After having finished this anime, I feel pretty safe in repeating what my preliminary review said: it's fine. Everything is fine. Nothing is great. Nothing is particularly bad. It's... fine. That is simultaneously the best and worst thing I can say about this anime: it's fine. The show manages to do everything that it sets out to do, which is basically to "not completely suck" and it manages to do that. However, when not being terrible is the height of your ambition, it's also the best you can hope to accomplish. So this show... doesn't suck; which is not praise. It is forgettable mediocrity: something to pass some time and then forget everything about it in less time than it takes you to click on a different show to watch. The show's title tells you all you need to know about the concept. When you start watching it, you get this vague feeling like you've seen this all before, and now it's all being delivered to you in the most-slightly-better-than-bad version possible; if you told me that an AI wrote this anime, I'd believe you. Everything feels like it's going down a checklist of what you expect to see: the harem that the protag doesn't realize is developing around him; the superior who passes all their work onto him; the overconfident, mustache-twirling villains; the inexplicably ever-increasing number of people who know the secret; and of course the OP protag. I could spend a section writing about what is good and what's bad, but it doesn't really matter: the good stuff is merely satisfactory, and the bad stuff is pretty forgivable. Everything is just fine: no more, and no less. So, it's fine. You can do worse if you're just looking for some media content to fill the air. But you can also do better.

The premise seems good and it's refreshing to see a world from some other perspective other than the good side. I just didn't expect the attitude and personality of the MC being what it is when he's lived all his life with the Demons. The story is kind of ridiculous but it's understood much clearly in later episodes. I kind of find it funny that on episode 6 at the end of the episode such graphical oversight happened too. I personally think it is a wonderful story, magnific, superb even. There's no relation to game elements, RPG, and such. The incantations for spells is quite original it isn't clear what they're saying at all. Perhaps with persistence you can. I wish there is a proper end to this of Demon kind world domination.

A relatively new anime at the time of writing this review with a nice twist on the demon vs. human dynamics that many anime of the fantasy and magic tag/genre have focused and been based on. For what sets it apart from other anime which are like it by its setting is the unique twist of a human collaborator on the side of the demons. However, unlike some anime where there are humans siding with non-humans fighting humans, this human, our protagonist, Ike, is working not only for the cause of the demon army, but as a reformer. This reform outset of Ike is what sets him apart for other characters of his type, the collaborator, because what makes him a very interesting main character is how different he is from his counterparts which are also his coworkers and how mysterious he aims to conceal himself to be where he is determined to maintain an apparatus, appearing as if he is a nonhuman. This preface coupled with implementation of the plot by his more that above combat prowess and commander intelligence is one which was bound to set him apart from those he works with but also, setting him apart from those who would assume that for some reason, he human. This makes his concealment all the more wiser, unintentionally, but also makes his concealment more dastardly. As a result, the rating attached to this anime, to this review due to the way of implementation are based on style and uniqueness of the setting.

This is honestly a weird adaptation While i have not read the source material, i could tell that story is quite rushed I wonder if its a problem with adaptation or with source material itself Cut this adaptation in half like Phil Swift and it would been way better as pace could been made slower The pace is like watching a drag race, you start the episode and the next moment episode is finished and you are left a bit confused where your time go or its 12-13min episode Its not the "product" of being absorbed into the episode due to it being thanks to intricate yet well paced story telling... Its closer to bombarding you with so much content that its similar to TikTok's or Shorts Not a good thing but certainly not a bad one to a degree For example i didnt even knew this is Isekai series, i have not noticed a single mention of it. I was impressed this is more of a fantasy adventure anime That might be me just missing it, but thats one of the problems of this high speed story telling Character development was ok, no matter the series it always can be better.. Sadly due to pace of the anime some interaction consequences were not explored more which is a shame honestly Post battle interactions and recovery is usually as interesting to see as the battles themselves They did use some classic cliches that are tad bit overused and the time could been used to explore other aspects or even mention them Battles were main focus ofc, and you can see they paid more attention to them, maybe it gets a bit stale due to the usual formula but overall good enough OP was kinda OK pick, but ED... Idk its hard to put it in words. Maybe it was picked to give you a brief moment to relax from the pace the adaptation was at Sound design was ok, nothing too special but no bad easily noticeable mistakes Animation was relatively consistent, there are flaws of course but mostly on background characters Like sometimes MC's "lich core" looked more like png than something with depth CGI was blended well enough for me to not see anything standing out too much unless i really looked for it Overall 8/10 Better than average adaptation these days

Okay, the show has an interesting premise - someone who would not otherwise belong somewhere is OP in that responsibility. However, even though IKE (the main character grew up in this world and learned from his predecessor it fails to explain something critical - this is not an issekai, so how on (name planet of the show) does IKE know what a firearm is? It doesn't mention at all his origin from another world, nor anything of the like. He did not die and reincarnate (as far as we know) and yet he knows things that do not even belong in the world - that is a stretch, one which caused me to rate this as a 6 instead of a 7 or 8. Aside from this, it has promise, as long as no other glaring issues (such as the above) arise or as long as they can explain why IKE knows these things he shouldn't.

This anime is a clear example of how a great opportunity for innovation in the genre can be wasted—not by revolutionizing it, but by settling into such a state of creative laziness that it ends up being boring. The plot is overly simplistic and basic, and the supporting characters are more like puppets, unfortunately in a negative sense. They're used as mere props for the protagonist, with shallow, caricature-like traits that rely on repetitive and tired stereotypes. The battles are almost nonexistent, with only a few rare exceptions. They unfold in one of two ways: either you're bored watching the protagonist lift a staff, or you're subjected to awkwardly animated monsters that move clumsily, though at least they follow some kind of logic. One of the few strengths of this work, however, is the protagonist's intelligence and cunning in battle, which is highlighted through comparisons with other generals, both demonic and human. His intellect makes him far more interesting as a character than his embarrassingly underwhelming combat style, marred by poorly depicted and awkwardly executed magic. In conclusion, while the protagonist's strategic mind offers some redeeming qualities, the anime falls flat due to weak storytelling, bland supporting characters, and uninspired battle sequences. It ultimately squanders what could have been a compelling narrative.
