I forced myself to finish this just to say with more certainty, HORRIBLE. I could give reasons in every episode for how bad this anime is. I don't know what the intention of the anime is, or what it's for, but it can't be good at anything, it's a terrible isekai, if it tries to be a children's anime because of the children it also fails, the way it is the anime is not at all attractive to children, it's not a serious anime, it's nothing, it doesn't have a single good thing for those who watch it, just boredom and boredom. No purpose, no love, no characteristics, no personality, nothing that makes us like the anime or anything that it represents. Don't watch it, under any circumstances, save your time and watch better animes.

There has been too many action or drama focused animes lately, so it's nice to get an anime that focus on family. It's cute and charming, and it was exactly what I wanted as a change. The visuals and stories are weak, and the characters are very 1 dimensional, but that's totally fine with this anime. It's just something light-hearted that you can enjoy after having an exhausting day. I sincerely hope that there will be a second season, because I did enjoyed it. The main character doesn't want to be the strongest or have revenge on a villain. He just want to raise the confused and innocent kids that he found in a dangerous forest. He isn't even man that he got accidentally killed by a god and was resurrected in another world. The kids are very 1 dimensional, but it's cute to see them from being scared and confused to active and curious kids, and it's cute how they stick to the main character. He is basically their father, and they don't even know what a father or a family is.

“A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring”, don’t You just love short titles? Is what happens when a mature topic is turned into a meaningless comedy. I’m gonna be honest. This anime is about 3 in the writing department. I gave it a 4 only because I actually enjoyed watching this trainwreck of logic and nonsense. It uses cheap tricks to make You think You actually give a damn about the characters but somehow it actually worked on me this time. At least up until episode 6. After that the show turns into a repetitive slog. Shame because I actually like the premise. Unfortunately this sort of premise requires a writer with skill that far surpasses the author of this show, to make it feel organic and have an actual message. It's not a bad anime, I’ve seen much worse, it’s just meaningless. Before we start I would like to explain something. I will be talking about “plot” and “story”. Many people use those terms interchangeably. I’m not one of those people, so to make sure everyone is on the same page… I use the definitions for “plot” and “story” as Lisa Cron describes them: “What happens in the story is the PLOT, the surface events.” “STORY is about how the things that happen affect someone in pursuit of a difficult goal, and how that person changes internally as a result”. When it comes to the story… there basically isn’t one. You could say that it’s a story about a reincarnate that takes care of two unique children he found in the forest but… that’s not exactly it. They are with him, they accompany him everywhere and he does try to teach them basic skills like math but not much, if anything, really changes due to that. This show is extremely light in the story department. There are 2, 3 if we’re being generous, story beats that actually happen. The rest is just plot. I’ll start with the world because it’s something that bothered me a lot. As with most isekais from the last, at least, 15 years we have a world that works on game logic. We have levels, dungeons, dungeon drops, adventurer guilds, bosses and all that crappy stuff You saw a million times already in far better shows. When it comes to the world itself there isn’t anything original or brave. It's as safe as safe can be and that makes it forgettable. I don’t think You could distinguish this world from most other isekai / fantasy worlds from the last decade. That itself wouldn't be much of a problem if the story, plot and character were able to do the heavy lifting, but unfortunately… they don’t. Takumi, our MC, is the embodiment of a Gary Stu trope, I wound’t be surprised if he was supposed to be a self insert for the author. He can do no wrong, has a solution for everything, the very gods of the world bend over backwards for him. There isn’t a thing in the entire show that had a negative consequence for him, be it short term or long term. Everything just goes his way. He even gets solutions for people's plights far in advance without even trying. It’s like watching a fresh Dungeon Master trying to create an interesting NPC without understanding what makes one. He is so overpowered that he’s probably considered a WMD in this world by those who know of his powers. He gets gifts from 3 out of 5 gods and doesn’t really have to try to make use of them. Be it a new skill, new magic or a new contracted beast. Everything for Mr Kakumi. When it comes to personality… he has none. It’s just the same old, worn out mix of tropes: nice, helpful, tries to avoid conflict ets. If You gave me his description I wouldn't be able to tell him apart from all the other badly written MCs of isekais. He is supposed to be a guardian to two very young kids. Yes, those kids are power houses by themselves but that doesn’t mean he should just allow them to dive into combat mindlessly, which he does almost every time. There are very few moments when he acts like a proper parental figure and even then it’s only in very trivial matters. I guess he does teach kids to read and do basic math, and those are moments when I actually liked him and the scenes themselves. Unfortunately that's just one scene in the whole show. When it comes to the kids - Allen and Elena, things are better but not by much. The kids we see at the end of the show are not the same as the kids we see in the beginning. Their metamorphosis is visible, gradual… and unfortunately totally unearned. I really like the fact that they open up, get more bold and even start to express their individuality on 2 occasions but that’s not enough. We don’t really see them trying to overcome things. One moment they are hiding behind Takumi because they're scared, and the next they act like nothing happened. They don’t have real struggles. Same as Takumi, the world bends over backwards for them to the point that the first time they try out water magic they become competent at it in just a few seconds. Takumi being overpowered and having two overpowered kids under his wings would make sense if he was an actual, well written mentor figure. There is a lot to say about raising kids that in time could become WNDs in their own way. Not to mention that a truly powerful mentor as an MC isn’t something that we see often and can have a ton of plot and stories all by itself. Why not show how Takumi tries and fails in the beginning to teach them that the fact they can do something, doesn’t mean that they should? Let them not understand when he means and through an experience make them understand. Show me how he struggles himself with his image as a parental figure, his doubts about his way of raising them and maybe even show how he is unable to control them in the beginning. Show me something that would make me care about any of those 3. If You think You can write it well enough, make an arc when the kids learn control by hurting Takumi to the point where he’s out of the picture for most of the episode. Make it their fault so we see that they are truly kids with powers that they can’t control just yet. That would be much more impactful and meaningful than just making them stronger, more powerful and competent by the episode. Not to mention earned. I can even accept the fact that all 3 are overpowered but in that case let them have challenges that can’t be solved with fighting or magic. For fucks sake “Superman - Peace on Earth” gave the most overpowered character of all time something he couldn’t do. A challenge he could never overcome. They made him taste one of the most bitter defeats in his comic book history and make it a catalyst for learning. They made Superman, damn Superman unable to help people, to do what he always does. Why not make something similar here? Take those 3 overpowered characters and shove them into a citation they can’t possibly beat using might or magic. It doesn’t need to be anything grande like in “Peace on Earth”, something small and personal would be good, like the kids finding out what kind of asshole their father is and having them break because of it. It’s not very original but it would do the trick. I get that this is supposed to be a feel good story but it went about it in the worst way possible. A story like this needs contrast in its plot. You can’t just show only good parts in life because it suffocates the story itself. Without contrast the story becomes stale and boring and that’s what happened in this show. The first 5 episodes are pretty nice. Nothing groundbreaking but it works as an intro to something bigger. But the rest of the show is almost exactly the same. Nothing bad ever happens. This is supposed to be a story about raising kids. No matter how much one might try, life isn’t all burritos and strippers, there are bad things in life. Teaching that to kids (ok, maybe not that young but it could still work because of their circumstances) is one of the responsibilities of a parental figure. Those kids had already had a shitty moment in their lives before meeting Takumi giving them some more struggles of dif…

This anime was one of those that wasn't good but wasn't bad either. It just kind of existed. The characters were likable but too much of the story seemed flat. There was a lot of cuteness but sometimes it felt like there was only cuteness and it didn't always carry things well. The occasional moments of drama were nice but they were too few and far between. Everything felt a little too easy but nothing was ever off-putting enough to make me drop the series. I didn't need it to be grimdark or anything, but it'd have been nice if it felt like there was more effort happening to get places in the story. If you like something low key with minimal conflict then you might want to check this out. If you're looking for something that will make you feel things then you might want to look elsewhere.

If you're looking for an anime while you just chill in your sofa or bed, well this one is for you! It may not be your typical adventure isekai but what makes it special is it's not over stimulating and could be a pleasant watch while you're destressing. No overbearing characters, cute children, and an average MC. It's easy to understand and watch the anime since it doesn't have any complex issues and scenes going on, smooth transitions of arc and you kinda ask for more. With the art style, it does suit the anime well and it fits the ambiance of the story itself, it may no longer be unique from all of the anime out there, but it is enjoyable on itself as it has great glimpse of the world building as well. Hoping I get to watch more animes like this!

A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring is a gentle, heartwarming isekai that focuses less on overpowered fantasy tropes and more on the simple joys of raising kids while adventuring. While its slice-of-life pacing and familiar tropes make it feel somewhat generic, the wholesome bond between the MC and the children really carries the show as it can be very sweet at times with how close their connection brings them. It’s a cozy, low-stakes adventure perfect for viewers who enjoy soft worldbuilding, cute moments, and a feel-good take on the isekai formula. Now don't get me wrong it definitely has its issues with pacing and the overall plot as I said, it is very low stakes BUT if you are looking for something you can enjoy with your kids or even the family as a whole this is a great anime to start with! If you want a quick binge anime that'll warm your heart and make you laugh then you should check out A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring!

It's a simple anime, a good introduction to isekai if you're a first time watcher, but the pacing of is too fast, that boom. things just happen and you dont get time adjust or understand why they are happening. Next, the situation surrounding Taku and the gods of that world is all over the place, that its paintedout to seem like Taku is some sort of chosen one, but then its so vague that it leaves the world building lacking, the animation and art style is good, but the actual plot is not really there, although the idea surrounding the story is unique, it is poorly executed but overall its cute, calm, and relaxing if you need a palette cleanser or just to unwind

Genuinely enjoyed this anime actually. For a change this was just nice family friendly anime where there is no huge tragedy, it's just a guy trying to rise two kids. I like that the kids actually have character development and they change, Takumi was fun to watch too in his role of older brother. I will be happy if there will be next season of this anime. It was nice and chill. Animation was good enough i guess what i enjoyed was some old sounds and old usage of sounds, and story it self was just was to watch so if you are trying to find anime that you can chill with and then go watch something more serious this is it.

Okay this series is NOT deep. It's not pretending to be either. Basically this is another that falls under what I call "pallet cleanser anime". It's a sweet fun nothing of an anime with a not complex but still well done art style. It's kid friendly but can be a nice relaxing "chill out" anime between the more serious and dramatic stuff for adults. Teens will probably NOT like it for exactly these reasons. The story is simple but not boring, the characters aren't "deep" but there is enough going on that you aren't all "oh god this again". It's not the standard "x goes wrong, we do the 30 second brew potion animation and it's all fixed, rinse repeat" cycle that you see in see others too. The music is up-beat and pleasant, the voice acting was solid enough, and the animation style fit the project. I'm using it as a cleanser between some much darker and heavier stories and it's PERFECT for that. (Along similar lines as another where an abused salaryman died from falling out of bed and was reincarnated as a kid who did great things with slimes. I forget the name but it serves a similar purpose for me as that one did.) As an "anime in total" I'd give this a 6.5, I'm rounding it up to 7 because for the TYPE/style of anime it is and what it's trying to be it does that particular thing quite well. As always your personal mileage may vary.

Well it's the generic isekia anime, the only things that set it apart is the child care sorta which the center attention of the is anime but theirs other ones that kinda do childcare better sorta of. But the stories isn't sort of unique. Shield hero is better childcare anime. Physics go out the window in ocean scenes most the eating food and liquids. Character are bland and boring . Their isn't really story it's mostly isekia slice of life. Animation is good. Childcaring could have more depth in the story missed opportunities. It's an okay watch for having in the background .

It's a pretty cute, wholesome anime. There were definitely a lot of cute moments with Alan and Elena being kids and doing uhhh...perhaps unorthodox things that a kid wouldn't usually do. Like, beating up monsters, lol. The MC is OP (like any other isekai anime), but it's not about his powers. The anime focuses more on the taking care of the kids aspect, so there's some character development for the children. The artstyle is cutesy as well, and there are some funny moments that gives this anime a bit of charm to it. The children talking does get a bit repetitive though. I get that their twins, and they're in sync, but the voices are slightly annoying at times here and there. It's not that much of a bother though. I wish a bit more of the twins' individuality was shown, but it's probably more fleshed out in the manga or LN. Which means you should probably read those as well lol.

The main gimmick of this anime is the twins. The two main issues is that 1: The twins barely get any development. For better or worse even though they are two characters they basically act as one for almost the entirety of the anime. So essentially it reduces the interaction 2: Everything else in the anime is, kinda mediocre. The pets dont even show up for multiple episodes at a time. The other characters are average at best, and thats if they even show up. The anime is not outright terrible, the main thing is it kinda fumbles the main gimmick of the twins and there really isnt anything else special about it. I dont "dislike" the anime, its very difficult to recommend though unless the viewer is specifically, wanting a low key low stakes filler anime. "Switch off brain" anime, so to speak. And even then I have to say that some sections of the anime I found nothing happens and its really boring Rating: 7.0/10, not terrible not great

I don't write reviews but the rating on this is absolutly appaling not even a 7 this anime was amazeing cozy cute feel good show. so much love and care desperatly needs a season two. anyone giving it low ratings is comparing it to other shows like it's supposed to be deep full of action etc. which makes no sense since that's not what it is nor should be. if you want steak and order pasta you're gunna be dissapointed but don't blame the pasta like its bad. the relationship of the main characters is what makes the show so amazing so again if you wanna feel happy and cozy especially on a rainy day this is the show.

This show would be so much fun to watch when I'm 80 years old, retired, with no grandkids. This story, not even sure if you could call this a story, feels more like a sitcom and is extremely bland. Any mysteries or problems are solved in actual seconds. "What happened with those kids???" was the main mystery of this show, and the culprit was revealed and dealt with at the last second, as if they'd forgotten about them. OH! but who are these kids???? SOLVED IN THE NEXT FRAME. A story to this writer is like a checklist for them. If you aren't gonna develop a meaningful story, especially when you create a foundation for one, DON'T MAKE ONE. They should have just kept it as a cute, rarely funny show. But even if they did that, it wouldn't matter because the main characters are stupidly one-dimensional. The two kids could be described as simply "cute." That's it. I don't think it's possible to describe them with more than one sentence. They have no personality. You could completely erase one kid, and NOTHING would change. The MC is slightly more bearable, but it's like going from shit to ass. There isn't a single interesting character, except maybe the vampire, but they appear for a minute and never come back. How does a character with one minute of screen time more interesting than the main cast? Overall, this show has a very small target audience: retired grandparents and 4-year-olds trying to learn how to count. Maybe it could be relaxing, but its shitty attempts to make a story make that hard.

A nice and simple SOL isekai. It follows all the standard tropes. There is no overaching story, with the main focus being the daily interactions of the MC and his adopted children. This anime could just as easily have been set in the modern world, and still, 99% of the plot could remain unaltered. Basically, just turn your brain off and relax looking at cute characters doing cute things. If there is one thing to complain about, it would be regarding how overly kind the MC is. He refuses payment even when he is properly deserving of being compensated, and there's a whole mini scene that basically repeats itself every time the MC acts stupid like this. Beyond this minor gripe, it's basically "cute vibes" the anime.

I gotta say I absolutely loved this anime that I binged it in one sitting! Now the low ratings and downtalk doesn’t make sense to me, if this is not your type of anime then that’s that, This anime is meant to be a wholesome show and it was just that, This is not your typical isekai but it has this wholesome twist with the MC taking care of two kids he found upon entering the world, there are other anime’s where the MC communicates with gods as a isekai but this one is the only one with this plot. 10/10 for me I’m not gonna spoil much but if you love wholesomeness then this is def worth a watch

I don't usually like isekai. Generally I only watch it if it promises something not bog-standard, or if it interests me, or if it promises its heart to me, or if it's really cute... This isekai was more to my liking then most, which is to say, not very, but still. I watched it through. The "hook" to this isekai is that the MC finds a couple of children, and takes them in as his own, and makes his way through the isekai world as a father or older brother or something. It was mostly a useless hook, except they did one thing really well, and it was enough to impress me. They made the children actual children. I remember another anime, and I've watched so many I've forgotten which one, where there's a little girl about six years old found under similar circumstances, and she's, well, a little adult. She's bussing tables at the bar, being all cute, and everyone falls in love with her. These children aren't like that. They're children. They're not quite as mercurial, noisy, and messy as real children are, but they process things much like real children would. They ape what they adults do without really understanding why they do it, they pounce on things with little thought and single-mindedly, they hide behind the MCs legs when they're scared... they're five year old children. That's really refreshing. It's not done perfectly. As I said, they're not as fussy, irritable, and mercurial as children can be, but they got it half right, and considering how most isekais treat children, well, I'll take it. Other than that, it's a bog standard isekai with an OP MC, and, well... that did get kinda boring. Guess it's okay. You might like it if you like isekais. At least they tried to be unique.

Interesting show. It's not as bad as some people are making out. The show is basically a mix of light action, adventure, and childcare. There was a lot more action than I was expecting which made me enjoy it a lot more. I was expecting a slow paced iyashikei with lots of cute kid activities, but these kids do not do kid activities, trust me. This anime has no meat - there's a weak story thrown in there, but it doesn't really do much for it, it feels like it was put there just because it's supposed to have one. That said, the show is still fun to watch, just don't expect any engaging plots, it's basically a man and two kids adventuring and having fun doing it. If you're a person who loves the classic overpowered isekai anime, then give this a try - it might just surprise you.

This anime is one of those you watch to unwind, where you need to switch off your brain and just enjoy the ride. Like many isekai, the isekai premise quickly fades into the background. Instead, the focus shifts to the MC, Takumi, raising two adorable children while adventuring in a fantasy world. The show doesn’t really have much of a plot, there’s no grand storyline or dramatic conflicts. It’s more of a slice-of-life series with light-hearted adventures and wholesome moments. I’d say it’s an easy-to-watch anime. If you're looking for an easy watch with low-stress, feel-good content, this anime may suit your taste.
