A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation
DarkSerenity666
More BL than most BL anime. I love it. Would highly recommend it. I have to write more about it but i don't want to spoil. If you want something easygoing as well as feel-good, it's for you. Are you OPENMINDU?!! You don't get an overpowered protag here. He's strong because he's smart, but physically week.. So he has a harem protecting him. Think of it as the classiest and pretty human being in existance making everyone turn their head twice. Who doesn't like that?? Hilarious moment tho: !st episode, the Blade's face is shaped like a Chad. No hate because it's hilarious. If thankfully gets fixed little by little so no worries there. I relate too much to the blondy on episode 12. I'm her.

Though there is definitely an audience for this show it did feel rather lacklustre. This probably would bave benefited from just allowing itself to be a BL and leaning into the heavy handed BL implications that persisted from the very first episode. However,it insists on having as many homoerotic implications as possible while dodging around simply allowing itself to be a gay story. Though the premise had potential and the concept of a cute twink making every man who sees him want to immediately follow him around like a love sick pup is certainly something that has a potential audience (myself included), it falls flat in terms of narrative. The focus seems to be on attracting a fujoshi audience rather than any real plotline. Any sense of tension was so quickly dealt with that it made no significant impact and the story feels like somewhat of an afterthought. It does have some positives. The characters are quite fun, each having distinct quirks and personality archtypes that all have some charm to them. The show also has a relaxing quality, it's the sort of narrative one can just sink into without having to pay close attention which can make for a nice cosy watch. It's nothing special as a series but there is certainly an appeal for the right audience, especially those who simply enjoy watching cute guys fawn over each other which can be fun in its own right.

Funny thing I noticed is that most people who don't recommend dropped it by ep 3 which is where I thought of dropping too however I was still chilling and enjoying and therr are a number of Animes that came to be favorites that I only started liking by ep 6 or even 8! So I continued watching. By the end I was considering buying the manga. So enjoyable. If you like a chill slice of life adventure with pretty characters that protect the protagonist, this is for you. It's not BL although with heavy BL undertones. By the end I wanted to protect Lizel too. He's the kind of character that grows on you the more time you spend with him. I really recommend.

If you forget that this is an Isekai, it's actually a decent anime that doesn't take itself seriously. The problems presented are always minor, easily solvable, and the personality of the MC is quite relaxed and carefree despite him being teleported to a different world. The supporting characters are rememberable and have their own style, and the MC thankfully isn't another Kirito face clone. The problem with this anime though, is that it's randomly GAY in each episode when it doesn't have to be. They couldn't commit to being fully GAY so they borderline tease us with implications of gayness and affection, instead of platonic admiration and respect. The gayness that is shown is always out of place, unwelcomed and distracting from the enjoyability of the anime. The only refreshing part about this is that Blade, his bodyguard and now respected party member, is a good cock blocker from all the gay that comes the MC's way, he never shows any gayness towards the MC and remains the cool, calm, strong and isolated support character that carries the show and prevents it from getting too gay. The Isekai aspect is pathetically done, you see the people from the MC's world twice, once at the middle of the series and once at the end, it would've been better if this idea was scrapped entirely and instead they focus solely on the world that they're in, maybe focusing on getting new party members as time passes. The world however, seems a bit too small, only having 3 major cities in the country that they're in, and taking about 5 days to travel between them. It would've served better to involve an outside influence, whether it be from overseas or across land in other countries, but for what it is, it serves okay at best. The final episode was a refreshing take as we meet the first and probably only major female interaction, they should've done this earlier and it would've done much better. There's also an interesting aspect where the MC has a conversation with a very minor character (Eleven's bandit subordinate) who doesn't even have eyes drawn, but is voiced and participates in a conversation with the MC, this is a seldom seen thing in anime and I actually enjoyed it very much. The potential is definitely higher than it could be, but what it is ain't that bad and actually kept me motivated to continue watching, the weak MC scenario is refreshing when so much slop is made where the MC can do everything and everyone else is just there to exist in a harem. The only drawback that I dreaded was having to deal with the next gay nonsense they'd throw at me. I recommend it if you can overlook the gayness.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. Sorry, had to get it out of my system. Lets start with the plot. MC is a loyal chancellor (prime minister?) in a fantasy world. When he suddenly gets transported to an alternate (but very similar) world, he decides to become an adventurer and enjoy this "vacation" until the king can find a way to bring MC back. Lets talk about the gay stuff. Think of MC as a heroine in a reverse-harem, where every beautiful man becomes obsessed with her. Except, MC is male and the series, for some reason, refuses to commit to the yaoi. The gay is only "implied", so, we end up with a "platonic harem" where everyone "likes" MC a lot. Think about that, platonic yaoi, lmao. The series is a slow-life fantasy. The focus is on characters and their interactions. There is no plot. We are just moving from one quest/adventure to another, while developing the relationships. There are some tense serious situations during action, but they are short and rarely threatening. There's plenty of simple comedy that made me laugh, and my favorite gag was everyone confusing MC as a noble, when he's an adventurer. MC is kind of a unique character, as he is always calm and relaxed. He's also pretty smart and is self-aware that others are attracted to him. It is important that you like this character, because most of the show is centered around him having conversation with various pretty male characters and petting them. I have always loved chill slow-life comedies, and this is no exception. Although, there were some weaknesses: art/animation is too plain/dry, the boring quests, lack of lore/fantasy-elements etc. First episode sets the right tone, so, you will find out whether you like this or not immediately. If you don't like slow-life shows, you should just skip this, as you are not the target audience.i

Disregarding some viewers' qualms about the bromance (BL vibes), this is actually a pretty interesting story. The isekai is unlike the usual ones. The art style is good enough for the laid-back style of the story. The characters could be more 3D but are likeable. The MC especially is very interesting, and you would want to know more about him as you learn more... which is rare. He's definitely an enigma. The character's reactions to everything else are realistic, but towards the MC it's almost reverent... which ig is the character setting for the MC's charisma and nobility. People would enjoy this if they are into laid-back anime, bromance, isekai, or cool guys doing cool stuff. I started reading the novel cos I really wanted to know more. TBH, the bromance makes it more interesting lol. I wish the novel were complete.

" Legit Queerbait " As title suggests it's a queerbait in every possible way which I loved absolutely because it brings a smile and a feeling of shyness on your face . I bet who enjoyed this definitely smiled on some moments . We don't get sol iskeai often so, appreciate the studio who adapting these calm and mind soothing anime . 2-3 more sol iseaki coming this year like farming in the another world 2nd season . Designs are cool , bond which they showed is admirable it's more like a brotherhood rather than Bl , whole adventuring arc is enjoyable . They introduced different characters time to time to make story more intriguing but I won't mind seeing just a single person adventures . I don't think we getting a another season because it's a marketing stunt . Overall it's a fun to watch , definitely 1 time watch kind of anime .

First question to answer "Is this some BL" Technically no. As such I would consider it worth while enough to watch. All the characters are straight as far as I can tell. The problem is it is very... Weird. So The main character interacts with all the side characters, Very touchy feely clasps chins and stuff like that. Things that If another man tried to do to me in real life MIGHT get me to throw some fists, But I am adverse to even shaking hands with most people so it might be just a me thing IDK. So It is just odd to watch men be like that. Is it BL bait? Probably, Then again I have known some writers that were so innocent that they could not even see things as such. -It is almost like all the Friend/Side Cast are Dogs in human form, which is why petting and holding and comforting makes sense. It is like If all my childhood dogs became human but I still dealt with them as though they were pups. -Me thinking about this show Is the show good? Yeah its a strange laid back fantasy setting with True Friendship. Is the Friendship odd? Yes. Yes it is very odd, but It just barely stays on the realm of Ok, Reasonable. Now at this point you might be asking yourself Is there anything other than interpersonal relationships to this Review? yes. But it was the main Weird part to the show so I figured I would get that out of the way. *Spoiler* It is totally "Fujoshi Bait" as the last episode has a very clear part where the MC could quash all the BL fan shipping, but does not. Simply for the BL lovers to stay interested. But at the same time it is confirmed "All straight no bait" by the author. -World Building, Excellent I loved the dungeon designs, world logic stuff like that. Though the entire world seeming fits onto an island the size of the contiguous great Britain, with only Three major cities, which is odd. -Characters, They are all cool, and unique, and I am sure if you were into men at least one of them would suit you. -Story, Its legit just Day to day Life of a chill hyper-competent guy isekaid from one fantasy world to the next. So honestly not bad. BUT most of the story is revolving around gaining friendship. Or rather Accepting people who become oddly(Like almost magically charmed/hypnotized level of weirdly) enamored with the MC. -Music was alright, It actually had a few notable moments with a couple of string instruments that stuck out(in a good way) a little to me. Which is rare for me to notice anything Musical in a show. -Art. 7.5/10 ---The thing that makes the show hardest to watch, is how quickly the Bros come around to being infatuated, one of them literally got a head pat in the first meeting and was MC Stan #1. No buildup or anything. Just immediate "I would sacrifice everything for this brand new friend" And how Intense their "Bro factor" becomes. Overall I enjoyed it, but the MC was so touchy feely, Man or Woman it would have been odd and off putting to see in real life at least for me, The side characters while likable were a bit... Brainwashed seeming. But maybe Having true Bros makes people like that idk. Friends are a hard thing for me to understand in this life. TLDR. Weird Fujoshi bait, but Strictly acceptable for your Christian minecraft server at least for this season. 6/10

I absolutely LOVED this show. In order to enjoy this show as much as I did, you have to be someone who: (1) reads and enjoys manga/manhwa using the noble setting with dukes/royalty often, (2) enjoys BL elements, (3) enjoys slice of life, (4) enjoys dialogue-heavy shows, and (5) enjoys isekai shows. I am LITERALLY ALL OF THESE THINGS, so this was totally my cup of tea. Dialogue is where this show absolutely shines. As someone who loves beautiful animation, I enjoy the dialogue so much in this show, that it doesn't even bother me that the animation here is trash. The comedic timing is also so funny and cute. It's a real shame that the people who gave this show a low ranking didn't appreciate how great the script writing was in this show. Lizel is such a competent speaker and analyzer - I bet he is a force to be reckoned with in noble society engagements. It's the "he's smiling gently, but he will absolutely destroy you if he wanted to" vibe. He's smiling gently, but he's already thinking 12 steps ahead. He navigates social situations with such finesse. Everyone who gets charmed by him are sooo whipped by him and adorable. Lizel does really unexpected things and it shocks me. Like how did he even pick up on subtle things. He's also an excellent manipulator.

Prime "so bad it's good" anime. Watch it through the lens that the writers are playing gay chicken, and you'll have a gut-busting hilarious time. I'm tempted to suggest a drinking game, but it would probably kill you. If you can find the tension funny instead of frustrating, then give the first few episodes a watch. I have no idea how much is translation specific, but with a character named Stud, other characters referring to MC as a "twink", and so many screenshots and clips that are 100% BL out of context, there's a layer of meta humor over the whole thing. As for "normal" metrics of a good show, this one is pretty terrible. The characters are one-note, the world is hyper-generic fantasy, the plot has no through-line, and the title makes no sense. It's not even really an isekai in that there's minimal interplay between the character's outsider perspective on the new world he finds himself in, and there's no real drive to make a new life or return to the old one. By just about every metric, this show is a failure. It saves itself a bit by never looking ugly, but you can tell that it's a low-budget animation. I recommend this show purely because of the comedy value of watching the creators absolutely clip-farm gay moments like they're begging fans to make AMVs with their favorite ships.

I honestly can’t fully explain why I stuck with this one—it’s super episodic, predictable, and nothing really stands out. But somehow, I just liked it. Lizel is a refreshing MC: calm, smart, and socially aware without being edgy or overpowered. His dynamics with the cast carry the show more than the story itself. Animation and character design are pretty mid, and overall it’s kind of a “nothing burger”… but still a really chill, pleasant watch. It’s a “turn your brain off after a long day of work” type of show and I’m cool with it 🤗 Would I watch a season 2? Yeah, probably.
discpigeon
It's a slow paced adventure that grows with each episode. Lizel takes his time to carefully analyze each situation and maneuver things to his advantage. He's slowly building a harem of hot guys who would kill for him just by being his cute self. Definitely watch if you enjoy comfy vibes, slow burn, and slice of life. I wish I had a cozy adventure surrounded by hot guys tbh. Art style is cute, story is unique, and the characters have interesting friction. The dungeon exploring is mostly just a casual side plot, so don't expect big action scenes. I can't wait to see why my boy slipped into a parallel world. (it's not isekai, btw)

an enjoyable enough show with some laughs and some intrigue. two main story arcs are covered here, everything up to the town they visit, and then the forky gang saga. the first half is much better than the second, as is typical. having a more vindictive calm main character (lizel) is a nice change of pace, though its not very well balanced by his excessively stoic co-lead (gil). if you dont like lizel, you wont like the show, full stop. the other characters exist to react to the unpredictable things he does, which generally include whims, some political maneuvering, and deliberately toying with people. if the execution on those things was done with a better pen, i think we'd be in for a 8/10 show, but its often resolved in a way that isnt completely satisfying. there is light action but its overwhelmingly a show propelled by drama. no one's getting hurt (assuming they pass the colored hair test, you know how anime is), no ones really in danger, it's just not that kind of show. still, its a good enough time to get some enjoyment, even if the production value of the show is very average.

Reviewing this anime is very polarizing - you gotta like it from episode 1 or you gotta drop it. The voice cast and the characters really held my attention more than the story and plot -- which wasn't really much to begin with. I started liking the show a lot more after Eleven (the red-haired snake guy) appears -- he adds the spice to the food that was so far being cooked on salt and water -- I don't think I could've taken anymore Liz and Blade's adventuring any longer because frankly, Blade stopped having anymore dialogue after episode 2 lol. The animation leaves a lot to be desired not going to lie, I genuinely felt that I was following the story-line along mostly on voice acting and subtitles lol. Its not that the animation is "unwatchable" or "bad", some frames have more detail than the rest of the frames in an episode which was....weird to me, like I'm guessing that not a lot of budget was poured into this by the studio but you're also taking the time to have some frames perfected? Anyway, we grew up with the 90s / early 20s anime, it's at par. I'm glad that the characters at least were all likeable -- to pull that off in an anime that is already running on limited resource is commendable in my opinion. Liz was fun to watch -- his personality actually reminded me of a similar character I watched in some other anime which I couldn't put my finger on; I like these types of characters in stories so it was fun to watch (although the material was limiting). Blade & Judge were fine, I sort of lost interest in both of them after some time. Stud I really liked -- he's cool and poker-faced but has this traumatizing past and is absolutely in love-w-respect for Liz. Then there's Eleven, probably my favorite character from the anime -- he adds that spice and tanginess and fun that was completely missing so far -- I did like the last 6 episodes of this anime because of him. Overall, I think this was an okay show. It had a lot of pitfalls: plot/story material was pretty limiting while there was this continuous underlining that there's 'more' than what you see (the 'getting isekai'd' part basically), animation dropping significantly, score wasn't much to commend on, stories i couldn't really come to care about, Liz wasn't even vacationing - he was off on adventures meddling with guilds and merchants and ever so slightly shifting the politics (like he's a chancellor what was to be expected), it didn't even do a good job in making this as episodic experience. Not to mention the to-gay-or-not-to-gay and then ended up in a lets-go-respectful-and-platonic rep which...I'm okay with - shipping is not the end all be all in my opinion, but the representation could have been more specific / had more specifics. In the end, I liked it enough; I thought I would be dropping this by episode 4 but I pushed through and Eleven saved the show for me. This anime is truly for those who like almost-gay-but-they-are-my-homies vibe, are looking to take a vacation from their 'serious' anime list and want a break / something happy-go-lucky without too much happening. It's a nice anime to wind-down to, but there are nicer anime out there which give a better winding down experience in my opinion. You won't be missing anything by skipping this, in fact, better watch "Isekai Office Worker" which actually commits to the BL and gay love, is carefree, and has better animation and coloring.
