Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I’m Actually the Strongest — Can we be done with these so-called "weak" classes that are OP as heck but paired with what I can tell is the most egregious choice of picking an even worse MC? "Turn off your brain and just enjoy the ride, no matter how truly good or bad it is." Don't you feel that lots of people have been calling shows as is and think that they can emit the same feelings as you do? It's definitely annoying, yes, but this repetitive trope will never go away for shows that "feel" like they deserve the quote above but end up being severely underwhelming, so there's no justification to prove otherwise. Case in point, novelist Ibarakino's Fuguushoku "Kanteishi" ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta: Naraku de Kitaeta Saikyou no "Shingan" de Musou suru a.k.a Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest, is yet another story in the vein of weak-willed MCs that have OP powers attached to them but couldn't even muster one single ounce of a personal conviction for the audience to connect with him/her. Sometimes there are throwaway characters that duly just need not be cared about, and yet, there's MC Ein, the young man who's the butt of the joke being given the "Appraiser" skill from birth (as are others being done the same, being god-given), so while some people are born heroes, Ein unfortunately belonged to the boons, destined to be tortured by people as a tool for their bidding and cast on the wayside. However, one such misadventure led him to die a painful death after surviving such a harrowing life...only to wake up at the foot of a World Tree, only to recover miraculously alongside a new eye that he lost trying to deal with S-rank monsters the moment he walked out of that Sanctuary. With the right equipment, one's garbage is another man's treasure, and Ein effectively gained that treasure by having part of the World Tree as his new form of sight after losing a part of his eye, which, when paired with his Appraiser skill, becomes a tour de force to be reckoned with. Also, being kind will get you a love interest. See where this is all going? Despite having the major plot quest of the World Tree Spirit of Yuri and her guardian of Ursula to find her other sisters, Ein having to start from scratch to improve his skill, and speaking of his new Spirit Eye being able to attain powerful abilities from just about any human or monster to make it his own, that alone should be enough to suffice his Appraiser skill being mended into a skill that finally makes him strong, and for good reason. However, the reason standing that you'd think that his personality would follow along as well...nope, it was a total misdirect to think that Ein is like Honey Lemon Soda's Uka Ishimori and deals with her bullies all the same by the "forgive and let live" rhetoric. In fact, Ein's world has already been stretched to the point of determining who excels and who falls, and at the scrutiny of his once captives, Ein chooses to do the same but sometimes has second thoughts and thinks twice to commit to the full deal of ending his captives' lives for being unsalvageable, hence his goody-two-shoes personality of just wanting to forgive because there's no reason to fight against one's oppression out of jealousy, even if it's out of revenge. That should have been a massive red flag, but yet, this is his personality, and I kind of wonder what the author is smoking with his character. And as if the harem of the World Tree sisters and guardians all goo goo-gaa over Ein once they get to know him, it's just a trope for crying out loud, but a trope that's manifested in the wrong way (despite it being essential for Yuri's quest). In the 5 years of anime since its inception in 2017, I always thought that Okuruto Noboru is one of a handful of 3rd-rate studios trying to be the solution to the problem that the anime industry has had for years at this point, though the studio's biography just doesn't paint a good picture overall. Needless to say, next to the rather great showing of Spring 2022's Tomodachi Game, which has a similar premise and setting, the production never came close to that grittiness with its revenge-edge style story, instead opting for rather standard animation that just gets the job done. I mean, that's fine and all, but it's just nothing special. Even the OST is rather lacking and is just white noise overall. As "good" as both Asterism's OP and 22/7's ED songs are, they would've been fine for other shows, but this show is just only fitting for Asterism, and 22/7 finding their song here just does not fit the narrative whatsoever. Don't go thinking that Fuguushoku "Kanteishi" ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta: Naraku de Kitaeta Saikyou no "Shingan" de Musou suru a.k.a Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest will be anything like Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi a.k.a Redo of Healer, because as a revenge story, it's just very tame and just not executed all that well. Even as a guilty pleasure, the number of issues outweighs the good, and it will only frustrate you to try and connect with this show, where subpar writing doesn't make a good show.

Now that this anime has come to an end I'll say that this been an amazing ride. We saw Ein each ep rebuild his character greater and greater, becoming an overall better and stronger person with the full support of those he loves and those that love him as more and more spirits enter his lives as he saves them and reunites them with their sisters. This isn't just a character development for Ein but also for everyone, Ursula, Yuri, Pina, Kursh, Akahane, Kurohime, Alice, and lastly May in many ways more or less. Now not sure why this anime is getting all these negative reviews that 100% isn't deserving of, either they haven't been paying attention or drop it early on. EIther way I beg to differ with their mere opinions. 10/10 Cannot wait for S2 to come bout

Starts out semi promising then turns into yet another worthless beta b!tch MC won't kill the purely evil characters no matter what regardless of how much evil and literal child sacrifice they commit in from of him. If you are some kind of brain dead Canadian who thinks that "If you kill you enimies they win" then you will love this show. More info because the sh!t ass review system won't let me publish the actual minimun you need to know: Characters are all flat and have no growth throughout the show. As a harem anime the fanservice is lacking greatly with nothing titilating being shown and as the MC is a dense retard who cannot figure out even the most overt of advances on him zero progress happens on any of the possible relationship fronts.

So I just finished this anime and although I did a review initially after 6 episodes I wanted to update my thoughts. I must say even though the concept of this show has done before Even Given the Worthless Appraisal Class has a unique and fun environment in which it accomplishes its story. In classic fashion we have an MC who's skill is deemed worthless by society as a whole, he is betrayed and in turn gets stronger as a result of his skill not being so worthless after all. What is unique about this story is it focuses on a skill or class most anime fans have seen in one form or another, the Appraisal skill. In most anime stories this skill is almost EXCLUSIVELY a support skill or job where you are never in harms way. With this story we get to see our MC use this skill in combat not only to know his opponents skills and counter their attacks but upon defeating them, his ability to appraise and take those skills for his own. This adds a unique level to the series that we don't get with most Appraisal MCs. If you are looking for something a little more lighthearted in the Betrayed MC Becomes OP trope than you should give this anime a watch! It might just surprise you. If I had to describe it in terms of other anime I would say its a mix of Arifureta, Tales of Wedding Rings & Worlds Finest Assassin, so I hope that helps!!! This series was a very fun watch as each Spirit was unique and quirky in their own right which only added to the series as a whole. I am super hopeful that this anime will get a S2 so we can see Ein unite all of the spirits! 4 more to go!

This anime is quite good, especially if you're a fan of the harem genre. As expected, it follows the usual tropes, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. The characters are incredibly cute and add a lot of charm to the story. Their interactions, comedic moments, and distinct personalities make the anime fun to watch. The storyline itself is decent, though I find it a bit predictable. It doesn’t bring anything particularly new or groundbreaking to the genre, but it still manages to entertain. The pacing is smooth, and the episodes flow nicely, making it an easy watch without feeling too slow or rushed. Visually, the animation is vibrant, and the character designs are appealing. The voice acting is also well done, enhancing each character’s personality and making their emotions more engaging. The humor is lighthearted and enjoyable, which helps keep the overall tone fun and relaxing. I’d say this anime is perfect for when you’re looking for something casual to watch, especially if you’ve run out of other options on your watchlist. It might not be the most memorable series out there, but it’s still a fun and charming experience for fans of the genre.

At first, I was excited, and the anime really seemed promising. Then the creators decided to bombard us with a ridiculously huge amount of unfunny jokes and embarrassing behavior from every character. I don’t even feel like mentioning the MC, who’s trying to be the new Tanjiro. If anyone gives this anime more than a 5/10, it's probably just because of the ecchi nothing else. The only thing that could have changed my opinion would be an ending where the goddesses, after using the MC to the fullest, finally end his life, but that didn’t happen. For me, it’s a 3/10.

The story was predictable. I had hoped it would be fresh and exciting since it premiered in 2025. However, throughout all 12 episodes, it remained predictable. Many anime had a similar plot where the main character was powerful and defeated the villains after being reincarnated, revived, or surviving a serious tragedy. Even within this familiar setup, there were usually a few unique scenes or traits. I knew the title suggested predictability, but I still watched it, expecting something different. In the end, it was just as I thought: predictable. Eins survived a personal tragedy and became stronger thanks to a girl who supported him on his journey. His real strength came from the girls he met along the way. His adventure began when one girl fell in love with him, giving him the strength he needed to survive. This plot was predictable. I had expected to see what happened to Echidna and why. Since Echidna was a spirit, I felt excited about that part. But as I watched, I didn't find anything relevant. For 12 episodes, I waited for an explanation for that scene, but it never came. The animation was good, but not thrilling. It was decent compared to other animations that felt like slide presentations.

Plot/Story: Quite stale tbh. I mean this is one of those OP MC anime, which usually doesn't really have a good plot which is fine and you just watch it for the OPness. But this one I feel like it's trying to be both, which results in it being half baked. Not very enjoyable OP power/MC, and not very good plot. 5/10. Animation: Not the worst, like not as bad as The New Gate. But the animation in fights is awkward and doesn't look fluid, aka lazy animation. Even the normal animation outside fights feels a bit wonky. 5/10. Cringe: Has some moments where it feels very cringey. Like the MCs interaction with the girls. The cringiness I wouldn't say is as bad as Tensei Kizoku no Isekai Boukenroku: Jichou wo Shiranai Kamigami no Shito. If the cringiness in Tensei Kizoku no Isekai Boukenroku: Jichou wo Shiranai Kamigami no Shito is annoying, this one feels stale and boring. 5/10. MC: Stale. Typicaly wimpy nice guy MC, but less enjoyable to watch. 5/10. Hype moments: Almost none tbh. It was quite exciting in the beginning when the MC gets his power. But other than that, not so much that motivates you and keep you going. 4/10 Overall: I would give it a 5.8/10. It's an okay watch. Quite stale and boring at times, but at least it's not annoying to watch.

The best thing about this anime is the character design... and that's it. Another fantasy harem story hitting our screens. I'd honestly like to try my best to find at least two or three reasons why you should give it a chance, but I can't list more than one. That's the biggest sign that watching this anime might be more of a waste of time than a pleasant afternoon. The first two episodes try to be a story with more blood than average, but the blood only lasts in those episodes. Later on, this aspect isn't relevant. The protagonist starts by giving us something different, having to reshape his body to get used to the powerful abilities he's acquiring, but once again, this only lasts in the initial part of the anime. The highlight and the only good reason I have to recommend it is the character design. Whether the character is a main character, a supporting character, an NPC, or a villain, the design naturally draws the eye. It's very likely that the only reason you'll stick around to finish the anime is because you like one of the girls, but other than that, there's nothing truly engaging about the story. The conflicts are resolved too quickly, the villains carry no weight. On top of that, the fights are over in seconds, so you don't even get a feel for the bad guy once he's defeated. Continuity is a big problem as the story progresses because you feel like you're skipping two or three chapters. The beginning of one chapter has nothing to do with the end of the previous one, and characters arrive at locations from one scene to the next, meaningless because the dungeons are supposed to be secret, but the main character seems to have direct access to every single one. If you're looking for something visually beautiful that doesn't require much attention, you'll probably like this. Still, I'd recommend looking for something better than this.

The show was pretty good up until he went full Pollyanna. I'm not saying he couldn't be idealistic or had to be edgy, but there should be a limit to how campy someone is. It just got annoying to watch, not because the action was bad, but the MC just kept doubling down on the "I need to be a good person and save everyone because I was helped and saved!" ...somehow this review needs more information, and the suggested bullets are all things I already addressed. -It's not unique, but its fine in that it follows the get an OP power trope -The art is fine -The characters were disappointing. The sisters all seem to embody a "moe" trope and the MC doubles and triples down on the "I've got to use my power to be a good person!" to the point of obnoxiousness -It started out realistic with showing off human greed and its the bad nature, but then it was like "The MC said a thing, so the last 15 or so years of being treated like garbage don't matter anymore and we can move on!" -Even turning off the brain doesn't make this watchable and I have a pretty high tolerance for Isekai. It can be as cookie cutter and use all the tropes it wants, but when you make the protagonist incredibly annoying to root for and their misguided notion of making the world better by doing the dumbest possible stuff and making life harder on himself and everyone else around, it just becomes a bit much.

if you go into this show expecting to watch the next aot with crazy plot and character development you will be disappointed but if you go into this show expecting a light watch and to watch something filled with fun yet still interesting characters it’s for you. it does follow all the generic genre paradigms of a fantasy/adventure show but what i think it does better then most of the same shows is that the characters are very loveable and it’s a good funny show to watch. The plot is very thin and straightforward but it does get you hooked and wanting to know what happens next and the man idea of the plot very interesting and exciting. The main Mc is a good character who funny at most times. The other MCs being the sisters are funny and the interactions between the sisters and the sisters to the MC is very wholesome and funny to watch. The MC does becomes OP by the second episode but to watch his skills grow and become more OP is fun. i think overall, if you go into the show expecting a masterpiece of literature your going to be disappointed no matter what. But if you go into the show with an open mind and an attitude of a fun and a lighthearted watch, you will definitely enjoy it. All the characters are loveable and fun, and the plot is easy to understand but still exciting.

Generic, unoriginal, copy and paste garbage. This is another one of these shows where the main character has no growth and is overpowered. Yes, he starts out weak, but quickly becomes overpowered in the first or second episode. He has no challenges and their are no real fights. They hype up dragons and demons, but nothing actually poses a threat to him. There isn't even a redeeming quality in this show. The show isn't funny. There are no compelling stories. Characters feel lifeless. There's no emotion. I was so fed up by the last episode that I just hit the right arrow key to skip quickly through it. The story would have been better if he got ate by the dogs in the first episode.

Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I’m Actually the Strongest trully doesn't leave anything to the imagination. And im not saying that as a compliment. For people who just want the verdict .... TLDR:it's cliche,it's barely mid to be honest. For people intrested in details let's get into it: Now the premise of this show isn't that bad,but it's handled in one of the worst ways possible. This show might not be an isekai, but it really took the worst parts of one and rolled with it. Including the low tier animation. There's no frames i can praise in this entire show.Every fight felt lackluster with barely any movement. And while the animation mostly does that, this is also because the MC is OP. No fight is truly a struggle. And since we are talking about the MC,let's get into how he fares:simply put,he's bad. A bad MC. He's very basic, and not in a good way either. Ever since his first monologue he proves that he's an absolute mongoloid. He knows he has a class really not suited for combat. He knows he didn't swing as much as a stick his entire life, and yet he chooses to become an adventurer to earn his living. And even then,he could've went for fetch quests or herb gathering.Or at least trained to some extent to be semi-useful.But no,MC is out here complaining about how life is unfair and all that.Even though he did nothing to get stronger. And the MC being like this really drags this show down. Thanks to him ,his personality and the fact he's OP,nothing felt earned in this show.No good moment felt like it was deserved. Of course,i doubt the spirits attraction to him would ever be intentionally explained as them being alone for centuries at that point, and him being the first man to ever show any sort of positive emotion towards them, but that's my headcannon anyways. Now,let's get to the world and the monsters inhabiting it/their designs. Quite empty, quite barren.Outisde of when the plot needs to move, there's no monsters.Hell, there's barely any animals shown in this show,or towns for that matter. The monster designs are all very basic and just not aesthetically pleasing in the least.Maybe outside of that Gremlin, who's kinda original i guess. Not even the demons have any intresting designs. The other characters are all.... very carefully walking the rope between being somewhat intresting to watch;either because they make any sequence they are somewhat better, like Ursula for example, who's slowly warms up to the MC,unlike everybody else in the show;but that makes the show look worse, since she feels like an anomaly.Or they are intresting to watch cuz they catch the eye(like Kursh);or being just there to pad up the numbers or move the plot along. Honestly i can't recommend this show, unless you feel an itch like an addict, and this show's just there to give you a quck fix.To pass the time basically. Pretty bad all things considered.

Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest, it was a great anime. I would give it a 10 with how the story is played out and how characters are introduced plus with each new character having their own interesting ability which contributes to him being the strongest, each character is fun in their own way while contributing something. This anime is a masterpiece and I can't wait for another season! The anime is fairly similar to others in it's kind of genre the harem and fantasy genres being the most alike to others but, the way that the characters are brought about is very well done. it's not rushed nor too slow, it also wasn't boring at any point. If someone says that it's bad because of the genre being Harem and Fantasy then what did you expect most people probably picked the anime knowing full well that it was a harem, not to mention that in the picture of the anime title, the main character is in front of a ton of women, also with it saying "I'm actually the strongest with the useless appraiser class" it's showing that it's a fantasy. If people say that they hate it even if they haven't finished the anime, they're just missing out at that point.

I started watching this back when it aired in early January, gave it three episodes, called it trash with a 4/10, and moved on. At least, that was the plan. But lately, YouTube kept throwing shorts from this show at me, so I gave it another chance. You know what? Bad idea. When it comes to story depth, this anime is about as deep as a puddle. It crams in every overused trope you can think of—harem, overpowered MC, human vs. demon conflict—but executes them so poorly it’s almost impressive. And of course, our main character has a heart of gold despite being treated like garbage his whole life. Believable? Not at all. Artstyle and animation are equally uninspired. Mediocre at best, and nothing worth praising. Overall, even if you’re bored, I can’t recommend this one. There are far better ways to waste your time.

Story: The story is a somewhat generic power fantasy and harem story, which is to say not that interesting. It is however better than the average slice of life or romance anime so I will give it that. I'll give the story a 4/10 and that's mostly because things actually happen and it feels somewhat interesting. Art style and animation: The animation is pretty standard, not super cheap nor super flashy and high quality. So I'd say it's average in that regard. Characters: The characters were alright, not super full of personality and somewhat one dimensional. Not of them really made me laugh. The art style for them is slightly odd, the outfits look better than most fantasy anime outfits but the way the humans are draw just looks too fake and off. And I know it's a japanese thing but it was odd to me be watching an anime where you're meant to be attracted to the female characters and yet most of them look too petite and underdeveloped for me to find attractive. It also doesn't help that the dub voice acting is very generic. So in terms of characters the outfits are somewhat good but other than that it's not looking too good. I don't think I regret watching this anime, but it's not good enough that I can actually recommend it to people, and I'm really glad it's only 12 episode and not 24 because otherwise I would not have been willing to finish it. It just kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I'm not really a fan.

As overpowered, as overpowered go. So much so that I would rate lower if that's the basis. But hey, I actually liked the characters so I enjoyed the whole thing! MC's appraisal skill became so overpowered he can predict moves AND copy all skills/spells simply by appraising. This happened because his eye is made up of the core of Yuri, one of the nine spirits of yggdrasil scattered around the world. In exchange, he promised to reunite Yuri will all her sisters. And every sister they find, they turn into a companion. So 9 sisters... You'd think that's a HUUUGE number of characters to collect. But wait til I tell you, every yggdrasil spirit has a guardian. So multiply that by 2 😂 Include a king, a princess, a merchant, guild master, townspeople, villains, and goodness, there are so many characters in this anime! 😅 I also like the art. Most of the characters are pretty and unique in their own way. My personal favorite is Ursula which we meet very early on. All in all, i recommend this to fantasy/isekai/op-mc lovers!

This anime was one of the rare times I watched every single episode in 1 sitting. For the last few weeks I've been in a bit of a slump with anime. Lately I haven't found any that I've fully enjoyed with the exception of the seasonal anime currently going on but Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I’m Actually the Strongest managed to make me watch it start to finish and enjoy every moment of it. I can see why this anime seems to be very mixed with the community. On the surface it comes across as another generic ass fantasy anime in which the main character starts off weak and within the span of like 30 minutes becomes ridiculously over powered and can defeat any monster in one hit. And for the most part, that is how it begins. Maybe I'm just that de-sensitized to it at this point but I didn't mind it this time. Normally I hate that trope but it felt different this time. Yeah, there was quite a lot of monsters he easily defeated in one hit, even S rank monsters. However, there was also a lot of monsters that made Ein really think about what he was doing. It felt like the way they set it up was to cut out the filler monsters, and only make the important battles the ones he had to think about which I appreciated. The story itself I thought was decent, but I'm also a sucker for up and coming characters that start out weak and hated and work their way up. The biggest example I can give is Shield Hero with Naofumi. Ein himself was also pretty likable and I liked pretty much all the sisters that was introduced. Pina was a little bit annoying and Ursula took some growing on me but none of them were bad in my opinion. Alice was definitely the best in my books but that one is 100% biased as shy girls are my favorite (Sumi literally being my current profile picture) I really hope for a season 2, but with how negative the reception to this anime appears to be, it seems unlikely. Really glad I picked this one up 7/10

Watching this anime felt like meeting someone new. At first, they seemed great, but the more I got to know them, the more their bad sides showed. This anime was exactly the same. When I first watched the first 3 episodes, I was quite interested in the story. However, as I continued watching, I started to feel weird about it and grew to dislike the story. I still don't understand why the MC, with his appraisal skill, even decided to become an adventurer. Someone with a skill like that just isn't cut out to be an adventurer. Why didn't he just become a merchant if all he wanted was to change his life? I simply couldn't grasp the MC's motivation for becoming an adventurer. Then, the further I watched, the more I got fed up with the MC's incredibly naïve personality. The visuals themselves are just average in my opinion; there's nothing special about them. The music is just as forgettable; nothing memorable at all. I definitely don't recommend watching this anime because I honestly can't find anything that makes me want to recommend it to you.

My god was this a tragedy. Genuinely interesting first two? episodes laying out the character and then the powers he gains in what I felt was a pretty unique setting and situation! Then it immediately descended into worthless horny drivel of every single breathing thing around the MC throwing themselves endless at the MC with an unending list of anime tropes. Feels like the makers had a concept and nothing else and just needed to get their rocks off fanaticizing for themselves. They've set up for a season two, which I strongly hope does not occur. They give the MC a background, and you understand who he is and why he is the way he is, but they also abandon that hierarchy except for one mention in an episode about midway in, and even at that point, the plot point is forgotten due to the drivel that has already started. Don't get me started on the last episode and a half either. They literally ran out of story and just spent it...cleaning a castle while having everyone hit on the MC? There were several points I just skipped five seconds just because I was aware nothing of value was happening. If you want to get your fan service and pretend large endowed woman fawn over you, this is the show for you, if you want plot and character development, RUN.
