As someone who is a Business Administration student I really enjoyed this anime. You might wonder why? Because this Isekai-fantasy anime really portraited some of the real world business theories. Uchimura is just an average salaryman who got summoned by Demon Lord. Now he became a 4th elite general of the demon army. He begins to reform the demon army's operation by applying modern business principles to improve efficiency, morale and overall effectiveness. One of the standout aspects of this anime is its clever integration of real-world business theories into a fantasy setting. The protagonist utilizes concepts such as SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and even motivational theories like Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to transform the demon army. This unique approach not only makes the story engaging but also provides viewers with a practical understanding of these theories in a fun and accessible way. This anime does a excellent job in terms of balancing both comedy and action. Other characters of the demon army's are hilarious as well. Specially Ulmandar. Her tasks(love for Uchimura) fails successfully. But overall the characters are well written with a mix of camaraderie, rivalry and mutual respect. The animation quality and character designs are top notch. But didn't liked the Opening and ending song that much. In conclusion, this anime is a unique blend of both fantasy and corporate drama. Must watch for those who are interested in Business and Management.

An isekai where the MC is a salary man/manager that was in a really toxic environment at his company, where he got a lot of trauma, and then gets transported to be directly one of the 4 generals in a new country to help them there, while the demon lord that leads that country is coaching him. This anime feels to me like a top one in bottom tier isekais. The story has a pretty interesting premise, with the really talented kind of manager that gets destroyed by his company and colleagues and is unappreciated, getting a new "work environment" as a general in another world, but the execution is all over the place and plot holes pop up a lot. While this could have been an anime where the story would emphasize what a good people leader can do in a country, how complex problems get fixed in a country divided by so many things and that gets so many calamities and potential disasters... it was not. I would even say it is almost childish a bit how everything gets resolved most of the time, but it mostly feels like the author didn't really put much emphasis on the realistic ways of things. Either that or the anime team really cut a lot of stuff out and/or diverged from the source material, which tbh it feels like that quite a few times, especially the rushing. There was an event that was very important, if not even the most important event in the whole anime and that country's existance, and it got rushed to hell, full of really weird and imo dumb decisions that don't make sense. Like for example sending a chunk of your army back after a fight on the front, even though you know the fighting didn't finish.... and that wasn't even the dumbest thing when it came to that part, but I won't say much as it might spoil something. So if it's not an anime that is about what you would kinda expect from the premise of the anime, what is it about? It surely isn't about the MC getting together with the FMC, even tho the FMC throws all the signs at him and this man looks at those signs like a toddler at the drying of wet painting on a wall, which really put a down on me watching it because this man is an ADULT and acts so indifferent to her, even though he should have a really high emotional intelligence and should be able to read/catch SOMETHING like that from her. Tbh if the anime would have developed their relationship, I would have had a really good time with it and put it in mid, but it didn't... So now to answer the question: this anime is just about an overworked, unappreciated salaryman that got destroyed in real world, getting isekaied and being healed by the new work environment, where the demon lord literally acts like his psychologist or something trying to help the MC mentally. And this gets us to the characters. As I've said, MC is kinda a talented wimp that needs help, mental help. But then he shows that he can act cool and all and can be really good, and the next thing you see is him kneeling and asking forgiveness and to be sent back home because he couldn't do a good enough job, even tho he got the best result possible. After a few scenes like this, it got annoying pretty quick. But then we see why they need him there... most "people" there are dumb... really dumb. Or lazy. Characters would come, get a pretty good position in the story, and then barely appear anymore. The relations between characters do feel underdeveloped, but they do show them like they developed it already behind the scenes, which for a type of anime like this, it is pretty bad, as the world building should have been top tier for it to work, because that's one of the main premises of the story: MC helping the country work in that WORLD, so it would be criminal to not get a WORLD and not be shown world building... so as you could guess, the world building kinda sucks. Barely anything gets explained, a lot of things are simpleton stuff that is close to them being childish... Also that country feels sometimes so small with how quick they get from one point to another, then they talk like it's so big... I don't even know how big that country is. I saw a map, and thought it was pretty big, but they never explain time and distance in that anime, so I never get an actual idea like "it takes 5 days by carriage to get there". A lot of time characters would just pop up in one part of the country after another like it was just a small walk distance. So yea, there's really not much going on good for this anime... everything feels subpar, underdeveloped and underdelivered to the point where even you might ask why do it in this weak way? Oh, btw, they try to be funny and comedic sometimes... for me the jokes did not hit... mostly felt cringe. Story: 5 -- Not what I expected with such a premise. I was not in for a psychology appointment for the MC, with a subpar and underdelivered world that should have been a big chunk of this story, because of the premise the MC helps that country as a general to become better in the context of that world. Also the plot holes, the rushing and the simpleton ways of presenting and solving problems really did not help... Art: 6 -- I do not like being shown a lot of people, a lot of enemies, then when the action comes, I see 5 people fighting 7 enemies and not be told anything else... And also, if those "a lot of people" are their big army that should have helped in that very important situation... ye, kinda bad... The CGI was somewhat decent at times, but they just don't want to show too much of something, even though that something sounded to be big and very important. Music: 9 -- Here I think is the strongest point of this anime, as you get to listen to a part of an old japanese song each episode which are very nice + the OP and ED are pretty good. Characters: 6 -- I do not like the MC. I do like the FMC but I started to feel bad for her after some time... The other characters come and go, some barely even come back for much, even though they are in a position that they should... the Demon Lord, the psychologist of this anime that tries to help MC get better, doesn't get explained much as well... Cannot say there are a lot of characters with big impacts that left some kind of effect on me and made me care about them besides the FMC. Enjoyment: 6 -- Didn't have much of a good time. Overall: 6 Right now it has 6.61 from 33.106 votes Ranked #6469 Popularity #2438 Members 87,220 as of 13/04/2025. This anime is a time waster. Nothing of substance is in it and I cannot really recommend it on good faith to anyone. There are way too many animes that atleast do something good in a certain area, that make this anime to be a low priority imho.

As others have pointed out, this anime has some similarities to "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom", but it still feels unique. Aside from a few unnecessary clichés, nothing seems directly copied—at least from other anime; I can't speak for the manga. Like "Realist Hero", some of the challenges were fairly obvious, but Uchimura managed to solve them faster and with less information. He successfully applied real-world business strategies, which, being more advanced than those of a medieval fantasy world, helped him improve the country and its surroundings. While I rated "Realist Hero" an 8/10 (rounded up from 7.5), this anime barely made it to a 7/10. Uchimura’s portrayal and his “PTSD” from toxic work culture were handled well, but everything else was just average, with below-average voice acting.

This show was amazing and revolutionary. The business and methodology aspect of this show really introduces what goes into developing and managing a country well. There were multiple instances through out the show where there was cleaver story building from start to end. A majority of the characters had viable motivation that pushed the story forward making them more three-dimensional. The world building was on another level because the watchers were given a chance to imagine the details of the world and gives reason for Uchimura to think the way he thinks. Despite the fact that praises are being sung, there are a two miniscule problems that reside in the show as well. One, is the animation quality was 6/10 mostly because the characters movements felt unreal or just wierd; but this was the same for a lot of the life forms displayed in the show. And two, most of the side and background characters are two dimensional and are sometimes bland and non-exicting.

This is the ideal grade C, a beer and bar snacks kind of anime. It is a passing grade. Not a bad drink to end the night with, worth watching, smiling, and moving on. You could almost call this as a paint by numbers isakai. Honestly the most interesting part is the almost "Mind Palace" of the bar that the MC slips into as a way to decompress his emotions and think. More than 12 Episodes would be too much, its done what it has needed to do and not an ounce more. Story is fine. Character designs are fine. Art is fine.

If you looking for something slowlife. I really recommend this one. It has a good plot, strategy, good explanation, and funny too. Im sure this can satisfy you if you looking for slow anime. If you just looking for some battle thing just like the other Isekai anime, you will not enjoy this anime. When i watching this anime (episode one) my first impression is, the demon lord trust him (the mc) more than other do. Just why? And I think this demon lord want something from him. And yes when you watch the last episode. You will know about it. And more important thing is. The girls in this anime are really beautiful. This part I'm most enjoy it. I love orulu.

I'd give it an 8 if it were better, but 7 is good enough. It wasn't good in the sense that it's GOOD, it was good in the sense that it was entertaining and funny, but not good like most genuinely good anime, so it's more of a 7.4-7.6, rather than 8, which is classified as very good. I did really like this, though I just don't feel like it deserves "Very Good". It's light hearted and while there isn't very much depth and it is a bit shallow in terms of not going very deep, it's not bad. If you're looking for an anime that is simple, relaxing, and I'd even go as far as to say "wholesome" from the perspective of an isekai'd salaryman, I'd recommend it as a solid watch. Though I wouldn't suggest it if you are looking for something different, such as a deep, well fleshed-out kind of plot and execution. The pacing is also a bit quick, so if you prefer something that is not so.. fast, per se, this may also not be for you.

An enjoyable story, but you need to be interested in the world of commerce, negotiation, or logistics to appreciate it a little more. This is one of those isekai worlds where the summoned person isn't the strongest, nor does he have a superpowered ability to defeat the bad guys. This world summoned a person who was precisely needed; the combat force was already complete, and someone was needed to manage them. Watching this section can be interesting because these types of office activities, oriented towards a world of fantasy and magic, can be more entertaining when you apply real concepts to fantasy situations. The soundtrack has a lot of personality; they have a theme composed of Spanish guitars that draws you into the atmosphere of the work. Any business meeting sounds better with guitar playing in the background. The animation isn't great, but it's consistent. The animation maintains its quality throughout 12 chapters, with positive peaks where the improvement is quite noticeable. The whole addition of the protagonist's mental bar is quite enjoyable because it helps the play slow down or speed up as needed. It's a great narrative tool that allows you to take a breath before moving on to the important events. Regarding business issues, there's a diverse catalog of problems that require negotiation, marketing, or logistics techniques. The problem is that both the problems and solutions are explained in such a superficial manner that it doesn't matter whether or not you understood the method for solving the problem. The anime speaks to you as if you already have a certain level of knowledge in all the areas it tries to cover with its protagonist. It's not that the knowledge is complex, but it does get a bit technical. I'm not referring to the language; this always tries to be as understandable as possible. Rather, it's technical in the execution of the solution; they only tell you about the solution but don't mention the process to achieve it, assuming you already know that. The characters are charismatic but not memorable. They're characters you'll remember while watching the anime, but once it's over, you won't even remember what color their design was. The lack of action ends up overshadowing the rest of the secondary characters. We're in a warlike world just waiting for war, but the lack of any hint of the sparks that would start the conflict makes you wonder, "Was a summoned character really necessary?" While there's no powerful ability, that doesn't mean things aren't resolved easily. The main character can resolve most problems almost instantly. This is understandable through the context of the main character's past life, but at the same time, it creates an imbalance with the rest of the heavenly kings because they end up being seen more as employees than colleagues. It's a niche anime that has a very clear target audience, so if you're still looking to give it a try, it's not a bad option for a good weekend.

This is a decently good anime. At its core, it's a typical isekai, but what sets it apart is its heavy focus on the basics of marketing. Marketing isn't just about selling products and grabbing attention; it's about understanding your customers, figuring out how to reach them, managing the items within the system, identifying shifts in the system, and adapting to new trends. Our protagonist is transported from another world with knowledge from his own, using it to improve the Demon King's rule and create a better society for demons and demihumans. He is given the position as one of the Big Four Generals, working closely with Ulmandra, the red-haired demon woman, as well as the other two generals. Together, they tackle logistical and cultural challenges within the Demon King's army, using his modern understanding of economics and trade to solve issues that had disrupted their connections. The anime introduces unique perspectives on transactions that you might never have considered in the real world. For example, cultural differences in gestures and behaviors can significantly impact business interactions. A real-life example would be the contrast between Japanese and Hispanic customs about wearing shoes indoors. In Japan, removing your shoes before entering someone's home is a sign of respect, as it keeps the house clean. However, in some Hispanic cultures, where half of my roots come from, removing your shoes in a stranger’s home can be seen as disrespectful, as it implies you are making yourself too comfortable. This anime explores similar concepts in a fantasy setting, showing how cultural nuances can make or break a business transaction. There’s a lot to learn from this anime, and while the story is decent, it’s nothing groundbreaking. As for the music, the opening is alright but forgettable. The ending theme is a slight bop not something I'd put on repeat, but it might make the lower end of an anime playlist, especially for casual listening or workouts. Overall: A good anime, but nothing spectacular. If you skip it, you’re not missing out on anything major, but if you watch it, you might learn a thing or two.

I only finished this, because I had it on in the background, and watched it dubbed. At the start I was interested, but it already annoyed me by the end of episode 1. The premise is interesting, with an under appreciated business man getting some respect for his abilities in another world. I can see how people might relate to that. There's a quite a few issues though. The first, the main girl of the show, starts out completely doubting the human is of any use/worth, and almost kills him. Right at the end of the episode, she instantly falls in love wiht him, and that's the state for the rest of the show. Like jsut from one job, where he realized a minitour liked arguing, and wanted to sleep on hay. It's very dumb and not earned. The second is this stupid bar he keeps going to. I maybe missed it, but it's not explained exactly what is it. Like, is it a place in the palace, just in his mind? Characters show up there and seem not completely themselves, so it seems to be in his imagination. It's never interesting, and fells like filler. They just drag it out. Then, halfway through they introduce slavery, and some despicable people and it doesn't really match the tone of the show at all up to this point. Like, this is the show where they justify all the demon dressing skimpy to show off their bodies/magic power. They aren't supposed to have torture. Like the author wanted to try and take on a serious topic, but they can't handle it. I kind of didn't pay much attention to the last few episodes. I was still able to finish it though, so despite all my complaints it's still an average show for me. There's a lot of better isekai though, no need to watch this unless you ran out and are desperate.

It’s average. Like beige average. The premise of the plot is at best slightly above average, but I could see this do really well with better execution and production quality. There is potential, but in the end it didn’t really leave a good impression on me. I was invested enough to keep watching but some scenes or script writing felt very forced/unnatural likely due to its production quality (which is no issue at all) they probably did the best they could with a reasonable budget so I wouldn’t say it’s horrible. 4/10 script writing. To be honest, I really liked the plot at the start albeit slow, it was interesting enough to have a new perspective of a MC being one of the demon lords underling. That said, there are gaps and questionable reasoning of the plot mostly at the end stage of the season so there is still room to improve. 6/10 plot If you’re into watching slow paced semi-fresh plots this will do but other than that the appeal of this show doesn’t really stick well with me. That’s just my 2 cents

definitely an underrated piece of the season, understandable with such an incredibly packed season this seems like your average isekai but for once its one of those where its creative and we can appreciate the actions of the characters involved above average in execution for an isekai, its not gonna be peak or anything but you do learn some things about commerce as it actually has things to teach and the protag isnt stupid, unlikeable or op, very down to earth in that approach, and has charming music which does help lift up its ambience if you like down to earth isekais with a unique but not overexerted plot i think you may enjoy this

TLDR: Basic Isekai with MC being weak. Uses tactics and experience to solve racial problems between the non humans Story .8/2 Characters 1/2 Music .6/2 Art .6/2 Action .2/2 Overall 6.4/10 A nice something you put on in the background. The plot is whatever, the fighting and strife non existent. You feel it and it's something in passing for the most part since it's solved well easy. Food? Well you aren't cooking it right. Starvation and poor? Well we got a way to fix that through marvelous other worldly thinking and information. There's one threat with the wind general, which was a highlight but over all you get a character. You hear there story, thank you, next. Thank you, next. Who else? Oh series over... become!?! OP sets the mood and is interesting visually, ending is catchy but nothing but main waifu lounging about.

This is a very good isekai, quite original both in its story and its execution. The MC isn't OP at all, far from it; he's a fearful human surrounded by monsters, each as powerful as the next. He's a salaryman who's really good at what he does, and he uses his skills to help his companions; it reminds me of Benriya Saitou, who's in the same vein. Uchimura has very low self-esteem, which can sometimes make him annoying, but he's a normal human after all, with his strengths and weaknesses. And this low self-esteem is precisely one of his flaws (it's even the main one), but it's understandable given his past as a Japanese salaryman exploited by his company. For me, the fact that he's an ordinary human makes the story truly original and quite realistic. In short, if you're looking for an isekai that stands out even a little from the crap we've been getting lately, then this one should make you happy or at least entertain you a little. Personally, I really liked this one and I'm hoping for a second season, even though I have little hope.

Work with extra steps Having read a bit of the manga, I already knew this was going to be a typical one-season isekai anime. That said, it was actually enjoyable to watch after episode 4. Once you get past the slow start it´s actually decent. The premise of the story is that our mc (Uchimura, Dennosuke) a salary man who works for a toxic company, get´s transported into another world by the Demon lord. Aside from the typical hero vs villain plot in most Isekai, this has a distint twist that the actual Demon lord (not really villainous) offers our mc a job to be one of his Elite four generals to help him with his army. Honestly, what made me watch the anime all the way through was Ulmandra’s quirky relationship with the mc. A tsundere and ex-corporate slave—what could go wrong, right? Although it was really cliché at times, I still found it amusing and kept watching. To better summarize this anime, it’s like coffee for coffee lovers. Unless you enjoy generic isekais, this won’t be to your taste. Overall, it’s a decent watch, it´s not great but not crap etiher. Plus it was fun to see a different type of isekai from the norm, especially one centered around managing a demon army. It sort of gives me vibes from "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom", which, by the way, I still have to watch! Damn, there are too many animes I still need to watch... Yay—I mean, uhh. How I rank (This is just my opinion): (Inspired by Huang-Teizan) 10 - Bendicion de Dios 9 - Now, this is Peak!! 8 - Bingeworthy! 7 - Good 6 - Enjoyable 5 - Either Echii or just enough to get by 4 - I´m just here to know how it ends. 3 - Don´t bother 2 - "Are you related to Rent a Girlfriend?" 1 - My head doesn´t explode because it can´t. 0 - "Even a Hentai has a better story than you!"

Very Mid. It has an okay premise but the execution is somewhat repetitive. A surface-level set of characters that serve their purpose narratively, but you will be able to figure out almost everything immediately. For example the suited demon is clearly who you think it is. And there really isn't much more intriguing content aside from that. Don't go into this show expecting it to be some groundbreaking work or really make you think at all. If you enjoyed Realist Hero, then this might be in the same vein as that, but it is strictly lower quality. There are some interesting concepts being thrown around here and some unanswered questions, such as why the demon king has such adoration for the MC. But aside from those unanswered questions, this really just is a standard workaholic fantasy about being recognized for your hard work. Good catharsis for those who are looking for that specific strain of fantasy, but not much else outside of that. If you want something with better writing, Realist Hero is much better bang-for-your-buck and has better writing in general. This feels like a secondhand cash grab trying to copy Realist Hero. Don't go in expecting much more than the bare minimum for an Isekai.

A Man's Yearning For Good Boss Headhunted to Another World Is a story about a man, who wants what ever man wants, to be Appreciated by you qualities and not being kept down by bitter people, and this anime tells that story well. The reason to watch the anime is to see a man, who has been broken down, finally get his chance to be appreciated by his peers and by his boss, just a journey of self discovering to stop hitting yourself. It still have many of those izakai troops, that are just a bit to pandering, like a woman who likes him from the first episode, and women having very little clothes on, even if they do explain it in this one, but hey some eye Candy, I don't say no to. the Show is very good at showing headhunting skill, and how to be a skills diplomatic, and getting your projects on the market, and how it could be beneficial for a overlord. It's pretty nicely done. Sometimes you just need a good head on your shoulders, and colleagues that you can rely on. Society building, an economy building, the main guy does it all, he's one hell of a headhunted would recommend.

It's a good isekai, but if it weren't for the fact that it's a fantasy world, I'd probably give this series a bit of a miss. Uchimura is just a guy who has to solve marketing and diplomatic problems in the Demon King's realm and that's it - those problems are often nothing special and he doesn't come up with a particularly unique solution, plus they can easily be transferred to the human world, so there's really nothing new under the sun. The characters are assigned a certain role at the beginning, which they just do and no one gets any key character development, at least at the beginning they get to know the characters of the individual characters a little and they get to have personal dialogues with each other, but unfortunately it's a bit underdeveloped later on. It's a good relaxing thing to watch, but I would like more...

This is a 5 for most people - mainstream generic nothing to add filler but also not terrible or distractingly bad. The story isn't unique but the context is. There characters are either cardboard, or if you've ever been a middle manager some of them may be fascinatingly profound. If you've ever been in middle management, it kind of speaks to you on a whole other level if you're deranged enough to bath in the trash that is the isekai genre. It's somehow very validating and kind of funny seeing a part of "real life" captured in a satire like this. If you fall into that category too, it's an 8. Kanpai!

Did you ever ask yourself what would happen if instead of a hormonal teenager with a lot of dreams and aspirations getting isekaied to live out his fantasies, a walking corpse of a salaryman recieved that chance? Well, the author of this story sure did for whatever reason. Is it that bad ? Not really. It has it's certain ups and downs, but ultimately falls flat . There were plenty of ways this anime could've become quite intresting . It really tried to juggle with making the other generals and demon king iskandar smart enough to feel somewhat competent and stupid enough that they need a overworked salaryman from japan to run logistics on their military and infrastructure. Because that's what any company drone is capable of. But of course, Ushimura isn't really any salaryman isn't he? And that's what takes the charm away. They make this guy the chosen one, the key to everything and what not. I honestly prefer the usual isekai MCS. At least those guys are op so it makes sense they do everything . Because even they feel more of a real person then MC does. Dude's self-esteem is in the ground and he's a company guy, but he has no fear marching to the frontline confronting giant monsters and kings prone to violence by himself... That again made more sense with the average isekai MC . A series of decent plot points and stories, stitched togheter in a failed experiment to innovate isekai in an intresting manner. Because unique isn't always automatically better. Regardless of what people believe about the average isekai slop, the formula has it's charm. It awakens the sense of wonder and exploration. It's a form of escapism from the mundane and the ever increasingly harder and montone daily life. And in a world of fantasy with sword and magic, that's on the menu. Of course, the fact you're only shown 90% of the talking/paperwork filing and 10% of the fighting with horrendous animation and CGI doesn't help one bit. There's also shows that do what this anime try in a better and more intresting manner. And that bit where Iskandar wants salarybro to become the next king, like he's gonna really pull off defending the country when the next mountain wakes up and tries to chow down on your countrymen. God what a stupid thing to say. I did laugh when they randomly showed the oni tribe king at the end though. All in all, a decent way to pass the time, as there are far worse isekai stories trying to be unique out there (talking about your parallel world pharmacy). Just don't expect anyhing wow and you'll be fine.
