Throughout Heaven and Earth... THis is by far the best romance anime of this year! For what this anime has too offer is enough for me to say that I absolutely love this anime!!! The concept of adding an Isekai and a Reverse-Isekai in a story is something that has never once ever happened in anime or manga which is one of the things that make this so special, onto the fact that you have to sleep into to go in and out of the other world. With that part out of the way, lets talk about the Kazuhiro. Kazuhiro, an MC who loves sleeping more than anything that his face that the appearance that he's always half-sleep said many times by Maria from being a officeworker IRL to being a type of adventure that can travel through set distances and sleep great distance with his special ability sure is handy for the type of stuff he be doing. + He's a great cook from what I know since both Maria and Wridra loves his cooking. Overall a helpful/useful MC whos very chill and seems the type of character that you would enjoy Now what can I say about Wridra and Maria... One thing for certain that both of these female MC's are 10/10 certified cuties like c'mon man how am I supposed to talk about them when their mere appearance, the way they act and talk just going bout and how they do around Kazuhiro is beyond cute that its enough to give me type 1 and 2 diabetes. 10/10 anime. Cannot wait for a S2 whenever that comes, given the rating of this anime and how wonderful the manga is doing aswell!!!

German text below -------------------------- And now there's even a double isekai anime: Kazuhiro Kitase regularly oversleeps and finds himself in a fantasy world. There, he has to fight monsters and other humans alongside the elf Mariabelle. But one day, by chance, he takes Mariabelle with him to present-day Japan when he wakes up. The anime repeatedly takes place in both worlds. In the fantasy world, it's all about fighting and survival, while in Japan, the focus is on the cozy side of life: eating, excursions, and sightseeing. Later, Wridra also joins the group. None of this is particularly exciting – but it's still entertaining somehow. This is mainly due to the characters: Kazuhiro, Mariabelle and later Wridra have good chemistry with each other. Their interactions make the anime appealing and provide some nice moments. Unfortunately, the premise of the two worlds doesn't quite live up to its potential. The transitions between fantasy and reality in particular could have offered more depth and surprises. Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! isn't an action-packed blockbuster, but a quiet, charming isekai with a unique concept. If you're in the mood for a relaxed mix of fantasy and everyday life, this is definitely worth checking out.

Story about lonely boy who get the girl from his dreams and showed her Japan. Its lovely, tender, beatiful and very enjoyable to watch, if this is enough for you, because there is literally nothing more. If you don´t count one classy dragongirl. If you find this sufficient, it is definitely anime for you, but if you want or expect more you can start asking questions and noticing problems. Like the romance itself. Its sweet and feels genuine but fits more to first love between inexperienced shy teenagers not adults. Kazuhiro is supposed to be 25, Marie even more than hundred years old. The fact both of them had their first kiss together at this age is really shocking for me. And how their romance developed. They knew each other for years and started to share bed recently but took them so long to get to first kiss and nothing more? Don´t misunderstand me! I don´t demand more fanservice nor spicy stuff. I like when romance is developing slowly, what feels wrong is fact you behave differently at your fourteen and at your twenty five. Being older even without experience (you definitely should have at least with kissing) means you are emotionally more stable, less scared and react more calmly to nakedness, both yours and your partner. You think more about more practical aspects of your relationships, you tend to plan more etc. I see this as missed opportunity. Wholesome adult romance that feels real is kind of rare in anime and something even teenagers could appreciate. It could help this anime to stand out. Another problem is fantasy dreamworld, because if todays Japan is so superior to it in almost every way why would protagonist spend so much time there? He was there more often without her than with her so Marie cannot be the sole reason. Last point of my criticism is absence of any conlusion. I am looking foward to S2 but this really feels like this is just part of the first season cut in random episode. However despite all of these I enjoyed this anime much and don´t regret any second spent with it.

I always LOVE isekai anime that add unique twists like this! Uncle from another World, One Hit Kill Sister, Sasaki and Peeps, and now Welcome to Japan Ms. Elf! I just finished all 12 episodes out and I can say without a doubt this anime is worth the watch! Its a beautiful blend of adventuring in both a fantasy world and the Japanese culture! Our MC is able to traverse the fantasy world while dreaming and at points even bring the fantasy back to his world! How cool is that? So if you are hesitant on watching this anime don't be as it has adventure, comedy, romance and is just overall a fun watch! Not to mention we ACTUALLY get development with the romance in the story so that's AWESOME!!

After finishing Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san, I just sat there for a moment, staring at the screen, not fully ready to leave that world behind. This anime wasn’t just entertaining—it felt personal. I went into it expecting a typical fantasy setup, maybe a few laughs, some light action… but what I got was something way more meaningful. The story slowly wraps around you, not with epic battles or crazy twists, but with warmth, quiet emotions, and characters that genuinely feel alive. It’s one of those rare shows that doesn’t scream for your attention, but instead whispers gently and leaves a lasting impression. Let me start with Kazuhiro – our MC. He’s not your usual overpowered, loud, “I’m gonna save the world!” type. He’s quiet, a little broken honestly, just trying to get by. His backstory really tugged at me… abandoned by his parents, finding some peace with his grandpa, and using sleep as a coping mechanism to escape reality. That hit close to home for me. There were nights in my own life when I just wanted to shut everything out and dream. I think a lot of us have been there at some point. And this anime somehow... understood that feeling. And then there’s Mariabelle. God. Where do I even begin? She’s the kind of character that doesn’t just walk into your screen – she walks into your heart. Beautiful, kind, a little naive in a good way, and so full of warmth. Her smile literally made me smile, and I don’t say that often. I could write paragraphs trying to describe her charm, but nothing I say will do her justice. You just have to see her. There’s this one hilarious moment when she suddenly appears in Kazuhiro’s room and he’s freaking out, and I just burst out laughing. Like, full-on ugly laugh. The comedy in this anime is so natural – not forced or over-the-top – and I appreciate that. Oh, and Wridra! The voice actress did such a fantastic job. She's got that dignified presence but then suddenly goes full puff-cheek mode when asking for something sweet. I rewound a few scenes just to hear that again. Adorable. The whole cat-person Mewi being treated like a literal cat by Mariabelle? Too cute. Like, I almost teared up during one scene just because of how wholesome it was. This anime doesn’t rely on big fights or drama – it just gives you comfort. It’s like a warm cup of cocoa on a rainy day. What I really loved though… was the core concept. The idea that your dreams are actually real. That you’re living a whole other life in another world when you sleep. And that girl you meet there, the adventures you have… they all mean something. I’ve daydreamed about that exact thing since I was a kid. Watching this anime made it feel like someone out there got it – that maybe I wasn’t alone in wishing for that kind of escape. I swear, when episode 12 ended, I just sat there. Staring. Empty. That kind of post-anime void where you're just not ready to say goodbye. I actually whispered “That’s it?” out loud. I wish there was more. I need more. To the creators – if by some miracle you ever read this: Thank you. Thank you for crafting something so heartfelt, something that feels like a gentle hug to the lonely parts of us. Please, please give us a Season 2. You’ve created a world we’re not ready to leave.

Well worth to see this anime! The story is progressing pretty smoothly even though there is that fact that Kazuhiro is clearly oblivious to Mariabelle's feeling, which is a common thing in anime for as long as anime is a thing. Yet the story is wholesome with some nicely placed humor. I there for fully enjoyed the story. The characters are over all pretty well written, unless you talk about Sven and his companion who are clearly gag characters to some degree just to have a human enemy that in the end are a non-issue. Sven and his companion are rather poorly written (basic gag enemies) which takes away from the story, but are likely to return in a second season if that will be a thing. Both main characters are well written and Kazuhiro teaches Mariabella pretty well when she arrives in the real world. This while also handling his real life job he's actually doing quite well balancing this. I do have to say that it's a plothole that he doesn't really get any sleep at all as when he sleeps he wakes up in the other world and visa versa leaving little to no room for sleep. This makes me wonder on how it's possible that he can even function without going crazy from hardly any sleep if not die. Which is extended to Mariabella and Wridra as well. I'd love to see a second season, Zero-G studio really did a amazing job with this one!

mixed feelings on recommendation some people might like this but most are not cause were talking about isekai here i actually saw this manga years ago but forgot how i stop reading it maybe lacking in chapters or just i wasn't hook in it anyways its isekai but how the anime works is makes the genre conflicted since they can travel back to earth or to fantasy world and can bring people to earth too easily, the plot was good nothing special though but it also has potential to become very good too, just that they going for slow life instead and turn into tour guide to japan but after watching the anime, the anime is turning into pure romance and the title of anime looks like a welcome for elf as a wife ( maybe its just me though but after done watching the anime maybe you will think it too), also this is the type of romance where you get diabetes for sure and dont get mistaken MC IS NOT OVERPOWERED, just letting you guys know or maybe he really is since he can travel back to earth or go to fantasy world using his dream easily

Super comfy. Nihon Elf is nice little reverse (kind of) isekai show all about taking it easy and enjoying the world around you. While it does hiccup a little bit, when it plays to its strengths its a really cozy experience. Nihon Elf has two parts, time spent in Japan and time spent in the fantasy world. The time spent in Japan is more focused on slice of life and character interaction while the time in the fantasy world is a bit more action focused. The Japan focused episodes are far stronger than the fantasy ones as Mariabelle, the elf, makes everything an absolute treat to watch. She is absolutely fascinated by everything in Japan and this is utterly palpable through the screen. Every new thing that she encounters just seems the like the most interesting and fun thing ever and it really brings your mood up. To counter this, the fantasy world episodes are… a little rougher. They seem pulled straight out of your extremely average isekai show and don’t really have much focus. They generally feature Mariabelle and Kazuhiro encountering a problem, returning to the real world to strategize, then returning with the solution. It’s alright but leaves a lot to be desired. The animation isn’t exactly great and everything they encounter ends up being really generic and uninspired. They could have easily gone without this aspect of the show and it would have been much stronger. Luckily the fantasy segments don’t take up too much of the screen time and instead we’re treated to the development of Kazuhrio and Mariabelle’s relationship. They really embody the awkward new couple aspect and it’s pretty endearing to watch them interact. Kazuhiro’s efforts to show Mariabelle around Japan and them becoming closer and closer as the show goes on is pretty endearing and their relationship doesn’t feel like it’s moving at a snails pace as is the case with most romance shows. Kazuhiro is ultimately another generic anime mc but he puts in more effort than most which can be appreciated. Although the isekai segments do end up dragging it down a little bit the iyashiki segments more than make up for it. If nothing else Mariabelle alone is enough to give anyone diabetes with her pure nature and fascination with the world around her. Nihon Elf doesn’t break any new ground but it focuses on its strengths enough to make it worth your time, a great way to unwind.

Welcome to Japan Ms. Elf is the obligatory comfy wholesome watch of the season. Marie and Kazuhiho were one of the highlights to my week and their adventures made my day a lot brighter. While it’s a relatively simple, easy to digest plot, that doesn’t make it any less entertaining. Marie discovering the basic joys of living in modern Japan and just getting overwhelmed by the sudden change in environment left me smiling like an idiot every week, but the way the leads can go between the worlds separated this from your usual reverse isekai! This is such a cute watch and if you’re looking for some wholesome romantic subtext, highly recommend this one! This show definitely has a wish fulfilment premise. I mean, socially awkward guy somehow gets the elf girl of his dreams to show up in his bed one day and his loneliness problem is solved instantly. BUT unlike other series that do stuff like this, it doesn’t rely on fanservice or over the top sexualisation. You have a few fanservice scenes every now and again, but the story is overwhelmingly focused on Marie and Kazuhiho growing closer and overcoming obstacles together. Their unique circumstances and the fact they technically grew up together due to the world traveling gimmick, means this show is more about them slowly realizing how they feel about one another than anything else. It’s got that nice slow burn vibe while not focusing too much on the romance either. It’s just a really chill watch that doesn’t overwhelm you. There is an actual story going on in the fantasy world that slowly gets built up over the course of the season, but for most of the show it’s a nice slice of life. I liked this show from the start, but once Wridra, aka best wingdragon got introduced I fell even deeper in love. It’s nice to have a story with multiple girls and one of them is just supporting the other girl instead of harem stuff. The chemistry with the main cast was brilliant and the seiyuus made every conversation feel like a riot. I’ll certainly miss these loveable idiots. Production wise the show is your standard seasonal fantasy fair, BUT my goodness Marie has one of the prettiest designs I’ve ever seen. Every episode I was able to get a handful of screenshots for her because she just looks stunning in anything. Emilia WHO?! There’s not a ton that can be said about the show honestly, it’s a really chill and cozy watch that’s good for romance and general slice of life fans. Don’t come into this expecting overt romance, it’s a very slow burn where you can see the characters warming up to one another, but that doesn’t make it any less special! Elf-San Youkoso gets a very solid 8 out of 10!

To go from being the only one able to visit a fantasy world in your dreams, to suddenly bringing an elf girl with you back to japan, certainly is a wonderful surprise. In Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf, are we following Kazuhiro and Mariabelle, one being a man from japan and the other a female elf from a fantasy world. With them do we switch between two different aspects of the show, one being a more slice of life style and the other a classic fantasy adventure. But it is bound together by our two main characters. The plot of the show is also very much tied to the two different aspects of it, with it giving two different plotlines to follow, one in each world with a little bit of overlap. This could easily give a very confused plotline or a lackluster one, but the show knows how to fuse them. The way they fuse the two plotlines is by keeping it fairly simple, not in a bad way, but in a way that makes it easy to follow and digest. This combination of the plotlines helps keep the plot fresh and comfortable to watch, which pairs well up with the rest of the show. Character wise is the focus very much on the two main characters, with some focus on specific side characters. The main characters really ties the show together, since they are the ones that travel between the worlds, this also gives room for the characters to evolve and be affected on multiple fronts. For the progression of the two of them is it a very predictable progression, but still a nice one at that, they each learn and adapt in the two worlds, and slowly push their own relationship forward. The side characters are not too detailed, but are paid the amount of detail needed for them to support the show and the main characters. It is really the two main characters that actually influence the story and live up to what is expected, while the rest of the cast just fill out their roles. The show as a whole is very much a relaxed show and made to be comfortable to watch, which is very well made with the fusion and switch between the two aspects. This is also supported by having characters that learn more about their worlds and are developing a deeper connection, while still keeping it all light and fun to watch. So overall is this a great watch, especially if you want something more relaxed and light to watch, if that is so I would definitely recommend watching this anime.
