren't out of the world but they're still up there and could pull anyone in with it's charms. The voice acting, especially at some parts, shook me so much that for first time I started noticing just how much depth and detail a person can put into it. Some of critical emotional moments just suddenly snapped all my attention and fully immersed me thanks to incredible voice acting talent of the people behind the microphones. The soundtrack itself is such a blissful serenity of sound that it alone could carry you into depths of soul without any visuals. Coupled with the show and perfectly placed and crafted to each scene it just breaks so many immersion barriers that the viewer can seemingly and effortlessly both feel and get immersed into the scenes. And of course the writing itself stands out just as much. The interlining strings of events, emotions, dialogues exchange and chemistry between two main characters is like a spider web at time and at other times just a straight up tsunami hitting a lighthouse trying to reach the top of it until the very end. All the happy, sad, lovey dovey and funny parts sprinkled in between the waves are simply just perfect in both placement, duration and execution. There is always just the right amount of tension, yearning, regret, greed, compassion and resolve in both big and tiny moments. It's a comfortable watch. Not as heavy as some other romance anime. But still manages to be heavy purely so out of materializing emotional bonds, communication, drive and ultimately action that lingers in the characters and their doings on your screen. On the surface and/or at first it may seem to some like a sort of cliche or guilty pleasure loner romance thing or too plain and shallow. Just maybe. That's the only bad thing I sort of imagined the show would be. But eve at very start it never comes to that. After a few episodes you just start drowning in such a perfectly crafted romance anime that there isn't really proper words to put how perfectly this whole thing is created. I am surely biased. I enjoy such romance shows too much. And this has become my new favourite thing. But in all honesty, even how reluctant I would feel in real life to confess that I, as a grown man, go all puppy eyed and teary over imaginary romance. This anime brought me so much joy and comfort and giggly laughs and watery eyed screen gazing awe that I would take it to my grave, a hill to die on.; And whole heartly recommend The Dangers In My Heart to all

When I was in the first episode of the first season, I was like, "Huh, murder? what is this?" Now in the final episode of the second season... This season was obviously much better than S1, watching them grow and slowly mature as time went on. I was completely addicted to the charm of this work. The character development was amazing. The cast of characters gets better with each episode. The OP, BGM, everything was perfect. The final episode was the best and made me cry. I don't think I'll ever forget the scene where the two confess in this final episode. It was really piece of work, I'm really glad I came across this work. Thank you very much to the staff and everyone involved. 10/10 Now, it's time to wait 3rd season.
