Go-Getters

Another absolute banger from Dad, Go-Getters is a certified ear worm that’s been stuck with me for the last few weeks, one I’ve found myself singing consistently and in the most random of places. The Holo ladies really know how to get my toes tapping and Calli's latest is just that. Really proud of her to have finally crossed the bridge into doing anime OPs and EDs, let’s hope herself and the others all get the opportunity to do more… Suisei does Dragon Ball! Watame for Ultraman! Korone for Super Sentai! Risu for Kamen Rider! The possibilities are endless and interchangeable.

its pretty well mixed and the production left me quite impressed. too bad apart from that this song is the musical equivalent of silly string and its so all over the place its like ive been stuck in a jar and shook around. hopefully mori figures out how to progress a song by the time her album comes out (not to say a beat switch makes a song all over the place its just done poorly here). it also sounds like she just fucks up and goes off key at some points but that might be on purpose, didnt sound good to me though. overall a very mediocre song i wont be returning to.

While the track itself is certainly one of better outings from the artists involved, the Video for it is very much underwhelming outside being decently produced all around. Quinn & Mori pretty much just (attempt to) aura farm for 3-4 minutes which WOULD be great for what the song is going for, but nothing about the visuals are necessarily coherent in the long-term or eye catching outside bare understanding of the what makes a good MV. The video attempts concepts such as paralleling the two throughout as the main premise or using striking psych/rave-esque visual segments but again if the video isnt structurally coherent enough to where these concepts could flourish than it feels like window dressing to a bunch of random shots & ideas the creators thought would look cool. Now i will backtrack to when i said the video was decently produced cause i do feel the animation is pretty alright throughout. There are some moments you could tell probably needed some fixing up to make them feel more natural but in general you can tell there was a level of care put into this being good. That being said however i do still feel this is an incredibly week MV on all fronts, and theres really not much your missing from spinning the track audio-only outside some neat 3-second shots at point. tl;dr/summ - There's a clear understanding of what makes a great MV for a track like this, but the MV falls flat in making something with meat on its bones (also why is the rest of the squad just there like have them do something if yr gonna put em in queen they feel so awkward)
